So i recently moved from the city to a country town for a new job which pays significantly higher than what the city offers (150k plus 10k bonus yearly) and asked my girlfriend to move. I have some family here but no friends. I asked my girlfriend to move with me which she assumed initially i wasnt serious but once the offer was there i couldnt resist. We said 1year and if she absolutely hates it we can move back. Shes hating it. She works from home, has no friends here and doesnt really do any social activities, which i have encouraged her to do so she can get more involved. Shes persistant on me moving back to the city at the end of the year. My plan is to save as much as i can whilst im here so i can build us a home back in the city eventually. Do you think i should move back? I have good intentions and want to just make money whilst im young for a few years then move back indefinitely. Shes really pushing me that she cant deal with it and misses her friends and family and i worry im depriving her of this. She travels back monthly for a week sometimes up to 3 weeks.
Is it selfish of me to ask her to stay longer? I feel like im working my ass off so we can both benefit in the long run but she seems to be stuck in the moment and wants to hang with her friends. We live together and its great but she often complains and it puts me under pressure.
Not sure if im being selfish asking her to stay longer or im doing the right thing for us and eventually our family..

Hello! I am 38 and live in a lower COL area in the U.S. I have a background in marketing and communications but primarily the type where I write and design things, versus deal with any kind of growth or data analysis. I work for a company that doesn’t really need much in the way of the latter; they need someone to just handle managing their brand, building and sending out newsletters, keeping the site updated…really just keeping things looking nice and updated and maintaining good engagement with their customers all around. I very much enjoy just planning and making things versus having a lot of pressure to expand. It’s also a very “good for the community” company so I feel good knowing that the most important part of my job is more about service than it is about expansion and growth. I do have experience in the more “growth” side of digital marketing but it’s just not my favorite or my strength.
Thing is, I’m only making $60k (which isn’t nothing, I get that) and inflation is killing my family. I also feel like at 38, I should be further “up the ladder” than I am…”director” or “manager” of something, and at least pushing $100k if not sitting right there.
There’s really no growth opportunities at my job unless our comms director retires; her and I are the only two that do communications here.
But when I look around for any jobs that would net me a significant salary increase, I can never see how I’d qualify for them. I don’t feel like I have a 6-figure personality, if that makes sense…but I do feel confident I could be a director of communications or something of that nature and know what I’m doing.
Any advice on how to move up? I’m mostly interested in remote roles but when I look around I just don’t see how to convince someone I’m ready for anything beyond what I’m currently doing. Maybe it’s just a confidence thing.

I'm in a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend. I'm a 27-year-old female, and he's a 29-year-old male. We're going to celebrate our two-year anniversary this August. We met in our hometown through mutual friends during the summer and clicked instantly. He’s a wonderful and caring guy, and I love him so much. He makes the effort to visit me every 2-3 months since I can’t visit him due to visa restrictions.
Initially, the distance was manageable and didn’t affect me much. However, after our recent trip together, I returned home feeling deeply frustrated that he wasn’t with me. To make matters worse, I had a car accident on the second day back. Physically, I’m fine, but mentally, it took a toll on me. I wished he was here to support me.
I have a tendency to isolate myself when I’m feeling depressed. I haven't been to therapy due to the cost, but I try to analyze my behavior and stay aware of my mental state. This time, though, it’s been really hard. I feel miserable in my life here and unhappy. I used to love working out, but it doesn’t bring me joy anymore. There’s not much to do here besides going out and drinking on weekends. All my close friends, who aren’t many, live abroad, including my boyfriend.
My boyfriend has a very active social life, and it seems like the distance doesn’t impact him as much as it does me. I get jealous, not of the people he’s with, but because I want to be the one sharing those moments with him. I’ve started feeling like an accessory in his life. I know this isn’t true, but these feelings build up, making me angry and causing me to overanalyze everything. I struggle to communicate my feelings to him because I don’t want to seem jealous or needy. He gets confused and upset when I don’t communicate, but I just can’t find the right words.
I don’t think there’s a solution to closing the gap between us except getting married, which we haven’t planned. I honestly don’t know what to do.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you cope with it? Any advice on managing these feelings and the long-distance relationship would be greatly appreciated.

I’m a very noob in mechanical keyboards that doesn’t know much about it and I want to discuss with you which is the budget keyboard
Currently I have Nuphy Air75 V1 but I don’t like it
I feel a pain when I type on it like my fingers are hitting a rock, I mean it is hard and doesn’t have any flex
I heard that Rainy75 is now considered as one of the best budget keyboards on the market
But then I heard that new challengers arrived, like Chilkey ND75, Womier SK75 and Bridge75
A few notes:

• I want the best keyboard in typing feel and experience, a keyboard that feel so easy on my fingers
• I heard that if the keyboard has foam, gasket mount and flexible it will be better, right?
• I don’t know how to mode keyboard and I don’t know/plan to open/change anything in the keyboard, I just want it to be so good out of the box
• I don’t search for the best keyboard in build quality, I just want the best keyboard in typing experience
• The sound of keyboard is not a top priority for me, I not a keyboard nerd, so its enough if the sound is good

So after these note, Can you please answer the following questions:
1- Which keyboard is the best for me between Rainy75, Chilkey ND75, Womier SK75 and Bridge75?

The boxes or whatever theyre called containing 150 players is absolutely absurd. have a favourite player in them that youd like to get? Tough luck. You have to spend alot of money, waste your saved coins, or get extremely lucky. I am a f2p player and the fact i cannot get my favourite player when konami release them is so annoying. And even though there is an equal chance of getting every player, having 147 players being unusable when you get them is crazy. A bit less if you wanna get the B players (are you crazy?). You would need 13.5k coins to guarantee your targeted player(s), less if youre lucky. But it would probably still be in the hundreds or thousands of coins, and even for a p2w player, that costs so much, and there are new boxes every week? Im not sure, but the boxes do renew, and if you have players you would like to get in different boxes, youd have to spend alotttt more tham 13.5k coins. The boxes with 11 players such as the potw and european championship boxes are so much better, but the catch is you cannot build them or add skills that you would like. The game really sucks alot if you plan to get your favourite players. Like me, as a bayern fan i really wanted lahm and rummenigge, but they were all in 150 player boxes, so i didnt want to waste my coins just to get a random 76 rated guy. Although, the free players they give out are great as a f2p player, such as costacurta, beckenbauer etc.NCs are also good, but i hate the fact that they expire. The fact the pass is on sale is pretty good, but the coins you get is nowhere near enough to get like MVB from the european league attackers box. This is my first rant lol idk if i even put out a good argument. I just wrote my ideas and didnt really write them like am academic paper.

This is book is a credo and a guide book to your own happiness via an accomplished romp through the psychological literature which Haidt uses to explore the truths of ancient religion. I'm surprised it's not a wild best seller, but I think I know why - it doesn't have an singular and catchy formula for your salvation which you can learn in your lunchtime and hear about ad nauseam on late night TV infomercials. Just well written, well thought out commentary on the formula for a happy and fulfilled life distilled from the psychological literature.
7. It's All in Your Head: Thinking Your Way to Happiness by Stephen M. Pollan, Mark Levine: If you've ever wanted to have a conversation with someone on a normal level about undoing negative thinking patterns, this book is about the closest you'll ever get in written form. The style is conversational, pragmatic, and realistic. Kind of like talking to a favorite uncle or aunt who is just "on the mark" about dealing with life. The book focuses on 8 behaviothought patterns that hinder us from being happy NOW, and provides simple, easy "exercises" to do to help overcome them. It is also one of those rare self-help books that the whole family can read, enjoy, and profit from. In my opinion, this book is better than any other I've read by Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Nathaniel Branden, and many others. If you've ever thought you can be happier, YOU CAN, and this book can help you get there.
8. Handbook on the Economics of Happiness by Luigino Bruni, Pier Luigi Porta: This Handbook provides an unprecedented forum for discussion of the economic issues relating to happiness. It reviews the more recent literature and offers the interested reader an insight into the vast scope of the field in terms of the theory, its applications and also experimental design. New to the subreddit, nice to be here. I've commented on a number of posts and seen a few repeats of similar questions or situations I went through the last few years preparing, researching and eventually pulling the trigger on my first property here in the UK.

I just finished the third one - 'Land of the Dead' - and it while from annotations the trilogy sounded like just another military space opera it really resonated with me. I actually came for the archeology part in the first book, but stayed for the military and world-building.
The covers don't really do the trilogy justice, you can see that the artist only got a very vague description of the books/main character. The second book is especially laughable since the depicted big cat is actually a sentient bi-pedal alien in the book :D and not some kind of a pet.
I absolutely love the characters and the world-building (alternate history - Earth is ruled by a Mexica-Japanese empire + aliens + grand scheming + archeology).
It seems that the author is alive and well, I hope, but the last book is from 2009 and is also his latest book in general. The official website is down, and there is as good as no information online about these books except for some reviews, it looks like the trilogy/universe went completely under the radar. I found some info that the author planned at least 3-4 more books and even the planned titles are mentioned, but nothing more.
Does anyone know anything about the future of this universe or the author? He shares his name with some German movie maker which makes him more or less un-google-able.

Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out today because I'm working on an internship project where I need to build a data lake (or possibly multiple data lakes) and a data pipeline to handle various existing IIoT data formats (MQTT, OPC, AMQP, HTTP, etc.).
My goal is to create a data pipeline that connects all my devices, the OPC server, the ERP-MES system, and the data lake(s). I'm currently exploring options for this data pipeline.
One approach I'm considering involves using Node-RED as a gateway to collect data and send it to Apache Kafka in its original format. The data would then be transformed into JSON format within Kafka and finally delivered to my data lake (potentially InfluxDB or MongoDB).
As an alternative, I'm also evaluating the possibility of using a combination of Apache NiFi for data extraction and loading, along with Apache Kafka for data transformation, before storing the data in my data lake.
I'd appreciate any additional suggestions you might have, or if anyone has experience building data lakes in industrial environments. Additionally, please let me know if there are any critical aspects I may be overlooking in my project plan.

Now that her v3 kit is released, i saw alot of discuss but one problem that i dont see people talk about much is the skill point rotation in her team now

• Gallagher can play SP positive like luochad if your team can destroy enemies before they reach you, but if boss is too tough, you will need to use SP per 2 or 3 turn
  
• Ruan mei provide 1 SP/ 3 turn, could be 2/3 turn if you have her LC
  
• HMC need to skill/skill/basic to ult and to max superbreak dmg you will want HMC to skill all the time in broken state, so HMC is SP minus
  
• Firefly want to skill all the time. AND this is our problem, in v3, firefly is SUPER fast and can reach 210 spd easily for at least 50% of battle, so Firefly will be a destroyer of SP, and with her spd so fast, the whole team will need to build super fast to provide enough for our beloved destroyer.
  

Now that we see the problem, the solution to this problem is very simple E1 firefly and Ruan Mei LC, the value of them are bigger than ever and i suggest pull for firefly e1 and ruan mei LC (If she got rerun) first before looking for firefly LC as Aeon LC is now very good for her.
My pull plan now change to e1 firefly first, then ruan mei LC, then firefly LC and finish with firefly e2 if i can win 50/50 at least 2 times. Do you think i can do this with 400 pull and a guarantee now (jades calculate to the end of her banner)
