2024.05.21 20:05 xiphia How's your grail going, and how are you doing it?

I'm down to 8 items on my solo online grail:
I play a fairly even split of solo on Switch, and p5 on desktop (I've got 4 spare accounts after I lost my patience with other players in public games).
While I could build a Pitzerker I would find the repetitiveness of the grind a little bit too boring, so I just grind whatever the current TZ is as I gradually get all classes to 99. Currently got 99 Paladin, 99 Assassin, 96 Amazon, 94 Barbarian, 94 Sorceress, 92 Necromancer, and 92 Druid. More or less taking turns to do a level per character to keep things varied.
I find it kinda funny that almost half the items I'm missing are from TC3 - doesn't seem worth focus farming them until I've found all of the high level drops!

What should I look for when it comes to HMC relics and planar?

I've played the game since launch, but still have mostly no understanding of stats aside from just using the recommended button. This is because I've only really bothered with main game content and haven't needed to build my characters well. I want to get HMC as good as possible for Firefly, so I was hoping you guys could help me out with what I need to look for for the relic stats. Any other tips are appreciated as well.

2024.05.21 20:03 Typhonoid The new "survival" difficulty options are great, but a few additions could create an even better experience.

I really love the new update for the game, and it's got me excited for what's to come next. I'm at NG+ 12 (lost count honestly), with a lot of hours logged, and I've got a lot of feedback for what would make the game a lot better. I know some of this has been said on this subreddit already, but I think it's worth saying again in the hopes that Bethesda is reading this while they start working on the next big update.
First, I would love a more difficult hunger and thirst mechanic, similar to Fallout 4 and New Vegas. In the current update, you either gain a static buff or debuff, depending on whether your character is satisfied or hungry/thirsty. However, Fallout 4 and NV had systems where the debuff got worse if you went longer and longer without food/water, up until player death. IMO this added much more depth to the game, and Starfield would be far more interesting if it had this as an option. This could be implemented as just another option on the sustenance difficulty settings, perhaps an "extreme" mode. A harsher sustenance system would also incentivize players to use outposts to generate crafting ingredients for food.
Second, we need the ability to scrap weapons and spacesuits for parts and materials. Currently, there is little incentive to pick up 99% of weapons and spacesuits that you find. An ability to scrap equipment at relevant workbenches would give the player an incentive to actually pick these up, because they can be a source of valuable parts that can be used to craft other things, just like how it works in Fallout 4. Additionally, it would be great if we could also upgrade lower-tier weapons/spacesuits ('refined', etc.) into higher-tier (advanced, etc.).
Third, I would love the ability to craft spaceship parts/modules/habs at outpost ship builders. It's great that we can purchase parts at spaceports, but the game is missing a great opportunity for a crafting system. I want the ability to spend (large) quantities of raw materials and rare parts to craft new modules for my ship. For balancing purposes, these ship modules should cost a lot of resources. For further balancing, and to encourage outpost usage, I also think that the ship module crafting should be limited to outpost shipbuilder landing pads only. I think this could also pair nicely with scrapable weapons and spacesuits, since you could scrap guns for rare parts that can be used for crafting a better ship cannon, for example. Also, I want the ability to scrap spaceship parts/modules/habs for materials and parts as well. I want to be able to take a ship that I salvaged/hijacked and scrap it for parts that I can use to craft habs for my other ships.
Finally, and I know this has been said here before, but I really think this game needs to add in the ship fuel mechanic that we all know they were working on but removed. This could also be an optional difficulty setting. FTL travel from system to system should spend some portion of your fuel reserves. How much fuel is spent should depend on how far the destination is, but also your ship build. For example, more expensive grav drives could improve fuel efficiency, but increasing your ship's mass too much could reduce fuel efficiency. Of course, adding more fuel tanks could increase fuel capacity. This could be as simple as adding a panel to the cockpit that functions as a container that only accepts He-3, and allows the player to deposit or withdraw He-3.
There are probably other features that could improve the game that I'm not thinking of, but these are the ones that I personally feel would make the game way better. I know Bethesda's team reads this subreddit so I am writing this post specifically for their eyes. Thanks for reading!
TL;DR: Would be nice to have Fallout 4-like survival difficulty options, scrappable weapons/spacesuits, craftable ship habs/modules, and limited ship fuel survival difficulty.

2024.05.21 20:02 TheSexyMario777 Theory: The ORIGIN of W.D. Gaster!

Theory: The ORIGIN of W.D. Gaster!
(And in case you're wondering, the answer is yes; we're doin' a sequel. 😎)
Hello Internet, welcome to 😳
Gaster. The most mysterious character in all of Undertale. Nobody knows where he comes from. Nobody knows where he went. Nobody knows who or what he is. We're not even sure on what he LOOKS like. from. Well, my loyal theorists, today I believe I have a theory on EXACTLY who and what Gaster is, where he came from, and where he is now. And spoiler alert, it's NOT from the Underground.
If you're reading this, you're probably wondering: "If Gaster isn't a monster from the Underground, then where is he from?" Some people believe that Gaster is actually the father of Sans and Papyrus. That's ridiculous, of course, because in our last theory, we established that Sans and Papyrus are actually Mario and Luigi, and thus can't be the sons of Gaster. (One loyal theorist by the name of Marfanis788 on fandom concluded that Papyrus might actually be the great Waluigi, but that's a theory for another day.)
Anyways, while this may be a bit of a controversial theory, but I believe that Gatsir is none-other than the GH(ass)T from MINCRAFP!!1! Now, I know what you're thinking: "That's preposterous! There's know way that gatsir is the ghast from minecrap." Well, with this evidence, I bet you'll be thinking differently.
For one, Ghaster and Gast have very similar names. They both originate from indie-games that have left a very significant mark on pop-culture of this generation, including some of the most recognizable characters in video game history. They both live in vast realms underground that have a close resemblance to hell, and they're both monsters. You still don't believe me? Well, consider the fact that BOTH characters are PALE-WHITE. 😱😱😱
Well, how could this have possibly happened? How could the iconic Ghast have possibly gone under such a transformation to become Gaster? Well, before we get into that, I have an announcement to make.
You've all been waiting for it. THAT'S RIGHT! MERCH!!! MERCHANDISE! MARKETING!!!!1! Now, you can get your very own StillBetterThanYouLolz T-SHIRT!!!!
https://preview.redd.it/3vueu94kkt1d1.jpg?width=984&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c45d019588bbcdc4ed0f0f5b8088ad19f5db596f
"Why in the world would I ever buy this?" You may be asking yourself right now. Well, I'll have YOU know that this T-Shirt is actually worth more than your ENTIRE BLOODLINE**.** So what are you waiting for? Come on down and sell your soul for some MERCHH!!!1! Only $9,000,000! Link is right here! BUY NOW!!!11!
Now, back to the theory. The Nether takes place in a different dimension than the Overworld. So how would a Ghast get to the Overworld? Well, how does one cross from the Overworld to the Nether? A Nether Portal. One day, the Ancient Builders from Minecraft (get caught up on minecart lore) are exploring the Nether, when one day, a few Ghasts cross through the portal. When the Ancient Builders come back after exploring, they find that the Ghasts had killed their most prized possesion; their Minecraft Dogs**.** All of them. All of the dogs were dead. The builders think that these were Overworld monsters doing personal attacks against them, as they never went to the Nether Wastelands when in the Nether. So, they declare war against all monsters that they find, monsters that they were once at peace with. And yes, the Human-Monster War all started because somebody killed their Minecraft dogs.
The Ancient Builders begin a plan to force all of the monsters undeground, starting with the Ghasts. Most of the Ghasts end up dying out, as they can't survive without the intense heat of the Nether as their climate. However, a few had been able to survive and evolve. They had gotten smaller, and were able to use some of their tentacles as hands. They had also developed critical thinking, similar to that of humans and overworld monsters.
Now at this point, generations have passed, and the Human-Monster War has ended. The next few parts of this theory take place far after the events of Minecraft, as the Human-Monster War is still going on at that point. We know this as monsters still roam the Overworld at this point, and they attack humans on sight, so we know that they're at war. We can also tell that the war is almost over, and the humans are winning, as the monsters are so weak that (with a few exceptions) they can only come out at night time.
Now at this point, there is only one Ghast left. And his name is Gaster. Gaster had blown through most of the Underground, making most of it one massive cave. (Also, one part became really cold and started snowing for some reason, while the other part basically became the Nether because climate change = yes. Also, to help survive, Gaster moved to the Hotlands because Ghasts need that hot climate to survive, as I mentioned earlier. He also built his lab there.)
Anyways, Gaster had been looking for redstone while in the Underground. And after years of searching, he finally had enough to use for his project. Using Redstone Technology, Gaster had created a machine that would turn him into a human so that he could finally leave the Underground and get revenge on the humans who forced him and his people to flee underground all those years ago. Using a tooth from one of the Ancient Builders from all those years ago, he used the DNA to turn himself into a human. However, the experiment went wrong, and his Ghast form instead merged with the human DNA, turning him into a humanoid Ghast.
However, Gaster was not ready to give up just yet; for he had an idea; an evil, cunning plan to build the most powerful machine in existence; so powerful, it could wipe out entire species. He was planning on building a time machine**.** He was going to use this machine to destroy all humans; not just in this dimension, but in every theoretical timeline**.**
Eventually, he was found by Asgore (who we discovered was actually the Evil Koopa King Bowser in our previous theory). After the death of Asriel, the son he had with Toriel (who we also discovered was actually Princess Peach in our last theory), Asgore grew mad with rage, and wanted to destroy all humans for what they had done to their kind and their family. Gaster had presented his idea to the angry king, who liked the idea so much that he appointed Gaster to the Royal Scientist of the Underground.
Gaster worked and worked, until finally, the time machine was finished. However, it was very unstable. The experiment failed, and instead of wiping humans from time, Gaster became time. The time waves also sent back Bowser and Peach back to the beginning of time, so that they could become Asgore and Toriel again, creating a time loop instead of a paradox.
Gaster was witnessed by different characters in four separate (theoretical) timelines. These witnesses scarred the characters, and they instantly started following Gaster. Some of these theoretical characters can be witnessed in the main timeline. They started spreading the story of Gaster to a select few in the main world.
These main world characters then started spreading the story to others, and the story eventually became well known among the Underground monsters. People started calling him Warped Doctor Gaster, or W.D. Gaster for short, as he was warped across time and space.
Still don't believe me? Still think that I fabricated this whole story to sound as ridiculous as possible while still having a kind of coherent plot line? Well, think back to Entry 17. Now, think of Entry 17 being connected to this WHOLE THEORY. "Darker, darker, yet darker. The darkness keeps growing. The shadows cutting deeper." It references Gaster being forced into the Underground by the Ancient Builders; the darkness of the cave consuming him, and the shadows of his past cutting deeper into his mind, piercing him with the trauma he felt on that fateful day.
Now, the next part of the entry reads "Photon readings negative. This next experiment is going to be very, very interesting...." refers to Gaster first working on his time machine, as it took so much energy to run that each experiment he ran on it failed...until it didn't.
Now, the last part of the theory is what stood out the most to me. At the very end of the entry, Gaster says "What do you two think?" Now, many people think that this is Sans and Papyrus. However, in our previous theory in which we proposed Mario and Luigi as Sans and Papyrus, we discussed that Sans and Papyrus would've just been entering the Underground when Gaster got warped. So it can't possibly be them, as the timing just doesn't match up.
Well, who else could it be? It might've been Asgore and Toriel, except that Toriel had likely already divorced Asgore at this point. So what other duo do we know in the game that he could be talking to? Could it be characters we haven't been introduced to yet? Well, you see, I believe that the answer is much more simple than that. I believe that the people he's referring to is actually none other than KRIS AND SUSIE FROM DELTARUNE!!!!!!!!!!11!🤯🤯🤯🤯
But that, my friends, is a theory for another day. 😏
So, there you have it, folks. Gaster is actually a Ghast and the Human-Monster War was started because he accidentally killed the Ancient Builders' dog in Minecraft.

2024.05.21 19:56 3lite768 [OTHER] How a Zelda MMO Could Work

This is my proposition for the MMO, The Legend of Zelda: War of Hyrule.
Object of the game: The armies of Queen Zelda and King Ganondorf are at war. The game is over upon the assassination of either. The player must choose a faction and cannot change sides until the defeat of Ganondorf or Zelda. It will all start again after. Ganondorf and Zelda are controlled by humans whose full time job is playing the game. There will be six people playing as each. Three people taking an 8 hour shift Monday-Friday and three people on Saturday and Sunday. When one has to call in sick or use PTO, one will take over another's shift. They can turn on AI when they need to go to the bathroom or out to lunch. The people playing as Link and Dark Link are rewarded to the player with the highest kills of their respective factions.
Ganondorf has a country to the north of Hyrule, over the gorge, past the badlands complete with it's own castle, depths, sky islands, and surface. Players to his faction start there. The country is named Drogmire.
Hyrule has been restored and even expanded. Hyrule Castle is even bigger because they put in a middle section of the castle when it got separated and they now have a really big basement going to the bottom of the depths. The final boss area in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is repurposed to be part of Hyrule Castle. The damaged areas are also repaired. Hyrule Castle Town Market has been restored to contain a variety of stores.
The game is $10 a month. $5 with a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. The players of the winning faction get the next month free. Everyone pays the first month. If multiple victories happen in one month, only the first one counts. The monthly fee will contribute to the wages of the people playing as Zelda and Ganondorf, maintenance, and adding additional features.
There are ten playable races. Five to each faction. Everyone starts out with 23 hearts. 17 shrines per race. Other races cannont enter the shrine designed to that particular race. There is a boss at the end of every shrine, but only 17 total. You can rechallenge three of the bosses a day. Upon the completion of a shine a heart container will be awarded. Stamina vessels will be purchased for 2000 rupees each. More shrines may be added as time goes on.
There will be a new separate armor set for shoes.
You can create your own character's physical appearance in an avatar creator. Players have the option of letting AI suggest a physical appearance. In order to avoid everyone wearing the same looking armor, AI will decide what each set of armor looks like or you can edit it yourself. The effect of the armor is the same for everyone. The Hateno Dye Shop can make other alterations besides color change.
Fast travel is limited to once per day. Completed shrines are the fast travel points and the map builder. Shrines also act as a launchpad. Maps are unavailable in enemy territory. This prevents an absolute frenzy to one location when the locations of Zelda or Ganondorf are revealed. Fast travel cannot be done inside enemy territory except to exit. Entering is not allowed.
The new type of Goo called Bliss will he introduced. It is the glowing yellow version of Gloom. Those in Zelda's Faction will experience healing in Bliss while those in Ganondorf's faction will be hurt by Bliss. There will also be a new food called Light Clumps. They offer Bliss Warding for Ganondorf's Factions, but are poison to Zelda's Faction. Dark Clumps are poisonous to Ganondorf's faction. It will cause poison damage if used as a weapon such as fused to an arrow or a melee weapon.
Powers of Purah pads for Zelda's Faction and Astor pads for Ganondorf's faction include Ultrahand, Fuse, Autobuild, Ascend, Rewind, Stasis, and the three new abilities: Grow, Shrink, and Arrow Prefusion. They also act as phones to communicate with other players over a distance.
Playable races to Zelda's faction.
Hylian: Level 3 Stealth Unarmed ability is Earthwake. Sprint upon pressing B. Material drops upon defeat: femurs and ears.
Rito: Level 2 Cold Resistance Unarmed ability is Gust Flight upon pressing B. No stamina is consumed when gliding, but stamina is consumed when obtaining lift. Material drops upon defeat:Beaks and wings.
Goron: Level 2 Fireproof Unarmed ability is Charge. Rolling upon pressing B. Cannot swim, but can walk on bottom of water. Cannot ride horses except giant ones. Material Drops upon defeat are back shells and hands.
Zora: Level 3 Swim Speed. Unarmed ability is Water Slash. Sprinting upon pressing B on land, super speed swimming in water. Cannot drown, even when stamina is depleted. Can swim underwater. Material Drops upon defeat: Head and arm fins.
Gerudo: Level 2 Heat Resistance. Unarmed ability is Riju's Fury. Sprinting upon pressing B. Materials dropped upon defeat: arm bones and rib cages.
Playable characters to Ganondorf's faction.
Bokoblin: Level 3 Speed Up. Unarmed ability is charge. Sprint upon pressing B. Materials dropped on defeat: horns and fangs.
Moblin: Level 3 Bliss Warding Resistance. Unarmed ability is Ground Pound. Sprint upon pressing B. Cannot ride horses except giant ones. Materials dropped upon defeat: horns and fangs.
Lynel: Attack Up Level 3. Unarmed ability is Fire Breath. Dash upon pressing B at the cost of one full stamina wheel. Cannot ride horses, shield surf, or paraglide, or climb. Materials dropped upon defeat: Sharp horn and blunt horn.
Lizalfo: Shock Resistance Level 3 Unarmed ability is Water Ball Spit. Sprint upon pressing B on land, super speed in water. Cannot drown even when stamina is depleted. Can swim underwater. Materials dropped upon defeat: horns and fins.
Gibdo: Defense Up Level 3. Unarmed ability is Sandstorm. Flight upon pressing B. No stamina consumed when gliding, but stamina is consumed when obtaining lift. Materials dropped upon defeat: ribcage and wings.
Ganondorf, Zelda, Link, and Dark Link all have 40 hearts, three stamina wheels, and all max level buffs. All their stock weapons are unbreakable. Melee weapons do 100 damage unfused, bows do 50 damage, and shields have 90 Shield Guard.
In game communication is avaliable. A USB keyboard can be plugged into the Nintendo Switch. Voice chat is also available. Since all Gerudos must be female and all Gorons must be male, there is also an AI voice changer you can use to sound like your opposite gender. Not that a wrong gender sounding voice is unacceptable. It can also be used to personalize your voice for your other characters if you choose.
All forageable materials respawn every midnight in the Pacific time zone because that is where Nintendo of America is located.
Players can buy, sell, donate, or trade items at their own agreed price. To prevent inflation, there will be only 2 billion rupees in the game. The prices in shops will be adjusted by AI in a supply and demand algorithm.
Local 2 player splitscreen is available.
There will be robot factories where people can assemble their own robots that are AI controlled to hunt down enemies.
There will be a real estate system. Players can buy and sell land and houses. They can design their own homes and store any excess items there.
Champions and Divine Beasts
Whomever has the most kills within that race is labeled the Champion. Each Champion is rewarded with a mansion that has its own armory, storage space, and garage for their own Divine Beast. Only Champions may use Divine Beasts. Kills made while piloting a Divine Beasts do not count towards your kills to keep your position as a Champion or to play as Link or Dark Link because Divine Beasts are overpowered. The Divine Beasts include the ones from the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and more for Hylians, and all of Ganondorf's faction.
Divine Beast Vah Epona: The Divine Beast that is a horse. Piloted by the Hylian Champion.
Divine Beast Vah Boko: The Divine Beast that is a boar. Piloted by the Bokoblin Champion.
Divine Beasts Vah Ursus. The Divine Beasts that is a bear. Piloted by the Moblin Champion.
Divine Beast Vah Leonis. Divine Beast that is a lion. Piloted by the Lynel Champion.
Divine Beast Vah Saurian. Divine Beast that is a serpent. Piloted by the Lizalfo Champion.
Divine Beast Vah Noctis. Divine Beast that is a bat. Piloted by the Gibdo Champion.
Kill Counts against AI based enemies do not count for being a Champion, Link, or Dark Link.
Death
Upon dying, another race within your faction must be chosen. Your other unplayed races will join you as avatars. The avatars can take damage and be defeated. Food can be used to heal Avatars. Avatars can be double teamed to use unarmed ability. Avatars have unbreakable stock weapons. Avatars can be healed with food. Upon the defeat of all five races, all can respawn. Upon your defeat you lose 1 of your weapons, bows, and shields for any surrounding players to grab. You will also lose 10 materials chosen at random.
New items Goron Bow: Normal arrows into fire arrows automatically.
Light Clump: Bliss Warding food. Poisonous to Zelda's faction.everything isthmus.
Armor of the Depths (Light Version): Bliss Warding armor for Ganondorf's faction.
Ice shoes: Freezes the ground with each step. Allows for walking on water and lava.
Iron Boots: Makes wearer heavy. Allows for walking on floor of water or to stay put in strong wind.
Cockpit: Zonai device that encases user. Possible uses can include the build for submarines. Also allows for shielding for vehicles.
Oxygen Tank: Zonai devices for extra air. Can be used for scuba diving or for additional air for submarine builds.
Gibdo Bow: Normal arrows turn into shock arrows automatically.

2024.05.21 19:51 DuncanWarning Dhampir specific feat for bite

Building an evil campaign for a group of my friends. At a certain point in the story I plan to grant them unique customized feat/boons. One member is playing as a dhampir sorcerer. My current idea for her feat would be as follows:
+1 constitution
can use dhampir bite as a bonus action each turn. bite additionally gains an extra d4 of damage at 5th, 9th, 13th and 17th level.
So my question is how does this fit balance wise in relation to other feats. When creating the feats for other characters id like to keep them equally powerful.
Also balance wise how would this compare to official feats.
All insight is appreciated, thank you!

2024.05.21 19:50 RodMCS Does this game have a good range of weapons and gear?

I like to play games where I can make many different character builds, unlock a lot of different weapons, and have a team where everyone is rocking something different (like one is a slow tank with a machine gun, another is an agile assassin with a hand cannon, pretty much destiny 2). Is this game right for me?

I’ve gotten pretty good in Tactician mode and am starting to understand how to build good characters better, and I want to take a crack at honor mode. But before I do that, I want to know how tactician mode and honor mode differ so I know what I’m getting myself into. Any tips?

2024.05.21 19:45 unbeatablecezar I need advice on how to make a Paladin-Druid build (I know..)

Hi, I'm a relatively new DnD player (4 campaigns finished) and I want to try multiclassing because I heard it's a fun and challenging way to spice up your character and campaign overall. I know I shouldn't be going with such incompatible classes as my very first multiclass but I have a history on going hard on myself in DnD (even if my history is short..). This is the first time I've asked for advice on DnD on reddit and it's because I have absolutely no idea how I'm supposed to build this.. I'd love to figure it out on the way but the next campaign is relatively serious.. Any help is massively appreciated!! (sorry if the tag is wrong, I didn't know what to pick)

2024.05.21 19:44 oreosss Another post to see if we can solve the PC stuttering issues. Really hoping to sort this out before Akuma drops.

I'm at my wits end. I've seen lots of posts after googling with many people with the same problem, some reasonable suggestions but nothing has worked (see below for everything that's been done).
The symptom is - regardless of graphics (low, medium, high) or internal resolution being set to 1 and the game looking like utter crap, it can't maintain a 60fps.
The menus itself run buttery smooth (as to be expected) and run at 120 FPS.
All other games that I play (Helldivers 2, Tekken 8, Against the Storm, etc.) all perform very well as to be expected from my build.
Here are my specs:
Nothing is overclocked. All temps are perfectly fine.
Here are the steps that I've taken:
  1. Turned on perform shading within the game options
  2. Disabled all Steam Input
  3. Disabled Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator in Device Manager
  4. Formatted my computer
  5. Downgraded to Nvidia 536.40 (currently using this at the moment)
  6. Downgraded to Nvidia 540.xx (forgot but it was in a thread)
  7. Upgraded to latest graphics driver
  8. Verified all files on steam
  9. Unplugged any other devices.
  10. Created a new user profile to ensure it wasn't a shared program
  11. Moved the game to the same NVME drive as my OS
  12. Uninstalled and reinstalled on both NVME drives (my games drive and OS drive)
  13. Loaded every single character and every single map twice.
  14. Changed who was managing VSync (sf6, nvidia, and rivatuner)
  15. Disabled Xbox game bar
  16. Disabled steam controller drivers.
As you can see, I've tried almost everything - and all I can hope for now is that the Akuma patch comes with some necessary fixes that Capcom hasn't acknowledged, but that seems very unlikely.
Any help is truly appreciated, as well as people who are suffering from the same problem to speak up.
Edit:
Added 2 more things that I did that I forgot.

2024.05.21 19:36 dorseyhorsey [Online] [5e] [21+] [LGTBQ+ friendly] [PST Weekdays] Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk - newbie friendly!

Hi everyone! Thanks for peeking in. I’m new to the DM role and hoping to pull a group of 4-5 players together to run Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. This is a good adventure for beginners because it starts out very “classic Dnd” with a little mountain village to help and treasure to get before opening up into bigger, otherworldly threats, and especially for people interested because of BG3 because a lot of the ideas will be familiar (goblin camps, mind flayers, ect). Experienced players are more than welcome as well, though!
About the campaign: Last night, you were at a wedding. And today, the newlyweds are missing, kidnapped by goblins on their way to the village of Phalandin, to reopen a mine that was abandoned many years ago under mysterious circumstances. As you investigate the disappearances and get to know the village near the mine, you begin to realize that it was abandoned for a good reason – and whatever horrors were lurking there are no longer contained. This campaign will go through levels 1-13.
*Time: Roughly 5-9 pm PST, Wednesday or Thursday. (semi-flexible but has to be a weekday) Looking to start week after next, but might have a session 0 before then - alternatively we can hash things out over discord.
*LGBTQ+ friendly REQUIRED, not only is the inciting incident a gay wedding, but we don't need jerks around. Any kind of bigotry (racism, sexism, ableism, ect) at all will get you ejected from the game.
*Age range 21+, this campaign has horror themes that will on occasion get a little nasty, and I’m 31 and would be more comfortable playing with adults.
*Logistics: we'll use discord for voice, dndbeyond for character sheets, and Owlbear Rodeo for maps.
*Gameplay/tone: The adventure as written is pretty even between RP and combat, but I'm happy to lean one way or the other if players prefer. As said above, the back half of this campaign contains a good amount of chaotic horror elements. Otherworldly entities, body horror, PC transformations and the like are all on the table.
*Character building: Any official subclass/race is fine if you can justify their presense here (why would a githyanki bother hanging around a little mining village on the Sword Coast?) Since this campaign has more of a serious tone, what with the cosmic horror of it, please keep that in mind for character creation. Comic relief is great and sometimes even necessary but please don't give me a straight up joke character.
*Backstories – I want to see your backstory and find a way to integrate it into the story and cook up a sidequest that relates to it! But please keep in mind we are starting at level 1 so it should not be a novel. One page or less is fine! I'll provide some hooks to tie your character to the area and the important NPCs that you can use if you like.
If all that sounds good to you, great! Comment here and/or send me a DM, you can do that through reddit or discord @rackhams. Hope to hear from you!

2024.05.21 19:34 South_Agent_6853 Question About Building Scenes In Blender For Unity And Outfit Swaps

i want to create a turn based Fortnite game for fun, and I have a lot of blender assets to create the game ported from fortnite. Ideally, the game would be 3D and I would build the areas you can visit and enter (just a point and click interface) with some NPCs you can point and click on to talk to, kind of like a generic visual novel. I also wanted to have scenes and images that are rendered, like a small animation that is 5 seconds long of the players jumping out the battle bus when entering a dungeon to fight enemies in a more top down JRPG style. I'd like to make it so in these images or animations of the players jumping out the bus or whatever else, I can include every outfit variation (mostly just simple color swaps) for the characters so the players can choose different outfits in the game to wear and it would show in the scenes. The game is pretty simple in nature and uses mostly 3D assets from blender but I had a few questions.
I have no clue if I build the scenes and animations entirely in blender, as well as the 3d buildings/locations you can point and click on to enter, or do i just rig and add textures in blender and build all the levels and maps in Unity after. If I make a pre-rendered scene in blender can i just port that to Unity and still be able to do outfit swaps so you can customize the characters and it would show in the cutscenes, I think its called dynamic texture swapping for Unity? Can I do that for pre-rendered animations already rigged and texturized in blender with different material slots for the character's cloth swap?

2024.05.21 19:32 infinitywithborder RaveReport Apocalypse at the MTW in Offenbach (AMBAM, JAZZY, RIAN WOOD)

RaveReport: Apokalypse by SixSixSounds at MTW in Offenbach(Frankfurt am Main)
This was my first techno party in Frankfurt, as I arrived by train I first looked at the station district, I've never seen so many pipes in my life... and I don't really want to be out there at night.
Frankfurt is a big city, a city of extremes - no other German city has as many skyscrapers as here. What else is extreme is the club culture. After Berlin, Frankfurt is the birthplace of techno in Germany, the Dorian Grey, a legend that I am familiar with but which closed its doors for good before I was born.
Arrived in Offenbach, after quite a long journey from our pre-drinking(6beer) we finally arrived in Offenbach. A short walk together with other clubbers separates us from our destination. The MTW, which advertises the finest hard techno, where Rhian Woods, Amabam and my favorite artist Jazzy are playing today, I have long since decided to go to this event and have been able to buy earlybird tickets for 12€, a very fair price for such a good party.
You can also tell that FFM is a city of extremes by the fact that there is not just one club at the MTW location directly on the Main, but two. Robert Johnsen is housed in the same building.
About the club itself: there were 2 floors, a large floor with space for over 300 dancers and a smaller one with just under half the capacity. Both floors were danceable as boilers, there was no barrier that would have prevented you from leaving directly behind your favorite artist.
The ceilings of the main floor are huge, 4-5 meters high, in the middle hangs a huge disco ball with a diameter of over one meter.
The sound system consists of a row of subs directly in front of the DJ, the tweeters hang from the ceiling, what I would like to point out and have not seen that often but think is very good is a decibel display that permanently measures over 100DB and occasionally goes up to 110.
At the bar you can buy earplugs which cost just one € :)
The 2nd floor is also a boiler, where you can dance all around the DJ, the system is a little weaker and the lighting technology leaves a lot to be desired, unlike on the main floor where an LJ flashes the strobes to the thunderous drops blaring from the speakers.
Both clubs are connected by a huge outdoosmoking area where there is plenty of but not enough seating, from here you have a beautiful view of the skyline that rises out of the sky in Frankfurt.
When we enter the club it's 0 o'clock, it's already a bit busy, you have to wait at the cloakroom which costs 2€ until you can hand in your jacket.
First we get a beer, the best value for money is a wheat beer which is served in a glass, you pay €4.5 for a half, which is actually really fair.
Rhian Woods starts playing at one o'clock and he definitely knows what he's doing. He gets the crowd in the perfect mood for the next DJ:
But my favorite act was Jazzy, who played directly afterwards.
Topless with an undercut and taped nipples, she stands behind her desk and heats up the dance-crazed crowd, she gives me the rest. As a first row dancer, I sometimes have the feeling that I'm not getting enough air because the bass is so thumping. It's dirty, a “main character” climbs onto the subs to dance in an elevated position for all to see, restricting the view of Jazzy...
Musically, the techno she played was fast, hard and merciless, there were no breaks or quiet moments in her set, and she got more and more into it. At the end, she played Schranz, which you could even have hooked if I could have.
After Jazzy it got even harder, but my energy dwindled, in the club I only drank water from 2 o'clock, the toilet situation was okay, at least you could fill up your bottle. I even missed Ambam because I left the club shortly before 6 o'clock. Outside the door I even met Jazzy and shyly asked her if I could take a picture with her, with her sweet feminine voice which is the complete opposite of her music, she was also very happy about this fan moment.
In the 6 hours I spent in the MTW, I danced 30,000 steps, which is an average of 2 per second. That speaks for itself and for the evening.
The crowd was nice, I met some cool people and I was recommended to visit the Tanzhaus.
All in all, a very, very nice club visit, despite the 2-hour walk home.
4,5/5

2024.05.21 19:28 Kafadanapa Help me pick how to build, HK-47 & T3-M4 in one character sheet

I'm helping a friend if mine transition from Kotor 1 & 2 to real DnD. (We used sw5e already, but it was rather wonky for our tastes)
The idea is that this character is basically Hk & T3, but messing with the old cannon a bit to participate in the campaign.
To summarize the goals if the build, HK-47: Shoots good, is stealthy, can tank a bit of damage & can translate basically any language.
T3-M4: Can shoot well enough, and is a skill monkey. Speaks in beeps and boops only.
To me this screams Warforged Artificer. Question is, which way should I make this work?
T3 the Battle Smith Can use INT with basicallyany weapon & uses Magic Stone/Homunculus Servant with the Steel Defender for Blaster Fire.
HK the Armorer Uses the Iniltrator's lightning Launchers as its blaster(s) then takes the Homunculus Servant as T3, role playing T3 as the smart one with Channel Magic + Mending. Or even have T3 tell HK how to do the smart people stuff.
I thought about HK as a battle Smith, but that would either leave T3 as the Steel Defender, or we'd need to make a third droid character.
So I ask you all, how would you do this?

2024.05.21 19:26 stumblingHome13 Feelings on Monica

Marking as spoiler just in case.
Given the way they’ve developed Monica in season 6, I hope she has a somewhat brutal takedown when they finally catch her. Not in a bad way, but I hope there’s a build up and a satisfying ‘gotcha’ ending.
I think her character is great. I DESPISE but also respect her because she’s so crafty and ruthless. A worthy villain character. The kind of character where you hold your breath to see what they’ll do next but you also REALLY want to be taken down.
I hope they keep her in play into season 7 but we’ll find out tonight!

2024.05.21 19:25 JoelSnape Could CERN be trying to open a celestial portal with their particle collider? Evidence suggesting this may be the case

While the title might sound ridiculous, this idea has some interesting things pointing towards it as a possibility.
https://chipstero7.wordpress.com/
Quote: (1% of 100%):
CERN, or the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is an international organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. CERN’s primary mission is to explore the fundamental nature of the universe by investigating the basic building blocks of matter and the forces that govern their interactions. This research often involves studying subatomic particles like protons, neutrons, electrons, and various other particles that make up matter. One of the most prominent achievements of CERN is the construction and operation of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator. The LHC is a circular accelerator situated underground, spanning the border between Switzerland and France. It’s used to accelerate particles to extremely high energies and then collide them at incredibly high speeds. These collisions create conditions similar to those just moments after the Big Bang, allowing scientists to study the behaviour of matter in its most fundamental states. CERN was essentially created in order to recreate the conditions of the early universe after the Big Bang as a possible means of testing the Big Bang theory which has dominated physics since the middle of the last century. CERN’s experimental ‘test’ of the Big Bang theory has focused on the search for the elusive Higgs Boson (the “God Particle”) because the Big Bang theorists believe that the universe could not have been created without it. However, anyone who examines the Big Bang theory honestly and in sufficient depth can see that it does not hold water and contains holes in its logic so large that a galactic supercluster could be driven through them. It’s just like CAGW theory, but on a cosmic scale instead of merely a terrestrial one. No experimental ‘tests’ for this are needed and so it’s a wonder how this half-baked nonsense has become the holy cow of science. The experimental ‘tests’ provided by CERN are superfluous and the creation of their particle accelerator was not needed for the stated scientific purpose.
Investigative mythologist William Henry, who is a producer for the popular American TV show Ancient Aliens and author of over 18 books in alternative science, says: “If we take his [Leon Lederman’s] words literally, it suggests that the search for the “God Particle” and the creation of these amazing particle accelerators, such as the one at CERN, is actually a recreation of the Tower of Babel. Well, the Tower of Babel seems to have been humanity’s first attempt to blast open holes in Heaven, to open stargates and worm-holes”. Not many have made the connection, but the Shiva statue at CERN can be connected to the Tower of Babel. This is because Shiva is assumed by some to be the same person as Nimrod, and Nimrod was responsible for building the original Tower of Babel. According to Chris Relitz in his book ‘Antichrist Osiris: The History of the Luciferian Conspiracy’, Shiva and Nimrod are one and the same character. Quote: “By the time the character of Nimrod reached India, it seems he was known as Shiva. The legends of both are too similar to ignore. Both were associated with fire, destruction, wore bull’s horns, had profound phalluses and wore leopard skins. Both had a trident as a weapon, as the devil today is seen with a pitchfork”. This is also corroborated by Erica Nugent in her book ‘Clash of the Kingdoms’, where she says: “Nimrod became Shiva”. Could it be CERN’s goal to recreate the Tower of Babel, which might explain why they have a statue of Shiva (or Nimrod) as their mascot? Author of the book ‘Revising Reality’, Anthony Patch seems to think so, where he says: “Strangely, CERN constitutes a new Tower of Babel in several respects. The goal of CERN seeks to defy God, deify humankind, establish human supremacy, and create a stairway to Heaven”. Patch says that CERN is attempting to access the Saturn Polar Configuration and re-establish a worm-hole or link (he calls it a “plasma conduit”). Another name for this “plasma conduit” would be the Tower of Babel.
Similar to Patch, according to Nick Hinton, author of the book ‘The Saturn Time Cube Simulation’ and ‘The Aquarian Singularity’, CERN is attempting to access the worm-hole that existed during the Saturn Polar Configuration, as he explains in his Twitter article here (if that’s inaccessible to you) his Reddit article here. This worm-hole has been dubbed by some the “Saturn Stargate”. As Hinton says: “The Saturn Stargate is a theoretical celestial alignment (based on the Electric Universe theory) that supposedly causes a portal to open in the sky”. In the TechBubble article ‘How CERN plan to use the Large Hadron Collider to open portals to other dimensions’, researcher Adam Milton-Barker speculates (similar to Hinton) that CERN’s goal is to access the Saturn Polar Configuration, saying: “There are some very interesting theories connected to CERN. One theory is that there is a connection between CERN and Saturn. You may have heard of Jacob’s Ladder which is described in the Book of Genesis. One of CERN’s goals is to recreate Jacob’s Ladder and re-open a portal that is said to have existed between Earth, Venus, Mars, and Saturn, when the planets were in alignment many [thousands of] years ago”. As mentioned above, Talbott associates this alignment with the Tower of Babel. Various researchers have suggested that CERN are attempting to recreate the Tower of Babel, and some have speculated that the Tower of Babel was actually a worm-hole. The Saturn Polar Configuration (which Talbott associates with the Tower of Babel) was also represented by Atlas (see ‘Discourses on an Alien Sky#13’). In Greek mythology, Atlas bared the weight of the heavens on his shoulders. Curiously, CERN refers to the Large Hadron Collider as the “ATLAS EXPERIMENT” which connects them to the Tower of Babel, and may hint at their real objective.

2024.05.21 19:25 Grouchy-Aspect7655 So many questions regarding multiplayer... (@.@;;)

Some background; I have a multiplayer game with my sister (we're about halfway through fall yr1), and neither of us have finished the single-player story (we're both at about the same place - "Shipwreck Confidential")
I'm absolutely loving the multiplayer game mode. The urban development mechanic and needing to build the town up and people gradually moving in has been super cool and rewarding! I love watching the town become more established and recognizable as we progress. However, the more I play, the more questions I have...
First of all, why does the Fandom Wiki page have totally different information for multiplayer? It has old characters listed as younger versions, like Mort and Martle, and even says that characters that aren't even here anymore are still around, like Email and Lou. Was the multiplayer mode set in the past during beta but was changed before release? If so, what was the reason for the change? Multiplayer being a "prequel" to single player sounds awesome! But I understand it was probably a TON of work and difficult to manage/keep everything lore-accurate.
Secondly, why is it so difficult to gain friendship with people and is there an easier way?? I know completing the story in single player builds your friendship up with people - I'm in winter yr 1 in my single player save and I'm buddies with just about everyone at this point. But I don't have a single buddy in multiplayer. And I feel like even doing commissions for people in multiplayer has little effect on friendship 😭
And speaking of relationships and lack of missions - how does dating work in multiplayer? I'm assuming the characters don't have friendship missions, since there aren't any story missions. So what about characters that have reverse confessions in single player; I'm guessing there aren't any reverse confessions in multiplayer? Do we still need to be Friends in order to give someone a heart knot? Anddd if that's the case, can players date the same character? Or will characters already in a relationship with another player become unavailable? And if not... can we marry the same person? 👀 (unhinged, I know, but I just need to know LMAO)
I know this is a ton of information, so if anyone has any answers at all, even if you just have the answer to one question, anything is helpful! Like I said, I really really enjoy multiplayer and can see myself playing this game mode for a while, but it feels so much more grindy when it comes to relationships compared to single player...

2024.05.21 19:18 darksydex3226 An idea to lean into Yone's "Assassin" role

Disclaimer: I don't claim to be an expert or that this build will be any good, or that there aren't better item options, etc. I'm sure others can come up with something more viable. I just thought it was fun to think of Yone in a different way due to recent changes.
Thanks for your time.
Electrocute Yone
According to his character profile on the LoL website, Yone is an Assassin. I was thinking of ways to lean into this role due to the recent changes.
This Yone isn't looking for 3v1s vs the beefy boys, but instead looking to use clever angles, vision, and his dash-heavy tools for successful roams, and wreaking havoc on the back line during intense team fights, similar to Zed. Goes without saying, but I'm thinking with mid lane in mind. Sadly this build is way more team dependent, as it requires them to engage and eat CD timers.
Let's talk about the Electrocute Keystone. It doesn't scale well, but as we know Yone does, so this rune might be the answer to make up for poor early game. It's easy to activate as Yone can confirm a 3 hit combo with little to no effort. Utilizing this might be what he needs to keep his enemy laner on their toes or god forbid snowball a lead.
For the 3 primary runes, I'm looking at Sudden Impact. Yone has a kit full of dashes and blinks, and bushes are a big part of the game plan too. I'm also looking at Taste of Blood, but unsure. Perhaps if your opponent is a beefier mid lane like Galio this might be worth a try, but for the sake of this concept, I'm sticking with SI, but I can't rule out ToB, I think both are worth exploring.
Eyeball collector is obvious.
The third row is also worth exploring, I think Bounty is nice to scale faster, but ultimate hunter seems like a go-to choice, and even relentless hunter might not be awful for roams, sidelaning, and positioning. For now we'll go with Ultimate, but I feel like all 3 could be an option depending on enemy comp and what you're trying to accomplish on a game to game basis.
For the second tree, I am looking at Legend: Alacrity and Coup De Grace. These are consistent choices you'd run with a Yellow Keystone, might as well have them.
For tiny runes, Attack Speed, Adaptive Force, and matchup dependent for the third row, with perhaps the base health being a go-to choice for healthier trading and farming early, but with so much CC in the game, and it being our worst enemy, I think it's tenacity in most cases.
For the first item, I'm not going to break the mold. I think Zerker Greaves are still the prime choice. We need AD in our next item, so a recurve bow item is probably the best bet, sadly. I was looking at Bork, but there's also Kraken Slayer. This can add more burst damage, so I think this is it, but Bork also makes a great case with sustain and a slow effect for combo confirms. I'm on the fence about which one to take, but definitely one of the two. At least there's some build variance, perhaps KS into favorable and Bork otherwise. I can't recommend Wits End due to lack of AD, but that tenacity sure does look nice.
Now we desperately need crit, and a way to E back to our body before being killed, so I'm looking at the Shieldbow. I think, if you are ahead (by some miracle) an IE is the pick, but let's assume this is real life and you're not ahead. Playing around your Shieldbow CD will be crucial, and I wouldn't engage skirmishes/team fights without it unless circumstances are favorable (big CDs down, squishy on opposite side of the map of entire team and pushed past river, etc).
Item 4 is IE for sicko mode burst and you'll be able to assist your team in fighting frontliners after getting squishy kills... if you don't need to run off bloody and beaten. I think times like that'll be few and far between, but with this item you should be able to easily dispatch the backline and run away with a good team engage followed by your jump scare ambush.
For a 5th item, I think the Bloodthirster looks solid. It adds a lot of AD, well needed sustain (especially if you're Borkless), and it's another shield on top of your other shields. However, and hear me out... if you are having trouble recalling E due to CC, take a look at the Mercurial Scimitar. It comes with AD, Lifesteal, MR, and a unique active that ensures you can recast E. I'd say it's a good "training wheels" item if you aren't great at focusing on enemy CDs and dodging abilities.
The final item, the variable slot! I'm not sure how viable GA is because when you're jumping the backline all the Frontline has to do is back pedal from the teamfight and take you out after coming out of stasis, with that being said, if you went BT, Merc Scimitar might be good, and vice versa. I'm also thinking a Collector might not be bad for easier secures, but probably overkill. If the team has heavy healing there's the Mortals Reminder, which comes with a lot of components we like anyway. Lord doms for heavy armor, or a Spirit Visage for heavy AP as well as complementing your lifesteal and shields. If you need armor I think Death Dance makes a case with AD as well as a useful passive that can get you out of a sticky on takedowns. I haven't thought this part out too hard if I'm being honest, I feel like there's a lot of good cases to be made for the variable slot, and I'm not great when it comes to itemizing and synergies.
Clearing vision is paramount for successful ambushes, so be sure to have a pink ward and scanner handy in most scenarios.
Thanks for your time, and let me know if you gave it a try. I play on the phone exclusively now, and thankfully we still have LT, but I'm considering trying this build concept for fun in norms....
And to be prepared for when the inevitable day of reckoning comes.
