Hi all can anyone help? , I have received a letter that a decision made on 25th June 2022 has been overturned. They are saying we have undeclared or notional capital. This is refering to a house sale that my partner completed and was received £31,000 however she owed her family member £20,000 from loans and payments that she covered during the pandemic and this was sent. It is in her nans account as it's her money now and we do not have access to this account. My partner did not realise that she was ment to report the amount of £11,000 that she was left with as it was under £16,000 however universal credit contacted her and an investigation was launched. She provided all information and what she had spent the money on as she currently has around £5,000 left she honestly didn't realise and this was resolved. They were satisfied with this however they are classing the money within her nans account as our capital now. We don't have access to this money, do not know how much is in this account and have never received any money transferred from this account. We are currently being charged with a years worth of universal credit payment and a continued reduced amount because of that money. We don't have the money and it is not ours so why can they change us a reduced amount because they say it's between 6,000 and 16,000 but it's not ours so we would have to get Paid a reduced amount for money that's not ours or we can't ever change and we would not be able to receive our normal amount? I work and we receive universal credit top up and we are only left with a very small amount each month, the only money that has ever went into our bank accounts are from my work and universal credit top up. This is outrageous as we don't have access to the money, it's not ours and we can't ever get any of it. As well as the letter stating we have an overpayment of a year due to this? I need some help as it all seems like everyone's word against eachother and they are the decision makers so they would have to go against their own decisions which is making this seem pointless that I can get help.

Hi there, my partner and I are considering Sanborn County Park as a venue for our wedding next spring/summer 2025. Our ideal date is 06/28/25, but we are concerned that we're risking it'll be too hot for a fully outdoor event at that time of year, knowing it can get pretty hot down in Saratoga.
We've looked at average temps during that time of year, and know the covered pavilion will help somewhat, but maybe not enough if it's a super hot day.
I know this will of course vary on the day, but I'm just curious if anyone on this sub has gone to a wedding in Sanborn County Park around the June/July time of year, and if so, how was the experience from a weather perspective? Too hot? Bearable?

I have been with my current company for 5 months now working in an industrial quality control position. I have not liked this job from the beginning because I was not told the severity of the working conditions, I’m covered in fiberglass everyday but was told I would have “minimal contact” with it, and the schedule is not was I was told during the interview & hiring phase, was told it was rotating 8 hour shifts Mon-Fri but it has been rotating 12 hour shifts Mon-Fri. I started off just working Mon-Thurs, 12 hour days (48 hours/week), but for the past two months I’ve been on Mon-Fri , 12 hour days (60 hours/week). Also, they just hired my old terrible boss from my past job to be my new boss at this job.
I was able to handle these conditions, but when I went into work last night, there were papers posted in various locations throughout the plant informing everyone that we will be on a 24/7, 4 on 2 off, rotating schedule effective at the start of the next week. I have now given up on the prospect of just sucking it up and working here until I find a new job and want to resign at the end of this week, 3 days.
I have a Bachelors in Biology and am not using my degree at this current job, so I am not too concerned with “ruining” my professional background, but I don’t want to burn bridges if a future job contacts them. The paper also informed us that we will be working this Saturday and Memorial Day, Monday, and I already have out of state plans I am not going to back out of.

I don’t feel confident in putting in a 2 weeks notice just to tell them the days I will not be able to work during it. I feel like it might be best to tell them I resign with a 3 day notice.
What do you think? How should I word my resignation letter? Btw, I am working night shift this week and will not be seeing my supervisor during this time.

Things I would tell you this week:
I am sorry I was not able to open up when we worked together like I can today, I see now how important this part is.
I figured out why my sleep paralysis demon is a door with light emitting from the edges, and it’s heart breaking. 💔, and I feel that sadness in my tummy and chest. I didn’t deserve that growing up. Currently though, I am very rarely having night mares.
I had the worse case of cold sweats a couple weeks ago when I restarted my attention med, it was horrible and I was so cold and so wet… and still trying to convince myself at first it was the humidity. After a few minutes I realized I am more sensitive to triggers because I had been off the med for so long. After a few days I was acclimated and doing fine.
Oh man…. This one is little more rough, those stubborn thought patterns. Recently I have been curious about my partners sexual interest because I saw a person he was following and they are a boudoir model. In his line of work this isn’t uncommon, they can be entertainers at events and clients, so I tried really hard to deal with it on my own and let it go. When we were first dating he was very elusive about what he used for aides when he was alone…. And my head took over and determined this was similar to past experiences so of course I needed pst behaviors? I had to face it last night.
So I asked ‘hey what do you like to look at’ body language and tone matter here, I was gentle and we had already covered the understanding that tools are used and ok. To which he was evasive again… took me right back to my past relationship. I was quick to tell him I could tell he was being dishonest and I had asked at the beginning of our relationship and he refused to answer and then say how it matters… it truly does matter in some cases because, for me, my ex partner was only attracted to blonde females… for 15 years everything he looked at and even the women who came in to my work asking if he treated me well were blonde, leaving me to never meet his standards.
Well when I got angry my partner got quiet and so I took that as my green light I was interpreting the situation right. I started the conversation… turned it into an argument… because I went directly back to thinking I was being lied to… I was the only one participating in this conversation/argument… and as I was talking I realized if he was capable of telling me he uses tools then I need to give him space to open up…. I let him know I just realized you were being honest and then asked again what his preference was. Took a minute but he shared and it actually made me feel better ❤️‍🩹. He likes a more natural body and that I can provide.
I did make note that he was being elusive but he is not my past partner and most people are not an open book like I am… so it was probably really intimidating to talk about.
For a second I felt extremely bad for falsely accusing him or over exaggerating my concerns… just for a second though because I gave him time to explain why he was quiet from upsetting him and acknowledged that’s ok, which means what I am worried about it ok too..
Interestingly… I had morning mental compulsions which I haven’t had for a long time now… and it was a phrase from a letter I read yesterday about ‘tossing salad’…. I fucking hate OCD… and the letter was like a train wreck, I really didn’t want to read it but I couldn’t stop reading it because the writer was so enthusiastic about this salad they wanted… I was able to breath through most of it… and redirect my thinking to be mindful while working… but oh god did in interrupt my morning.
Oh and now I don’t have to feel bad for reading erotic stories! Win for me because I do enjoy them and they are the best with no guilt.
Thoughts I have been thinking: I wonder if Dairy Queen’s ice cream still has a lower melting point than Freddy’s. It’s been a few years now since I noticed and you know they pay people for that kind of research 🧐.
Still packing up all my intimate and strong attachment feelings and placing them on people who do not exist in my life but I will get there….
And it appears I working back to healthy levels of dissociation so I can do more… now that I am closing the gate to full emotional awareness, I realize this part of my disability is really handy. I am not necessarily closing the gate but I am allowing the emotional to pass quicker without being concerned if I am actually processing them.
I think I am ready to add exercise :)

Hello everyone! I am a female disabled veteran. I was illegally evicted (from my townhome I had lived in for 7 years) during Covid and despite having section-8 I cannot find a place to live. The eviction results in an automatic denial of every application I have submitted. I am looking for a private landlord who will rent to me.
For some background information (I will try to make brevity my strong suit): I was in the USAF for 8 years. My husband and I went in together on the join-spouse program. We had our first child 2 years later, then the military did away with the program because there were so many married couples enlisted. We got out, had our 2nd child 8 months later and soon afterwards, bought a house. I obtained my bachelor's degree in nursing, then worked as an RN for 28 years. We sadly were divorced after 21 years, and I have been my sole means of support since that time. I moved into my townhome in 2015 and had no issues until 2021. I severely injured my back moving a very large (298lb) patient off of the OR table, following an emergency C-section. I struggled with back issues the rest of my career. In February of 2020 I was laid off from my job as a corrections nurse due to Covid. I was on unemployment but still paid my rent on time every month. In June of 2020 I allowed my oldest daughter to move in with the agreement that she would pay 1/2 of the rent and utilities. This turned out to be a disastrous decision. She had struggled with SA since she was 15, but swore to me she was clean. She was addicted to heroin, couldn't keep a job, created drama constantly, and never paid a penny's worth of her half. She was often rageful, as was her son who visited frequently. They did damage to the townhome in the form of her bedroom door, which my grandson made 2 large dents in with his fists, and the bottom of the staircase, which my grandson pulled the bottom of the handrail away from the wall. Those 2 items were the only damage.
In March 2021 I applied, on the 1st day it became available, to Biden's federal assistance program for tenants in danger of becoming homeless. I notified the property manager, and requested that he send in the required paperwork from management to complete the application. He came over to talk with us and he understood the program. I had applied for SSDI in March of 2020 due to back issues, major depressive disorder, and emphysema. I could no longer perform my duties well as a nurse. Everything was fine until June 2021 when he was replaced. The new property manager was a schoolteacher who was a longtime friend of the owner. She admittedly knew nothing about property management. I first met her on the day I had just been discharged from the VA hospital. I had been in the hospital for 12 days, so I came home and was resting in bed when my daughter came to get me saying, "The owner and a new lady are at the door screaming." They were indeed screaming at me because May's rent had not been paid. I tried to explain the program and the fact that the previous manager knew about it. The law protected residents who had applied from being evicted. I requested an appointment for the following day so we could talk civilly. At this point, TN had only released 6% of the millions of funds available. Finally, my funds were released in September. All arrears were paid, and 3 months into the future were paid, with the option of 3 more months being paid if the tenant was still struggling to pay. When the complex accepted the funds, they signed a federal agreement which stated they could not attempt an eviction based on non-payment of rent, could not create a new lease, and could not harass the tenants (my daughter was on the lease, too). They broke all of these conditions, starting with asking ONLY ME to sign a new lease 3 weeks after receiving the funds. They were requesting me to pay pet deposits for my 3 pets, a dog and 2 cats, in an amount $100 over the normal amount, then get rid of the pets immediately. The pets had not done any damage. The new lease increased the rent by $300. They had already been paid for the rent with the federal funds. Immediately following this "new lease" they sent a letter to both of us, saying that the new rent had not been paid on time and we were being evicted. They would not allow maintenance to come repair things. I had requested 6x that they repair both upstairs toilets, which were leaking at the base, to the point that their were stains and leaking on the living room ceiling! They filed for eviction in January 2022. They only named me, knowing that all of the rent payments were done by me. The case was dismissed because they had filed before it was legal, due to the agreement. I asked the judge if it would be necessary for me to appear in court on the next date if I moved out prior to the date, but he said, "That would be a moot point. You cannot be evicted if you have already moved out." We DID move out before the next court date, but their management went to court ANYWAY, saying we were still there and an eviction was granted!! I looked into filing an appeal, but the cost to file was $695, and I didn't have the money to appeal.
Luckily, a place opened in a VA sponsored home for homeless women. My time is up here and I have applied to a multitude of properties but my applications are always denied, based on the eviction. I am working with a lawyer who has written a letter on my behalf, as well as a letter of recommendation from the program director. Still, I have had flat denials from every property.
The assistance I am requesting is names of property owners who will work with me. If any of you kind Redditors know someone, or ARE someone who would work with me, please let me know. I am out of time at the VA home and I have nowhere to go. I never pictured myself at 64 years old being homeless. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help. I have SSDI, as well as VA compensation, so my income is secure and reliable. I am desperate for a safe place to live.

Soooo I have a I9 14900KF that is undervolted, PL to 253 both ways, set at 320A... and these are the temps ON IDLE. I see my average is good, but are those spikes normal, or fine? They never hold a full second... like .5 of a second. It goes so fast 99% of the time you can no notice it.

4090 FE I9 14900KF MSI Ace Max z790 32gb ddr5 6000mhz ram Liquid Freezer III 420MM Aio
I used the butter toast method for thermal paste, I know for 100% fact all plastic covers are off, I mean I get the liquid freezer has some mounting issues... but is that why it does that? Just want to see if I need to RMA, or return since i am within my return window still. The AIO does indeed work, not only from the average temps, but the tubs are moving water as well. My max cinebench temp was 86C after a 30Min stability test.
Any help is greatly appreciated, as this has been my bane for the last 3 weeks or so! <3 <3

Main question: I've been working for a year and a half for a city in texas that has enforced only practical electrical safety measures. now they are starting to enforce NFPA 70E and while I know I should remove all metal as part of being electrically safe in preparation to do work I have a stainless steel bracelet that lives on my left wrist that is designed not to come off ever without ruining the thing. there is no clasp, it's just loose enough to get two fingers under, will break away if pulled, and is meant to serve the same function as a semicolon tattoo. (those that know know but I am intensely phobic of needles so a tattoo was out of the question) I'm going through the book to see if there is any way I can get away with keeping this bracelet on at all times but I'm an apprentice electrician. If anyone knows where I should be looking for an acceptable alternate way of making it safe I would really appreciate any help towards that goal.
Ps new guy rant: They are making an emphatic point of telling us that these rules are not the responsibility of the employer or management but the employee who is solely responsible for their own safety but they are also saying I don't have a choice in weather or not to follow them to the letter. (ex: can't keep the bracelet even though I am aware of and accept the responsibility for the risk it adds. Must wear cat II-iv gear for routine preventative maintenance all day in direct Texas sunlight even at peak temps even if it increases the risk of heat stress more than it reduces other risks) sounds to me like they are just setting up (me) the worker to take all negative consequences for incidents while they add cumbersome paperwork and gear then crack the whip and yell mush. I'd really like to look at it from another point of view if one of you experienced folk can explain like I'm 5 and help me see it....

I am ideally looking for long-time work, but I can work as a freelancer as well. I have worked with 3D art for 5 years now. I can work comfortably in Blender, and Substance 3D Painter. I have worked with Unreal Engine in the past. I have studied game Art for two years, as well as interned at two different studios. During my education I have worked on three different game projects, as well as three personal projects that were portfolio-based. My workflow is highpoly to lowpoly. I prefer to sculpt out my details and work them into normal maps, and AO maps for added effect. However, I am also able to work with a more low-poly workflow if required. Both props and creature models are an hourly payment. I charge €20/hr. Payment is done through a paypal invoice, you will not recieve the asset until the invoice has been paid.

I'm just trying to get possibly another perspective on this situation. I don't want to call my doctor yet to discuss it unless I know it could be a serious problem.
I'm supposed to be 6 months on T by now. In reality I've only been ON T for 5 because a month ago my formula got back ordered at quite literally every pharmacy in my city(I called almost all of the ones google would show me to ask). After like a week of back and forth with pharmacies and with my doctor, I decided my best option would just be to go in and get switched to a different formula. After getting canceled on the first time, I went back about a week ago and got switched. So, after a month of being off T I finally got my refill 2 days ago and gave myself my shot in my right thigh.
Here's where the concerns come from: my thigh is now noticeably swollen on the side where I did the shot, and extremely tender to the touch. I'm not sure exactly what I did wrong. (i do .25 subq once/wk) I was having trouble holding the fat on my thigh when I did it (it's hot as tits where i live rn and my everything was covered in a thin layer of sweat). But I didn't think it was that bad, it still looked like I was holding enough and I managed to do the whole injection and keep my grip. Idk, I've had a nurse explain to me twice now how to do the shots and I swear on my soul I think I'm doing it exactly how it was shown to me every time I have a problem like this.
About 3 months in I actually already switched formulas. I started on cypionate, but switched to enanthate after discussing with my provider that I was having issues with redness and itchiness at injection sites. I explained to her how I had been doing the injections and I had just been doing them too high up on my thigh, but she decided to switch me anyone as a precaution. I've now just switched back from enanthate(out of stock everywhere) to cypionate(the injection i just gave myself the other day).
I genuinely don't know what I'm doing wrong at this point and I don't think I can mentally handle even one more week of having to be off my T while I jump through 89 hoops just to get treatment that works for me.
Idk it can also just be really discouraging. I have yet to have the process of my getting my T refilled go smoothly. There's always some kind of issue. I was euphoric for so long over the major changes I was seeing and that kind of just got stomped all over by the system intentionally designed to make this as hard as possible. Sometimes I feel like giving up, but I don't really have a choice. I'm sure other trans people can relate. I have to get this treatment or it will mean very bad consequences for my mental state, if you catch my meaning. Giving up just because they want to make it as difficult as possible isn't an option.
But anyways, I'm just wondering if anybody might have some advice that might help me going forward with my shots. And if I should be worried about the current swelling and soreness.

I recently graduated OCS and I have been bombarded myself in real life over what to expect with OCS. For context I went from basic training straight to OCS, and even graduated with honors. From the time of writing this post, it has officially been a month since I graduated. So here is a list of common questions I get and I hope I can settle some anxiety for all of you future 2nd LTs.
Warning: The cadre at OCS do read these reddit posts, so I won't be able to post answers to tests or events.

1. I haven't received a welcome letter, or a packing list. Where can I find it?
   • Fort Moore Officer Candidate School (army.mil) I would download and print the packing list and the ISAP. The ISAP acts more or less like a syllabus from college. It will give a rough understanding of the rules, regulations, and requirements for you to pass.
2. Is everything on the packing list required?
   • Yes. Try your best to follow the packing list to the letter. It is almost entirely dependent on the cadre and of course weather does play a part in their decision making. Some things you'll find you didn't really need or use throughout your cycle. For example, my cycle didn't use 550 Cord almost at all, but I used it to build a hooch, and secure sensitive items.
3. What if I don't have of the required equipment on the packing list?
   • When it comes to military equipment, try your best and bring what you can. I was never issued an IFAK before OCS or after. The cadre understand they have some coming from basic and those in-service. So if you have it, bring it. If not, bring it up to your cadre and they'll schedule time to get it issued to you.
4. Anything not on the packing list you recommend?
   • I would recommend the following: hand soap, bathroom spray, travel vacuum, wet-wipes, clipboard with compartment, pillow, very bright headlamp, multitool, and laminator. Hand soap because for some reason OCS had a hard time procuring it. Travel vacuum because you'll likely have 2 or 3 vacuums available to your platoon and having your own saves time. Wet-wipes to dust everything down. Clipboard with compartment for Land Nav as you'll be running with maps, marker, protractor, and your points so its best to have something safe and secure. Laminator for your papers because its Georgia and your papers can get wet. The pillows at OCS have this weird plastic cover on so if you want a better night sleep, get a better pillow. The headlamp is just in case, some classes inform the lumen limit while others don't, Land Nav is DARK so if you can find a lighthouse out there, do it. The multitool is just useful to have especially if you are out in the field.
5. Where can I find somethings on the packing list I am missing?
   • Luckily there is a company called Commandos who helped us out the entire time. They have an OCS purchasing list you can take advantage of. They even deliver that weekend at the footprint.

   • You can bring a personal laptop primarily for recreational use after the duty hours. OCS will provide you with a government laptop that you'll need to use your CAC to access. Tablets and iPads are not considered laptops and will be confiscated like a phone. If the majority of your class as issues with the laptops, then the cadre may allow the use of your personal laptops.
7. What is your day-to-day look like?
   • Mostly on a non-physical or FTX event coming up you'll follow the following schedule: 0500 - wake up. First formation is at 0600, then you conduct PT until breakfast. After breakfast you will head to the classroom and stay there until lunch, return and stay there until dinner. After dinner, it will be the end of the duty hours and you'll roughly have 2 hours for personal time.
8. What are the most important categories/test to focus on?
   • Treat everything important. Every test you do not pass can put you at risk of being recycled, and it is up to you to catch up. For example while everyone is studying for tactics, you'll be studying tactics and history if you failed history. So save yourself the hassle and take every test seriously. The big 3 recycle event have been historically, Army History (70% to pass), Land Nav (4 points or more to pass (day and night)), and the 4-mile run (need to run in under 36 minutes regardless of gender).
9. How many retests or chances do you get?
   • You get 2 tries at everything before recycle. You get 2 tries again at the same test then you can be dismissed. For example: You are part of Alpha company. You failed history twice. You get recycled into Bravo company. You failed history twice again. You can be dismissed.
   • If you happen to pass history but fail Land Nav twice, then you'll be recycled into Charlie. If you fail Land Nav twice then you can be dismissed.
10. What is a recycle? What does it look like in OCS? Can you get dismissed?
    • A recycle is when you failed something twice and you get "recycled" into the next class. A recycle can occur for other reasons such as illness or injury. You can also be recycled for improper behavior or being "peered out". Every class starts up in a like a month (I heard they are changing that for even further out). So even though the cycle takes about 12 weeks to complete, if you get recycled you can expect more like 16 weeks or more. We had someone at OCS you has been with it for a year. You get recycled for repeat offenses, or do something majorly bad such as breaking the law, then you can be dismissed.
11. What is being peered out mean?
    • Throughout the cycle you are put into a platoon and then a squad. Your squadmates eventually all sit down and fill out a form to give the cadre who is the weakest link in the squad. Usually squads kick out the person they do not like. We had to kick out one person because they didn't mesh well within the squad and wasn't very kind. He would then get replaced with someone else who got peered out. Luckily after that one person got kicked out, the squad improved and we tried our hardest to keep it together. We still needed to peer someone out, but we kept tabs with them and invited them to a lot of our squad functions nonetheless as my squads grew to love and respect each other as a family.
    • If you do get peered out, unfortunately you get a spot report, moved to a different squad, and are at risk of being recycled if peered out again. Stay humble and help out whenever you can. I got the most respect from my squadmates as I stayed up late with them to help them with their STX lanes.
12. What is personal time like?
    • You essentially use personal time to workout if the PT wasn't enough, clean yourself, and prepare for bed. Yes if you have time, you can contact family and friends (when you get your phones), and if you have the time, play games. I don't recommend playing games as it distracts you from the mission of graduating.
13. What are the different phases like?
    • You are separated into 3 phases. Black, Blue, and White. You immediately enter black phase upon arrival with a traditional called "Gold to Black". Which is more or less a physical smoking session. During Black you are expected to run everywhere, not be able to drink coffee, have your phone confiscated (and given back on Sunday), and have less personnel time. Blue you get the ability to drink coffee again, and you have your phones returned and used only during personal time. During blue you get the ability to visit and explore the base (Fort Moore) and shop around. During white phase you get the ability to explore off-base (Columbus) and you get to wear civilian clothes. White phase if you leave off-post, you need to be in uniform, and on-base you can be in civilians.
14. Can you use your personal vehicle?
    • Yes, but you can only drive it during White Phase
15. How can I keep in contact with my family during black phase?
    • I recommend that you download WhatsApp or some other social media on your laptop and have your family members on it.
16. Can I visit the gym on base?
    • Yes during blue phase you can visit the gym. Rule regulates that you leave the footprint in uniform and change into appropriate PT uniform once at the gym and conducting PT.
17. What is the DFAC like?
    • The DFAC is better than basic training and offers snacks like cookies, granola bars, ice cream, and soda. They have a salad bar and the usual cycle of foods. They do have a "short-order" line which serves fries, burgers, hot dogs, etc. To stay in physical shape, I recommend eating your fruits and a side salad every meal. Drink juice, Gatorade, or water only. I only drank soda and the burger after an intense physical requirement like a long-run or a ruck march to regain my glucose and caloric levels.
18. Does Amazon deliver there?
    • Yes you can have other things delivered to the footprint. However, the Cadre are going to inspect it for food and other contraband. Just ask the cadre for the delivery address. It may take like 2 weeks for them to deliver it.
19. Any final advice?
    • Be helpful and noticeable amongst your squad but try not to bring attention to yourself from the cadre. Take everything seriously and give yourself proper rest and proper nutrition. OCS is not hard, but it can be if you let it get to you. OCS is designed to test your competency, commitment, and character. I luckily had an amazing squad, and I had a blast with them.

Hello,
I’ve been applying for different apartments in my area (CA). I have high savings, and plan to work during school starting in the Fall for a specific internship. I also have a temp job during the summer coming up.
I grew up in the system so I don’t really have people who’d want to be co-signers like parents. I do have great references though. My credit score is above 750. I’ve been staying in after-care housing apartments, and they are my “landlords”, and have said they are willing to be a refernce due to me being a good tenant in their program. I didn’t have to pay rent which is why I have high savings.
I also recently got approved for a section 8 voucher, which covers 95% of the rent. I’m being very vague on that part so I don’t give away too much of my identity. But as a student I’d only have to pay $50 a month for rent with this voucher.
Apartments see the fact I don’t have a job and they basically tell me to take a hike, even section 8 housing with open availability. I thought I was gonna be approved for one but they rescinded last minute saying they denied me for that reason. I even got laughed at by one lady when I said I didn’t currently have a job..
I was told maybe paying a year’s worth up front? I haven’t brought it up because it felt shady. I can pay that no problem. Hell, with the voucher I can pay several years ahead of time lol. But landlords don’t see too thrilled even when they see the savings I have.
