2024.05.21 11:39 ConflictOk9748 How do I study??

Hello everyone,
I just started my 11th-grade coaching on the 17th of this month, and today was my 3rd day. Before entering 11th grade, I was repeatedly informed by my family and various Reddit posts that 11th grade is much harder than 10th and that one needs to study for at least 4-5 hours daily to survive it. However, I’ve found it difficult to even study for more than 3 hours. Part of the issue seems to be a lack of material to study.
After coming home, I usually revise what was taught in coaching, complete my homework, and then I’m done. For instance, today I finished everything in about 2 hours. To avoid feeling guilty, I watched some Physics Wallah lectures on the current topic and even studied a bit ahead of the coaching schedule.
My question for all of you is: How much should I study in 11th grade? How and what should I study to ensure I don’t mess up my 11th grade? Also, I’d prefer not to exceed the 5-hour mark daily, as that feels too overwhelming.
Thank you!
(Forgot to mention that I was preparing for jee)

2024.05.21 11:27 ThrowRA51000 GF (19F) looks and is absolutely amazing but I’m (20M) afraid that we‘re breaking apart - what to do?

Hello! So, I’ll cut it short: I‘m afraid me and gf aren’t developing as hoped… she graduated high school with mediocre grades, but I didn’t care cause I figured she just wanted to work… she’s been unemployed for like a year now since she stopped high school. She‘s also pretty rude to my family, doesn’t talk to them and doesn’t have any friends anymore. She just kinda watches YT/Pinterest all day rn
I‘m in med school, we‘re doing long distance rn and idk needless to say - we‘re not doing very well. I know that the smart thing to do, would be to break up. But! I remember what it used to be like, it was amazing. She‘s amazing in every way when she‘s with me. She just doesn’t do anything else. That’s been the number #1 pro/con respectively.
One of the other things however that has pulled me back the most (and I know it’s so shallow but idk) is that she is absolutely AMAZINGLY beautiful. Like she looks as if though god had made someone for me. She hits every single thing right. Even the fact that I have like a thing for piercings in some places and she has got each and every single one. I know it’s messed up but I can’t be attracted to a person over time if they don’t have certain qualities to them (for example the piercings - I know I’m a bit fd but like sorry I’ve loved piercings since I was like 14 it’s not gonna change lol) and I don’t think I’ll ever find a girl with that stuff again, if we were to break up…
TL:DR cause this was longer than expected: I‘m very attracted to my gf but it would be smarter to break up… I just don’t know if I can.

2024.05.21 11:17 Upstairs-Throat8385 My last fling messaged me ulit for no reason

Long Post!!
I (F25) met this guy (M32) on a dating app. He’s cute and ganda ng katawan kaya napaswipe right ako. I actually wasn’t expecting anything to happen because of our age gap. (7 years)
The first time I met him in person, very disappointed ako kasi I made an effort para mag paganda and all tapos he showed up wearing shorts and crocs. 😭 So, I said to myself na lang na okay lang, I enjoyed the free drinks and food naman tsaka first time ko ulit yun to go out on a date. Ayun, akala ko yun na yon. Kaso lang after a few days, he messaged me and asked me if pwede daw ba niya ako puntahan sa place ko mag dadala lang daw siya ng coffee. I said yes naman pero sa labas lang kami. Syempre, taong bahay lang ganap ko kasi ineexpect ko ganun lang ulit getup niya. BOY I WAS WRONG. New haircut, may suot na perfume, nakapants na this time, pero nakacrocs pa rin, at dala ang big bike. Ang pogi shet pero syempre act normal and kalmado lang ako. We talked for hours. Nakatayo lang sa tapat ng 711. Pasikat na yung araw nagkkwentuhan pa rin kami. Very wholesome yung naramdaman kong vibes between us that night kaya I gave it another shot. No expectations pa din syempre.
Walang palya to for 2 months. Kilala na ako ng kapatid niya as “bagong ate”, kilala siya ng mom ko and most of my friends, ako naman wala pang namemeet na friends niya kasi ayokong sumama sa mga ganung invites niya, nahihiya ako kasi ang layo nga ng age gap and hindi pa rin naman ako sure sa feelings ko towards him. May times pa na kahit busy ako with my stuff pupuntahan ako para lang sabayan ako mag dinner after kong gumawa.
Pero kasi I can sense the bullshit behind sa explanations niya so I acted casual na lang towards him. Hanggang sa tinamad na lang ako kasi, medyo nafefeel ko na yung pagkacheap na im always available na lang every time mag memessage siya. So, I stopped replying sa mga paramdam niya this was around January this year.
Nagka-moment of weakness lang ako last March. I went out drinking with friends. Sabi nga nila diba, drunk words are sober thoughts. Syempre nag imy ako sa kanya. yuck 😭😭😭 He replied naman kinamusta ako asked me if I was okay. THANKFULLY I was too drunk na to reply baka nauwi pa sa booty call yon if ever 🙊 Kidding aside. Pagkagising ko, I said sorry lang and that I was drunk and nvm what I said ganong eme. After that, wala na ulit.
Eto naman kanina lang he messaged me “???” like wtf? so sinendan ko lang rin siya ng “?” tapos sabi lang “Just checking in on you” 😤
Gusto ko lang ‘to ilabas dito kasi I genuinely have no idea if I was (or still am)heartbroken or bruised lang yung ego ko. Kasi I never cried naman because of this, may times lang talaga na hindi ko maiwasang maisip siya or what could’ve happen if naging okay nga kami.

Joshua Hanely of TikTok claims he retired as an E12 (See video) Well, his speech indicates he is an American and unfortunately for him, there is no such thing as an E12. Even when considering that there are multiple grades of E9 in the various branches of US Military Service, one cannot possibly count to 12. At most there are three grades of E9, which would produce 11 ranks. Unless he is counting the two types of E4 in the US Army as in the Specialist and the Corporal. So he may have counted the number of Enlisted US Army ranks and got 12 and thus claimed to be an E12. Counting another way, he could have gotten E13, but regardless, E9 is the highest enlisted pay grade.
Claiming to be an E12 in the US Army would make him the Sargent Major of the Army using the funny math above, and he would no doubt have many webpages mentioning him in this role. A simple Google search reveals that Joshua Hanely is unknown beyond his stolen valor statement.
If he was simply trying to be a TikTok troll, he did it in one of the most dishonorable ways possible.

Difference in value between 2nd and 3rd print Star Wars #1?
From what I’ve gathered the copy that says “Reprint” in the top left is the 2nd print, while this book is the third print. Can someone explain to me if/why there’s a difference in value between them? I can’t find any explanation online but GoCollect/CPG seem to show the 3rd one as being worth more for some reason. Bonus points if you can tell me how much you think this should be worth :) thanks !

2024.05.21 10:50 Apprehensive_Mood_85 THANK YOU BISHOP!!!!

A few weeks ago, I felt dejected upon seeing my results for the USTET and ACET, both were my dream schools but unfortunately I didn't get in. I hoarded the past posts of people in Tomasino and the ateneo sub especially in the megathread in hopes I may be able to get myself reconsidered, from getting details such as the formatting to understanding the purpose, contents, and such of the reconsideration letter which I was able to make at least a week after the results were released. There was this one particular comment though which set me interacting with people of prestige and that involved the letter of endorsement.
The comment detailed how his friend was able to get into UST after talking to a Dominican Priest whom she was able to show her masterful works. That drove me into actively looking for priests to talk to myself. I didn't know anyone, nor did I know the process, but I was ready, I was ready to be interviewed, ready to show my works, ready to endorse myself to whomever was willing to help me in my endeavor, which also involved helping my friend attain a letter of his own. I asked my church friends if they knew any, and even joined religious groups on facebook to see if I could get into contact with anyone and after a while in passivity, a church leader friend messaged me. Apparently, he knew a Dominican friar and so, I pleaded with him which I really didn't have to given we were close and he was really willing to help. After detailing my situation, he set us up with the said friar in the Sto. Domingo church.
Fast forward to a week later, we were able to have an insightful conversation with him, but unfortunately he said he couldn't help our situation but recommended me to go into UST to talk to the priests there, or as an alternative which my aforementioned church leader friend and a priest from the church endorsed, approach the bishop of Cubao himself. I do admit that the meeting demoralized me, and I went home rather broken but a good sleep, short conversation with a friend whom I was also helping get into UST, and Miki Matsubara's Mayonaka No Door later, and I'm back in the game. I wrote a letter to the bishop for the both of us and asked his hand in endorsing us, especially that we were alumni in the school that housed the seat of the Diocese with weights to carry. Honestly, I wasn't really able to pour my heart and soul into that letter, unlike my reconsideration letters for ADMU and UST which I worked on in a computer shop for better focus, and I thought it wasn't written that well, but I gave what I could give, and was ready to face the uphill process I thought it was going to face. It helped that we had a late mother's day dinner to seal the day too.
A day later, I went to the obispado and gave the letter to the guard with whom I conversed with again after an errand in school regarding my DLSU grades form. He told me to come back yesterday and I did, unfortunately, still nothing but this time the different person on the desk asked me for my contact details. I was optimistic, and was willing to wait even more, but I didn't think it would be as quick as one day later. This morning, at least hours after I had once again checked my emails for updates, they called and told me to return. I was excited, and rushed to leave. "This is it" I thought. "We finally got an endorsement letter!" The guard enthusiastically gave them to me and the sister, whom I assume was Bishop's secretary, asked me to check if it was alright to avoid any issues and after reading the short but meaningful contents, I was happy.
My happiness was fanned further by seeing the K-Wave canned coke finally arrive in the Philippines after having it in Osaka.
Although right now time and slots are our enemy, being endorsed by the bishop is a good thing, a relatively big milestone, and a good impression I suppose to both universities run by Catholic orders. I didn't get any letters from either the Jesuits or Dominicans, but I am happy I got to meet with the latter in the quest for España and Katipunan. Thank you so much bishop!!!!
I suppose this deserves a little celebration 'no?

2024.05.21 10:28 MLial Feeling off. It would be nice to meet some people who like to voice call.

It's been a long time since I had anyone I was close with. Lost a lot of people I loved and maybe even that feeling altogether too. Recently I've been pouring all my time into writing in the hopes that it will carry legacy and all that. Never planned or wanted to be a writer but I've been doing it for ten years now so there's that I suppose. Got pretty good I might add. Wrote a few poems recently (Not normally my thing). I'm just feeling pretty weird recently. Not my normal self maybe. Feel like I deserve something more than this but not sure. Feel pretty isolated. It would be nice to meet some people and I prefer voice calls rather than messaging, it's just better.
Besides being a writer, I'm a pretty creative person. I enjoy art, music of many different kinds, history, dreams. I also like to collect stuff, mainly historical weapons and some figures from when I was young. I'm very open as well. I also don't mind talking with people who don't share my interests. I find that often I get along with people that are my opposite anyway. Really I just want to connect with someone again, something even slightly meaningful would be good for my life I think, cause right now the only thing I love is me. And that's good. But it's hard to explain. As I said I feel weird. If you read this far you are something special so I appreciate that. If you would like to call please message with a bit about yourself like I did. I will most likely ignore short/low effort messages or if it seems like you just read the title and not the actual post because a lot of people seem to do that. Thanks!

2024.05.21 10:26 Healthy-Emotion8945 The "Six Things We Learned...Swans Edition, HERE IT IS!"

The "Six Things We Learned...Swans Edition, HERE IT IS!"
1) Mature Swans fixing problems within the quarter Swans started in dicey circumstances with Carlton kicking the first 4 goals within 14 minutes of the game and being dominated at the centre bounce. Previous editions of the Swans could have easily been blown apart or slowly reduce their deficits quarter by quarter leading to a slog fest of a game. But this year is different and the Swans are a much more mature and confident team as a whole. Not only did the Swans stabilised the damage which kick started their turn over game, the midfield group began their own dominance in stoppages leading to the Swans scoring 3 goals within a space of 4 minutes. Whilst the Swans were still trailing at the end of the first quarter, the momentum had truly switched to Sydney showing how far the team has progressed.
2) Swans set the example in the 3rd (Premiership) quarter Much has been spoken about the Swans' ball use, speed and turnover game; however, it was their stoppage work in the 3rd quarter that completely blew Carlton apart. Sydney finished with an impressive 51 - 13 points from stoppages with their centre bounces produces 31 points compared to Carlton's 4. The Swans had a 10 minute patch where they completely blitzed through the Carlton midfield which included a classy finish by Wicksy and most importantly (DIRECTED TO THE SHAMEFUL VIC MEDIA REPORTING) he got his high fives; beautiful.
3) Jordan clamps and smashes, Cunningham gets the last laugh When [Sam Walsh]() kicked a goal in the first quarter he made sure Cunningham (who was playing on him at the time) knew about it. Sadly for Walsh, James Jordan ensured that was his only highlight of the night, curtailing his influence whilst Jordan still played an important role in in the Swans attack and kicking a goal himself. That's three weeks in a row where Jordan has successfully negated the opposition player and blanked them out of the game; Jordan's versatility to play multiple positions makes him an A grade tagger and the best distributors or drivers of offence for any team in the competition better be aware of James Jordan! Also, Cunningham admitted in a post game interview he got lost in transition from defence and found himself up forward kicking a goal and that's just so beautiful to hear.
4) Swans midfield a class above The Swans midfield is well known for its ability to score goals, their speed through general play, foot skills and frantic pressure; however, on Friday night, the midfield evolved once again through their contested work through stoppages with timely blocks for team mates which opened up space for others to charge through. By the mid point of the third quarter the Swans were not only dominating the Carlton line up, they were toying with them (i.e. Warner's run through the corridor taking cheeking peaks behind him and smiling - he had his own Lewis Jetta moment). Special mention for Rowbottom's efforts with 16 tackles overall and breaking through a congestion of Carlton players to kick a goal.
5) The rising stock value of Hayward and Florent Both players were recruited in the 2016 draft and both are having an outstanding start to the season with Hayward re-discovering his goal kicking form (he is currently 20.7 for the year) and Florent showing incredible composure to dance his way through congestion from defence and providing plenty of run and carry during an attacking play. A special mention also for Florent - he is actually the most impactful interceptor amongst the Swans (better than Blakey) all according to champion data.
6) The Swans are the number 1 attack and defence team in the competition When certain groups doubt Sydney's credentials for the premiership, its always about the forward line or the defence or basically anything they can use to say why we won't win...Well, the Swans have scored the most and have conceded the least points of any teams and these results have continued to improve after each round. Simple as that, nothing else to add - Why wouldn't you back the best team in the comp to win?

  2. Unique Design: With custom cabinets, you have the freedom to choose materials, finishes, hardware, and styles that match your vision. Whether you want a modern, sleek look or a more traditional, rustic feel, custom cabinets can be crafted to reflect your personal taste.
  3. Quality Craftsmanship: Custom cabinets are typically made with higher-quality materials and superior craftsmanship. This ensures durability and longevity, making them a worthwhile investment for your home.
  4. Added Home Value: Custom cabinets can significantly increase the value of your home. Potential buyers often appreciate the attention to detail and quality that custom cabinetry represents.

CONS:

  1. Higher Cost: Custom cabinets are generally more expensive than modular ones due to their bespoke design and higher-quality materials. This can be a significant consideration if you are on a tight budget.
  2. Longer Lead Time: Since custom cabinets are made to order, the process from design to installation can take several weeks or even months. This is something to keep in mind if you need a quick renovation.

MODULAR BATHROOM CABINETS

Modular bathroom cabinets, also known as stock or semi-custom cabinets, are pre-made units available in standard sizes, configurations, and finishes. These cabinets are manufactured in bulk, which makes them more affordable and readily available compared to custom options. Modular cabinets come in a variety of materials, finishes, and designs, providing a range of choices to suit different tastes and budgets.

PROS:

  1. Cost-Effective: Modular cabinets are mass-produced, which makes them less expensive than custom options. This can be a major advantage if you’re looking to renovate on a budget.
  2. Quick Availability: These cabinets are readily available and can be purchased and installed in a relatively short timeframe. This is ideal if you’re aiming for a quick renovation or need to meet a tight deadline.
  3. Variety of Options: While they may not offer the same level of customization, modular cabinets come in a wide range of styles, materials, and finishes. You can still find something that suits your taste and complements your bathroom decor.
  4. Ease of Installation: Modular cabinets are designed for easy installation, which can reduce labor costs and simplify the renovation process.

CONS:

  1. Limited Customization: Modular cabinets offer limited customization options. You’ll need to work with standard sizes and designs, which may not perfectly fit your space or style preferences.
  2. Variable Quality: The quality of modular cabinets can vary significantly. While there are high-quality options available, some may be made from lower-grade materials that could affect durability and lifespan.
  3. Less Unique: Since these cabinets are mass-produced, they may lack the unique, personalized touch that custom cabinets provide. If you’re looking for something truly distinctive, modular options might fall short.

2024.05.21 10:00 m1kl33 Do Millennials and Gen Z have opposite views on workplace romance?

Disclaimer: I know neither group is homogenous, lol. Just needed to keep the title simple.
So I (94-born) was complaining to my 99-born sister earlier today about my coworker making things awkward at work. I lean stereotypical millennial and she leans zoomer in general behaviothinking.
Context: This is a new coworker, so only been acquainted a short time. We have a some interests in common and get along great, but after just a few good conversations, he started asking about my relationship status and making flirty comments that got bolder the more I dodged them. I quickly cut all non-work related communication with him in half and tripled my response times to nip that in the bud. He's still polite at work, but also obviously annoyed.
I thought my sister would agree that it's inappropriate at worst and awkward at best, but instead she said something like, "what, do you just not like him or something?" I was confused by that and told her that I actually didn't get why he would be so comfortable to take the conversation there with a coworker in less than 2 weeks and not even be slightly concerned about the risks.
And to that she said, "oh. i don't think it's really a problem for most people if you like the person, but yeah, if you don't like them, that would be pretty annoying."
I don't know how old the coworker is but if I had to guess, I'd say 26+
I've been under the impression that workplace romances are still frowned upon in general, but my sister's response has me wondering if things really have changed. Which would explain many my female coworkers acting weird towards me when I've shut down flirting or advances from male coworkers in the past couple of years.
I get that there aren't as many opportunities (or 3rd places) to meet people romantically as there probably used to be, and I'm not against office dating or anything, I just thought it was still extremely taboo, lol.
Curious to hear everyone else's thoughts or experiences with this. Have you noticed a big difference in attitudes between millennials and Gen Z on this topic?

2024.05.21 09:58 ThrowRA_Amy- Failing alg 2. What do I do now

Let’s keep this short and sweet. I suck at math. Always have. I ask questions and do my assignments. Still suck. I managed to pass all the grading periods of algebra 2 (I’m a junior yes) but up until now, the FINAL grading period I’m failing. Or going to at least. I have a C- right now and my final exam is tomorrow and I know I am not passing. I just know it. Couldn’t answer a single question on the review sheet.
Basically all I’m asking is if I pass all the grading periods except for the final one am I going to need to do anything about it? If so, what?
Figured it was better to ask some strangers on Reddit since my school advisors take over three months to answer simple E-Mails.

2024.05.21 09:45 unidentifiable001X Short attention span

I've got an incredibly short attention span, and my grades are suffering immensely because of this.
It certainly didn't begin with me studying at York, but it's intensified throughout the years.
Even as a kid, my family called me "distracted" because I was never able to focus on a task for a concentrated period of time, be it studying, playing the piano or learning a new language.
But around COVID, I got addicted to social media and porn because I was craving that dopamine rush. That made my inconsistent behavior even more inconsistent.
I'm in York, and this still hasn't changed. It's weighing down on me HEAVY. I need help and possibly an accountability partner. So I don't find myself focusing on anything I don't immediately "like". If I do focus on those things, I'm lucky, not consistent.
If you've struggled/ are struggling with this please dm me

2024.05.21 09:39 iUsuallyDoStuff How do you deal with shame/eat your pride after failing to follow through 2 times(26/M)

I was a electrical engineering student. Somewhere along the way I lost interest(if there ever was any) and just before doing the final paper(diploma) I quit. I didn't like "log out" of the university.. i just didn't write it.
I had decent grades (9.0/10), I felt like I can become something ..someone. but my interest kept on changing and .. failing. Already in first year I found out how much of a mistake this college was because I like creative stuff more, I like languages, art.. video games.. Instead of changing universities I stayed.. with my friends and my interest was getting smaller and smaller. I tried brute forcing it. "Let's try all the labs and surely one of them will be my calling". Tried a robotics project, made some progress, but failed when it got super hard, It felt difficult asking for help when every1 seemed busy. Went into biomed tech lab, learned stuff, but I aimed to high(I was reading phd docs), so I got scared and quit, same happened with 2 more labs. At that point I hated electrical engineering.
When it came to the final paper time(also during covid) I had trouble deciding on the theme of the paper. Everything seemed too difficult(probably also because of my previous failures in labs.. I felt like I learned nothing of value, nothing that can be used, so I also dreaded college even more.) I finally found a theme unrelated with anything electrical.. got it approved. Then covid hit and the whole thing got put on hold.. nobody asked questions. After 6 months-ish I had to go back and beg them to help me, "I wanna do this, let's do this, I promise I'll make it work, I'm dedicated, look at my grades, I wont dissapoint". I got them to approve, but I wrote nothing. Why? I think because of the dilemma in my head. THe only reason I'd do this is to shut up my parents who paid for it(college was free but they paid for my living expenses at the campus). I felt/knew I owe it to them, but the other part said "this is useless, I hate this field anyway, I learned nothing, why even finish it if it brings no value, so I didn't write it
Then few months later I got notice that this is my last chance to write it for free(otherwise it is a few hundred bucks). Ofc I got motivate(or scared?), I beg proffesor again, he approves, gives me material. Basocally how I got him to agree; I made research, I bookmarked around 300 articles/diplomas/papers on my paper thesis and then he saw my "dedication" and agreed.
But again my mind overpowered me with the same thoughts. "this is useless, I hate this field anyway, I want to work in something else".. And I failed to follow through
If you read this far.. apologies for the length.
Basically now I'm 2 years into a dead-end factory job that I hate. Manual labour, dust, noise, micromanaging boss, working saturdays, 3 shifts, glue, itch, and as I get so depressed here I can't help but think "what can I do to make it better". I still don't have any wish to work in electrical engineering field but my peers&mom say "a degree is still a degree"... So a tiny part of me thinks that maybe finishing this would somehow help me with getting a job, even an unrelated one.. Even though I'm more interested in video games/languages/helping people I sometimes wonder(usually at work.. xdd) what if I finish that degree.. maybe I can get a better job.
So then the question would be; How do I eat my pride/not be so ashamed to ask the proffesor for the 3rd time.
I'm not sure I actually want to finish it.. but I do want to make my situation better.
A bit more info: In elementary my best friends decided to go into a vocational school for electrotechnicians, and as I was a huge video game addict, introverted, I feared going to some school where my friends wouldn't be, and I made my self believe I don't like studying so I didn't go with.. smarter friends to an actual high school(one that would open a lot more doors at this point). So I went to that vocational school, passed it with "golden matura", basically a reward you get if you get like all the points on the finals... I was told I'm gifted all my life so ofcourse college is the next step. At this point I was still(And I still am) a video game addict and introverted so... my other interests were put on hold again. No architecture, no sailing stuff .. no.. electrical engineering college where my friends will once again be.

2024.05.21 09:38 radiognomebbq Multiple workstations fail to detect OS updates or report successful installation back to SCCM

Hello,
I have a major problem with Windows Updates installation on SCCM clients. Only about 70% of clients install updates successfully, and the remaining 30% are all over the place.
About 15% are stuck in permanent "Detection state unknown" - no matter what i do, they simply do not detect published updates. Part of these do not see updates at all. Part of these sees 3rd party updates, like Adobe Reader updates, but ignores OS updates.
Another 15% are stuck in "Update is required" state. Part of these actually manages to install the updates, but apparently fails to report it to SCCM. Part of these do not show the available updates, just like the ones in "Detection state unknown" group.
There is no apparent common reason for this behavior. All the affected workstations belong to different locations, different subnets, where 7 out of 10 of their neighbors updating just fine.
Some workstations that were successfully installing the updates before can suddenly stop doing that at random.
There are some random errors in client logs, but i am not sure if these are at fault, or something else is.
For example:
  1. ScanAgent.log
There are many messages, like "Sources are current, but invalid. TTL is also invalid." Sometimes it changes to "Sources are current and valid. TTLs are however, invalid." Sometimes the sources are "not current". Sometimes both sources are "Current" and "TTL is valid".
These change at random it seems.
  1. UpdatesDeployment.log
There are random "GetUpdateInfo - failed to get targeted update, error = 0x87d00215." in the log.
I've seen some articles on both errors, but none helped. I am mostly sure that boundaries are correct (in fact i've created an additional specific boundary just for tests). About distribution points having problems etc, as i said earlier, 7 out of 10 workstations are fine using the same DP and so on. System restart is enforced after the updates, so it is not like they are permanently stuck in "restart required".
I tried contacting MS support, and they recommended to reset WU components on affected workstations. It did help for some as a short-term solution, but not for all. Compliance rate went up somewhat the previous month. But now, month later, i am back to where i was before, at low 70%.
If i use built-in Windows Update on problematic workstations, or join them to Intune, then they successfully detect and install all necessary updates, so it is clearly SCCM problem. Unfortunately switching everything to Intune is not a solution, as i am also using Task sequences to update some specific 3rd party applications, and TS stop working on Intune-joined PCs.
We are using SCCM 2403 (the same problem was on earlier versions too).
1 primary site, 1 server with Software update point and WSUS, 6 DP servers.
Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2 workstations. (about 1000 clients total)
Fun fact - Windows Server OS-es are apparently unaffected by this problem.
I've tried re-creating ADR and re-deploying the SUG. I've checked Site and Component statuses -- nothing that can be related to my problem. The affected clients are shown as available and passing checks.
I am completely out of ideas.
Any thoughts are welcome, what could be a problem? What else should i check? Any information i should provide?
Thank you.

The Cold Steel Double Agent II, designed by Zach Whitson, is a versatile and portable knife that is perfect for urban carry. With a blade length of 3 inches and overall length of 7.78 inches, it's thin, flat, and lightweight at just over 3 ounces including the sheath. The star feature of this knife is the double ring handle, which allows you to use it with either a forward or reverse grip, and prevents your hand from sliding forward on the blade.
The Japanese Aus 8A stainless steel makes it durable and easy to maintain. The Secure-Ex Neck Sheath provides a secure and easy-to-use carry option.
However, the sheath might need some adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for some users. Overall, the Cold Steel Double Agent II is a great choice for self-defense and urban carry, offering a high level of functionality and portability for its price.

One day, I found myself in a situation where I needed a reliable and sturdy knife. After a quick research, I stumbled upon the Cold Steel Chaos, a double-edge fixed blade inspired by the classic trench knives from both World Wars. This knife was designed for modern-day warriors, offering both security and comfort while holding it.
Upon holding the knife, the unique D-ring guard made of reinforced 6061 aluminum caught my attention. It allowed me to grip the knife securely, while also protecting my hand from incoming attacks and damage. The 1055 carbon steel pommel was tapered for punyo or butt-strikes, making it perfect to defend myself in a life-threatening scenario.
The 7.5-inch SK-5 high carbon blade was available in either double-edge or tanto blade shapes. I opted for the double-edge, as I believed it would provide a more efficient cutting and striking experience. The black Tuff-Ex coating on the blade enhanced corrosion resistance and improved cutting power by reducing friction.
The handle, made of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, felt solid and secure in my hand. It accommodated a wide range of hand sizes, including mine with average-sized hands. The knife came with a tough Secure-Ex sheath, equipped with a belt loop for dependable and versatile carry.
My experience with the Cold Steel Chaos double-edge blade was nothing short of impressive. It offered a perfect balance between form and function in a sleek design. Although it was a bit heavy compared to other knives, its weight contributed to its strength and effectiveness. The knife was sharp, sturdy, and ready for action at all times, making it an excellent addition to my daily life and adventures.

Crafted with CPM3-V steel, this knife boasts a robust design that's perfect for tackling the rigors of everyday life. Equipped with a full tang and integral steel pommel, the AK-47 Field Knife offers both functionality and durability. It also comes with a Secure-Ex sheath, providing the convenience of easy transportation. While this knife may not be ideal for all situations, those who value rugged reliability will appreciate its toughness and versatility.

This folding knife features a durable SK-5 Carbon Steel blade and a striking faux sawed bone handle, offering both style and substance.
One of the standout features of this knife is its thick, tapered blade that adds to its toughness, making it a great choice for hunting and hiking expeditions. The blade is razor sharp right out of the box, ensuring you'll be ready for any task at hand. The lock-up is secure, while the sheath is well made and includes a nice snap-on cover with thick leather.
However, one small downside could be the sheath, which some users have found a little loose, making it less secure when attached to their belts. But this shouldn't diminish the overall value of the knife, which has won praise for its solid construction, great design, and fantastic edge retention.
The Ranch Boss II Folder 4 in Blade with Stag Handle is an excellent choice for those seeking a high-quality, versatile folding knife that looks as good as it performs. With its rugged appeal and impeccable craftsmanship, this Cold Steel knife is sure to become a reliable companion on your next great adventure.

🔗Compact and lightweight Cold Steel Peace Maker II knife

I've been using the Cold Steel Peace Maker II for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's a game-changer. The knife is incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for daily carry. I've been using it for a variety of tasks, from opening boxes to trimming small branches, and it's handled every job with ease.
One of the standout features is the Scandi ground blade, which is incredibly easy to resharpen. The unique compound ground clip point provides a stiff distal tapered point capable of piercing thick targets without compromising precious cutting power.
The ergonomic handle design is another plus, with a thin, rectangular shape and subtle contouring. The palm swell and double quillon guard offer both comfort and protection. The knife also comes with a secure-ex sheath, which is cut and stab-resistant and impervious to the elements. The sheath attachment is sturdy and won't come loose, even during strenuous activities.
However, the blade does require frequent sharpening due to its soft steel composition. But considering the product's affordability, it's a small price to pay for the versatility and convenience it offers. The Peace Maker II is a reliable, multifunctional knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable and versatile cutting tool.

🔗VG-1 San Mai 3 Stainless Steel Cold Steel Oss Hunting Knife with Kray-Ex Handle

As a reviewer who has tried the Cold Steel Master Hunter, I can confidently say that it has become my go-to knife for various outdoor activities. One of the features that stood out to me was the comfortable, deeply checkered Kraton grip, which allows for long-term use without any discomfort. The broad, thin blade with a distinct taper provides exceptional cutting ability, edge retention, and ease of resharpening.
However, one of the cons I encountered was the knife's tendency to be easily lost due to its minimalistic design. I also noticed that the blade occasionally required additional sharpening, despite its excellent edge retention. Nevertheless, the overall performance and durability of the Master Hunter make it a reliable and versatile tool for all your hunting needs.

🔗Lightweight Miniature Cold Steel Super Edge Knife

The Super Edge is the ultimate keychain companion for any adventurous spirit. With its sleek design and razor-sharp blade, this little powerhouse can take on any task thrown at it. Whether you're taming a wild zipper or cutting through a tough piece of rope, the Super Edge never disappoints.
Its lightweight construction and secure sheath make it a discreet and convenient carry option, ensuring you're prepared for any situation. While its diminutive size may fool some, never underestimate the capabilities of this impressive workhorse.

The Cold Steel Kyoto II Tanto Fixed Blade Knife is a handy and reliable tool for everyday use. The blade's robust design is impressive, and its slim, comfortable sheath ensures easy access to this versatile knife.
Upon receiving the product, I was pleasantly surprised by its high-quality packaging, which added to my anticipation of trying it out. When I took it out, I appreciated its sturdy construction and thought it felt well-balanced in my hand.
One of the highlights of this knife is its impressive cutting power. It's a great option for various tasks due to its strong, sharp blade. The Kray-Ex handle offers a comfortable grip, and the Kydex sheath is easy to attach to a belt or wear horizontally.
However, I noticed that the sheath does not come with a belt clip, which might be inconvenient for some users. Additionally, while the knife is made of MoV steel, I found that its edge needs frequent sharpening compared to other knives I've used.
Overall, the Cold Steel Kyoto II Tanto Fixed Blade Knife is a solid choice for those seeking a traditional-looking, yet practical and reliable tool. Its unique design, sharp blade, and secure handle make it a great addition to any knife collection.

The Cold Steel Tanto Spike is a perfect blend of style and functionality, designed specifically to meet the needs of the modern adventurer. When you first take it out of the box, its slim profile and sleek design leave a lasting impression. Handling the knife feels smooth, like a well-oiled machine. The zero ground blade is incredibly sharp and capable of tackling any task, whether it's slicing through fruits or skinning wild game.
One of the standout features of the Tanto Spike is its textured G-10 Griv-Ex handle, which offers a firm grip even in the most slippery conditions. The blade is perfectly balanced, making it a joy to handle and easy to deploy when needed. Its versatile design allows it to be carried in a variety of ways, whether you prefer wearing it around your neck or strapping it to your waistband.
However, the Tanto Spike is not without its drawbacks. Its size may be a bit too much for some, making it an awkward choice for those who prefer a more compact option. The sheath also deserves some attention, as it may require some adjustments to ensure a snug fit when attached to your belt.
Despite these minor shortcomings, the Cold Steel Tanto Spike remains a top-tier choice for those in search of a reliable and stylish pocket knife. Its razor-sharp blade, versatile design, and secure grip make it a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts and everyday carriers alike.

🔗Double Agent II by Cold Steel: The Ultimate Special Forces Knife

https://preview.redd.it/kf09tsoqfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3b63010a6ef1238e96776686a0c15ffc9e760f5

🔗Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 Biker Knife with Secure-Ex Sheath

https://preview.redd.it/3r8o3mxqfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e2de722d830d1515e55ff225719a21aa9132c0a
I recently tried the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5, and I must say, I was truly impressed by this knife. The blade material, SK-5 carbon stainless steel, provided a smooth cut and the razor-sharp edge was exceptional. The handle, made of Kraton, was both comfortable and grippy in my hand.
One of the standout features of this knife was its balance. It felt well-proportioned and easy to maneuver, making it a great choice for various tasks, from camping to self-defense. The blade thickness of 5mm added an extra layer of confidence when performing deeper cuts.
While the blade material is rust-resistant, the black Tuff-Ex finish on the blade did scratch off quite easily. However, this did not affect the knife's performance or durability. The weight of the knife, at 250 grams, made it a suitable everyday carry, providing a mix of portability and power.
Overall, the Cold Steel Recon Tanto SK-5 is a high-quality knife with a durable design and a smooth, sharp edge. It's an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable and versatile fixed blade for their everyday needs or even the most challenging outdoor situations.

🔗Dependable Tanto SAS Knife with Polypropylene Handle

https://preview.redd.it/4i01jkgrfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd6c10bfccc8c4d7be31f5f6e57dea65d4925d2f
The Cold Steel GI Tanto 80PGTK is a versatile, well-rounded tactical knife that has become a staple for many outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists. Its broad blade and integrated guard design provide a solid grip, while the Polypropylene handle scales offer a comfortable and durable hold.
I've had the pleasure of using this knife in various situations, from camping trips to survival drills, and it has never let me down. The 1055 carbon steel ensures a strong, rugged construction that holds up well against rust and harsh conditions. The spring-tempered steel provides an excellent balance between strength and flexibility, allowing the blade to withstand the most demanding tasks without compromising its performance.
One of the standout features of the GI Tanto is its versatility - it can be easily converted into a spear in a pinch, simply by removing the handle scales and attaching the blade to a suitable wooden shaft. This adaptability makes it an invaluable addition to any survival kit or bug-out bag.
However, no product is without its drawbacks, and the GI Tanto is no exception. While its sturdy construction ensures a long lifespan, handling it for extended periods can be tiring due to its substantial weight. Additionally, the knife's size makes it less practical for everyday carry or more discreet situations.
Price-wise, the GI Tanto is a steal, offering a fantastic value for its quality and features. It's affordable enough to stock up on multiple copies for personal use or as gifts for friends and family.
In summary, the Cold Steel GI Tanto 80PGTK is a robust, versatile, and dependable tactical knife that has earned its reputation among outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists alike. Its few drawbacks are outweighed by its numerous benefits, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a durable and versatile blade for their adventures.

🔗SK-5 High Carbon Cold Steel - Chaos Double Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/t09nqfrrfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0dca37b5938fece92d9d262bd20d1c510a35f82

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

https://preview.redd.it/be02p66sfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4715c4cfdb0aefef000198a79034e12d65e7e899
As someone who often finds themselves in need of a reliable blade for everyday use, I've had the pleasure of testing out the Cold Steel Kobun. This lightweight Tanto styled boot knife is definitely a handy addition to have on hand. I was instantly impressed by its sharp, reinforced point that contrasts with the thin blades commonly found in other boots knives.
One feature that stood out to me was the Kobun's deeply checkered Kraton handle. It offers an excellent grip, making the knife more secure in the hand. The cross section of the handle is also surprisingly thin, while still providing enough thickness to resist turning or shifting.
Another notable aspect of the Kobun is that it comes complete with a Secure-Ex sheath. This sturdy sheath makes it easy to attach the knife securely to your belt, ensuring that it remains easily accessible whenever you need it.
However, there was one downside that I discovered while using the Kobun. The default clip that was included with the knife was quite weak and didn't hold up well to everyday wear. I had to replace it with a Blade-Tech brand Tek-Lok belt attachment in order to ensure a more secure and reliable attachment to my belt.
Overall, the Cold Steel Kobun has been a reliable and versatile companion during my everyday activities. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a durable and efficient boot knife for both personal and practical use.

🔗Compact Fixed Blade Knife with Black Handle

https://preview.redd.it/uvcp35nsfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1354e64e7d501816f2b0264ab1b1b3d2b4ab1c61
I recently got my hands on a Cold Steel SRK Compact fixed blade knife, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer for those seeking a reliable and stylish companion while on outdoor adventures. The knife features a compact handle & blade made of Kray-Ex & SK5, measuring in at just 12.5 cm (5 inches). Weighing only 145 grams, it's remarkably lightweight and effortless to carry around.
One thing that struck me is the sturdy Secure-Ex sheath it comes with – it's a fantastic addition! However, I did notice a few minor drawbacks. Firstly, the blade edges seemed a bit too uneven for my liking. Secondly, I'm not a big fan of the flex hanger option, but that's just personal preference.
Overall, I believe that the Cold Steel SRK Compact is a fantastic choice for outdoor enthusiasts. It's light, easy to carry, and offers great performance. Just make sure to sharpen it properly and maintain it well to enjoy its full potential.

🔗Stylish and durable AK-47 Field Knife by Cold Steel

https://preview.redd.it/umfirqzsfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74654e3a165c9c7c5f42dabcd80f949763670056
The Cold Steel AK-47 Field Knife has quickly become a favorite amongst those seeking a reliable and sturdy multi-purpose fixed blade. Crafted with CPM3-V steel, this knife boasts a robust design that's perfect for tackling the rigors of everyday life. The stonewashed finish adds an element of toughness, ensuring that this field knife is ready for even the harshest conditions.

🔗San MAI Recon Tanto Sas Knife - High-Quality VG-10 Stainless Steel Blade with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/0lmb2catfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c66cda0fb2434c61d35030ce21fb3027bd3457c
I've been using the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto as my daily pocket knife for the past few months, and I must say, it's a fantastic blade. The handle is made of Black Kray-Ex, providing a solid grip with no rolling or twisting in the hand, even under heavy use. The knife measures 11.75 inches overall, with a blade length of 17.9 cm, making it perfect for various tasks.
One of the most impressive features of this Tanto is its blade, made of VG-10 San Mai Stainless Steel. The deep lustrous satin finish on the hollow ground blade bevels and the contrasting line grain finish on the blade flats emphasize the knife's unique appearance. The blade is razor sharp, and I haven't needed much maintenance, even after some heavy use.
Although it's not a "do-it-all" knife, the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto is a great medium-sized Tanto. It's been through some rough use, and I'm glad to say it held up well. The knife comes with a thick, high-quality Secure-Ex sheath that has given me years of hard service, keeping my Tanto at my side. Overall, I highly recommend the Cold Steel San MAI Recon Tanto for its cutting capability, durability, and affordable price.

🔗versatile and durable small fixed blade knife

https://preview.redd.it/6m0heiqtfq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2795aef13147e607d3c29e4b5ebacab15f63c4c7
I've been using the Cold Steel FGX Wasp for a while now and it's quite the versatile and durable little knife. The serrated blade is perfect for tackling all kinds of cutting tasks, from rope to branches, and it's been a real lifesaver when I'm out in the woods.
One of the things I love most about this knife is its length. At 12.25 inches, it's long enough to handle a wide range of tasks, but not so long that it's cumbersome or difficult to control. And when I'm using it, I'm never worried about it breaking or wearing down, thanks to the high-strength, lightweight Griv-Ex material used in its construction.
Of course, no product is perfect and this knife is no exception. The blade has a dull edge, which means it's not great for everyday use or for any tasks that require a sharper edge. And while the black Griv-Ex construction adds to its sleek and stylish appearance, it's also made it a bit difficult to grip at times.
Overall, the Cold Steel FGX Wasp is a great knife for anyone who needs a reliable cutting tool for their outdoor adventures. It's lightweight, durable, and versatile, and it's definitely earned a spot in my gear bag.

🔗Slim and Effective Steel Surveillance Knife for Self-Defense

https://preview.redd.it/5wthtr4ufq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6193af3239fffe7b5765aa165ac2f7b39c22cb4e
Recently, I've been trying out the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. This sleek little thing, perfect for self-defense, fits conveniently under any clothing, making it the ideal secret weapon (if you can keep it that way! ). It's so lightweight, you'll barely notice the half-pound heft, and the 4-inch blade is sharp as a tack – if you're not paying close attention, the edges might leave you astounded, your friends and family, that is.
Now, we all know that sharpness can sometimes come at a cost - durability. However, this knife's AUS 8A stainless steel blade seems to handle it all, remaining steady even after some of my more intense activities. The flat ground design does wonders against whatever material it clashes with.
The Secret Edge also includes a Secure-Ex sheath, a reliable retention system that's quick to access and deploy without compromising safety—perfect for those urgent moments. And it's equipped with a thin, flat faux G-10 handle, ergonomic enough to stay put in your hand while preventing any slippage or rolling. The three-hole design and aggressively textured surface ensure a grip like no other.
However, there are a few minor things that I've picked up on:
  1. The edge is only 3.5 inches long, despite the claim of a 3.5-inch blade length, which does diminish its cutting power.
  2. The product's description said it has no weight, but it actually weighs 3.2 ounces. It might seem negligible, but it makes a difference, especially over long periods of wear.
Overall, the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife has been a remarkable addition to my daily life. Its unassuming appearance, while still offering reliable functionality, makes it a top choice for those in need of a tactful self-defense tool.

🔗Lightweight Miniature Cold Steel Super Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/ftf1jkqufq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41b1b4243db4851de603ffb131d042665c30d391
The Super Edge has proven itself as a reliable tool in the hands of users, earning its stellar reputation as one of the best keychain knives on the market.

🔗Cold Steel OSS Knife: Efficient Field Tool with Japanese AUS8A Stainless Steel Blade

https://preview.redd.it/ujtrsyzufq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8871063c654acc09beed859f12e6ff2c5506fc09
I recently had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel 39LSSS OSI Tactical Gear during a few camping trips. This knife truly shines when it comes to cutting and slashing through tough materials. The blade's thin ultra-keen edge is a testament to its impressive performance.
One of the standout features of this knife is its Secure-Ex Sheath, which keeps it safely tucked away when not in use. The Japanese AUS 8A Stainless Steel blade lends a sense of durability and reliability, perfect for those who need a versatile and effective blade in their daily life.
However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks worth mentioning. The handle/guard is a bit flexible, which may not be ideal for heavy-duty tasks. Additionally, some users have found it a bit challenging to remove the knife from the Secure-Ex Sheath.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Cold Steel 39LSSS OSI Tactical Gear has proven to be a reliable and effective companion on my camping trips. Its balance and heft make it a joy to use, and the Secure-Ex Sheath ensures that it's always ready for action. Overall, this is an impressive knife that's well worth considering for anyone in need of a reliable and versatile blade for various purposes.

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

https://preview.redd.it/bfs3dmv1fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f692528d0f06b7b510feab444105a0dfc9f2ecf

🔗Compact and lightweight Cold Steel Peace Maker II knife

https://preview.redd.it/r4cn4d62fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=34066e36fe7248ac15437009b8f9ecc50971b805

🔗Slim and Effective Steel Surveillance Knife for Self-Defense

https://preview.redd.it/g1r2r6h2fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fdec35fb0b41a67b4a10a5ce1eab59421c92f5be
Recently, I've been trying out the Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT Knife, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer.

🔗Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto: Sleek and Impervious Serrated Knife

https://preview.redd.it/uo8zsk13fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c997eb767b7029bdf8072a270456a4915e3e7b0a
I remember the day I brought home my Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto. The sleek black design and the promise of a lightweight yet durable knife piqued my curiosity. It was a perfect addition to my collection of self-defense tools, for those moments when you need to protect yourself and your loved ones.
The handle, made of Kraton, felt great in my hand, with its solid grip that remained unaffected by temperature and moisture. It was a great contrast to the Grivory blade finish, which made the knife look even more menacing. I loved how the tanto point blade shape gave a perfect balance between sharpness and durability.
However, it wasn't all roses. The Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto felt a bit underwhelming when it came to cutting tasks. Its plastic blade just didn't have the same edge retention as a traditional steel blade, making it not ideal for more demanding tasks like cutting through thick materials.
Still, for the price and as a lightweight and corrosion-resistant self-defense tool, the Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto has proven to be quite the handy piece. It's a unique addition to any collection, and it's been a great conversation starter among my friends and family.

🔗Highly Durable Cold Steel Bushman Knife for Survival Needs

https://preview.redd.it/xrshnvn3fq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=00990bc9468e36a30a12eaf3320a925af6afa3ae
Recently, I had the pleasure of using the Cold Steel Bushman Knife and let me tell you, my experience was quite an adventure. This knife, with its 7-inch blade made of SK-5 high carbon steel, proved to be a reliable companion on my outdoor excursions.
One of the standout features was its hollow handle, which was surprisingly versatile. I was able to store a few essentials inside, and with the right handle extensions, I could reach impressive lengths for certain tasks. The knife's unique construction allowed for a seamless blend of blade and handle, which gave it a solid, reliable feel.
However, there was one drawback to my experience: the sheath. While the Secure-Ex sheath featured a Ferrocerium Fire Steel, which was convenient for starting fires, it had a few issues. The locking mechanism was less than secure, making it prone to accidental release. It also lacked a left-handed option, which could be a dealbreaker for some users.
Despite these minor setbacks, the Cold Steel Bushman Knife proved to be a sturdy and practical tool for various outdoor activities. With its strong blade and adaptable handle, it was a reliable ally on my adventures. While the sheath could use some improvements, the knife itself more than made up for it.

🔗Cold Steel Trench Hawk Trainer - Practical, Durable, and Safe Tomahawk Training

When I got my hands on the Cold Steel Trench Hawk Trainer, I was immediately impressed by its size and weight. The synthetic material felt surprisingly sturdy and authentic, making it perfect for learning the ropes without the danger of injury.
Not to mention, it closely resembles the actual Trench Hawk, so every training session felt like a real-life scenario. However, the weight was noticeably lighter than the real deal, which might not be ideal for those looking for a more accurate experience.
Overall, the Trench Hawk Trainer provided a safe and effective way to hone my skills, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to up their training game.

I recently tried out the Cold Steel Razor Tek, and I must say, it's a versatile and sturdy blade that has made quite an impact in my outdoor adventures. The 6.5" 5mm thick recurve blade is a powerful tool for those who need a reliable knife for larger tasks - it's perfect for chopping. The ergonomic and textured handle provides a comfortable grip that's suitable for any wilderness outing.
One feature that stood out to me is the secure-ex belt sheath, which holds the knife securely and makes it easy to access when needed. The 11.7 oz weight is manageable, allowing for long-term usage without causing fatigue. However, the knife's size and thickness might not be ideal for everyone, so it's essential to consider if it's suitable for your specific needs.
Overall, the Cold Steel Razor Tek is a well-crafted blade that would be an excellent addition to any outdoor enthusiast's arsenal. The 4116 stainless steel and the black Gfn handle make it a reliable and stylish choice. While it may not be the cheapest option on the market, the Razor Tek's quality and durability make it a worthwhile investment for those looking for a dependable cutting tool.

I recently got my hands on the Cold Steel Commercial Series Chef's Knife, and I must say, it has been a game-changer in my daily life. The knife's razor-sharp cryo-quenched German 4116 steel not only makes cutting vegetables and meat a breeze but also re-sharpening is a breeze in the field.
The handle, featuring a stiff Zy-Ex core for durability and a non-slip Kray-Ex exterior, provides a comfortable grip for hours of use. This knife has become a staple in my kitchen, and I find myself reaching for it every time I need to chop anything.
However, one downside I've noticed is the build quality. The knife I received had a small gap between the handle and the blade, which might pose a hygiene problem when used for meat and fish. But overall, it's a fantastic kitchen knife for the price, and I highly recommend it for everyday use.

🔗Heavy-Duty, Comfortable Cold Steel Kitchen Knife

The Cold Steel Kitchen Classics Chef Knife has been a lifesaver in my daily kitchen tasks. The 8-inch blade is incredibly sharp and holds its edge well, making it perfect for everything from slicing through tomatoes to chopping up a variety of fruits and veggies. The handle is also quite comfortable to grip, providing a secure and solid hold.
One of the highlights of this knife is its German 4116 stainless cryo-quenched material, which ensures the blade remains sharp and durable. I especially enjoyed the terrific stiff Zy-Ex core and the softer, deeply checkered Kray-Ex exterior handle for a non-slip grip. This knife has been my go-to in the kitchen, and I appreciate its reasonable price tag.
However, there was one downside: the grip started to peel and break after about two years of use. Nonetheless, this knife truly stands out for its superb sharpness, comfort, and durability.

As a home chef, I've always been on the lookout for affordable yet high-quality knives. That's when I stumbled upon the Cold Steel Commercial Series Butcher Knife 8.0 in Blade. Impressed by the sharpness and durability of the blade upon first use, I knew that this knife could handle any heavy-duty task in my kitchen.
One of the features that stood out to me is the ergonomic design of the handle. The Zy-Ex core adds rigidity, while the softer, food-safe Kray-Ex exterior provides a comfortable, non-slip grip. After hours of chopping vegetables and cutting meat, my hand never felt tired or overwhelmed. This is truly a game-changer when it comes to kitchen knives.
However, the blade is quite heavy, which requires a certain level of force to wield effectively. For those with weaker hands or for tasks that don't require much pressure, this may be an issue. But, in my experience, the weight has been a welcome addition to the overall power of the knife.
When it comes to sharpening, the cryo-quenched German 4116 Steel holds an edge remarkably well. I've used it extensively without any significant blade degradation. The knives also do not rust easily, a crucial factor when dealing with raw meat or wet conditions.

2024.05.21 09:21 BayonettaBasher [OC] Ranking the last 20 rings by value

So, let's start by accepting that all rings are not created equal. Each ring is a ring, but each ring has its own circumstances that determine how they are remembered down the line. What contributes into that? Generally, it seems the most considered factors are narrative and path, narrative being the behind-the-scenes story context that gives this ring meaning to fans of the players and teams, and path being the strictly basketball elements like the opponents played and actual performance. Let's look at the recent rings going back 20 years. Disclaimer, I just started watching basketball in 2010, so I've probably missed bits of context from the 2000s ones.
I scored them out of 5 based on narrative and path, added the totals, and broke ties with my own subjective, sometimes biased opinion.
How do you think the 2024 ring will be remembered depending on who wins? The Timberwolves in particular have a chance to win a very strong ring. They would have beaten the Suns, Nuggets, Mavs, and most likely the Celtics. Gobert and KAT would throw off the playoff underperformer labels for good and Ant would emerge as one of this generation's greats. If the Mavs win, their ring would be a little weaker due to playing injured Kawhi and not having to go through the defending champs, but it would rebuild Kyrie's legacy, vindicate Cuban for tanking, establish Jason Kidd as a championship head coach, and of course give Luka a ring. If the Celtics win, they would have played relatively weak opponents for the first three rounds but could win some path points with a strong Finals showing; Tatum's perception could increase or decrease depending on how the Finals go, with his personal legacy points surely to be deducted if Brown wins Finals MVP. If the Pacers win, a strong showing against the Celtics and whoever they play in the Finals could erase the asterisks from the first two rounds. If the Pacers won while facing healthy Milwaukee and NY, it would be a crazy strong ring.

2024.05.21 09:20 Swimming-Most-6756 DIRTY, moldy, room with water dripping from the ceiling—- what should I do now?

Hello everyone.
Currently just completed a stay at a Motel 6/ Studio 6 combo property… Yes they’re both in one. One on each wing with the same front desk servicing both right in the center.
I had originally booked a stay for Tuesday-Sunday in a Motel 6 room with refrigeratomicrowave.. got in to check in around 3am so they checked me in right away. The next morning, I was moved to a room without refrigeratomicrowave.. somewhere somehow a mistake had been made and my reservation for that microwave/fridge room would have only been thru until Saturday… meaning I’d have to move rooms for that Saturday night stay. Exhausted, with everything going on, I just went ahead and moved Wednesday morning so to have a smooth couple days and not worry. The room was so bad. The smell of wet/dampness, masked by commercial grade scented cleaners, it was Bad, and to top it off the A/c unit didnt do much to circulate the air - upon further inspection, at a glance it was clearly dirty with dust/lint, and had rust on the condenser coils. Too tired and aware that the rooms were short, I didnt make a big deal over it, just wiped down what I could and the front desk provided me with a fan to circulate the air.
By the way they have all been A++++ all staff I have encountered. Bravo. So I dont want any of this to fall on them Or make them feel bad for it if its outside of their controls- which is usually the case in these corporate ran places.
Later on at some point I I noticed the bathroom floor was kinda always rather wet… and thought maybe the shower curtain was funky or cracked and ended up coming out into the floor… Cleaned it up, all well, then it was back not long after but not a lot, so maybe I just missed some earlier… THEN I am sitting on the toilet cutting my toenails, when I felt a cold drop of water spray across my back/neck, and again, rapidly increasing, I turned to see that the water was dripping from the brown/black spot on the ceiling directly above me, and it was hitting the lid of the tank splashing it all on the floor where I was finding the puddles.
Again still exhausted and dealing with a bunch of other stuff, plus only having 2 nights left, I didnt make a fuzz over it, likely they have to have known already…
Well I completed my stay on the Motel 6 side on Sunday, and added more but moved to the Studio 6 side, the difference is like night and day… all come with a full size fridge and kitchenette w sink/counters/storage space. No smells in this building, plus I am right next to the pool. And most notably the front desk helped me immensely again by giving me the literal first room coming from the other side, so not to have to haul all my stuff too far, and also did a seamless check in allowing me to check in to my Studio 6 4pm check in early, as soon as I checked out from Motel 6 at noon.
I did make mention about the leaky ceiling at check out, “they had scheduled maintenance and on the way”.
Oh and I am 99.99999% my neighbor at the Motel 6 side-which had connecting rooms 😄- pretty sure she was a crackwhore…. All day and night traffic coming and going as they let the door auto-slam. Then hearing dudes talking, female moaning and what sounded like rhythmic slapping as she moaned… and the unmistakeable sounds of “crack lighters” aka torches… while family guy played in the background and other people just talking casually 🤭😂🤣 They were loud enough that my phone camera mic could pick up the noises just thru the wall, and my friends and I had a blast with that on snapchat at 2am 😅
I have photos of the watemold damage and I may have saved some of the snapchats 😂
If I contact Motel 6 corporate about the leak/mold to ensure it’s addressed and fixed before which left unnattended could have potentially end in a liability claim if a future guest whon hurt ( I know not all black mold is toxic! Still causes me allergy, itchy eyes) I also worry the staff might get blamed for it, when they have all been excellent in their present job title, and noticed that the front desk staff would on occasion also take on housekeeping shifts… maybe they were just covering their breaks. 🤷‍♂️ so I do plan on commending the staff in the email as well
What would you do/think? Any similar experiences? Would it be possible to get some refund from them?

https://preview.redd.it/gptfvc18dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbf487b6f81e04dd893a5de62fcfc08a5d25fb11

🔗SK-5 High Carbon Cold Steel - Chaos Double Edge Knife

https://preview.redd.it/rn7uf0h8dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81a758bcd517b189066a27d5689cba5fbfcc38f3

🔗Classic Cold Steel Tanto Point Boot Knife

https://preview.redd.it/07rsmiu8dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6fef281ce08ec39dbe70f08c98702273638422b

🔗Cold Steel Click-N-Cut Slock Master Folding Hunter Lockback Knife with Security Sheath and Extra Blades.

I've been using the Cold Steel Click-N-Cut Hunter Lockback Knife for a few months now, and I have to say, it's been a lifesaver. The knife's design is sleek and durable, with a sturdy Griv-Ex handle that provides a comfortable grip. The locking mechanism on the blade makes it incredibly secure and safe to use, even for the most demanding tasks.
I particularly love the ability to click and switch between blades with the push of a button. It's a game-changer when it comes to versatility, ensuring I'm always equipped for any job at hand. The sheath is also a great addition, providing a secure way to carry the knife and extra blades when needed.
That being said, there is one aspect I'd like to see improved: the handle's construction. While it provides a good grip, the finish is quite rough and not as premium as I would have hoped for. However, this minor critique does not deter me from fully recommending the Cold Steel Click-N-Cut Hunter Lockback Knife for both beginners and seasoned professionals alike.

🔗Compact Fixed Blade Knife with Black Handle

https://preview.redd.it/86qa8xr9dq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=733a6a3032a4fdb48fb300d85309727e2f9e886d

The Cold Steel AK-47 Field Knife has quickly become a favorite amongst those seeking a reliable and sturdy multi-purpose fixed blade. Crafted with CPM3-V steel, this knife boasts a robust design that's perfect for tackling the rigors of everyday life. The stonewashed finish adds an element of toughness, ensuring that this field knife is ready for even the harshest conditions.

🔗San MAI Recon Tanto Sas Knife - High-Quality VG-10 Stainless Steel Blade with Kray-Ex Handle

https://preview.redd.it/eeiz7eiadq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52bca7c9f29c536da4ddc73640b7bb353be9e97b

🔗Affordable and Portable Secure-Ex Neck Sheath Knife

https://preview.redd.it/m4z65axadq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a0d387d95d0edeb0ae85e9ad0bdb7f989f0a81e6
The Cold Steel 49NDE Hide Out is a versatile neck knife that I've been using daily for a while now and it has never failed to impress. One of the features that stood out to me is its lightweight design, weighing only 1.9oz. It's perfect for those who want a discreet yet effective self-defense tool. The blade is made of Japanese Aus 8A Stainless Steel, giving it an impressive edge sharpness and durability. The double-edged blade is Scandi ground, ensuring a strong and sharp tip, which is especially useful when you need it most.
The Hide Out's handle is made of Kray-Ex, a weather-proof material that provides a great grip and security, even when your hands are wet. It's thin and flat, designed to give me a superior purchase on such a small, lightweight knife. The Secure-Ex sheath and bead chain lanyard make it easy to wear and carry around all day, while the knife itself remains concealed.
However, there are a few drawbacks I've noticed. The AUS 8 steel can rust if not properly maintained, especially if you're using it as a neck knife. The blade scratches easily, making it less visually appealing over time. The bead chain necklace is quite stiff and can sometimes catch on clothes or other objects, making it slightly uncomfortable. Despite these minor issues, I've found the Cold Steel 49NDE Hide Out to be a reliable and effective neck knife that's perfect for those who need a reliable self-defense tool.

🔗Slim and Effective Steel Surveillance Knife for Self-Defense

https://preview.redd.it/bfhidxcbdq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39f0edb318f01dcc0494c436ae6acd3aa5ddb99e

🔗Cold Steel FGX Cat Tanto: Sleek and Impervious Serrated Knife

https://preview.redd.it/r1emheubdq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=061444a3e17ee732965bc1bddb2bac5e60d89332

The Super Edge has proven itself as a reliable tool in the hands of users, earning its stellar reputation as one of the best keychain knives on the market.
