First / Previous / Royal Road / Patreon (Read 12 Chapters Ahead)

Together, Pale and Kayla dragged the mage back to the cave they'd been using for shelter, barely managing to get him inside before the snowfall began again. Pale tied his hands behind his back and his legs together using some paracord she had in her pack, and the two of them stood over the man, staring down at him.
"What now?" Kayla asked. "Do we wait for him to-"
Pale cut her off by bringing the stock of her shotgun across the berserker's face. He reeled from the strike, suddenly catapulting awake, his eyes wide as several of his teeth came spilling out across the stone cave floor. He coughed, spitting out a glob of blood before fixing her with a harsh glare. Smoke began to rise from his palms, but Pale stopped him by putting the barrel of her gun flush with his crotch.
"Unless you want to lose something, I'd suggest keeping your magic under control," she threatened. "Because if I pull this trigger, there isn't a healer alive who'll be able to give back what you'll lose."
The man snarled at her, but the smoke curling up from his hands stopped all the same. He spat out more blood. "The fuck am I still alive for?"
"I think you know exactly what you're alive for. Now, are you going to play nice and tell us what we want to know, or am I going to have to force it out of you piece by piece?"
The mage grinned at her, showing off a mouth full of missing teeth and liquid crimson. "You really think I'd betray my brothers like that?"
"Last I checked, your brothers are all dead," Pale said absentmindedly. "But still, I was hoping you'd pick the hard way; I needed to relieve some stress."
She let her shotgun hang from its sling, then drew her knife. With her free hand, she grabbed one of his fingers, then positioned the blade at the tip.
"Last chance to offer up what you know," she threatened.
The mage barked out a laugh. "Fuck off. You really think I'd ever-"
His bravado suddenly gave way to an agonized scream as Pale forced the blade of her knife underneath his fingernail. He thrashed in agony as she twisted the knife before roughly yanking it free, taking the fingernail with it. She held the disembodied nail up to him, then flicked it away.
"Have I made my point?" she said evenly. "Because last I checked, you've still got nine fingers and ten toes, not to mention a variety of other things I could poke at and prod at and cut off. And when you run out of those, I can just start skinning you bit by bit."
"Fuck you…" he breathed through gritted teeth. "I'll never-"
She took another fingernail for his troubles. Idly, Pale was aware of Kayla flinching with every scream that erupted out of the man's throat, but that didn't bother her.
Kayla had specified no death, but that didn't mean she couldn't make this hurt like hell.
She again positioned the knife at one of his fingertips, only for him to give a weak, shuddering, pain-filled cough.
"W-wait…" he croaked.
"I see your tongue has been thoroughly loosened," she surmised, though she didn't dare to move the blade even a millimeter away from his next finger.
"What do you have for me?"
"I can give you our leader's name."
"And?"
"What do you mean, and? He doesn't tell us anything, he just pays us and feeds us, like any good leader should."
Pale's expression narrowed. "You had better give me something more substantial to go on, otherwise I have no reason to keep you around."
"Pale-" Kayla began, only to fall silent when she held up a hand. Reluctantly, Kayla backed down, though she continued to look on with concern as Pale's grip around her blade turned white-knuckled.
"Tell me something useful," Pale demanded. "Unless you want to see exactly how much pain I can commit to before I get bored."
"Okay, okay!" the bandit growled. "Fine… our leader's name is Sven Greymane, the warrior-king of the northern isles. He's the one who ordered us to attack certain towns on this continent."
"Is that why you sacked some and completely bypassed others?"
He nodded. "Yes. That was all part of the plan – he'd give us locations to attack, pay us in gold and food to attack them, and then let us keep whatever valuables we wanted afterwards."
"And did he tell you why he only wanted specific locations attacked, while others were to be spared?"
The mage shook his head. "No, and we knew better than to ask questions given how good of a deal it was."
Kayla suddenly stepped forwards. "One of those towns was my village," she growled. "Your friends captured several people, including my father, and took them back to the northern isles."
The mage leaned in, squinting to get a better look at her, before finally shrugging. "I don't know anything about that."
"Liar," Pale hissed.
"It's the truth. I wasn't involved with the attack on any Beastkin town."
"Of course, you'd say that," Kayla said through gritted teeth. "You're worried about what will happen to you if you admit to us here and now that you had something to do with it."
"Don't know what else to tell you. I had nothing to do with the attack on you and yours, and I didn't take any Beastkin slaves."
"Enough of this," Pale snapped. "How long do we have to find her father?"
The bandit cracked a wide grin at her. "You're probably already too late. If the girl's father is anything like her, then he's already been deemed to be useless as a slave – too mouthy for his own good, and mouthy slaves don't last very long among my people."
A vein pulsed in Kayla's forehead as she clenched and unclenched her fists. "Answer the question," she demanded. "Assuming he isn't murdered before we can get there, how long do slaves typically last while with your people?"
"Depends on the slave. Men tend to last longer, provided they're young enough and in good health. Of course, he was taken in the first place, so I assume that someone saw some value in him, at least enough to want him for themselves. Now, that only accounts for a berserker warrior having a bad day and killing someone as a result. If he's unlucky, he'll succumb to the elements before long." The mage shrugged. "It wouldn't make any sense for us to spend all that time capturing and enslaving someone only to let them die so soon, unless they just so happened to be a massive pain in the ass."
"So you claim," Pale said dismissively. "What else do you have for us?"
"I've told you enough," the man grunted. "Now hurry up and let me go."
"And why would I do that?" Pale demanded. "So you can go back to robbing and killing the innocent? Is your life really worth the lives of the people you'd kill if we let you go?"
"It is to her." He motioned towards Kayla, who was staring at him and trembling as she bit her lip, deep in thought.
Pale's eyes narrowed. "Kayla."
Kayla jumped slightly at the sound of her name being called. She hesitated for a moment before letting out a sigh. "...You should let him go."
"You know I can't do that, Kayla. If we let him go, he'll just go right back to doing what brought him here. Either we end this here and now and prevent him from taking more innocent lives, or he goes on for however long it takes for someone else to put him down."
"I know!" Kayla spat. "It's just… I don't know what to do… I don't want to be responsible for someone's death like this…"
"I understand that, but this is war," Pale insisted. "Death is an unavoidable part of that."
"What do you mean, war?" Kayla asked, horrified at the prospects of what Pale had just suggested. "You… you really are a soldier, aren't you? That's why you're doing this – it's a chance to do what you were made to do…"
"War is in my nature," Pale insisted. "It is why I was created. You are correct that this is a chance to fulfill my prime directive, but not in the way that you think." She turned her gaze back towards the bandit. "I need to get off this planet and back into the war I left behind before it's too late to save my creators. If killing this man will get me there faster, then I will not hesitate to do that."
"But… you can't know that killing him will help with that," Kayla pointed out. "He's just one man…"
"Every second spent debating his existence is one not spent working towards my ultimate goal. I ask for your input on what to do with him because I value your opinion as my ally, and do not wish to alienate you by leaving you out of major decisions such as that, but that does not mean I will not try to make you see reason when I think you are about to make a terrible decision." Pale sheathed her knife and hefted her shotgun. "You are concerned with the loss of innocent life, yes? Well, letting me kill this man will save an untold number of them. Is his life really worth all of theirs?"
"You can't think of it that way! He's still a person, too!"
"He is," Pale agreed. "But as far as I am concerned, his right to life is now forfeit, as he used it to torture and murder other people."
The bandit suddenly burst out laughing. "Listen to you two! You're honestly debating whether or not to take a life. How quaint, not to mention innocent. Consider me entertained."
Pale bashed him with the stock of her gun once more, knocking a few more of his teeth out in the process. As he coughed on blood and bone shards, she turned back to Kayla.
"See reason in this," she implored. "Letting him live means-"
"I know!" Kayla interrupted. Her wolf ears flattened against her skull, and in a quieter voice, she repeated, "...I know."
Her tail lashed behind her, and finally, she shook her head. "...I was willing to fight for you," she said softly. "I tried to convince you that you weren't just a killing machine – that you had a sjel, and that it was worth something. And maybe I was right. But even if I was… even if you're not just a killing machine… you seem dead-set on trying to be one. And if that's what you want, then who am I to stop you? Do what you want with him, Pale; after all, it's what you were programmed to do."
Kayla turned and marched out of the cave. Pale watched her go, waiting until she was completely gone before acting.
A single gunshot split the night.

Special thanks to my good friend and co-writer, Ickbard for the help with writing this story.

2024.05.22 00:54 BlueHairedBitch81 Best Launcher for Foldables

So I used to customize my old slab phone all the time, but since upgrading to a foldable I find my options are limited since none of the launchers I've been using work as well when the phone is opened into tablet mode, mostly due to my homepages stretching out instead of sitting side by side. I've been wanting to start a new project, but don't know what launcher would work, if any. I currently have the Pixel Fold and am using the stock launcher, but it doesn't allow much creativity and I can only have 2-3 different app layout ratios. Thanks in advance ^

2024.05.22 00:31 hipriestess56 [QCrit] Adult LitFit - TERMS OF SERVICE (95k words/1st attempt)

Hi all, longtime listener, first-time caller. Please see my query and first 300 below.
My biggest question is this: 95% of the story takes place in 2014, but the book opens in 2020 when my main character receives a letter from the California Dept of Fair Housing & Employment informing her of an investigation into behavior at Chatpic. Receiving the letter spurs her to tell the story of what happened back then. The book checks back into 2020 in the middle as my MC tries to get more information about the investigation, and then it ends back in 2020 again when she decides what she wants to do about the letter.
The reason the story takes place in 2014 is because the time period--pre #MeToo/Donald Trump/the workplace reckoning of 2020--informs the decisions the MC makes back then, and she's looking back at it from a wiser perspective. If you've read The Rachel Incident, Caroline O'Donoghue does a similar thing as she retells a 2008 abortion story from the perspective of present day.
In the end, the investigation is not a driving force of the plot--so my question is how important is it that it's mentioned in the query? I ask because I've found that trying to add that piece to what I've already written starts to get convoluted, though obviously I can work at it. I think it's very clear once you read the first 300, but for agents who don't want a sample, is it clear in the blurb that this story is looking back to a time gone by?
Mostly looking for insight on this question specifically, but if you have further feedback about the letter for first 300, open to that as well. Thanks!

Dear [Agent],
Thank you for the opportunity to submit my query for TERMS OF SERVICE, a true-ish fictional story about a young woman in a nearly impossible workplace a la UNCANNY VALLEY meets THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA (with shades of 9 TO 5). TERMS OF SERVICE is complete at 95,000 words.
It’s 2014 and down-and-out celebrity blogger Maggie Clarke is desperate for a fresh start. Not only is she broke in New York City, but at 31, she thought she’d be writing something a little less embarrassing than Justin Bieber listicles by now. When her longtime internet friend Aron York–recently named the world’s youngest billionaire–offers her a lucrative position at his massively popular social media app Chatpic that puts her at the center of his inner circle in Los Angeles, it’s exactly the step-up she’s been waiting for. As Maggie learns to manage the always-on hours, the slew of acronyms, and the unlimited access to free cold brew, she encounters another more complicated problem–the boys’ club. Except this isn’t the typical ham-fisted sexism she’s used to–this is the tech bro variety: insidious, inexorable, and infuriating. When she meets an ambitious young reporter who encourages her to speak out, Maggie has a shot at revenge. But in a world before mansplaining and microaggressions, is blowing the whistle worth the risk? And is anyone ready to hear it?
Like Maggie, I was also plucked from internet obscurity by the world’s (then) youngest billionaire, [redacted], to come work at his massively popular social media app, [redacted company]. I was a founding member of the company’s content team, and all I have to show for it is six footnotes in the [redacted company] biography [redacted title] and the brutal feminist awakening that inspired me to write this manuscript. Before that, I was a full-time writer in New York whose work has appeared on MTV, Rolling Stone and Elle. Currently I’m a content and editorial consultant in Chicago, and I’m also on TikTok where 21,000 people watch me rant about work and office culture. (It’s also where 2M people enjoyed my show-and-tell video about the “sentimental” stock certificates [redacted company previously mentioned] gave a few early employees–that were worth exactly $0.00.)
As the agent who represents [Author 1] and [Author 2], you have a strong list when it comes to complex female characters embroiled in complicated social dynamics. TERMS OF SERVICE would be a great addition to this track because, while similar themes of class and workplace are explored, my flavor of levity and sarcasm makes my work distinct from [Author 1] and [Author 2], bringing a new facet to your program.
If you are interested in reading TERMS OF SERVICE, I would be happy to forward a sample of any length you suggest. Thank you for your consideration!

First 300:
Chapter 1
2020
A lot of people might revel in the idea of receiving a letter announcing an investigation into their ex-employer.
One might, for example, envision draping themselves in a mink stole, lighting the cigarette at the end of their old-timey cigarette holder, and dialing the investigator’s number from a rotary phone atop a solid wood desk under shadowy, film noir lights. One might then imagine whispering I knew this day would come into the receiver between bursts of psychotic, hysterical laughter as they rejoiced in the long overdue arrival of the long arm of the law.
But me, I wasn’t so sure. Maybe because I didn’t have a mink stole.
No, I was crouched on the ground of my parents’ musky basement in Des Plaines, Illinois, knee-deep in piles of old diaries and CDs when I received notice of one such letter. It was month four of COVID, and Dad and I were only halfway through his cleaning list. He was already a germaphobe so a global pandemic was all he needed to justify a top-to-bottom disinfection of the entire house. And since my routine trip home in the middle of March turned into a hapless extended stay when the world shut down, it was the perfect excuse to put me to work. Just like the good old days.
We wiped down every square inch of the place. We soaked the faucet heads in lemon juice, we scrubbed the coffee mugs with baking soda. We vacuumed the damn fridge.
Reorganizing the basement shelves was a beast. Every box was like a Russian nesting doll of useless crap: old TV Guides, corroded double-A batteries, dried-out cans of paint primer, an unsettling number of hand saws. I made decent headway through the “tools” and “electronics,” but I lost all steam when I got to my high school stuff—faded Polaroids and folded-up notes stopped me in my tracks.

2024.05.21 23:54 RJ_4_the_win Is the Lacquer finish worth the extra cost over standard paint?

Hi everyone
I'm interested in buying my first Brompton having a look at the options in a bike shop that stocks Brompton's in Dublin, I noticed they had two options for a 6 speed C line explore the first, which uses black paint is priced at €1800 and the one with the lacquer finish is priced at €2090 all being equal between the two which I presume to be the case is the lacquer worth the extra premium especially when you factor in that neither model listed below comes with a rear rack fitted as standard?
Lacquer addition
https://www.pennyfarthingcycles.com/bikes/folding-bikes/brompton-m6l-black-edition-black-lacquer-c-line__10903
Standard addition
https://www.pennyfarthingcycles.com/bikes/folding-bikes/brompton-m6l-black__9151
From my understanding, a lacquer finish adds a uniqueness to each bike as the way it is hand applied means that two bikes with the same finish are slightly different and this increases the value of the bike and may add extra value. If the bike is resold?
For some reason Brompton's website doesn't seem to play very well with my setup of Firefox, so forgive me for asking this here, but has there been any update to the C series since 2023, which both bike models listed above are from.

2024.05.21 23:33 1thymeonli Who is the one behind the calls buying?

My tin foil has somewhat melted into my head but I think I'm starting to see the kansas city shuffle folding into place.
The calls have been MILLIONS of dollars worth so far, and its only Tuesday. I love RK, but that kind of capital is a lot for any independent guy like him to come up with, especially considering the fees and costs he will have likely had to deal with in the past, and whatever restrictions may have been placed on him.
Who do we know that has MILLIONS on hand to invest, with an interest in the long term health and wellbeing of Gamestop as a company, but also a keen interest in the share price both long and short term. Ryan. Fucking. Cohen. And his access to the Gamestop war chest is his key to doing it.
The recent preliminary earnings noted a significant amount of cash on hand has moved, some have speculated an acquisition, but I am speculating that these will be in calls contracts for gamestop itself. Plus the fact these are a preliminary earnings report which we have not yet seen so far adds protections against insider trading allegations for GME insiders, and major point in my theory.
The calls are for June expiry, right around the time of the investors conference call, if these calls are exercised at $20/$25 a piece, this would mean there would be massive amounts of shares that would need to be purchased on the open market, with CAT in place by this time so a T+1 settlement and a stricter audit trail. But the cost of the exercising of the contracts could also be in the millions, maybe around say, $100 million dollars? Who the hell has that kind of scratch laying around...
So if price maintains and these calls are exercised, the buying pressure would be monumental to cover them, with each share costing whoever has to fulfil the contract more and more and more. Whoever is selling shares would make an awful lot of money, it would be quite lucky if you had a few tens of million shares to sell when the price is going up, what was that other form that Gamestop published not too long ago? The offering of being able to sell up to 45 million shares that had everyone losing their mind? A lot of wrinkled ones were able to conclude that this would allow GME to raise capital at what may be unusually high market rates. Which is completely true, since they have the greenlight to sell at short notice now it's been announced.
The whole discussion about calls in and around GME has been a topic of hot debate since even the before times. Some say they're good for adding buying pressure, some say they're traps for people who aren't so well versed and have a surplus of cash and a lack of sense, some have said they're only actually useful if they're exercised. Exercising calls costs money, the most expensive part is the exercise, money a lot of us simply have held in the stock we have so lovingly been HODLing and accumulating for the past few years. Investopdia has an article on calls and puts I'd recommend you check out to understand this process if you're not following
So when these contracts come to be exercised, the buying pressure will raise the underlying stock price, but whoever holds the contract will get them for $20/$25 regardless. No matter how high it might run, the casino pays out on 20. Wait, didn't I see a casino paying out on 20 in a movie once? Can anyone remind me of that name?
As the price climbs since MMs will need to pull more and more shares out of an already diminished pool, i know a certain subreddit that owns, and i mean, OWNS, 25% of them, the market rate for these will soar, and what do you think will happen when a few more shares become available? They'll be snatched out of whichever hand is offering them and replaced with a massive wad of liquid cash, however massive the seller decides.
These shares will then be lovingly gifted right back into the hands of gamestop for $20/$25 a pop, who may, or may not, choose to sell them again, or may just decide to keep hold of them for a while and see how they feel resting in the back pocket.
If my tinfoil is screwed on right, gamestop may be selling their own shares at climbing prices, to satisfy their own $20/$25 strike options contracts. Leaving them with both shares, and cash in the pocket, and if gamestop finds itself in possession of 75% or more of these shares from circulation, it will have a duty to shareholders to initiate a share recall with the powers that be and force all shorts to close since that will be evidence of synthetic share circulation
With RC having control of the capital for whatever he so chooses, CAT landing, RK popping back up in a cryptic manner on twitter, all the pieces are revealing themselves to my minds eye
I may just be tired, and I am for certain highly regarded, but what if I'm right. I'm sure the first comment will tell me how wrong I am, but a man can dream can't he?

2024.05.21 23:06 BENZEMAzzz Proving FFIE’s True Worth: A $10 Valuation Through USA Tariff Strategy

INTRO

This article is to demonstrate why, under the current U.S. electric vehicle tariff policies, FFIE’s stock price is significantly undervalued and is poised to rise to at least $10. This analysis will explore the impact of tariffs on the market, FFIE’s competitive positioning, and the economic factors that support a substantial increase in its valuation.

HOW MUCH DOES FFIE CAN MAKE?

To calculate the cost savings for Faraday Future (FFIE) when assembling vehicles in the U.S. compared to directly importing them from China, we need to compare the total costs of both scenarios:

Scenario 1: Directly Importing the Complete Vehicle from China

Assuming the cost of the complete vehicle is $40,000, and with 100% tariff on imported electric vehicles:
Total cost for importing the complete vehicle: $80,000

Scenario 2: Importing Parts from China and Assembling in the U.S.

Assuming the cost of major parts (e.g., battery, motor, body frame) is $20,000, with an assembly cost in the U.S. of $5,000. Import tariffs on these parts are also assumed to be 25%.
Total cost for importing parts and assembling in the U.S.: [ 20,000 \, \text{USD} + 5,000 \, \text{USD} + 5,000 \, \text{USD} = 30,000 \, \text{USD} ]

Cost Comparison

Cost Savings with FFIE

Cost savings by assembling in the U.S. = $50,000

Conclusion

By assembling vehicles in the U.S. instead of directly importing complete vehicles from China, Faraday Future could save approximately $80,000 per vehicle. This significant cost reduction is primarily due to avoiding the high tariffs on complete vehicles and benefiting from lower tariffs on parts, along with local assembly costs.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN FFIE MAKE?

China and US Passenger Car Sales and EV Market Share in 2023

China

In 2023, China's new energy vehicle (NEV) market saw remarkable growth. The total sales of NEVs, including battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), reached approximately 8 million units. This represented a 37% market share of the total passenger car market in China. BEVs alone accounted for about 25% of the total new car registrations oai_citation:1,26% BEV Share In China! — China EV Sales Report - CleanTechnica oai_citation:2,China EV Sales Defy Subsidy Cuts, Maintain Strong Growth in Q1 2023 - Counterpoint.

United States

In the United States, electric vehicle sales also experienced significant growth in 2023. Over the year, approximately 1.5 million electric cars were sold, making up around 12% of the total passenger car market oai_citation:3,Trends in electric light-duty vehicles – Global EV Outlook 2023 – Analysis - IEA.

Summary

Based on the latest forecasts, U.S. passenger car sales in 2024 are expected to reach approximately 15.7 million units oai_citation:1,S&P Global Mobility forecasts 88.3M auto sales in 2024 S&P Global oai_citation:2,Forecast: 2024 - Cox Automotive Inc.. If we assume that the share of electric vehicles (EVs) in the U.S. market reaches 37%, similar to China's EV market share in 2023, we can estimate the potential number of EVs sold in the U.S. in 2024.

Calculation

[ 15.7 \, \text{million} \times 0.37 = 5.809 \, \text{million} ]
Therefore, if the U.S. achieves an EV market share similar to China's current level, approximately 5.81 million electric vehicles could be sold in the U.S. in 2024. This projection highlights the potential for significant growth in the U.S. EV market if trends similar to those in China are followed.
In 2023, Tesla held a notable position in China's new energy vehicle (NEV) market. Throughout the year, Tesla's market share in China's NEV sector was around 7.5% overall oai_citation:1,BYD took control of the 2023 Chinese EV market. Specifically, in September 2023, Tesla's market share was reported to be 5.8% oai_citation:2,China NEV market share in Sept: BYD 34.5%, Tesla 5.8%, Nio 2.1% - CnEVPost. Despite facing intense competition from local manufacturers like BYD, Tesla has managed to maintain a strong presence, reflecting its significant role in the Chinese electric vehicle market oai_citation:3,BYD took control of the 2023 Chinese EV market oai_citation:4,China NEV market share in Sept: BYD 34.5%, Tesla 5.8%, Nio 2.1% - CnEVPost.

SUMMARY

To calculate the potential savings for Faraday Future (FFIE) assuming that all the additional electric vehicles (EVs) sold in the U.S. in 2024 are Chinese-made EVs, we can follow these steps:

1. Determine the number of additional EVs sold in the U.S. in 2024

Based on previous calculations, if the U.S. follows China’s EV market share of 37%, the projected EV sales in 2024 would be:
[ 15.7 \, \text{million} \times 0.37 = 5.81 \, \text{million EVs} ]

2. Calculate the cost savings per vehicle

Assuming each vehicle assembled in the U.S. instead of imported directly from China saves $50,000 in tariffs and associated costs.

3. Compute total savings for FFIE

Total savings = Number of vehicles (\times) Savings per vehicle
[ 5.81 \, \text{million EVs} \times 50,000 \, \text{USD/vehicle} = 290.5 \, \text{billion USD} ]

Conclusion

By assembling the vehicles in the U.S., Faraday Future (FFIE) could potentially save approximately $290.5 billion in 2024 if all the additional EVs sold in the U.S. are Chinese-made and each vehicle saves $50,000.
This calculation is based on the assumption that all additional EV sales are handled by FFIE, which represents a hypothetical scenario. In reality, the savings would depend on FFIE's actual market share and the proportion of vehicles they manage to produce and sell in the U.S.

WHY FFIE $10

To estimate the market capitalization of Faraday Future (FFIE) based on the potential savings from assembling electric vehicles in the U.S., we need to make several assumptions and calculations.
Assumptions and Calculations:
1. Potential Savings: • Total potential savings: $290.5 billion (from the previous calculation) 2. Impact on Market Capitalization:
Market capitalization is influenced by many factors, including current revenue, profit margins, growth prospects, and investor sentiment. For a direct calculation, we can assume that the market might value these savings as additional potential revenue or profit. 3. Current Market Capitalization: • As of the latest available data, let’s assume FFIE’s current market capitalization is around $1 billion (this value should be checked for the most accurate and recent data). 4. Valuation Multiplier: Typically, market capitalization is a multiple of annual revenue or profit. For simplicity, let’s assume the market values the company at a price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of 2. This is a conservative estimate for a high-growth tech company but provides a reasonable basis for our calculation.
Calculation:
• New Revenue from Savings: $290.5 billion • Total Projected Revenue: Current revenue (assumed negligible for simplicity) + Savings = $290.5 billion • Market Capitalization: Total projected revenue \times P/S ratio
290.5 \, \text{billion USD} \times 2 = 581 \, \text{billion USD}
Conclusion:
If Faraday Future (FFIE) could achieve the hypothetical scenario of saving $290.5 billion by assembling all additional EVs sold in the U.S. in 2024 domestically, and the market values this new revenue with a price-to-sales ratio of 2, the company’s market capitalization could potentially be around $581 billion(NOW FFIE is $59 billion).

CHINESE E-CAR MARKET

What is happening now?

China's electric vehicle (EV) market is highly competitive, with leading new energy vehicle (NEV) companies vying for dominance across various price segments. Currently, major players are fiercely competing in three key categories:
  1. Sedans around 200,000 RMB (approximately 30,000 USD): For example, Xiaomi's SU7, which has quickly gained significant market share, offers high driving range and advanced features at competitive prices, forcing other manufacturers to adjust their pricing strategies to remain competitive oai_citation:1,Xiaomi’s maiden EV, selling at a loss, turbocharges price war forcing China’s small players out of business South China Morning Post.
  2. Family SUVs priced at around 300,000 RMB (approximately 40,000 USD): Companies like Li Auto and Xpeng are prominent in this segment. Li Auto's models, such as the Li L9 and Li L8, are known for their high-tech features, extended range capabilities, and strong sales growth oai_citation:2,Investors Overview Li Auto Inc. oai_citation:3,Li Auto’s NEV Sales Jump Over Six-Fold in April to Surpass Nio, Xpeng; BYD Remains Top Seller.
  3. MPVs around 450,000 RMB (approximately 65,000 USD): The battle in this segment includes models like the Li Auto MEGA and the Xpeng X9. These vehicles offer impressive real-world range and advanced charging capabilities, demonstrating the technological advancements and competitive edge of Chinese automakers in the NEV market oai_citation:4,Battle of the electric MPVs in Hainan: Li Auto MEGA and XPeng X9.
These vehicles are not only characterized by superior driving experiences and intelligent in-car systems but also by high safety standards and long-range batteries. The intense competition and continuous innovation in the Chinese EV market are driving the development of increasingly advanced and consumer-friendly electric vehicles.
Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) hold a significant advantage in both pricing and user experience compared to all other EVs worldwide. The competitive pricing is due to robust manufacturing capabilities, government subsidies, and economies of scale. Additionally, Chinese EVs are known for their advanced technology, superior battery life, and comprehensive in-car intelligence systems. As a result, Chinese EV manufacturers are eagerly looking to expand into international markets, ready to offer their competitive products globally and meet the rising demand for high-quality, affordable electric vehicles.

A lot of people are discouraged by the lack of price action and volume. Stop it. The play is waiting and holding this stock above 1$. That’s it. The hedge funds want our short attention ape brains to fold out of boredom. You’re soft if you thought this was a bad day.

2024.05.21 20:32 Radioactive52 The Radson XL, The Last Secondary You Will EVER Need!

The Radson XL, The Last Secondary You Will EVER Need!
Today is the release date of my most ambitious project yet! The Radson XL! This blaster is a hammer-prime powerhouse, sporting the largest diameter plunger tube of any production blaster in the hobby. The Radson XL has a plunger volume comparable to that of an Orion Blasters Lynx, in a package not much bigger than a Nerf Hammershot, and it uses that volume to great effect with its 2.75" K25 spring. In its Stock Configuration, the Radson XL can achieve very strong numbers with its THREE different barrel types; 75fps with a Single Mega XL Dart, upwards of 60fps with a Triple Shotgun blast of Mega darts, and Elite-par average performance firing six Half Darts from six individual inline clips, stacked 3 darts deep. That means a 6 dart shotgun blast THREE times without needing to reload, using Inline Clip technology!
Now, I know you're probably thinking, "STOCK Configuration? There are other configurations?" The answer to that would be YES! The Stock Configuration is the basic configuration that tries to strike the perfect balance between power, and ease of prime. There is also an option for a CUSTOM Configuration. The Custom Configuration option is for when you want more power, or need to power down to fit into an FPS cap, or to make your blaster easier to prime if you can't handle the power. I've tuned the Radson XL as high as 60fps on a 788 spring, as low as 69fps average on a K25 (to fit into Survival Fest's MXL FPS cap), and as high as 90fps on a K25. Now, I wouldn't recommend a Custom Configuration with the 6x3 Half Dart Inline Clip Shotgun barrel, as Inline Clips are pretty sensitive to power changes. Shotguns doubly so.
Colors! DM me prior to purchase to figure out your color configuration! If you buy a blaster, and do not message me or respond to my messages, you will recieve a random color set! I have a plethora of available color options, all in PLA filament! Pink, Yellow, Neon Green, MXL Blue, Mega Red, Elite Blue, Orange, Purple, Sea Green, Black, White, Gray. Note, all Orange seen on the MXL and Triple Mega blasters is standard and non-negotiable for safety reasons. Barrel, Trigger, Hammer assembly, and plunger head assembly will be Orange on all examples of this blaster, unless something changes in the future.
Availability: ONLY 5 blaster orders will be open at any given time, to prevent myself from being overwhelmed with orders. I'm only 1 man.
Licenses, Royalties, and Agreements: The base variant of the Radson XL is the Samson XL, which was designed by Ruppernutter. I pay a royalty to Ruppernutter for each blaster sold. BuilderBB designed some items for the Samson, and I am licensed to use those parts in these builds. In an abundance of caution, I have also gotten Captain Slug's blessing, as the Radson XL is a derivative of an upgrade of a derivative of his blaster, The YEHW.

2024.05.21 18:57 brandonmcgritle I’m very excited like everyone else about this stock, but be sure to manage your expectations

Look, I completely get why people are excited about KULR. Watching and talking about this stock day to day gets me just as amped for the future like any other person who is in this subreddit.
But I’d like to remind people that this stock isn’t going to skyrocket over-night. They just paid off their debt and are currently building their market value with the contracts they have signed with notable companies (some with NDAs).
The intrinsic value of this company IS there, and it is 100% undervalued, but remember that it is going to take time for them to make the net-revenues/profits we’d want to see for the stock price to skyrocket. 🚀
Instead of freaking out over the daily price fluctuations, try and look at this stock as a long-term investment. The CEO Michael Mo said it himself that by 2030 this is going to be around a 7 billion dollar industry. Have patience and it will pay off 1000-fold.

2024.05.21 18:11 Tiny-Studio-2485 Phantasma Riven mod

Phantasma Riven mod
Well I love Phantasma and have been playing a lot with it, I have tried a couple of different setting and this one is the most comfortable so far. I did had vigilant Armament ( the one that gives multishot ) instead of the riven before. Ended up coming across a riven for the Phantasma and after a few rolls I ended up with this one. I feel it’s fairly good and gives good stats after I implement it. But i don’t know if it would be worthy to keep investing kuva for a maybe better roll or this is actually great ? Thank you for you time:) I welcome any other suggestions you might have about my build. Also I’m don’t have plat for the primed mods yet but I’ll get there.
