I've been running a blast to bulk for the past seven weeks now but for whatever reason I am just unable to eat enough to put any size on. I'm planning to go to the doctors about it because it's been an ongoing issue just exacerbated recently.
Should I just switch from a bulk to a cut, and leverage this massive loss of appetite to help me drop fat instead? I am currently running 750mg 400 mg mast and 4iu HGH, if I am going to switch to a cut is it worth altering any of these doses?

I am training to compete (I do kickboxing, I am 25, 1.80 meters tall, and weigh 86 kg). My physical performance after the COVID vaccine (Sputnik, 2 doses) has been terrible. I lost my morning erections, have "chronic" fatigue, my libido is very low, and nothing seems to help. I was like this for a long time, and recently I decided to solve this problem.
I have been seeing a sports doctor, who prescribed creatine before my workouts and also "Second Shift," which is a supplement from Star Nutrition. I also went to a urologist and was diagnosed with varicocele. According to the urologist, it should not affect my sexual performance or testosterone production.

Regarding all of this, he suggested I undergo testosterone injection therapy via intramuscular injection. I asked him if this is risky because I understand that once you inject or take a dose of testosterone, one of the problems is that your testicles stop producing it.

| Grüße, ich war kürzlich zur amtsärztlichen Untersuchung (Verbeamtung auf Lebenszeit). Hierbei wurde mir auch Blut abgenommen. Anbei die Ergebnisse. Ich mache nun seit 2 1/2 Monaten Sport (2-4x die Woche Ruderergometer, 30-40 Minuten + 5-10 Minuten Hanteltraining). 32 Jahre, 183cm, 82 kg. Nun kamen mir zwei Fragen auf: - Warum wurde das Cholesterin nicht gemessen? Wäre das nicht wichtig (zum Beispiel Metabolisches Syndrom)?
- Einige Werte sind im Grenzbereich. Wo wäre hier noch Verbesserungspotential?
Dazu: Die Blutabnahme war nicht nüchtern, 2 Bananen und einen Proteinpudding circa eine Stunde davor. Ich bin Vegetarier und war rund 2 1/2 Wochen davor zur Vollblutspende. Mir geht es vor allem um gesundheitliche Aspekte, Fitness an sich ist aber auch durchaus interessant. opa, tô meio em dúvida em como gastar meu dinheiro, eu tava querendo comprar uma outra guitarra (Tagima tw-61), mas falaram que talvez não seja a melhor ideia já que eu já tenho uma guitarra (uma Memphis MG-30 creme) que apesar de eu achar muito bonita e tem um som ótimo tmb, não combina com o que eu escuto e gosto de tocar, a outra opção é comprar um pedal (provavelmente de wah wah), só que daí eu precisaria comprar mais a fonte e o cabo pra conectar no pedal que eu já tenho, que pelas contar que eu fiz ficaria uns 400 reais, que é um terço do preço da guitarra, qual seria a melhor opção? ou só guardar e não gastar?

Decided to try it for my anhedonia- both emotional and sexual. Zero positive emotion, lots of anxiety and stress. Zero motivation to do anything, no sex drive, no erections even with viagra and cialis. Had to fake smiling and fake a sense of humor. Likely cause:
Age 16-31, severe stimulant abuse 1) 1500 mg plus per day of caffeine 2) high use of preworkouts containing DMAA for 2-3 years 3) pseudoephedrine use- 50-100 mg per day for weeks on end every year 4) a three year long addiction to adderall, often as much as 120-150 mg a day for days at a time 5) 3-6 benzedrex inhalers a day for weeks.
Also severe synthetic THC product abuse at age 30-31. I was going through a looper XL vape pen every 7-10 days.
This ultimately lead to a manic/ schizo breakdown and 8 day psych ward stay. I promptly threw the antipsychotics out once I left the ward and was schizo for about 4 months. Thought everybody was An Angel or demon and that God/ Satan were talking to me in my head. Ultimately came out of that after four months, at which point I became so depressed, I was suicidal for two months before trying 9-me. I also did two weeks of BPC-157 prior to that with no noticeable changes. 400 mcg a day if I recall correctly.
Day 1-2. I noticed a slight improvement in my mood. Still completely “blah” but slightly more neutral “blah” instead of “blah, I want to ki** myself.” Surpisingly, I messed up on dosing and only took 1.5 mg instead of 15 for these two days. I was shocked that such a small dose had a noticeable impact but I was in a VERY bad place.
After feeling something positive and realizing how powerful this stuff is, I moved up to 5 mg per day instead of my intended 15. I noticed: Desire for suicide was gone within a week. Less negative thoughts, less anxiety, more energy (but not an amphetamine like energy), slightly more motivation (still not great though). I noticed less general fatigue and sleepiness. Less joint pain (strange), more restful sleep, more nocturnal erections (never ever had them unless lots of viagra or cialis in my system), and more vivid dreams.
I eventually worked up to 30 mg a day for 2-3 weeks. I feel like a readonably functioning human being again. I’m not talking to any women right now to be able to properly monitor my libido but I would encourage people to try it for porn-induced ED.
After 30 days of using 9-me, I’ve been tapering down. Back to 1 mg a day now and my overall mood and demeanor is still doing so much better. Do I feel completely normal? Not entirely. Do I feel like I have the libido of a teen again? Not really. Do I magically get hyped from an energy drink like when I first tried one? No. I did not notice any increased stimulant sensitivity. I also didn’t notice increased skin sensitivity but I’m a ginger so I’m already sensitive.
I’m not 100 percent mentally but I feel like it’s simply a matter of time and maybe one more 9-me-bc cycle. If you are on your last straw with life, please give this stuff a try before you do anything permanent.

So what quit caffeine about a month ago due to overwhelming anxiety that put me in the emergency room. I was at almost 400 mg a day and decided to go cold turkey after ER visit. Unfortunately I get intrusive thoughts every once in a while among other things. Most of which I’ve gotten past in the last week or so but definitely not through the woods. My wife is 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I’m worried that these depressive episodes/intrusive thoughts will mess with my ability to care and love for my newborn child soon to arrive. I have diet cokes from my baby shower and they around 30 mg of caffeine. My thought is that when I get these intrusive thoughts that I drink one of these just to get me past these episodes. Kind of like weening off but just to get me past these issues for now. This whole thing has been wildly confusing to me and I never knew caffeine was going to cause this kind of issue. Especially right before the birth of my first child.

This is my second cycle and devastated to hear that out of the 20 mature eggs, only 8 fertilized with ICSI. Looking for some advice on how to get better results. Here are the details.
Me: 40 (39 during 1st cycle) 2.1 AMH. Partner 37. His sperm analysis looked fine except a few things borderline: morphology 5%, DNA fragmentation 16%.
First cycle: 14 eggs retrieved, 11 mature, no ICSI and only 4 fertilized on time and 3 late, 5 day 5 blasts, only 1 euploid (from one of the on-time fertilized).
Because the fertilization rate was so low, RE recommended doing ICSI for round 2. And I got serious about my diet. Stopped drinking completely, cut out skincare that might be endocrine disruptors. My RE had already given me a supplement list that: 600 mg of ubiquinol, 200 mg of selenium, 50 mg of DHEA, 2000 IU vitamin D. Took 3 mg of melatonin during the stims and used a near infrared light machine on my belly for 20 mins during the stims (just throwing the kitchen sink).
Partner: cut back drinking (from 30+ units of alcohol to 7/wk and then 1 month before to non-alcoholic beer only), did not smoke (was a smoker from 12 to about 30 yrs old and then smoked socially once in a while), took 400 ubiquinol and 2000 IU vitamin D daily. Abstained for 36 hours before providing live sperm.
Round 2: 22 eggs retrieved (imagine how happy I was), 20 were mature, but only 8 fertilized with ICSI!
RE suspects the sperm is the issue. But could it be oocyte activation? I am 40 after all. Any and all advice would be welcome. Thank you all so much and best of luck on your journeys.
Edit: no history of PCOS, endometriosis etc. We are both normal BMI and I never tried to conceive naturally before. We went into this to freeze embryos to start a family a few years down the road.

You can quickly notice when someone lacks sleep, often seen in their face and skin.

While sleep might not be your first thought for skincare (or looksmaxxing), it's crucial for skin health (mental and general health too).

What's the answer? Sleep.
.
Here are the tips that will help you:

- the circadian rhythm
- increase testosterone
- renew and repair skin

These are mostly from the YouTube episode of Huberman (@hubermanlab), a neuroscientist and podcaster.

Let's dive in.
.
a / Get sunlight exposure .
Sunlight helps regulate your body clock.
.
Light also increases your cortisol levels that provides a wake-up signal and sets in motion a timer for you to fall asleep that night.
.
When's the right time to get sun and how long?
.
Get outside within 30 - 60 minutes of walking up for at least 5 -15 minutes, natural light exposure for at sunrise.
.
Repeat at sunset.
.
b / Consider incorporating early morning exercise into your routine. .
It can assist in aligning your body's internal clock and making it easier to wake up early.
.
c / Avoid eating meals close to bedtime. .
Ideally, give yourself at least 2 hours between your last meal and sleep to enhance sleep quality.

d / Dim the lights. .
Turn your home into a bat cave in the evening between 10 pm to 4 am to signal to your body that it's time to wind down.

Avoid using artificial lights in the evening.

Use just enough light to go to the bathroom at night using a dim, red-shifted light close to the floor.

Candlelights do not disrupt the body clock but be careful in leaving that up while you are asleep. (patay ka)

e / Cut the caffeine .
Adenosine molecules found in your body increases as you stay up awake longer.

It tells your body to sleep if in large amounts.
.
Caffeine occupies the adenosine receptors and prevents adenosine from communicating its sleepiness signal.

Caffeine tricks the brain into feeling alert and awake.
.
Avoid it close to bed time or at the least 8 hours before sleep (or after 3 pm).

f / Avoid long daytime naps .
If you need to nap during the day, keep it brief - no more than 90 minutes - or consider skipping naps altogether to maintain the quality of your nighttime sleep.

g / Supplement .
Huberman recommends caution with supplements, in general.

If you have been changing the behavioral factors in order to sleep and nothing happened, maybe you should take one of the options:

300 - 400 mg of Magnesium Threonate, 30 - 60 minutes before sleep.

Other supplements that Huberman discussed include:

100 - 200 mg of Theanine, 60 minutes before bed.
.
Apigenine 50 mg
.
Glycine 2 g, every 3rd or 4th night

GABA 100 mg, every 3rd or 4th night
.
In taking supplements to help you sleep, visit and consult with your doctor first as these supplements can cause vivid dreams and excess sleepiness for some people.

h / Don't take melatonin for sleep. .
While melatonin can aid in falling asleep, commercial products often contain higher dosages than what your body naturally produces, which may impact other hormone systems like your testosterone.

i / Take hot showers. .
Do hot showers for less than 20 -30 minutes.

There will be a compensatory cooling off of your core body temperature by 1 -3 degrees thus enhancing sleep.

j / Drop the room temperature down. .
Optimize your sleep environment by keeping the room temperature slightly cooler.

This can be contribute to more restful sleep, especially tailored for men's preferences.

2024.05.20 21:38 Typical_Guava_6145 If I could rave more about 72-96 hour Rolling Fasts, I would
I’m a 45 yo male 5’10” and weighed 229 on May 5th when my rolling fast journey began.
Currently on Day 15, 64 hours into a 93 hr fast I’ll break tomorrow evening with a beautiful dinner, weight is 208, down 21 lbs, with expectations of losing a total of 23 lbs by tomorrow, Day 16, when the fast is broken for 4-6 hours.
Thus far, I’ve rolled for 95, 39, 67 & 88 hrs prior to current 93 hr fast.
My refeed meal for 3-4 day fasts has been 3000-3400 calories, and tomorrow’s refeed will be 2700 calories (plan to eat 2500-3000 for next few weeks, then 2250-2500, then 2000-2250, OMAD is 2000)
Refeeds alternate between meat & nuts keto (5g net carbs) and salad-based with veggies, meat, beans, seeds & small serving of sweet potatoes with same calories, net carbs 100-130g, with future salad meals trialing 80 & 60g net carbs
3-4 day rolling fasts are superior to 8-12 day extended fasts **for me personally** due to the following reasons:
Feel about the same as I usually do on OMAD, except mentally sharper with better mood, lower anxiety and less hunger
I experience no dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness (occasionally even with full recommended electrolytes and good hydration, on 8-12 day extended fasts I have bouts of general malaise and/or leg weakness)
There has been no dry mouth, even though I’ve ranged from mild ketosis to moderate to deep ketosis - extended fast keto mouth is pretty severe, drinking the same amount of water, around 150 ounces
My need for electrolytes is a lot lower, I take none on the day of the refeed and the day afterwards, and about 2/5-1/2 the electrolytes I take on extended fasts in the middle day/s, except for Magnesium (still take 400 mg)
I have no stress about how long I’m going to go before I break a fast, the duration is predetermined and I’ve had no difficulty fasting for 3-4 days with a large feast at the end
My hunger levels have been very similar to how I feel during extended fasts, registering a 1-3 on a scale of 1-10, from nonexistent to mild hunger - I have yet to experience moderate hunger.
Refeeds are not limited to a small amount of food, I can eat as much as I need or want to power me through the next fast, and after having some loose stool the 1st time I broke a 72 hr fast, I haven’t had any additional problems in that arena - I eat slowly, drink a lot of water and stop when my stomach is 90%-95% full, rest for an hour or so until fullness drops down to 60%-70%, and then start eating again, repeating this process 3-4 times until the feast is finished.
Whenever I’ve broken an 8-12 day extended fast, it’s taken me 1-2 weeks to feel back to normal again, and I wouldn’t contemplate doing another one for at least 1 month, usually 6-8 weeks.
On the contrary, with rolling fasts, the vast amount of nutrition I’m receiving every 3-4 days is making up for the lack of nutrition received during the fasting periods, and I don’t feel like I need any time to recover to feel fully restored.
Overall, I find 3-4 day rolling fasts much more comfortable, sustainable for longer periods and just plain easier than 8-12 day extended fasts, and the weight loss has been identical thru 12 days.
As far as my future plans, I’m going to keep rolling until I reach my goal weight of 160 pounds, unless conditions change and it starts to feel more similar to an extended fast.
Moving forward, the minimum fast will be 96 hrs and I’ll add in 120 hr fasts, since I haven’t struggled with 96 hrs
May 5: 229 lbs
May 20: 208 lbs
July 23: 160 lbs
69 lbs in 80 days per the model (accurate so far), we’ll find out if it needs to be adjusted over next few weeks
If you haven’t tried rolling fasts, it’s worth your while.
For some, extended fasts will remain preferable, but unless you’ve given rolling fasts a whirl, and many extended fasters have not, there’s no way to fairly compare the two styles.
Rolling fasts looked really intimidating to me, I figured they might be even more difficult than a single extended fast, they looked more “extreme,” but once you look at how long rolling fasters can roll, often for 2-3 months at a time while “living my best life,” and the weight losses are very impressive with no need to take time off and recover between fasts, you realize they must be easier than extended fasting, though some people are able to do those for a few months, too.
Does extended fasting have any advantages to rolling fasts?
YES
Longer duration autophagy, better for healing chronic injuries & medical issues, possibly better for loose skin, though 4-day rolling fasts are no slouch in these departments, either.
I’ll still do extended fasts, too, for the cellular rejuvenation, a few times per year
The bottom line is that trying both extended and rolling fasts should be more of a standard fasting protocol
I personally regret not experimenting with rolling fasts sooner (extended faster for 4 years)
