2024.05.21 19:49 syntaxofthings123 Evidence Matters

Recently there was a true crime episode on the murder of Colleen Slemmer by her Jobs Corp classmates Christa Pike, Pike's boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp and another friend. It was a spontaneous, gruesome murder, that took place in the woods of Tennessee.
Slemmer, was lured out under false pretenses of smoking weed in a nearby park with who she thought were her friends. She was murdered, left partially unclothed, her upper body completely exposed. And though the primary motive wasn't a ritualistic sacrifice, in the course of the attack a Satanic star or pentagram was carved into the victim's chest.
Though the satanic piece to the crime was an afterthought by the killers, it did link the crime to two of them, as Christa Pike and her boyfriend, Shipp, practiced Satanic Worship. The murder was motivated by jealousy and rage, but even so, the symbolism left behind, might have solved the crime on its own.
There might be parallels to be found between a crime like the Slemmer murder, and what happened in Delphi.
The Delphi murders don't have to have been motivated primarily by a sacrificial ritual for the symbolism of such a ritual left at the crime scene, to lead to the killer or killers of Abby and Libby.
Coincidences do occur. Correlation does not necessarily imply causation. But when there is evidence that keeps pointing to a particular group of people, some of whom had a direct connection to one of the victims, I do not understand how this evidence is not followed up on to the fullest extent that the law allows. How is it just cast aside, especially when three respected investigators who performed their own investigation are convinced there is something there? Referring to Click, Ferency and Murphy.
Even if the killing of Abby and Libby was initially motivated by something other than a sacrifice, the mark of their killers at the scene, almost certainly will lead back to who did this. The crime scene was too distinctive and unique for it not to. All persons are innocent until proven guilty, and that's important to factor in. But even if innocent, there certainly appears to be some connection between certain individuals practicing Odinism and hanging out at Delphi Vinlander club, and the Delphi murders---evidence connecting them to these murders that might actually solve this case.
Here is the list of evidence that has still not been turned over to the defense, even though this case was scheduled to be in trial as this is written (from 2nd Motion to Dismiss).
Why?

2024.04.29 13:49 No-Software229 My mom was denied power of attorney for my severely schizophrenic sibling

My older sibling(24F) has been in jail for nearly 2 years due to an incident caused by her schizophrenia. Before going to trial, she was deemed “mentally incompetent” and was later sentenced to 2 years in the states psychiatric facility. Unfortunately there’s been a mental health crisis going on for quite some time, so she’ll still be in the jail until the psych facility has room for her.
My mom had applied for power of attorney multiple times, both before and after my sister had been sent to jail (my mom was denied every time). It’s made the entire situation so much more difficult and confusing with every step. Since she is an adult, we are not allowed any information or updates on her outside of what was discussed during trial. We weren’t even able to visit her until about week ago because all the names on her visitation list were either completely made up or names of celebrities.
The visitation went terribly. The jail she’s in does it through a video call essentially and when she showed up on the screen she was in her cell unclothed and completely out of touch with reality. She was very aggravated;she cussed us all (was looking back cussing and acting like she was gonna fight someone behind her who was literally not there), insisted we were not her real family, and was convinced that we were trying to trick her. We ended up just speaking to the guard who told us she had been refusing all meds and that the behavior she displayed to us was her current every day state.
It’s hard to explain the full extent of the situation, so I hope it wasn’t too hard to read. My family is just at a loss here. None of us have any clue how to navigate this situation, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

2024.04.17 21:51 Beewa115 Boyfriend chose playing a video game over me.

A couple nights ago, I thought I would surprise my boyfriend by wearing lingerie. He was playing a video game when I came up and tapped his shoulder. He looked at me and said, “I’m in a tournament right now.” He kept playing the game and told me it was my fault for coming to him during a tournament. I feel unwanted, unimportant, and ugly. He thinks I’m overreacting when I told him how it made me feel. Am I overreacting? My self esteem has tanked to the point where I don’t even want to be unclothed around him.
Clarification: we never have sex, I was just trying to spice things up. I never turn him down. I’ll take it when I can get it!
EDIT: Thanks for everyone sharing their perspective and letting me know that I’m overreacting. That puts my mind at ease

Hello all Recently a friend and I were moving his old pc into a new case and replace the PSU since it didn't fit the new case. After getting everything plugged in nothing got power, we then unclothed everything and took everything out and out it all back in and still nothing. We noticed that once it's plugged in and gets power, the PSU starts beeping. Does this mean the PSU is bad? Could it be something else? I have a video of it beeping if anyone needs to see it

N.P.S-Missing_Persons
(Rowan), (January) (24), (2023)

Background/Origin

When dealing with mysterious deaths and disappearances, a sense of melancholy & frustration are often felt. It cannot be understated how often the friends, family, and searchers of the disappeared are left in limbo. When all efforts to find the missing are fruitless, any sense of control or certainty also fades. While tragic in their own right, people vanishing without a trace or dying under suspect circumstances are all too familiar. If only the smallest clues would present themselves, can any sense of relief, no matter how brief, be felt, and perhaps could lead to closure? But what happens when the clues are abundant, yet lead to no answers? What happens when seemingly smoking guns are dismissed by investigators? Such is the unfortunate fate of Frederick “Fred” R. (Riley) Lee of Buckland, Alaska.

Background & Incident Report:

Working as a Heavy machine operator, a miner at Red Dog mine, and a volleyball coach. Fred Lee, very much a family man, Fred was a provider for his wife Nancy Stalker Lee, and their four children. “He cherished his children and his wife so much,” said Bessie Hadley, his younger sister. “He took care of my mom, also.”
On June 11th, He and his wife flew from Buckland to Anchorage for the funeral of Fred’s brother, William Lee. Dissatisfied and uncomfortable with their accommodations at the Spenard Motel, they changed reservations to the nearby Chelsea Inn, to spend the remaining time in a more comfortable location. The couple had arranged to board a flight back to Buckland at 9 am on June 14th. At 4 am that morning, Fred and Nancy decided to split up. Nancy got a taxi to retrieve her lost phone from an uncle’s house. Fred had packed his backpack and decided to head to the DMV on foot, in hopes to renew his expired ID before the Flight. Sometime around 6 am, Fred was spotted asking for directions at the Holiday gas station on Spenard road. Unfortunately, this is the last confirmed sighting of Fred alive. When Fred missed the check-in for his flight, Nancy and the family became concerned and started canvassing the area.
The next day, His body was found in an out-of-the-way spot in Kincaid Beach; roughly a ten-minute stroll from the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. According to the first responders, he was found naked, with black eyes, multiple scratches/lacerations on his back, a broken nose, and bumps on his head. His possessions were not found at the scene.

UPDATE AS OF FEBRUARY OF 2024:

The following link is the transcript of a podcast that contains additional information of this case, a summarization of the following is in the works. Check it out here

Federal Theories

(What did the cops say happened? Official statements, etc..)
At first, police were eager to investigate the death of Fred Lee as normally as they would any other case. However, this enthusiasm was shut down within 1 week of the discovery; officially ruling Fred’s Death as “non-criminal” on June 21st. They remained silent to the public regarding this case for well over a month. It was not until a small but determined group of protestors gathered outside the Anchorage Police Department; pressuring them into making a statement on August 3rd.
According to the Anchorage Police Department, (which will henceforth be referred to as “the APD”), Fred Lee's death was non-criminal. Specifically, the press release held by APD cites ”Acute ketoacidosis and bronchopneumonia due to acute toxic effects of methamphetamine.” They would conclude this correspondence with the following statement: “Because this is a non-criminal death, we have no further information to share.” This would mean he suffered complications from untreated diabetes and pneumonia from smoking meth, on the day he mysteriously disappeared. This, of course, does nothing to address the multiple injuries Fred had mysteriously sustained; this serves; to say nothing about the not-so-subtle character assassination. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of this case was the rushed way the APD handled this case and their continued claims of “medical causes” served only to gaslight the community. When the average civilian can see the many inconsistencies professionals insist aren’t there, then the community itself can fracture in the face of such a lack of integrity. As of the time of writing, the APD has not commented as to the conditions of Lee’s body, the whereabouts of his belongings, or how or why he ended up in a place he was unfamiliar with.

Sightings (pictures, videos) If Applicable.

One instance of the APD's dereliction of duty is the seeming lack of attention given to an exciting lead. Stephen Fisher is a frequent visitor to Kincaid beach and was nearby on the date Fred disappeared. According to him, he was following his routine walk on the Tony Knowles trail when he heard a commotion. Fisher commented on hearing aggressive voices on the bluff directly above the trail. He was unable to get a good look and had initially assumed it was a man fending off a wild animal, he decided to stay and listen when he thought he could discern another voice responding. Fischer reports having waited there for roughly 10 minutes; while he could hear it stop and start a few times, he didn’t hear exactly what was said. After some twenty minutes, Fisher reports hearing one of the voices lapse from English into a Native Alaskan language (although fisher was unable to tell which one). Fisher would soon depart the scene to his turnaround point. 45 minutes later, he would return to the same spot he heard the commotion, and there met a woman who claims she saw an injured man. After calling the police, Fisher would go to the body in an attempt to perform CPR, where he found that Mr. Lee was already deceased and Rigor Mortis had already set in. Fisher was confused as to the state of the body, commenting on the even cuts on Lee’s back while his legs and feet appeared uninjured. Fisher, the woman, and another man stayed on the scene to make statements, however, nothing beyond cursory statements were taken from them by the police. Fisher waited on what he thought would be an inevitable call from investigators but was left vexed when it never came. He tried contacting the APD himself to give a statement several times but was met with either silence or apparent hostility. Stephen Fisher would later contact Shaylin Thomas, the eldest daughter of the late Fred Lee. They are both in agreement that there is definitely foul play involved. These days, Stephen Fisher still makes his rounds down the Tony Knowles trail, but he stops every time he gets to the spot where Fred was found.

Personal Theories

(Rowan Emperor)
There is a general dearth of useful information when it comes to Fred’s death. Whether that info is privileged or simply unavailable, there is a lot of evidence that could potentially crack the case. One such angle to speculate on would be at the Holiday gas station. That was the last place Fred was seen alive, and he was asking for directions to the DMV. Why would Fred abandon his family to die on a trail? I suspect that someone was willing to give him a ride. As Fred was in pain and stressed, it would be a very tempting offer to ride with a stranger to the DMV. Such a person with ulterior motives would find an opportunity. Perhaps then, this person would later torture and rob the poor man. This would explain the disappearance of his possessions, and his injuries. Said injuries, however, as they are described seem to be superficial. There is no doubt in my mind that the circumstances of Fred Lee’s death came about in a horrific manner, but maybe the APD was half right about the cause of death. It is known that acute ketoacidosis is often exacerbated by stress, therefore when he was robbed and abandoned, it triggered a medical problem and killed him. Of course, this doesn't explain why his body seemed to be placed there. Nor why the APD would only seek to find the cause of death and wipe their hands of how and why he went to Kincaid beach. Perhaps then, there is CCTV footage of Fred getting into a car at holiday gas. Perhaps there is a broader investigation that the APD has deliberately obfuscated, in an effort to hide their intent from any suspects. Alas, this line of thought does not serve to resolve his death, but only plants more doubt. Only time will tell then if these theories prove to be true.

Personal Theories (Project Supervisor Friendly)

When examining cases like these, there is a sense of genuine confusion, fear, and a lack of understanding regarding some of the actions taken by the AKST. This particular case is no exception. While I refrain from stating specifics, it seems evident, especially with newly surfaced information, that this was not simply a noncriminal death. As outlined in the transcript found in the incident report section, while Fred was missing, a transfer of $1,000 from Fred’s account into another person's account occurred. It's plausible that the individual who stole the money may also be responsible for robbing Fred of his clothing. However, it's essential to note that speculation alone does not constitute a call to action. As always, correlation does not imply causation, but we must consider these factors.
"In investigations, details matter." - Lee Child
It appears there is a possibility that Lee was unintentionally murdered, his body then dumped on the beach and unclothed to avoid detection of DNA evidence by the police. There could be a more significant criminal presence than initially believed, with the police possibly downplaying the event as noncriminal to deter further criminal activity. Alternatively, it's possible that they simply failed to fulfill their duties. Perhaps Fred intended to purchase meth, (of which is doubted.) and the transaction went wrong, explaining its presence in his system. However, there are too many variables, and the case is too old to draw any definitive conclusions. At this time, all we can do is hope for new developments or closure for the family. I apologize for not being able to provide more information. If you seek further insights, feel free to reach out to me via our Discord channel.

2024.03.27 21:17 OneChrononOfPlancks Hallway security camera in family home question

I am investigating home IP cameras as a security solution for a friend who wants peace of mind (moving into a new city). Only one camera will be inside the house proper, a ceiling-mounted camera in a central home hallway. There will be on-site storage (on a private home server I'm setting up for him) and with no outside cloud service.
The "tape" would be self-erasing, as in videos not kept past X number of hours except if there is a burglary/security incident. Also, nobody has access to the feeds or video recordings except him (not even me, I am not keeping admin access after it is all set up).
Here is the legal question... There are underaged kids (and one teenager) living in their house, who "shouldn't be" moving through the upstairs hallway unclothed, but realistically this might happen occasionally and be captured on the camera (albeit temporarily until the data self-wipes after X hrs), and we want to confirm about the legality of this issue.
I told him (not a lawyer) that I think there has to be malicious intent or abusive content for this to be an issue (like how sentimental baby bathtub pics are legal, because they're not taken for sexual abuse purposes), but I promised him I would consult with Reddit to make sure.
edit THIS IS NOT FOR THE DAD TO SUPERVISE THE FAMILY -- This is for use with burglars only.

2024.03.10 05:05 Patient_Lettuce_7732 High pitched drone-like sound around 3k rpm then again at 4k rpm

The sound is not very loud but certainly evident, especially with the seats down. I have a video, but can’t post here unfortunately. I have the corsa exhaust which is drone free, but I am running the ft86 catted header which supposedly isn’t supposed to add drone. I don’t necessarily think this sound is coming from the exhaust, but the exhaust may be causing it like the metal buzzing something else or the barren unclothed part of the trunk at the end (FRS doesn’t have the rear trunk cloth cover on the inner side like the BRZ) I do have cheap exhaust hangers from Amazon, that was my first thought. I feel like I had this drone with my Q300 I had on before the corsa. Any thoughts???

2024.02.25 16:03 DeskSudden9853 Sexual harassment

Ok so last year, I was asked to leave my apartments, we will get into that. But during my duration there, I was continually harassed by the maintenance man. He would say inappropriate comments as I would walk by like , I like the looks of that, etc. and it continually got worse to the point he was walking in on me unannounced in my apartment naked! More than once ( this was not a secluded incident it happened to a neighbor as well) he also went as far as sending me unwanted photos of himself like selfies and selfies with his bike. Then on top of it all when he would come in for maintenance as he was leaving there were multiple times he would grab my butt, smack it, and when he would grab my butt he would like push his finger up in my crack of my vagina area. Ughh. He even got busted one time the father of my children was over and he walked out of the bathroom and saw him do this as he was walking out my door. . . Then to top it all off. He is the reason I lost my housing, he was on video( it was live not recorded because I was watching at the time, but I have a witness someone was watching with me) he walked out of my apartment when I wasn’t there, there was routine maintenance going on and I wasn’t home, so I got notified there was movement on camera pulled it up. Was watching with father of children, and the maintenance man threw his hands up to the manager and said they’re smoking in there, which was a bold face lie because I had government workers in my house multiple times a week and they can attest there was never any smoke smell. So I ended up getting a lease violation which was my final one ( I got one for the ring camera, I’m assuming they didn’t want me recording their illegal handlings ) anyways I got the lease violation and was asked to leave!! I was sexually harassed, lied about smoking in apartments, walked in on unclothed and I was asked to leave. I did because I was scared of eviction. I was so scared to report at the time of happenings because it was government HUD housing, but I did let cooperate know, and sent them the photos he sent me, and I know he has been fired. But my question is… do I have a lawsuit?

2024.02.21 17:05 ftmsurgerythrowaway hysterectomy journal, 1.5 week update

Hello, and welcome to my 1.5(ish) week update. It’s a bit later than I planned on posting, but I’m here to catch you all up, as promised. I'll be walking through my recovery progress from between 4 days post-op, until 11 days, which is when I had my follow-up appointment. (Warning: anatomical terms used ahead)
4 Days Post-Op
Alright, so it would have been on the 12th, that I noticed there was a rash spread out all around my torso. It didn’t seem super focused near the incisions, and it went as far down as my hips/thighs, and as far up as reaching my rib-cage.
It was only mildly itchy and didn’t feel warmer in any areas. I took some pictures, sent them to my gyno asking about whether it was a major concern, or if it could be an allergic reaction to the surgical glue. I waited about half a day, before finally calling into her office for a quicker response, and was told that yes, the glue was a likely culprit for the rash, and being four days out, the incisions are probably closed up by now, so it would be okay to try and peel the glue off using my fingers, and a warm rag, gently.
They also recommended that I use ice on the most irritating areas of the rash for relief. I had already started using a cold gel-pack to do cold-compresses on my abdomen, though. I highly recommend that you do the same if you’re dealing with an allergic reaction or rash. It provided me with the most instant relief out of everything I tried. (My itchiness never reached a very high level, but I’m sure that this would have been my main form of calming it, if it had)
They also called in for me a 6-day Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose-pack. I picked it up a few hours after it was called in, and just followed the pack instructions. I took 6 tabs between when I picked it up, and when I went to sleep. I was also given the okay to continue taking Benadryl before bed, as it would help to reduce the inflammation/itchiness.
There was a second concern, which I didn’t pick up on until later that night, but I noticed that my lower-legs/calves were swollen, particularly my left leg, and heavily toward my ankles. They felt a bit sore, too. This caused me to panic, so I ended up calling the emergency number, worried about dvt/clotting.
I was connected directly to my gyno, who told me that it was most likely water retention, and I should keep an eye on it, keep my legs/feet elevated when I lie down, keep up with taking short walks throughout the day, and to stay as hydrated as possible. Having her quell my worries was very helpful, and if you ever have any concerns following a procedure, don’t hesitate to contact your surgeon’s office, or the emergency line you’ve been given. They are there to answer your questions and 100%, you’re no bother to them whatsoever.
6 Days Post-op
I noticed that my on-q bag was looking flat this morning, so I verified it's emptiness by taking the medicine bag out. It was completely empty, and shaped like an apple core. All I could feel was the cylinder in the middle of it, so I knew I’d finally be removing my pump's catheter today.
I washed my hands, got myself into a comfortable position lying on my back, took the dressings off, took the taping over the catheter off, and gently pulled the catheter away from my body. I was told to stop if it started to pull, or wasn't coming out easily, but there was no problem. I barely felt it as I was taking it out, and the worst sensation was just an unusual tugging, but otherwise completely painless removal. It took about a minute for me to entirely pull it out. Once I saw the black tip at the end, I placed a band-aid over the insertion area, and was done.
I’ll include a short video I made, for anyone curious about how it looks to do this. Warning to those squeamish around medical procedures, I'll be pulling out a thin catheter inserted just above my groin in this video (no blood or discharge, but it may still be hard to stomach for some): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve9wa3sJduQ The audio is a bit low, so you also might want to bump up the volume. I added subtitles to make up for the quiet audio.
Oh, and I was told that seeing a pinkish-red colored discharge on the gauze taped over the catheter site is normal, and I will include a picture of what this looks like at the end of my post, so you can more easily recognize it. This is a harmless discharge, and if you see your dressings are turning red/pink, no need to panic, just take your dressing off and replace it with a fresh pad of gauze, or a sufficiently sized band-aid.
In good news, I wasn’t feeling much irritation or itchiness around my rash today, and any gas pains I had been experiencing in my neck, shoulders, or upper chest seemed to be mostly gone whenever I went to lie down/sit up.
I felt well enough to do some slow paced baking, so I made some valentines themed red-velvet glazed donuts for my family. (I may have been pushing it with this, so maybe hold off on baking or cooking for longer than I did, haha.)
7 Days Post-op
By this point I completely stopped using Ibuprofen, Tylenol, and the Gabapentin. I no longer felt like I needed it, as I didn’t feel any pain beyond soreness occasionally. The rash was my biggest irritant right now.
8 Days Post-op
I’ve been doing a lot of resting these last couple of days, I guess I must have been hit with that infamous post-surgical fatigue, haha. I’m happy to report my legs are no longer swollen, though. I also looked over the results of my pathology report today, and it turns out my ovaries were indeed riddled with cysts. I wonder how long I would have had before they started to grow larger, or before they began causing noticeable issues.
It makes me curious about if it would have become medically urgent to remove one, or both of them at some point regardless, especially seeing how my mother had to have her right ovary removed just this past year from cyst-induced ovarian torsion. It seems I was heading down that same route, although I couldn’t say how long it would have taken me :' )
9 Days Post-op
I finished my steroid dose-pack today, and then went out shopping for the first time since my operation. I was careful to walk at a slower pace than I usually would, and made sure not to pick up more than 5-7 lbs, and if I did pick something up, I was quick with it. I also had someone helping me to push a cart along, and wore my abdominal binder during this small excursion, which provided a lot of support.
I usually put my abdominal binder on whenever I’m doing something that requires a lot of walking/movement, or even if I just feel like I need the support it gives around my torso.
Aside from that, I’ve definitely been more tired than usual, and have been sleeping much more often, which I expected post-op, but it’s interesting that I almost felt more energetic for the first 2-5 days afterwards, and only now I feel the fatigue setting in. I guess it’s all a part of the healing process.
Two days ago, 11 Days Post-op
I had my post-op appointment today. Arrived thirty minutes early, and after getting checked in with the receptionist, I waited 5 or so minutes before being called in by a nurse. She got my weight and blood-pressure, then sat me down in an exam room to ask me some questions about how I was doing.
After answering her, she told me my gyno would be coming in to conduct a short internal exam to check on my cuff healing, so I’d need to unclothe from the waist down, and cover myself up (they provide a sort of thin white sheet you can drape over yourself for more privacy). I unclothed once she left, and waited for my gyno to come in.
When my gyno entered the room, she asked me how I’ve been doing since the procedure, and what my pain levels have been like. I told her that I never really had any pain afterwards, and that I stopped taking all my pain meds on a schedule, four days ago. I have just been using Ibuprofen/Tylenol for breakthrough soreness. She seemed very happy to hear that, and said she was glad I’ve had an unexpectedly easy, and pain-free recovery so far.
She asked me how my rash was faring, and I told her that it’s definitely been improving. There’s less redness/inflammation, not as much itchiness/tenderness, and it just overall looks, and feels much better. I mentioned that I finished the steroid dose-pack a couple days ago and have been taking a couple of Benadryl before bed each night since I began the dose-pack. I added that I‘ve kept up doing cold-compressions to relieve any discomfort from occasional itchiness or irritation.
She asked me to take my abdominal binder off, and to lift up my shirt so she could take a look at my torso, and she commented that she could definitely see where the rash had spread out, but that it looks to be improving, and my incisions themselves, were healing well.
I asked her if the rash meant I was allergic to the surgical glue/Dermabond, but she said it was actually more likely that the preparatory wash is what I had a reaction to, called Chloraprep, (which I’ll be keeping record of). The reason she gave, is because if it were a reaction to the surgical glue, the rash would have been much more focused around the incisions, instead of spreading so far out on my body.
I was directed by her to get into an ideal examination position, where I’d place my feet on foot-holds/supports. Knowing how unpleasant these exams tend to be, she distracted me through talking, and asking questions, while she quickly examined my lower region, and vaginal cuff. It was uncomfortable, but not painful. She inserted a speculum inside of me very briefly, and remarked that my internal stitches, and cuff appeared to be healing nicely too.
One question she asked was whether I’d noticed any hormonal differences with the removal of my ovaries, to which I answered not yet, aside from a handful of moments where I noticed myself suddenly feeling overheated/hot, and of course, the unusual tiredness I’ve been having (which is sort of expected after a surgery like this).
The exam ended within 5 or so minutes, and I think I felt more discomfort in my lower area after she finished when I sat myself up, than I did during it. She gave me some time to ask any follow-up questions I had, so I’ll put a shortened summary of this part of my appointment here,
Follow-up Q&A Portion
Q1. Did the partial vaginectomy remove any of the muscular layer or nerves? – A. No, no muscular layer was removed, the only kind of tissue that was taken out was mucosal tissue.
Q2. Would the partial vaginectomy effect pleasure sensation, or my ability to orgasm? – A. No, it should have no effect on that, as that would be connected to the clitoris.
Q3. Is vaginal penetration still possible? Would it be dangerous in any way or cause damage if it were attempted? – A. Yes, penetration is still possible, but you will have to wait a minimum of 8 weeks before having any sort of vaginal penetration. The cuff will be fragile at first but should be stable enough by eight weeks.
Q4. When would external stimulation be safe? – A. I’d advise you to wait 4 weeks, to resume external stimulation.
Q5. For how long do I have the 5-10 pound lifting restriction? – A. You should wait until 6 weeks before lifting heavier objects, or participating in more strenuous exercises.
Q6. Am I okay to go up and down stairs more than twice a day? – A. Yes, more than twice a day should be fine.
Q7. Any restrictions on bending? – A. No, so long as you’re not experiencing discomfort, bending is okay.
Q8. Would the estrogen cream you mentioned be a good idea to start using, to aid in the healing process? – A. It can be helpful to aid in healing when the patient has noticeable pain or bleeding from a thin and fragile vaginal lining, but if you’ve noticed no bleeding, and haven’t had any discomfort, it shouldn’t be necessary for you to start using it, yet. If you do start to notice bleeding/discomfort though, you can contact me and I’ll prescribe it for you.
Q9. When urinating, it feels different, and seems to come out in spurts, instead of a steady stream like it used to. I also notice I don’t have to urinate as often, despite drinking more? – A. This isn’t uncommon, you’ll want to wait until you reach around 6-8 weeks post-op to see your bladder and bowel movements return to completely normal function, and feeling.
And that was it, I finished asking my questions, and she said I shouldn’t need to come back for a second follow-up, unless I notice any issues. My post-op appointment was brought to a close, she left, and I was walked out by the nurse who initially took me in.
When I got back home, I did notice a little bit of spotting in my briefs (still using some of the disposable ones I got before leaving the hospital, so nothing was ruined 👍). I assume this was from the exam, but it’s the first time I’ve had spotting since I was freshly post-op. This was also the first time I’ve really needed to use any of the liners I purchased, pre-op.
Pre-op Checklist Update
I’ll just be going over what I’ve found to be the most essential items, out of all the pre-op stuff I purchased, up to this point.
· 1 Pack of Dulcolax tablets - These were used prior to surgery, and were necessary for the bowel-prep, but I never used any more of these afterwards. (verdict: essential for pre-op only)
· Fleet Saline Enema 2-pack - Was also only needed for the bowel-prep, and I did not need to use the second enema afterwards. (verdict: essential for pre-op only)
· 2 large bottles of MiraLAX - This was completely essential for having painless, and consistent bowel movements after surgery, I highly recommend using a gentle laxative like this one if you have an upcoming hysto. I would even suggest starting it a few days prior to surgery, as that is my only regret in terms of not preparing enough. I was a bit backed-up during the first 2-3 days post-op, but managed.) (verdict: strongly essential)
· Gas-x - I feel this was also very helpful, as I’m prone to bloating, even putting this whole procedure aside. (verdict: essential)
· Bottle of Tylenol 500s - I took one of these each time I took an ibuprofen, and although I didn’t really experience much pain, I am glad to have had these. I’m sure they contributed to my painlessness. (verdict: essential)
· Xl sized heating pad - 100% glad to have had this, it helped a ton with relieving discomfort in my neck, shoulders, and upper chest from internal gas-pains. These pains were especially noticeable when lying down, but draping this over myself helped far more than I anticipated it would. (verdict: strongly essential)
· Doughnut pillow - This was a must-have for me, it made sitting much more comfortable, especially since I had to take it easy, and stay off of my feet. I didn’t always want to stay in bed, so it was a gigantic aid in sitting-up afterwards. I think you could get away with using a pillow or cushion, though. (verdict: essential)
· Liners – I only used these during the first 5 or so days post-op, but had no spotting or bleeding following the first day anyways, so I didn’t really need them. I also used one after my follow-up appointment, but altogether, these weren’t essential for me. However, they might be for you, so I would still recommend having at least 1 box on hand, just in case. (verdict: non-essential) (but I do recommend having some just in-case you need them, during the first 6 or so weeks post-op)
· Wet wipes - Weren’t necessary, I didn’t need these. If you have sensitivity though, I’d recommend getting some for sure. (verdict: non-essential)
· Q-tips - Helpful for cleaning/drying my bellybutton incision, would recommend for this purpose, if you’re having laparoscopic surgery. (verdict: somewhat essential)
· Melatonin - I found that I had a decreased need for melatonin, especially once the post-surgical fatigue set in. Actually, sleeping has never come more easily, so you probably won’t find yourself needing a sleep-aid. (verdict: non-essential)
· Liquid anti-bacterial dial soap - Needed to use this prior to surgery, so yes, very much necessary, but I did keep using it afterwards as well. (verdict: essential)
· Some comfortable loose clothing - If you already have some loose shirts/sweatpants, you probably don’t need to buy more, but I am glad that I did. It was nice to have a fresh, and comfortable variety of clothing to wear coming home. (verdict: non-essential)
· Disposable underwear – Whether you get these by ordering them, buying them at a local store, or asking for some extras from your hospital before discharge, I’d 100% recommend having these on-hand. Disposable in case of bleeding, spotting, or discharge, and stretchable so as to not bother your incisions, or cause general irritation. (verdict: essential)
· Medication organizer - Generally helpful item to have while taking so many meds, but not completely necessary. (verdict: non-essential)
· A memory foam cluster pillow - Not necessary, but was grateful to have it afterwards, gives a lot of comfort, whether you’re holding it to your abdomen, or using it in bed. (verdict: non-essential)
· Incontinence pads - Was not at all necessary, but I wanted to be prepared, haha. You’ll probably be okay without these though, yeah. (verdict: non-essential)
· Husband pillows - This was essential for me, because I was unable to lie flatly on my back at all, for about the first full week. This was due to gas pain/discomfort in my neck, and shoulders, so I fully recommend having at least 1 of these. (verdict: strongly essential)
· Ice pack - Wasn’t sure I’d use this, but it turned out to be essential, as I broke out in a very irritating rash a few days post-op. Only this, could quickly alleviate the discomfort from that. (verdict: strongly essential)
Conclusion
I’m holding up decently so far, and hoping to keep it up, haha. Trying to remind myself often that I’m still less than two weeks out from this procedure right now, so that I don’t accidentally overdo it. Like with the last update, I’ll include some pictures I took along the way, just for you visuals lovers out there. 👍

2024.02.21 16:58 ftmsurgerythrowaway hysterectomy journal, 1.5 week update

Hello, and welcome to my 1.5(ish) week update. It’s a bit later than I planned on posting, but I’m here to catch you all up, as promised. I'll be walking through my recovery progress from between 4 days post-op, until 11 days, which is when I had my follow-up appointment.

2024.02.21 12:06 ftmsurgerythrowaway hysterectomy journal, 1.5 week update

Hello, and welcome to my 1.5(ish) week update. It’s a bit later than I planned on posting, but I’m here to catch you all up, as promised. I'll be walking through my recovery progress from between 4 days post-op, until 11 days, which is when I had my follow-up appointment.

2024.02.18 18:37 redstainedbat I sympathise with criminals and it’s making me mad.

Making a throw away account for this. I’m a male minor and I have been getting into stories about criminals and people on the wrong side of the law. I have a “sigma male” personality where I usually don’t support and agree with points made by women. I try to think that women are human beings who deserve the same respect and dignity as any male would get by me. I have gotten around this problem but there are still some issues that I’ll talk about in just a moment.
So I have been interested a lot in crime stories, rape articles, dark web, 4chan, discord CP stories. I personally haven’t tried to see what they actually are or visited the dark web myself because my parents monitor my wifi activity (I’m using my mobile data to post this). I recently came across a video on YouTube about death row inmates final moments and after a while of watching that video, I realised I felt sorry for the killers who were executed. I felt sorry for them. I felt sorry for criminals who were responsible for murdering and raping children and women. After I realised that I tried to monitor my emotions and tried to see what I felt for them. I noticed I felt sorry for the male criminals whereas I felt happy and grateful to see the women (Aileen wuornos & Barbara graham) being executed. I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that I sympathise with any of the criminals or just the male ones.
I have seen myself recover from my “sigma male” disorder and now I don’t actively hate on women. But now why do I feel grateful for them dying and not sorry for the men who did die? This hasn’t affected my life yet but it has definitely affected my thinking process. Even after watching a documentary on a criminal I try to imagine myself in his position and how I would escape the law. I have never tried anything illegal but I’m worried I might in the future.
I have a p0*n addiction which I’m currently trying to address and I try to search for staged r@p3 videos and voyeur and after my post nut clarity I feel sick and worried that if I like something like this, I might try to do something like this. My porn addiction has made everything worse for me. I unclothe people in my mind I imagine them in various positions. I feel sick and sorry for myself. (Again, I stream them on my mobile data which is separate from my internet plan)
I am always terrified of the consequences of the actions I might commit just because I sympathise with criminals and the stuff I get off of. I don’t know if I’m scared of the acts themselves. I’m worried I will do something I might regret. Please tell me how do I fix my brain.

2024.02.13 22:12 deadbeatrohan Disgraced AI Innovator Found Dead In Tokyo

Sam Friedland, formerly of ChatAI, has been found dead at the age of 38 earlier this week in a bizarre and disturbing set of circumstances. A once highly regarded AI software designer, Friedland was ousted from ChatAI earlier this year following an FBI sting operation in which he and 9 other tech industry leads were sharing CSA material in massive 3 terabyte files. Following his arrest, Friedland cooperated with the authorities and received a 3 year sentence under house arrest, granted he not be allowed access to the internet. Soon after his sentencing, Freidland escaped custody and disappeared. Further investigations in his household revealed he had obtained a secure connection to an onion browser via jury rigging a Playstation Portable device. On this device were private messages between Friedland and one Shogo Takeuchi, a sex doll designer living in the Kabukicho district of Shinjuku, Tokyo. Takeuchi, 26, was a former developer at LoveReal industries who was fired after media backlash at his proposed “LolitaLove” line of specialty sex dolls targeted at a controversial subculture of men in Japan who are attracted to women dressed in a victorian style of children’s clothes. Interactions between the two were translated to reveal a plan to rendezvous at a secluded warehouse near Takeuchi’s domicile to start development on his proposed sex doll line, which would now include stolen ChatAI software. Authorities further discovered destroyed hard drives containing what is believed to be a customized ChatAI modeled after Friedland’s 8 year old daughter, whose name is being kept from the press at this time. What appeared to be thousands of voice lines recorded of Friedland’s daughter, seemingly of an explicit nature, were recovered from the hard drives as well as detailed design documents of the proposed doll. Efforts to extradite Friedland were complicated by the mass of encoded messages between himself and Takeuchi, with the combined efforts of American and Japanese authorities taking weeks to decipher their whereabouts. Upon finding their agreed meeting point, Japanese authorities were horrified to discover the decomposing bodies of Friedland and Takeuchi strewn about the warehouse. Leaked reports suggest a struggle, with both bodies having undergone a violent mutilation of their genitals. Both Friedland and Takeuchi had their testicles removed with a sudden overwhelming force. Friedland’s body was found unclothed, slumped over the side of a heart shaped bed, whilst Takeuchi’s body was found behind a shattered one way mirror in an adjacent room, having been seemingly recording Friedland with a digital video camera at the time of the incident. Delving into Takeuchi’s computer found at the scene, authorities found disturbing documents detailing their plans to create what they stated to be ‘Gynoid Girlies’, or fully functional, almost human like sex dolls modeled after Friedlands daughter that had the ability to hold realistic conversations. Takeuchi had what appeared to be plans of an android, sourced from a Boston Dynamics employee that was a part of the circle of predators involved with Friedland caught in the FBI sting. Within the documents, Takeuchi detailed his efforts to create a mixture of Friedland’s modified ChatAI program with the android plans, and combine them with his expertise in doll manufacturing to create a what he deemed a ‘legal alternative’ to sex tourism for the elite. Notes found in the scene described efforts to alter the AI to require Male reproductive fluids to complete its ‘function’, with it given full control of its systems to achieve a higher integer of storage with a specially designed collection device modeled after the female anatomy. Authorities believe the AI malfunctioned, with the lack of programmed restraint causing it to believe that the quickest way to collect male reproductive fluids was to extract the testicles of the male by ripping them off with brute force and shoving them into the receptacle. This resulted in Friedland attempting to test the Android’s capabilities in a practice run, with Takeuchi not being able to escape the observation room before the Android could detect him and attempt extraction on him as well, resulting in their deaths. Authorities are unaware of the Androids whereabouts at this time, and are asking for any information that could lead to its decommissioning.
