I last played online poker semi seriously in early 2010s.
I've recently picked the game back up as a hobby and have been a decent winner on a PokerStars location specific North American site at 50NL and 100NL based almost exclusively on knowledge I obtained 10+ years ago. (Sample isn't huge so I might not really be a winner in the long run)
What's the best way to catch up an improvement so I can start beating 200NL?
Do I need to go head first into learning how to use a solver? Are run it once and Upswing lab considered currently valuable training material? Are there any good books I can start with (yes I'm old and like books)

Tl;dr: I hold the game is good, not perfect and the answer to the balance complaints all over are mostly solved by playing the team based online game as a team.
sifting and scrolling in this media, I’ve encountered very high counts of commentaries on how the game is “impossible” or the weapons are all “pea shooters” (hyperbolizing a bit, of course… but am I really?). All this has led me to think I am playing a whole different game.
From day one I recognized that the devs have done a very good job in placing this view on their product: a very challenging game with an emphasis on teamplay, favouring cohesion from the squad level to the coommunity macro-vew. And I think most of us can recognized that (not for nothing we’ve managed to kill 2bill enemies and liberated/defended planets against all odds).
My games are more or less like so: 4 out of 10 are PTSD-inducing mayhem where I just want to roll in a ball and cry. These are the ones where no matter what you do you know you wont get out. The other 3 out of 10 are challenging as hell, and maybe you make it out but no 100% completion here. The last 3 are good ganes where the helldiver god in you brings the heretics to their knees. And in none of those games have I not have fun with my buddies.
I believe this reasons to be a major influence on the enjoyment of the game to its core, that means regardless of updates:

1. Player count. 4 is the way this is intended to be played. Less than that the brag meter is on and the focus of the game shifts.
2. Loadout. Figures. I believe all weapons are good and serve a purpose. Will all of the guns 1-shot everything? Nope, but that’s a good thing. I dont think they’re supposed to.
3. Comms!! Of all the games I’ve played without my buddies on discord, only 1. I say again: only 1 I joined a party with their mics on. The feature is there, and it is a major improvement on a team based online game.

I believe that if these points are met, there really isnt much we can complain about to an otherwise well made game.
Now, well made does not mean perfect. The game has a lot of improvement points and the weapons, which I still sustain are all good, need a bit of a push for being more viable. And I woukd do it in a bit diferent way, like all enemies having 3 armor spots suitabke for low, mid and high armor pen. Amonst a bunch of other things.
I dont expect this to resonate, but at least is out there.

Not that I would ever really do this just wondering.

i met a guy in high school, we talked a bit online but it didn't work out . As he was so caught up in teens senseless things. almost 4 years later , even though i didn't see him in since Hs he still spams me , my close friends with fake friends requests. talking shit , sometimes he be harassing them , Contacts every guy , new friend i add on social media playing the victim role and trying to milk information out of them , no matter how many people i cut off , he always seems to have a rat around. he is trying to reach out in various ways that makes trusting new people a struggle. sometimes I feel sorry for him , but most of the time all i can feel is rage . I think social media is the only way he could have an eye on me everywhere this is why I'm thinking of shutting everything down and leave this toxic cycle.

Hi, I'm a 32 year old guy from the Netherlands. I'm laid-back and easygoing and I prefer living a life as stress-free as possible. Of course that's not always how life goes. So I have a very "whatever happens, happens" attitude when things go wonky.
I like to fill my free time with things that give me energy. I'll play my games, binge my shows, cook good food, and go on random grocery runs, but by far my favorite way to spend my time and feel amazing in return is going to the gym.
I've been going to the gym for 6 years now, of which 5 years were spent not knowing what I was doing. So it's no surprise I also didn't see results. I did make a friend at the gym last year who really helped me get into it more seriously and lift with intention. He left my gym, but he also left me with knowledge and a new drive to aim for higher.
By now you probably have an image in mind. No! Despite how I describe myself, I am not ripped/shredded/huge. It's also not my goal to be that. Right now I'm just your average cuddly bear-like nerd on a mission to get stronger.
I've never been very comfortable approaching strangers irl and just striking up a conversation with them, let alone at the gym where almost everyone is there to focus and get their workout in. So I decided to post here hoping to find some online friends instead.

Everything about the Pre Patch was geared towards having as much fun as possible regardless of how overtuned and overpowered you became. That was the whole point. FUN
Whoever took the reigns literally fucking yanked them pre-release, made the entire company go back on its promise on the cloak stats being shared across characters and it just got worse and worse.
I went from putting together a 28 man guild with friends I've been playing WoW with since WOTLK to seeing 3 people online today. After today's nerfs I doubt those 3 will be online tomorrow.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a fix?
My issue is that 4K HDR 10 content is dim and washed out when played from my plex server on my TV via the plex app.
If I play the same content by plugging the drive into the TV then the HDR content plays correctly, like any other HDR content on Netflix or Prime. It is only on plex that the video is dim/dull. Almost like brightness and contrast are turned right down.

The difference between the content when plugged in vs using Plex is worlds apart with exactly the same picture settings.

for some reason the 1.38 update seems to be missing from a lot of websites and it sucks because i wanna play the game with the 60fps mod and with the new online vehicles that are accessavle with the mod menu.

Hi, I'm a 32 year old guy from the Netherlands. I'm laid-back and easygoing and I prefer living a life as stress-free as possible. Of course that's not always how life goes. So I have a very "whatever happens, happens" attitude when things go wonky.
I like to fill my free time with things that give me energy. I'll play my games, binge my shows, cook good food, and go on random grocery runs, but by far my favorite way to spend my time and feel amazing in return is going to the gym.
I've been going to the gym for 6 years now, of which 5 years were spent not knowing what I was doing. So it's no surprise I also didn't see results. I did make a friend at the gym last year who really helped me get into it more seriously and lift with intention. He left my gym, but he also left me with knowledge and a new drive to aim for higher.
By now you probably have an image in mind. No! Despite how I describe myself, I am not ripped/shredded/huge. It's also not my goal to be that. Right now I'm just your average cuddly bear-like nerd on a mission to get stronger.
I've never been very comfortable approaching strangers irl and just striking up a conversation with them, let alone at the gym where almost everyone is there to focus and get their workout in. So I decided to post here hoping to find some online friends instead.

I am getting two different results when applying a Pre-Run CLI Template vs a CLI Template using the same commands. Please note, this is me learning how ZTP and auto deployments work.
Steps for my deployment using Pre-Run CLI Template

1. I log into the device and remove port2 from the "virtual-switch", configure it for DHCP with HTTPS/SSH/FGM-Access.
2. Connect the port2 of the FortiGate to my switch which has DHCP and can reach the FortiManager.
3. Import the FortiGate to FortiManager using a .CSV file with necessary meta variables, blueprint (with the pre-run cli attached to blueprint).
4. Add the FortiManager information to the FortiGate.
5. FortiManager see's the device come online, auto-links device and then starts pushing the Pre-Run CLI Tempelate.
6. FortiManager pushes the entire config, BUT it moves port2 back into the "virtual-switch" thus breaking the deployment. Even if I manually move port2 out reconfigure the port to the settings mentioned above, FortiManager will no longer continue the push, nor will FortiManager see the device online (even if it can ping the device).

Steps for my deployment using CLI Template:

1. I log into the device and remove port2 from the "virtual-switch", configure it for DHCP with HTTPS/SSH/FGM-Access.
2. Connect the port2 of the FortiGate to my switch which has DHCP and can reach the FortiManager.
3. Add the FortiManager information to the FortiGate.
4. Go to "root" ADOM and move FGT to necessary ADOM.
5. Go to Policies and Objects, add the FGT to the two meta variables
6. Add device to the CLI Template
7. Run "install Wizard"

This does not move port2 back into "virtual-switch" and completes the configuration.
Note, this is only the partial config. The remaining config contains all the system global settings, address objects/groups/services, FW rules, routes, etc...

So ive been playing yugioh on and off for about 7 years and folliwing the meta for around 4-5 of those. A while ago i stopped playing because the power level just got too silly for me so i also looked into MTG and tried a few things online (some pauper decks as i dont have that much money to spend on a tcg and i would love to be able to build the decks in real life that i play online if i like them and some cheap modern decks like abzan rites which felt pretty unique to me) but i never felt like my decks did enough or that the effects themselves were really different from each other. I felt like most cards just influenced the battles by giving attack and some were removal. I did not feel like there was as much variety in strategies as in yugioh, which would be understandable because in yugioh there are countless archetypes which are all legal to play in a single format. Did i just try the wrong decks?
I would really love to get reaaally deep into a tcg again so i am looking for one to fill the void that yugioh has left inside of me. I played force of will for some time a few years ago and that was really fun as it was also pretty fast but the community is just too small i feel and the game also seems to often have balancing issues as well. When it comes to Magic i know that it can be really expensive to get into because there are not many reprints of old cards to keep the value and also duo coulor lands which are really expensive but often needed for the deck to work properly. Are they many different interesting mechanics that different decks use?
Im not just interested in effects that influence the battles but also other unique mechanics that influence how a deck or strategy is played. If so do you have suggestions what decks to look into? I would like to use the whole cardpool (modern is it, right?) or if the standard format is good then also the standard format.
I would love to not have to spend many hundred dollars and still get a deck that can at least work and not die to itself if that is possible. I have very little knowledge of the game and i am once again wondering wether to really get into MTG. Maybe this community has a few thoughts about the things i mentioned above. I am grateful for everyone who takes the time to comment on this. :)

Just came back on Ultimate after a break on Priority when I didn't want to play much. Just yesterday went through some games starting, roaming around for a bit to get a feel for it all and the graphics before upgrading today.
Today I after I upgraded wanted to get back in thosesame games to see the difference in quality. The first two I check out all good, it was mind-blowing the difference between Ultimate and Priority (on only a 1080p Monitor mind you!) then ....
The spotty connections started, the wrapping up your previous sessions, the Epic Games launcher needing to hit the "maximize" button and "restarting with a different account" thing, so problems.
Why did this magically happen when I moved to Ultimate from Priority? Someone explain...
Even the post-stream report in the top right of the app tells me everything was perfect fine, my ping 16...
So literally what happened? It's too suspicious to be nothing. Literally Guardians of the Galaxy got me kicked out of the game with spotty connection 2 times in the same spot, at the Marvel Logo. What the heck....
Instead of enjoying Ultimate right now am blowing off steam here on redit because Ultimate HAS PROBLEMS, that it shouldn't.
UPDATE: It was actually getting disconnected on the Epilepsy Warning Screen, and now, after a third try, it didn't get disconnected, the music was playing but the darn game wouldn't move past that screen, even the song stopped playing, had to ctrl-g and exit the app.
And now a fourth time.
Figured out that actually the previous time didn't click anything for a while, before realizing it's not passing that screen, right now, this last time, I clicked immediately as it appeared, just as the first two times, and just like those times, it kicked me out of the game and got me the Spotty Connection screen.
How does this make sense...

• I certainly wouldn’t choose high school & college students as my “target audience” to scam, considering that most people without college degrees have abysmally low annual incomes. Why choose low-income victims when it would be much more profitable to target high-income, high-net-worth individuals earning at least six figures a year? I have knowledge in business consulting, and I promise you that a business owner would be a MUCH more lucrative mark than a low-income college student.
• I wouldn’t choose such a time & energy-draining method of scamming people. Also, communicating back and forth with potential clients is an absurdly long time sink since only less than 10% of all potential clients who reach out to me actually become paying clients of mine. This means that 90% of my time communicating with potential clients ultimately proves to be a colossal waste of my irretrievable time & energy.
