2024.01.31 23:17 Luedman63 Legion Pro 7i Vapor Chamber motivation

Legion Pro 7i Vapor Chamber motivation
Legion Pro 7i Vapor Chamber motivation?
I’ve decided to go with the Legion 7i Pro instead of the Alienware M16 R2 because it appears that the i9-13900HX is preferred for gaming over the newer but not as tested Ultra7 155H. That said, I’m pretty sure that all I “need” (debatable) is the RTX 4070 and 16 GB Ram. Thus far I have only played WOT, WOW and original Doom (long ago). I think I like Sea of Thieves, GTA, Forisma, Flight Simulator, Last of Us. Where I get caught up is with the 4070 model not having the “full” cooling of the Coldfront 5.0 coverage on both CPU /GPU? Will the games I listed even make the 4070 hot? Is this enough of a concern to make the $400 jump to the 4080 with 32 MB or am I just trying to justify to myself the higher spec laptop which I arguably really don’t need??? I intend to extend the warranty and accident coverage and it all adds up.

2023.10.17 12:27 Intelligent-Many-181 Help me choose!

So, I've been a gamer since I was a wee lad, but I never went for the hardcore PC stuff due to budget limitations. Long story short, I now want to get an average gaming laptop with a $1,200 budget. I live in Indonesia, so most tech stuff is overpriced here. For that Priceline, I wonder if there are any more options from what I currently have my eyes on (Lenovo Legion 5 RTX3060 i7-12700H 16GB, the Lenovo LOQs, ASUS ROG Strix G15 RTX3060 Ryzen 7 6800 16GB; giving you guys the gist of what I could get within that Priceline where I came from) out there for me, or which of those is the best. Weight isn't a problem as long as it has a good cooling system since I'll probably chuck the laptop to my monitor all the time—I have a separate working laptop and mechanical keyboard too, so I'm hoping to trade those feature for a better spec or cooling system.

2023.08.03 21:20 Dependent_Dance5883 New partnership?

Dear BitBook community!
We have finalized the due diligence of a new partnership for inventory and booking technology. I'd like to share the booking engine with you for testing purposes only. This is to see if we like it more then the current partnership we have with Priceline/Booking. I'd like to provide some Pro's and Con's here.
Pro's - Overall better booking experience - In our testing, price was around 50% of the time better and 50% of the time worse, so overall pretty good - You can search on Hotel names in the search bar directly. - better Map - Design looks better
Con's - No Flights, or car rental possible - Lot of work to integrate with our system - Not a partner that is as well known as Booking - We are forced/required to have "in partnership with" in the header for laptop/desktop, so from a branding standpoint not as good - Revenue deal made is slightly better with priceline
Please have a look for yourself and provide us with your feedback. Again I want to reemphasize this is only for testing purposes, bookings do work but do not generate any BBT reward. URL: https://hotels.bitbook.net/

2023.03.28 06:09 junkie789 to my sexy scorpy ladies, which man do you marry?? (ROUND 1)

DON'T VOTE IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE READ BELOW!!! (i promise it's worth it :D)
To my lovely scorpy succubuses (succubis??)
anyways, pisces dude here. Just a few days ago, I had a profound realization about the relationship between gender with signs (for example, the difference between how scorpio energy is expressed between a scorpio man and scorpio lady), but I needed data to convince myself of this theory. and so this is where you come in. AND I NEEED YOUR HELP!!!
Here's what you have to do. I'd think you're currently reading this on a laptop or phone. But for the moment, close your eyes. Imagine, you are single. And you've just finished closing a business deal with your board of directors. You are a CEO of a hospital system. You love helping people and are passionate about serving the underserved. To celebrate after months of sleepless nights, and because you value your privacy and alone time, you decide to take a vacation to your own private island off the coast of New Zealand. Sun tan, beach towels, bikinis and straw hat loaded and packed, you take the first flight to Auckland and then a boat ride to this private island. Once there, you visit a wonderful secret cove on the south side of the island, shores coated with warm white marble sand, sprinkled with healthy palm trees and a serene waterfall in the background. A wonderful majestic volcano towering in the near distance of the island completes this picture perfect vacation spot for you. You are in love. You take the time and set your beach towel, throw on your favorite bikini, put on some lotion with a coconut drink in hand, and you lie down and soak up that warm sun. 13 minutes later, you hear some voices. WHAT?!? you thought this was a private island? Apparently, there was a mistake with Priceline and the island was double booked. sorry. you are curious who these people were. To your surprise, 6 men pop out of the forest. and to more of your surprise, THEY ARE ALL TWINS!!!!! 6 twins?!?!?! WHAT! YES!!! And to their surprise, they notice you! All 6 smile the largest smile they could muster and work their way over to your direction. As they come closer, you notice they are all 6 feet tall, tall dark and handsome. all 6 are starting quarterbacks at the same college lol. They are all training to become doctors, who also are in love with puppies and equally love their mom dearly. They are total heart throbs. Did i mention they were all on "The Bachelor" show at the same time?? WOW! Add to it, they have strong jawlines, strong eyebrow game, big strong forearms, have 8 pack abs and they're all charming af. Somehow, you' find out they are all sexually compatible with you. yes all 6 of them. I'm not sure how you know, but somehow you sense it. Curious as you are, instead of asking them if they needed food, water, help or anything that normal social convention dictates, you ask them for their birth place, and time and date. In your mind, you want to marry one of them right now, on this island. You've found your soulmate. And to your surprise, aside from their sun signs, every planet, every sign and every house is exactly the same!!!!!! (midheavens, chirons are literally all the same in the same houses). wow! Unfortunately, something bad happens. You feel some shaking. OH NOOOOO. that peaceful volcano wasnt' dormant afterall, and was in fact the most active volcano on earth. Priceline messed up again by not telling you this. The lava explodes, dust everywhere. all 7 of you need to get the fuck off the island. You see that boat that dropped you off. He anchors near shore, and walk over. Unfortunately, the captains was an idiot and didn't fill up on gas. He says, he only can take weight enough for 2 people. of course, being gentlemen, the twins say you should go on the boat, but this means you must choose your soulmate and leave the 5 other brothers on the island. sad day. but hey, at least you have your soulmate.
here's the question -- with all of your sun sign bias, and stereotypes you have in your mind, which man do you save and marry and live happily ever after with? REMEMBER, ALL ELSE IN THE BIRTHCHART IS EQUAL. and they are all twins, all same professions, love the same mom lol.
Good luck my beautiful lady-stingers

Skip hopping from site to site and check out FreeShipping org. It’s a web site that aggregates all of the retailers -- big and small -- that offer free shipping and other discounts to customers. The site includes the terms and conditions of the free shipping deal and the promo code, where applicable. For example, a recent promotion we found on the site for Eddie Bauer included 20% off plus free shipping on any outerwear purchases when using the discount code FALL.

Best Sites and Browser Extensions for Price Comparisons

Save yourself the hassle of digging into multiple websites to find the best price on items you’re buying online. Consumer savings expert Andrea Woroch recommends the browser extension Popcart, which sends a pop-up notification any time a product you’re looking at is cheaper on a competitor site. In addition to retail price comparisons, the browser extension also compares unit prices on items (check out this video to see how).
You probably already buy a lot at Amazon.com. Should it be even more? Install the Amazon Assistant browser extension, says smart shopping expert Trae Bodge of TrueTrae.com, to see how Amazon’s prices stack up as you shop products on competing sites. See how it works here.

Best Deal Sites and Browser Extensions for Coupons and Promo Codes

Our sources recommend CouponCabin.com for its vast collection of online promo codes and printable coupons that can be used in-store. Consumers can find deals from online and brick-and-mortar retailers such as Nike, Overstock.com, and Target. The site also maintains a list of retailers’ active cashback offers. Savvy shoppers might even be able to combine coupon codes and cashback offers to maximize savings, says TrueTrae.com's Trae Bodge.
The Honey browser extension helps save shoppers time and money by doing all the work, says Kyle James, founder of Rather-Be-Shopping.com. After registering for the site and downloading the extension, you’ll see a Honey widget appear when you check out at any participating retailer. The widget searches the web for all relevant promo codes and applies the one with the biggest savings to your order. A note to Amazon loyalists: If you’re searching for a specific product, this browser extension will track down the lowest price among Amazon sellers offering the same item and notify you. It even factors in shipping costs before selecting the best seller. Watch this YouTube clip for a tutorial on how to install and use Honey.
Next time you go on an online spending spree, consider using Cently, recommends consumer savings expert Woroch. It’s a browser extension that automatically searches for coupon codes while you shop, tests them, and applies the one with the biggest savings to your order. You can even score cashback on your purchases when using Cently. Unlike similar extensions, you don’t have to divulge your personal information by becoming a registered user. Watch this video to see how it works.

Best Site for Daily Deals

DealNews.com is a go-to resource for the retail experts here at Kiplinger. The site offers a curated selection of product deals -- ranging from electronics to home goods -- that gets updated daily. Bargain hunters can also find smart shopping tips on the site’s blog. Some recent topics include a list of the retailers with the best customer rewards programs, as well as determining when is the best time of year to buy a smartphone. Also, we often call on DealNews experts during the holiday shopping season for advice on where to find the best Black Friday sales.

Best Sites for Deals on Travel

If you’re planning to travel during the pandemic, you can still take advantage of historically low prices on airfare and hotel packages. To find the best travel deals, we often recommend these three sites to help get the most value for your money:

Best Sites for Deals on Gift Cards

No matter if you’re buying a gift card as a present or purchasing one for yourself (to prevent overspending), you can always find them at a lower price through an online gift card exchange site compared to buying directly from the retailer. Try these two:

Best Apps and Browser Extensions for Cash-Back Rebates

We’ve previously written about browser extension Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates) and why you should take advantage of its rebate offers while shopping online. Once you’ve downloaded the browser extension, sign up for a Rakuten account. After you’ve registered, you’ll gain access to 2,500 online retailers where you can earn up to 40% in cashback rewards. Participating stores include Bloomingdale’s, Kohls, and Sephora. You can also find travel and vacation deals from Expedia, Priceline, Viator, and VRBO where you can earn as much as 5% cashback after booking your travel arrangements. Rakuten even has a blog with helpful tips on how to get the most bang for your buck (and maximize cashback rewards) when shopping on partner sites.
If you frequently shop using a smartphone, consider downloading a mobile app such as Ibotta that lets you earn cashback on everyday purchases, suggests Rather-Be-Shopping.com’s James. You can score money back on everything from grocery items to pet supplies purchased through the app, which requires linking a credit or debit card to your Ibotta account.

Best Sites for Deals on Insurance

Don’t limit your comparison-shopping to traditional retail purchases such as clothes, electronics, and household goods. You can even use online sites and tools to help score the best rates on insurance policies. One such site we recommend at Kiplinger is Policygenius.com (listen to our Your Money’s Worth podcast episode with the company’s co-founder and CEO), where you can get price quotes for a range of policies including life, homeowners, auto, and renters insurance.
If you need life or long-term care insurance, consider using AccuQuote.com. You’ll have to cough up your contact information so an agent can follow-up with you directly at a later date, but you’ll immediately receive a list of insurers that match your profile and estimated monthly premiums for each plan. For help on selecting the right life insurance plan, see our story How to Shop for Life Insurance.

2021.01.14 16:16 STODracula Model 15t-dy200 and non-removable junkware

Just my two cents. I do expect always some garbage installed in laptops unless I buy them from Microsoft and sometimes BestBuy, but this one straight from HP was by far the worst in terms of junkware. It had appx packages from Amazon (multiple), Priceline, games packages, a bunch of unremovable web links (Had to delete Start menu links and folders), etc (so many can't even recall them now). The non-Microsoft packages were so baked in, the usual PowerShell command to remove them didn't work at all. Sucks, because otherwise, it's a very nice laptop with an 11th gen i7 Intel CPU and Intel Optane SSD. Would be way better without all the extra stuff in there by default.
Having said the above, because I know what I'm doing, I backed up all the drivers in the laptop, installed Windows 10 20H2 clean, and reapplied the drivers. Excellent laptop and runs great without the extras. Only small complaint now is the fan though is a tad loud (Well, as loud as in this 3 year old Lenovo X1 Carbon I'm using while writing this post).

2019.04.23 07:52 EmmaChen295 HP 15-ac121nr Review

The HP 15-ac121nr is one more mid selection notebook established for making waves over the notebook market place only due to the fact it's such a very good all-rounder.Also,the value is not 50 percent lousy, specifically if you can get it with a few kind of price cut.It has a pointy 1080p display for taking pleasure in flicks and images,a giant 1TB hard disk for your whole files and a gorgeous chassis that appears very good on your desk. When HP just decides to impress men and women,it turns loose its prime designers on its Spectre high quality design of laptops and ultrabooks. Now we are looking at the good types and fantastic general performance trickle down to the not-so-expensive desktop replacement laptops.Case in point:the most recent giving in the HP 15-ac121nr,that combines a number of the ideal aspects of competition hp fifteen w100ur charger in its course into a respectable and polished process. It is really evidently crafted to choose on last year's Toshiba Satellite L75,but it surely adds a different sixth-generation Intel Main i5 processor for increased performance, comparable to the Dell Inspiron i5559-3347SLV notebook. The most effective part, however,is how HP has priced the 15-ac121nr allowing for that it boosts an entire Hd screen. The HP Notebook 15-ac121nr pairs a full-HD display and a handsome structure with above-average battery existence, rendering it a reasonably superior worth. This Main i5-powered notebook isn't the swiftest in its course, but it really provides commendable multitasking effectiveness for your price. For that,it truly is our latest Editors'Choice for small-to-medium size business laptops.
Design
The HP 15-ac121nr's chassis is clad in the vibrant-silvered chassis,by using a resin textured fingerprint resistant protect, that offers the process a trendy fashionable appear. It steps 0.ninety six by 15.thirteen by ten.02 inches and weighs in at 4.83 pounds. That is a minimal leaner and lighter than the Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241,that actions 0.ninety three by fourteen.96 by ten.twenty inches and weighs a mere 5.eighty five lbs ..Even though a little utilitarian, the glance on the notebook continues to be modern, with all the signature dell p26t charger HP seem over the chassis and keyboard. You'll locate a fantastic array of I/O ports around the sides, including an Ethernet jack,an SD card reader, just one USB three.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, and an HDMI output. We've seen most ultrabooks eschew the DVD,but getting a notebook you've got a person in your previous flicks.Wireless connectivity arrives by way of 802.11bgn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0,allowing you link to a broad range in the hottest wireless hotspots and smart devices. The fifteen.6 inch Total High definition AntiGlare WLED-backlit Screen by using a optimum resolution of 1920-by-1080 is usually a actual ticker within this process. This is certainly something that could retain most customers glued for the display as we hardly ever see real 1080p resolutions on budget laptops. For instance, its immediate competitor the Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241,comes with a one,366-by-768-resolution,though they both of those share precisely the same screen dell 450 abju adapter size.A full High definition screen suffices for any person who is on the lookout forward to savoring videos and movie streams at close-to-crisp resolutions. You won't find a touch monitor on this technique, nonetheless it ships while using the hottest Home windows ten pre-loaded,so which is not a lot of of the concern as you can expect to appreciate Cortana and Microsoft Edge straight out-of-the box.Range crunchers will respect the total amount pad over the HP Notebook 15's keyboard, but the typing encounter is just adequate. The Chiclet-style keys have just 1.one millimeters of travel, which triggered me to base out quickly as I typed. The keyboard has practically no flex, even though. That helped me arrive at a typing speed of 108 text for every minutes using a one % mistake level around the 10fastfingers.com typing check, and that is about regular for me.The 4.eight x one.7-inch touchpad is precise but slightly slippery. It truly is created appropriate in the deck, which appears to be clean. Two discrete buttons are applied for still left and appropriate clicking - but both are on the rigid facet,so that you may want to take into consideration tapping to click.Gestures labored effectively, and that i pinched, swiped and zoomed across the Web dell 450 abju adapter without the need of suffering from any challenges.
Display
I must commend HP for placing a 1080p exhibit over the Notebook 15 - some laptops within this measurement accept lesser 1366 x 768 shows, including competing devices hp eliteBook 8560w adapter like the Toshiba Satellite L55-C5340 as well as the Dell Inspiron 15 5000.But despite the fact that the display is sharp,it will make various other compromises in good quality.I viewed the trailer for Ghostbusters over the Notebook 15's screen and observed that colors merely did not pop since they do on other shows. The slime that a ghost vomited onto Kristen Wiig was a pale pastel,in lieu of a shiny inexperienced, plus the blue ghosts traveling via Moments Sq. charger samsung 500t remaining trails that were a lot more pale than azure. The display screen reproduces only 63 per cent in the sRGB color gamut, which will help reveal the lack of vivid shades. However, other mainstream spending plan notebooks don't do much better - the Satellite L55-C5340 also protected sixty three percent; the Asus F555LA did somewhat far better,at 70 percent; as well as Dell Inspiron fifteen 5000 was worse,at fifty nine per cent. The Notebook 15 turned within a Delta-E shade accuracy score of 3.fifty one. That's not fantastic, but competing machines - such as the Inspiron fifteen, the Satellite as well as the Asus F555LA - were being fewer precise. And at 220 nits, the Notebook 15's monitor was not the brightest, possibly.I found myself cranking up the brightness in terms of it could go.The Inspiron 15 5000 fared better,at 239 nits, but each the F555LA and also the Satellite were dimmer, falling down below 200 nits. You cannot be expecting a laptop during this price array to generally be an audio superstar, although the HP Notebook 15 is going to be just high-quality for streaming video clips and hearing tunes when you look through the world wide web.Once i listened to Potential charger msi adp 180hb and the Weeknd's "Low Life" this laptop provided crisp mids and highs, and obvious vocals - I could quickly realize every phrase the Weeknd crooned - though the bass was a little weak.I tried to fix that using the included DTS Audio Control Panel application.Utilizing sliders and preset equalizers,I had been able to spice up the volume and vocal clarity, but I never managed to get the bass as highly effective as I wanted it.
Performance
Powering the HP 15-ac121nr is usually a sixth-generation Intel Main i5-6200U processor,8GB of method memory, and Built-in Intel High definition 520 graphics motor. The Main i5-6200U processor is currently quite standard for most laptops charger acer aspire 9805 unveiled late previous 12 months to this point, since it signifies a crop of rapid and energy productive class of processors, and if the user reviews are nearly anything to go by,then you're acquiring a real kicker in your every day computing demands.By having an 'in-house'2.2GHz Skylake processor that will clock as much as 2.8GHz in turbo mode, you be expecting the system to drag by way of most duties thrown its way with out the needless lags.Listed here we are chatting about Microsoft Workplace processing, light multimedia projects,World-wide-web surfing as well as some light gaming.Inside our assessments,it shipped sound multimedia effectiveness than most units in its class, nonetheless it was a little guiding the Lenovo Yoga 900 as well as the Dell XPS thirteen, the two pricier quality programs charger dell s2718d showcasing Main i5 processor. For storage, there's a 1000GB hard disk.Even though tough drives are not as speedy as solid-state drives,it may be forgiven for just a budget desktop substitution laptop,it truly is larger as opposed to 500GB harddrive space provided from the Lenovo G50,but will be the very same as being the 1TB from the Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241.Nonetheless,in as much since it is usually a spending plan laptop computer,we will not disregard one flaw within the 1TB 5,400 RPM in place of more quickly seven,200 rpm because HP felt that an SSD will drive the price a little better,so that they needed to stay with a slower HDD.However, one thousand GB remains more than enough real-estate to stash absent your media contents:films, films, audio collections and images devoid of stressing about restricted storage. If you need much more storage in your collections,to get a couple of bucks you may seize an exterior Toshiba Canvio Principles 1TB Portable Hard disk.If you want snappier charger asus adp 65gd overall performance, you are able to look at the ASUS Zenbook UX305UA which includes a 256GB solid-state-drive and delivers delicate efficiency, though however preserving an identical sixth-generation Intel Main i5 processor. The Notebook fifteen comes with a ton of software preinstalled, but very tiny of it truly is handy.Considerably of it is actually pure bloat, which include picture application Snapfish,TripAdvisor,Amazon,Evernote,Basic Solitaire,Hearts Deluxe,Flipboard,Candy Crush Soda Saga,Twitter and pretty much 30 game titles as a result of WildTangent. Moreover,a hyperlink to Priceline.com is during the Commence menu.Around the optimistic aspect, the equipment contains 25GB of Dropbox storage for a year.Even though the CyberLink suite of media applications will not slash it for pros, they could be useful to novice movie and photograph editors.HP gives minimal of its very own program - by far the most handy are HP Recovery Supervisor and HP Recovery Media Creation, that will help you make backups and restore your laptop. The Notebook 15-ac121nr comes with a one-year limited warranty. The HP 15-ac121nr has the following proportions:fifteen.13 x 10.02 x 0.ninety six and weighs 4.eighty three lbs ..These quantities would be the definition of typical when conversing about client battery hp 15-ac113cl oriented laptops. It is really not heavy plenty of for being thought of a nuissance when travelling, but it truly is not easy either. It is really somewhere in between, the place you'd need to choose it with you provided that you have to.
Battery lifestyle dell dgggt battery is rated at 7 hours and 15 minutes by HP.Genuine everyday living eventualities may perhaps reduce that range down by an hour or so,meaning the HP just isn't precisely vacation welcoming.Nevertheless,it really is properly resonable to implement it around the house, the school campus as well as place of work, exactly where operate times almost never require you to definitely be absent from an outlet for more than the usual pair of hours. The 15-series HP has an old-school 802.11bgn wireless card with connected Bluetooth 4.0 technology.Although you will not really feel the difference involving the bgn plus the ac protocols in ordinary situations, the new a person might have made it less complicated to your laptop computer to attach and to sign up bigger transfer speeds when it might be forced to share a router with several other friends. For typical browsing and streaming having said that, the bgn protocol will do the job just great! As you can see,the ports battery vpceg27fm that are delivered are what you would connect with conventional these days.
Features
Graphics overall performance usually are not top-notch,though the laptop computer claims clear-than-average visuals for multimedia jobs and movies. For gaming, you won't get a lot though the process generated playable frames frame rates. When the laptop isn't really designed to satisfy hardcore players, and positively will not produce the type of 4K graphics most top quality devices guidance,it does have some gaming capability,so long as you dial down the configurations and do not anticipate flawless general performance. For gaming and multitasking, the Dell Inspiron i7559-763BLK is a recommendable solution, thanks to its sufficient processing energy combined having a devoted graphics card. The process trumps the Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241 in battery everyday living. It lasted a fantastic six hrs 37 minutes on our battery rundown exam, while the Satellite C55 lasted 6 hours 13 minutes. The HP 15-ac121nr's battery lifetime is simply about plenty of to last an entire 6-hour workday, and positively enough to very last with a cross-country flight. We predicted a backlit keyboard such as the just one we observed over the ASUS K501UX and most ultrabooks; but that is certainly among the couple tradeoffs you should make so as to have a good procedure at a awesome price tag variety.Still, the non-backlit keyboard is at ease, but has keys that are flatter and even more murshy when compared to the 1 around the ThinkPad Edge E43.The space bar lenovo thinkpad x1 carbon battery is additionally in very good proportion into the wide keyboard deck. It's got an entire 10-key numeric keypad, which the Lenovo E431 together with other competition similar to the Acer Aspire E5-571-37SY and Lenovo Z40 lack.In the event you adore your films on DVD,this method features a built-in DVD drive that is just enough as most manufacturers are performing absent with optical drives since they concentration on generating the units svelter.
Conclusion
The HP 15-ac121nr Full Hd laptop computer is usually a excellent blend of structure, operate and overall performance with high quality touches, just like the latest sixth-generation Core-i5 processor,a novel style and design, adequate storage and 8GB of RAM.The fact that it provides all this in a midrange rate is just icing on the cake.In contrast using the Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241,the 15-ac121nr offers improved general performance,an excellent seeking and futuristic structure, and superior battery life, which makes it our Editors'Choice midrange small-to-medium size company notebook.I feel the HP 15-ac121nr is often a reliable preference battery asus g752vl for those trying to find a responsible all-rounder as well as really don't will need it to get ultra portable. It may lack some options, nonetheless it does use a excellent chassis, great hardware machines,a vivid quality display and regular options.Considering the cost and HP's willingness to actually boost the product for the reason that past model I have reviewed,I'd say that is a fantastic option for property places of work and operate environments alike.

2019.01.15 10:13 EmmaChen295 HP Envy AIO 27 Review

Beauty and perform come with each other nicely using the HP Envy AIO 27,a desktop Computer that has almost everything you should make it the center of your digital enjoyment planet. As opposed to quite a few all-in-one methods, the Envy has all its major elements packed into the base, enabling the 27-inch QHD touch display to stay light using a thin bezel. That is not all,the HP Envy AIO 27 is essentially the Go Go Gadget of desktop PCs.The base also capabilities a 19-inch extended Bang & Olufsen sound bar that naturally blends in with all the rest in the base while offering quality sound for music, videos, and games.Meanwhile, the screen has a built-in pop-up webcam, which can be pushed down in to the screen for added privacy and security.Ports, which include a SD card reader,HDMI In and Out,and USB 3.1 Type C,can be found on the right side and back in the base. When you add internal characteristics such as a Core i7 CPU,16GB of memory,Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M graphics and both a 128GB SSD and 1TB hard drive, you have got a system that goes beyond mere looks.HP has taken the all-in-one Pc concept in a different direction using the Envy All-in-One.Instead of building the Pc with all its components behind the display,HP has put the CPU,the motherboard, the storage, and the discrete graphics card in to the base. The result is an all-in-one with a very thin display, but 1 that's particularly well suited to enjoying media.Because of its high-end components and capabilities, the Envy All-in-One hp envy m6 charger has plenty of power for both multimedia creation and enjoyment, though we'd primarily recommend this system for the latter.
Design
Since the display from the EnvyBest Price at Amazon doesn't really have to house elements,it is quite thin. And because the speakers have also been moved for the base, there's no want for thick bezels on the sides; you get what's pretty much an edge-to-edge display surface. The screen is supported from the base by a chromed metal arm that gives it the appearance apple a1083 charger of floating. The system is mostly dark charcoal gray, with a slightly darker shade for the fabric grille covering the speakers. It measures 18 by 24.2 by 7.5 inches overall,so it will fit on a dorm-room desk or the dresser in front of one's bed. That display measures 27 inches diagonally, and has a 2,560-by-1,440 resolution. It's higher than full HD,though some AiOs,like the Asus Zen AiO Pro,have resolutions of 4K.It's not pretty as wide as the 21:9 aspect-ratio screen on the HP Envy Curved 34-A051 Signature EditionBest Price at Amazon, our last top pick, but most online video content fits the Envy All-in-One's display just fine.IPS technology ensures that you can view the display Lenovo ThinkPad T510 Charger from any angle, making it perfect for watching a movie with friends.Speaking of which, the speakers are as loud and clear as an external soundbar,so you're in good shape to watch in a bedroom or den.A pop-up camera in the top on the screen can be used to log in with Windows Hello or make Skype calls.Since the camera hides away,it's an extra measure of security in the parts of your home where you'd expect extra privacy. The display has Technicolor certification and a 99-percent sRGB color gamut. While that's a tad narrower than the DCI-P3 color gamut of your Apple iMac 27-inchBest Price at Amazon, these certifications help make sure that the colors are mostly accurate in videos and TV shows. The display also has a night mode that casts more yellow,so you can surf websites with less in the blue light that affects sleep cycles. The display has a 10-point touch sensor, and can tilt so you can use it from either a sitting or standing position. As opposed to the iMac,though, you can't mount the Envy All-in-One on the wall or on an articulated arm,one particular from the number of drawbacks to its design.Because the base is wide,HP incorporated a ring-shaped volume control on its surface. It is touch sensitive,so you can tap the center to pause music, and draw your finger Lenovo Y700-15ISK Charger around the circumference of the circle to raise and lower the volume. It's kind of like the old Apple iPod touch wheel, and is just as easy to learn to use.You will be utilizing it to control the volume more than you will the buttons on the included wireless keyboard.Speaking of your keyboard,it feels lots more luxurious than the simple plastic one on the HP Envy Curved. It's full size, but like the Apple iMac's keyboard,it has a short Z-height and is rechargeable. The included wireless mouse is a small oddly shaped, having a body resembling a small bar of soap, and using a palm rest hanging over the bottom to help it fit in your hand better.Connectivity alternatives are excellent, including a headset jack,an SD card reader, and a USB-C port with Thunderbolt 3 on the right side with the desktop. That trumps the iMac,which lacks USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 and has its SD card slot inconveniently placed in the back.On the HP's back panel, you'll find the jack for the AC adapterSamsung S24C230BL Charger ,an Ethernet port,an HDMI-in port,an HDMI-out port,a button for switching the HDMI source, four USB 3.0 ports, and the power button.Wireless connections are handled by way of 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.This version on the system is configured for power users. It comes with 16GB of RAM,which is certainly enough memory for most games, viewing multiple video streams, and multitasking. There's also a 128GB solid-state drive boot drive, which has some preinstalled software, including Instagram,3D Builder,Amazon,Candy Crush Soda Saga,Farmville 2,Houzz,Netflix,Office,OneNote,OneDrive,Simple Mahjong,Twitter,Priceline.com,and Dropbox,as well as a 5,400rpm 1TB SATA hard drive for storing files. The system comes using a one-year warranty.
Performance
The HP Envy 27's design looks very clean and elegant. The slim display is balanced on a thin metal stand, connected to the base where the many Computer elements reside. This design by HP is different from most All-in-One devices that are usually top-heavy.The build quality is solid too. There are no loose parts or rattling when moving the device. The 27-inch display has a 9.5mm bezel on the top and sides, and 11.1mm on the bottom. While it's not technically edge-to-edge,the small bezel helps keep a minimal footprint. The HP Envy 27 has an IPS display with QHD resolution. It's not as sharp as higher-end UHD displays, but many people won't notice the difference. The viewing angles are great, and I didn't see any color shifting when tilting the display. The stand only allows you to tilt the monitor up or down,so you'll also will need to move the base if you might want to swivel the display left or right.I was also disappointed that you can't adjust the height from the screen.Another issue I found is that Envy's display Asus ROG GL702VS Charger is highly reflective. It's fine when browsing the web or employing apps with light backgrounds, but the reflections are noticeable when watching movies or utilizing Adobe Creative apps which have darker backgrounds. On a positive note, the display is highly responsive to touch.I didn't have any issues with tapping, scrolling or pinching to zoom. There's also a webcam available for video calls and Windows Dell OptiPlex 7040 Charger Hello authentication. It pops up from the top of your monitor,so it keeps the top bezel to a minimum. You can also hide the webcam when you're not employing it by pushing it down. There are no buttons or ports on the display itself. They're all located on the base. The right side has the 3-in-1 media card reader,headphone/microphone combo, and USB 3.1 Type-C port. The back includes four USB 3.0 ports,HDMI 2.0 out,HDMI 2.0 in,Ethernet jack, power port, and Kensington lock. The addition of HDMI input is interesting because it lets you use the Envy's display for another device like a laptop. If your laptop has an HDMI 2.0 port, you will be able to take advantage with the Envy 27's native resolution at 60Hz.
The HP Envy 27 All-in-One also includes a wireless keyboard and mouse. The keyboard has an excellent build quality and with sufficient key travel. While there's no backlighting available, there are light indicators for the Num Lock and Caps Lock keys.I don't have something to complain about the keyboard other than the size of the Up and Down arrow keys.I wish HP made more space to include full sizes for these buttons. There's a micro-USB Acer Predator 17 Battery port to charge the keyboard when it runs out of battery.I'm not a fan of the included wireless mouse. The plastic material feels cheap, and I found it uncomfortable to hold.If you don't like it either, there are plenty of other solutions like the Logitech MX Performance. The HP Envy 27 has four front-facing speakers located on the base. They are angled up at 45-degrees,so they're firing off sound in the general direction Lenovo 01AV406 Battery of the ears instead of across the desk at your keyboard. And they sound amazing! They're loud, clear, and very capable of bass-heavy music. While you can use the keyboard to adjust the volume,HP also includes a touch-enabled dial on top from the base.Swipe clockwise to increase the volume or swipe the other way to lower the volume. You can also pause by tapping the dial or skip songs by swiping right.Even though I'm happy together with the default sound settings, you can customize the audio applying the built-in HP Audio Switch app. There are presets for Music,Movie, and Voice. The HP Envy 27 performs well with everyday tasks.Switching between multiple apps isn't a problem, and they open quickly thanks for the Intel Core i7 processor HP 15-au100 Battery and 16 GB of RAM.Making use of Adobe Creative apps like Photoshop,Lightroom, and Premiere Pro is surprisingly smooth too.The only problem I found is a strange one.The display intermittently turns black whenever I watch a Netflix video in full display, despite obtaining the latest graphic drivers. It's annoying, and the only workaround is to maximize the app window instead of watching the video in full display. You can certainly do some gaming on the HP Envy 27 with all the NVIDIA GTX 950 graphics card, but keep your expectations low.If you choose to play decent frame rates, most of the recent games like Gears of War 4 and Battlefield 1 need to have to be set in low settings.Gears of War 4 plays at 45 frames per second on 1080p at low settings and Battlefield 1 plays at 60 frames per second on 1080p at low settings. If you're looking for numbers, the HP Envy 27 got a multi-core score of 13,225 on Geekbench 4 MSI BTY-L76 Battery and 3,417 on the 3DMark Fire Strike Benchmark.Since HP's not marketing this as a gaming Pc,these results shouldn't be surprising.
HP on Monday announced new versions of its Envy AIO methods with 27-inch displays. The latest all-in-ones are upgraded across-the-board Samsung NP470R5E Battery using the newest six-core Coffee Lake CPUs as well as NVIDIA's Pascal GPUs.On the outside, the 2018 Envy AIO 27 retained design with the previous-generation systems along with 4K and QHD IPS display options from its predecessor, but internally it is a brand-new system and platform. The hardware is centered around Intel's six-core Core i7-8700T CPU, accompanied by NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1050 GPU with 4 GB GDDR5 memory. This is a significant upgrade from the quad-core Kaby Lake+Maxwell GPUs used in the previous generation. The new systems HP 15-f059WM Battery will come with up to 16 GB of DDR4 memory, and an up to 2 TB hard drive.Moving on to I/O.On the wireless side of things, the new units have dual-band 2x2 802.11ac Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 4.2.When it comes to physical connectors, the system is outfitted with a GbE,four USB 3.0 ports,1 Thunderbolt 3 port,HDMI input & output,a TRRS audio connector,an SD card reader and so on.The addition of Thunderbolt 3 port is important as it enables owners to use external graphics and storage subsystems with their AIOs,in essence upgrading them and hence prolonging their lifetime.Next up is audio.Just like the existing versions, the new models come with a dual-speaker soundbar co-developed with Bang & Olufsen that is definitely controlled by a capacitive touch-sensitive dial located on the base of the laptop or computer. As for audio input, the all-in-one Pc has a dual microphone array to ensure proper conference Asus G751JY Battery calls.Speaking from the base,it is noteworthy that the 2018 ENVY 27 has an upgraded wireless charging unit that can charge modern phones faster. HP plans to start selling the new ENVY 27 AIOs this month at prices starting at $1,400 for a QHD model with 8 GB of RAM and a 1 TB HDD.
Verdict
The HP Envy AIO 27 is an ideal desktop computer for home entertainment. It has a beautiful look, which is complemented by an impressive set of hardware options Acer Aspire V3-575 Battery and mid-range sound bar packed into solid base.Booting from SSD and loading games from its spinning drive was a breeze, and it's easy to sit in front of bright 27-inch screen and binge shows from Netflix. The system's flaws start to show once the movie credits roll. The Envy could have fancy looks, but they come at the cost of usability. The densely-packed keyboard, which is just about dwarfed by the included mouse, makes everyday tasks like web browsing and email a real pain. This could be solved by buying some new peripherals and maybe some extension cords, but that somehow seems wrong after dropping over a grand on a desktop. Additionally, appreciation for the screen's picture quality is diminished by its distracting glare. This is an issue that is definitely compounded by how the keyboard doesn't have backlighting, making it difficult to use in darkened rooms and the fact that it's important to reach around the computer system to reach the USB 3.0 ports.Given its hardware specs, performance, and competitive price, the HP Envy AIO 27 makes a great deal of sense for anyone considering an all-in-one desktop system. This could be the ideal computer for cord cutters who want almost everything in 1 convenient package. The HP Envy is well worth a second or third look.

2018.11.09 20:07 dozzang Question about Lenovo Legion Y7000

https://www.costco.com/Lenovo-LEGION-Y7000-Gaming-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---GeForce-GTX-1060---1080p.product.100454283.html
Legion Y7000's specs seem pretty much the best in it's priceline ($999)
but I see people keep recommending Dell inpiration 7577 or Dell G series instead
I supposed it was probably the brand value
Does brand actually matter in gaming laptops?
(I don't really care about warranties, I am taking them out of the states after I buy them)

2018.04.28 05:49 Inagnusnah IIWT Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes, here's an outline of how I plan to spend the winnings:

(Note: Pasted from Facebook Notes. Some formatting may be lost.)
(Edit: HOW DO I MAKE A PROPER OUTLINE ON REDDIT?)
I entered into the $7,000/week for life sweepstakes several times. PCH reports that there will be an NBC live TV event, at the winner’s residence.
What if that winner turns out to be me?
Should I win that sweepstakes or other, similar ones, here are my plans for the money:
Pay off all my private student loans (~$29k, 0% interest)
Pay back the CC bailout to family (~$3,550)
Pay back family for the new stove (~$800)
Pay Mimi’s (my youngest sister’s) student loans (~$9k)
Pay Natasha’s student loans (~$32k)
Pay Natasha’s CC ($unknown)
Tithe / donate to the Crosspoint Benevolence fund (at least $1k)
Tithe / donate to CrossPoint Lindsborg’s general fund (at least $1k)
Donate to Kansas Bible Camp (at least $1k)
Whiten teeth (~$500)
Laser teeth whitening: ~$1k-$1.5k
Install braces (~$6k)
How I will get my braces readjusted while on trips abroad is beyond me, but hopefully any local orthodontic center can do that. Their individual readjustment fees would be unknown and variable.
Get a liposuction (~$5k-$10k)
Remove unnecessary body hair (~$1 per hair follicle)
Pay for Mimi’s health insurance ($3.5k/year)
Get LASIK laser eye surgery (~$2.5k/eye, so around ~$5k)
Enroll in LearningRx brain training therapies ($1.8k-$12k, depending on number of sessions, my needs, etc.)
Enroll in Semester at Sea (~$35k-$40k/semester)
Flight to the ship’s port, in a Business Class seat, would be $2.7k-$3k.
Enroll at the Universitetet i Oslo (UiO) (University of Oslo) (Enrollment fee: ~$70; free tuition.)
Living expenses while there will range between $1.5k-$2k/month for typical students
However, lifestyle choices of a sweepstakes winner will easily outstrip that estimate.
To get a student visa will cost ~$138.
Info from here: https://studylink.com/countries/norway/
Trade in current car for a Honda Accord ($5k-$10k)
Less the trade-in value of a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited trim
Model years would be 2002-2013 (or no newer than 5 years before the date of purchase)
The Accord must have a loaded / “full” options package
Would be left with Mom when I go abroad because I owe Mom an Accord anyway.
She may loan it to Mimi or Natasha should their current cars break down.
Detail and fix some parts of Mom’s 2008 Toyota Urban Runner SUV
Detailing: ~$100
Fix the 2nd row passenger seat that can’t fold down: Up to ~$50
Replace bent rear bumper: ~$500-$1k
Replace chain-link fence with wrought-iron fencing ($25-30/foot)
Have a contractor finish the unfinished basement ($35/square foot)
The unsold military surplus merchandise and other items will have to be moved first, probably to a self-storage unit off-site.
Replace leaky toilet on 2nd floor with a new low-flow model ($300-$500)
Replace wood siding with vinyl siding ($4-$8/square foot)
Repair electric wiring and appliances in some parts of the home (electrician fees range between $60-$100/hour)
Some lights don’t turn on; the ceiling fan light on the 3rd floor won’t.
Garbage disposal on 3rd floor sink must be fixed.
Extend privacy fence to front sidewalk ($25-$30/foot with supplies and labor)
Replace wood back porch, steps and ramp with composites (~$8,000-~$9,000)
Replace all windows with triple-pane windows ($450-$700/window, depending on size. Higher for bigger windows.)
Hire a housekeeping company to clean the home top-to-bottom ($25-$50/houmaid)
Hire a professional organizer to neatly rearrange the home ($30-$80/houorganizer)
Hire an auctioneer to auction out military surplus and other unneeded / unused items ($1k or 15% of proceeds. Depends on the individual auctioneering agency.)
Any unsold items in an auction must go to a consignment seller.
Miscellaneous bathroom fixes ($unknown)
The showers on the 3rd floor and Dad’s office bathroom need particular attention.
3rd floor restroom sink knobs need replacement
The water filtering mechanism, in the 3rd floor restroom’s furnace closet, may need attention
Fix door issues
Front door needs lock replaced (~$50)
Door from kitchen entryway to the piano room needs its knob and locking mechanism replaced with a non-locking passage knob (or lever). (~$50)
Install solar panels on the roof ($3/watt, or $30k for 10KW solar system; $20k after 30% tax credits)
Install 10 kw wind turbine on the “gravel island” of our front yard ($48k-$65k)
Order the AORUS X5 dream laptop ($12,070, after $242 2-day shipping)
Dream laptop’s configuration: http://www.xoticpc.com/shared_product/index/configure/id/61006/
Donate $1k to Prairie Independent Living Resource Center, Inc. (PILR)
Gift $1k each to Ericka Fischer, Adam Fortna and Megan Hayse in gratitude for their help in getting me situated.
Pay for Brian Goodwin’s teeth removal ($150/tooth)
Then pay for his new dentures ($1.5k-$3k)
Donate $1k to Circles of Hope Reno County.
Continue taking guitar lessons from Mitchell Probst ($30/hour)
Go on a 12-night cruise on a Norwegian cruise line ($167/night, or $2k total.)
Extra costs like premium dining, casinos, and tourism while docked at ports-of-call may amount to an extra $1k.
Norwegian cruise info page: https://cruises.priceline.com/sc.do?tab=activities&i=903433&c=34&v=660&IncludeAlumniRates=false&IncludeSeniorRates=false
See Waddell & Reed about how to manage the new wealth and make the best of it.
Figure out, with their help, what stocks to invest.
Move all possessions by sea, which take 6-9 weeks ($4.6k-6.3k)
Calculated here: https://www.reallymoving.com/quote-forms/international-removals
Get a Norwegian permanent residency permit (~$388)
Eventually apply for Norwegian citizenship (~$463)
Info link: https://www.udi.no/en/important-messages/increased-fees-to-apply-for-residence-permits-from-1-january-2018/
There might be more ideas to come along, but that’s all I can think of for now.
Once I’ve settled so many matters here, I’m moving to Norway to go back to college, get naturalized, start a new life and family, and become their citizen.
I’ve prayed several times to win this sweepstakes. I subscribe to the parallel universe theory; hopefully this parallel universe will be my universe to have the best, most prosperous life, while others may have the best life in their other parallel universes too.

2015.07.30 05:04 chelley93 Mental Health Road Trip; thoughts, advice, comments welcome!

Hi all,
So for the past year or two I've been stuck in a weird depression/life direction crisis. Particularly, the thought of graduating from college and getting a real job terrifies me, as it will lock me down to "the man's" schedule.
I recently started going to counseling and taking control of my depression. I've felt much better than I have in years, but the joy I want to feel in my life has been missing.
Now, on a bright note, I got a job back in April that allows me to work full time from home (living for free with friends, at the moment) for $11 an hour which, for me, is plenty. I pay off my car in October which will leave me with $500 per month total to allocate towards whatever the heck I want.
I got this idea to do a road trip from Mobile, AL to Salem, living mostly out of my car, couch surfing, or getting super cheap hotels on priceline for about a month. I sat down at a restaurant the other day, started planning it, and the JOY I have been missing came back! Every time I sit down to organize my stops and things I want to see, I get so so happy. I know I need to do this before I follow my original plan, which was to save and lock myself into a year long apartment lease.
That said, I'm using www.furkot.com to help me plan the routes, and I'm quite happy with that. Have note cards for all my departures, arrivals, rest stops, and attractions. I'm a 21 year old female going it alone, but I'm not really scared. Plan on driving 3 hours a night, could plan to rest a few days in a town if I really like it, not a very stuck itinerary, as long as I stop somewhere with Wi-Fi for work.
Any tips, item suggestions would be great. I'd like to buy a big battery to charge my laptop and phone with. Putting a mattress in the back of my Jeep Cherokee, have a full size spare, emergency kit, ice chest (probably going to keep a good stock pile of canned goods like Ravioli in the event of hard times). I've never done anything like this before, so if I'm missing some pertinent details, I'd appreciate it.
If you have a similar story, please share!

2013.07.04 07:15 Technospider Are V-moda M-100's my best option?

I am about to start my first year of university, and I wanted a pair of headphones that were durable and portable. These headphones are in the right price range, and seem to fit the bill perfectly, but I was just wondering about your guys's opinion, or if you have any alternatives! Thanks in advanced!
Edit: just noticed I needed criteria for buying advice
Budget: >$400. I really dont care as long as it is under that priceline. I already own a pair of koss portapros.
Source: My laptop and my Samsung Galaxy S2. I do not intend on purchasing any DACs or Amps
Requirements for isolation: I would prefer some passive isolation if possible, but I will not dismiss any good open ear headphones if they are suitable in other aspects
Prefered type of headphones: Over ear. I own two on ears already, and would like something heftier now.
Tonal balance: I am not a base head, but I listen to quite a lot of electronic music. Mainly Electro swing. I really am not sure which balance is most suitable to that. I am however, very okay with obviously base heavy balances.
Past headphones: Koss porta pros which suited me very well, but was embarassed to wear in public. Annd Sennheiser PXC 250ii's which I am not overly happy with.
Preferred music: As I stated before, I listen to a lot of electro swing. If you are not aware of that genre, here is a teaser http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j95HbhTl60k. I also listen to a lot of Ratatat, Gorrilaz, Daft punk, But I would like for it to work well with all genres, as I enjoy almost all types of music.
Location: I reside in British Columbia, Canada.
Thank you again for any help!

2013.05.26 23:13 regevs Where to stay in a 3-4 days visit this July?

Hey Austin people, I need your advice. This mid-July I am going to be visiting Austin for 3-4 days, and I'm wondering where I should stay.
Ideally, this visit will include part working and part touring in daytime, and visiting friends in the evening. So a good place to stay would be a walking distance from colorful, laptop-welcoming cafes with good food; and if they can be a walking distance from some nice bars and/or music venues, even better. I don't mind having a car and I don't mind driving to whatever tourist attractions there are - apparently not a lot, it doesn't seem like the focus of the city.
Some basic research shows that maybe Downtown and SoCo are the places to check out - is it true? Are they uniformly suitable (thus allowing for options like hotwire/priceline) or should I strive to be in more specific areas?
Thanks!

2012.06.25 20:13 the-horace Complete Air-Travel Newb - Any tips?

I've never been on an Airplane before much less inside an Airport. For a long time I was basically scared of flying in a plane. Still nervous, but can't get around it this time (well, I could, but it's faster and I need as much time on my hardly-paid-vacation spent vacationing as I can get).
Any tips? I've seriously never even been in an airport. I already got my round-trip tickets through priceline. First mistake was waiting one extra day, and they shot up 40 bucks.
I know this sounds like a dumb question, but if I have my bag with all of my clothes/essentials in it, and I also bring my laptop carrying case, does that count as 2 bags I have to pay fees for? Also, can I bring my laptop on the plane?
Any airport tips are helpful. Won't know what do to when I get there. Airport'll be DFW by the way. I already know not to drive there myself, as not to pay to park for 2 weeks. But anything else will be helpful.
Thank you!
