Alas Feels

2017.10.06 00:58 Alas Feels

This is a safe haven for people who needs a space to "make hugot" or release their (mostly negative) feelings and thoughts about love and relationships (self-love, romantic, familial and friend connections). Mope, vent, cry, drunk-type or share your feelings, make hugot, post related poetry and prose, you name it. It's because there are times we don't really need one's advice, pity or lesson; we just need to release it, then we can go on with our lives.

2024.05.21 23:10 ColossalChulk I'm writing a speech and need to make dyslexic jokes at my best man

Throughout our friendship he's made fun at my dyslexia so I'm trying to think of some ideas or play on words that I could incorporate in my speech that I could use to make a couple jokes at him.
Thought a forum of writers will do much better than just trying to work it out myself :)

2024.05.21 23:10 okpretzelsisthesame Antagonizing Coworker Makes Me Want to Quit

I’ve been at this job for four years; office environment. This coworker, she started on our team of 6 about a year and a half ago and has had some sort of issue with me since arriving - constant passive aggression and snark that I figured was just a character flaw. But it’s very pointed even when I try initiating conversation or being friendly- we’re the only two women on this team after all.
Mentioned a Halloween party I went to? “do you use ouija boards or just give off that energy?”
Was eating a salad one day. “You look like you’d have a gluten allergy. Do you have a gluten allergy?”
I mis-remembered the name of a place and laughed off my mistake, she says to our team “that must be what Florida public schools do to your brain” (we’re in the Midwest, I’m from FL)
To name a few. Then about a year ago I started dating a guy at our work. My boss calls me in the other day to say that said antagonizer made a complaint about ME; That apparently my relationship bothers her… My SO hardly ever comes by and if so, it’s to bring me lunch or ask about plans later. I was genuinely confused. My boss was telling me that he doesn’t expect me to do anything different but just wanted me to be aware. I’ve never had a work complaint, but a baseless one from someone regularly after me was incredibly frustrating.
It’s such a small team. I just try to make it through the day. I don’t know if this is even considered “bullying” but what’s to gain from bringing it up? It’s every damn time I join in on a group conversation, and it’s always snarky remarks to me alone- never the men we work with. And the money sucks too, hard to find a reason to stay at this place but job searching is terrible. I’ve played nice, but she can go step on a Lego at this point.

2024.05.21 23:10 RyouVacosa Working with thicker styrene sheets

So somewhat related to Adams recent video on vacuum forming Styrene, it got me wondering about something and I'm hoping some seasoned model makers here will be able to guide me.
I'm planning a model build in the next few weeks that will involve panel work being applied to an existing model for, bulking the sides of a tank to make the armour appear thicker and reinforced. But my aim is to bulk by at least 3 to 4 mm on both sides, so the extra bulk is both exageraged and noticeable even from a display distance of 4 to 5 foot.
But, where I am unsure here is what thickness of sheet to use. Should I use 1mm,which I have stock and could start right now in theory, and then to make the thickness I'm after, carefully bond layers until I get the desired look? Or should I start thicker, 2.5 or 3mm sheet, and then create the panel effect over this? If the thicker base is the way to go then, how is thicker styrene to work with? Do I need to transition from a knife to a hobby saw to make sure o get the crisp lines I'd achieve with a knife and scoring on thinner sheets?
Apologies if the answers to this are all very basic and common sense, but this is the first time I've planned tk use styrene of this thickness, so I'm trying to limit early and easily avoided mistakes by deferring to your collective knowledge. 🙂

2024.05.21 23:10 thatsundayfeel Mouse skates?

Hey everyone. Just picked up a glorious model I V1. Best mouse ever. Perfect for my big meat-paws and light. I'll be flicking on people in Apex with ease. I do have a concern though. I use a razer sphex mousepad and previous to this mouse I was running a Razer Deathadder V3 and the mousepad ate through a set of skates about every 3 months. I've replaced them twice already. I've heard mixed things about the skates that come from factory for this mouse and it looks like glorious only sells replacements of the ones they have on the mouse already.
Does anyone know if any 3rd parties make some for this specific mouse? I saw ICE ones but they were for Model O, desperately need Model I.

2024.05.21 23:10 aznpersuazion Is Online Tutoring Worth it? Reviewing Online Tutoring Websites

Hello fellow tutor aspirees, side hustlers, academic extraordinaires. I’m here to give you the scoop on the various tutoring platforms, how their services work, tutoring requirements, the types of students on each platform, and of course - how much you get paid for your time.
A little about me. I’ve tutored for a few months now on the following platforms: Varsity Tutors, Wyzant, and SuperProf. I’ve had a number of students on each platform, and it’s safe to say I’ve definitely realized the pros and cons of each one.
Wyzant
Money Info: You set your hourly rate. Wyzant takes 25% of it. If you set your rate to $20/hr you get paid $15/hr.
The Requirements: Each subject you tutor you have to take a 10–20 question multiple choice test on it. The test will be beginner to intermediate questions on the subject you’ve chosen. You only have one chance to pass the test.
The Pros:
The Cons:
Final Verdict
Wyzant is an easy to use platform that takes a while to build a student base. You’ll have to apply and reach out to students a lot at first before you start getting more consistent jobs. This can take a few months, so consider this before you start. The 25% fee is high, but certainly not unreasonable compared to other platforms.
Varsity Tutors
Money Info: Unless you’re tutoring GRE or LSATs, the flat rate is $15/hr, regardless of the subject. GRE and LSAT tutors make $28/hr. Varsity Tutors charges their students $50 - $75/hr.
Requirements: Most subjects do not require a test, however you do need to send in a video interview of yourself, mostly to confirm that you can speak eloquently.
The Pros:
The Cons:
Final Verdict
Varsity Tutors definitely has the lowest pay amongst all the platforms. $15/hr to teach is what you can make at some retail jobs in the US. The platform can be better if you need to start making money immediately, or if you live in a country where the cost of living is lower. The amount you are paid is better for people who are teaching subjects that aren’t too difficult.
SuperProf
Money Info: You set your own rate, SuperProf takes 10%. The caveat, SuperProf charges students $39 a month to use the platform.
Pros:
Cons:
Final Verdict
SuperProf is very similar to Wyzant in that students and tutors can openly communicate and set up time with each other. The 10% fee is lower than the other platforms. But because it’s already hard to get started as a new tutor, and there are less students on the platform, it’s one of the harder platforms to build a student base.
Additional Notes
While all these platforms have their pros and cons. You can always consider tutoring independently. You do not need any licenses or business registration for tutoring in most places. Once you get a student base through Wyzant or SuperProf, you can take them off-platform and teach independently. The best part? You keep the money you work hard for.

2024.05.21 23:10 graciebirdy Mom of MTF trans kid needing guidance...maybe?

I'm going to preface this with an apology if I say something wrong in my post—this is all very new to me. It's going to take some time to learn to navigate this issue without completely putting my foot in my mouth.
My child recently came out as a trans girl. It was shocking, but I've tried to be as reassuring and supportive as possible; last term I even took some gender studies classes as electives in my degree program to learn more about gender issues.
She's only 14; she's never given any indication that she was trans, and there's never been any overt gender dysphoria (or any, for that matter that I've observed). I asked how she knew, and her response was that she's always been drawn to female avatars in video games.
She's come out at school, but not to family and still dresses male presenting. I suggested that until she's ready to come out fully, that using non-binary pronouns might be a good middle-ground so that if she does make the transition it's kind of eased into? but I kind of worry that I just wanted to give her an out so that if she decided that she really doesn't know who she is, the nonbinary identity can be walked back from easier than a full public transition? I don't know. I just don't want to fuck this up and traumatize them by saying or doing the wrong thing.
I am fully board with supporting her as she figures out who she is, but I do have some doubts about her being trans. But I don't know how to discuss it with her or even if I should. I know gender is fluid and that not everyone's journey is the same. I don't know. I'm not even sure why I'm posting here.
I just worry because sometimes it feels as if want her to be wrong... I know that's probably selfish. I just want to protect her.

2024.05.21 23:10 Entire-Vermicelli-86 Mounting UFS frames off-centred

Hi, I have a question for you all owners of UFS frames.
I want to upgrade my skates from my loved RB Pros, and I have an opportunity to get a pair of CJ2 Primes on my size. This would imply shifting from 165 to UFS mount. Given the praise that the CJ2s receives on the forums, I am ready to give them a try and make the transition, despite me already owning a couple of rockered frames in 165 mount (4x100 and 5x80) which will be no longer used.
However, I have a big concern relative to UFS. I have an over-pronating left ankle, and mounting the frame centred on the skate makes my ankle hurt badly and have poor control with that foot. With all my 165 frames I am able to shift the frame several mm inwards, which helps a lot to achieve a neutral skating stance, with no hurting and also much better edge control. I have been researching available UFS mounts for wizard skating on the internet, and no one seems to offer side bias / adjustment. Is that really the case? Has anyone been able / is there a way to install UFS frames slightly off-centred on the skate's longitudinal axis? Since that might be a big NO for my investing in a new skate system.
TLDR: Are there any UFS frames that can be mounted slightly off-centred to help achieve a neutral skating position for us with over-pronating feet?

2024.05.21 23:09 Ella77214 I had a bad day and am feeling super bummed out

My boss "jim" and I don't have a natural chemistry. We constantly miscommunication. Like we both speak two different languages.
If we met one another outside of work. We would never be friends just bc our personalities are so different. My personality is too "big". I'm professional but I get very excited about new ideas and projects and I love working hard and what's worse - I'm enthusiastic about working hard.
He is very introverted. And just has the opposite demeanor.
I recognized early enough on that I should scale myself back with him and that less was more.
But no matter what I do - I'm always doing it wrong or I'm doing the wrong thing according to him. I have a lot of experience and I'm smart. And I always thought that my personality may not be for him but we worked well together bc we respected the others one intelligence and experience very.
But it finally landed with me - - I realized that he not only doesn't like me, he thinks I'm stupid.
For months, he already vehemently disagrees with anything I say. No matter what I say or how I say it. He never supports anything I saY or tell staff. And contradicts me with staff and has been wrong for it. He seems to be happiest when he knows I am doing menial work. I have to keep and projects I have secret. If he finds out that I am doing anything that involves using brain cells, he will assign it our from me to someone else.
And it's so hurtful but today was a real bad day as far as his open display of his contempt for me goes. All the following happened today:
  1. This morning, he sent an updated staff assignment sheet showing who should contact staff for what area of.concern. he asked us all to review it b4 he published it on the intranet. He had at least 15'-20 items listed for each team member. My name was at the very bottom. Be had two items listed. He sent me a note and told me I should add more responsibilities of mine if I could think of any.
  2. I received a salesforce question from staff. Salesforce isn't my area, so I pinged both him and my colleague who manages it to communicate it. Denise responds with an answer to the inquiry. And I thanked her. Then my boss wrote "that's an excellent approach, denise!" And it's not that he complimented her. It's that it took him complimenting her to make me realize in that moment that he has never said one nice thing to me about anything I do in the workplace.
  3. Yesterday, Our sales team sent he and I a fairly standard support request with a non standard caveat. I responded and indicated that I could not immediately comply with the request without confirming that what they wanted wasn't a compliance violation. He replied all and said it was fine and to do it. I really struggled and ultimately decided - without consulting him - to email our CIO and legal and I CCed him and I relayed the request and relayed the concern I had. And without naming names I said I was being pushed to perform an action that I was not comfortable performing until I knew that action was compliant. Today, The 4 of us had to get on a call. I was told I was really smart for contacting them and that it wasn't compliant and good catch on my end. Jim didn't acknowledge any part of the conversation one way or another. He just said he would talk to sales.
  4. Our team has our first stand up call as part of a new meeting series. It's a 3 min round Robin where we all go thru and quickly update the team on what we are doing. Ive been coaching denise on product implementation (unbeknownst to jim). I recently led a project of hers (in secret) while educating her on the why behind the scenes so she wouldnt need me for her next project. I directed her every action item. I provided guidance, support, timlines. Today she announced the close of the project. Jim was ecstatic and singing her praises. She looked so uncomfortavle. She repeatedly credited me with mentoring her. He would not acknowledge any claim of hers to give me credit. there was 6 minutes left on the call by the time it got to me (I was last). I ran thru my current tasks super quick.
  5. Our weekly 1:1 meeting was next. He was20 minutes late. I was very eager to show him something I had spent weeks working on (bc I do care about the work. And I love working. I can hide my enthusiasm but it shows in my work. Multiple industry pros who I have worked with in the past have praised my project plans and audits and other efforts as "the gold standard." Our company was late to adopting agile methodology. I am an agile pro. He's been dragging his feet on committing to it but it's a directive from higher up. Today, I presented him with the "skeleton'" if you will of our teams roadmap. I built everything for him - just the bones, the automation. I added my own work to it aa a demo. The outline that all he would have to do is fill in. This was something that would have taken him hours of time to do if he had attempted building it himself. Which is why he kept putting it off.
Before presenting these boards to him, colleagues from different departments had stumbled upon them and asked me if they could clone my work over to their own workspace and did I have any mgmt tips for them. I did not share this with him. I'm not a bragger but I do take great pride in my work. I low key worked on our boards outside of office hours. I was determined that this would finally win him over. Bc I've never quite understood how he treats me. My personality isn't for everyone, I know that. And I'm not perfect. I've contributed to miscommunications between us before. But I've tried really hard to be what he needs me to be in this organization in my role. And today I was going to do it. I was determined it was going to be our watershed moment. I proudly unveiled my boards. He waved them off. Made a remark that he thought it was so interesting to see what people got passionate about in the workplace. That he thinks it's funny that they usually think they're helping the organization when they are really making it all about themselves. He then throws in "and I say that in the nicest way possible." He then told me I had talked for way too long on our stand up call. He said I had to dial it way back next week. That the entire team did not have time to sit there and listen me ramble.
And I've been sitting here sobbing ever since. That pushed me over the age. Normally I can shake it off, I can separate, I like myself, I know I work hard, I know that I am smart. So I am pretty quick to let go of all the ways he chooses to diminish me on a fairly regular basis. But this was alot of hits to take in one day. I'm embarrassed to admit that he really took the wind out of my sails today. And I feel so stupid. I feel so fucking stupid. And I just want to quit. I don't want to work here anymore. This feels awful. And everyone loves him. He's every employees favorite guy. He is universally beloved at my company. So surely I must be the problem, right? And we ve talked about our miscommunication and I've done everything I can but I guess I just rub him the wrong way. I am always either not doing enough, doing roo much, or I'm doing the wrong thing. And I just needed someplace to vent while I cried my eyes out.
Tl; DR: boss is really mean to me, today he made me cry, I need to make a plan to quit

2024.05.21 23:09 Chance-Zone Sealing grout with glass tile

My contractor installed glass floor tile in my bathroom, but did not seal the charcoal grout I chose. He claims that grout already included sealant and you can't seal over glass tile as it leaves a residue.
The problem is that if any water drips on the grout, it makes it look black temporarily and then goes back to looking kinda light gray. I want the grout to look darker - have that wet look.
So... can I get this look by applying sealer to the grout-lines only with a small paintbrush? If so, what product should I use? It's a small half bath, so this is something I can do by hand.

Hello everyone!
In column P I have some text which is something like regular expressions for the possible answers for gap fill sentences where:
/ means OR means separation of two parts of the answers (because each part costs 1 point) text in () means you could use it or skip it
In column Q I want to have a list of all possible answers decided by CHAR(10)
For example: in cell P6 I have:
"DOES NOT/DOESN’T EARN NEARLY SO/AS DOES NOT/DOESN’T MAKE NEARLY SO/AS"
In cell Q6 I want to have:
"DOES NOT EARN NEARLY SO DOESN’T EARN NEARLY SO DOES NOT EARN NEARLY AS DOESN’T EARN NEARLY AS DOES NOT MAKE NEARLY SO DOESN’T MAKE NEARLY SO DOES NOT MAKE NEARLY AS DOESN’T MAKE NEARLY AS"

2024.05.21 23:09 Bucho_Da_Black1 Yoru/Asa will be Denji's first

Yoru/Asa will be Denji's first
Chapter 166
Denji accepts Katana's offer and head to Katana's brothel. It burned down so no sexy time for denji.
Denji then suffers a break down that most guys have had at some point in their lives. He blames his dick for his problems.Yoru then offers to cut it off for him to fix his problems.
I accept that this might just be horny brain talking but what if Yoru makes him an offer so she can fight Chainsawman?
We’ve already seen that she’s willing to use Asa's body to achieve her own ends in chapter 99. Instead of cutting his dick off- she gives him what he’s always wanted (to have sex) and he let’s her fight Chainsawman afterwards to regain her powers. She could even pull a fast one and just pull the cord on his chest when he least expects it.
The biggest flaw I can see is that Asa would protest. There’s also all sorts of consent problems with this scenario.
Speaking of Asa, what if Yoru is instead dead serious about giving Denji the snip. He’s out of his mind and at his lowest point so he’s willing to go along with anything to make the pain go away.
She offers up her self to “save” him just as she said she would last chapter rather than have him mutilate himself in a failed attempt to fix his problems. Asa is a bit of people pleaser so it’s not impossible. If Denji accepts Yoru could pull the cord during just as before to initiate her fight with Chainsaw man.
No consent issues here (Yoru doesn’t really get a say since its not really her body). Yoru would likely protest heavily. Asa has also shown a normal reaction to the pervy talk around her so this is really a long shot theory.

2024.05.21 23:09 LatteFreeKingDa Should I get a quick cash loan if I can pay it off soon?

Long story I'll try to make short. Girlfriend and I got in an accident two years ago, not at fault, car was totalled. We got a lawyer. Our insurance and the other party's was able to cover our rental car costs, until we couldn't, and we had to buy a new car to go to work. We got a used car in good shape, but on a 26% interest loan that was super hard to pay off, and after being behind for too long, the car got repossessed, and I have about a week to get it reinstated before we're stuck with paying for a car we no longer have.
Good news is, the settlement from the accident has FINALLY been closed and our checks are making there way over, but just not in time for us to use that money on the car.
We've already gotten so much help from friends and family on other matters, it seems our outside resources have been exhausted.
From what I understand these cash loans suck and are incredibly dangerous in the long run... but assuming my check will be here shortly after, is it my best option? I have no credit, yet. The car loan was on my girlfriend's credit which is currently suffering.

2024.05.21 23:09 Soverylonelytoday I am so sorry baby girl

Baby girl I am so proud of you. You don't look, talk or act like other kids your age, and I know that none of that is your fault or mine. Tomorrow you will graduate and I am so proud of you. I have told you this over and over, and I know that you may not understand, but that doesnt make how I feel untrue. But I owe you an apology. A few years ago, I made a terrible mistake, and ruined our lives, I was the reason you had to leave your teachers and friends that you had grown up with. You should have been graduating with them, where you were understood and loved by your peers and teachers in a way that you are not here. I am so very sorry that I have robbed you of that. I have tried so hard to be a good mommy for you, even when I have failed, it was never your fault. I am sad that our family isn't the team we used to be, but we are trying to be there for you and your sisters regardless of what is happening between your Daddy and me. I will sit in the stands tomorrow, filled with joy for how far you have come and for all the live and joy you so freely give, even when I don't deserve it. Thank you for being you. I thank God that He gave you to us, so that we can see what unconditional love and childhood innocence looks like (even when mixed with teenage hormones, lol). I love you Sissy and my heart is bursting with pride for you, today, tomorrow, and every day that will follow. 😘

2024.05.21 23:09 Imaginary_Archer4628 Place to discuss different gamifing life methods & techniques

Hi,
the subreddit seems to be quite abandoned but maybe someone will find it interesting that we created a subreddit to discuss different approaches to gamifying life. This is because many people in many different apps/tools are designing different working ways to make their life life playing a game but there is no single place where this all could be discussed.
If you are using LifeRPG in an interesting way and you would be willing to share how, please do it, let this techniques get improved and more popularized.

2024.05.21 23:09 Chaserivx Tragic but interesting bluebird story

Last fall a male bluebird showed up in my yard to scope out the bluebird house that I put up. Eventually he brought his partner, and together they spent more and more time in my yard, eventually going inside the bluebird box consistently. Fast forward to spring, they came back! I was delighted. Again they spent lots of time scoping out the yard and scoping out the box. Eventually they began to build a nest in the box and I was elated.
Shortly after this, she laid some eggs. Shortly after that, the eggs hatched and I watched every day as they took care of their babies and fed them during the daylight hours.
The amount of time I watched these birds throughout the day would probably be considered ridiculous by most people. I learned so much about their behavior and their habits. They were wonderful parents and a great pair. Periodically I would take a look at their nestlings, who were all in excellent health, although one of them seemed to be less responsive than the others.
One day I watched all morning and there was no activity at the Nest. Nobody going in and out. This was very strange. After over an hour, I went out to check out what was going on with the nest. When I opened it up, I discovered the male was dead inside. This was absolutely heartbreaking. I put on some gloves and I removed the male, And I had my partner film as I examined the body. I didn't see evidence of a physical altercation, however that same day another male bluebird showed up. I know he was different because he looked different, and he was acting different. He was chasing away all the other birds and was scoping out the property the same way that the bluebirds were scoping it out in the fall. So I figured he killed the other male.
Strangely enough, the new male took over. He participated in feeding the babies with the female, and as sad as it was for the original bluebird to have died I was happy that at least there was a pair again.
A few days later, I see the same thing happening at the nest. Hours go by and nobody's going to the nest. I finally go out there and I open it up and I find the female is dead inside. My heart dropped. Two of the nestlings were very lethargic and not very responsive, whereas the other two were very energetic and responsive.
I did my research, and I brought them inside and took care of them as I contacted local wildlife rehabilitation centers in my area. Eventually I found somebody that would come and pick them up. I cared for the two that were healthy and they were healthy all the way up into the point that I gave them away. Unfortunately the other two died.
Here's the crazy part. I'm just dumbfounded at what happened and so I'm watching the Nest constantly all day. Suddenly the male shows up again. Shortly after that, ANOTHER female shows up. Together they start scoping out the property and the nest the same way that the original pair did last fall. Based on their behavior, it seems like they are not familiar with the nest the way they would be if they were the original bluebirds. While the male is easy to distinguish from the original, I have a harder time with a female and I'm using her behavior to distinguish versus physical appearance.
In my research it seems that this is extremely rare, and very unfortunate, for bluebirds to kill each other. I wonder if anyone has experience with a pair of bluebirds aggressively killing and taking over another pair's active nest. The weirdest part about it is that the second male bird seemed to care for the nestlings for many days before killing the female. So heartbreaking.
I have lots of theories but I'm interested to hear yours. I'm very interested if anyone else has direct experience with this type of behavior in bluebirds.
Also- The new male is doing something strange. He sits in one spot and sort of flicks one wing at a time, one after the other over and over again.

2024.05.21 23:09 croc1973 How do I seal this up

I made a water feature that will sit on top of my tank, a 40 gal breader. It is made out of foam board. It has a 2" pvc supply pipe, not pressurized. What ever product(s) I use must be compatible with both to make a water tight seal. There are voids in some spots of the foam board that will have to be filled in also. I am very pleased with how everything turned out so far, so it would be really disapointing if it was to leak.

Unfortunately actually buying the damn thing is harder than actually playing it and makes no sense whatsoever so here's how to get it for cheap (at the suggestion of someone on the Hitman sub) because IoI made it extremely stupid and confusing.
When you go to the steam page (in the USA) you will see 4 big options
Buy HITMAN World of Assassination Part One ($30 but currently on sale for $12)
Buy HITMAN World of Assassination ($70 and not on sale)
Buy HITMAN World of Assassination Deluxe Edition ($100 and not on sale) - This is basically the base World of Assassination game plus the below Deluxe Pack, so includes everything except for the little DLCs below

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1659040/HITMAN_World_of_Assassination/ Buy Hitman World of Assassination Part 1 for 60 percent off. It gives you access to all the maps from Hitman 2016 (which I'll call Hitman 1 for the rest of this post) but doesn't give you the Hitman 2 or 3 maps, nor Freelancer, nor VR.
https://store.steampowered.com/sub/981937/ Upgrade pack that includes all the Hitman 3 maps, Hitman 2 maps (except the ones included in the "HITMAN 3 Access Pass: HITMAN 2 Expansion" Yes I know it's absolutely stupid) and all the stuff except the base Hitman 1 maps (which you have). It is unlisted for stupid and shady reasons.
Now you should have everything included in the $69.99 Hitman World of Assassination "deal" for 40 percent of what you would pay normally. Despite the game itself not actually being on sale.
The Deluxe Pack ($30) includes
HITMAN 3 - Deluxe Pack - Adds some extra "escalations" directors commentary and some other minor stuff
HITMAN 3 Access Pass: HITMAN 2 Expansion - Contains New York and Haven (& the associated missions) which take place during the main story, along with the Sniper Assassin gamemode and a few other missions. Most important of the 3. Buy this if you only can afford/want to buy one. You will notice this has very negative reviews. This is because IoI already charged for this when Hitman 2 was out.
HITMAN 3 - Seven Deadly Sins Collection - Seven 3-stage missions that are "eh" to "ugh"
There are also some minor DLCs. Sarajevo Six were some PS4 exclusive missions from Hitman 1 that are kinda bad, The Undying Pack lets you kill Sean Bean, and the rest are just cosmetics and extra weapons that aren't even worth mentioning.
What the fuck were they thinking with this??? Who the hell knows.
This game is mostly fine vanilla. There's a bit of jank but it's not like New Vegas or anything.
https://thepeacockproject.org/ lets you play the game without internet plus play elusive targets at any time.
Freelancer Variations lets you play the alternate versions of each map in the Freelancer game mode. If you are on Linux or Steam Deck you will need to use Windows or a VM to actually install the mod since SMF does not work at all (I tried) but once its deployed it works fine.

2024.05.21 23:09 BubonicNun Referencing primary activities in secondaries + abbreviations

Hi all, looking for some insight. When writing secondaries, can I just reference the activity in my primary? Or should I make each essay completely standalone and re-describe the relevant primary activity? This would really add to the word count especially for Why Us essays, but I’d rather do it right
Also, if a school has a specific program on their website (ex: SHIELD, CAPS, etc) that they abbreviate, can I use the abbreviation in the secondary for that school?
Thank you!

2024.05.21 23:09 Puffie_slippers Stay Warm and Stylish: The Ultimate Guide to Puffer Winter Shoes

Winter is a season that calls for cozy layers and practical footwear. One of the latest trends to hit the market is puffer winter shoes. These innovative shoes combine the warmth and comfort of puffer jackets with the functionality of winter boots. Here's everything you need to know about this stylish and practical footwear choice.

What Are Puffer Winter Shoes?

Puffer winter shoes are a hybrid between traditional winter boots and puffer jackets. They feature an insulated, quilted design that traps heat, keeping your feet warm even in the coldest temperatures. These shoes often come with waterproof or water-resistant materials, ensuring your feet stay dry in snowy or wet conditions. With a range of styles and colors, puffer winter shoes are both functional and fashionable.

Key Features of Puffer Winter Shoes

1. Insulation

The primary feature of puffer winter shoes is their insulation. Typically filled with synthetic fibers or down, these shoes provide exceptional warmth, making them ideal for freezing temperatures. The quilted design helps retain heat, ensuring your feet stay cozy all day long.

2. Waterproofing

Many puffer winter shoes come with a waterproof or water-resistant outer layer. This is crucial for winter wear, as it prevents snow and slush from soaking through to your feet. Look for shoes with sealed seams for the best protection against moisture.

3. Traction

Winter conditions often mean slippery surfaces. Puffer winter shoes usually feature durable, non-slip soles that provide excellent traction on ice and snow. This ensures you can walk confidently and safely, no matter the conditions.

4. Comfort

Comfort is key when it comes to winter footwear. Puffer winter shoes often have cushioned insoles and flexible materials that allow for natural foot movement. This combination of comfort and warmth makes them perfect for long days outside.

5. Style

Available in various designs, from ankle boots to high-tops, puffer winter shoes can match any winter wardrobe. Whether you prefer a sleek, minimalist look or something more colorful and bold, there's a pair of puffer winter shoes for you.

How to Choose the Right Pair

When selecting puffer winter shoes, consider the following factors:

Climate

Think about the typical winter conditions in your area. If you face extreme cold, opt for shoes with high-quality insulation and waterproofing. For milder winters, a less insulated pair might suffice.

Activity Level

Consider your daily activities. If you spend a lot of time outdoors or walking, prioritize shoes with good traction and support. For more casual use, comfort and style might take precedence.

Fit

Ensure your shoes fit well with enough room for thick socks. A snug fit is important for retaining warmth, but they shouldn't be too tight, which can restrict circulation and lead to cold feet.

Material

Look for durable materials that can withstand winter wear and tear. High-quality synthetic or natural down insulation, waterproof fabrics, and sturdy soles are essential components of reliable puffer winter shoes.

Top Brands to Consider

Several brands are leading the way in puffer winter shoes, offering high-quality options for every budget:

The North Face

Known for their durable outdoor gear, The North Face offers puffer winter shoes that combine functionality and style. Their shoes are perfect for harsh winter conditions, featuring excellent insulation and waterproofing.

Sorel

Sorel is synonymous with winter footwear. Their puffer winter shoes are no exception, providing exceptional warmth, comfort, and traction. They offer a variety of designs, from casual slip-ons to more rugged, outdoor-ready options.

Columbia

Columbia's puffer winter shoes are designed for active winter lifestyles. With advanced insulation technology and waterproof materials, their shoes keep your feet warm and dry, whether you're hiking, skiing, or just walking in the snow.

Conclusion

Puffer winter shoes are a must-have for anyone looking to stay warm and stylish during the colder months. With their innovative design, exceptional insulation, and fashionable appeal, they offer the perfect blend of comfort and functionality. By choosing the right pair, you can enjoy winter to the fullest, no matter what the weather brings. Stay warm, stay stylish, and step out confidently in your puffer winter shoes this season.

2024.05.21 23:09 jfirstcode Toyota Financial reported payment(s) as late to credit file when they were not

Hi all,
I've been having an issue with Toyota Financial Services since January of this year.
From January through March, I would make my payments per usual and I noticed the money was not being taken from my bank account and the payments would fail a few days later. I was able to get them paid successfully and then April rolls around. Same issue happens again.
I then call them and the representative on the phone tells me on their end they have the money for April and there is no issue. I go about my days as I am under the assumption it is paid.
Fast forward to April and I get an email from Experian saying there has been a change to my credit file. I see Toyota Motor Credit flagged me for being 30 days past due. I call Toyota the next day and explain the situation (again) and the woman on the phone tells me it was a mistake in their system and it will be removed within 30 days, along with them mailing me a letter reflecting what she had just told me. At this time I then created a dispute with Experian.
Yesterday I get a letter in the mail from them saying what I believed was incorrect is correct in their system and they are reporting to agencies correctly.
The entire ordeal dropped my credit down ~40 points and it seems I have little to no recourse with Toyota in fixing this. I have documentation backing up that during this time payments were attempted to be made (and were successful before their due dates) and that April's payment was not only paid, but posted before its due date.
After calling today, the woman on the phone essentially told me I am SOL and all I can do is just dispute it with credit bureaus and Toyota (again). I was lied to by them twice and it really seems like I am out of luck here.
Any ideas on how to move forward? I called a little later today and was told I can send a letter to their dispute department outlining the issue and they will proceed with it if they believe I am correct. Has anyone had a similar situation and had any luck getting this removed?

2024.05.21 23:09 DuniyaMadarchod Should I unblock him?

Help me out girlies! Please
So he broke up with me in November '23. I moved out in December and nothing since then. I've been in full no contact since March. I begged and pleaded initially when we were living together for one month. He has reached out thrice since February to return some of my things on separate occasions that I forgot at his place. Always curious about what I'm up to.
Last month also I went over to his place again to pick up a jacket that he found in his closet. Again, I have not initiated any of this. The sexual tension between us was too much. He asked me why I blocked him and I said it was for me to move on. I didn't stay for long. But he asked me share a joint and a beer. I just took a puff. After this meeting he wrote me a message about how fortunate he was to have me in his life, being loved by me and yada yada. He has a big ego problem and even if he wants to get back I doubt he would ever make a move because of fear of rejection. My response was neutrally positive. He just heart reacted my last message.
Now he's been blocked for 3 months. I really want this guy back in my life since we broke up because of too many arguments which were not even toxic. Is it a good time to unblock him? Also do you think he would block me if I unblock him because of his ego?
Let me know.
