I want to preface this by saying I do not sex shame, I was a sw-er for a few years of my life. Two things that stood out to me were Jill Ann saying the girls would “cheerlead” Hef in the bedroom with “Daddy chants.” The second was the excerpt about Holly wearing a strap on and stroking it while the other girls did the girl on girl acts ????? I understand not wanting to tell everything that happened in the bedroom, but both Bridget and Holly (especially Holly) have been really forthcoming with the bedroom stuff and have repeatedly said “we have said all there was to say about it!” Sis I think not I love Holly (duh, see my pfp) and I feel like she really is upfront about things. They have talked about Jill Ann’s book but NEVER those two things, just glazed on over it I would’ve been like- yeah that’s bullshit, OR, yeah that freaky shit did happen. How could Bridget not feel the cultiness of it all with the cheers, chants, matching pajamas (that she wants to sell as merch), the rag routine… etc Anyway when I tell you I just read this chapter 5 seconds ago and ran over here, I mean it. I’m sorry if this isn’t a well thought out post or appears judgey because I truly have no judgement towards them. More interested in the girls response (or lack there of) to this part of the book also RIP Jill Ann I guess but she still looks like a ghoul in these pics and I’m mad she did the girls so dirty like this |

Anyone have suggestions for shrubs/hedges that offer good privacy and would do well in SW IN? We are in hardiness zone 6 but the evergreen shrubs that I can find either won't work with our clay soil or are questionable at best for zone 6. I really don't want to fork out the $$$ for plants that will die out the first few winters we have.
Looking for something that will offer privacy between two properties, less than 10ft tall, and preferably evergreen.
I've considered/researched cherry laurels and red tipped photinia but these both seem to either do well or die but nothing in-between.

Was troubleshooting it not working after the previous electricians had taken it out and put it back it.
Couldn't get the damn thing to turn on and I check a box and find the switch leg to the J-cord had a 47mfd cap spliced into it. Took it off, fed the switch leg straight from the sw and it worked
I'm curious why they did this. Were they under the assumption it was low voltage?

I’m a social worker at a unionized org and we have a SW director that came in maybe a year ago and at this point it’s pretty clear that she’s undercutting the union. She keeps talking about how she wants to increase communication and collaboration, but anytime we advocate for ourselves she says we’re being unprofessional and not being collaborative. She has this very subjective view of professionalism and collaboration and she uses this language to shut down everything. We’re doing what we can when our bargaining agreement is violated but I don’t know how to stop her with this language. Morale is so low. We work in an interdisciplinary environment and if a non-social worker starts something with us and we try to stand up for ourselves it’s seen as “unprofessional,” no matter how professionally we handle it.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Not sure if I’m asking for advice or just commiserating.

Hi all, week 3 on 2.5 move to 5 in two weeks.
as I have been putting my mind to how I feel, it is similar to how I felt when I was keto adapted.
My initial experience was almost instant total loss of interest in sugar, Out side of day 6-7. Had a symptoms similar to the keto flu after the first shot.
Checking my ketone breath and blood I initially had very high (for me) ketone 4-5 mmol/L (about 72hr) that has since dropped to 0.4-1 mmol/L consistently.
Which is consistent with becoming keto/fat adapted / metabolically flexible.
I was wondering what others experience has been, different/ similar?

I haven’t noticed feeling much different with 2.5mg and 5mg each for 4 weeks and haven’t lost more than a few pounds. Curious when others really started to notice Zepbound “working.” I’m trying to hold on to hope! Just picked up 7.5mg today.
For context: SW: 190; CW: 186; GW: 155. Current BMI of 26.6.

I (21yof) am interested in sw/ct. Looking (realistically) at the SERE specialist route but truly want to go pararescue route. I’ve talked with a few people who are active, done a decent amount of research, etc etc and my results for women pj’s is basically jack sh*t.
Is it still an “unrealistic” goal? I do have a background of intense and very physically demanding sports/full-time work/etc but I know that doesn’t really mean anything. I’ve pretty much only seen people say that women literally can’t physically do it. Even saw someone go so far as to say our hormonal cycles make it impossible (… 😂)
Currently not really concerned about entry level physical readiness, already pass the “prerequisite” requirements/bmt baselines. (Run/ruck/swim times and push/sit/pull ups) Squat is 250, DL 315, bench can be worked on (135 now, but never really trained for more). But I know realistically as a female you can really only go “so far”.
Advice? :)
