The Case for KENDU - "Info" Journal #4

The Case for KENDU -
INTRO:
Here is the fourth installment (third was two weeks ago) of data/information on $KENDU, a ‘memecoin’ built with a plan around a strong dev with experience and vision. THIS IS NFA, but merely me sharing my perspective on this coin and in this case one key aspect about this project. I have been in the crypto space since 2017 and as of about 8(?) weeks ago I had avoided touching memecoins altogether. I had a plan, but it all got derailed when I kept digging and reading and looking at KENDU. Yes, I have a bag, but that doesn't mean I am trying to tell you to buy. I merely want to provide an avenue for you to see the facts and come to your own financial choice.
Point #4: Kendu Miazaki has a complex vision, wealth of experience and wisdom to grow this project just like any fortune 500 multi-billion dollar company. This may be the last point I am covering, but maybe it should have been the first. Arguably it was the second point as Miazaki seems to be the one who shared his vision for the culture, ethos, community building expectations in KENDU’s Telegram.
DISCLAIMER: Humans love to dig into the lore of really popular TV shows, manga, books, video games, etc. Sometimes they even invent their own ideas as part of what naturally happens with something that is popular and I am intending to do something similar, so the word info is in quotes as it would feel disingenuous otherwise. I really had to dig into the wealth of resources (1. TwitteX Spaces 2. Official $KENDU YouTube 3. TG chat) available to learn as much as I could and piece together a character profile or ‘understanding’ of this crucial human, which $KENDU seems to be centered around, and to inform anyone crazy enough to read this. I really enjoyed listening to Miazaki speak, especially being invested in this project. I found it informative, compelling, and entertaining. He is a deeply fascinating human who clearly is an OG, but make no mistake I had some serious reservations about writing a piece about a human I have never met. I put the term “Info” in the title in quotes as I have used my higher-order thinking skills ( inferential, reasoning, synthesis and bullshit artisting) to really come to some conclusions.
DISCLAIMER #2: Things got really crazy and I had too many quotes and tried to weave them together and the time just got later and later. I am not sure how this will end up reading. Hopefully the underlying themes about Kendu Miazaki come through.
The House that Miazaki Built:
Community Building 101: Kendu Dev Talk #2 (3/20/24) : He opened up the dev talk by saying how he already called someone out and caught someone for telling everyone to chill and then dumping on them. He came back to this point later and called ‘Cag’ (?) out for making six sells on the chart. He does not like Jeets and wants people who are going to buy into the long term vision of the project. Without that conviction and commitment the project will never fulfill his vision and achieve the legacy he wants! The project has to be built on a strong foundation NOT “a house of cards” that will crumble and rug everyone with the slightest bit of pressure when the normal ebbs and flows in crypto happen. All organic was a must and this surely comes from the experience and lessons learned from being involved in SHIB and testing Shibarium. He also talks about the community and the need to keep building the community more before the next phases. To me, he just oozes experience and vision, but also he has no problem ducking with people. Dev talk # 2 he talks about some high level business stuff and then fields a question deciding to look up a Google definition to mock the person in the talk thus reinforcing his expected culture.. I believe what he does often is called code switching, but it done with a purpose to reinforce the culture while also maintaining his expertise. He does it often using high level business terms or crypto specific language while explainiing and then using words that are not PC these days in America to reinforce culture and then immediately dumping deep knowledge about how crypto markets and people in crypto behave right after. Back and forth he goes. I have heard him described as unhinged, but his personality shines through in those kernels between the information or answer.I find it fascinating and only gives me more confidence in our Jefe! Overall, listening to him speak and talk about the project is amazing to behold.
listened to Dev talk #13 and heard all about this original IP of Kendu, but he doesn't give a cluck. He doesn't own it. You want to put KENDU in your video game, make merch whatever. People have the freedom to do what they want. A community member started the merch store around 1 million market cap; Miazaki doesn't have time for that (no dapps, that is his only no). This really freed me up to go for it and I think Miazaki is NOW more than ever going to be the most important aspect of this puzzle To understand as a billion and beyond is in sight.
A Multi-Billion Dollar Vision:
-Dev Talk #2 - Pay developers, maintain bottom line
-DEV Talk #2 ***around the 9-minute Mark Miazaki goes into KENDU cash*** and once it launches it is going to send Kendu to the Moon! "what I have planned is very special" I'm sitting in a $9,000 a night penthouse...I want to make you guys %$cking rich. I want Kendu Inu to be number one.” (5:30 mark) These were all quotes I took from the above dev talk (I had some organization and may have messed it up and mis labeled stuff…don’t be a lazy jeet and listen yourselves). He has such a strong vision and much of that can not be shared with us for what I think are obvious reasons (trade secrets, intellectual property, way that markets react and move, NDAs?), one of which is that he said you only get one K Cash launch and it needs to done right..
(dev talk #13): "The better KENDU does, the better MEGA is gonna do. It's that simple. It's almost a free ride." Quote speaks to the Ecosystem’s depth and complexity.
"I am so numb to this shit, that I get my dopamine from Slattbah." I feel nothing" (chuckles) "I have been in crypto for a tad too long" "We are gonna make the next generation of Ethereum whales." He has believed from the beginning that this is going to be a MULTI billion dollar company and so much he has said has come true from people jeeting and not staying strong to the ties and connections he promised back in March 20th to what is needed to roll this project out and reach the milestones to how fast things are going right now since we crossed the 100 million MC level. It is going really fast and it has been foretold by Miazaki. You should be listening and DYOR.
Deep Connections for an Honest man:
He tested Shibarium back in the day for SHIB and clearly he gained many connections from his previous crypto experience. One such connection which has now been proven is the connection to Shytoshi Kusama. I am not going to get any photos to verify that everything that was said was proven, but I will say that in Dev talk #2 48:10 he says: “stay on this trajectory, taking supply from jeets, evolving..keeping volume…no excuse for us not breaking 1 mil in the next 24 hours... don't want to waste a connection on something that is not concrete...we are talking about a top ten crypto influencer” CONFIRMED.
“Everyone takes risks I am taking risks about IRL connections in the club and real life relationships (next level event organizers)...hinting at 1 billion party....something that produces something to society” Love to hear this piece and again his word will come good in time. He even closed the 6/9/24 X Space: “There is no excuse period. Right. Let’s run it up. Be abusive, do whatever you have to do…to get it to 1 billion in the next seven days.” Yes unhinged sure, but deeply committed to his community and like any human who has acquired wisdom, he likes what he likes and hates what he hates and for damn good reasons.
https://preview.redd.it/g09aq75yxu5d1.png?width=842&format=png&auto=webp&s=354385ed06bdbd7f4aa62865f03f02ecbbac3359
He has built a ravenous community that polices itself with exceptionally strong Loyalists that have a wealth of experience (film producer to the SHIB subreddit mod to a ravenous social media influencer to really experienced crypto OG who may have given too much information and the list goes on) that runs 24/7 around the world. When Miazaki says things you really should trust and listen. So the above verifiable quote is gospel to me and there is still plenty of gains to be made before the full bull kicks in in 2025.
Click for a good chuckle, but also really encapsulates so much about Miazaki
Final point: Miazaki says all the time: “You know what I mean?" I don't think anyone or only a very select few actually knows what the f*** he means, but that doesn't matter. He knows exactly what he means. He has a detailed vision backed by experience and he is doing things with purpose in a meticulous way. This is just like any CEO would do to build a multi-billion dollar company that is going to be around for a long time and won't go broke. He also surrounded himself with an elite crew of Loyalists who do the work all the time and only take their helmets off to sleep…a bit. The success really seems programmed now and I could not be more excited for the future.
Next Episode = This may be it we shall see! If you don’t get it by now, you may just wait until everyone is talking about us and that is okay to buy in at the multi-billions. I have heard our Dev/CEO say that SHIB had 1.4 million holders (think it was him, or someone in TG). This one got off the rails bad it feels, but like Miazaki, I did it for all of you. I am not going anywhere and my bags are packed!

P.S. This was a risky move writing about the boss himself and although I asked him in a recent space to call me a cuck and really mean it (he did it and he put his heart into it), some might consider this risky, but he does inspire so much in his team. While this moment really gave me all the feels, if you don’t see me active in the TG for a couple days, I probably punched a ticket on the bus…

Thanks for reading and I hope I at least reached one person. I have no idea if this was just writing for an echo chamber or if some people with patience and research skills dug into this series. Happy cryptoing in this bull cycle! You have been informed!

2024.06.11 04:59 CrispCoconut89 NSV? Increased libido

35F sw 356 cw 268 gw ??
I started Mounjaro last year in March and this change didn’t happen right away but has been crazy lately after nearly 90 lbs down. It was gone but not lost - my sex drive is back in full force.
With a combination of age and mental health drugs, I thought “this is my new normal” when I started experiencing decreased libido but now I’m thinking it had much more to do with my physical health.
I researched if the Mounjaro itself had any correlation to what I’ve been experiencing lately (which can only be described as extreme horniness) I actually found that some people report diminished desire with the hormonal change.
Anyone else experiencing major shifts either way? I’m counting myself lucky and channeling all of this into positive energy.

As a reviewer, I've had the pleasure of using the Hatsan S/Roto Index Magazine in my daily life, specifically with my Hatsan Flash airgun. The lightweight synthetic and acrylic design has been a game-changer, making the gun easier to carry around.
One feature that stood out for me was the magazine's 10-shot capacity in. 25, which has made my experience much smoother and more efficient. However, I did notice that it's a bit more demanding when it comes to ensuring everything is lined up just right. On the flip side, I've experienced no issues with jams, and the design has proven to be sturdy.
Overall, the Hatsan S/Roto Index Magazine has been a reliable and efficient addition to my airgun, and it's clear that many other users have had positive experiences as well.

As a huge fan of RC vehicles, I was thrilled to get my hands on Yaesu Shuppan's latest release, the 6.8 SPC magazine. The moment I cracked it open, I was immediately drawn to the 2.0 mm HEX drivers, a fantastic addition to the world of RC enthusiasts. It's great to see that Yaesu Shuppan has continued to innovate in the field, adding new and exciting features to their products.
However, what I found most intriguing were the RC troubleshooting guides included in the magazine. As someone who has run into their fair share of difficulties with my RC toys, I can attest to the value of having resources to help me overcome these challenges.
While working with the 6.8 SPC magazine, I did encounter a couple of minor hiccups, but nothing that detracted too much from my overall experience. The quality of the materials used in the magazine was impressive, even if it may not be up to the standards of glossy magazines you'd find at a local bookstore.
All in all, for RC enthusiasts and those who are just starting to get into the hobby, the Yaesu Shuppan 6.8 SPC magazine is a must-have. With helpful guides and innovative features, it's sure to keep you in the loop and entertained for hours on end!

From the moment I opened the Spring-23 issue of WWII Quarterly Magazine, I felt transported back in time. The detailed articles, written in an easy-to-follow style, made me feel like I was part of the action, whether it was during a major battle or a lesser-known event.
One feature that stood out for me was the use of maps and photographs throughout the issue, which helped me visualize what was happening during the war. The in-depth coverage of different geographical locations where the war was fought was fascinating, and I especially enjoyed learning about the intelligence operations of the time.
The detail given to specific weapons, aircraft, and military equipment was impressive, and really added depth to my understanding of the conflict. I also appreciated the occasional reviews of related products, like books, movies, and games. These helped me explore different aspects of the war, and discover new resources to broaden my knowledge.
Overall, the WWII Quarterly Magazine is a must-read for anyone interested in World War II history. Its engaging style and accurate depiction of events will captivate readers from start to finish.

🔗Vedder MagDraw G2S Magazine Holster: Comfortable Carry for Spare Mags

I've been using the Vedder Holsters Taurus G2S MagDraw holster for my spare magazines, and I must say it's been a game-changer. This sleek, ergonomic design allows me to carry my magazine comfortably without any bulk. I particularly love the adjustable retention feature, making it perfect for that snug fit.
And the rock-solid paddle clip with Vedder's proprietary tactical non-slip texture ensures it stays in place on my belt, preventing any movement. Oh, and the fact that it comes in over 75 colors and patterns? .
It's a great way to add some personal flair to my gear. But sometimes, I wish it could fit wider belts, and I wouldn't mind a few more patterns to choose from. Overall, though, this holster has made my shooting experience more enjoyable and hassle-free.

🔗Retro Gaming: January 1992 Nintendo Power Volume 32

I recently got my hands on the January '92 issue of Nintendo Power, and let me tell you, it was a blast from the past! As a seasoned gamer, I was impressed by the sheer amount of content packed into this vintage magazine. From the moment I opened it, I knew I was in for a wild ride.
Super Castlevania IV featured prominently in this issue, and I couldn't resist delving into its dark, eerie world. As I navigated through the game's twisted corridors and battled the devilish inhabitants, I couldn't help but be reminded of my childhood gaming days. This nostalgic journey was only enhanced by the wealth of other gaming articles covering a variety of genres.
The magazine's monthly publication schedule was one of its standout features. I found myself eagerly anticipating the next issue, always excited to see what gaming gems lay ahead. However, I did notice that some articles were written in dated language, making it a bit difficult for me to fully connect with the content.
Overall, I had a great time immersing myself in the world of Nintendo Power. The vintage magazine provided a treasure trove of information and tips, perfect for both seasoned gamers and newcomers to the industry. If you're a collector or simply a lover of gaming history, this issue is definitely worth a look!

What stands out for me, however, is the comprehensive coverage of the knife industry's newest players and the results of rigorous tests and evaluations. Sometimes the gear showcased is not to my taste, but the sheer diversity of it all makes it a delight to browse through.
All in all, Knives Illustrated certainly lives up to the hype and is a must-read for every knife aficionado.

Buyer's Guide

Choosing the right G2S (Gaming, Gadgets, and Gizmos) magazine can be a daunting task, especially given the wide variety of options available in the market today. To help you make an informed decision, we've outlined some crucial factors to consider when selecting a G2S magazine. ### 1. Content Focus
Different magazines offer unique content focuses, catering to different interests within the G2S category. Some may focus more on gaming, offering in-depth reviews, tips, and strategies on the latest games. Others may concentrate on gadgets and gizmos, featuring news, specs, and hands-on reviews of the latest tech devices.
Consider your primary interest in the realm of G2S and opt for a magazine that aligns with your preferences. Some G2S magazines may also cover all three aspects, but it's essential to know which area they emphasize the most.

2. Magazine Format

G2S magazines come in different formats - print, digital, or both. Print magazines offer a tactile reading experience but can be environmentally unfriendly. Digital versions are eco-friendly and often more cost-effective but may not offer the same visual and tangible experience as a print edition. Consider your personal preference and needs when choosing the format.

https://preview.redd.it/anhf9dgkxu5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6ab3987e031b4aed30ada0f6e1a4f59a80a98b8

3. Accessibility

Ensure the magazine you choose is easily accessible to you. If you prefer a physical copy, consider the circulation area and frequency of the print magazine. For digital editions, check the compatibility with your device or operating system and explore the platform where it's available (e. g. , iOS, Android, or any other compatible platforms).

4. Frequency

Frequency of publication is another essential factor to consider. If you want up-to-the-minute news, opt for frequent issue releases. For a more leisurely pace, a quarterly or biannual publication schedule might be more suitable.

5. Credibility

Researching the magazine's credibility and reputation can also help inform your decision. Look for positive reviews and recommendations from trusted sources or gaming communities. Established magazines with a solid track record are likely to provide reliable, unbiased content.

6. Price

Subscription prices vary significantly across G2S magazines. Determine your budget and factor in whether the magazine offers value for money.

7. Free Trials and Samples

Some magazines offer free trials or limited-time promotional offers. These can be valuable tools to get a feel for the magazine before making a long-term commitment.

Wrap Up

Choosing the right G2S magazine requires careful consideration of your preferences and needs. By keeping these factors in mind, you'll be well-equipped to select a publication that delivers valuable insights and enjoyment in the gaming, gadget, and gizmo scene.

2024.06.11 04:52 SettingDependent1234 Here's a story

In the early 1960s, a young track athlete named Phil Knight was studying at Stanford University. Knight had a vision: to create a company that would provide high-quality running shoes at an affordable price, challenging the dominance of German brands like Adidas and Puma. His passion for running and innovative business ideas formed the foundation of what would become a global powerhouse.
After graduating, Knight embarked on a journey to Japan, where he visited the Onitsuka Co., known for its Tiger brand running shoes. He struck a deal to import their shoes to the United States, convinced that these lightweight, high-performance shoes could revolutionize the American market. In 1964, he teamed up with his former track coach, Bill Bowerman, to create Blue Ribbon Sports, the predecessor to Nike.
Bowerman was not only a coach but also an inventor. He was constantly experimenting with ways to improve athletic performance, often using his athletes as test subjects. One of his early experiments involved pouring rubber into his wife's waffle iron, creating a new type of sole that offered better traction and cushioning. This innovation laid the groundwork for Nike's future success.
In 1971, as Blue Ribbon Sports began to gain traction, Knight and Bowerman decided it was time to create their own brand. They needed a name and a logo that would encapsulate their vision and stand out in the competitive market. The name "Nike" was chosen, inspired by the Greek goddess of victory, symbolizing the spirit of triumph and excellence.
The iconic Swoosh logo, designed by a graphic design student named Carolyn Davidson, was created for just $35. Knight initially had mixed feelings about the design but hoped it would grow on him. Little did he know, the Swoosh would become one of the most recognizable logos in the world.
With a new name and logo, Nike released its first line of footwear, including the innovative "Moon Shoe," which featured the waffle sole that Bowerman had developed. These shoes were a hit among runners, and Nike's reputation for innovation and quality began to spread.
The 1970s and 1980s were a period of rapid growth for Nike. The company's breakthrough moment came in 1972 when several top athletes wore Nike shoes at the U.S. Olympic Trials, garnering significant attention. Nike capitalized on this momentum by signing endorsement deals with prominent athletes, most notably Steve Prefontaine, a charismatic and talented runner who became the face of the brand.
Nike's marketing strategy was revolutionary. Instead of focusing solely on product features, they emphasized the athletes who wore their shoes, creating an emotional connection with consumers. This approach was exemplified by their famous slogan, "There is no finish line," which encouraged people to strive for continuous improvement.
In 1984, Nike made a game-changing move by signing a rookie basketball player named Michael Jordan. The Air Jordan line of basketball shoes, launched the following year, was a phenomenal success, transcending the sport and becoming a cultural icon. The partnership with Jordan not only boosted Nike's sales but also solidified its reputation as a brand associated with excellence and aspiration.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Nike continued to push the boundaries of innovation. They introduced groundbreaking technologies like Air cushioning, which used pressurized air in the soles to provide superior comfort and support. The Air Max line, with its visible air units, became a huge hit and remains a staple in Nike's product lineup.
Nike also expanded its product range beyond running and basketball shoes. They ventured into apparel, accessories, and other sports, including soccer, golf, and tennis. By diversifying their offerings, Nike was able to reach a broader audience and solidify its position as a leader in the sportswear industry.
The company's marketing campaigns continued to set new standards. The "Just Do It" campaign, launched in 1988, became one of the most successful and enduring slogans in advertising history. It resonated with consumers by tapping into the universal desire to overcome challenges and achieve personal goals. The campaign featured inspirational athletes like Bo Jackson, Andre Agassi, and John McEnroe, further cementing Nike's association with greatness.
As Nike grew, so did its global presence. The company expanded into international markets, establishing subsidiaries and opening retail stores around the world. Their aggressive marketing strategies and endorsements with international athletes helped them gain a foothold in key markets, including Europe, Asia, and South America.
Nike's commitment to innovation remained unwavering. They invested heavily in research and development, constantly seeking ways to improve their products and stay ahead of the competition. The launch of Nike Shox, a cushioning system that used columns of resilient foam, and Flyknit, a lightweight, form-fitting fabric, showcased their dedication to pushing the boundaries of performance and design.
In addition to technological advancements, Nike also embraced sustainability. They introduced initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, such as using recycled materials in their products and implementing energy-efficient manufacturing processes. The Nike Grind program, which repurposes old shoes into new products, exemplifies their commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Despite its success, Nike faced its share of challenges and controversies. In the 1990s, the company came under fire for its labor practices in overseas factories. Allegations of poor working conditions and low wages led to widespread criticism and calls for boycotts. Nike responded by implementing stringent labor standards and increasing transparency in its supply chain. While these measures helped improve their image, the controversy served as a reminder of the complexities and responsibilities that come with being a global corporation.
Nike also faced fierce competition from other sportswear brands, including Adidas, Under Armour, and Puma. These companies sought to challenge Nike's dominance by introducing innovative products and signing high-profile endorsement deals. However, Nike's relentless focus on innovation, marketing, and athlete partnerships allowed them to maintain their leadership position.
As the world entered the digital age, Nike adapted by embracing technology and digital marketing. They launched Nike+, a platform that connected athletes through a mobile app and wearable devices. This allowed users to track their workouts, set goals, and share their achievements with a global community. The integration of technology and fitness helped Nike stay relevant in an increasingly connected world.
Social media became a powerful tool for Nike's marketing campaigns. They leveraged platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to reach a wider audience and engage with consumers directly. Their campaigns, such as the "Equality" initiative and collaborations with artists like Travis Scott and Virgil Abloh, resonated with younger generations and reinforced Nike's status as a cultural influencer.
Today, Nike continues to lead the sportswear industry, driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation and a commitment to excellence. The company remains focused on pushing the boundaries of performance, sustainability, and design. Their partnerships with top athletes and collaborations with designers and artists keep the brand fresh and relevant in an ever-changing market.
Nike's journey from a small startup to a global icon is a testament to the power of vision, innovation, and determination. Phil Knight's dream of creating a company that would challenge the status quo has been realized beyond his wildest expectations. The Swoosh legacy is a story of triumph, resilience, and the unwavering belief that greatness is within reach for those who dare to pursue it.
As Nike looks to the future, they continue to inspire athletes and dreamers around the world, reminding us all that, like the Swoosh, we too can "Just Do It."
Nike's influence extends far beyond the realm of sports. The brand has become deeply embedded in popular culture, influencing fashion, music, and art. Collaborations with renowned designers like Virgil Abloh, founder of Off-White, and artists like Travis Scott have resulted in highly sought-after limited-edition releases that blur the lines between sportswear and high fashion.
The Air Jordan line, in particular, has transcended its origins as a basketball shoe to become a cultural phenomenon. Collectors and enthusiasts eagerly anticipate each new release, and the sneakers are often seen as status symbols. The impact of Air Jordans on sneaker culture is profound, with their influence visible in the designs of many modern sneakers.
Nike's ability to tap into cultural trends and collaborate with influential figures has allowed them to remain relevant and maintain their status as a trendsetter. The brand's marketing campaigns often address social issues and promote messages of empowerment, equality, and diversity. These campaigns resonate with consumers on a deeper level, creating a sense of loyalty and connection to the brand.
Nike's commitment to social responsibility and community engagement is another key aspect of their legacy. The company has established numerous programs and initiatives aimed at giving back to communities and supporting underprivileged youth. The Nike Community Impact Fund provides grants to local organizations that promote physical activity, education, and mentorship.
In addition to financial contributions, Nike encourages its employees to volunteer and engage with their communities. The company also partners with organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Special Olympics to provide opportunities for young athletes and individuals with disabilities.
Nike's efforts to address social and environmental issues are ongoing. They continue to set ambitious sustainability goals, such as achieving zero carbon and zero waste across their entire value chain. By investing in renewable energy, sustainable materials, and circular design, Nike aims to reduce its environmental footprint and inspire other companies to follow suit.
Nike's dedication to innovation extends to the field of sports science. The company collaborates with athletes, coaches, and researchers to develop products that enhance performance and

Hi everyone. I have learnt for the first time this year that I have indigenous ancestors. My interest is in learning about there mob and culture. I have been doing a lot of research but I am still struggling. I have done my DNA test and started my family tree. I seem to have a lot of missing links. I mean no disrespect by asking this question. My great grandmother and her mother was born in Whalan NSW. My other great grandfather and his mother were in the Charleville area and Claverton station QLD. Is there anyone that can help point me in the right direction of learning more please 🙏 Any help greatly appreciated thank you 🙏

2024.06.11 04:21 vahedemirjian If a 100 passenger derivative of the Pathfinder airship is built, would you travel in it?

LTA Research last year began flight tests of a new airship measuring 408 feet long, the Pathfinder 1. Although not as big as any of the rigid and semi-rigid airships built by the Zeppelin and Schütte-Lanz companies, the CargoLifter CL 160, Goodyear's 1940s projects for passenger airships, or Aeroscraft ML866 and ML868, it is still a giant compared to the Dragon Dream proof-of-concept demonstrator for the Aeroscraft airship projects.
Although the Pathfinder 1 is currently in flight testing, it could one day spawn a 620 foot long variant with a seating capacity for 100 passengers. If a Pathfinder variant with a 100 seating capacity were developed, would you be inclined to travel in it?

2024.06.11 04:20 sameed_a how to identify reporting bias in research studies?

"Last Tuesday, I found myself in a heated debate with my good friend George over lunch in our favorite café downtown. We were arguing about the latest buzz in town — the supposed magical weight-loss properties of a certain exotic fruit. It all started when George, usually not the type to fall for such things, excitedly shared some research he had found online.
"Two studies," he claimed, both claiming that this magical fruit helped people lose weight significantly. Intrigued (and a tad skeptical, if I might add), I decided to read these studies myself. George sent me the links, and I spent that evening scrutinizing the research.
As I delved into the studies, something that my high school science teacher Mrs. Johnson would repeat like a mantra echoed in my mind: 'Always remember, correlation does not imply causation.' This oft-repeated phrase led me to a mental model I now use routinely: The Ladder of Inference, a tool to help one make more informed decisions using logic and reasoning.
I noticed that both studies George referred to were observational in nature, and they both observed a large group of people who ate the magical fruit regularly and lost weight. But the thing is, these studies merely observed a correlation.
Digging deeper, I started to suspect reporting bias. The correlation didn't necessarily mean that the fruit was causing the weight loss. There could be other factors at play here. Maybe these fruit-eaters were more health-conscious and exercised regularly. Maybe they were more mindful of their eating habits. Heck, maybe they all loved hula-hooping for the fun of it!
I shared my skepticism with George and explained my concerns. He seemed deflated at first, but then he admitted that he hadn't considered these aspects. He promised to investigate more before jumping on the magical fruit bandwagon. And me? I was glad to have climbed another rung on the Ladder of Inference.
P.S. This story, though hypothetical, truly captures how we can apply the Ladder of Inference to everyday situations, such as identifying reporting bias in studies. And remember folks, if it sounds too good to be true — it probably involves hula-hooping!"

2024.06.11 04:20 PossibleOpposite8172 Here is a hypothesis

Hypothesis:

Gravity emerges from the quantum process of decoherence, where particles transition from coherent (probabilistic) states to decoherent (definite) states upon interaction with matter. This transition generates spacetime curvature, leading to the observed gravitational effects.

Thought Experiment:

Imagine sitting in a creek with photons continuously interacting with your body. Each photon, upon interaction, undergoes decoherence, providing a definite measurement of your position in spacetime. This interaction creates a dynamic "bubble" of spacetime curvature around you. The continuous interplay between coherence and decoherence marks your position, influencing the surrounding spacetime fabric.

Key Concepts:

  1. Quantum Decoherence:
    • Particles exist in a coherent state of probability until they interact with a system of measurement (matter), at which point they decohere into a definite state.
  2. Spacetime Curvature:
    • The decoherence process influences the curvature of spacetime, creating what we perceive as gravitational effects.
  3. Real-Time Information Exchange:
    • A feedback loop exists where particles continuously update their state, influencing and being influenced by spacetime curvature.
  4. Position and State in Spacetime:
    • Decoherence provides real-time information about an object's position and state within spacetime, contributing to the observed effects of gravity.

Implications and Discussion Points:

  1. Quantum Decoherence and Spacetime Curvature:
    • How might the transition from coherence to decoherence in quantum particles generate spacetime curvature?
    • What mathematical models could link decoherence events to changes in the spacetime metric?
  2. Data-Driven Gravity:
    • Could gravitational effects be driven by continuous quantum informational exchanges rather than a classical force?
    • How does this perspective align with or challenge current gravitational theories?
  3. Testable Predictions:
    • What experiments or observations could test this hypothesis? For instance, could we measure decoherence rates of particles in different gravitational fields or contexts?
    • How might variations in decoherence correlate with gravitational anomalies?
  4. Integration with General Relativity:
    • How can we introduce a decoherence term into the Einstein field equations to account for quantum measurement processes?
    • What modifications to these equations might arise from different forms of the decoherence term?
  5. Implications for Cosmology:
    • What broader implications could this have for our understanding of the universe, including dark matter, dark energy, and cosmological evolution?
    • How might this decoherence-driven model of gravity affect the formation and behavior of large-scale structures in the universe?

2024.06.11 04:16 idontevenlift9690 Really bad tooth problem

Tooth number 18 with a big decay and carie

17 wisdom teeth behind it is Bony impacted

Been having a lot of pain on my bottom left tooth that I went to the er for mid may
This is the second flare up.
First one was in early April and then another one was in may both really bad but the second one was much worse
Have been told I have bad decay and cavity there which is basically a carie. There’s a black dot on my tooth
Have all 4 wisdom teeth. Am 30
Went to an oral surgeon and they want me to remove all 4 wisdoms and then potentially do a root canal on the bottom left tooth in front of the wisdom
Also want to do a cbct scan which I’m concerned about because of the radiation. It’s both arches 16x9 and the machine they use icat flx is 69usv for this test.
Now I don’t want to remove my wisdoms because they could change jaw shape and that how the nerves are connected to organs?
I was ok removing the tooth in front and doing a ceramic implant with ozone bone graft and prp but he said implants are bad because when chewing the brain can’t sense the tooth and to keep the natural tooth
My jaw feels tender and painful to touch on the side don’t think I have any swelling. My ear is clogged on the same side and I think it’s related but I thought it was just because I went to edc mid May and was wearing ear plugs but idk how that would be effecting me pain wise right now. Thought it was just that I pushed in the ear wax really deep with the plugs but i didn’t know if I would still be feeling it this clogged.
Dentist was really scaring me that i may have an infection and to do this asap because it could go in my jaw and brain which is really bad and I do want to fix this asap even if it means to get all wisdoms extracted
But I’ve heard horror stories of root canals and how they are bad and could cause even cancer
I’m not sure if I should get a second opinion
But idk if anyone knows anything about cbct and how bad the radiation is
https://www.reddit.com/MedicalPhysics/comments/10s5ya9/projected_lifetime_cancer_risk_from_conebeam/
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8133899/
I’m just scared about another flare up because that was the worst pain of my life and I don’t want to experience it again.
Even now sometimes it stings and I get scared
Last time the pain went away cuz the er injected me with xylocaine but idt that did anything
But the pain didn’t stop until I took 600mg ibuprofen prescribed and amoxicillin which I only took one pill
Not sure what worked cuz before I had already taken 600mg ibuprofen otc in 3 pills
Or nothing worked and the pain was gonna go away anyways?
Old X ray pic I think from 2018 and cbct radiation: https://postimg.cc/gallery/h4MWdRY
Old pic from 2018 prolly much worse now of inside of teeth: https://i.postimg.cc/gJQw4scW/EDE7-FF82-338-E-497-A-8443-2-E78-E09-DE5-A1.jpg
My wisdoms are sideways and bony impacted
I was doing some research on cbct machines and plan Mecca is the best one cuz it has a low dose setting and produces the same image quality
So I’m seeing an oral surgeon this Thursday to do the test and extraction of #18 asap their next available.
Now Idt if I need a cbct of the entire jaw because I know with plan Mecca they can just focus on the lower left but if I’m gonna get the same exposure of radiation might as well do the entire jaw? This I don’t know if it’s the same exposure or less in just the lower left jaw. I know 16x8 I was told takes the spine in the image as well prolly the neck area? So Idt why I need such a big view
Another dentist was saying I only need a demotion 8x8 view
I guess all these views are for maybe to extract all 4 wisdoms but right now I just want to focus on 18 and lower left area. Maybe it’s better to do just one big scan instead of two later? But I still don’t know if the full jaw view has the same radiation exposure as just taking the lower left. I hope I’m making the right choice using plan Mecca cuz there’s another machine called Kavo. And I guess the software matters too.
I was prescribed antibiotics amoxicillin but still not sure if I have an infection. The dentist just prescribed it without taking an x ray.
My holistic dentist told me not to take them tho because I currently have gut problems as well such as bloating and burping but someone was saying it could fix it even but this one said itlll make my gut problems worse.
I’m just trying to make it to Thursday and the extraction because I’m scared of another flare up and if there’s an infection hopefully it didn’t spread
Don’t drink or smoke just eat a lot of junk food and high sugar foods

2024.06.11 04:16 yhwnvzpkj CT Angiograms

Just wanted to bring up something that has been bothering me lately and that’s the lack of long term Carnivore influencers getting CT Angiograms. Now let me preface this by stating nobody owes anyone a certain type of test, but the fact that a non-invasive, relatively low cost ($250-300), accurate soft plaque scan like this exists now and none of them are going out and getting it is pretty baffling to me. Given that high ldl/heart disease is the #1 concern with this diet and this test exists to fairly definitively dispel that fear and it’s not being used just doesn’t make a lot of sense imo.
I am aware of the study Dave Feldman is doing with exactly this test and that’s great but the results still aren’t in for the 1 year progression/comparison (which I think is kind of odd as the study concluded in February I believe) and even with that it still doesn’t make sense to my why almost all Carnivore influencers who are making a living off this diet wouldn’t prove to everyone that their arteries are fine. Am I alone in that line of thinking?
Also I want to make it known that I have been a big believer in carnivore for a while now however after a family member recently had to have triple bypass surgery heart disease became much more real to me and after really really researching it a lot more I have to say there is A LOT of convincing evidence for saturated fat/apob/high ldl causing plaque buildup and trust me I did NIT want to believe it. I am just left more confused at this point than ever before and just want the truth as I’m still not convinced a carnivore way of eating would actually lead to heart disease but I’m open to the possibility.
Also to add to that I found 3 different instances of people (claiming) to be on a carnivore diet for months/years who had heart attacks or strokes. I have no reason to not believe them but who knows for sure however I mention it because I also read a book by Caldwell Esselstyn who is a vegan and he put patients with heart disease so severe they couldn’t be operated on and were thought to die in a matter of months on his vegan diet and they lived 30 more years into old age. All that to say if a diet is actually reversing heart disease you shouldn’t expect people to get heart attacks on it after months/years even if they had done a lot of damage previously right?
Again I hope this doesn’t come off as anti-Carnivore because I really don’t know the right answer. I am just seeking the truth and asking hard questions (for myself at least) and hopefully soon we can have more definitive answers. Thanks to anyone who replies.

2024.06.11 04:15 sundressesandpuppies Using Army Reserves to pull off career switch?

Hello all, I’ve been lurking around this subreddit for a few months as I’ve been going through my recruitment process and would love some feedback on my current game plan.
TLDR: want to use the Army Reserves to make a career switch into intelligence and/or government contractor work by commissioning as a MI officer
Background: - 24F 5’4”//99 ASVAB//think I could come close to maxing out PT test (ran in college and lift 5x a week now) - graduated undergrad from top school in 2022 with a BA in Mathematical economics. - Right after college worked at a private equity firm doing strategic data analysis (specifically pricing). Have left job #1 and now work two jobs - a 9-5 where I do financial analysis and spend the rest of my time at a startup doing pricing consulting (my old boss founded it … getting that dual income). With the two jobs combined, I make a very good salary but I can’t say I feel very fulfilled working in either role since I don’t feel like I’m working with large scale issues and the upward career progression doesn’t really lead to that either.
I’ve been doing a lot of thought and have come to the conclusion that I think long term I’d like to do work on the international scale - ideally dealing with any of the following: geopolitical conflicts, human rights, intelligence, or diplomacy BUT I know these jobs are very hard to break into.
So here is my plan to get my foot in the door - does it sound realistic or am I being delusional??: 1. Commissioned MI Officer - get some product making skills, get my TS clearance, get training and networking opportunities with those more ingrained in community (this would be Basic then OCS then BOLC). 2. While at BOLC - apply for some govt contractor jobs I could use my SC for (plus maybe take a data science or CS course to level up) 3. Ideally work a govt contractor job for a couple years then get a secondary degree (?). Consider dropping a packet in for Civil Affairs officer 4. If I like it: try to work in the govt like DOD, 3-letter agency, etc or maybe a humanitarian org? If I hate it and made a big mistake: go back to finance lol. The things I do like about corporate jobs though do seem to align well with intelligence work (market research, data analysis and problem solving)
I have always had an innate desire to serve others throughout my life with a simultaneous interest in global affairs. It would make me feel very proud and fulfilled to protect and serve my community, which is how I’ve concocted this plan. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 😄

2024.06.11 04:15 No_HoneyPineapple Hello!

Young Male, Twenties, History of ADHD/Anxiety/Extreme Depression
I know I should go to the Doc! But in this economy I have to focus on food and my car insurance first because without those things there is no movement towards getting help.
All symptoms I list I feel have relevancy due to reading other post/or researching myself online. I would like some ideas just so I can appease the thoughts that keep me up at night.
I have a small, Firm Quarter Size Bump behind my jaw under my ear lobe. Some common physical occurrences that may help are that I experience popping in my ear when I speak certain words and a certain pitch, it plays that note in my ear louder than anything around me. I experience tightness in my throat consistently, like a hand is wrapped around the front of my neck.
I have chronic dry patches that form on my hands, and thick, but somehow brittle hair? I can see it becoming extremely brittle in the front along the crows peak. Since being off of self-medicating from chronic thoughts and pain to test my strength, I’ve experienced irritability that I’ve had since a young age, extreme irrational thoughts during the day about myself and others, constant sense of “doom” anxiety, and restlessness in my body (As if there is electric in my skull). Same instances I go from that to extremely tired, & yawning. Regardless I wake up around 3-4Am every couple of nights.
I have extremely low body weight for “my size and age” so much that random people comment. Even though I am fit/active and walking six-eight miles every day that I have free time. Could also due part that my appetite is sporadic, & extremely inconsistence in calories, though doesn’t stop the buzzing energy.
I have an extremely low-sex drive that switches for a couple days out of each passing month.
Honestly, just needed to vent cause the Health Anxiety is killing me. I know it’s a lot, Comments that provide no insight, or effective communication is unnecessary.
Thanks for your time.

Asked and here’s the pic… 3M AR removed it in moments
For context… as many others in the past tout the effectiveness of 3M adhesive remover. It almost seems to be a cure all & too good to be true.
This is my experience and be sure to do your own due diligence.
The car was washed, decon’d and dried. I tried a small test spot to understand how to apply it. Sprayed it on a towel, then gently massaged on the affected area.
Immediately after using it, I wiped the area down with some rinseless wash out of precaution.
It worked so well, I went at it on the rest. I got it on Amazon for $35. While I find that very expensive… it was worth it. I saved so much time vs. either hand or machine buffing it off.
I did this in my garage, out of the sun on a cool panel. Only ~74 degrees with minimal humidity.
As with any product/ process we see here, do your own research and test in small areas first.

2024.06.11 04:00 goldminingcrusher The way to choose excellent of aluminium strip

Aluminum strip is product of aluminum as the number one fabric and blended with other alloying elements. It's miles an aluminum coil finished product acquired by way of embossing an aluminum ingot, and is reduce into aluminum strips a favored width via a slitting machine thing. With exceptional reflectivity for infrared rays, ultraviolet rays, electromagnetic waves, and warmth radiation, aluminum strips are on the whole used for processing great forming functions, high corrosion resistance and solderable components and so on. Then a way to choose best of aluminium strip in purchasing?
First, you need to see if the appearance of an alloy aluminum strip is glaringly distorted, whether or not it's far smooth and flat, and whether or not there are other damages. It’s regular for an aluminium strip roll to be bent, but no bending marks have to seem on the floor. Do no longer purchase the aluminum strip in case of any of the above issues. 2nd, make certain there’s no coloration difference. The normal shade of aluminium is herbal easy silvery. As a consequence no different colours are everyday until you are buying color lined aluminium strip rolls. In addition, oil stains aren't allowed, both. Final, take a look at whether or not the thickness of the aluminum strip phase is the same as the kind marked. As an instance, if you need aluminium strip 3mm, the thickness have to now not be less than 3mm, that is difficult to judge by using bare eyes truly, consequently it’s better so that you can use a measuring tool.
The judgement guidelines above are very simple. Trying out is a extra complicated but powerful manner. This lets you research composition and mechanical houses of the strip, via that you get clear whether or not the alloy grade, mood and rolling approaches are the kinds you need. It includes software of specialised instruments, or more fee for testing from a third birthday party. But, it’s worth it because you buy aluminium strips for huge quantities, and the testing expenses are a long way much less than possible losses if the satisfactory if no longer pleasing.

2024.06.11 04:00 sameed_a how to identify selection bias in academic papers?

As I sipped my morning coffee, I began my daily routine of perusing the latest academic papers published in my beloved field of social psychology. Today, a specific paper caught my attention - a study on the correlation between high IQ and longevity. The study claimed that people with high IQs tend to live longer, and it included a sizeable data set and meticulous analysis. However, something wasn't sitting right with me. It was time to put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and dissect the methodology.
The initial data set had been gathered from a group of university students, tested for IQ and then followed throughout multiple decades. That had me raising an eyebrow. All the participants were university students, meaning they had pursued higher education. But aren't people who pursue higher education typically more health conscious and financially capable of affording better healthcare? Could this be what was causing the perceived link between high IQ and longevity, rather than intelligence itself?
I decided to dive deeper. Interestingly, the paper didn't mention a single word about any effort made to factor out or consider such variables. No consideration had been given to socio-economic background, personal lifestyle habits, or any other external factors. The pool was awash with selection bias!
If you're wondering what Selection Bias is, it's an experimental error that occurs when the participant pool, or the subsequent data, isn't representative of the group it's supposed to represent, thus leading to distorted findings. In this case, the researchers fell into the trap of this bias by selecting university students as a stand-in for the general public.
So, while the paper itself looked beautiful on the surface, with pages and pages of data and analysis, once you recognized the presence of the selection bias, it became clear the findings may not hold much weight after all.
P.S. Not gonna lie, I did enjoy playing detective for a bit. I felt like I was applying the mental model of "First Principles Thinking" as Elon Musk does - questioning assumptions and breaking down a problem to its basic truths. Just remember, this was a hypothetical situation. I don’t actually drink coffee, I’m a tea person! And remember, folks, always be on the lookout for sneaky selection biases in your academic adventures. No study is perfect!

2024.06.11 03:58 SmolderedPython Correlation between high IQ and ED?

Hello, I've been looking for a community where I can find like-minded people, my search seems to have brought me here. I'd also like to run my thoughts through you:
I've been officially tested on the WAIS-FOUR to have an IQ of 155, which I think is rather veritable. On the other hand, I also have severe erectile dysfunction, and this has isolated me from women for most of my life. My intuition is telling me that something similar is happening here, and that there's likely a correlation between having a high IQ and having ED based on my data thus far.
Does anyone have any studies to back this up?

2024.06.11 03:56 carbonflow45 The NIH Intramural ME Study: “Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics”

The NIH Intramural ME Study: “Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics”
by Jeannette Burmeister
Introduction:
"The infamous intramural National Institutes of Health (NIH) paper on post-infectious Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), a disease affecting many millions worldwide, purports to define the ME phenotype based on a cohort of 17 ME patients. With this study, NIH continues its obstinate false portrayal of ME as a disease characterized mainly by fatigue. However, the agency put a new spin on its decades-old fatigue narrative. Using the Effort Expenditure for Rewards Task (EEfRT) in a 15-patient sub-set, the investigators reframed fatigue as “unfavorable preference” to exert effort or an “unfavorable” “Effort Preference”—which they say is the decision to avoid the harder task—to be a “defining feature” of ME. According to NIH, this Effort Preference outcome was the study’s “primary objective.” The agency, in essence, pathologized pacing and branded ME with a new and highly prejudicial malingerers’ label.
The Effort Preference claim is an endorsement and expansion of the work of Dr. Simon Wessely, the knighted potentate of the biopsychosocial brigade, which disparages the disease and its patients.. According to Wessely, ME is a disorder of the perception of effort, which is identical with NIH’s characterization of Effort Preference. NIH used Wessely’s body of work as a blueprint for the NIH intramural study.
I have analyzed the EEfRT data and have found some serious issues. I will show that the investigators arrived at their false Effort Preference claim by failing to control for a number of confounding factors, for example by not excluding those patients who were demonstrably too sick to validly participate in the EEfRT as well as by misinterpreting and/or misrepresenting the effort data in a number of ways. Furthermore, the effort testing actually demonstrated that ME patients performed better on the EEfRT than the control group based on the reported data, something the authors obscured by failing to include the relevant analyses and disregarding the fact that patients employed a more effective optimization strategy on EEfRT testing than controls did, disproving the Effort Preference assertion. The study is a textbook case of the breathtaking power of statistics in the hands of researchers inclined to reverse-engineer their desired outcome. There is also a serious issue with the integrity of the data, some of which has clearly been falsely recorded, rendering the entire EEfRT data set unreliable."

i’m a 21 yr old female who has been struggling with chronic, mild-severe lower right quadrant pain for over 2 years. the pain feels tender- sometimes feels like there is a heavy mass where i assume my large intestine is. it can feel sharp and stabbing, and it can feel dull. & before ya’ll start tripping and suggest i see a real doctor instead of asking reddit, I have actually spent hundreds of dollars on doctor appointments for 2 years regarding this and still no diagnosis has been made. i’ve done blood tests, a stool test- all clear. ive had 5 ultrasounds, all came back clear- except i was told i have a cystic endometrium (that supposedly doesn’t correlate to the chronic pain). the pain is unpredictable. sometimes flares up after eating, sometimes afteduring intercourse, normally flares up after work etc. i’ve hardly been able to identify a pattern. it’s also common for me to have painful bowel movements (sometimes bleeds and feels like i’m pushing out glass), other times it’s loose stools. my periods can sometimes be a little abnormal, but nothing super out of the ordinary. i got NO IDEA what’s goin on, any advice is welcome and it’s appreciated thank u

2024.06.11 03:45 Critterling Borderline 3 hour glucose test, should I retest?

Hello! I have a lot of risk factors for having GD (advanced maternal age, 20lbs overweight, hispanic, prediabetic before pregnancy, extensive family hx of diabetes and GD). I failed the 1 hr at 16 weeks, but passed the 3 hr easily at 17 weeks. At 25 weeks, I took the 3 hr again at 25 weeks and had the following result:
Fasting: 86 mg/dL, 1hr: 212 mg/dL, 2 hr: 152 mg/dL, 3 hr: 76 mg/dL
My doctor office told me I passed but to watch my diet. I asked them if I should be retested later especially given a 1 hr result over 200 and barely passing the 2 hr, and they said it was not necessesary. My concern is, what if I develop GD later in pregnancy and it's not diagnosed? This happended to my coworker and her baby ended up in the NICU at birth for a week due to glucose issues.
I did start following a GD diet (to the best of my ability researching online) and buy a glucose montior. I'm currently 28 weeks and have monitored glucose for the last ten days. Most of my fasting numbers are between 97-101 (only one result was under 95 for the last ten days), and my 1 hr after eating is often above 140. I can keep meals to under 140 if I'm very, very careful with diet. But one time I made the mistake of drinking an eletrolyte drink with breakfast and got 196 at 1 hr. Even being strict with my diet, I am still getting 1 hrs above 140 at least once a day. I'm wondering if I should insist that my doctor re-test me or at least review the glucose results I've been getting?
