I know a lot of people have been questioning forever whether Valve are working on VR hardware, with some outright denying it's existence. At most, we've all seen some patents here and there that seem a little interesting.
As a person who spends some time looking for a job, I decided to look at what Valve has going. I looked at 2 postings, which I've copied below and I believe few people have seen. I've highlighted some bits I find particularly interesting in bold (of course not every aspect is related to VR, as the first one is clearly also talking about Steam Deck iterations). It sounds to me like they're working on something like lighthouses that can use cameras to do pose estimation (could be done through the headset and controllers, but that does seem a lot more complicated, and their audience of Index users would be used to lighthouses), ultimately eliminating the need for Vive trackers (and their alternatives), taking the time to strap them to you, calibration and battery life, which I've thought for a while is an important next step in VR, and I'm glad to see there are hints this is being worked on by a big player.

Za kontekst sem jaz že pet let tabornik.
Takoj, že iz refleksa sem preden sem sploh sprocesiral njegove besede, rekel “skavte pod avte”. Počutil sem se ogoljufanega. Ta huligan mi potem brezsrčno izusti “tabornike na štrike”, kar zveni veliko slabše kot moja izjava - še en razlog, da smo taborniki boljši. Rekel sem mu, da ne morava več biti prijatelja in da naj gleda pod noge. Sem jaz danka?

Ne zanima za koga ili protiv koga glasate ali ovo ne moze.
Hoce da ono parcence Pariske ulice gde je sad pesacki prelaz iz Kneza da pretvore u pesacku zonu.
Dosta su zasrali saobracaj zatvaranjem Pop Lukine (po ko zna koji put prave taj switch).

Zajímalo by mě jak je obtížné pro Vás zařídit vlastní bydlení v menších městech a nebo na vesnicích v mladém věku (pod cca 35let).
Vím, že Praha a Brno jsou na tom dost špatně, ale obecně v ČR se dá najít dost bytů/domů za "levno". Je mi jasné, že i platy těm místům budou odpovídat.
Myslíte si, že je to pro Vás stejně obtížné jako pro lidi v Praze například?
Bavím se posledních pár letech, kde ceny vyletěly vzhůru. Ne o dědovi co koupil vilu za tři borůvky.

Moja vzmetnica se vdala in iščem novo, dosti tršo, ampak Jysk (in sklepam tudi ostale sorodne trgovine) kolikor sem poizkušal včeraj, nimajo ravno trdih vzmetnic, čeprav ima vzmetnica po njihovih standardih oznako "trdo", a ko jo probam, se pogreznem za tako centimeter in pol vsaj.
Hkrati pa sem med potovanji po Evropi že naletel na vzmetnice, ki so bile res trde, take proper, da se nič ne pogrezneš in res dobro spiš, samo izgleda to ni del običajnega asortimana.
Ima mogoče kdo kak predlog, pa da ne bi dal dveh jurjev za enojno vzmetnico?

Pred kratkim smo menjali operaterja na Telemach in s paketom katerega koristimo, dobimo tudi EON aplikacijo na smart tv z uporabnostjo tv boxa. Edina težava je ta, da ura na aplikaciji zaostaja za eno uro nazaj. Posledično se tudi vsi kanali vrtijo skladno s časom na appu, torej moj "v živo" je dejansko 1 uro nazaj. Vseeno mi je za aktualni program, mi gre pa blazno na k*, ko bi rad gledal kak šport v živo, ala nogomet, in ko med mojim "v živo" polčasom vesel ob rezultatu meni ljube ekipe 1:0 odprem brskalnik in vidim update, da že izgublja 2:1 med tem ko jaz surfam ob reklamah me pa mine nadaljevanje ogleda..

I (18M) have preparing for jee for the last 2 years in kota. And it was one of the worst decision of my life. Allen aur jee ne jeevan mai bohot maar liya hai. Padhai se burnout ho gya hu whi same routine wahi subject whi classes ko follow kar kar ke. Mere advance ka exam hai 26 may but ab aur nhi padha jaa rha hai. My parents are like very chill unko IIT NIT se farak nhi padhta. Lekin meri social life puri tareeke se khatam hogyi hai. I have a very good support system (my whole family is very supportive and i have two very close friends) but still ek akelapan sa lagta hai. Despite scoring 97.8 percentile in jee mains i am not be able to get a cs aur ece branch in a good nit or iiit. Computer Science has always been my dream branch (not because of placements) but instead of my very keen interest and passion in it. Till 10th standard i was preparing for IOI (one of the most prestigious computer science olympiad all over the world) (not the SOF ones : they are not real olympiad). I ended up qualifying the Zonal computing olympiad and Indian national olympiad in informatics but not getting shortlisted in the final merit list of IOI training camp by 3 rank (Only 4 students are selected all over india for the camp and world finals). 10th ke boards khatam hue phir 11th mai Allen mai 80% scholarship milne ke baad laga ki jee ka tayyari karu.
