On May 28th and 29th, Boomerang will be airing specific programming for the launch of MultiVersus. Breaking down the Adventure Time episodes alone clued me into the fact that these episodes seem HIGHLY relevant for future speculation. Let's call this "Boomerang Theory."
The Rules for Boomerang Theory
Even though clues may be present for properties like Looney Tunes, Popeye, and Scooby-Doo, I personally consider it to be unlikely to come to any informed speculation regarding shows that air on Boomerang daily. There are some exceptions,, but for right now I am only focusing in on the shows specifically coming to Boomerang for the event.
Shows #1-2: Taz-Mania and Duck Dodgers

• These shows are part of Boomerang's regular rotation... BUT they air rather infrequently. To specifically air them on MVS Day makes sense for Taz, but Duck Dodgers is one I want to call MAJOR attention to. I don't want to jump the gun but this may be soft confirmation of Daffy. Taz could maybe get a stage?

Movie #1: Aloha, Scooby-Doo!

• Daphne is a MAJOR player in this one.

Movie #2: Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold

• I honestly don't think we can point out specific characters in this one- probably just a convenient crossover. But Batman meeting Scooby may specifically suggest Scooby is coming to the game for sure. Maybe Scooby will have a skin from this film?

Show #3: Teen Titans Go!

• Anything Titans is an immediate flag, as no members of the team are currently in the game. My bets are on Raven, since she's been heavily rumored for quite a while. Plus we already have Tara Strong as Harley and (presumably) now Bubbles, so this makes a TON of sense.
  • However: this is also the closest thing to a Batman show currently airing on CN. If they took the brand synergy route, this might just be a stand-in for DC itself. I'd even see TTG being used as the base for any and all Warner Bros crossovers, so I'm not taking it super seriously atm.
• "Warner Bros. 100th Anniversary" (S8E24, interestingly not the second part) is apt for this game, as it features the Titans meeting several WB icons from TONS of different Hanna-Barbera, Cartoon Network, and WB Animation properties, plus The Wizard of Oz, Elf, and Gremlins.
• "The Cruel Giggling Ghoul" (S3E23) is pretty easy. It's a Scooby-Doo parody starring the Teen Titans, featuring LeBron.
• "TV Knight" (S4E5) is the first in a long-running subplot where we tune into the Titans' television to see what's on. I honestly think this is being aired in reference to Rick and Morty's similar bit, "Interdimensional Cable," but it's worth mentioning that Batman watching TV is the framing device, plus Robin's segment specifically revolves around his relationship with Batman.
  • Another point in favor of Raven: Trigon makes an appearance. Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Starfire also have their own segments, but only Raven's has to do with her actual lore.
• "Jam" (S7E23) is intriguing to me. Not only is it the first time Harley appears as a speaking role in the show, but Poison Ivy and Catwoman are with her. Ivy is another one of those heavily rumored characters, and Catwoman makes a lot of sense for a slot. Additionally, their plot revolves around recruiting Raven and Starfire. I could see any/all of this being relevant info.
• "DC" (S7E24) is, much like the first two, an easy target. The Titans get invited to DC HQ to celebrate Wonder Woman's birthday, it's filled with DC cameos, and off-topic but it ends with a giant robot battle between DC Comics and Marvel Comics which is super fun.

Show #4: Adventure Time - SPOILERS!

• "Jake the Dog" (S5E2) heavily features Farmwold Finn. We could see him showing up as a skin, we could see a Farmworld map, I could even link this episode to the fact that a grown-up Farmworld Finn later appears in Fionna and Cake. Lots to go off of here, but definitely the least specific of the four.
• "Simon and Marcy" (S5E14) is a FASCINATING one. Marceline has been heavily rumored for quite a long time, is one of the most requested characters for the game, and this episode is her origin story. ADDITIONALLY, because this game focuses heavily on duos, I could easily see Ice King showing up as well- after all, this episode and "I Remember You" are the finale of his origin story as well.
  • A possible deviation would be for the post-Mushroom War wasteland to become a stage? Maybe both?
• "Escape from the Citadel" (S6E2) is the episode where Finn loses his arm. If the NHL promos were any indication, Finn should reflect this change in-game, or at least have it as a skin.
• "The Hall of Egress" (S7E24) has a very specific Finn look that might make sense as a skin- at the same time, there might be a bit too much skin showing for a game that appeals to kids. Not quite sure on this one, but the fit is fire.

Show #5: Steven Universe - SPOILERS!

• I very honestly think the following episodes are all supposed to focus in on Garnet's arc: the mystery of her character, her reveal as a Fusion, the horrific experimentation of Fusion by the Kindergarten, and Garnet's origin story. However, I will still break them down here.
  • Another easy choice, "Garnet's Universe" (S1E33) is simply an episode where Steven recounts a made-up narrative where he tries to guess what Garnet does with her day. Steven and Garnet, easy.
  • "Jail Break" (S1E52) holds significance as the first episode in the "StevenBomb" trend, where episodes would drop daily over the course of one week. This was a rather notorious strategy back in the day. HOWEVER, there's quite a bit more:
    • This is another big episode for Garnet, featuring her song "Stronger Than You" as well as her two halves, Ruby and Sapphire.
    • Lapis, Peridot, and Jasper are also here- this is actually the episode where Lapis betrays Jasper while in their combined Malachite form, as well as the episode where Peridot makes her way to Earth via escape pod.
    • Another big candidate for inclusion: the final shot of this episode is an incoming call from Connie.
  • "Keeping It Together" (S2E8) is ANOTHER big episode for Garnet, specifically centered on the practice of Gem Fusion, but ALSO takes place in the Kindergarten, which is Amethyst's origin.
    • Another argument for Peridot, as this episode revolves around the gems searching for her in the Kindergarten.
  • "The Answer" (S2E22) is ANOTHER GARNET EPISODE but some minor notes:
    • This is a direct follow-up to the events of "Jail Break"
    • The Cloud Arena makes an appearance
    • As this is a flashback, the only Gems present on the team prior to Garnet are Pearl and Rose. Might as well mention them? But they haven't been a huge part of these episodes thus far.

It was a nightmare that Little Nightmares 3 turned out to be a massive failure with 4 story-content DLCs, a 3d character focused camera angle, and could only be played via online multiplayer. Story was ass, puzzles had no care in them, and the characters spoke with political viewpoints graced by Sweet Baby Inc. Worst nightmare of my life.

Right off the bat, I just want to tell the artists they're doing a good job and I don't want to make excuses for monetization. I think the nerfs to basically every system in the game that enables progression seems to be just a straight up bad call that should be addressed. I don't want to excuse it, but I'd still like to give credit to the continuously good visual (and even auditory) design that keeps me playing this game. I don't really pay much attention to numbers in general and don't wish to be competitive, but even I noticed that I had no desire at all to pay any money even for noble/growth path etc. during this season launch because it all seems too little for too much.
But disregarding that, I think that the artists who work on this game still deserve to be commended. Some improvements to the story I think should be highlighted:
-Better writing and voice acting during the main story, as well as changes to individual characters and their voices and existing lines. Brutus used to be kind of a joke because of the audio quality, but he's a compelling character when he appears in the actual story and sounds great. Also the story (and I'm not done with it by yet any means) is all the way through a bit more compelling and interesting. I hope it continues on this path and we get some really cool graveborn content down the way.
-Good environment design that stands out from the base game in vibe and aesthetic, and provides context for the mauler faction. just simple mechanics like climbing up cliffs and directing the charging animals etc is a little bit of flavour that adds to the new areas and makes navigation a bit more interactive. Also the puzzles are not always completely braindead and require some thought.
-Cutscenes are improved in direction and choreography. I know some people just skip the story but some of us actually play for the story and the effort is appreciated.
This game is one of a kind in its aesthetic and I want it to succeed, even if the money people are screwing up and making the community turn.

Rose Glass directs a pulp movie with veins, a non-random term, fantasy, the ditch is immediately framed which evokes Lou's dark past and the place where his father hides his crimes, with a camera movement we first go into the depth of the ditch which then flow into the starry sky thus playing between low and high, descent and ascent, it is no coincidence that a shooting star is shown from the sky which symbolizes the beginning of the story but also the dreams and desires of Lou and Jackie. Through an alternating montage, the loneliness of both protagonists is shown until their meeting. Lou is a lesbian girl who runs a gym, she hates her father who is involved in illegal weapons trafficking, her mother has disappeared and the only reason she doesn't leave her hometown is because she wants to try to protect her sister Bet. Jackie also has a traumatic family past, she was adopted and dreams of becoming a bodybuilder, a dream not supported by her family. The film is therefore a suburban story, the chemistry between Lou and Jackie works and Rose Glass does not portray its characters as positive. The dynamic is beautiful where Jackie asks Lou to leave together, why Lou has never moved from her city and the following scene shows the two girls are having lunch together with Beth and the latter's boyfriend, J.J. The direction makes it clear that the reason why Lou doesn't move is Bet, wanting to protect her from J.J. who beats her up, in fact Beth is always shown with bruises and wounds, all of which will then also be made explicit both in gestures and words. The love between Lou and Jackie is sincere, the film shows their intimacy, however Lou's family situation will degenerate, involving the two girls and despite the mutual affection of the protagonists, the narrative shows mistakes, Lou still invites Jackie to take steroids to try to make her win the bodybuilder competition and subsequently she will carry out controversial acts and Jackie herself will be guilty of crimes. The competition sequence of the bodybuilder competition is well done, games of focus, the lights that start to move, the depth of field is removed, the suit to sensorially alter the dynamics and Rose Glass is noticeable that it comes from the genre, it has no hesitations in showing surreal touches and moments as he had already done for Saint Maud. The staging is good, there are single shots almost reminiscent of cosmic horror, the dark sky at night is very visible and there is a strong use of the color red which also appears in small details from scene to scene. The red clearly evokes blood, there is no shortage of direct shots totally surrounded by the color red but also moments of almost horror-like violence. The film begins at night just like Jackie's journey, the moments in the car, of movement, are at night and therefore shrouded in darkness as is the story of the two girls, the return from Las Vegas is emblematic, where the race for bodybuilders, where the horizon is totally black. In the finale, the car journey will instead be at dawn to mark the new beginning. The above-mentioned play of perspective between high and low is very present in the film, the shots from above also symbolize the various references to the film's destiny and the shots from below, especially on Jackie, are clues to what will happen, the showing the Gulliver cartoon on television which is a very strong signal for what will happen. In fact, you can also read the film as a sort of birth of anti-heroines, perhaps some will turn up their noses, but personally I appreciate when you dare even in these terms. Yes, it is a film that wants to tell a lot, the relationship between Lou and Jackie, Lou's family dynamic with his sister and father, Jacke's broken dream and not everything is fully centered, even in Saint Maud for example some references to the protagonist's past they were a little fast, just as some moments could have been better managed, for example there is a reaction from Lou's father that is a little too comical. However, the core of the film is spot on, the direction is good as is the narration between Lou and Jackie who are the fulcrum of the film, the final scene with flashes of black comedy that seals the birth of the two anti-heroines, both in fact they fulfill each other's narrative arc, where their actions and reactions, even when excessive and controversial, are well motivated

I've seen how in the middle east, for music albums, the cover art will have shirts drawn on women if it shows shoulders or cleavage.. Pants will be drawn on to cover bare legs.. Some album art will just be blank with the artist's name.
I've seen that in Europe, many cartoons will cut out scenes of characters discussing romance or kissing..
And here in America, japanese games will remove references to religion.

I have very few memories of this cartoon but I have very specific specks of information. The main character is a blonde girl, she likes to cause trouble and every episode got some sort of a moral. I grew up in Belgium watching Nickelodeon, Piwi and Playhouse Disney. I went through Piwi and Playhouse Disney program listing but I couldn't find any relevent information concerning the show.
One really specific information tho is that most episodes (I think) start in the girl's bedroom where she wakes up, her bed is in the left of the room directly next to a window, the bed is raised and there's stairs that connect it to the floor.
I recall that an episode starts in winter and it's snowing, the girl is happy and scoots out of her bed directly into the kitchen, thrilled to the idea to get out to play in the snow but her parents don't really want her to go out for some reasons and this is how the memory ends.

I just reread it after a couple of years and it blows my mind even more than when I first read it. Now it seems so much more radical for some reason. Nothing is like it, nothing comes close to it. I was surprised this time around the amount of attention placed on vladek spiegelmans (guy who survived if you didn’t read it) personal life and his character so many years later, and the little isms he has. Whereas other Holocaust books are just fictional or somehow seem unreal in some way. Somehow by placing cartoon animalsin Auschwitz you come to terms in a super visceral way. Or you understand that you can’t understand. But seeing the hanging mouses is more visceral than other Holocaust violence I’ve seen in movies. The places it goes, with each page turn, are surprising but necessar. You can slip in and out of the Holocaust story at a moments notice and into something like vladeks garden or him trying to return a half eaten box of cereal. Not to compare, but I do like the book a lot more than fun home by Alison bechdel and other sort of memoir type graphic novels. I only liked persepolis as much as this, which also is genius.

Hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me why my content doesn't qualify for the YPP? YouTube rejected my application yesterday. I quickly uploaded the appeal, but it was also rejected about 12 hours later. The main reason given was "Repetitive content."
I use Photoshop to transform celebrities into well-known cartoon or anime characters. Each short features a different character, showcasing the transformation process and the end result through some kind of cut-and-paste animation. I don't show the compositing process because my shorts are meant to be entertainment-focused, not tutorial-based.
In my appeal, I specifically showcased the start and final result of several videos to prove that each theme is completely different. I also demonstrated my editing process, and broke down the original layers. I thought this could help them understand that I really put a lot of effort into my work.
I've seen many clay channels that create figures or drawing channels that follow the same structure in every video, only changing the subject matter. I feel my content is similar, just with different tools.
If anyone can shed light on possible reasons for the rejection, I would greatly appreciate it. Channel is new, with the first short uploaded on April 21. It now has 35k subs and has received a lot of positive feedback from viewers.

Woody Woodpecker goes to camp! is the latest movie in the Woody Woodpecker franchise, one of the most iconic cartoon characters of all time.

I've seen people complaining heavily about the humor in this show. That it's all just sex jokes and the f word every two seconds. However, the things I think people are upset about usually aren't even the jokes. It's just characterization.
I saw someone complaining about a clip of Angel coming onto Husk and they made it seem awkward. It's supposed to be awkward, not funny. Just because a character themselves says a joke doesn't mean it's a joke written for the audience. A lot of angels lines are meant to be characterizations likely based around trauma.
As for the use of swearing, I don't get why everyone thinks swearing is supposed to be the punchline either. A character can say "f you" without it being a punchline, but because it's a comedy, everyone expects every line to be an attempt to be funny. It's just to set a tone and provide characterization. I'm just tired of people being upset that they're not laughing on the ground because of an unfunny joke that isn't even supposed to be really funny.
Like, I get the problems with this show, but I feel like some of the people who are upset just don't really understand storytelling. Which is funny, cuz storytelling is often the real place this show suffers. Like, if it was because they felt the show needed double the episodes, that's a valid critique. But people just think it's supposed to be funny the entire time.
I think the best example of what I'm trying to say can be found in the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. There's a lot of slapstick scenes because it's about a cartoon rabbit accused of murder. However, the slapstick exists just to world build the fact that this is, Indeed, a cartoon rabbit in the regular world. I've seen the film a million times and I don't think things like the pronoun game are meant to make anybody actually laugh. Or when he knocks a bunch of plates over even. It's all just tone. That's what hazbin hotel is like. It's set in a universe where things are raunchy, but not everything raunchy in the show is intended to be a real, well timed joke.

Today’s review is for Tales of the EdgeWorlds Volume 1 by Shawn Frost. I was given an ARC copy back in July of 2023, but didn’t finish reading it until recently because I bogged myself down with too many activities, and something this long takes me a while. I will go through the things I liked about it, the things I hated, and wrap it up with a score from 1-10. My scoring system goes through 5 key components, with each one going over the creative aspect and the technical aspect. I will explain that part when we get to scoring later on, so let’s plow on through.
This is a collection, about 266 pages long, and is meant to be the first installment of a comedy series. Shawn runs a Youtube channel where he covers lolcows and does gaming streams, so comedy should come naturally to him. As a volume, this holds 4 short stories, each one holding about 8 chapters, with each story running for about 20k words. Technically, we can say it’s 4 novelettes, but as I explain the situation, you’ll see why they are so long. The plot may seem complex but the main characters go through the same situations: the dimensional merge occurred, between all of our creative properties and C-197, with a group of rambunctious penguins doing mercenary work.
Sadly, it’s not really the Chris-Chan version of a dimensional merge, so we do not see Sonichu or any of that wacky world… yet. It's volume 1, so it's too early to say it's not open to the possibilities. The style runs close to internet memes and those old Newgrounds cartoons, with the focus aimed at action scenes and descriptions of the creative world around their setups. But, as you read through the massive amount of descriptions and banter, you'll realize that very little happens in each story. I would say each one is very simple and with a low reading level needed to get through them, which is a double-edged sword in this case.
I say this because the writing tries too hard to claim a joke was made when it wasn’t really a “ha-ha” joke to begin with. It’s more like “ah… humor is detectable somewhere in these pages” kind of comedy. It relates to the offensive animals of Fritz the Cat, where the comedy comes from the absurdity of a setup, rather than a punchline that is found. Unfortunately, because the satire is absent and it focuses too much on the premise, the result becomes more like my favorite episode of Heil Honey I’m Home, minus Hitler and his annoying neighbors. The banter bogs down the pacing, turning each chapter into a short, yet overly long, sample of a scene, chained together by constantly shifting points of view.
Thankfully, this simple way of approaching a story allows a casual reader to speed on by. Things are easy to follow and characters are easy to remember. The main cast of Edgy, Jeff, Todd, and Hylus are separated by their brand of chaotic addictions. Addiction to drugs, addiction to hentai, addiction to video games, addiction to murder; all greatly expressed in what are meant to be running gags that resemble a sitcom cast. The ship they travel around in, from job to job, can easily be imagined as a "That '70s Show basement" version of the ship in The Orville, as each story goes to different planets where they meet different aliens.
There is enough in each story to understand what is going on, with the stories more as an exploration of lore than an exploration of character or theme. The lack of focus, as well as the indifferent prose, harms the way each tale is told. I would never say these are bad ideas or bad concepts, just bad ways to get them across. High concept, low composition. I would say the main value is from the promise of more to come than what is presented in the pages.
Time for the rating, which will be given between 0-2. 1 point goes to the technical aspect and 1 point goes to the creative side of things. Flaws within a point will reduce it into smaller decimals, but a single aspect is not able to entirely kill a story on its own. If it’s all technical or all creative, a story will be treated as mediocre. Even if I like something, it is still possible to get a 5/10, meaning it’s not suitable for the average reader who is more accepting of a 7 or an 8.
Plot: 1.5 Things happen and people go places in the form of a violent travelog. The pacing bogs down the destination with tourist traps.
Characters: 1.5 The characters play their roles well, even though their roles don’t play well with the plot. Their banter and quirks fall flat in parts.
Prose: 1 With clear points between A and B, wet and sloppy ideas are delivered dry and brittle. With each paragraph shoving lore down the reader’s throat, it can become death by a thousand detours.
Theme: 1 There is a great message about how chaos and anarchy transforms people into primitive animals. Unfortunately, the author couldn’t find it in the infinite vastness of subspace.
Setting : 2 It is a world you want to know more about and look forward to the next bit of info. Creative, exotic, to the proper point of chaotic, yet still comprehensible. Everything about this book is in the setting.
Final verdict: 7/10
The book is niche, it takes a while to heat up, and even then it’s as appealing as a mystery flavor hot pocket. If you’re into absurdity, you will enjoy it. I just wish the absurdity had some life behind it. There is room for expansion and I hope that opportunity is taken.

So I want to get some sort of tattoo related to bobs burgers. An ode to this show i love so much. I have black and grey patchwork tattoos. I don’t think i want one of the main characters directly. I wonder if this is the reason as to why I don’t have any grand ambitions, or a will to truly live and discover things that would fulfill me. I have never found anything worth investing my time in, except observing the joy in people’s smiles. As much of a cunt as I am, I rejoice making people happy.
For me, I gain little happiness by doing things for myself, yet I love second-hand happiness, the smiles and the giggles, they rile me up, giving me a high that no drug ever could. But some days I question to myself if this even is the proper way to be happy.
I despise this part of me.
I have never truly loved someone in my life; I’ve only ever devoted myself to them.
I wish I knew what love felt like, what liking someone felt like, what being kind felt like, what infatuation must feel like.
I just wished to feel emotions, any emotion other than bottled-up rage.
I’ve locked my heart away, my upbringing wasn’t very kind to me, nor was my own brain, so I locked parts of me that I didn’t like, the parts my caretakers disapproved of, the parts that my so-called friends rejected, the part that I thought this world wouldn’t accept, and now I’ll lock this memory away too, because, well, its easy, so much easier than peeling my skin back and solving me, confronting myself, solving this puzzle called my life.
I feel broken, I have lived my life for so long being a secondary character in my own story that I have forgotten how to be ME?
But sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and smile, cause well, What if not figuring out me is, ME?
What if my entire journey in this life were about forging myself into ME?
That gives me hope, that makes me want to be saved, saved from this dreadful feeling of not knowing me in my entirety, the feeling of being a fake version of me.
I want to be saved.

Graphics/art style: I remember the golden spheres being 3D and realistic (considering when it was released). Can't recall the camera, maybe first person throughout the maze? For sure first person when facing the totem and dealing with the trivia question.
Notable characters: A girl that was imprisoned (?) in a room working a weaving machine (?) during the day and would go out in search of spheres during the night
Notable gameplay mechanics: While the girl was looking for the spheres in the maze, you'd have three paths to choose from (north, northeast and northwest). Each of these would have a totem with a trivia question where, if you got it right, it'd open and reveal if there was a golden sphere inside
Other details: I remember when the totem screen would open and it had a golden sphere, the sound was very characteristic, kind of whooshing. Not sure how to describe it. If a golden sphere was found, it'd go back to the room where she was imprisoned and each day it'd increase the amount of stuff she weaved.

Not sure if this is related to emotional dysregulation, but I have a very bubbly personality. I am the manic pixie girl by nature (unfortunately)
And it has been pointed over by my friends several times that what I think is always displayed on my face... like if I don't like the way the convo is going, the displeasure I feel is on my face. I am an expressive cartoon character (their words lol)
And more often than not, I give over-the-top exaggerated reactions. Like when I am happy or laughing or making fun or anything where I express myself and honestly, I think it makes me look like this ditzy person which I don't like.
I also talk A LOT. To the point that my friends and family tease me for my incessant talking.
Sometimes, when I get too much passionate about anything my voice automatically increases and I don't even realise I am speaking loudly.
So, is there any way I give my reactions like a normal person instead of emoting them cartoonishly and also talking less?
