So, admittedly, I did dive deeper into these threads after writing this all out and gained a little knowledge but confirmation never hurt.
For starters, I'm a semi-recently divorced veteran, and I used my benefits to purchase a home with my ex-wife years ago. The home is currently almost refinanced by my ex, and I've signed the documents to release my benefits back to me.
I am planning to have a home built. I live in Wisconsin. My credit is 750ish, and I make upwards of $65,000 with a current DTI of only about .2-.24. And a pretty healthy savings account. So, I assume based on that, the initial start of the process should have no issues since they look at those things first.
I have a few questions in really no specific order.

1. I do own land, but I don't plan to build on it. I am looking to purchase land elsewhere and have some leads currently. I'm not sure if it would be best to A) spend a large chunk of my savings on land. B) finance the land separate from the VA. C) Finance it all as one, as I believe construction could start almost immediately. Option A doesn't sound the best as I don't want to allocate all my savings towards land should I need it during the home building process. (C seems the best after research)
   
2. The main reasons I want to go this route is because my brother is a GC and is willing to build the home with a huge discount on labor. And because the housing market is absurd here, of course. I've read about the approved builders list and that it's a simple process to be approved for, and they may be going away with it entirely. Either way, I just wanted to confirm that it should be no issue for him to be approved, assuming he possesses all the required credentials and whatever else may be necessary. He has plenty of ground up completions over the last few years.
   
3. I was curious about the best route to take here as I've read about oe time closing. Two time closing. All that stuff. Just curious about the pros and cons there. And with that, would it be best to just go to my local credit union to begin this process? That's what I did with my current VA home loan, and it felt like a very smooth and easy process. They were basically the middle man but I'm not sure if going that direction this time would be the same given the change in loan type. (More research is telling me to do the one time closing option which I kind of understand. And to go straight to a VA rep)
   
4. What types of deposits/down payments are generally required? I read about contractors requiring a deposit, but I don't have that issue with it being my brother. Even so, I could probably pay it. I was just spitballing with him recently, and he was explaining to me that what I want should cost no more than $120,000 plus whatever I may be able to purchase land for. I'm just throwing that number out as a basis, considering that's probably lower than typically expected.
   

I believe that's about it as far as initial questions/concerns. I did not want to begin speaking with lenders/VA without having at least some type of knowledge on the subject so I could point out potential inaccuracies or offer alternatives. Thanks in advance!

Hello, just some questions to get me moving ahead as I learn more about the game as I play-- some broad, some quite specific. These are questions I have that I don't think I'd find with a simple google search. Plus this community has been very helpful so I think I'd get more out of this thread than going online for these types of questions.
I'm currently in Wutai. Fought off that one guy trying get a bride (forgot his name). I got my materias back from Yuffie.

1. Should I only grind Aerith to a limited point because she dies anyway? Please elaborate without spoilers. I know how she dies. I just generally don't know when. She's currently lvl 39 with only 2 of her Level 1 Limit Break.
   
2. What are some fun facts about the All-materia? I heard it sells for 1.4m gil but I kind of like it's effect. Is it worth selling or keeping? I have 2 of them.
   
3. I have 200k gil from just leveling up. Will I need significantly more money down the line for important items and upgrades? Or am I on pace to be comfortable in spending my gil?
   
4. I have been told that when leaving rocket town, I should be around lvl 40-45. As I said, I finished Wutai and 3 in my party are level 46-45 (Cloud, Tifa & Vincent). What level should I be when making my way to Temple of Ancients? --P.S. I'm having a hard time understanding what are optimal levels when entering a new town. I tend to go underleveled because I get excited to finding out what's next in the story. I know I need to slow down
   
5. Is the Deathblow Materia even good? I've paired with MP absorb and seems to work. Gives me 5 MP sometimes. Other than that, it seems like it's just another Attack ability that does a little more damage when it hits.
   
6. I used Cure paired with MP absorb, and got back 13 MP. Cure uses only 4?? Is that a good pair since I got back more than triple of the MP I just used? I have Cure2, working on getting Cure3
   
7. What are better pairs/uses for MP absorb do you guys like to use?
   
8. Who is the best to use the Counter Materia on?
   
9. Who is the best to use the Cover Materia on?
   
10. When are good times to use the Summons? I hardly ever use them. They're strong but they also cost a lot of MP currently.
    
11. I see that as I level up, those who aren't in my current party level up as well but at a slower pace? Does anyone know the math or multiplier for unused party members leveling up? And is knowing that information even helpful? Should I take them out once in a while and level them up? OR just stick with my core of Tifa & Vincent?
    
12. I was told to feed kills to other party members because Cloud just wipes everyone. What are some of your methods? I would use Mini on enemies or Manipulate or simply just defend to avoid doing damage.

I feel like the fundamentals of OG FF7 doesn't come naturally to me so I find myself asking lots of questions or worse, moving forward with the game being oblivious to certain mechanics or upgrades.

Best advice & things I'd do differently:

• If it's you're first time visiting, wear that "first visitor" badge everywhere. It was both my husband and son's first trip and my son in particular, recieved above and beyond treatment from almost every Cast Member he interacted with.
• Is having to pay for Genie+ annoying AF? Yes. However, I did feel it was worth the money given the fact that this is probably a once a decade trip for our family - it felt like a small sacrifice to be able to get on every single ride we wanted. Based on some of the commentary on this sub + YouTube, I thought it was going to be a nightmare to use but I got the hang of it pretty quickly!
• We had a character lunch booked at Tusker House which we ultimately cancelled, and I don't regret it at all. The price is outrageous and the meal was going to cost us over $200 CAD. We were able to meet almost every single character in the parks by either using Genie+ or waiting in a short queue. We put that money towards a nicer dining experience at Sebastians at Carribean Beach instead!
• I really, really, really wish we had accounted for a pool day somewhere in the middle because by the time day four came around, I was feeling ROUGH. I am in very good physical shape, I wore the best walking shoes money can by and I still felt like shit.
• Unless you have an annual pass or are planning multiple visits in the next year or two, I firmly believe that Magic Bands are completely useless and a huge waste of money. I had originally planned to buy one for my son but for over $50 CAD, I couldn't justify it.
• For the hotter months, buy a pack of cooling towels off of Amazon. You can get a pack of 4 for $15 CAD - whereas in the park, you're paying around $25 USD for one. My son gets overheated very easily and these were a lifesaver when the sun really hit us in the afternoon.
• If you can afford it, stay at a hotel with access to the Skyliner. It is SO much better than being crammed into an overcrowded shuttle bus.
• If you're planning to use the Virtual Queue for Guardians/Tron, log onto the app 2 minutes beforehand and just keep hitting refresh until it turns 7 am/1 pm. We used this tactic and were able to get on both rides no problem (we actually rode Tron twice and it is AMAZING)
• On the same theme as above, no ride is worth paying individual fast pass fees for IMO - especially Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. I was thoroughly underwhelmed.
• If you go to Animal Kindgom, you MUST do the Wilderness Explorer Challenge. I'm not sure who enjoyed this more - my husband and I or our four year old. It was such a fun way to explore the park and my son was SO excited to get his Explorer badge at the end. This was truly one of the biggest highlights of the trip!

I'm really interested in diving into the questions of what makes storytelling work and how that varied across time and cultures.
How does the tense and point of view actually affect the story being told? How does suspension of disbelief work? How are tropes and cliches formed? How do they effect how a story is told? What are elements of storytelling that we take for granted?
Obviously I have a lot of questions. Some of them seem simple, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was more to them.
Like I said, not necessarily an instructional book (although I do plan on reading some of those). I just feel like there's some elements of storytelling that may be glossed over if there was a focus on the reader being an aspiring writer. And I don't necessarily want the analysis to be limited by medium or genre.
I know that's probably a lot to fit into one book, so if there's anything that's more specific that's fine too. I'm just fascinated in how much we take for granted in how stories are told.

The master of ceremonies glanced at the paper in his hand, and a glimpse of confusion showed on his face.
Something was wrong.
“And the third and last team representing Farcrest. Lowell’s Orphanage!”
Elincia clung to my arm, fear and impotence reflected in her expression. We were supposed to be called Rosebud Fencing Academy during the tournament. I clenched my jaw and glanced across the pavilion, giving [Awareness] free rein. Lord Osgiria gave me a mocking look.
I cursed. Among the nobility, everything was appearances. The fact that Farcrest had to resort to a poor orphanage for representation spoke badly about the state of affairs in the territory. The nobles around us exchanged funny looks.
“Keep your heads up. That’s our call,” I said, loud enough for the whole pavilion to hear us. If nobles thought this would weigh upon our shoulders, they were wrong.
Ilya took position by my right as the team captain, and we entered the crescent-shaped arena. The cheering died. Our magnificent uniforms didn’t fool the crowd anymore. I reached the Marquis's side and saluted the VIP box. Only after Prince Adrien started applauding did the rest of the nobles acknowledge our presence.
The commoners in the stands hesitated to cheer for us. This wasn’t a gentle world. They didn’t care about the kid’s feelings. I glanced over my shoulder. Wolf was unfazed, and Zaon moved his lips, repeating, ‘Nervous is good’ repeatedly. Firana, on the other hand, was furious.
“Tough crowd, uh?” I muttered.
“It’s only expected. Orphans don’t get good classes. There is no reason to cheer for us,” Ilya replied with a grin. “Yet.”
Did she look so mature back at the carriage?
The crowd’s attention lingered on us for an instant before the next team entered the arena. To my surprise, a single team represented the royal family: a group of cadets from the Imperial Academy. Five young cadets dressed in plain black, guided by Holst, entered the arena. The crowd came back to life. Considering the opulence of the other teams, the uniforms of the Imperial Academy cadets were disappointing. Even my group was better suited to the occasion.
Holst stood by my left, saluting the stands with a dull gesture.
“Robert Clarke, good to see you still among the living,” he greeted me with a bored tone.
His words, however, sent a shiver down my spine. Did he know assassins had tried to kill me a few days before? Captain Kiln had sworn to keep it a secret. The coincidences piled up. Holst knew about the attack and asked Lyra Jorn’s help with the library when Luzian Abei had a small army of Scholars and Scribes at his disposal. I couldn’t help but think Holst was still in contact with the culprit.
“Preceptor Holst,” I coldly greeted, my brain too busy to formulate a more wordy sentence.
“I didn’t expect to meet my former students,” he added, looking past me at Ilya and the kids. “Certainly not in these circumstances.”
I swallowed my anger. This was a golden opportunity for the orphanage. Watching the skill of the imperial cadets could help me understand why Sir Janus had been the only commoner in Farcrest to assist the Imperial Academy. Even if we lost the tournament, we could improve our chances of getting them accepted into the Imperial Academy, putting them in the same echelon as nobles.
“Do you trust the ability of your current students to win the tournament?” I asked, examining the cadet’s faces. Three humans, a half-elf, and a harpy. They didn’t seem thrilled to be part of the tournament.
Holst laughed.
“These idiots aren’t my students. These five failed their first year. If they don’t win the tournament, they will be kicked out of the Academy,” he replied, shrugging. “For failures like them, I’d say they are the favorites to win the tournament.”
A glance at the Imperial Academy team revealed their strong shoulders and steady feet. Despite the lack of fashion, they looked like trained warriors instead of pampered noble kids. Their faces had lost the roundness of childhood, and their calm demeanor and sharp eyes revealed an intense training regime. I hoped not to bump into them until the later rounds of the tournament.
Our conversation was cut short because the Osgirian teams entered the arena. First, Lord Osgiria, then Lord Nara, and finally, a man dressed as a knight, followed by a group of kids in mismatched uniforms—each one with the colors of their respective houses. Lord Osgiria stood by Holst's side and greeted the VIP box.
If Captain Kiln were right, our team would fight Lord Nara in the first round. I expected the man to be a merchant with a comically large belly. Instead, he looked like a cunning gray fox. I had to remind myself that buying a way into nobility required a skillful negotiator.
“Three teams, Lord Osgiria? You don’t seem too confident in your chances,” Holst casually said.
The Imperial Academy had to be a powerhouse within the kingdom because Lord Osgiria swallowed any snarky remark.
Lord Herran, a tall and muscular redhead dressed in full warrior attire, entered next. I remembered him from the feast—boisterous, talkative, determined. The black mana-repelling axe hung from his belt, causing my stomach to feel sick if I looked for too long. House Herran only had two teams, one led by Lord Herran himself and the other by a man who could be his twin. Only half of the team members were human; the other half were different flavors of beast folk.
More than half of the kids had bright red hair like their lord. I wondered if red hair was a dominant gene in the Herran Dukedom because the kids looked healthy. There was not a trace of the infamous Habsburg chin. They were tall and robust like their lord.
I tried to glance at the axe’s runes, but Lord Herran was too far away.
“That’s lord Herran and his army of copperhead bastards,” Holst pointed out, laughing at his joke.
I doubted that having a dozen children the same age was normal, even more so for a noble, considering how difficult succession could be. Lord Herran must’ve loved to spread his genes.
“It’s okay for him to present his… illegitimate kids in an official event like this?” I asked.
“Do you like gossip, Robert Clarke?” Holst raised an eyebrow.
“I like to be informed,” I replied.
Holst seemed satisfied with my answer.
“Lord Herran is one of the few Combat Prestige Classes in the kingdom. He has the [Conqueror] Class,” Holst replied. “It’s only natural that he can do whatever he wants. Not even the king has enough power over Lord Herran to stop his… reproductive impulses.”
I nodded. The relationship between the royal house and the great three dukedoms was more complex than I initially thought. According to the stories, Combat Prestige Classes were, in essence, one-man armies that could create whole countries around their power. I wondered what kind of monsters the royal army found in the Deep Farlands to be obliged to retreat.
After Lord Herra, Lord Gairon entered the arena. The Gairon House was arguably the second most powerful family after the royal house, and their uniforms reflected their status. The blue was rich and deep, and the gold shone under the winter sun, seemingly casting the few clouds away. The crowd yelled and cheered. It wasn’t surprising. Lord Gairon was a tall, tanned man with hair the color of ripe wheat—the perfect poster boy and leader of the anti-war faction.
“He has to go down if we want the royal faction to have a chance,” Holst said.
It suddenly hit me. Holst and I technically supported the same faction.
“Lord Gairon is also a Prestige Class?” I asked.
“A [Sacred Knight], yes. Rumor says he reached the mythic level sixty,” Holst replied. “Let’s hope their teams are more… farming inclined.”
The crowd became more tame after the three big houses made their entrance. Lord Vedras received less than half of House Gairon’s support, probably because of the tax disputes between Farcrest and the Vedras dukedom. He had brought three teams.
Duke Jorn’s presence almost caused the arena to become completely silent—Holst told me he was also a high-level Prestige Class, a Shadow Stalker.
“That sounds dangerous,” I pointed out.
“Sellen Jorn is one of the most dangerous men in the kingdom. His mere existence was enough for the king to create a whole new duchy,” Holst said. “Take an Assassin and a Shadow Fencer, mix them, double their powers, and then double them again. That’s a Shadow Stalker in a nutshell.”
I tried to imagine it. The Assassin who attacked the orphanage would have had a hard time with any class without a skill like my mana blades. I had been lucky to have a favorable matchup against him; otherwise, I might have been dead. His capacity to disable my movement was scarily effective. A man with the skills of an Assassin and a Shadow Fencer had dangerous implications.
“Prince Adrien wanted Sellen Jorn as his Master of Assassins, but he didn’t want to leave his people in the north,” Holst said. “Walls, doors, bars, locks, nothing can stop a Shadow Stalker. Only the woven barrier of several high-level Fortifiers can stop him. Or so it’s said.”
Gears turned inside my skull. I wondered if Duke Jorn was involved in the disappearance of the evidence of Raudhan’s poisoning. He certainly had the skill to move unnoticed through the Great Hall. Stealing a box with shards of glass would be a walk in the park for him.
The rest of the teams passed in a blur as my mind reviewed the party's events. Sellen Jorn was undoubtedly suspicious. His lack of presence was as unnerving as it was useful for an infiltration mission. Could he be involved in Raudhan’s poisoning? Lord Vedras had denied the existence of any co-conspirators, and we were almost entirely sure that Raudhan hadn’t been poisoned by Ashroot.
Duke Jorn's political positioning was hard to determine. The northern dukedoms were poor, and just like Farcrest, they served as a bulwark against the Monster Surges. Four families controlled most of the kingdom’s economy and politics. House Gairon, House Herran, House Osgiria, and the Royal Family. The northern dukedoms didn’t benefit from the current trade routes and wouldn’t directly benefit from a new trade route into the Kingdom of Tagabiria.
However, they would benefit from a closer relationship with the royal family.
Duke Jorn had no reason to poison Captain Kiln.
Ilya tugged the sleeve of my jacket, bringing me back to the present. The master of ceremonies was finishing a long speech about the legacy of Stephaniss of Farcrest, the previous lord of the city and the Marquis's grandfather. Even the Marquis seemed bored.
“Prince Adrien will draw the matches for the first round!” The master of ceremonies announced.
Prince Adrien came forward, and an assistant brought a glass bowl filled with small wooden rods. He put his hand in the bowl, picked one randomly, and passed it to his companion. The woman dressed in purple read it out loud, her voice magically amplified. Her pleasant contralto voice made me think she was a singer.
“House Nara versus…” she received the second wooden rod. “Lowell’s Orphanage!”
Just like Captain Kiln had warned me.
I didn’t expect us to be the opening fight. The other teams returned to the pavilion, and a group of Scribes carried the System Shrine Shard embedded in its copper nest to the center of the arena. I assumed it was there to ensure all participants met the requirements for the tournament.
“Let’s go, team,” I said.
We formed next to the Shrine Shard and in front of Lord Nara’s team. The master of ceremonies activated the blue orb, and the kids' names, classes, and levels appeared before us. Luckily, Lord Nara and I were exempt from the crystal ability. Being outed as a Runeweaver wasn’t part of my plans.

The System prompts might have been big enough for the crowd to read because a murmur rose from the stands. I didn’t need [Awareness] to understand the commotion. Half of my team was classless in a world where Classes were everything. Lord Nara also seemed to notice the discrepancy between our teams.
“I’m feeling generous today, Mister Caretaker. I will gladly accept your surrender and spare you the embarrassment if you apologize for wasting our time,” Lord Nara said with a mellow, totally fake voice. “You can save the kids the shame of losing in front of their countrymen.”
The master of ceremonies looked at me.
“What do you think, Ilya?” I asked.
“The team is ready, Mister Clarke. We fight,” she replied without any hint of doubt.
Despite Lord Nara’s clever expression, he was underestimating us. I couldn’t blame him. He had lived all his life in a world where value was determined by class and level. Developing an eye for people wasn’t as helpful as on Earth, where it could mean the difference between life and death.
“We fight,” I said.
“Don’t say I didn’t extend the courtesy of an honorable withdrawal,” Lord Nara grinned, his fox-like eyes turned into thin lines.
The master of ceremonies nodded.
“The Rules are simple. The team that loses the coin toss has to choose its first fighter, and then the winning team chooses its opponent. Then, the roles change. Every team has two picks and two counter picks, for a total of four fighters,” the master of ceremonies explained, pulling a gold coin from the pocket.
I nodded. There was a level of strategy involved in the pairing phase. I could pair Firana against their weakest member to ensure a vast point difference. Or I could choose Zaon to keep things equalized. If I were Lord Nara, I would leave the Lv.7 Courier outside the selection. As fast as they were, they weren’t a combatant Class, but on the other hand, even non-combatants could develop useful masteries.
Zaon had a good matchup against the Soldier and the Warrior, as their combat skills were on the ‘basic’ side of the spectrum. However, the Archer, the Geomancer, and the Courier could present a problem to him. Wolf also had a bad matchup against the Archer and the Geomancer because he relied on solid and static positioning to use his muscles. Ilya and Firana had good matchups against the enemy team, but the enemy Geomancer worried me the most. She wasn’t just an Advanced Class, but a relative of Lord Nara.
“Here goes the coin,” the master of ceremonies said. He threw it high and caught it mid-flight.
Lord Nara kindly offered me the call.
“Heads,” I replied with a grin.
“Heads,” the master of ceremonies said, revealing the coin.
[Awareness] didn’t disappoint, but I made a mental note to keep it hidden from Ilya. She wouldn’t be on board with blatant cheating, even if we had the disadvantage. As cunning as Ilya was, strategy and cheats were completely different.
Lord Nara huffed. “Lino, you go first.”
The Soldier kid stepped forward. He was tall, probably a year older than my kids, but [Awareness] told me he was nervous. Soldier Class was painfully close to no class at all.
“Zaon, you go first. Is that okay with you?” I said, hoping the combination of Light-Footed and Lv.2 Longsword Mastery would match a Lv.9 Soldier with a couple of skills under his sleeve.
Zaon nodded.
It was my turn to choose and Lord Nara’s turn to counter-pick. “Ilya, you go second,” I said.
Ilya came forward, prompting a laugh from the rival Fighter.
“Do you want to fight the gnome, Arel?” Lord Nara asked.
“Yes, my lord. I’m confident I can get a ten-point lead over a Gnome Hunter,” Arel Nara replied.
A vein popped on Ilya’s forehead.
“Good. I chose my cousin Arel Nara for the second fight,” Lord Nara said.
Then, Lord Nara selected the Archer boy for the third fight, which put me in a tough spot. The Archer and the Geomancer were hard matchups for Wolf, and I lacked a fifth or sixth member to play around it. Nonetheless, the Archers weren’t known for their vast arsenal of skills.
“Wolf, you go against him,” I said.
Wolf nodded.
“Which leaves us with the last pair,” Lord Nara said with a mocking smile.
“Firana, you go last,” I said.
“Belya, my daughter, will be my last pick,” Lord Nara replied.
The dueling pairs were ready.
“So be it. The tournament's first match will be between Lino the Soldier and Zaon the Elf,” the master of ceremonies said, his voice suddenly amplified again as the Scribes took the System Shrine orb away. “Contestants, please go get your equipment. May the System bless you all.”

I liked the shirts jab at the American Government. Its white and in navy blue writing has a quip about "paying more and getting less" and thought "I like that! I can't wear white I'll stain it, I always do. Husband would like it!" I took it to the counter and paid, then texted my husband telling him "I got you a new shirt! It's white since you always wear black and don't have anything white bc I've stained all your shirts!" I washed the shirt, I read the back of the shirt, I hung the shirt up. Last night, my husband comes home from work and gets the shirt and tells me he loves it but didn't I say it was white? The shirt in his hand was BLACK?! I couldn't sleep. I remember it being white, I thought about it being white and easy to stain before I got it, I texted about the white shirt. I decided that something black in the laundry dyed the shirt totally black. I just got done studying it for any signs that I was right. The shirt is black. The shirt has always been black but I literally would have bet you a large lump sum of money if you'd doubted me yesterday. In relative terms, the Jewish holocaust wasn't unique in the context of WW2. According to Wikipedia, in WW2, approximately 8 million Chinese civilians were killed; 5-10 million Russian civilians were killed; 1-3 German civilians were killed, etc.
6 million Jewish civilians was certainly a lot, but it wasn't unique. The reason it is given a "special status" in history is because what it reveals about human nature. The extermination was systematic and clinical. It was decided in a boardroom based on ideology.

To reiterate, "I would like to request all geographic information system (GIS) records, including Nearmap.com, images, maps, audit logs, and other data accessed by XXXXXXX and/or other King County personnel relating to parcel XXXXXXX."
I have a follow up question: Have any responsive records been withheld?
On 5/01/2024 you wrote, “King County Code Enforcement uses subscription-based online applications ConnectExplorer and Nearmap for aerial imagery, and several images of this parcel were saved to the XXXXXXX case file. We have no records responsive to the request for audit logs.”
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) defines “audit log” as 1) a chronological record of system activities, including records of system accesses and operations performed in a given period (NIST SP 800-172A) and 2) a record providing documentary evidence of specific events (NIST SP 800-152).
An audit log for GIS records (including ConnectExplorer and Nearmap) will have responsive records that include native high-resolution imagery, angle, measurement, ground sample distance (GSD), overlay, analysis, and any other tool or data that was accessed, inspected, prepared, used or retained in a user session. Additionally, an audit log documents user name, date and time of access, location of access, device used to access, etc.
The requested records should be sufficiently comprehensive to allow for simulation and assessment of every King County Code Enforcement GIS user session relating to parcel XXXXXXX.

A quick recap:
It has come to my attention that the county is using private GIS services to inspect our property. That's fine. The revelation to me is that these services use low flying aircraft and ultra-resolution cameras to capture im at a 40-50 degree side angle. From the marketing material users are able to read 6" print signs at ground level from four directions. There are no 'audit logs' or other records available that document usage of this service by the county. It feels very invasive. The Permitting department has not responded to my requests for what specific subscriptions they are using. My FOIA request is at a dead end.

How bad do you need to be to cheat in a simple gun game?? I played ranked squad fills and met a player. The player ( Karson2342. Epic: daddywells2020 ). Their rank had been RESET from Elite to Gold bc they unknowingly played with a cheater through squad fills. You won't know whether the players you're playing with or against are cheaters It's INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT that people are discussing + doing everything to prevent it from happening.
I trust that this player isn't cheating because the 1st match recorded was because we had a camper on OUR TEAM who were NOT contributing at all in a TEAM MODE. We already lost a player in the beginning and the only one left was the Jeff guy who sat in the edge of the map the majority of the time.
Me + Karson decided to throw the game despite him being in Elite. Who does that? Cheaters don't throw away matches in rank. They cheat to win. That's the point. That's how I know ( Karson ) they're being truthful and they're being serious. For me, you guys have already seen my cup video so it's so OBVIOUS and I've been stuck in Diamond. + I still have my rank.

UNLESS IF you're PURPOSEFULLY ( not squad fills ) are playing with cheaters then I don't believe players should be punished because of someone else. That just DEFEATS the ENTIRE thing about rank reflecting one's skill because I've seen players comment that their ranks had been reset before. Does that mean their bad as well? NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Rank is a JOKE.

Message for GDKP simps: Since GDKP is the best system for keeping geared players in raids, for making players stick to the end, and for ensuring players watch mechanics since they can have their cut taken from them, most people would gravitate towards it. Now, I don't have numbers, but let's say half of the players spend 8 hours farming a day, or sit at the AH and just earn gold. It is perfectly reasonable for those players who don't enjoy raiding to still have the best gear in the game, and therefore go and buy it. The problem arises when players who play few hours and are not good at raiding want to join raids. Most people gravitate towards GDKP, and they feel they don't have the skill and gear to join, and they don't have legitimate gold to buy it. Then the most logical solution for them is to buy gold with real money. So the pressure is there, and GDKPs do put pressure on those kinds of players, driving them to engage in RMT, and I totally understand the Blizzard line of thinking (even though I think they just don't address the problem from the root cause but just give a pill to fix short-term solutions). But unless Blizzard can fix it (and I will explain later how they can), for now banning GDKPs is the best solution possible. The same goes for leveling; giving people dungeon spams and incursions forces everyone to level most efficiently, so if they just removed EXP, the world would feel more alive. And you can say you can still quest, but it is different when everyone on the server is on quests or you are alone in the big world and everyone is in X part of the world doing the same thing, while you try to kill an Elite for a quest just by yourself. People from OG Classic will remember how easy it was to come to the Elite and find 2-3 people already waiting there for more randoms to come and join to kill the Elite to finish a quest. So letting GDKP go through is killing normal guilds, and you can not deny that.
Message for GDKP haters: Reddit is full of players obsessed with their egos, and I reached out anonymously (same as with this account) and started asking them why they hate GDKP. When you start putting "if"s, you come to the conclusion that it is just an ego issue and it has nothing to do with prices in the game or with RMT. Eight out of ten conversations came to this conclusion, and paraphrasing here: "If Blizzard had the option to stop RMT, they would still be against it since noobs should not be allowed to get the best gear in the game." And "It would be fine to have GDKPs, but back in the game where the best loot would be for the guild and sell trash from the raid to noobs who want to pay gold." Again, I reached out to ten people who were against GDKPs, and only one of them didn't mention this reason. Only one mentioned inflation because of GDKP, and when you just showcase that gold is already in the game, so no RMT, there is no new gold generated by GDKPs; they just hit you with: "You don't understand." In reality, inflation is happening because of botting, and that botting generates new gold that is sold to people willing to buy. So if RMT is stopped, GDKP cannot possibly cause inflation; therefore, botting is the only problem for inflation. Without inflation, there is only supply and demand as any economy would function. The more an item is needed, the more it will cost, the more people farm it will start to cost less, and if someone has a monopoly, it would skyrocket. Economy 101.
Fix of the issue: Blizzard should implement an in-game option for loot GDKP, the same as Master loot. When that option is selected, create a UI for GDKP functionalities, bidding, splitting, etc. But in that functionality, Blizzard should conduct a full-on scan of that account and any gold incoming through the account that doesn't make sense. For example, just gained X gold from someone who never communicated with that person, sold Y item that is usually 2s for huge amounts of gold, and so on. Instantly flag that account for a person to go in and check it manually for less room for error, and if even suspicion by a real person, ban them for 7 days and put them into "semi-blacklist" accounts that are monitored as "possible RMT". If the offense is repeated and there is proof that they bought gold, permanent ban them. That way, everyone participating in those kinds of GDKPs would know their account will be checked, and you will make WoW less of an RMT/pay-to-win game that GDKP haters say it is.
Note for those people saying there will be loopholes, so review should be account-wide on all of your subscriptions so there is no room for "I will have a subscription to buy gold and pay for items on X sub, and play on Y sub". And again, I know there might be a workaround, but this will cut the RMT for GDKPs enormously. And again, the same for crime; you can never achieve 0% crime, but every decision should aim to enforce less crime in the real world. And from my view, botting is still happening, RMT is still happening, and GDKPs are happening. Just because some aren't aware of it, doesn't mean if they banned it no one is doing it; it's just less in the open. And punishing the population that likes GDKP since that can create an incentive to have alts, especially in SOD where you should try every class to see all runes and all possibilities, is killing the alt population.
Again, without Blizzard implementing something like this, I am still pro-"GDKP ban," but I think it is the wrong solution if they just ban it and leave it like that. They should have banned it and worked on something. This is just my idea; I believe people can come up with even better ideas. I'm just showing that this Reddit community is attacking each other without realizing both sides are partially right.
GDKP simps: "This is the best loot system, and I don't need to build my schedule around a guild and X other people. I can just log in and join GDKP and know everyone will perform since they will be punished if not performing."
GDKP haters: "It drives more RMT, it kills the guilds."
Both are correct, so we should try to fix the RMT issue and let people play how they wish to play their game.

"Hi there, Reddit should be just for you to bounce off ideas, not to listen to us. Someone will always complain. Create a vision for SOD and stick to it. Say, 'This is how we planned it. If you don't like it, you have Hardcore, Era, Cata, Retail.' We are building this as X vision and stick to your ideals. When you are game-oriented and not just focused on money to please customers and get more revenue, you understand that not everyone will love the game, but it's better to have 50% of the player base enjoying it and being subbed for 2 years because of SOD, than to change something for people who complained and will unsub after 2 months and never come back. And if you want to know if the community likes or hates something, for the love of God, don't ask on Twitter or Reddit. Put it in the game as a notice that is clickable so people who actually play the game can vote on it. Not what group has the most ragers on Reddit and Twitter. Have a poll in-game for people who are playing the game and never go on Twitter or Reddit."
Sorry for long post

I’ve no experience with using share point but the place where I work has a terrible system for logging quality and H&S tickets and I think this programme could solve it.
I’ve been reading lots of information online and it seems like this is a very achievable outcome using share point but I’m struggling with it. I’ve set up a share point, created lists which match forms, tried to create a power automate work flow but just can’t pull it all together.
I’ve mainly tried to follow the steps on this website and even tried to use a pre-made work flow found on a Microsoft page, still can’t work it out!
Can someone please break this down into a step by step guide that someone with no experience like me could follow? Our IT department said it would be a huge job to replace our quality system from 2006, I would love to prove otherwise!

I engaged a solicitor to assist with a litigation dispute as a defendant. Following their advice (which was paid for and settled) I was effectively successful in court as litigant in person.
My solicitor contacted the claimant’s solicitor to arrange costs that they owed me (to avoid the rigmarole of a costs order). Before making contact with them, my solicitor and I spoke about costs and they suggested we would ask for my costs, including currently un-billed time to cover any further work in engaging with them. I made clear I wanted my billed costs back and additional money was for the solicitor for any more costs.
When my solicitor let me know the claimant engaged on this I found out the figures they had actually claimed for. Illustrative figures below.
My billed costs: £2000
Assumed claimed: £2500 (to cover any more hours as per solicitor’s advice)
Actually claimed by solicitor: £2000
Agreed by claimant to pay: £2000
I was confused and never got a straight answer as to why they had only claimed this amount. I made clear in writing that I wouldn’t be able to accept less than £2000 as per our previous discussions. It seems they either made a mistake or couldn’t be bothered to log the extra, I don’t really know.
My solicitor then forwarded me a costs agreement (between me and claimant) to sign, effectively writing “Please can you sign this. There’s been extra work, but I suggest I send you £1850 of the settlement, which I hope you find acceptable.”
I was a little frustrated but still readily agreed, over the phone and by promptly signing the document and returning to them. Fast forward 1-2 weeks, both sides have signed and money is about to be transferred to my solicitor by claimant’s solicitor. I asked my solicitor if money had been paid and they have said “will be today. I suggest I send you £1625.”
I reply saying that I wouldn’t be able to accept that and I would be sticking to agreement we already had which prompted me to sign the costs agreement in the first place. They then offer to pay me £1700, which I also refuse.
They’re now saying that “it isn't a question of your agreeing” and they don’t intend to pay the additional money.
Assuming they pay the undisputed amount (£1700) without issue: do I have a simple case for LBA and county court claim for remaining amount we agreed by email originally (£300 to make £2000 total)? Does this behaviour breach obvious SRA guidelines?
