Anywho; I finished reading Chalice of the Gods earlier today and I came away with some thoughts.
I really enjoyed the book, and I hope we get to see even more of Percy and his life after these three are done. But, I’m also curious to know what everyone thought about (like the title says) Zeus and Ganymede’s relationship?
Ganymede’s story has always been one of my favorites (I choose to look at it as though he was abducted as a young adult.) and I was pretty excited when I found out the first book in this new little trilogy was about Percy, Annabeth and Grover helping out Ganymede.
So; what did everyone think about how Zeus treated Ganymede?
I felt like it was pretty accurate to what’s been described in previous articles about him, especially considering Rick had to kidify it. Seeing Ganymede collectively become more unhinged throughout the book was a little depressing, especially when he went around Percy’s lunchroom those couple times and refilled drinks like he was a robot. Makes you wonder how hard Zeus works the poor kid lol.

(F21) I’ve seen so much mixed information on this topic. if you go to tik tok people will say they still smoke weed and it’s been no problem for them. but if you go anywhere else looking for answers or info it’s hard to find specifics about smoking or vaping it because usually articles online are referring to tinctures or edibles when talking in terms of after bariatric surgery. does anyone here have any experience smoking it after having the bypass? and i mean smoking it not doing edibles or tinctures. i truly cannot decide between the sleeve or the bypass for this specific reason. So I have been experimenting with ballpoint pen cartridges so I can use my tattoo machine to draw some flashes and I have a hard time understanding how to do smooth shading with it. There’s this artist on instagram that I follow that is able to do this but I can’t wrap my head around it.

So, I’ve been on Adderall for about 3 years now. My dosage has stayed pretty much totally consistent, and it’s done wonders for me. Whenever the shortage occurred, I wound up switching from major pharmaceutical retailers to a local boutique pharmacy who has yet to be unable to fill my prescription. Overall, it’s been a very smooth process.
A couple of appointments ago, my doctor (psychiatrist) told me he’d switched from paper prescriptions to computer-transferred prescriptions. Before the switch, he’d hand me three paper prescriptions, all of which had specific “fill at this date” instructions. I always would bring it in on that day or later. The first time we did it without the paper prescriptions, he texted me the three refill dates before leaving his office. Again, no issues.
This time, though, he didn’t send me the refill dates, and I didn’t think about it at all until now! This might sound stupid, but will I get in trouble/flagged if I reach out to either him or my pharmacy to clarify which day I need to run in and grab it? I think I’m just afraid of coming off as displaying “addict” or “seeking” behaviors.
What do you guys think?

So I’m trying to get an old camera working: it’s a 5 Cartridge Kodak using 115 roll film or 5x7 cut sheets.
Shutter don’t work, I was able to cobble something together with a shutter from here, flange from there, lens cells from somewhere else, etc. you know how it goes.
So I wound up with a Kodamatic shutter which is totally period incorrect but it works (it’s probably from the 40s, camera is pre-1910) changed the lens cells from the original 130mm focal length to a Voltas Three-Focus 5x7 out of an old Optimo shutter (which I’d have used instead as it’s more period correct, plus Mrs Miller overhauled it years ago, but I don’t know where it is) which would be appropriate for this body. Focal length per here would be 8” which is 203mm.
Now the question is, the f/stops on the plate are calibrated for the 130mm lenses that were in the Kodamatic. How do I calculate what the actual aperture is, with the longer lens in that shutter?
(Of course I could get Grimes to engrave me a new one, but I’ve spent too much on this already.)
(Can I even use this lens with this shutter? I’m pretty sure the 130mm was a Tessar (4/3) whereas this is a Rapid Rectilinear (4/2). Is the spacing the same? How would I even know?)
Edit: tried focusing on the ground glass and it seems to work.

So I literally wasted 19,99€ + 19,99€ + 29,99€ + 29,99€ = total of 99,96€ in the past two days.
I realized that my new HP deskjet 2710e only prints something like 70 A4 color pages with all those four ink cartridges even with the lowest quality print setting. >:(
I just learned that you can refill the ink cartridges yourself, and wanted to ask is there something I need to know before refilling the ink cartridges and put them back to the printer.
Is the generally any steps you need to take for HP printers to accept the refilled cartridges to work? Any software to disable, remove ect? The actual refilling part of the cartridges I think I already understand.
Side note: Printers must be one of the worst intentional asshole-designs on the planet. So thank you for your help!

My Brother MFC-3770 prints with heavy vertical streaks and the problem almost entirely goes away if I replace the Brother TN-227 toner cartridge with an old generic one. I’ve cleaned the drum and it’s made no difference. I’ve uploaded pics of the drum dot prints plus the cartridge. What’s going on? Thanks.

Is it possible to claim on this? A filling from a back tooth fell out after a strange large chunk (appears to maybe be hardened sugar along with cornels and possible other things) was large but around the same size of a peice of popcorn, and was disguised among a handful until eaten, and then resulting in the injury. I’ve looked and seen you’re entitled to compensation if a restaurant’s food results in tooth injury, however since this is slightly different to a restaurant unsure. Mostly unsure about the fact it’s the loss of a filling and not a direct injury to the tooth? Does it still count as injury in a claim. Honestly all I’m looking for is possible coverage of the dental cost for a refilling, not long since I got the filling and it’s frustrating to have to spend it again. It’s not much for a company of this cinemas size and not looking for thousands in claims. Already filed a report at the scene and they’ve taken my details but looking for logistics on how this might go. I have the large foreign object, not the filling think it was swallowed along with the few other pieces of popcorn I failed to spit out at the time.
