You are dead! Your life was taken by a reckless driver one night. One minute you were driving your car down the Freeway and then the next you woke up in an otherworldly space full of stars, and galaxies. As you awaken, you notice a woman in a black coat standing over you. Once she notices you regain consciousness she takes a step back to give you time to process what happened. The memory of your death came flooding back. Instead of just seeing what happened from your point of view, you had to see others' perspectives on the situation. Paramedics tried to revive you, to no avail. You could hear faint screams of regret from the one who caused this, then faintly feel your last few heartbeats then nothing.
The woman apologizes, as she knows it’s not easy to process this. She then begins to process to accompany him on his journey, he has the choice of being reincarnated or going straight to heaven. That judgment was cast upon him by her as she saw all his memories within an instant. He deserved a second chance if he wanted and she proposed to him, to send him to a world full of magic and monsters. An evil king ruled over the land, and essentially he was among the thousands sent to this world to Stop the king's terror. None have succeeded. But she had faith in you. Which was more than she had in the others and he could feel her excitement to send him off.
But before she could, he did something that no one else had. He asked questions to get to know her and how she ended up in the position, and to his surprise she was once human and died young as well. But her good nature landed her in this position nearly two hundred years ago. After speaking for a while she finally had to send him off through a portal she conjured. Before sending him off he was allowed to pick his power and one thing he would like to take with him. Usually, most people in the position would take their cell phone or a book collection. Something precious to him. But to her surprise, he asked her to come along. And then it was done. Another woman appeared, someone who also cast judgments on the recently deceased and she sent them on their way, to the new village where they would call home!

it’s the end of the world, NASA found a planet named Kepler 22b, that was headed straight towards Earth, how this planet came to be in earths orbit was a mystery, and they predicted it would bypass the Earth but they soon discovered it was going to collide with earth within a year. Every night when you looked into the sky you could see the planet getting closer and closer. The population is scrambling to do everything on their bucket lists. And the military is keeping the rioting to a minimum.
Character A meets Character B meet in the grocery store as they bond over their favorite dessert knowing it might be the last time they’ll be able to taste it. As they talk they develop a friendship. Neither of them has any relatives or loved ones to spend their last days with, after getting to know each other they decide they’ll spend their last days together

6. I work nights and I sleep during the day! (But not all day) so majority of the morning and afternoon I most likely won’t be around unless I’m off, but I’m up all night! So I’ll be active then! Another regular bites the dust. Communication wasn't all that great, and there was no real plan for repayment so I filed almost immediately after the due date. Here's the full story:
Last night we went to see my favorite band (it was absolutely amazing) and we weren't planning on having a drink last night, but we both thought it wouldn't be a huge deal. I ordered a tequila redbull and he ordered a beer. I drank half of mine and told him I couldn't drink any more. So he had that and the beer.
He's had issues in the past being emotionally abusive when he gets drunk, and he has finally admitted he is an alcoholic and is trying to only have one drink at a time. Last night was great, no issues with him drinking.
We left the concert super late and got back to my aunt's house (for one night instead of driving all the way home) and crashed at her place. She's not home and is away on business.

They reached Suzune's room, and Ayanokoji sat down, talking about their next special exam, while Horikita made tea. They sat together, and after drinking the coffee, they became silent. Ayanokoji broke the silence, "Can I say something? This is important." Horikita replied, "What do you want to say?" Ayanokoji shared his past and the White Room experiences, his voice still cold, but Horikita saw a glimmer of emotion in his eyes. After hearing this, Suzune was shocked and didn't say anything, taking the tea cups from the table and washing them. Ayanokoji asked, "Why are you silent? Say something, Horikita." so I’m on bumble, and one of its features is that the convo expires within 24h of no reply. on paper, it’s a great idea! no time wastage or awkward ghosting
but it really sucks if I’m truly interested in getting to know the other person and the clock is slowly counting down. so naturally, I drafted up a follow-up message and I’m deciding to just go for it. I wouldn’t call myself assertive but I’m certainly a fighter, and I’m not afraid to reach out and be straight forward
then, the thought hit me: is it really worth it to send a follow up? I don’t want to build a one-sided relationship, nor do I want to date someone who’s not entirely invested
another thought hit me: she’s just busy, or perhaps didn’t see the message among the matches she had, or there could be other reasons & it would suck for me to miss out on a chance to know her just because I jumped to conclusions
thus, I’ve decided to just go ahead and send it. but what are your thoughts? I’m curious to hear different perspectives on this

It was around August in 2022. I was working as a technical media producer (technical directomaster control operator hybrid) at a local TV station for my 10th year. I randomly received an email from someone claiming to be the general manager of a station a couple of hours away in a bigger market with competition from other stations. He said he found me on LinkedIn and was impressed and wanted to schedule a phone interview. I had not logged into LinkedIn for a couple of years at that point, so I got on and updated it and scheduled the phone interview.
This seemed too good to be true, because I’d been dating a girl from around the area for a while and the hour and a half drive to see each other on weekends was a show of commitment so I’d need to move up there sooner or later.
Good phone interview, learned they didn’t do automation like my station, so production was its own thing and master control was its own thing. The job was for a production manager, so not only would it be the top dog director, but be over the production department. I was told an internal candidate wasn’t quite where the GM wanted the production manager to be, so that’s why I was being recruited. It was also a different media company than my station, so I had some reservations about jumping ship, but the salary was a $15k bump from where I was.
Leading up to the first interview, I did some social media sleuthing. Found out a director that had been fired from my station was working at the station I was interviewing for. He had more years of experience than me, so I suspected he was probably the internal candidate. I came up for the first interview, still under some pandemic restrictions, but it all went very well. At the end, I inquired about the director I knew, and my suspicion was correct. He was the internal candidate. Maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned him, but I felt it would be better to address the situation then rather than later if I showed up as his boss.
I was given an assignment to put together a 30-60-90 day plan due at the next interview. Keeping my father updated on the situation, he wondered if the assignment was a means of getting a free “how to fix the department guide”. At the time, I lived about 20 minutes from my dad in the town over. So if I moved, I’d be an hour and a half away. But I had to live my life and look toward my future with my now wife.
I come back for a second interview, get to talk with the news director this time, and learned he had a different vision for the role than the GM. He thought the job would be normal workday hours for the most part being a managerial position. The GM had mentioned needing to be flexible to cover the whole team. Early mornings for the morning newscasts here, late nights for evening newscasts there. And of course the weekend crews. I of course wanted to get a “normal” schedule after all my years in TV because I was looking ahead to a family and such. But it was odd that I heard two different visions for the position.
Following up with the GM again, we went over my 30-60-90 day plan, which I had intentionally put in an outline form so I could verbally expand on it and avoid what my dad worries it might become. GM started tackling the subject of the director I knew. He asked how I would manage him. I threw out some crap about using him as an asset since he knew the team and routines. GM was concerned that he might bail if he didn’t get the job, and had allies in production who might bail with him because they wouldn’t work for someone from the outside over the other guy.
Here came the swerve. GM decided to, if hired, I would be brought in as a “senior director” on the same level as the internal candidate. Then we could basically tryout for and earn the manager position promotion. He said he hoped to contact me on Monday with a job offer.
I never heard from him or the station again.
Now, I was livid after that interview because that was not the job I was brought in to interview for. And all of it had gotten too messy. I was going to turn it down anyway at that point. But the ghosting. That was so unprofessional. Could I have reached out and inquired about the status of the position? Yes, but I didn’t care. I’d been burned.
Everything worked out in the end. A year later, I got a much better, 8-430 weekdays only, far higher paying job out of TV, moved up here, and married the love of my life.
But the TV job curveball and candidate ghosting, bruh. Still aggravating to think about two years later.

Every time he saw Juniper, someone was trying to kill her.
He opened the second story window and let her in, as his best friend Troy laid down as much cover fire as could be achieved with a Hawken plains rifle. She was light enough to find climbing purchase on the rough-hewn support post.
"I've got six shots in me, and one of them is lead," she told him as she climbed in the window, pulling on a metal flask that singed his nose from four feet away.
It was the little details that stuck out to him in moments like these, and he couldn't help but notice that a single wild curl had escaped the back of her modest black head covering.
"Hello, Juniper. Why are the Sioux after you?"
"Probably because I stole one of their horses to get here," she said as she reloaded her revolver.
A shot burst through the top of the window, shattering both panes. Instinctively, they all dropped to the floor. That seemed to be all. By the time they picked themselves up, the Indians were riding out of town with the stolen horse.
"That was a really expensive window! The nearest glassmaker is in Denver!" Jack's best friend said.
Juniper's voice barely shook as she asked, "How far to the doctor?"
Jack shook his head.
"The doctor has gone to the next town over. Cholera outbreak. I think I can do a better job removing the bullet than last time...but drink the rest of your liquor."
It went better than he thought it would. She screamed a little, he screamed a little, but the bullet came right out.
The recovery was worse. Not because it was more painful, but because Juniper was so restless she kept tearing her stitches.
By day three, she was trying to convince Jack to go to Canada with her to hunt man eating grizzly bears.
"There's a pretty good bounty," she said.
Jack put the last stitch in place on her shoulder.
"Does anyone want to kill you in Canada?"
"What?"
"Just thinking aloud."
A fierce wind whistled past his little wooden cabin, but it was pleasant enough inside. A small pot of coffee simmered on the wood stove.
This time, wherever she went, he was going with her. He'd spent the last year of her absence in regret for watching her ride away.
It was rumors of gold to be found further west that ultimately captured Juniper's interest.
They left on a bright Saturday morning, with two horses and the most noisy and belligerent pack mule to ever live. They had courage and supplies, but nothing could have prepared them for the journey ahead.

I guess I’m not sure where else I can say this and this seems like a safe place. I want to preface this by saying my husband is a great man and great father and great person. We got into a bit of an argument this morning because I feel very leashed. We have two kids (5 and 2) and I am a stay at home mom
I have been having a hard time for a while. A bit of history: we got pregnant unexpectedly when I was 24 and although that doesn’t seem very young I was just starting my career journey and I was very thrown off and so was my husband. I love my kids, I love my husband but I have been feeling so lost. I have always been independent and giving up my job and financial independence was very hard. But when I was young my mom went back to work and kind of left me to my own devices so I was adamant about being with my kids and not putting them in daycare, a decision I am still happy with.
The problem is that I am just constantly being like tethered and leashed to the house, to them, to my husbands work schedule etc. we moved back near family to have some help which has been good but I still feel like I am just constantly trying to have more time to myself and the more I try the less I succeed. Then my husbands friend came to town and he’s like I’m going to the game with him and we’re going to leave at 4 and I just absolutely lost it. I just feel so angry that he can up and go yet I am here like micromanaging every second of every day trying to squeeze in a workout or a cup of coffee and he can just leave. And he really doesn’t do this often but I can never do it and that’s why it bothers me. We went to a concert last week and we didn’t leave until 630 because we were getting the kids down and I didn’t want my mom to have to deal with my 2 year old crying because we haven’t left her often and then we got to the venue late I had to literally eat a salad in five mins. And the week before that I did visit my friends but again I had to wait until 8 o’clock because I needed to get my kids down. Yet he’s just like planning this nice night out with his friend and I am getting rushed through dinner . I just feel like he has all this freedom, all this adult stuff and I am just in the background, on the sidelines. And I’m so sad that I feel this way because I really love them so much and I truly don’t mind being a stay at home mom, I honestly love spending time with my kids and my husband , I just feel like I can’t balance it and I can never make it all work. Then I just feel like a bad wife and a bad mom who’s resentful of everything which is also not who I want to be.
I guess I am just wondering if I’m wrong or if this is normal to feel like this. I get the impression that my husband is simultaneously annoyed and sad by me feeling this way.

Good Morning, this is my first time posting on Reddit and I ain’t necessarily sure how to use it so I’ll cut to the chase, I’m in the NOCO (Colorado) area and I am trying to find another Job. I’ve got the feeling layoffs are coming this winter and want to be prepared for when it happens. I’ve got about ten years experience in all sorts of blue collar jobs from residential and commercial electrical, Heavy equipment operations, CAT Bulldozer (D9’s) Rumble Rollers, Skid steer’s, CAT 349 FL’s (excavators) Forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts etc. I’ve got experience in the residential and commercial painting industry, sand blasting, powder Coating, paint spraying with HVLP, Conventional Pot painting, Airless and rattled. I’ve got experience Cutting and hanging Drywall, Mudding and taping as well as texturing, Knock down, Popcorn and orange peel. But the one issue I’m running into is I can’t seem to find anyone that’s willing to hire me. I’ve got enough work experience to be able to thrive just about anywhere in the blue collar field, yet none of these folk want to hire. I’m not sure if I am doing something wrong? I had a GTC order placed on May 7th to sell Rivian at $12 - And wouldn't you know it... Rivian went over $12 this morning after weeks of lows... but my order didn't go through... and was, in fact, just not there anymore and Webull's site said the order had been cancelled.
Had to call Webull to find out WTF happened, as the order was still there yesterday afternoon when I logged out...
Somehow at 7:13am (eastern) this morning... that order was cancelled because "one of Webull's Liquidity Providers" had an issue that closed a lot of open orders... inlcuding mine...
This is bullshit.... I didn't miss out on a lot of money, but it's just stupid...
The good news is I can "place the order again and it shouldn't get cancelled this time..." /s

59 Year Old, Male, 275 lbs, 5'11"

1. 2018 Summer - Experienced an injury to my scalp that did not heal quickly.
2. 2018 Fall - Itching dandruff spot on head appear in same area, similar to what I was experiencing on my chins since 2008.
3. 2019 Fall - The problem covered all of my scalp. A California Dermatologist (SD) me with Seborrheic Dermatitis and gave me steroid cremes, these made my skin thin. Now looked like serious burn. Leg and Head. SD starting to affect me psychologically and professionally.
4. COVID - Visited 2nd dermatologist in Maryland and they gave me liquid Betmethazone Dipropionate. Lotion. Was a liquid in a super small bottle. Got some relief but would run out in less than two weeks. Had to apply multiple times per day and still was terrible shedding. Using this was not sustainable.
5. 2023 Fall - September: Saw third dermatologist asking for anti-fungal medication. I had heard that Malassezia yeast was a trigger. The Dr. refused and I did not want to use immune suppressant he recommended and prescribed. I figured I need my immune system and looked for the trigger. Also suffer from joint pain, stiffness, lethargy, etc. etc. Suspect I may have general arthritis and getting old very quick.
6. December 2023 - Very depressed and frustrated with SD. I was told if I shaved my head this might resolve the problem. Cutting my hair very close to scalp, #0 ManScaping, did not resolve the problem... If I shaved I would have cut into my skin. However, I was better able to debris the dry skin and apply medicine. I began trimming hair to #0 every other day.
7. January 2024 - Thinking the problem was still a fungal trigger I purchased two products from Amazon: Pet Honesty Chlorhexidine Cat & Dog Anti-Itch Shampoo. It contains, 2% Chlorhexidine and 1% Ketoconazole. After washing my skin, I also used Alpha Paw - Antibacterial & Antifungal Wipes. The higher concentrations of medicine is important. Health insurance did not pay. I used these over the counter items in isolation, no oils or lotion. I would cover my head with a beanie and leave my leg open to the air. I did this after shower before bed and upon rising each morning. For the first time in 4 years I began to see some relief. I was able to reduce the amount of irritation and large areas of swelling and scaling reduced. This occurred almost immediately. Yes, using this product burns somewhat but is bearable as compared to chronic itching.
8. March 2024 - Area on my leg is getting back to normal on the edges and my scalp is now only dandruff, not huge flakes. No more open sores on head, and sores on legs reducing.
9. May 2024 - I decided to take on the issue of inflammation in my entire body head on. I started fasting. I drank only 2 liters of Emergen-C per day, iced coffee with cream for a period one week. I went on a daily hour long walk and normal routine. By day 5 of my fast the change to the SD was pretty incredible. The skin swelling on my head is greatly reduced and the dandruff is minimal as compared to weeks prior. Joint pain is gone, feel much better. I broke my fast on Day 7 with a salad and hard boiled eggs.
10. Going Forward: I will be continuing to cut hair, apply anti-fungal and fast several day on and off until I reach desired weight and skin clear completely. Currently 240 lbs, goal of 180 lbs. I am currently consulting a fasting expert and adjusting accordingly. Goal is to stay in ketosis as much as possible. Repair biome with probiotics and continue to treat skin to ward off overgrowth yeast or fungus. I am moving back west and will be doing Hot Yoga in AZ. I plan to diet, sweat, and get this cleared up for good. I will post more in a few weeks.

Hi, wanted to do another post, specially from a personal experience, to end up with a question for all of you beautiful and handsome people.
I've always been emotionally numb, it's really hard for me to express my feelings, and even more to show them in public. Since I've been experimenting with things that I wouldn't let myself do, and told my girlfriend I might be trans(she has been super supportive, I'm transfem btw), I've been sentimental about things, and so far I've liked it. So recently I came up with my new name, which I told her, and yesterday In the night she told me good night using that chosen name. And my heart rate skyrocketed so fast, and just couldn't help myself but smile. That's something that had not happend before in that magnitude, and so I this morning the thought has been in my head. Was that gender euphoria?

My fiance had pain in swelling in his calf back a month and a half ago. The doctor sent him to the ER for an ultrasound , which cleared him. They said it was a pulled muscle.
The pain never fully went away, and instead moved up towards more high groin/thigh area, still swelling. Finally I decided to take him back to the ER. The ER doctor looked at me and said “Good thing we already ruled out a clot. It’s probably still a pulled muscle.”
I really had to advocate. It’s hilarious because the documentation literally states she thought it was a pulled muscle, but “significant other was pushing for second opinion”. I advised her he doesn’t DO anything to pull a muscle.
ER doctor told us no one was on staff to do an ultrasound that day OR labs, but we could come back and do it outpatient the next morning. I said… “great! We’ll be here.” She also gave him a physical therapy referral.
Low and behind, on his way home from the ultrasound, they called and said it was DVT & they said they were calling in Eloquis. I called back & said “Do you not want to do labs? Give him any Lovenox? A chest xray?” They said “His labs will be the same as the ones they did last night.” I said…” THEY DIDNT DO ANY!”
So I took him to our local ER, the ones who initially said there was no clot over a month ago & had them run labs & give him medication.
I am livid. If I hadn’t pushed for this he’d be sitting around just waiting on a PE. Thank god for my medical background.
