2024.05.14 22:56 Quickafboy My account got permanently banned for "cheating" and I don't know why

My only league of legends account has been falsely banned for cheating and Riot refuses to help me understand what got me banned.
I started playing League of Legends in 2021 and have never made a smurf or bought another account. I have never received any other punishments and had a high honor level. I had almost 500 ranked games played this season and climbed up to mid diamond by learning how to play Nunu and getting coaching from various players.
I have not ever cheated, nor do I have anything on my PC that could possibly modify my game files in the exception of Porofessor. I am going to need to level up a new account, but I am scared that it will be pointless and that I will get banned again since their support refuses to tell me what triggered their anti-cheat.

The 0 transparency, communication to any anti-cheat specialist, lack of support or guidance for me to be able to continue playing the game is crazy for such a giant in the gaming atmosphere. I refuse to believe these are not all copy paste mostly bot responses, and even more that anyone reviewed a single game of mine.

2024.05.14 19:55 Klutzy_Passage_1713 Last straw for me, I didn't even care about Vanguard at first

Many issues since Vanguard I may just uninstall
Since Vanguard the game is unplayable for me. Half of the time I get a "Vanguard error message" at the end of games, meaning I need to close the client and re-open it.
Other half, the game will kick me out during the loading screen, telling me Vanguard is required to run while playing the game (currently sitting in a 5min low prio queue because of it).
And the 3rd half, the game believes my audio driver on my Asus laptop is some sort of cheat engine and asks me to disable it (can't even launch the game on my laptop, the other 2 errors are from my actual pc).
On top of massive fps drops ever since the patch dropped (might or might not be related, my pc is barely a year old and drops down to 30fps in teamfights...)
This might be the last straw for me, I didn't really care about Vanguard before, but right now I'm about to uninstall, I can't even play the game the majority of the time

On ps4/ps5 spread between 334 hours I've seen nothing. I just learned you can have infinite Tina bombs but what other glitches are console players using to cheat i'd assume on pc aimbot is more frequent, I think the only glitch I've come across is seeing through walls after a rev.

Sup.So i played this game a couple of times without any issues but since they remake the anti cheat thing every time i launch the game , the game is breaking my internet connection and i cannot connect back until i restart the computer.This is happening only when i launch the game , i have no problems with other games , apps etc.I use internet cable not wifi and i have a good internet connection with good ping. When i launch the game and the game is disconnecting me from the internet i tried to connect back but it said '' specified port already open '' Basically it tells me that im already connected even tho im not , and i searched this problem on google and i found out the reason its saying that its because its locking itself from connecting back unless i restart the pc.I did alot of tests with everything , there is no problem with my computer or the internet connection i have , it's the game 100% i don't know what makes it do that but it's breaking my connection for some reason.If someone knows that would be amazing since i can't play the game anymore and now i basically paid for nothing.Thanks.

2024.05.14 10:41 No-Usual-3078 Feeling lost: My Ex Seems Like a Different Person After Our Recent Call

Almost 3 weeks ago I (23F) broke up with my bf (22M) of 3 years. Let's call him Jameson. Not because I didn't love him anymore, but because the situation was unbearable. He was super depressed and anxious, he lied, manipulated, got angry, everything was always difficult. I felt alone in the relationship and the trust was gone especially when I found out he financially cheated. I know he is not a bad person, but his behaviour did really hurt me.
Some important back ground info: After the first year together we wanted to study together because we didn't want to be long distance anymore. I said I would break up otherwise. I got in but Jameson didn't. The period after I felt pretty alone and heartbroken, he didn't seem to care as much, I was trying to fix it all on my own. He said he was trying back then but I don't know what he did to "try". I ended up emotionally cheating for 1 week because I really needed some compagnionship and laughter. After that we were never the same ever again. This happened 1,5 years ago. In the year after I really had to constantly prove myself and I really improved as a gf, but not to the point I want to be at yet.
The year after Jameson didn't get in again, but he moved to my parents house to start a study there. So he was still closer to me than if he would've stayed in his home country. Most of plan A and B were my idea and I had to really push him to apply, but he was also not coming up with alternatives himself or communicating his feelings. This is important because now he can easily blame me.
We were now finally closer together and he didn't seem that enthusiastic. Jameson barely went to school, do sport or social activities, he only started to work in january and used gaming as a coping mechanism. He neglected the relationship and himself. So after a long period of this I decided to end things. My psychologist said I was enabling his depression and I didn't want to do that. So I told him to go back to his home country. Before his departure and now even more he has been even more cold and distant.
We did end things with we love eachother a lot but it's not working like this. I asked for a week of space and to call after. Overall I have felt relieve because all the sudden my life was so much easier, but I have really missed the good parts of the relationship and the friendship we also had.
We finally called yesterday after 1,5 weeks of space and it didn't go as I hope it would. Jameson said he wanted to give me this call because I didn't get closure from my previous boyfriend. But he was cold and distant and not very interested in me. He also didn't want to discuss the relationship or certain things that happened. Especially with how friendly things were when he left I thought we would at least be friends after a while. I also wanted to keep the door slightly open for the future in case we both improved and still had a connection. Because we have a lot in common and want the same things in life so I thought maybe then we can make it work.
But Jameson was talking about a closed door and he wasn't to keen to keep in touch or be friends anymore. I wasnt planning on getting back together, but I didn't expect my sweet Jameson to go 180 on me like this. He said he fell out of love with me when I emotionally cheated and has love me less and less over time. Even though I did everything for him and was improving he didn't want to forgive, or didn't know how to. But he also didn't leave himself or planned on breaking up himself. I really thought sending him away and stop enabling his depression would finally make him want to be the boyfriend I needed. When I think about how we were and when I look at pictures he definitely still cared for me and was obsessed with me physically.
I feel really weird after the call, I don't believe he is fully speaking the truth about his feelings for me. But his attitude is so cold, he dyed his hair, all the sudden he is having a social life again, willing to sell his pc, almost like the Jameson I knew doesn't exist anymore. We said we could keep in touch like once a week but I'm thinking of leaving that ball in his court right now because of his lack of enthusiasm.
Has anyone ever had a similar situation? Tips or some compassion are also very welcome!
TLDR: I broke up with my bf because I was enabling his depression, but hoped for a friendship and keeping the door open for the future, he went full 180 and seems completely fine now without me and is keeping his distance.

It all started on 7th of May when one of the discord servers I was in got hacked, then I noticed i was added in multiple 18+ discord servers and somehow someone changed my discord profile name and profile photo. Then, I left all those servers(including the one that I think got hacked) and everything seemed fine. After a couple of minutes people that I dont have in my contacts started calling me asking for dr*gs saying I gave my number on a telegram group( I have to mention im only in football groups to watch live goals and clips) but those people who called me were from the same country as I am so I’m not sure if it has anything to do with that discord server. The next day and for the rest of the week no one called me. On sunday night I used my pc to do a history project and the next day someone tried hacking into all of my accounts and he managed to change some of my passwords but I got all my accounts back except my tik tok account(because he changed the email and the phone number in the app so I cant log in using my personal email and phone number). I found out he was doing this from a S22 Ultra and I saw his location(he was at my friend’s school; so I suppose my friend is involved in this too). He also sent me an email saying that my family is in danger if I dont send him 100 dollars. The emails name which he sent this message to me is “pavlonozbuisness@gmail.com”. I searched pavlonoz on google and I found him on unknown cheats(from this site my friend sent me a gta hack saying its safe but windows defender spotted it as a trojan;I deleted all the folders that had to do with the hack and the notifs from windows defender stopped ) and I also found this guy on reddit(he is in Romania comunity(which means he is romanian as me) and in S22ultra comunity(his phone).In the same day people from the telegram group started to call me again and one of them sent me a photo of the guy that put my name on the telegram group. I wasnt able to contact him on telegram as i needed his phone number. And now he stopped since my parents called my friend’s parents so I suppose my friend and pavlonoz are in the same school or class. I changed my passwords to all of my accounts but im still scared he can still log in into them. Anyways today Im going to the police maybe they can track him down. Now the only account I cant get back is my tik tok account(i explained upper why) so if there is any solution of getting it back please help me. So, recently, I bought DS2 on PC since it was on sale. I’ve played DS2 on the xbox before and so I kinda know what to expect. I went and installed Blue Acolyte, went through the game and got a nice backup save file so I don’t have to worry about the SM crap. With that, i’ve been going really hard on invading people.
Dear Lord. The people I invade. I swear that 1 out of every 10 invasions is somebody hacking with infinite HP/Stam, I get people who are just the most unoriginal builds via lion mage hexer with an ice rapier, or a havel with a red iron twinblade. Thats even if I do get somebody who will even engage in a fight at all, half the time they’ll just alt+F4, kill themselves, or because of the jank invasion spawnpoints I won’t even get close to the host before they just hit a boss fogwall. Not the mention the lag or ping from the host acting like they’re from planet Mars.
Not to say I haven’t been having fun with DS2, I still believe it has by far the most balanced PvP out of the entire Souls games. Just wanted to vent some frustration lol. Credit to Blue Acolyte for being an awesome anti-cheat mod!

2024.05.14 05:22 T_Soro This game would be so much better without cross play.

Just started really playing a few months go. Already in the top 7% of all-time K/D ratio and I have to say, being constantly killed by almost exclusively M&K players is almost at the point of ruining this game for me.
No matter what you do, a controller is just no match for the frame rate, aiming speed / reaction time and additional hot keys for quick switching (and you can F.R.O. With any auto aim arguments). Add to that, that like 99% of all cheats / hacks, happens exclusively through PC players (not even going to get into how much of an absolute loser you have to be to cheat at video games and it seems like there are tons of you out there) and there is zero upside to doing cross play.
Other than blocking anyone who’s clearly M&K or hacking is there any other way to get around these PC players?

I've noticed a particular type of logical fallacy a lot around the internet that I don't think has a proper name. Before I start I want to give credit to this tweet that articulates a very similar (arguably the same) idea in a different way.
The basic idea is as follows: Thing A is important morally, but hard to detect. Thing B is unimportant morally (on its own), but easy to detect, and happens to be a decent proxy for Thing A. Sometimes it's useful to look at B to make approximations about A, especially if A is unknown. The fallacy occurs when people focus so hard on B that they ignore the underlying A entirely, which leads to some bad conclusions. I'll list a couple examples that should be familiar to you all.
Bigots don't usually say "I'm a bigot" out loud, but they tend to talk differently and use different words when conveying their ideas. Progressives correctly identify these dogwhistles and go on the lookout for them. Eventually, people are so focused on the dogwhistles that well meaning people may get labeled a bigot just because they didn't use the most PC term (see euphemism treadmill). On the flipside, you can convey some insanely bigoted ideas as long as you couch it in progressive sounding language (see "progressives" opposed to interracial relationships).
Most monogamous people don't want a partner that cheats on them. Having a high propensity towards casual sex is a proxy for cheating, and having a lot of sexual partners is a proxy for casual sex propensity. Now, even if a partner shows no signs of infidelity, people are still turned off by the high body count (even though we're two proxies deep). See also the Redpill dipshits who avoid high body counts out of "fear of STDs" but don't even bother using protection/getting tested.
I propose calling this fallacy "Proxy Wars", it has a nice ring to it. Anyways, just to be clear, it's not always wrong to use proxies when making decisions like this (especially when missing crucial information), just remember what your actual underlying goals are.

I just got out of a Premier game and as I closed the window I noticed a text editor box saying something along the lines of "you have to use" and I assumed it wouldve said hacks. I performed very well suring the game and I dont use cheats. There was also what seemed like some kind of recording software open as well. I checked control panel for any new apps but all looked normal. Ran an antivirus scan and my pc came back clean.
Anyone have any advice on what to do next?
