When I play PvP in this game, I feel like that guy from CoD. You know, "how is it when I flash someone". That guy. I'll launch a whole salvo hitting them just about everywhere for laughable damage. But when they return fire I either die from a catastrophic hit or lose half my life from hits on my citadel. I love the extra xp, credits, and stuff. I would love to keep playing in PvP. But dying almost instantly isn't fun. How do I do better damage and prevent further damage being dealt to me?

I was watching the anime 16bit Sensation: Another Layer and I was shocked to find AI art being apart of the plot. Let's see what they had to say.
The anime is about a nightmare scenario where the main character travels back to the 90's and changes history so that most games/anime get produced in the US instead of Japan. As a result, cute moe moe girls are nowhere to be found, and most game development is done almost entirely using AI.

She does travel back in time and rewrite the events back into a happy timeline. Spoiler alert.

I think this is a topic we should continuously bring up and discuss because I believe creating a base or home is such an important part of Fallout. After a long day of fighting off the monsters and horrors of Appalachia, we sometimes just want to come home to our homey base and admire our creation and hard work. The more I build, the more I feel restricted on what I can do and have to really plan and sacrifice some creative designs to meet with the building limitations. With the evermore additions to things we can add to our base, base building really needs to be refined. I'll add what we had last post and what suggestions were made as well. I'll also add more of what I've noticed from my return to the game. Previous post for reference.

Disclaimer of Understanding

Listen, I understand there could be hardware limitations in regarding to number of items or models that can be loading and unloaded at any time for the servers though we need to find some middle ground. A way to optimize the base limits to allow for more creativity. I also understand there could be programming limitations though refactoring some the base building limits is a positive change and worth while, especially to continue improving on this game long term (if that's what is planned to be).

Base Building Limits Extended

Lets talk about some Quality of Life updates that would help our base building experience. I'll dive deeper into some of the points that need some extra points to it.

For the love of god, increase base building limits, since we cant have two camps at the same time..

A further increase to maximum storage is not what we're talking about ( while this is something that can be improved upon), we want to be able to build more around our base, the total base building limit is what needs to be increased. Wires should not be apart of the base building costs in my opinion, this would help alleviate some room in the limit. I'm also hoping that wallpaper and things inside the displays don't count towards it but I have not personally checked.
To add more to the strain of base limits, is it possible to put things on shelves? I feel like they're so bare, id like to have them display items like display cases do.. that would be an amazing change!
Speaking of display cases..

why hard limit displays? I'm a collector, let me show off my collectables :( .. increase or remove display limits.

Lets increase these AND do not have the items count towards base storage. It sucks so much to see my STASH storage so high and be like "oh, its all the stuff on display" .. AND in the vendor. Putting items in your vendor or on display should remove them from your STASH. This would help the currently implemented STASH limit and it would also be such an improvement to the build system.
I also believe the limits on display shouldn't be towards the category but towards the item. Wall Displays should be separate than the floor glass display or any floor display to be honest. Even if you didn't increase the total limit for building displays and just separated how many you can make of each (mind you don't decrease the amount to 5 each..), this would improve our base building quality of life.
To further talk about displays, sometimes I can't place wall mounted displays because that wall doesn't have support below, though I was still able to build the wall. If the wall exists, the wall mounted display should be able to go on it.

And how about an undo feature for the times you accidentally scrap a camp object.

This is self explanatory though this is me emphasizing that this is huge. Big feature needed. Just a general undo last change is such a big help.

STASH Quality of Life Updates

These points were mentioned before but I'm going to mention them again. I understand that Fallout 1st is a good way for you to make some money on the stash limits, so upgrading the already set 1200 storage limit is unlikely BUT there are things that count towards stash that should not be. Such as:

• Vendor Items. These should not count towards our stash limit, its in the vendor..
• Displays. The item or weapon is being displayed outside my stash, therefore should not count towards my stash. This should be the case for all displays including bobblehead displays, Nuka-cola displays and so forth. This would alleviate so much space for some people and allow there to be more room without needing to increase the hard limit on STASH space.

That's pretty much it on that front.

New Ideas

Scrapping.
Scrapping my building item (generator, wall, lights) and losing most of its materials is a little frustrating. If I built it, I should get my materials back though I understand that is what storing items is and that you want to continue to have a game loop for gathering materials. So, its not a huge thing if this isn't changed in some way. Maybe I'm upset because I scrapped a generator to build it after I change the floor and didn't have enough materials anymore to re-build the generator. lol.
Fast Travel Spawn Point
This is a really cool request. Give us the ability to choose where players spawn when they fast travel to my base? Have one custom spawn point that must be put on a foundation or floor. Reason I say this is because my base is on a cliff and sometimes people or even myself don't spawn in my base but on the side of the cliff and then I have to fast travel again. It'd be nice to just have them spawn in a location that is preset so that no one falls or gets stuck.
I can see players setting up traps and what not with this, though I think the benefit outweighs the negative. There are many free fast travel locations if you get stuck and you only drop junk on death so? Maybe I don't know of other negatives from dying but I feel like most people want to show off their homes and not setup prisons lmao.
Shelves as displays
I talked about this earlier though shelves feel empty and I feel like my kitchen shelving would look nice if I can store some ingredients on them. Make it look more full and lively. Otherwise idk what to do with them lmao. Doesn't need to be crazy, just like fill the front side of the shelving unit and have 3 or 4 items to be displayed on the shelf. Also if this is implemented, items on shelves should not go towards STASH limits.
Renaming Power Chassis
I get confused on which power chassis hold what or displays what. Its like 7 power chassis in my stash. It'd be nice to name them lol.
Mark as To Be Scrapped
It'd be nice to mark items as "To Be Scrapped" so you know what you want to scrap, or even sell. That way you don't scrap something by mistake.
Guest Book
I remember reading somewhere an idea of having a guest sign book so that people that visit could sign saying like "I was here' or maybe "yolo 420" lol but it could also be emotes, stickers, pre-generated phrasing that people could sign with like a date saying when they signed it. Would be cool. Even something that could be done on the personal terminal?.

Conclusion

Look, I get it, some of these features are big asks but overall the quality of life improvements to STASH limits by removing the items displayed and in the vendor would be such a good change and one that wouldn't require too much refactoring of the CAMP code base (I hope). A lot of what was mentioned is nice to have but some are like really important to the ecosystem of building your base. Display limit segregation, removing wires as counting towards base limit, fast travel spawn point, undo button are just some to name that would bring big changes to the base building feature in this game.

Ive tried many times in the past to shake this habit, nothing really stuck because I always made excuses saying that gaming was alright and i just had to do it in moderation or I let my friends pull me back there. But i cant keep living like this, i felt so hopeless last night so unable to control myself i was just playing games until the sunrise and, im tired and felt so ashamed because my inability to control myself to commit to my responsibilities and day to day commitments. I felt like giving up but i remembered this place and gave me a lot of hope that its not over but I want to be sure this time. I dont have much discipline and im impulsive, i was wondering if anyone with a similar experience in the past had any tricks to ensure they lay off the games for good.

Being an ex smoker, here in Canada cigarettes are $15+ a pack... I always have to pick them up and I loot every single cigarette machine. I must bulk and dump 300 asbestos a day.

Hey all! it’s my first post on this sub reddit. I had a few questions regarding my pc and if I should build a new one or just upgrade some parts. I originally built my pc when the 30 series dropped a number of years ago.
my current specs:
Motherboard: MSI B550- A Pro
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core
Gpu: MSI Gforce RTX 3060 TI
Ram: corsair vengeance rgb pro (2x8) 16gb
SSD: 1TB
Power supply: 800 or 850 watt power supply (don’t really feel like opening my case up right now my bad lol)
The cooling is subpar and the case doesn’t allow for much airflow. Recently i’ve gotten into games like star citizen, and have been running most of the games i play regularly at the max frame rate without much stuttering or frame drops (Destiny 2, R6, Forza, ect.) i still get solid performance on most games but the newer releases tend to get lower frame rates than i would like. I don’t know what would be more cost effective, getting parts to replace the ones getting bottlenecked/ the old ones. Or the other option being building a new pc with way more modern parts and basically building myself a dream supercomputer. I was planning to potentially sell my computer and using that on top of money i already have set aside for a build.
TLDR: Don’t know if i should upgrade my first build pc or sell and build a new one with modern parts.

disclaimer before I get to the actual post: I’m not self diagnosed (fully support self diagnosis tho) but my country doesn’t use the level system I’m 20F diagnosed at the age of 17. I know I’m pretty good at masking, people who don’t really know how autism usually presents in afab people can tell that there’s something a little off about me and treat me differently but I don’t think it’s enough to the level 2 point? I was completely unable to say even a word to strangers when I was a kid but ig it was just brushed off as being shy. At school I never really talked to anyone and really struggled to understand how the hell do I make friends. It just felt like everyone was in on some big secret to how to socialize and I had no idea what it was. I only started making some friends at the age of 14 when I found other neurodivergent and mentally ill people but even then I always felt like an outsider. I also don’t know if my support needs are level 1 or 2. As a kid and young teen I wasn’t able to keep up with school or daily tasks like cleaning, showering on brushing my teeth. I don’t know why, I just couldnt ever get myself to do it and I didn’t really have a parent to help me with that stuff. I’d spend the whole time playing video games that brought me comfort. Mind you I did live in a pretty abusive household so that also for sure impacted my ability to function. As soon as I turned 18 I dropped out of school and got a job. The dropped out part was a good decision but the job destroyed me mentally. After just the first week I was so overwhelmed and dysregulated I attempted and ended up in a hospital. I went back to work after 2 weeks tho and managed to keep working by abusing alcohol until 3 months later I was so exhausted I ODed again (not as badly tho) to have an excuse not to go to work. I quit the job right after that and was unable to function for the next 3 months after which I gave in to my parents, societal and financial pressure and got another job that I lasted 9 months in. It was a little easier as I made sure I worked only 2-3 shifts a week but eventually once again I slipped into alcohol and my brain and body just stopped functioning properly. My tourette’s also got worse to a point of it making it even harder for me to work as my wrists would lock in one position. It’s been 8 months since then and I’ve slowly realized that I am disabled and I will never be able to live alone. I wouldn’t be able to get groceries, clean, throw the trash out regularly, work enough to afford to live and just do any other adult thing. But then again I know level 2 requires more communication issues? I’m just very confused and bothered by the inability to fit myself into one or another label

In real life if you get low on health (aka seriously physically injured) you can't just act/walk/move the way you did before, you start limping, or can't even move at all, you're weak and slow
So tell me, why can we, and every other enemy/boss, act/move/attack and whatnot without a single issue, with only 1HP (or one hit a way from death) remaining?
If we or an enemy/boss gets to really low health/one hit away from death) we should act the part
Like we can't sprint anymore, or roll, our attacks are weak, slow, deal less damage, we limp if we try to walk, and the only way to back to our previous state is , well, the healing flasks, and the same goes for enemies/bosses
It's just weird seeing an enemy or boss walk, move or attack with such energy and might while they are one hit away from death, like after a long battle, they look like they are perfectly fine, and can still fight like they are full of energy and life, but the next hit just suddenly ends them
The only boss I can remember that kind of acted realistically at low health, would be The Wolf Sif from Dark Souls 1
I know that Elden Ring and any Souls Game isn't supposed to be realistic, but it is something that has been bothering me and I want to see other's opinions on this

Long story short I 26M found my gf’s spam twitter 25f, I have to admit first of all that it was a huge violation of her privacy and I know I was wrong. We talked about it and have moved past it. However it is over a year later and I still think about what I saw.
To start my gf is very supportive and a very good and attentive partner. She has been a huge inspiration to me as I pursue my career and strive to become a more self aware and emotionally developed individual. I love her dearly we have been together 2 years
During this time we had just moved together and its safe to say I had gotten complacent in the relationship. I was not planning and executing dates like i should and I wasn’t doing my part in house upkeep. (I have long sense improved these things, it was my first time in this situation and needed to get into the flow of things, I’m very loving but if im not mindful that will just manifest as me saying “I love you” 100 times a day and constant hugs. And thats not everyone’s love language ) I say this because this was during the time i checked her spam twitter, she was acting distant not returning any affection or engaging with me but hadn’t said why when I asked. When i checked the page she trash talked me almost everyday, most of it I can understand. But to this day certain things still hurt and cast doubt on this relationship for me. She said that she loves sex often but can’t even see herself being intimate with me because I didn’t do “anything strong, sweet, or expensive like its nothing.” She talked about things she would do if we broke up and how i sounded naive whenever we’d be drinking and I started talking about how much I loved her and will be with her forever. But what sticks with me the most is when she compared me to her ex and how she was so wildly attracted to him she wanted to have sex with him all the time and how I “have no game” and am a huge turn off to her. I took it on the chin because after we talked I saw all the ways I could improve and I got to it. I know I probably have no right to say this but it hurt because i felt like she was a safe space for me until that point. Fast forward a year and some change later I have improved my faults and we have no major issues at this time. However our sex life has gradually gotten worse to now we may only have sex a couple times a month. We have talked about it multiple times but its starting to feel like she is giving me the run around. I can’t help but think back to the tweet i saw where she belittled me in comparison to him and think about if i were him this wouldn’t be happening. She has made multiple small comments that indicate she compares us that could have easily gone over my head but didn’t. Once i confronted her about it but she denied and truthfully it could have been my insecurities getting to me but its also a good chance I caught something she didn’t want me to.
Now we rarely have sex, anytime I try to flirt with her its almost always dismissed and she rarely initiates. Honestly I could have made the compromise if it was an issue of mismatched libido because i genuinely love her and our relationship. But knowing it because she has some sort of aversion to me being myself and potentially sees me as less than her ex its like a bullet i can’t swallow. For some background he is a software engineer most likely making well into the 6 figure range and im a veteran who is currently in school to be a radiographer then mri technologist. I am a fairly skilled options trader and I work as a security officer while in school. My income is about 80-90k gross so im not financially struggling but obviously im not making engineer money. Not to sound arrogant at all but im a pretty handsome guy but I have a lot of emotional volatility, I can be difficult sometimes and she doesn’t deserve that when im a jackass because im having big emotions. I was diagnosed with ADHD a few years back so im really forgetful and it can be a struggle keeping a cool head when life does its thing. (Not an excuse in the slightest I always take full accountability for poor behavior) I confide in her a lot when I’m overwhelmed and I wonder if it has made me look weak. I’m not sure what course if action to take moving forward?

I recently finished my second playthrough of Origins since ~2010 and my first ever of DA2 (which, btw, exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Ok so, I'm dm-ing a campaign, and one of my players is playing a warlock. This is my first time in a game with a warlock altogether so I don't have any experience in regards to the class however I'm very excited. For specifics, the player has a great old one patron, that I made a custom patron for. Anyway I have this concept for some tasks that the patron will send the player on but I don't know what the patron can say/do to genuinely motivate the character. I know the player will go with it for the story's sake, but I want it to sort of make sense. Specifically my biggest idea is to have the patron send him after the warlock of a rival patron but I'm not sure what rewards/consequences I can offer, aside from just like, pulling magic items out of a hat, but that feels boring for this.

The main reason I started streaming is so I'd be able to play games again as it was so hard for me to so so otherwise. I don't have a job and have lived with my mom for the past 8 years, and while I'm trying my best (currently trying adhd meds), it's been rough. Don't get me wrong, though. My mood is relatively stable and I'm actually quite positive and optimistic, though my current meds are messing with my head a bit. I may need some pokes if I don't respond right away and patience would be super appreciated. I've grown so much as a person over the years and have learned a lot about myself and how to be comfortable with who I am and embrace it. So yeah, I totally understand if you don't wanna deal with my current situation and all that. I just wanted to be upfront about it so you know what you're getting into.
ANYWAYS!! I consider myself a chill, goofy, and caring person, and I genuinely love helping people and hope to make it my career someday and be something like a social worker or counselor. I just really enjoy making other people happy, ya know? I can also be relatively shy and awkward, but at the same time I have the energy and enthusiasm to make up for it. I like to consider myself an 'extroverted introvert' if you will. I also really try to be open with my emotions and approach things upfront, and loyalty is a HUGE thing for me. I am loyal to a fault and will stick by someone's side even if it's probably not good for me if I care about them enough.

This tweet I personally think is a call back to the value GME has, and possibly a reference as the price point is something he would purchase. GME was at it's LOWEST all time at $10 (roughly), and slowly rose to the $20 at time the tweet has been posted. Presplit: that is $40-80. (4 to 1 split) In a congress hearing, he says he would absolutely buy GME at $45 and that it's a steal.

That we went through an execution, but he is here to save us. Now what am I getting at? DFV clearly believes the stonk has strong belief the stonk has huge potential, and it seems like he's indicating he's a huge believer of the stonk, which should give us the same tenacity he has.

Post thought to hammer it in: The 2024 tweet seems to be a reference to the 2021 tweet, which was posted in 2021 of April 21st. April 21st was his final YOLO update and on his 2nd last update, April 1st, it was his final call that expired: April 21st. Perhaps that tweet can be intepreted of him CRUSING. But now that he's back, he's LOCKED IN. I believe this signifies he's possibly bought long term calls when the price was down $10-14, which is presplit $40-45. The same price range he told congress that'd he absolutely buy again. I think he bought long term calls on the cheap, and is potentially recreating his very first strategy: buying long term calls on the cheap and exercising them.

I have been playing a [[glissa, the traitor]] deck that I enjoy playing. I love artifacts, I love recursion, and I love playing black. My established playgroup does not enjoy it as much.
The gameplan for Glissa requires me to be removing a lot of pieces from my opponents board. This usually leads to mass removal spells, sacrifice stax pieces like [[grave pact]], and generally controlling the board. We have been having more open conversations about our decks and trying to build in a way that allows for all four of us to feel like our decks are at least accomplishing their intended goal most of the time. I have always been a more controlling player so this has been a tough change for me.
My future with this deck is one of three choices:
1) power it down. I believe this is not really an option because the commander leads to a play pattern that will still cause animosity. That could be rectified by
2) changing the commander. There are not many choices for a Golgari artifacts deck. I have considered shifting it into a mono black [[imotekh the stormlord]] deck. It would allow me to use the majority of my pieces, and I could have a more go-wide deck with less removal. I’m sure there are other options for it, but I haven’t looked very hard yet. My other choice is
3) lean into the archenemy. Terrorize the table. Give them someone to root against. It could allow for some neat games, but my deck isn’t much stronger than other decks, just more controlling. I would get wiped every game and I’m sure it wouldn’t be fun.
This is what I am faced with, and I’m looking for advice outside of my table, whether it be commander suggestions or navigating this issue.
