First some info
Hey all, first to clarify a few things. This is an advertisement for 4 players needed for a long-term, homebrew campaign starting at level 6. If you are looking for a purely RAW dnd setting with RAW mechanics and gameplay, this likely isn't something for you. And that's okay. This campaign will be taking place weekly on Monday evenings, AUSTRALIA TIME. If you apply for this campaign, I am going to assume that you will be able to consistently make this schedule. Please familiarise yourself with this as if you are in the USA, it will be early hrs of the morning for you most likely (approximately 2-3am start for those on the East Coast).
I am an experienced GM and I expect a certain commitment from my players. This being a mutual understanding that the more passion we put into the games, the more fun and fulfilment that we will get from them. As a DM, my style is a roleplay and exploration focused game. With the potential for long stretches of combat sessions when narratively appropriate. I run a number of homebrew rules that I believe fit my style of game better. This campaign is in a unique position of exploration over all else. You will need to build characters who have a sense of self as well as a desire to explore. While it is NOT essential or required, taking notes is encouraged given I do like the old lore dump from time to time.
Lastly for the info. Please do not feel intimidated if you are a new player to dnd, wanting your first game. Maybe you are someone who has played Baldur's Gate III and want a shot at the TTRPG version. All are welcome. Please do not apply though if you are under the age of 18, nothing personal, however its not the vibe or themes I'm going for. This campaign will use Discord and Roll20. I'm happy to teach roll20 use, its fairly straight forward to those who haven't used it.

Now that stuff is out of the way! Lets have a chat about the kind of story you will be signing your Monday's away to for the indefinite future.
For longer than even Elvish recorded history, around the equator of the world, have been a set of impassable leylines. For millennia, ships, airships and any who attempt the treacherous crossing of this equatorial barrier into the South has never been heard from again. All forms of divination and teleportation magic has proved futile at providing witness to the other side of the great divider. Until 5 years ago. 5 years prior to the event of the campaign, the 3 largest nations to the North developed a device called "The Arcane Anomaly Pacifier," (TAAP). Which is a ring of three large towers that every 6 months, can stabilise the leylines in a small enough area over the ocean to provide safe passage for a fleet of ships. The first of these crossings was named "The Exodus."
Since then, 9 other crossings have been made into the new lands. You, the party find yourselves on the 10th crossing. Leaving from whatever life you had before, into new prospects of employment. Were you running? Hiding maybe? Or even someone down on their luck in search of new horizons! You have accepted the job of Expedition Security for an eccentric Gnomish scientist named "Odana Gerrul." She believes that there is more to this southern wasteland than meets the eye.
Rumours of an artifact with the power to control the flow of magic run rampant within the new colonies as ruins of who came before are starting to be uncovered. Will your party be the ones to unlock the secrets of the new world? Or will the mystery swallow you up whole?

Hey all.
So basically one of, if not the closest friend I ever had died of a sudden brain aneurysm about 10 years ago. We were in our early twenties, and healthy people.
This certainly had long reaching and permanent effects on my mental health, and how close I get to people. Even went as far as putting distance between other people I was close with in my life at the time.
I loved this girl platonically more than I think I've romantically loved any girl in my life to date.
It sucked like hell for a long time, but I did come to terms with it eventually, even if I still think of her regularly.
But within the last week, almost every night I've been have countless dream about her. I remember 3, 4, 5 of them every morning. They're nothing crazy, honestly pretty boring dreams. Just hanging out, driving around, getting food, watching movies.
But she is definitely the focus. Don't get me wrong, they're good dreams, and I'm happy in them. But it is physically exhausting. I'm restless and having some.. overcorrecting emotions in the first couple hours of the morning. Some of that depression from the weeks and months after she passed start bubbling up.
I don't know if it means anything. I don't really buy into all of that, but I just needed to get it out somewhere.

I was dating a girl in 2022, it was actually a love shit, the relationship didnt work and we broke up. I was depressed for a few months, right after everything ended i met another girl, She gave me my life back, i was feeling better i gave her alot of attention and love. And then through a friend i found out she started liking me. I got confused whether to date her or not cuz i didnt move on completely i was trying to forget the first girl i dated but i couldnt and at the same time i also had the chance to date the second girl i met. So just to preface, I'm 20(M) and they are 22. We met a year ago and it was long distance like an hour and so we relied on public transport to meet one another. The first few months felt like a fairytale lol everything was amazing and great and perfect and all the good adjectives etc (honeymoon phase or whatever). At about 6 to 8 months in it started to become very argumentative and we were really starting to show who we were and it was fine but very difficult too. We had broken up multiple times and gotten back together the same day or either a day later. Once that period ended we still bickered like any couple would but it was much more calm and peaceful than before. I was starting to becone unhappy during these last few months, I really felt almost trapped and like I didn't belong with them anymore. I felt like I was trying to force myself to love them and I hoped and wished that this was just something I'd get over it and I was having a bad day, week or month or something - I wasn't. This became really dull and sad and I'd refuse things that were loving and caring from them. The whole time this was happening I was grieving the relationship while I was in it. I knew it was gonna end and it was eating me alive. I sat with it for a while and yes, I know, that's not fair to them either. However I really really tried my best and didn't want to end it. Fast forward to 6 days ago. I ended it while we were eating and having a few drinks. It was a really lovely time and experience actually. I was quite happy but I knew it would be short lived, the whole thing was just marinating in my mind the whole time anyways. Preparing what to say, how exactly to say, when to say it etc. I did and it worked out very well. They said they expected it because I became distant and we were on a mutual agreement to become friends and still stick around in eachother's lives. No hard feelings whatsoever. I was really upset saying all this and didn't wanna cry in public in front of everyone. I got the bus home and felt okay. Next few days come by and I'm just devastated, everything feels so much worse and I can't help but feel like maybe it didn't have to be that way - but how else could it have went? It wasn't fair on them or I. It had to end. I just can't understand why I wanted it to end so bad and now that it's really and truly gone, I'm shattered and miss it so much. I thought this would be like a weight off my shoulder but I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact that I'm not gonna see them, ever again. Like I said, we said we'd be friends. I'm really interested in computers, especially older ones and likewise with games. Due to the recent hype, I've been giving Fallout 3 a go recently (not that I've gotten very far!). And I'll watch streams on almost any game, and typically get sucked into watching! I love cars, 90s JDM are my absolute favourite, though I've taken a liking to 80s sports cars of late too! Really not much of a sports fan, however hockey has somewhat taken over my life over the past 5-6 months.. Oilers supporter, but like to keep up to date with the other series in the playoffs.

Idk how to feel.
We've been friends for 4 years. We've had 2 major fallouts (both lasting 2-3 months), one because of an argument, and another one cuz we dated for ~2 months, then broke up (and they needed a break, understandably.)
We decided to be friends and try to make it work despite us breaking up, cuz we value each other— up until they had a crush. (Them and the crush knew each other for ~3 years)
The person and my friend started dating, and made a "no contact with exes" rule, and the friend basically just dropped me a day ago. I got triggered and just told them to block me and leave.
I've expected this, that they'd leave, but I didn't think it'd happen in such a quick and petty way :/
We were close, I don't get why a romantic relationship (not even a full relationship, just trying it out) Is more important than our friendship. Having to choose is silly, you could have both.

I have been Playing on my Steam account for over 2/3 years and spent countless of hours on it. 2 months ago someone tried to hack my account they managed to get my password via e-mail. I contacted support and Got the account back after 2 days. 1 month later while i am in the middle of the game i get kicked out and logged off from Steam? Apparently they banned me for breaking the rules regarding it was not my account. I have been trying to contact support for over 1-2 months with proof of first e-mail, recovery code, proof of first purchase and everything they have asked for. Yet all i get is that the case is closed, and further messages wont be replied. I had skins such as butterlfy ruby and other expensive skins which i basicly used all my money on. I have worked for Tesco now for 4 years ( I worked for 3 years then left then I came back and have been back since Nov)
I found out I was pregnant back in September and because of leaving the company I don’t qualify for maternity pay which I understand but I also understand that I am entitled to 12 months off that’s what I was told anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️
My manager was really funny about me leaving for my maternity, I was working 6 days a week (3 as team leader and 3 as a CA) I got to 36 weeks pregnant and the hospital and midwives recommended I have the last 2 weeks off work because I knew I was getting induced at 38 weeks. My manager wasn’t very happy with this and she kept changing my maternity leave date. When I finally received my SMP1 form I noticed my maternity leave date was the same date I gave birth 21/04. I told them both I am more traditional and I will only do labels if the guy is prepared to marry me. 30M have been courting me for one year he is from Europe and he visited twice in my country with lavish getaways that made me feel like a princess, he is really honest and he is a hard-worker and career-focused. He would have 12 hour shifts and still manages to call me in his only lunch break. He values indepence while I value a partnership. He proposed to me I didn't say yes yet I told him I need time to think about it since he is against having children while I am 50/50. He was my bestfriend and he is caring when told what to do but never initiates gifts and plans. He provides for me now (with ticket costs and some postmates) but he doesn't like the idea of it in the future and he expects me to help out financially even if it is a small amount. He says that it doesn't matter if I earn less than him as long as I try. (I am college grad for 5 years already and from a top university so I don't mind working and I have a ton of savings with no debt but I am not used to setups like this where the woman is expected to pitch in in our culture the woman is the homemaker and tends to the house. He's never talked to Ascari, he's only talked to the teammates he shares his ride with. Yuri has no friends in the academy, constantly fearing the day he is let go of. Yuri is a reserved kid, scouted for his talent, He enjoyed playing football back in Sabadell, which he has not experienced here in Barcelona. Yuri recalls his last conversation with Fukuda, who advised him to "communicate with the ball", just like he did with his father. Fukuda walks off on crutches with Hana by his side, wishing him the best.
Yuri passes the ball into a wide open space for Ascari, hoping Ascari understands his message, to attract the defender away. Ascari understands him, back-heeling the ball into the space he created for Yuri. Yuri gets to it, laying it off for Leonard, who finishes in the opposing net. Next day, Yuri waits for his taxi, happy he survived another day. The taxi pulls up in-front of him, greeting his teammate Leonard. Yuri notices Mauro is missing from the taxi, learning he'd been dropped. Yuri understood then and there, if it wasn't you that was dropped, it could be the person right next to you.

I've come across faraday.dev being recommended by users several times. It's quite similar to Crushon, following a role-playing format. It offers a wide range of characters to suit any taste, whether it's NSFW or SFW, movie heroes, or realistic ordinary people. You can easily find what you need with the help of tags for searching. Each character comes with a personality description, and you can even view the model's settings.
Of course, you can create your own character and choose from 3 different language models. You can either create a character with basic limited settings or use advanced parameters. Unfortunately, there's no photo generation feature. While the language model may be good, during my testing of different characters, I consistently received messages that made no sense, with mixed languages and unnecessary symbols. However, clicking on the alternative response generation often resulted in a normal, and sometimes even very interesting response on the second attempt. Sometimes, I had to generate 4 or more responses to get a clear message. I believe this is just a temporary bug that they'll fix. For now, I don't feel like communicating with this AI, but I'll give this product another try next month.

i’ve manifested pretty much everything i have wanted - i’ve been to both of the best schools in my country, have an amazing group of friends (so amazing that sometimes i cry just thinking about how happy 16 year old me would be knowing this), do not struggle for money, and i really like the way i look and dress. apart from one thing - i’ve never been in a proper relationship. this is literally all that i feel is missing from my life.
no matter how much i manifest, it just doesn’t seem to happen for me. i spent 3 years genuinely believing that it would happen one day, not worrying about it, and suddenly im 22 and nothing has happened.
im having doubts right now, because i asked out my SP - he’s a good friend, and i really thought he had been flirting with me for months, as did my other friends. i asked him out because i felt we kept missing what would be ‘our moment’ where something would happen naturally, and i know he’s a pretty shy guy himself. also, because we graduate in a couple of months, so i felt that time was running out. he initially said yes, but called me a few days ago to say that he’s thought about it and changed his mind, he doesn’t want to ruin the friendship - and he seemed genuinely surprised when i said i thought he’d been flirting with me, and said he didn’t mean to give those signs.

So I’ve been with my bf for about 4 months. We met through a mutual friend last year. Last Sunday I went to his place after work but it happened earlier than we planned due to some shift issues. He was voice chatting with his friend as they were playing a video game. I’m absolutely perfectly happy to see my bf having fun with his friends, it’s his personal life and I love that he’s having fun. Couple of days later he told me something was dawning on him and he wanted me to know. He said that this friend (a girl) has been his only friend for years which again I’m perfectly happy with. However he mentioned that their friendship is peculiar as at some point in the past 3 years they slept together regularly. He said that it lasted for over a year and, to add, they had no feelings for each other. They still connect as very very close friends. He said that he wanted to be straightforward and fair and not lie to me even by omission. He apologised and said he didn’t mean to hide it, he just thought about it now. He’s telling me to think if I have a problem with it.
I appreciate that he was honest unprompted, it gives me the impression that he cares about me. To my own surprise, I feel like I’m okay with it. I have a background in mathematics and computer science.
I’ve built a receipt text extraction API. A friend of mine is helping me and has committed to be my first customer when I release it (he’s not happy with accuracy and cost of current provider).
It’s 1/3 of the price of current offerings (at $5K per month for a few million receipts). It’s roughly comparable to / slightly better in accuracy of transcription.
It’s at a point where it’s close to being ready to release. This week I will be doing proper benchmarks running my system against the competitors on thousands of receipts to benchmark accuracy in a statistically robust way.
Within the next few weeks, before I release, I want to start selling to more customers or at least have a clear plan for how I will get customers #2, #3 and #4.
What would your sales plan be?
I’m currently thinking about cold emailing the 1000 or so customers of current providers. Is this a good idea? What would you put in this?
What kind of sales cycle should I expect for this kind of software?

I completed an apprenticeship last year at very large banking corporation at their London office.I was really surprised but happy to get this role as I had been unable to work for years after high-school due to really bad mental health, getting a role with a salary and working an average work week along with getting a qualification was something I never thought I'd be capable of doing. The main reason I went for this was that it gave me experience and a chance to progress after the apprenticeship, I met older apprentices at the company who said they got a decent salary bump and promotion after they finished their course, so the prospects were looking good and I could finally be an adult. I did finish my apprenticeship but there was some faff about getting me a full time role as the company is going through a big reorganisation and not hiring big at the moment, they ended up extending my apprenticeship contract for a few more months until HR got their stuff together to send me the permanent contract. When I finally got the contract, I saw they had given me a "massive" £800 pay rise and bumped up 2 job levels, this didn't seem right so I messaged another apprentice to see if he got similar but turns out the himself and the other 2 apprentices that stayed all got bumped up 8 job levels along with a £15k + payrise. I was so disappointed and internal movement at the company isn't possible right now, and probably wouldn't be for my team as we are so isolated from the rest of the company both in terms of the floor my office is on and us having little contact with other departments. I started applying to new jobs soon after but I've had no luck, even considered another apprenticeship but I hated the last one so much, and they don't pay as much as I'm on now, it's not really an option. I'm just stuck, it's been 7 months and I'm so stuck, I just don't want to be here anymore.

I’m leaving my place soon, so there’s a bed in a double room that will be available from the 1st of June (with doors open to stay for the next a.y. 2024/2025 and possibility to change to another room in September) in via Pietro Danieletti, Arcella area. I was doing amazing in life, had a good banking Job was making pretty good money, bought a Mercedes, was getting all the girls, everything seemed like it was going right.
Surely after I gave myself more financial responsibilities everything started crashing down I started owing more and more money and now I’m about $30,000 Dollars in debt which in reality is not so much money and it something that with time you can payoff, but recently in November I lost my Job because I’m only allowed to work with a Work Authorization card and it expired, it normally takes 3-6 months to get it renewed and unfortunately for me in took 6 months to receive so my job had to let me go which I completely understood. I don’t blame anyone for my mistakes I take all the responsibility but now I’m stuck in a state of depression and even think about taking my life which I would’ve never thought would ever cross my mind it being that in such an optimistic and happy person. everything seems to be going against me at the moment which makes things harder I recently was going to get my job back but now they require a credit check, which I also understand why that’s put in place specially for banking Jobs, but because I haven’t been working for 6 months I haven’t had extra money to pay my credit cards etc… so now I know that even though I had an amazing interview and the manager loved me i won’t be able to get a job because of poor credit history, it’s very hard for me being in this moment because I lost the sense of what’s gonna become of my life. I truly hate disappointing and although I know it’s not something that should hold so much weight for me, unfortunately it does because I know I’ve let my family down all over not being as responsible as i should’ve been.
Right now I got The love of my life back in my life and we have been doing amazing, we both want the same things and confess our love for each other everyday , I haven’t told her any of what’s going on because i thought I’d get my job back and everything would go back to normal, I’m now afraid I might have to let her go :/ because I cannot give to her what she deserves at the current moment, it’s hard for me to talk about my personal life and problems with people I’m closed with, I like keeping things to myself and dealing with my problems on my own, I guess you can say I’m afraid of being judged.
I hope I can find the courage to see things though, I think we should all be grateful to be here no matter what problems we might have, but for the first time in my life I can understand why people would want to take their own life.

I'm beyond elated, though I know it needs to be paired with discipline to actually be beneficial in my life. I was diagnosed at 14 but my parents refused to put me on any medication as they believe it will do more harm than good. 3 years and 11 months later I can wholeheartedly say they were wrong.
