Typical high-school story: I had a bully on my tail. He was one of those assholes that kept bugging me, jumping me and laughing while he pushed me around. And it happened once in a while, mostly I could avoid him. High school started at 9, and I used to walk to school so I would be there at 8, because about half past 8, the buses would come. And he would get on the walk from the parking lot up to the school.
Whenever he would bully me, I tried the pacifist approach first, just get away from there, he was an asshole anyway, not worth my time.... I remember one time in winter when him and his goons shoved me into a pile of snow and smoshed a snowball right into my face. I struggled to break free and then he suddenly just pushed me hard so I fell to the ground. I remember one of my friends (bless his heart) asking me if I was okay? "That looked like it hurt." I just said "I am fine!" before going away to a place to cry by myself and cursing the bully under my breath. That was all.
Until one day when I was on my way to the cafeteria. He stood in the middle of the doorway, blocking it and grinning widely. I asked if he could move, to which he just grinned "Hurr hurr, please move...". I turned around and started to walk away, thinking again to not start something..... Then I heard him laughing to his goons behind my back. And something snapped. I turned around and I ran straight against him, grabbing him by his collar and pushed him through the door! He fell down and I went into the cafeteria. I think I must've suprised him because he didn't get up and chase after me or something. My memory is hazy after this, I don't think I stopped the bully entirely because he could still call me names. Still, better than getting jumped.
When I tell this story, people can go "Good for you, you stood up for yourself against that bully!" Me though.... I feel I I should've done more! I can catch myself fantasizing about when he was lying there on the floor after I had pushed him, how I should've kicked his teeth in, gouged an eye out, stomped on his ribcage... I know, it wouldn't have been a good idea at the time, I would've gotten into all sorts of trouble. And it's just a power fantasy, ain't it? Only those things that happens in "macho-bullshit-fantasyland". I don't think I would be that violent, I didn't have the stomach for it then and certainly not now. Still, I hate this guy. So very much.
And yet, I don't want to hate this guy so much. I mean I am in my mid-30s now, I have dealt with issues bigger than him. The last time I saw the guy was at the pub, and since then I haven't seen him. He glanced at me and was like "Hey... I recognize you, you're (some guys) little brother, ain't ya?" To which I just glared at him and replied "Nope, I am the kid you bullied in high school." To which he just scoffed, that didn't happen.... But he did give me several glares throughout the night. As if he was scared of me trying something, maybe he thought I was drunk enough to try and hit him with a bottle or something?
Hell, he might've become an actual decent person for all I know! If I had been friendly to him at the pub, maybe I would've noticed a new, more mature side to him! Still... I catch myself wishing I had been more violent against him, as if justice still hasn't been done! He made my high school years a hell, and he still hasn't paid for it! He bullied me and... That's it?! He got away?! That's not fair!

I was playing on Roblox and I tried to send a friend request to 2 different people, and when pressing the "Send Request" button it didn't change the icon to "cancel request." If I left the game to try to add them by typing their name, it will say "Already Exists." Furthermore, if I went on the website and tried to send a request, it would say "Unable to send friend request." Not sure if they blocked me or whatever. They could still see my messages, so its probably unlikely. Does anyone know the reason why this is happening?

I'm 19 almost 20 in college and relatively attractive ( According to my friends as well lol ). I don't think i can ever recall a time a girl has ever tried flirting with me or even just " sent me signals ". I have friends and a social life and i have asked out plenty of girls too. The only time i've ever had a " gf " was for like a month in 8th grade and ultimately, she wasn't interested and has been with the same guy since Freshmen year some fucking how. The last girl i asked out we were friends for like 2 years and she told me she already had someone ( Even though i don't recall her telling me ) and blocked me. It feels like women are just naturally not attracted to me specifically honestly. I hear from threads on this site and my friends that it's easy " Dude it's not hard if you just want a GF all you have to do is spend a month talking to girls and asking them out it's that easy ".
It just seems like a giant joke, I've worked two jobs, workout everyday, made it to college, played sports in HS, ect. But it just feels like one of those things that I'm incapable of doing. Like you know how many ugly guys i know with amazing gf's that have been together for years? Not just attractive like genuinely good partners. It feels like i just have shitty luck rather than lacking a ability to talk to girls. It seemed way easier in High School anyway, Now that I'm and adult in college it feels way harder. A lot more girls are in or have been in relationships and I'm still a virgin which feels pretty daunting personally. I can say the same thing about my guy friends too. The worst is when they talk about being with a girl or their gf and i just have to sit their in awkward silence trying not to feel like a jealous asshole but the truth is i do but never say it.
Some of them are straight up idiots that don't look as good as me and it confuses me. Yeah some of them are probably lying but i know their are a few guys that don't and i have no clue how they do it. I've literally taken their advice which ended up getting me blocked by that other girl. And now that the semester is over it's goanna be even harder anyway. If it's so simple and yet I've been failing for years when it usually takes less than a month should i just give up? I guess becoming a Buddhist monk would be nice.

I've been afraid of lizards ever since I was a teen and started seeing them everywhere, from school to school van, home, tons of them at home, and everywhere I go and my mother peddled some superstitious bs about them. About how it's bad luck and how one of our relative had a lot of lizards in their house and soon after they had a brain hemorrhage. I know it's bs but I can't get over it.
Now it's summer again and I constantly see lizards in my washroom, both of them. And I just can't go. I've blocked all possible entry points but the small ones just manage to come. And there have been so many times my parents, friends or roomates go to shoo them away but they don't see any. I'm the only one who see them and people are starting to think I'm crazy, but I'm not, they're just really good at hiding.
At the moment my roommate shooes them away for me but I can see she's also starting to get annoyed, because it's been everyday since the past week. Again, only I see them. My other room is also afraid but she doesn't see any either. Sometimes I see them at odd times when I go to the washroom at 3 AM or something but I can't wake up my roommate them and by morning they're gone. And I'm left to live in constant fear.
I've been told to get a cat but once I read about a girl whose cat ate a lizard and puked inside her house and she had to clean the chewed remains of a lizard then. So getting a cat is out of question.
Another solution is getting a spray. I did, and it slows down the lizard so you can pick it up in a dust pan and throw out but I am not ready to do that. My roommate does it but I can't.

Okay, for some reason when i tried opening the coolmathgames website using a Philippine IP, it got blocked for some reason, I'm not even in school. I tried asking others to open coolmathgames on their browser and they got blocked too. The only way i could access the site is through a VPN. And if coolmathgames was intentionally blocked from the Philippines, can someone explain why is Filipino still an option in the languages menu?

100 Awesome Flash Fiction Prompts - Plus Bonus Prompts!
We’ve put together 100 flash fiction prompts, each one designed for a very short story. These prompts will probably be best suited to a story of between 300-1,000 words. If you want to write a longer story using these prompts, you can easily expand these ideas to fit a story of any length.
What is flash fiction?
Flash Fiction is defined as a very short story that can be anywhere from just a couple of words to about a thousand in length. The beauty (and difficulty) of writing flash fiction lies in trying to tell a complete story in so few words. Great flash fiction is succinct, emotive, thought-provoking, and impactful.
What’s the difference between flash fiction and a short story?
The only difference between flash fiction and a typical short story is the word count. However, this scarcity of words means that writing flash fiction can feel like a completely new skill. Just like the short story is a different animal to the novel or novella; flash fiction is kind of unique.
When writing flash, you’ll need to use fewer characters, a simpler plot, and you’ll have to make each word count. This is why editing is so important. You have to be brutal. Cut out everything superfluous and really make sure each and every word is performing an important function in the story. If you’re interested in writing very short fiction, why not check out drabbles? Drabbles are stories of exactly 100 words in length, and they can be a great way to practice keeping your stories very, very short.
How to plot a flash fiction story
When you sit down to write flash fiction, you must begin by choosing an appropriate plot. You cannot simply use a short story plot and tell it using fewer words. A typical flash fiction plot is like looking at one part of a story under a microscope.
For example, let’s look at prompt #21 in our list of 100 Flash Fiction Prompts:

1. Two people on a sinking ship must decide who should take the last seat in the last lifeboat. If you were writing a novel about a sinking ship, you’d probably want the actual sinking to be the climax of the story. Of course, there are infinite ways to write a novel about a sinking ship, but this would structurally be the most obvious. You’d use the first part of the novel to introduce your characters and describe the voyage leading up to the sinking and the sinking of the ship would be the dramatic climax, leaving the last part of the book as the resolution.

The golden rule of writing short stories is to begin as close to end as you can. So, to turn the same story from novel to short story, you’d probably want to begin with the ship sinking. You haven’t got time to introduce the characters before the action begins, so you’d need to feed in exposition and backstory here and there during the events.
All stories need a good climax. So, you would find the most dramatic moment in the story and build up to it. Perhaps your climax would be the two main characters having to decide who will take the remaining seat on the last lifeboat.
Finally, you need a resolution. In a longer short story you do have time to bring in some kind of satisfying resolution at the end.
But, if you’re writing flash fiction and your story is only a few hundred words, you really need to zoom in on one tiny moment in that story.
You don’t have time to tell the entire story of a sinking ship, but you can turn one moment into a story.
We’ve chosen the lifeboat situation as the key moment in this hypothetical story. Two characters must decide which one of them will take the last seat on the last lifeboat. This is an appropriate plot for flash fiction because it’s simple, high-stakes, dramatic, and thought provoking.
Not all flash fiction will have a plot quite this dramatic, but all great flash fiction will have a plot that can be expressed in just one or two sentences.
If you have a plot in mind, but it seems more suitable for a longer story, you can sometimes find several flash fiction plots hidden within it. Just look for little stories within the story, like the lifeboat moment in our hypothetical tale of the sinking ship.
This brings us to our top tip for coming up with ideas for flash fiction stories:
if you’re ever stuck for ideas, you can find little stories within the story in books, movies, and TV shows. A full length feature film might have as many as 20 little incidents in it that could easily be flash fiction.
Don’t directly write a story based on the film, though. Just carefully pick out those little moments, write down what’s happening as a one or two sentence plot, and then use it to inspire your own, completely original flash fiction story.

How to write very short flash fiction
There are several reasons writers might start writing flash fiction. Of course, it could be that they just love and enjoy the form, but sometimes they’ll be a more strategic and practical reason at play.
Perhaps they want to practise the process of writing stories within the confines of a certain word limit. Maybe they are trying to develop a daily writing routine and they don’t have a lot of free time. It could be that they’re trying to break a habit of not finishing writing projects, or perhaps they are entering a flash fiction competition.
Whatever the reason, very often when we sit down to write flash, we must work under an imposed or self-imposed word restraint. We’ve set ourselves (or been set) the task of keeping the story under a particular number of words.
So, how do you plot a flash fiction story when you have to keep your story very, very short.
We’re not going to discuss stories of 100 words or fewer here. Technically, those stories are still flash, however, we prefer to categorise 100 word stories as drabbles and anything under 100 words as micro fiction.
But what if you have to keep your flash fiction story under, let’s say, 300 words? How do you write a flash fiction story that short?
The answer is: get your microscope out again. Remember earlier when we said writing flash fiction is like looking at part of a story under a microscope? If you have to write very short flash fiction, you’ll need to zoom in even further.
Let’s look at a couple of examples from our 100 Flash Fiction Prompts:

1. During a match, a young boxer must decide whether to throw the fight.

If you had 1,000 words to devote to the story, you could have time to tell the story of the entire fight. With only 300 words, it might be better to zoom in on the very moment when the boxer must choose whether or not to go down.
In a longer flash fiction story you might have time to go into detail about why he’s in this situation and why he’s so conflicted. In a 300 word story, you might only devote one or two sentences to his gambling debt and the large sum of money waiting for him if he goes down in the third round, as instructed.

1. A family must decide what to take and what to leave behind as a wildfire approaches their home.

If you had 1,000 words to devote to this story, you might be able to write about the whole process of choosing what to take and what to leave behind. You might be able to mention many different choices and have the whole family participate in the story. You’d be able to go into some details about certain choices and the stories behind individual objects or mementos, as well as the implications of choosing certain things over others.
With only 300 words, it would be advisable to zoom in on one member of the family and to focus on one profound and important choice.
How to write a flash fiction story
Now you have your mini plot, you still need to make sure your flash fiction feels like a complete story. It should still have a beginning, middle, and an end.
Just like a short story, you may need to bring in a little exposition here and there to give texture, context, backstory, and to bring some depth to the characters. But, unlike a short story, you won’t necessarily need to end with a full, detailed resolution. It’s quite common for a flash fiction story to end with a quick twist or plenty of ambiguity.
Flash Fiction is much more about eliciting emotions and provoking thought, than setting up and resolving a complex story.

Hey, i am a minor whose been struggling their whole life with a bunch of stuff, and its only worse now, all my mental ilnesses have catched up to me and my mom has gotten way way worse, i dont know if im even doing this right i just need someone to talk to other then all my online friends, I've been homeschooled for about five years now with no way of having any social life and barely ever getting to go out, no vacations or anything, the most that happens is my cousin coming over once every few years, i have no way of getting to go out and i cant make friends in online school because i don't relate to any of them and they're all really rude for some reason, with the topic of school, i have been serverely struggling, and my mom wont leave me alone about it, she constantly comes into my room and screams at me for it, its gone to the point where if i hear someone by my room i just think its her and when i hear her voice i already know shes gonna yell at me, i even sometimes have hallucinations or bad nightmares about it, and some other past experiences too, i can barely do school and all my school does is give me more work when im already struggling, and they constantly email her which makes her more upset at me, ive told her ive been having trouble and they wont stop giving me more work but she doesn't listen to me, ive tried to attempt multiple times and shes even saw my self harm cuts because ive talked to a counselor about it when i was in person school and all she did was yell at me for it, even when my friend was over, now im scared to ever talk to any adult about this, i have none to talk to this about to even, ive even told her about the SA my cousin did to me and she didnt care, but she constantly makes innapropiate remarks to me like "youre gonna get trafficked if you wear that" and i barely even wear revealing stuff, i wear oversized sweaters usually, i hate showing my skin, i just hate my body, theres no point in even wearing anything "good" if i cant even go out right? i dont want to be by her. i really dont. she makes me feel scared and uncomfortable and she constantly treats me like i dont have emotions, i cant even talk to a therapist because she has to be there and always talks for me, and i dont want to. the only people i talk to this about is my online friends, and well, lets just say having your life always online isnt the best. and im not even talking about posting or anything, im talking about it being your ONLY life, i constantly get messages from pedos and i dont even know how they found me, and my friends are mentally ill like me and constantly tell me theyre gonna kill themselves, and that scares me so bad, i dont want to loose the only thing i have. my mom threatens to take away my internet and in fact she did once for two years, so i had no communication at all for two whole years, and one of the reasons i have such a trouble with school is because i helped my little brother who cant read with school for a year so i couldnt focus on my work so i was basically learning nothing, and i was already struggling since school is confusing for me, its hard to focus and get stuff, i feel like i need it to be explained in a way that i can understand, i dont even feel normal, i hate living a life that i cant control. the only actual comfort i have is my cats and theyre always in cages or outside, because we have a ton of cats and my mom wont give them to homes that will actually take care of them. she doesnt even have money to get them fixed. and on this topic of my home life, my mom has never been good to me, in fact shes been really neglectful all my life i even have memories of physical abuse and it still sometimes happens, sometimes she refuses to take me to the hospital, and i remember I've been afraid of lizards ever since I was a teen and started seeing them everywhere, from school to school van, home, tons of them at home, and everywhere I go and my mother peddled some superstitious bs about them. My youngest daughter turned 18 and wasn’t in school from 16 to 18. A month before she turned 18 my ex enrolled her into EPIC Charter Schools. My daughter is not doing the school work and was living out of state with her new boyfriend and both of them moved back in with my ex. I own a small house in a HCOL city. Most people who live here either have very high paying jobs or have multiple roommates. A one bedroom apartment is $2,800. I was lucky enough to buy my house over ten years ago and get a gift from my family to make it possible.
My ex is a teacher. We lived together for three years. She paid half the mortgage, her part was $800 a month, while she was here. During that time we discussed our future and made plans. I don't have time for a dog with my job. So I told her she needed to take him. She asked me to please take care of Haley until they found a place that accepts pets. And I did. For six months.

Hello my friend is having an issue with her computer, it is brand new and was provided by a German prebuilt company, it will not allow access to any websites that aren't German or google. Same goes for applications, and the only ones that can be downloaded are from the Microsoft store. The error that comes up when trying to access the websites is: here
ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE
We have tried flushing the DNS and changing it to something else. Also tried pinging the google and cloudflare DNS and get "Transmit failed. General failure".
The only way it seems to work is when Mobile Data is used as a hotspot. So I think that it is being blocked/restricted by her ISP. We also tried contacting the providers of the PC and they are taking forever to reply.

We recently received the free trial. We let the car drive from our home just north of Seattle, all the way to Steven's pass, and well, it did. We had to intervene a few times. Specifically:

• Passed through a school zone and the car missed a speed limit sign
• Did not slow down fast enough on highway 2 for speed limit reductions in small towns Attempted to drive a little to fast for our comfort on some of those hairpin turns close to the pass. Note, it was our comfort that caused the disengagement, I don't believe the car was being unsafe
• Had to intervene to navigate around an accident and an emergency vehicle partially blocking the lane. The car may have figured it out, but it was slowing too much and seemed too confused.
• Intervened to creep forward closer to a light at an intersection to trigger the sensor to change the light.

The car navigated like a champ through complex intersections, circles. It safely gave space to bikers on the side of the road. Safely slowed down to allow other people to merge into a lane. Stopped appropriately at all stop signs and lights. All the interventions seemed fixable, and honestly most of those interventions seemed caused by exceptions to the operating environment.
The car doesn't drive like a human. It follows the traffic laws too closely and at times, I felt it was annoying other (human) drivers. I wonder if the NHTSA should enforce a some sort of light or way to notify other drivers that 'this car is driving itself' so they know what to expect.
I am considering paying the 100$, it was nice not having to think about where to turn and when.

The president of my company has been working out of our second office in another state all winter and was due to arrive back in town Monday. Friday afternoon I took it upon myself to do a once over in his office, restarting his printer and docking station to make sure everything worked smoothly since he'd been gone for a few months. I hate when he comes back in the building and something isn't working as expected because it's been sitting stale for so long. Everything seemed in line and I didn't anticipate any issues on Monday morning.
I get into my office at 7:51 and at 7:52 he walks in saying "Hey, I need your help with something."
"Sure. What's up?"
"Can you help me get these basketball tickets on my phone?"
Not what I was expecting, but at least nothing is broken. Normally if someone asked me for help with something like this I'd tell them to get lost but this guys name is literally on the front of the building so I agree to take a look. A colleague has sent him playoff tickets via a link in a text message. He clicks the ticketmaster link and it gives him an error. "Session suspended, try another location or another device." I take the phone, copy the link out of Safari, and try it in Chrome. Same message.
I ask him if we can go try the link on his computer and he agrees. I send the link to himself in an email so it will be in his inbox. We walk to his office and I have him pull up Outlook. He's about to open the message and he says "Oh, he also already emailed it to me" and shows me an email from the colleague with the ticket transfer message.
So I'm thinking "oh, this explains it. the guy retransferred the tickets via email so the fist link in the text is probably no good."
We open that link on his computer and he's able to log into his ticketmaster account and accept the tickets. They are in his account now, he should be good to go. But there is a message on the page saying "Your phone is your ticket, login from your mobile device to add the tickets to your wallet."
We go back to his phone and i just try pulling up the main ticketmaster(dot)com website and to my dread see the same "your session is suspended, try another location or device" message. Well, now i CAN'T use another device, it has to be THIS device so i can get the tickets into his apple wallet. I clear the browser cache and cookies. Same thing. I try incognito mode. Same thing. I switch from wifi to mobile data. Same thing.
I start looking up the error and it seems like ticketmaster has some checks in place and if it sees suspicious browsing behavior, it assumes you might be a bot trying to snipe tickets and blocks you. The TM support page says it's temporary and to try again later.
I tell the president i think it temporarily blocked him after he opened that first link so many times. We should let it cool off and try again later. "No problem. the game isn't until tomorrow."
I didn't see him the rest of the day and he took off early in the afternoon so we didn't have a chance to circle back.
He doesn't get into the office until about 11am the next morning and hands me his phone. It's been over 24 hours at this point, the temporary block must be gone. I open up the TM website and see the same freaking error... uh oh... I tell him there's still a problem and I need to figure out what to do next. He blurts out the passcode to his phone and heads out to lunch.
I take the device back to my office and start doing some research. Everyone online that has this problem gets the error because they are trying to do some shady crap to buy or reserve tickets and nobody has an answer for how to release whatever block TM puts on you. TM support articles say you just have to wait. I can't wait. The game is tonight. If he doesn't get these tickets, he's going to be out thousands of dollars and it's going to be MY fault because my fingers are all over this at this point. Is any of this even my job?
I figure the next step is going to be to grab a spare phone out of my supply, have him log into his apple id (if he even remembers the password), and accept the tickets from there. I'm not entirely sure how the apple wallet works. If he gets the tickets on one phone will they show up on his other one? I figure, worst case scenario, he has to carry this second phone with him to get into the game.
I'm waiting for him to get back from lunch to explain this asinine workaround when I think to myself "screw it. lets just restart this phone."
I restart the phone and am lucky I am staring at it while it starts up because once it does I see a message in the corner. For 1 brief second it says "VPN" and disappears. I go into the settings and find out that while this guy was out of town, he subscribed to a VPN service and installed it on his phone. Once I disabled it, the TM website worked perfectly normally. Saved again by a restart!
He came back from lunch and I said "I didn't realize you had a VPN on your phone." He says "Oh yeah, i got that a couple months ago. why?" I told him that the TM website apparently doesn't play well with with his VPN service and that once i disabled it, i was able to get to the website and that he should turn it back on once we get the tickets into his wallet.
He logs into the site, sees the tickets, and adds them to his apple wallet. Then i show him how to turn the VPN back on.
Mission Accomplished!
Then he turns back to me and says "So now, how do i transfer these to someone else?"...

So little back story, my friend F18, is has very strict parents, and unfortunately she was very good at school, not inherently stupid AT ALL, just not made for science which her parents forced her to do. We did our final exams, which she failed, retook and failed again. Understandably her parents were very mad.
She is very religious, so instead of living with her parents till she got enough marks to go to university she decided to do a Christian missionary mission in another country and pursue an online degree there. Before going she coincidentally met her bf (ex maybe?) a month before. Safe to say they did everything she’s never done and honestly good for her.
This is where it gets weird. She tells us that her grandpa is very sick and that they will have to go back to her country to be there with him, whole family leaves, and that she’ll go to her Christian mission from there. Which is fine. Weeks go by, I hear nothing from her so I decided to call her, she then proceeds to tell me that her parents found out about her bf and that’s why they went and her grandpa was never really sick. I find it weird but give her the benefit of the doubt but turns out her bf also didn’t know and he messaged me to find out (which is weird cause we never talk).
So she’s now doing her mission and when she first got there I asked her how it was going she was typing a response but left me on read so I thought maybe she got busy, a few days later a mutual friend tells us that she told him to delete her contacts and block her. Everyone agrees but she still updates regularly on Snapchat, so it doesn’t seem like her phone access is restricted.

Hey folks, my wife received a letter from the folks in California Franchise Tax Board about requiring additional information to validate her qualification for Earned Income Tax Credit.
But we live on the direct opposite side of the country and have never been to California. I tried looking up FTB to see if they were some type of scammers but it looks like a real state organization. So I called the number on the website but the Rep who took my call only told me that we need to submit documents. I kept asking, why is this being requested by the state of California when I live on the east coast and she just said "because you filed your taxes in 2023". She then sent me to another department but that phone rang and rang until the call ended.
This all feels very weird and I'm not sure why we aren't being contacted by the IRS if there is actually an issue. I filed for the both of us jointly using FreeTaxUSA and thought it went by smoothly. I don't get why my wife was sent a letter specifically either. I'm considering just heading out to H&R Block tomorrow to figure this out but I figured I'd ask the fine folks of this sub to see if there is anything I can do today.

So this is a story that takes place over about two years. It starts when in high school when I was in ninth grade this new girl came to my school and was in a lot of my classes in the story we will call her R. R didn’t have very many friends when she came to the school so myself and a few of my other friends started to hangout with her. She seemed nice at first but eventually her true self came out. Myself and some of my friend who we I’ll refer to as tree,Allie,may,Gina ,jay,Leo,etc… One random day while in school r had come up to me in class asking to talk in private so I went with her because she seemed upset. We found a table kind of away from others and started to talk. R confessed to me that tree had r worded her. For some background tree is an autistic person who doesn’t even let close friends touch him and has never been interested in being in a relationship during this time period. As it turns out r had told my other friends this same thing and tree eventually found out. Tree had told everyone his side of the story which was that yes they had TALKED outside of school but it was r who tried to push a relationship onto him. Tree had told her many times that he wasn’t interested in a relationship. We eventually confronted her about his side of the story and she lied saying she had never told us about him trying to r word her. This caused us to have to go to our school counselor to report this which caused parents to get involved.
Fast forward a bit everything is pretty much normal and none of us are really talking to r. R ended up starting to talk to Leo which is jay’s younger brother. Leo was in 7th grade at the time. Leo had told her that he didn’t like her and everything seemed fine for a bit. After a few weeks of this r decided to try and kiss Leo. Jay wasn’t happy about this and told r to stay away from Leo. For weeks jay wouldn’t talk to r and r just wanted to apologize. When jay kept avoiding her r got fed up and said to me “I know he can hear me he isn’t f**king deaf.” And for context I am a person with hearing aids and a hearing impairment. That comment made me upset with r and caused me to stop talk to her permanently. At this point r keep trying to talk to most of my friends. R was given instructions that she wasn’t to talk to tree as tree’s mom was thinking about a restraining order because r kept causing trouble with tree.
Another jump to next school year we had started 10th grade. Over the summer tree’s parents were killed so we were trying to be supportive and keep things calm. None of us had classes with r at this point and everything was good. A few months into school r started to be unconsistant with coming into school. One day that she was in school the police had showed up and went to her class. R was taken away by the police and we didn’t see her for a few weeks. We didn’t know why r was taken out of school but it was one of two reasons. 1.)she was dating a 26 year old and our school counselor found out 2.) she was messaging a 4th grader and sending pictures which our counselor found out
Not to long after that incident r left the school and everything smoothed over making school easy for all of us. R wasn’t popular at my high school after a lot of people found out about the events and her parents decided she caused enough drama at the school. Everything is great between those friends and I now and we are all still in touch. We all blocked r and don’t have any contact with her and have 0 desire to talk to her.

My partner and I have been together for 6.5 years and he has always struggled with anxiety and depression since he was a child. When we bought our house 6 months ago, his anxiety surrounding money got very bad and he became quite depressed.
3 weeks ago my best friend was cheated on by her boyfriend and I was explaining to my boyfriend how pissed off I was at the guy for hurting my friend. That night he shut down, went to sleep in the spare room and he said that his anxiety had gotten very bad, I told him he had to speak to someone and so he booked an appointment with a psychologist. The next day he broke up with me (I was very confused). I had a trip planned with my family for two weeks so I went.
When I came back my partner broke down crying saying that he had sexual relations with a man 2 years ago twice while I was at work. He said that in grade 8 of high school this guy was quite forceful and they would suck each other off - my partner could never come from him (it was however consensual). He said that the guy wasn’t a nice guy and he hated the way he spoke/treated him but he liked sucking a dick, he also never kissed or did anything else as it grossed him out. This guy would message my partner every year or so out of the blue sending pictures, my partner would send pics back if he liked what he saw but would usually leave him on read.
He said that two years ago, the guy messaged again and he must’ve caught him at the right time because he said yes. The guy came over twice over 1 year period. After that he blocked the guy and never spoke to him again.
He said that he broke up with me because he thought that telling me the truth would be harder. His psychologist said that he had to tell me the truth, so he did. He regrets doing it and will do anything to get back together but is giving me space in the meantime. We’ve just invested all our money into a house and I’m not sure what to do. We’re stuck living with each other.

Sorry this may be a long one. First a little backstory. Names and locations will be changed to maintain anonymity.
I (35F) grew up in a blended family. My parents got divorced when I was 10 and my dad remarried when I was 11. In addition to my younger sister (33F) from his previous marriage to my mom, I gained a step brother (27 M) and later a half brother, Ben(22 M). My sister and I spent every other weekend and summers at his house and the four siblings grew really close. We’re all each other’s best friends. I get a long okay with my step mom (let’s call her Anna). As we got older my dad became less involved and sometimes distant and basically let her raise the boys how she saw fit. With a lack of rules at home and few opportunities to make mistakes to learn and grow into adults. They are in their 20s but they are very infantilized. The younger one is not even allowed to change his hairstyle without permission or go on out of state trips by himself. It’s really weird but I moved abroad a decade ago and everyone back home just allows it.
Now on to the story at hand:
I live in an Asian country and a few years ago I met the love of my life and after meeting my family back home decided to get married. We had planned on doing just a courthouse thing because we were both not very big on something traditional, but we got swept up in the excitement knowing that my Dad and Sister would come if we decided to do a proper wedding.
In this country, wedding planning tends to go pretty fast as everything is usually done by one company. We gave our out of town friends and family a heads up in February that we’d have a ceremony in the fall and that we will set headcount no later than late Spring.
My step mom anointed herself the wedding planner as she’s passionate about it. She also cannot make the trip due to a disability which makes it hard for her to get around. It was getting close to crunch time for the headcount planning so I contacted her asking “hey I haven’t heard from the boys and I can follow up with them too, but do you know if any are planning on coming?” She then answers “no because the baby doesn’t know his school schedule and the older one can’t afford it”.
I was hoping to at least have one join as I assumed one would want to stay behind to stay with Anna but I was a little sad that neither of them contacted me to let me know directly. I told my sister who connected with them and told them to get in touch. The youngest was shocked to hear that he wasn’t going as he was under the impression that he was going and he had even picked up extra shifts at work to save extra money. My step brother confirmed it was a money issue which was totally fine and I thanked him for letting me know. I’m now excited that one of my brothers will also be joining.
Fast forward to Mother’s Day and Anna tells no Ben is not going. My Dad asserts that “he doesn’t know how to clean his room so why should he go?”
Once I hear about this conversation I’m irritated as I keep getting conflicting answers and I need to set my headcount. I Message my dad to get an update and he affirms “no Ben is not going because he ran up our car insurance up so his extra money will go towards that and he has to stay home with Anna”. I call up my dad to try to figure things out as the story keeps changing. I mention that I’m totally okay if the boys can’t come especially if it comes down to money, but the communication around everything has been really frustrating. He then proceeds to gaslight me asking:
“I don’t know why you care some much about whether or not your brothers come to your wedding”
“You’re doing too much. You should have just done the courthouse and call it a day”
And making me out to be a bridezilla.
The call got a little heated but we neither of us got rude or nasty. I finally ended the call with “I got the boys aren’t coming. That’s fine. Once I get confirmation on the accommodations I’ll let you know. Love you and have a good night” we hang up and I go to bed after venting about the whole situation with my sister.
I wake up the next morning to find a short message from my dad saying he’s not going anymore and to have a nice wedding. He’ll give his spot to Ben.
I am shocked. Not only did he drop himself from the wedding but over a misunderstanding on his part. I never guilted anyone about not including my brothers and did not beg or anything. I literally just commented on how frustrated I was with their communication but he aggressively wants to misunderstand for some reason.
I wrote back explaining my position and mentioning my disappointment in his decision but let him know the door is open if he changes his mind. I tried to message Anna but she’s been ignoring messages. From what I heard from my sister she is team dad and busy trying to vilify me.
The next day my dad basically admitted that the reason why none of the brothers are not going is because of my step mom. (Which I was suspicious of). He didn’t apologize but basically doubled down on saying I care too much. He also added he would be at my wedding after all.
The whole interaction has left the worst taste in my mouth:

1. My parents tried to make me look like the bad guy just for trying to clarify head count.
   
2. My dad tried to punish me by threatening not to come.
   
3. My dad finally admitted that it’s Anna who is blocking her sons from going but instead of sticking up for me he lets her get away with it to “keep the peace”
   
4. He never apologized for any of it.
   

It’s turned me off towards wedding planning especially as I wasn’t even that keen of having a wedding to start with. So, would I be the asshole if I uninvited him?

I'm mostly asking for reinforcements, honestly. I know my reasons are solid.
TLDR: see title. wife of a very short time was seeing a massage therapist / former lover behind my back. is that alone enough reason for me to leave her?
I met someone last year in August. It was an intense courtship, we moved in together in December and married at the courthouse on Valentine's day. Now it's not even June, and already I have enough reason to pack up and go. There are several other issues, but there was one that was the last straw.
That was how after we'd only been married about two months, she arranged for a private massage therapist to come to our house. He was going to come while I was at work, I only heard about it when he had to reschedule for a time when I might be home. She described him just as 'this guy'. LONG story short, several weeks later, she eventually admitted (after lying about it, at first) that he wasn't just a good friend but also a former lover! From "many years ago", sure, but they began as dating, had sex, broke it off and became friends. I was absolutely livid. Nearly divorced her. She cried, apologized, begged me not to go. I forgave her and we stayed together.
'Many' in this circumstance is maximum 7, by the way. That's when she moved here originally.
Then I realized when reading my journal and looking at old messages; he'd come to her house before. Way back after we'd only been dating a couple months - but were definitely exclusive - I came over one afternoon and there was a guy on her block loading a massage table into his car. He had asked me to come a bit later, was taking a shower - among other signs. It was clear that he'd been there to see her. She has few neighbors and all of them are very poor (this is in Mexico), they couldn't afford it. Once I jogged my memory enough, I realized it was the same guy. Same car, same bag, same table. I had asked her about it that day, wasn't upset, just curious. She got mad at me for asking and called it an 'accusation'.
She still hasn't admitted that she was having him over back then. I no longer trust her at all, and I'm assuming they were probably doing more than professional massages. (They couldn't have been professional, by the way. All massage therapists learn in their first term of school about ethics, and how you should never take on a client you've had a relationship with, especially involving sex, before.)
So, now, I've found an apartment and am planning on moving June 1st. She can't afford the house we're in, but she has family on the US side (we're in a border town) who can help. What really sucks is that she has to take care of her disabled mother who will be recovering from surgery. I'm going to pay the rent for June at this place and my new apartment, just to help her out.
I keep trying to remind myself that I'm being kinder about this than I have to be. What she did was cheating. It doesn't matter if there was no sex or kissing, or even romance. She did something she knew I would be uncomfortable with, multiple times, lied about it, and still is.
There are multiple other reasons, but those issues alone were manageable. I'm just looking for some backup on if this issue alone is enough reason to break it off and go. My reasoning is that since she's refusing to come clean and be honest, after all this, means that I shouldn't trust her in the future. You can't have true love without trust, and it's a shaky bridge made of thin ice I shouldn't cross. I need to get out before this goes any further, definitely before we have a child.
So, what do you think? Am I right, or should I just get over it and move on.
