With Kaiser’s traumatic backstory being revealed to us, one would assume that “almost” nothing would be able to shake him, emphasis on the word almost. A much younger Kaiser was able to completely takeover the U20 BM team with just Ness by his side and he eventually earned his NG11 status. Moreover, he himself has stated that he has crushed second rate veterans and even fading “superstars” en route to his plan to become the best striker in the world.
Kaiser’s sole purpose for joining the NEL was to show that he was Noa’s equal or earn a higher bid to force his way out of BM. And in order to do this he only had to do “one single” thing, crush Japan’s newest ace, Isagi Yoichi. In the beginning everything went according to plan, he showed Isagi the tremendous gap in their talents in the Barcha game and he crushed Isagi’s initial plays in the Manshine match. However, everything began to go wrong once Isagi devoured MV from Kaiser. As soon as this moment happened, Kaiser’s plan was as good as dead.
Kaiser has never faced a player with Isagi’s mettle and thus he does not understand why tactics that worked on other players (veterans and even fading superstars) seem to be powerless when used against Japan’s newest ace. In Kaiser’s eyes, everything that he thought he knew turned out to be a lie. As “God’s” chosen emperor, the only conclusion that he can draw is that Isagi must be a demon that he cannot defeat.
In recent chapters Kaiser has been depicted as being absolutely “furious” at his own powerlessness in the face of Isagi. He has even been shown choking himself when thinks about said powerlessness. I (f29) have been with my partner (32m) for 10 years now. We are not married, but he did give me a ring over 2 years ago when we found out I was pregnant. He didn’t exactly ask the question in the moment, and we have never honestly discussed actually getting married. And at this point I feel this terrible fear about the idea of it now, because I’m so unsure of whether or not to continue our relationship. There have been a number of things I have told him I need from him in our relationship over the years, and they are always the same things. I don’t feel like he’s affectionate towards me, like we have cuddled in bed or on the couch maybe 3 times in the last year or so at least.That carries over to our sex life, which is often initiated by me, and only happens a couple times a month tops. He doesn’t really like to go out and do things (dinner,movies, etc). He rarely attends my family’s get togethers (even though I take our daughter to his family’s parties even if he’s not going, which he doesn’t 90% of the time) I work part time weird hours and he works full time so we don’t have to pay for day care. When I’m not at work, I’m on duty with our child and handle paying bills (with both our money), doctor visits, grocery shopping, socializing our child, doing all laundry, dishes and cooking. He works long hours and hasn’t tried to get a different job like I suggested because he says he often complains of being gone too much. (Please keep in mind, our monthly bills TOTAL are less than $1.2k. Mortgage,water,electric,no car payments. It’s not like we are in desperate need of money) I’ve also expressed to him that when he is home, I wish he’d be more present. He spends a lot of time on his phone texting his buddies, scrolling and sports gambling. And I get wanting to wind down after work, it just feels like he’s missing things because he literally is sometimes. Now I’ve communicated all of this to him. Multiple times, for each thing I’ve listed. Usually things improve for a week or maybe a couple weeks. Then slowly but surely, it’s the same and I feel the same as I have many times before. I guess I’m hoping maybe there’s someone out there who will read this and find similarities. And maybe they have some advice for me. How do you know when to stop? If it wasn’t for our child, I feel like I might already have been gone. I’m tired of feeling like I’m never a priority when I have put him and his mental health above mine. And now with a child I feel even smaller. He is truly a good dad, and I know he loves me, but sometimes I wonder if it’s enough. I don’t want to bash him like I am perfect because I’m not, but I just need to know if my feelings are valid. I love this game alot. It’s almost been 5 years since it came out and it’s still…Just….Like my favorite thing. I think the storytelling is really interesting because of how the “author” never has an agenda about what the player should believe, only the characters do. So the values that are presented just genuinely conflict, and the ”author” never does anything to make sitting in the middle easy, so you’re forced to genuinely consider how you yourself feel about what’s going on. The game could have easily been ”Choose one of three characters to play as and observe the story through” but Byleth changes how the story plays out completely. And yes they’re a “self insert” for the player to relate to but they’re also way more than that. I love how through your first playthrough they really do feel like a self insert, but by your second playthrough, you know more than Byleth does— all of a sudden Byleth’s feelings are BYLETH’S alone, while the player experiences their own feelings. And this is really interesting because of what I said about the author having no “agenda”. Even if your knuckles are white and you absolutely don’t agree with the people you’ve sided with, Byleth will not remain neutral. Ultimately, they are their own character, and they don’t know half as much as the player or the author. So they can never offer a comfortable middle ground for the player to default to. This game is so difficult emotionally to play, because the author will never validate your feelings or your beliefs— and his characters will disagree just as much as they agree with you. The characters are so REAL because of this. And I said that makes it difficult emotionally but that’s part of what I love about it. It’s thought provoking. Genuinely. Obviously it’s not perfect I don’t need anyone telling me why I’m “wrong” because this is just my opinion, and the fact is that in MY opinion the flaws do not withdraw enough to go unappreciated for what is good. I don’t think that was a coherent sentence I haven’t slept right in like 5 days but if you’re still reading this I’ll take my chances and keep talking. I think that it does something with its storytelling that could not be explored in any other medium and it excels at it. The characters are alive. They are real. Because the “moral” of the story isn’t cut and dry, it doesn’t fully agree or disagree with anyone because the “point” is that everyone in the world is trying their BEST. Even the Agarthans, alot of people hate them because they’re “mustache twirling villains” but I love how 3hopes expanded upon them with Arval. Even if those pieces were added after the fact, these games (and every game) are made by humans, and the willingness to improve (exponentially) upon a story in a SPIN-OFF is, I think, evidence of just how much the people who made it care. And that’s what I love about storytelling. I love it when people care. And maybe that’s me praising the bare minimum but I don’t think thats a stupid thing to celebrate. And back to the “moral” of the story, people doing their best, this game is genuinely uncomfortable to play most of the time and I think that’s why people argue so much about it— but I think that the sheer emotion these arguments have is evidence of just how bizarre and POWERFUL the method the story is told in is. It’s unconventional. It’s not typically advised to make your “reader” feel like a horrible fucking person for doing what they believe in, and even if other stories follow a similar “morally-grey” narrative, I don’t think that alot of videogames really utilize the power of forcing the player to PARTICIPATE in those things. Or, when they do, the “author”— some perspective that is above the characters in the story— makes the point that “This is maybe not the best decision, but, in light of the circumstances, there isn’t any other way to get this done.” Three houses completely shits on that by avoiding the middle-man, there is no higher power telling the player how they should perceive what’s going on, so every time you play through a route, you are confronted with the fact that EVERYONE is convinced that their way is the ONLY way— and they’re RIGHT, because none of them, as people, would ever be able to settle for anything else. But there isn’t a narrator telling you that. The game is so uncomfortable because you have to realize that for yourself, even after playing one or more routes that you favor. That’s a valuable fucking lesson and it could not be portrayed to this extent in anything but a video game. And maybe I’m dumb for analyzing a video game based on its ability to tell a “message” but that’s what storytelling is for. Stories grow people. They teach them about themselves. They force people to look at the world in a different way. That’s what they are to me anyway. And three houses has changed me. Literally and I don’t care how fucking embarrassing it is to say that about a fire emblem game. I could write 5 essays on how the characters and themes in this game have made me a better person and I could write 10 more about how it got me through the worst years of my life. Part of me wants to just gush and write all 15 of those but ultimately I feel like I’d just be trying to “prove” myself to myself by trying to convince myself that it’s not stupid to care so much about a video game, but I don’t want to care anymore! I fucking love this game! I appreciate it! It makes me happy! And besides narrative and shit it’s so much FUN even when the map design is shit that hasn’t stopped me from playing it 12 times to come up with the dumbest fucking builds just for fun. Reunion at dawn is an ass chapter but i Just think that’s funny. I no longer fear hell after playing that shit on maddening 3 times jeebaleeba you can tell my brain is dissolving like a chlorine tablet because now all of my filler words are just swears. Fuck. Sorry. Thank you for reading. I doubt anyone will read this. But hopefully someone will. Thanks anyway. Today after nearly one year of working at McDonald’s I’ve been forcibly resigned by my supervisor. I was notified by my GM that I wasn’t on the schedule which we both found weird. He adds me on a day or two One do the being 17 HOURS long. I was okay working that because I enjoy long hours but when I come into my shift I am greeted with a message from my supervisor stating “Hey there How come you are working? , I submitted your resignation to HR as of this week What am I missing” I promptly responded with a long message of my own I shall paraphrase here, I stated that I was unaware my resignation was even being put in considering I did NOT write a two week notice nor did I turn in any paper work. The only thing I ever mentioned to her was months ago talking about how I was thinking about leaving in May to pursue police academy, not once was this final nor was it talked over with my GM who had no idea. I was then cleaning in the lobby during this shift and she and my GM were having a conversation where I can loudly hear her state “we have no use for him, he’s useless” mind you after completing a 10 day work streak 2 days prior. I’m unsure if this is even legal, she could’ve just terminated me but rather acted like I resigned. I apologize for the rant but after losing my job I feel the need to atleast rant to someone about it. Thank you.

100 Girlfriends is a series that I think is pretty neat, considering its been my hyperfixation for the past couple of years. It's very much a solid riff at the genre of harem romcoms and takes at lot of time to actually break down each member of its cast and really ask how their character quirks really affect them, eventually transforming into world's weirdest group dynamic, where more attention is given towards how each girl interacts with each other as the cast expands ever further. Though that doesn't stop the showcases of sheer love and dedication that Rentarou is willing to convey every time he gets the spotlight. Also its funny as hell.
Hardly means its perfect though, as people have pointed out the many flaws of the story, including its pacing, the questionable nature of its relationships due to the age gaps and familial relations, as well as a general dislike of the whole 100 soulmates plot device. I'd love to discuss and refute these point in a later post (particularly the last one boy do I have counterarguments to certain objections) but this prelude is long enough as is, so let's get talking about the main subject of this rant: Chapter 119 aka Fondle Festival 2.
Momiji Momi is the 15th girlfriend introduced, and she has a naturally contentious main quirk. She is a training masseuse with a fascination for soft things, a fascination that spreads specifically to the body parts of others. This results in a penchant towards groping both the girls and Rentarou alike, usually with no direct ask to do so from Momiji.
This is a questionable trait and runs the natural risk of turning her into a Mineta, but a few different factors keep it decently justifiable. The main point here is she is constantly giving out massages to Rentarou's Family and others, usually before any sort of inappropriate gropage. Hell, her first interaction was Rentarou finding her after massaging the school's entire tennis team, who had literally collapsed from the sheer pleasure and relief of the massage, and in her introduction to the group proper she straight up offers to massage the rest of the cast first and foremost, and only after is the cast willing to offer up their bodies for feeling up. It takes on a sort of transactional exchange, the cast gets free massages from Momiji, and Momiji gets to indulge in her urge to touch where she wants (sans probably the d and the v). And the entire cast seems pretty fine with it, not really reacting after a while most of the time.
Momiji also isn't just focused on the fanservice bits; her penchant for soft things stretches to bouncy house, hot buns, bread dough, and Nami boob mouse pads. Even just looking at the human body she is interested is far from boobs and butts, going to cheeks, stomachs, hands, arms, and backs. While she still is there to highlight the goods when the time comes, Momiji comes off much more than a character exclusively meant to justify fanservice, even if she is debatably the simplest and flattest girl of the main cast so far.
Enter Fondle Festival 2, generally considered one of the series few actual misses chapter wise alongside the obnoxious introductory chapters of Chiyo as well as Beef Tongue, which I could write an entire other rant about so help me god. But Fondle Festival 2 has its status for a reason, as it very much murks up the ideas of consent.
To keep things brief, Momiji ends up swapping bodies with Rentarou through the powers of a convenient drug brewed up by resident ridiculous scenario causer Kusuri, and immediately goes to grope the boobs of every single girl on the rooftop with her new boy hands without the girls realizing its Momiji for a significant amount of time and absolutely without them giving a clear thumbs up.
Consent is a bit of a grey area in 100 Girlfriends more generally, mainly because as a gag series it does have a status quo that it needs to maintain for its cast. Usually most characters are pretty good about their ridiculous demands in terms of directly asking about it, but no matter how many times the characters say no or tell them to stop, such questions and actions will of course continue in the next chapter simply due to wanting to be able to pull out those traits for jokes again. Momiji herself is a perpetrator considering how often her groping is considered a gag in a panel even if it is making the characters uncomfortable, though she is far from the worst offender (looking at you Hahari). For the most part characters are willing to call out stuff that is actively bad and say in pretty uncertain terms that its terrible, but this stuff still does happen due to the nature of the genre and how characters are defined.
In the context of Fondle Festival 2, the girls in question are...mostly okay with it? They acknowledge that this is a weird situation and bunch actually take advantage of said situation to fulfill their less than kosher desires, and by the end its revealed that basically all of them caught onto what had happened and were totally taking advantage of it.
The problems start with only most of the girlfriends being okay with it. Uto completely breaks her chuuni bard persona and is left frozen in shock at such an event, unclear if she was okay with it. Several girls try to get Momiji to stop and get an unwanted grope because of it, and Mimimi straight up slaps Momiji (who Mimimi assumed was Rentarou) and insinuates for them to stop, but Momiji continues undetered. Multiple girls very clearly and explicitly give a sign that they are not okay with this and they need to stop, yet Momiji continues to make them feel uncomfortable.
My largest problem, however, is when you realize that Momiji is using Rentarou's body for this. Rentarou is a bastion of chastity in essentially every regard, going to frankly ridiculous length to prevent any sexual advances from the girls or himself. He straight up does not allow himself to think of the girls in a sexual if he can allow it, as he sees it as demeaning of the girls themselves and that would be a failure on his part. Is it a kind of ridiculous belief? Yes. Is it still his own belief that he holds up to the best of his ability? Also yes, and that needs to be respected.
Fondle Festival 2, in my humble opinion, does not respect that belief in a really frustrating way. I can't say for certain what good body swapping etiquette is, but I don't imagine that going off in someone else body and doing something that stands directly against their characterization, especially since Rentarou was knocked out for most of this, and Momiji even ends up groping Rentarou/her own chest, which makes this even murkier.
Momiji does end up getting some level of comeuppance by the end of the chapter through a taste of her own medicine and she fully apologizes to the girls about the whole incident in the bonus page of the chapter, but I'd argue the damage has been done and it doesn't stop the gross feeling I got when reading the chapter, either the original japanese raws or the translated version.
While I can shrug off a lot about this series, this flagrant ignoring of both the girls and Rentarou in this situation for the sake of a bit did not jive with me. Consent is important y'all.

Hey y’all. I feel like this is kinda dumb but there’s no stupid questions, right?
So I recently got back on hrt(been on 1mg pills twice before but not for long each time before health issues or anxiety got me too stop) and I wanted to ask about bigger people and the effects it might have on my boobs and if my body size/genetics has anything to do with it.
I am not at all skinny and slightly above average height (300lbs and 5’8.5”). I’ve got what some would call man boobs or moobs. Been teased about em a lot in life but whatever. I think being a girl with a nice chest would be awesome. But I’m curious if anyone else here has any idea on how my boobs might grow since I’ve pretty much already got a chest? Like, would my current chest just fill out or would it potentially come out weird?
Second question: I’ve heard from a few friends that the boob size your mom has is generally what you can expect to get from hormones. My mom was pretty damn well endowed(feel gross saying that ngl) and my chest isn’t tiny itself. Is there any truth to this or is this kinda just a thing people say? I would be genuinely worried if I had to carry things as big as hers around.

I have been being mean to you (even if you honestly blocked my email forever ago), and I need to apologize. If this is the only way I can, so be it. I understand that I seem crazy, and I have no right to interfere in your life. Please forgive me, though; I am not trying to interfere. I am trying to fix what is broken in myself.
I think I misunderstood our relationship. I would call it friendship, but that is also a relationship, so please forgive the misnomer. .
I need to explain my pent up anger. You said you'd given me every chance to talk about what happened. Obviously, it wasn't enough for me. It was an ongoing issue for me. I understand I was asking for more than you could have given, and I want to apologize. That was why I was angry, though. Short conversations never made me feel better, but I also didn't want to ruin every day that we talked or played together. And I really didn't want to push you because I knew there were other things happening in your life.
I haven't had an easy life either. I am sorry for lashing out at you for things I never explained and weren't your fault. I could never apologize enough about that. Every single time I've tried, I effed it up somehow.
I realized today, after my son had some trouble with a relationship, that it was time for him to (sadly) learn that you can't pick the consequences of your actions. We brought you and "Mario" up as mistakes I've made with people who were important to me that I've lost.
I wish we could be friends at all. I understand that won't happen right now.

My time at WashU has been some of my best years, no doubt. Even with COVID and all political issues going on in campus, I can certainly say that I have had a great experience. All the times I ate with my friends at the dining hall, studying til 3 am with a group, the half-blackout walk back to my apartment/dorms, I will never forget.
To any current and incoming students, our futures are important for sure, but please please please don’t forget to enjoy the experience. Go take that spontaneous trip, go out with your friends even though you’re swamped with work, and take any chance to connect with those close to you.
Me and my friends are currently sobbing at the idea of parting ways, and even with the countless hours we spent together, we still want any extra minute or second we can get.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t plan your future or have goals. Having a plan is wise, however plans and goals change as you age; friends and memories will be a constant throughout your life. Hello, so I’m looking for some advice on this, other opinions, mostly for myself as everyone else who knows I did this doesn’t seem to think so, but I can’t help but feel guilty and awful for it.
So, my brother and his girlfriend were together for over 3 years, it was all long distance, they lived in other countries and would see each other twice a year 2 weeks at a time. During this time, his gf and I became really good friends, I’d consider us to be best friends tbh. My brother and I are also really close. His gf and I talk a lot, texting every day, playing games together etc. Over the past few months, his gf has been very open with me about her relationship with my brother, and it’s a shit show. He is very controlling and toxic. Having been and escaping from a toxic, controlling relationship myself, I felt for her, so as time went on, the more she told me about him and how he treats her, I eventually told her she should break up with him. At first, she was dead against this, she loves him too much blah blah blah, but a week ago, she did it. He hadn’t changed and it became too much for her, so she broke up with him. This was her decision however, having told her to do it multiple times I can’t help but feel responsible. My brother has no idea, he didn’t know we even talked about her relationship with him. The part that makes me feel like an asshole, is when my brother FaceTimes me to talk, which he does often, and I see the look on his face when he mentions her or things that have been said since the breakup, and then I feel so sorry for him and sad, it breaks my heart.
They kept in contact after the break up, up until yesterday when she finally blocked him because he was calling her a cheating whore because she got her hair cut, cheating even though they aren’t together… makes sense. He was saying she’d met someone new etc. Here I encouraged her to block him and she did. I was relieved. She was free. I am devastated for my brother.
There is so much more I could write in this post, I could go into detail about every single thing he did wrong in their relationship but I would be here all day. So I think based on the last “cheating whore” part, you might get a general sense of how it was.

I've been having problems with my neighbours ever since I moved into my house over 2 years ago. Things like arguing all night, loud music, smell of weed seeping into my house, volatile personalities. I've spoken to the neighbour about it on many occasions. We fell out over it about 15 months ago.
About me: I'm disabled and I keep myself to myself. I've spoken to this neighbour multiple times about the smell of weed in my house which gives me a migraine- just to be a bit more mindful or smoke outside. The houses we live in are old terraced houses in England where the lofts are attached to each other so all she'd have to do is close the bedroom door.
Onto the noise: currently the neighbour lives with her 22 year old daughter. When I first moved in, the daughters boyfriend also lived there. There was arguing day and night, guttural screaming -the kind where you think someone has died. I called the police on several occasions but to it sounding like someone was being harmed in the house. Screaming things like "there's so much blood" etc. Again, I've spoken to this neighbour about it multiple times and I get the same thing: "I dint like it either, it keeps me awake all night too but I'm not arguing with my daughter".
Onto present day. Daughter and boyfriend moved out, broke up, daughters back. She screams on the phone all night and day, plays loud music, smokes weed all day. They have 8 animals in a small 2 bed house. 7 cats and one dog. The dog doesn't get let outside and she never takes him for a walk. He gets yelled at if he moves or barks and basically sits in the daughters bedroom getting hotboxed. The cats are not cared for properly. There are so many in such a small house there's constant territorial fighting, urinating and defecating everywhere. The cats spend most of their time outside trying to get into neighbouring houses. I've had to stop letting them in as I have 2 cats of my own and they were coming in and marking everything. Another neighbour had to stop letting them in because of fleas. They are left out in all weather, ice, snow, rain, they're not vaccinated, they don't have regular health check ups or anything. I built two cat shelters in the back garden so that her cats would have somewhere to go in bad weather.
I've been unwell lately so I spoke to the neighbour again. Said I didnt wanna have to keep chasing her up on this. I don't want to report her but I will if she doesn't speak to the daughter to be more mindful.
Was basically told "tough, deal with it, grow up, report me if it makes you feel better" so I did. I reported her to the police, the local council, and her landlord. The police paid her a visit on Sunday. Tuesday she receives a call from her landlord giving her a choice to give up some of the animals or get evicted. Naturally she came and verbally attacked me (I have it on camera)
I don't think IATA for reporting her. But maybe for reporting the pets

My mum died just over a month ago. I was beside myself with shock and grief at the time. We all (me, 2 brothers, dad) went the next day to pick up a lot of important documents from mums place, jewellery etc. I didn't notice at the time but my brothers was just taking all the information about the financial side of things. He also took all the jewellery. My brother has never seen my mum much or been around. He never saw her Christmas day. My dad was ok with him taking this stuff, however, my dad did not live with my mum either. I had lived with my mum until the age 32, supporting as much as I could. I couldn't do much financially as I didn't have a lot of money (a different story to my brothers and sister who never helped, but had money). I gave her support, helped her with different things. When she had to sell her house, I was the one searching for a place for her. I booked multiple estate agents viewings, bank appointments, surveyors. I did a lot to help. The same was the case when she needed a new car. I found her this lovely maisonette that was worth more than it was on sale for and it was a bargain for sure. This is where my mum died of a heart attack. This is now being passed to my father who has pushed me out. Me and my father never got on. I begged my mum to write a will so things would be fair when she died. She said she might need to do equity release and put off doing a will.
I am now left with my father who has told me "I couldn't wait for my mum to die". I remember lying awake panicking about her dying some nights. And why would you say something like that Fishlegs?” Fishlegs: “Sorry… Group anger makes me nervous and I’m just trying to fit in with it…” Hiccup: “Save your breath… It’s not like you’ll be using it much to curse me out anyway…” Snotlout: “What even are you planning?” Hiccup: “Self imposed exile… It’s better off this way given the circumstances, and don’t you guys try and talk me out of it… There’s nothing left for me here on Berk, I’m essentially just another mouth to feed and I’ve just eaten my last morsel…” Fishlegs: “Hiccup, I know what I said earlier may have come off as harsh, but we’re not here to ridicule you.” Hiccup: “You aren’t?” Tuffnut: “We aren’t?” Fishlegs: “Of course not guys, we talked about this earlier?” Ruffnut: “Oh right, we just tune out a lot of the time.” Snotlout: “Ugh… You two…” Fishlegs: “Anyway we’re here because we want to come with you both.” Hiccup: “Wait, what!?” Astrid: “And how do you know I’m going with him?” She asks in shock, as Snotlout then points to her basket of assorted items. Snotlout: “We figured it out as soon as you ran out of the house with that basket.” Fishlegs: “And after what we saw you attempt to do today, we connected the dots with the previous lessons we all had.” Hiccup: So… You knew?…” Fishlegs: “Yes.” Hiccup: “And you’re not upset at this? You don’t think I’m a traitor?” Fishlegs: “Absolutely not.” Snotlout: “Not really.” Ruffnut: “I’m actually very impressed by this.” Tuffnut: “I’m still slightly confused but it seems everyone’s in agreement with you here so, I’m with you little dude.” Hiccup: “Guys… I- I don’t know what to say…” Astrid: “Well you can start with what your plan is for us to leave here.” Hiccup: “Good point, but what I need to do first is find Toothless.” After he explains this, he hears Toothless’s trademark roar in a cage next to the Gronckle’s, and saw a flash of purple underneath the door. Deducing his best friend was locked up in there, he approaches the cage, opens the door and in a flash ends up on the floor with the Night Fury licking his face. Hiccup: “Aaahhhh! Agh, hey, I’m glad to see you too bud! It’ll be okay now that you’re out of there.” Toothless ends his lick barrage and lets out a purr, before seeing Astrid, and smiling at her. Eventually turning to the rest of the teenagers with a snarl, and charging up a fireball until Hiccup intervenes. Hiccup: Whoa, whoa, Toothless, Stand down! They’re not going to hurt you. The dragon then lets the fireball dissipate in his mouth, after letting out a cough and continues to stare at them. Fishlegs: “Oooh! A Night Fury! I never dreamed I’d see one in the flesh!” Tuffnut: “Um… What happened to his tail?” Hiccup: “Oh, er… Well you guys remember when I said to my father that I shot down a Night Fury and none of call believed me?…” They all nod with scattered ‘yes’s and ‘uh-huh’s after he asks this. Hiccup: “Well that was the result of it…” Fishlegs: “And did you make that artificial one for him?” Hiccup: “Yes, because otherwise he wouldn’t be able to fly.” Snotlout: "Oh great, not just great, perfect even. The dragon lover has hurt one of his closest friends.” Astrid: “This was before he and Toothless became friends” Tuffnut: “Why does he call him Toothless? All dragons have sharp teeth.” Hiccup: “Show ‘em bud.” Toothless then demonstrates to them all his retractable teeth, forcing them into his jaw and allowing the group to admire it for a while, before unsheathing them again. Hiccup: “That is why.” Ruffnut: “That’s incredible! I’m very impressed Hiccup~” She responds in a strangely flirty tone, causing Hiccup to become nervous and Astrid to stare her down. Fishlegs: “So… Um… How do we get our own dragons?” Hiccup: “I’ll show you, just do as I tell you, and you could very well make a fire-breathing friend for life.” He begins to explain with a more confident smile, as he approaches the Deadly Nadder’s cage, and opens it. Back with the boats, Stoick’s crew ends up becoming more despondent as after a considerable amount of time they still don’t end up closer to the nest. Assuming they merely went in circles, he then orders the ships to split up and take other paths, causing more confusion in the soldiers. Stoick: “I don’t care if you don’t like it, I’m the chief, and my way goes!” Spitelout: “Stoick, we’ve done this once before and we never return with a full crew afterwards!” Stoick: “Oh would you like to be running this particular mission?” Spitelout: “I’m just pointing out that maybe-” Stoick: “Well you’ll have time to point things out when we get there, now keep your positions!” He goes back to eyeing out the fog, while Spitelout angrily informs the rowers to keep moving, and orders two ships to split from the main group and row further to the starboard side. Back at the arena, and Hiccup gently coaxes the last dragon to exit his cage, the Monstrous Nightmare. Hiccup: “It’s okay… We’ve done this once before big guy.” He leads him further out into the arena. Even though the teens had already seen him doing this with the Gronckle, the Zippleback and the Nadder, they still watch on in awe. Hiccup, then having lead the Monstrous Nightmare out, then leads him to Snotlout. Snotlout: “Wait! What are you-!?” Hiccup: “Whoa, just relax… It’s okay, It’s okay.” He replies to both Snotlout and the dragon, as he grabs Snotlout’s hand. Putting it gently on the Monstrous Nightmare’s nose, causing the dragon to purr, and Snotlout to have a small giggle in disbelief. Snotlout: “Okay, this is amazing! Hey, where are you going Hiccup?” Hiccup: “Well, you’re all going to need something to help you hold on for a while, because we’re going to be riding these guys, to find ourselves a new home. Now there has to be some rope in here somewhere…” He begins to look through the munitions trough, then hearing a voice by the gate calling out to them all. Gobber: “Actually Hiccup, you could make them their own saddles, you have the time after all.” Hiccup: “Gobber? How did you know about that? And why are you not with the rest of the village?” Gobber: “I heard there was a slight tiff between you and your father, and wanted to at least try and help you out.” Hiccup: “Well that’s an understatement… As far as he’s concerned he’s not even my father anymore…” Gobber: “So I heard, and that was wrong, so I didn’t join him on his insanely deadly mission. What I will do though is help you kids out, so what can I start with?” Hiccup: “Well if you insist Gobber, and we’re going to need measurements for everybody and their new dragons. Just to make sure we have enough material to make the saddles, and ensure they don’t come off while we’re flying.” Gobber: “Righty-ho, I’ll see if I can find the tape measure!” He replies with determination, as he and Hiccup rush off to the smithy to get the saddles ready, while the rest of the teens acquaint themselves with their new dragons. Tuffnut: “I still don’t get why we have to share one…” Astrid: “Because all the other dragons have been taken by the rest of us.” Fishlegs: “Plus, among certain disciplines you guys work far better together, instead of apart.” Ruffnut: “No denying that!~” Fishlegs: “The Zippleback is much the same way, and with you guys sharing him, it would be far easier for things like rescue missions, search and seize-” Tuffnut: “Ultimate destruction?” Fishlegs: “What!? No!-” Snotlout: “Leave it Fishface, they’re already engrained in it…” An exasperated sigh escapes Fishlegs’s mouth, as he, Snotlout and Astrid are forced to watch this spectacle go on. Hiccup meanwhile, ends up having another heart-to-heart with Gobber. Gobber: “So how long has this thing with dragons been going on?” Hiccup: “Er… Sort of on and off since the early morning, raid months ago.” Gobber: “When you said you hit a Night Fury?” Hiccup: Yeah… Anyway it turned out you and everyone else were right… I’m not a dragon killer… Not even a proper viking in their eyes… But what I became, was something more valuable. A dragon trainer.” Gobber: “Dragon trainer?” Hiccup: “Understanding their ins and outs, gaining trust with tossing away weapons and feeding them fish, and in Toothless’s case, helping him regain his ability to fly.” Gobber: “That’s quite the achievement.” Hiccup: “Heh, you must be the only adult here that thinks that… Everyone else had kind of deemed me as an outcast… No one looks in my direction just like they used to before all this, and now even my dad doesn’t want a bar of me…” Gobber: “Hiccup… I know you’re going through a rough time at the moment, but is this really the way to go?… You’ve got an entire lifetime laid out ahead of you lad. And I-” Hiccup: “What life?… It honestly feels like I’m no longer welcome here by anyone, especially my own father… I’ve mentioned to you before that he doesn’t listen to me… I just wish for once he would realise that I could have valuable insight into all this stuff about Berk, vikings and the dragons, but he’s just too… Stubborn and set in his ways…” Hearing this soliloquy, Gobber simply sighs and puts his hand on Hiccup’s shoulder. Gobber: “I’m sure things will turn around for you soon Hiccup… In the meantime at least you’ll have your friends around you… Speaking of which, we should make a start on their saddles, shouldn’t we?” Hiccup: “Yep, you’re right Gobber, now let’s get that forge lit-” Not realising Toothless had followed them there, he lets out a plasma blast reigniting the coals. Giving Gobber a surprised gasp, but Hiccup looks over at the both of them with confusing before turning into amusement. Hiccup: “Just so you know Toothless, you didn’t have to do that, because you’re not a tool, but thanks.” He replies to his best bud as he sets some old discarded metal on top of the hot coals, and begins pressing on the bellows. After some time, they arrive back at the arena with the finished saddles. And after putting them onto the dragons, get ready to set off. Hiccup: “Well I guess this is it Gobber, I’ll make sure to write every so often.” Gobber: “Och, I have faith in ye, lad. Don’t ye worry” Snotlout: “Yeah, but it’s going to be ages before the mail arrives at either location.” Hiccup: “But it won’t have to” He replies to Snotlout with a grin, as he unleashes another secret weapon, in the form of a Terrible Terror with a cylindrical container loosely tied around his neck. Snotlout: “Whoa!” Tuffnut: “What the-?” Fishlegs: “Wow.” Hiccup: “Gang, this here is Messenger. He’s going to be part of our new mail delivery service, or Terror mail as I like to call it” Gobber: “Terror Mail?” Hiccup: “Yep, this little tube around his neck, will be used to store telegrams and all sorts of written documents, and transport them to the recipient carefully without getting dropped, drenched, or torched” Astrid: “And what if Stoick were to see him arriving on or leaving Berk?” Hiccup: “Honestly, I can’t even try think about it… But that’s why Gobber when he arrives with anything, you are to keep him in the shop, hidden up in the back corners so no-one discovers him.” Gobber: “Er… Righty-ho, I’ll do my best…” Hiccup: “Good, ready to fly gang?” Teens: “Yes!” Hiccup: “Alright, now hold tight.” He informs them as he sets his leg into Toothless’s mechanical stirrups. Hiccup: “Let’s go bud.” With a mighty roar, Toothless rushes upwards into the air, the rest of the teens follow suit. Astrid taking the position directly behind Toothless and Hiccup, Snotlout close behind them, the twins slightly lagging due to another argument, and Fishlegs pulling up the rear with his Gronckle. Gobber watches them fly off, giving them a send off wave as he heads back to the blacksmith stall. My cute dog (American Cocker Spaniel) will pass soon. He already had a bad start when he was still with his mom (inexperienced breeder). He spend the first few weeks in the hospital. Some of his brothers and sisters didn’t make it, but he did. When we had our first check up the vet told us that his lungs are not in a very good shape. The rest of his body was fine with the exception of his teeth which were close together and had some plague already.
During the years we encountered some problems. After weeks of searching what is happening we found he has an severe longterm allergy for beef. We eliminated everything which contains beef, they are everywhere even in Salmon Biscuits… after the elimination it went ok and we even got a second dog.
Everything was going well. He had some problems with teeth (bad shape, due to bad start and medicine there) and his temper like food protection or barking at cars / bikes, but it was fine and he got a good checkup every year including titer tests which were always ok. His health started to decline in the summer of 2023. He started limping on his front feed and was eating worse. We also noticed 2-3 weird spots on his skin which seems like hotspots. The vet told he was a bit heavy, he had a stiff neck and his intestines were a bit puzzled. A few sessions of acupuncture, good washing and balanced diet could help him, and it did help him for a few weeks.
In the winter his health suddenly declined and the weird spots on his skin increased and expanded over his entire body with crusts. He was losing a lot of hair. After a few vet visits, some medicine and some tests we discovered that he was highly allergy for almost everything you could imagine. This was a big message for me and my wife as it would mean we should change in the house a lot while we also have a other dog who lived the same life in perfect health. We switched to special hypoallergenic dog food of Hills so he does not react on that food and keep the other dog on his current food. We had to lock both pets apart and clean up where the other pet and also where we ate so he can’t get any other food in his stomach.
This worked for a few weeks. He remained happy when someone is home, we went to the forest or beach regularly and if I leave the house I always wants to be back as soon as possible to see my family again. I mainly work from home, so the two pets are always around and I have a deep emotional connection with them.
Unfortunately, the spots came back rapidly and he was shaking a lot. His teeth’s were also declining rapidly and his movement worsened that he could jump on the couch anymore and the stairs are done step for each step. We shifted from dexamethasone to Prednisone to see any difference, but recently we came to the conclusion that this and other treatments are not giving the results we and the vet wants. I was still looking for possible solutions, but my wife (had dogs in the past) and vet intervened that he is sick and everything we are doing could at the best only suppress symptoms, we were not making him better. The vet said we were doing everything right on food, health etc. But basically his immune system is failing and not doing what it is supposed to do.
This week we decided to put him down. He will get his final rest next Saturday, on his fifth birthday. I’m devastated and keep crying that it is going to happen. Never had a pet during my youth and I’m just worried about the gap of the unconditional love he will leave. I’m also worried about my second dog who never has been alone and plays a lot with him and what this change will do with him.
While I’m writing this, my dog is sitting next to me and shaking, but he has a lot of moments where it all looks good (with exception of the skin/fur) and he seems enjoying life now. I find it very difficult he is passing at such a young age and weird thoughts are going through my mind if i could have prevented this, do things differently or anything to expand his time here with us. I feel defeated that I couldn’t help him anymore. During the good times I keep on thinking to call off the euthanasia, but then what… wait until he has a very bad or very painful day?
No matter what, I love him and keep carrying the awesome memories and the times he dragged me and my wife through really hard times in my heart. But the grief that he will be gone soon…This is the worst I’ve ever felt in my life…

My (38/f) dad (72/m) was brought into emergency about 3 weeks ago for nerve compression pain. He has had this issue previously but nothing this severe. Doctors ran a bunch of tests including MRI and found mild nerve compression. Nothing else seemed serious.
He was recommended pain management though medication, physiotherapy, and rest.
Things were improving when last Friday he had a TIA or a mini stroke. I was with my dad when it happened. He had sudden loss/slurry speech that lasted one minute. Luckily he was already in the hospital and got quick evaluation and medication. His brain MRI showed multiple chronic lacunar infarction.
He has been put on medication for that too and running more tests. Echo and carotid doppler came back fine. He will be on medication for life and will have to make lifestyle changes.
I'm starting to struggle emotionally though. Especially after the mini stroke. We don't have any family or support here. So I stay with him at the hospital during the day, my mom (62/f) spends the the night.
After the mini stroke, my dad seems to to have lost some cognition. He is slow to speak. His memory feels a bit off. He takes time to respond. Often looks confused.
It almost seems like he was fine a month ago and now suddenly he has just shrunk or withered so quickly. As though he's aged several years.
I'm really struggling to see him like this. I feel like I'm running out of positivity and feel emotionally depleted. But I still want to stay strong and emotionally stable for him. Although it's feeling difficult with each passing day. My mom is obviously anxious and fatigued too.
I'm trying to find some sort of emotional anchor to help me stay grounded through this very challenging time. I don't know how to keep my spirits high so I can support my dad emotionally too.
There are also thoughts of what if he doesn't recover, what if he becomes a shadow of his previous self.
I'm writing this as I sit by his side. I held his hand in the morning trying to comfort him. And i spend all day just trying really hard not to cry (although I do when back home).
I'm looking for any advice, support, comfort to get through.

Every kid growing up in Gympie in the early 90- 2000s knew about the Love Tunnel.
The love tunnel was located over the hill from the skatepark on the Riverbank. It was a massive storm water drain filled with spray paint and lore unbound throughout the generations; the glowing dick, whose name is the furthest in, the people who live inside, the bull shark that lived under the bridge just outside, all that fun stuff.
It collapsed in the late 2000’s in a flood and was eventually rebuilt, but it was all fancy, modern, safe and not the same. Back in the day it had decades of graffiti, crumbling cement, jagged metal pole framing bent and jutting out from the sides. You know, real character.
I remember when I was just a kid at the skatepark and I spotted a bunch of other kids at the metal grating of a drain. I joined them and gazed down a few metres to some older teenagers, they had trekked through this “love tunnel” under the massive hill all this way. Badass I thought. LEGENDARY.
I talked about it at school, about this mysterious “love tunnel”. It was in view from the road when I crossed the bridge everyday on my daily commutes from the backseat of mums car.
I would gaze down at the weir and see the top of the love tunnel, sliightly hidden from view by a hill. It fascinated me.
I learned all these mysterious tales; this person slept with this person there, someone took a dump at the entrance and some other girl stood in it and now she had a nickname, someone found needles, another found a homeless woman and she screamed at them. I was pumped for the next weekend. I was going to go see it for myself.
I saw too much.
Early Saturday morning I was riding my push bike through town and toward destination adventure! I started out at the skatepark, met up with a few of the regulars, a mix of 5-19y/o everyone on the half pipes and ramps had a code of comrady that I've never found in a public place anywhere else and you always had someone to hang with.
My usual crew slowly arrived through the morning, a bunch of other 10/11 year old misfits like myself and we headed on our first place on our journey, Hungry Jacks. Now we never technically stole, we found a loophole…
One or two would order a stunner meal, then we'd take privilege of the free refills and fill up the empty plastic 4L juice jugs that we all had prepped in our backpacks. Coke and red Fanta for days.
So we got our supplies and headed behind HJ, past the volleyball courts and headed down a bush track down to the river.
We walked along the banks to loop back down to where the bridge was, we passed a few teenagers fishing and a couple other groups of kids swinging from rope swings into the water or huddled in groups smoking things they shouldn't.
We eventually arrived at the weir and the stormwater drain that I had been so intrigued by. The Love Tunnel.
Climbing up the hill and seeing it up close when you were just a tiny human. It was like staring into the dark abyss of hell.
There was a small stream of water flowing out of the big grey cylinder and it was covered in multicolored quotes and crude pictures that was very eye opening at the time.
Our voices echoed as one by one we climbed up the grassy, eroding clay edging that was the makeshift path into the mouth that probably changed each time it rained. Each of us had pulled out clumps of grass that we thought were handholds. If you fell, you fell down an embankment of slippery jagged rocks poking out from the fast flowing river.
So were inside and began to walk a couple of metres in then around us the light abruptly disappeared into complete darkness. And I remember the way the sounds traveled you could feel it through your chest it was mesmerizing.
I remember bravely stepping into the darkness and taking five or six steps in. That thick darkness was something else, I ran myself back to that entrance and light, heart pounding from the adrenaline.
This turned into a game of who could go in the furthest. This stopped when one of the boys screamed out from the darkness in pain.
He was back in the light teary eyed a few moments later wet on one side and feigning a laugh. He'd slipped down and cut open his knee, it was hilarious. We teased him saying he was going to get gangrene and leprosy and a myriad of other ailments we had no idea actually was.
We decided to bail, we forgot torches, we didn't plan that part out too well, and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon being little menaces.
We met the next day with a game plan, we had an array of various sized torches, from small ones that didn't do anything, one of those giant rectangle ones that was our main light source, a couple of handheld ones, one which flickered and the other stopped working before we even got into the tunnel.
We got in safely and tested out our torches and began walking into the unknown. It was pretty much the same as before, but there were strange things, old makeshift bongs, shopping bags, random shoes, a shopping trolley, a mattress that was all moldy and rotted. I still to this day do not understand how people managed to get that shit in there.

We had a debate whether to go further, we ended up going on at least until the next grate, we came to a fork, one seemed like a smaller offshoot so we stuck to the bigger side.
There were more offshoots and we came to a part where the big pipes split off into three under another grate. We gazed up hoping to get an identifier of our location, but all we could see was blue. We called out to see if we could get anyone's attention.
“Cooooweeee” we shouted in unison, the sound echoing in all directions.
We were laughing and having a grand time until something shouted back, something that still shakes me to my core to this day.
Some yobbo crackhead chick in her fifties with this ratty pink tank top that was all stretched half showing her saggy titties. “What the fuck you think you little cunts doing down here.” This chick screeched at us through her few teeth or something along the lines of that. She just exploded at us with a barrage of threats.
We were shocked silenced moving together to make one mass.
One of the boys screamed when a skinny guy emerged from the darkness. He was covered in tattoos with scraggly hair and a beard, he was all crazy eyed and pantless.
Someone yelled out to run and it was all the motivation we needed.
We could hear them screaming and the guy ran after us, we heard glass shattering behind us, they must have thrown a bottle. We were legging it.
We got split up in our running, I fell down, tripping over some rubbish, one mate stayed back to help me, this left us without a torch. We came across the same kid who slipped over yesterday, he had slipped down again cutting open his other knee. He wore those with badges of honor at school, but he was blubbering like a baby at this point.
He had the flickering torch and it disoriented us more than helped, as it turned on and off every time he took a step. I thought we were lost but we found the other grate, then eventually the entrance.
The others were already climbed down, we were soon by their side panting in the grass and wiping away our tears so the others couldn't see.
We ran back over to the skatepark and immediately told every kid we saw.
That was the wildest shit we had ever experienced. Sure we’d seen crazy up on the street but to have it jump out at you from the shadows in a storm water drain was next level.
By that night one of the other boys had spilled to his parents about our escapades and a couple of other mums got phone calls, three got in trouble, two of us didn't, including me.
I never stepped foot back in that tunnel, I swam at the weir more times than I could count afterwards though and never encountered anyone else too sketchy.
I think only a year or two later I saw on the news people dying in storm water drains somewhere else in Aus, we never realized how dangerous they could be back then. Lol.
Every party or get together afterwards it was a crowd favorite to bring up. It was a good conversation starter and joined the tales amongst my friends of the weird shit that happens in ‘Helltown’.
Growing up and looking back they were probably just homeless drug addicts freaked out from a bunch of children's voices yelling out coooweee from the underground where they thought they were alone. That would have scared the shit outta me if I was them.

Every kid growing up in Gympie in the early 90- 2000s knew about the Love Tunnel.
The love tunnel was located over the hill from the skatepark on the Riverbank. It was a massive storm water drain filled with spray paint and lore unbound throughout the generations; the glowing dick, whose name is the furthest in, the people who live inside, the bull shark that lived under the bridge just outside, all that fun stuff.
It collapsed in the late 2000’s in a flood and was eventually rebuilt, but it was all fancy, modern, safe and not the same. Back in the day it had decades of graffiti, crumbling cement, jagged metal pole framing bent and jutting out from the sides. You know, real character.
I remember when I was just a kid at the skatepark and I spotted a bunch of other kids at the metal grating of a drain. I joined them and gazed down a few metres to some older teenagers, they had trekked through this “love tunnel” under the massive hill all this way. Badass I thought. LEGENDARY.
I talked about it at school, about this mysterious “love tunnel”. It was in view from the road when I crossed the bridge everyday on my daily commutes from the backseat of mums car.
I would gaze down at the weir and see the top of the love tunnel, sliightly hidden from view by a hill. It fascinated me.
I learned all these mysterious tales; this person slept with this person there, someone took a dump at the entrance and some other girl stood in it and now she had a nickname, someone found needles, another found a homeless woman and she screamed at them. I was pumped for the next weekend. I was going to go see it for myself.
I saw too much.
Early Saturday morning I was riding my push bike through town and toward destination adventure! I started out at the skatepark, met up with a few of the regulars, a mix of 5-19y/o everyone on the half pipes and ramps had a code of comrady that I've never found in a public place anywhere else and you always had someone to hang with.
My usual crew slowly arrived through the morning, a bunch of other 10/11 year old misfits like myself and we headed on our first place on our journey, Hungry Jacks. Now we never technically stole, we found a loophole…
One or two would order a stunner meal, then we'd take privilege of the free refills and fill up the empty plastic 4L juice jugs that we all had prepped in our backpacks. Coke and red Fanta for days.
So we got our supplies and headed behind HJ, past the volleyball courts and headed down a bush track down to the river.
We walked along the banks to loop back down to where the bridge was, we passed a few teenagers fishing and a couple other groups of kids swinging from rope swings into the water or huddled in groups smoking things they shouldn't.
We eventually arrived at the weir and the stormwater drain that I had been so intrigued by. The Love Tunnel.
Climbing up the hill and seeing it up close when you were just a tiny human. It was like staring into the dark abyss of hell.
There was a small stream of water flowing out of the big grey cylinder and it was covered in multicolored quotes and crude pictures that was very eye opening at the time.
Our voices echoed as one by one we climbed up the grassy, eroding clay edging that was the makeshift path into the mouth that probably changed each time it rained. Each of us had pulled out clumps of grass that we thought were handholds. If you fell, you fell down an embankment of slippery jagged rocks poking out from the fast flowing river.
So were inside and began to walk a couple of metres in then around us the light abruptly disappeared into complete darkness. And I remember the way the sounds traveled you could feel it through your chest it was mesmerizing.
I remember bravely stepping into the darkness and taking five or six steps in. That thick darkness was something else, I ran myself back to that entrance and light, heart pounding from the adrenaline.
This turned into a game of who could go in the furthest. This stopped when one of the boys screamed out from the darkness in pain.
He was back in the light teary eyed a few moments later wet on one side and feigning a laugh. He'd slipped down and cut open his knee, it was hilarious. We teased him saying he was going to get gangrene and leprosy and a myriad of other ailments we had no idea actually was.
We decided to bail, we forgot torches, we didn't plan that part out too well, and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon being little menaces.
We met the next day with a game plan, we had an array of various sized torches, from small ones that didn't do anything, one of those giant rectangle ones that was our main light source, a couple of handheld ones, one which flickered and the other stopped working before we even got into the tunnel.
We got in safely and tested out our torches and began walking into the unknown. It was pretty much the same as before, but there were strange things, old makeshift bongs, shopping bags, random shoes, a shopping trolley, a mattress that was all moldy and rotted. I still to this day do not understand how people managed to get that shit in there.

Hi! So, I've been shooting with my powershot G16 for almost 10 years. I love it. I've done a lot of different things with it and I've learned a lot.
There is not one things that I shoot the most, I do a little of everything. Always trying new things and techniques. But if I want to chose one topic - it's an everyday camera for me. I mostly shoot my family (kids or larger family meetings), during trips (in cities or in the nature), landscapes, sometimes I like to do time-lapse of several things, from sunsets to clouds to growing plants to me and my kids building LEGO sets or puzzles. But other than that, I also like to shoot the night sky: stars (or astrophotography in general) or lightning (from my home, not while the camera itself is in the rain).
After all this intro.... I think its time for me to jump to more capable cameras. Some years ago my dream cam was the 80D. But I didn't get it. Now that we are in the age of the mirrorless, I'm thinking about the R10 or R7. I know that maybe the R8 would be better at least for the night stuff I do, but since that's not the main things I shoot, I don't think I'll get that one.
Now there is a price deference between the 7 and 10, and of course, many different features that come with it. And I don't know what to do. I know that the R7 is more similar to what I once wanted in the 80D, which is a more advances camera than the 800D then and R10 now. But when looking at the price and the added features, I'm not sure if I really need it. For example: I never used or needed 2 SD cards. Weather sealing is very nice, but most of the time I shoot on dry places. I don't do much wild shooting (I've seen that many use the R7 for birds) or fast sports so the fps in the R10 may be enough. Another point in favor of the R10 is the built in flash which sometimes (not a lot but sometimes) I use in the G16 (I also have an external flash, but sometimes it's not with me).
So I really don't know what to do. I know the R7 it's a better camera overall and I know I won't feel that it limits me for a long time. But I'm not sure if the price difference is worth it.
Regarding lens: right now I will get the 18-150. After some time playing with it, I will see which prime I will want to get next. Because maybe the 50mm will be to long for indoors, so maybe 24/28/35 would be better (and I know there are some sigma lenses in the way).
So if you are still with me after this long post..... what would you recommend me?

I don't know if this is the place to write. I'm 45f and have suffered from severe thanatophobia since I was 9, on and off. The first really bad phase was at 34, after the birth of my second child. I was diagnosed with ppd and put on antidepressants. After about 4 months I felt normal again. Things went well until at 43 I suddenly redeveloped this debilitating fear with anxiety. Again, I was diagnosed with depression, gad, medicated and after 5-6 months felt ok.
Now, in jan, I woke up one morning and the fear was back, worse than ever. The question in my mind was WHO AM I? WHO ARE WE? WHY ARE WE? It's still debilitating, even after more meds and this time also therapy. What makes me post here is I wonder if depression is a misdiagnosis. All 3 major episodes have been preceeded by dreams about death. The theme being Enjoy life while it lasts because soon it will be over and there will be nothing. Only oblivion. This last time, the nights before the dream I had actually been ill with a temperature but gotten through that, only to have 2 nights of extremely odd tingling in my body. Not vibrating but almost.
Throughout these depressions, I have had extreme dpdr - the world feels fake, all objects like shoes, books, clothes or glasses feel fake, life feels fake, my body feels fake, and extreme awareness of my own and everyone else's existence. Why does the world exist? What is beyond space? Will eternity end? Is life on Earth just random and meaningless? Why am I my consciousness in my body, why not someone else? And the worst of my fears, is there anything beyond death? I have had a strange fear of people (I don't usually have that at all), of never being able to know what they experience, what their lives are. Also a fear of places like shopping centres and other big buildings, particularly underground.
I saw an ambulance the other day and my reaction was why are they doing that, "saving" someone's life? That person will die one day anyway. Why bother? Everything is pointless anyway. Why build houses? Write books? Buy clothes? We're all going to die anyway. Oblivion.

Age wise, I'm looking for someone between 27 and 34, preferably. Also, I tend to be a night owl, so I sleep during a good portion of the day, and am up at night, so responses may be slow at times.
To begin, some things about myself:
- I'm here to make a friend or two, that maybe grows into something more. I don't care where you are from, though I am a sucker for an accent that isn't from the US. Realistically, at this point in my life, I'm old and tired, and know that it just doesn't magically happen for some people. I don't expect to fall in love immediately, I just want someone to enjoy my hobbies with together, and theirs in turn. It's 2024, the world is going to shit and back, and I just want to find someone I can click with.
- I'm friendly with pretty much anyone of any ethnicity, creed, chosen identification of gender or the inbretween and so on, unless they give me a reason not to be. That usually happens when they decide to be an ass to anyone I care about or myself, try to shove their ideals down my throat, or are clearly just not a good person (this is subjective, but sometimes you just.. you know, get the feeling someone might skin you and turn you into a lamp).
- I'm non-religious and pretty apolitical. I wasn't raised religious and will never be, but am perfectly fine with people believing in anything they want, as long as those ideals or beliefs aren't enforced on myself. Politics wise, I kind of agree with some things on either side, but mostly just don't care. In my experience, politics ruin relationships, friendships, and so much more, just because people as a whole are stubborn.
- I do NOT have my entire life together, plain and blunt. I was in a relationship for a long time that ended very dramatically and poorly, and all of the plans I had to move and so on were crushed, so I'm still getting my actual life together. I'm over the relationship and have moved on mentally and such, just haven't gotten everything else entirely in line. I can explain more if asked, I won't hide anything at all, as that isn't how things work. This doesn't mean I don't have a job and freeload, it just means I'm not a rich dude who owns his own home and will buy you everything you need. It's 2024, most people are struggling.
- My hobbies are varied, but mostly encompass gaming (PC, no mobile or console anymore), reading novels, listening to audiobooks at work, binging movies/shows/animes, and roleplaying, be it Discord, in a game (I'm an old WoW RP nerd), or D&D. I'm a huge sci-fi and fantasy nerd. I just love writing and telling a story with someone that can match and challenge my own ability to write. I also probably know too much backstory for the smallest of things in many fandoms and universes, and if it's something I don't know, I tend to absorb it quickly if it interests me.
- I'm pretty healthy for the most part. I don't smoke, cigarettes or weed, and while I don't care if people do, I'd prefer if it wasn't your entire lifestyle. Vaping also doesn't bother me as much, but I'd prefer if you just didn't really feel the need to murder your lungs, you know? You need them to keep hanging out with me! I do drink a bit here and there, but I'm far from an achoholic. I grew up with a few bartendresses in my close family, and so I just grew to enjoy a couple cold ones, or a wild and weird mixed drink.
- I'm not the most physically fit person right now. I'm not bound to a scooter and spend all day laboring for each breath, but the last few years have been a bit rough on me with depression and other things. That said, I am in the process of starting to work out again, because I've grown tired of not doing that sort of thing anymore.
