2024.05.14 17:23 Pretty_Housing4190 So confused. Severe brain fog after fermented food+ bloating… but stool and stomach pain improvement (low fodmap, autoimmune disease , histamine intolerance??)

In reintroduction and for sure messed up some stuff (dealing with stress from medical procedures so was more lax with reintroduction / trying not to stress about it on top of receiving some confusing suggestions)… will probably have to restart but also I think I have maybe figured out some stuff by messing up!
Prior to this I have been reacting negatively to every single fodmap group. I also developed stomach pain during reintroduction I never had prior to fodmap diet (yes was following the diet strictly at this time) , that didn’t seem to be correlated with the foods I was reintroducing (for example even a week or more in between reintroducing fodmap groups I would still be experiencing stomach pain). The pain didn’t correlate to my bloating (the initial symptom I had coming into this).
My dietitian suggested that I introduce a pro/pre biotic to see if this would help me. I emailed monash and they suggested to wait until after reintroduction.
As a result I thought would be good idea to start with low fodmap amounts of things like Sourkrout. I found two low Fodmap fermented foods in Whole Foods (one with green cabbage that didn’t have garlic or onion and one was beet krout which just had carrot, beet, and red cabbage). I was fine with the green cabbage one… but unclear if it caused me bloating or not but then I had an extreme reaction to the beet krout. I realized I was having a good amount of Avacado (in low formaps amounts) and papaya and upon researching am suspecting a potential histamine intolerance given the combination of these things might lead to histamine overload.
What is so confusing is that since adding in the fermented foods my stool improved drastically and my stomach pain hasn’t been present for over a week (no changes in things like caffeine intake, fiber intake etc).
Anyone have a similar experience??
I have a feeling I need to trial low histamine diet but I’m also confused by these conflicting effects . The brain fog is truly debilitating (feels like I took a bunch of drugs and I’m in a video game… not helpful for my job). I have been experiencing the brain fog intermittently for the past year or so and it does seem to be related to what I’m eating . I also have a condition (MS) that can effect things like this but my Ms specialists believe my food intolerances are a big driver is these symptoms.
I also noticed that I have dry spot on my two fingers/ knuckles that began around the time of my gut dysbiosis (at least a year or two ago). This also aligns with histamine intolerance and does not align with ms.
Fodmap seems to help with the bloat but not everything
If anyone has experienced anything of this nature please let me know! Any resources are welcomed to

2024.05.13 17:46 Sea-Ad858 Autoimmune / gi issues / brain fog potential histamine intolerance lHELP

Two years ago: nausea for a full month after an infection… then on and off for the following 5 months
One year ago:(sig bloat never before, increased fatigue, still experiencing this but nausea is gone )
7 months ago: diagnosed with multiple sclerosis due to loss of eye vision
the same two fingers / knuckles for the past year have been super dry on and off (lotion Dosent help and happens in cold and warm weather)
BRAIN FOG seems to be correlated to what I’m eating but it’s so hard to track. Different from fatigue, feels like in video game hard to think will wake up with it and will last for about a day.
Been low fodmap for 3 months, in reintroduction but hard to track symptoms. Gluten and dairy free for maybe 6 months. Neg sibo test I think need to retest at some point.
Added in fermented foods and eating more Avacado and my brain fog has BEEN HORRIBLE like I’m in a dream but I’m awake and I feel like it’s connected to what I’m eating but can’t figure out what. other things have eaten : papaya , plantain, avacado etc
My questions
  1. Bloating and brain fog a symptom for anybody?
  2. HOW DID YOU GET TESTED FOR HISTAMINE INTOLERANCE? And what doctor was able to do this . I am thinking of requesting my pcp or gi to order me testing but not sure if they are able to. I have been waiting to meet with allergist for 4 months my appointment isn’t until September. Is the testing even necessary or accurate asking bc I know food allergy testing accuracy is mixed ??
And how do I eat low histamine?? . I am working with a dietitian but while I wait for her response would like to trail low histamine diet any resources would greatly appreciate .

2024.05.10 16:05 dankbob_memepants_ Legal advice request: Suing “papaya” stores for false advertising

I (29M) am still shaken from my experience and would appreciate some advice.
For background, I’m an aspiring celebrity chef. I planned to prepare a simple boppayakaya kura when I found I was all out of papaya. I searched for a local papaya store in Chelsea (I really live in Meatpacking, but that name gives me the ick), and I found an establishment called Chelsea Papaya. My chauffeur was too busy with his hospitalized infant, so I Ubered (Uber Black) to this supposed specialty papaya market.
I arrived at a filthy hovel filled with brokeys. I thought Mohammed had the wrong address, but it was correct. Clutching my protective stun gun in my pocket, I entered. All I saw on the menu was fast food. I asked the Mexican? behind the counter for papaya. “Yes, this is papaya.” “No,” I said, “this is rat food.” “You want burger? Pizza? What you want?” I’m not one for games, so I left.
I Ubered (Black ofc) to the next closest papaya store called Papaya Dog. They must sell both. Despite being in the Greenwich Village Safety Zone, this place, too, was nothing but a miserable heap of poors and junk food. I asked the Mexican at the counter for papaya, and he replied with “dog?” “Do I look Asian?” Then an older African American touched me saying “Racist motherfu-“ I tased him in self defense and ran to Washington Square Park before Uber Blacking back home.
Have any of you been scammed by so-called papaya stores in NYC? They must be fronts where the poors get all their drugs. You’d think they don’t even sell papaya at all! What sort of legal action can I pursue? Also, please recommend me some REAL papaya stores.

2024.05.09 02:13 NJP-CogitoEonPardon F1LOTW Ep. 6 (Miami) - 65 SECONDS OF PENALTIES HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!?

I never knew that a grand prix on a parking lot would deliver us so much joy, let the papaya-colored champagne flow. I also failed to come up with any Dolphins jokes, which I wanted to do as the circuit weaved its way around Hard-Rock Stadium, but I did find one wild thing from this weekend: Kevin Magnussen's 65-seconds of time penalties.
Seriously, does any football player earn that many penalties in yardage in a single game!?
For some of his penalties, these were actions that the Danish Haas driver did during this very season: defending teammate Nico Hulkenburg's points-paying position, in this case, the sprint. To keep Hamilton behind him, and thus ensuring that he would not catch Hulk in time, he resorted to tactics such as leaving the track, to such an extend that he was summoned to the stewards for unsportsmanlike behavior. That was only Saturday.
During the main race on Sunday, he continued this penalty spree, a collision to send Seargent out of the ra--seriously, there might be some disagreements over who was at fault but it was basically the American's home race!--and not having the tires changed while stoping to change front wings during the SC period caused by the collision, an infraction committed by the teamm----jeez (I'm trying to hold laughter back).
You know, this is why you can't, in this case, give Lolcow of the Week to a particular driver or entity, it has to be the situation that was key. A combination of K-Mag, Haas, and even the incentive to race almost too hard that is created by the FIA's checkered standards of race officiating and its penalty system. 65 seconds speaks for itself, and so does Magnussen's doubling of his superlicense penalty points to 10! He's now two points away from an automatic race ban, two points that can easily be given out in one particular incident. And the worst part is, those he already has don't go away until March!
Geez, Haas, you might be worthy of a Tree-style 'Conglaturation' video at some point!
The next race is in Imola! Our first European GP of the season. Until next time!

2024.05.07 15:09 SetRight5602 Fallout 76 Optimization

To preface this post, I know that 76 is built on an old engine and wont run like a game getting released today. I just want to try and make it a little better
I starting playing about a day or two ago and I consistently pull only like 40-50 frames regardless of my graphics settings. I installed a file and put it into my game folder, which my friend said should help optimize the game, and nothing happened. I set my frame limit in Nvidia control panel, optimized it in geforce experience and still nothing. I can play the game on any graphics settings and the fram rate does not change. For reference I’m using a 1660 Super and an 11700k with 16gb of ram

https://www.dn.se/varlden/rysk-desinformation-infor-eu-valet-kan-paverka-pa-slagfaltet-i-ukraina/
Men texterna verkar maskinöversatta, säger Åsa Larsson.
