2024.05.16 17:09 YoghurtAvailable4583 Should I get a business loan or another business cc?

I’m starting a small business in June and need $15k to get started. I applied for a business credit card through US Bank with no interest for the first 12 months, but only got approved for $3k. I have good personal credit (~740) and applied for the business card and a personal card in the last month.
Should I try to get another cc with no interest or just try to get a small business loan with low APR from a local credit union or through a service like LendingTree?
Are there banks you would suggest to get a cc through with higher limits and no interest for the first 12 months, where I’d be likely to get approved?

2024.05.16 17:04 amit78523 Is msr necessary for service record?

I am planning to buy new Baleno. I will place order on coming Sunday or Monday. I visited 2 dealers and both of them mentioned "MSR" in the price breakup. Cost is only 885 rupees but is it necessary? They told me that company has stopped giving book which used to contain service records.
From the experience of credit cards, i know that reward point won't be worth it. So is MSR really necessary or they are trying to sell it by lying?
Another question, what is the process of booking? I don't want to buy basic kit from them and i want to negotiate insurance price. Should i do it while booking or on the day of delivery?
Another question, i have lost form 16 of my last year, how can i get that? Is is available on income tax department webpage?
Another question, after market accessories (nothing electronic) would void my warranty and extended warranty?
Edit: i am planning to install an aftermarket fog lamp. Effect on warranty?

2024.05.16 17:03 outspokenchameleon 22YO debating travel credit cards

22 year old with no airline loyalty debating new travel credit card
I am currently 22 living with my fiancé, bachelors degree, and work full time making $50k a year, $95k combined.
I recently paid off all my credit card debt and my car loan and saw my score soar like 40 points, so now I always pay off my card. My current daily card is the Chase Freedom Unlimited, and I am fine with continuing the use of my current card but I wanted to see if there was anything with better benefits out there. I travel 2-3x a year domestically, my home airport is STL and occasionally ORD, so while lounge access would be nice, I’m quite limited. I am traveling to Wuripe for a month later this summer and would like a card with no foreign fees. I’m planning my next international trip in early 2025.
Discover It Student CL - $4000
Capital One Walmart Rewards CL: $750
Chase Freedom Unlimited CL: $5500
FICO Score: 735
Oldest account age: 5 years 6 months
Chase 5/24 status: 2/24
Income: e.g. $48k alone, $95k combined with fiancé
Average monthly spend and categories:
dining $300
groceries: $350
gas: $0
travel: $0
other: $650
Open to Business Cards: No
What's the purpose of your next card? Travel, cash back, no foreign fees
Do you have any cards you've been looking at? CapitalOne Venture X
Are you OK with category spending or do you want a general spending card? I exclusively use my credit card and put all expenses minus rent on it.

Sure AF not going to participate in this myself but plenty of the younger generation love not carrying cash or any cards but rather just scan their phones.
Imagine linking all your credit cards, bank accounts, PayPal, etc all under one single umbrella. Ease of access/control to either be hacked or locked out.

2024.05.16 17:02 EstablishmentDry4476 Refunds missing since 21 April

Dear kucoin Team,
Sorry to raise this issue publicly but since a lot of people are facing the same situation I decided to write this post. I am reaching out to my network and the broader community regarding an ongoing issue with my Kucard debit credit card, which is operated by KuCoin. I have been waiting for longer than a month for several refunds which have been issued on my Kucard. I have sent out multiple emails towards customer support showing proof that the refunds have been issued. However, I keep getting the same generic response from them. I understand that you have a lot of tickets, but the ones regarding the refunds should be sorted easily, since I used to work in a similar department. The total sum of these refunds are approximately 3.350 EUROS.
Despite numerous attempts to resolve this matter through their customer support channels, I have yet to receive my refunds. This situation has caused significant inconvenience and financial distress.
I am publicly requesting KuCoin to address and resolve this issue promptly. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. The tickets are (3933539) and (3959721).
kind regards

2024.05.16 16:59 Nehumex Facebook payments keep failing

Hi everyone, I'm facing an issue with my Facebook ad account. Despite multiple attempts, my credit card company hasn't received any charge requests from Facebook, even though Facebook shows the payments as declined. Meta's support has put my account under review for compliance, but I need this resolved urgently to continue advertising. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice on how to proceed?

2024.05.16 16:56 spicygay21 Why do credit card terms have a separate notice for married wisconsin residents?

Every credit card's pricing information includes a separate section titled "Notice to Married Wisconsin Residents" and it sometimes says something about needing to notify your spouse you're opening a card. Is this about a law unique to wisconsin about notifying, or is this a california situation where it's only on the card information because wisconsin has a law that this needs to be disclosed?

2024.05.16 16:55 mhur27 How do store managers do it?

Hi all! Calling all retail managers here. A little background: I’m 25 and have extensive experience in retail management. My goal is to become a store manager at some point, but I’ll be honest, I don’t know if I’m cut out for that. The job seems so exhausting, and my job already exhausts me now. I feel like I don’t have the personality to be in that position because I’m not as assertive or focused with hitting credit card and sales goals like I’ve seen with other SMs. I have passion for getting things done, just less on the sales side of the business and more operations. It just sucks because I just started this job and I already feel like I shouldn’t be in this position. I know they really like me and believe in me, but I’m not that excited about it. I’m trying so hard to be but I can’t help but have a little voice tell me that it’s not a good fit and that I’ll crash and burn eventually. I’m staying because I don’t want to let people down and see if I can do this against my gut feeling. Are there even other management positions out there that are not focused on sales? I just feel like I don’t care enough about goals and I feel like an imposter. But sometimes I wonder if maybe other store managers in the past were like me but then eventually they got paid care or developed a tolerance to the business over time. Either way it’s scary because I don’t have a degree, I’m thinking of going back to school for future job security.
TLDR; What does it take to be a store manager and what are qualities you need to have to be successful? I worry I’m not retail SM material.

2024.05.16 16:54 Previous-Ratio Bank of America Travel Rewards Card vs the Apple Card

I 23F am trying to decide on the right card for me. I need one with no foreign transaction fees, which both of these don’t have. I will be going to Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong and will use this card there.
I like how the Apple Card you get 2% cash back with every purchase with ApplePay. Truthfully everywhere I go I only ever use Apple Pay unless they don’t allow it, so this would be convenient. I also like how it works from your Apple Wallet and you can see all your data, including a warning when you’re going to get interest.
The BoA Travels card has a 25,000 point sign on bonus after spending $1,000 which is nice. The AppleCard doesn’t have anything like that. It also gives 1.5 points on every dollar spent on purchases. My only thing is how do these points really work? Are you limited in travel or dining options? The 25,000 point sign on bonus is said to be like a $250 credit. Is that worth it?
Right now I only have one credit card and I opened it up fairly recently. It’s a Disney Chase. I don’t make much and I’m mostly in school. Tried to apply for WF Autograph and didn’t get it
I’d appreciate can’t help!

After beating the game and recruiting all characters, I can confidently express say that Eiyuden Chronicle is a commendable successor to Suikoden, capturing its essence beautifully. It’s been a while since I’ve dedicated over 100 hours to a JRPG—the last being Xenoblade. I’d like to offer some detailed feedback on what I found to be the best and worst aspects of this game. I played it on PC xbox game pass:

2024.05.16 16:54 silverstone710 Planning for the future

I am 30M and recently migrated to Canada (about 3 years ago). I completed my MBA about a year ago and have been working with the big 5 bank in Toronto and making $85k (without bonus) annually.
As I am quite new to Canada and the investing market in Canada, I wanted to get a handle on my finances as I am looking to make the best of my time here.
My take home income biweekly is $2.3k (after RRSP contribution to the employee managed RRSP funds).

Expenses:
Rent: Currently $2.3k
Utilities: $150
Telephone: $40
Transport to work: $150 approx
Groceries: $400
Misc expenses and entertainment: $500

I make about $2k in random side gigs throughout the year and I am looking to capitalize on another side gig which would start soon and I am hoping it would net me an additional $2-3k a month.

I also contribute monthly $100 to my TFSA through pre-authorized contributions to a mix of US, Canadian Equity markets and the balanced portfolio offerings with RBC.

I have no debt at the moment except a large purchase which I am paying off in monthly instalments ($381 monthly) and would be completed in October hopefully. Except that all my credit cards are paid off in full.

Apart from that, I have about $9.3k in TFSA, $4K in a regular savings account (not sure if its HISA) and approx $4k in RRSP. I also have approximately $100k in savings outside Canada which I made before making the move to Canada.

I know my rent is high and I am moving in with roommates in July so that would bring my rent and utilities down to approximately $1.25k

I am looking for guidance on the following:

  1. Can I afford a car with $250 bi-weekly payments?
  2. How can I maximize my savings? Do I max out my TFSA or max my RRSP contributions (after I move places)?

Thank you

2024.05.16 16:53 xRidd1er Not Sure Why I can’t Get A Larger Limit

Hi,
For the last year or two I have tried to increase the limit of my CC’s or get a card with larger limit. However it seems like I am only ever approved for a $1000-$1500 limit. For the life of me I can’t understand why I do not receive larger limits. I know people in similar financial situations that have limits of $10k-$20k.
I used to have bad credit in the high 500s about 10 years ago. 7 years ago I worked hard to pay debts and increase my credit score to what is now(around 760). I utilize 70-80% of my cc every month then pay it all off. My credit score increased this way but not my limit.
I make $75k a year and just bought a home at age 34. I would like to have a much larger limit for any unforeseen expenses or emergencies that may come with owning home. I don’t get why I don’t get approved for more when I believe I have done everything right.

2024.05.16 16:48 The_Overthinker_1023 Why don't guys actually give a damn?

So my ex a month back asked for some money(not a significant amount). He had his credit cards and other friends or his family to ask to but asked me. I saw it after a few hours but asked him if he still needs it and I transfered the money to his account.
Almost many weeks later, when it was the month end and I am broke, I asked him I could have the money back. He knows I wouldn't ask him until absolutely necessary. He also knows my mum is super strict about money and being independent(so I can't go running to her either).
He just dismissed me by asking me to use his credit card number. I needed the money in account for my daily bills where I can't use a card! He could have used his card for his work too(which I probably believe is for partying) but he wanted cash in his account.
His reply was so horrible, I didn't even explain the situation. I didn't use his card, if I was in his place, the least I would ask was,"hey, is your issue sorted? You didn't use my card?".
Nope nothing of that sort. Why are guys so inconsiderate?

2024.05.16 16:47 pixels-and-paper May 19th Norfolk VA show moved to The Norva

FYI - Just wanted to let anyone know that is attending the Norfolk show this Sunday that it moved from Chartway Arena to The Norva. I just happened to notice when I was looking up what time doors open and VIP parking time. Kind of concerning I didn't get an email to let me know. But I did call Chartway and they said the Chartway tickets will work at the Norva and the VIP parking got refunded (i hadn't noticed this either until I just checked my credit card account when I was informed).
At least it's only a 10 minute drive if I showed up to the wrong location but just wanted to let people know!!
