a 27 year old male living in the uk. My mental health hasn’t been great the last 10 years, and it has got significantly worse in the last two years. I have always had severe anxiety and depression. Although never diagnosed. All my life, I have been very insecure about who I was. I believe I am dumb, ugly, unlovable and unworthy. As a result I never really made an effort with anything. I never had any dreams or aspirations. I never dated or formed quality friendships. I don’t even have a career. I am a working a dead end warehouse job and I don’t see a positive future for myself.
Growing up I did poorly at school and never really excelled at anything. I could never find something I was good at and always felt incompetent. I have issues managing stress and every task overwhelms me.
I have self image issues and hate the way I look. I hate going out in public especially in the summer due to body issues. I am slim and struggle to gain weight. I also started balding very young and had severe acne growing up. I have blown thousands on fixing my appearance. Skin treatments, personal trainers, new clothes and eyebrow grooming. I have nothing to offer I might as well be pretty lol. 0 savingsa and now money issues. Tbh I still feel crap about my looks. Money wasted I guess…
To make matters worse, I have a speech impediment (stammer) that makes speaking incredibly difficult. I am so ashamed of my stammer that I hardly talk, and as a result have no friends or close connections. I feel so lonely. I never dated or had any romance. I am a closeted gay from religious Muslim family. I didn’t come to terms with my sexuality till age 22. I want to experience love. I honestly feel like I missed out. I am nearly 30 and it feels as if I will never meet anyone. Every guy I talk to I push them away, because I don’t feel good enough. I have hurt so many guys by ghosting them or blocking. I feel too ugly, dumb and unaccomplished in life. Who wants to date some loser 27 year old? With a stutter, no proper career and 0 friends.
Sad reality is I put myself here. My actions and decisions in life lead me here. I was weak and I allowed life to fuck me up. I have missed out on so much living. From age 16 to now it’s like I have been dead. Just a walking flesh. I pity my parents for having a son like me. But I resent them for just watching me become a car wreck. I don’t know if I have autism or adhd. Something is wrong with me. I have always felt different. I struggle with focusing on everything. Today I broke down in tears in my room. I feel anger, bitter and broken. I hate myself tbh. I have no purpose. I have reached my breaking point. Rock bottom. 27 years of rubbish. I don’t think I will ever be happy. I am not 18 or 21 it’s too late for me to get my life together. I can’t sleep at night and wake up with panic attacks because of how life has turned out. I am in between undergrad and graduate school this summer and with no internship, I’m looking to learn more about supersonic flow. I had a course specifically on compressible flow so I know a little bit more that the basics, but a topic we did not cover was shockwave/expansion fan interactions. My partner is exploring an autism diagnosis and we've been chatting to his mum about his childhood. There's some expected things like delayed speech and food sensitivities, but there's an anecdote she told that's stuck with me.
She said that my partner X always struggled with feeling he'd done something wrong, particularly at school. So if a teacher told off the whole class, even if he'd done nothing wrong this would really upset him. This makes sense to me as a sense of justice thing, but that part that got to me was that he would leave the classroom at around 8 years old, and go to the bathroom. The teachers became aware of this pattern and followed him, and decided to leave him be, and chat to him when he came out.
As a neurotypical I felt this was leaving a child to deal with difficult emotions with no support or guidance, and made me feel really sad for little X. I'm just wondering if you agree or think that autistic children benefit from a different response here?
My partner states he remembers really not wanting people to see him cry so really not wanting a fuss made in the classroom, so there's a gendered element here. To my mind, fair enough let him go outside, but I feel he should have been offered support 1:1 to get through this.

I am a 34 year old man with a lisp. It was never something my schools or my parents were every concerned with correcting. Yesterday, I found out an acquaintance of mine is a speech therapist, and she said I have a lateral lisp. It's not a huge nuisance, but I am an English teacher and it'd be helpful if I could fix it. The office where I go for therapy happens to speech therapy for English speakers. I would like to know, though:

1. Is this possible to fix as an adult?
2. How many sessions does it normally take?

The first 3 yrs of life is the most rapid development of the brain. Had C been involved in intensive therapy he would be much more advanced at this point. G was failed as a child but that makes most mother's want to provide the opposite! Yet C thankfully will be in school soon which is going to be a blessing for him and a thorn in her back side! C will get attention, education, structure, affection, socialization and much more! School will provide him interventions he needs but they will expect G/A to participate. The things that most of us do without thought they will have to now do! C will need to arrive at school on time. He will need to be in clean clothing and showered. He will need to be alert and awake at 8:00 a.m. He will need to have his papers filled out and signed and placed in a backpack everyday. Occasionally a project such as a family tree will need to be completed and turned in. I hope C is given to the the most seasoned teacher who has a zero tolerance for games. The school will instantly ask where or why he's not been in any program for along time..? They will ask who he is going to for his pediatrician and his vaccination records. They will want to know where is is seen for psychiatric care. Most importantly they will want the past evaluations for autism and all other evaluations. A IEP meeting will take place with a school counselor, a county therapist/psychiatrist, a teacher, a physical therapist and a OT and speech therapist! Buckle up G. Public school has federal guidelines they must meet and they must provide services to children in need! Most of us love these things because it gets our children all of the intervention and therapies they need to make them thrive! I suspect that G/A will struggle with all of the questioning and "meddling" they will do.. 🤣 What's y'all's thoughts on when he starts school? I think 🤔 her neglect will be evident to all of the professionals.

Nadi – Like Ashwini, Purva Bhadrapada's nadi dosha is Aadi nadi and is related to Vaata, indicating flow of energyt from top to bottom. This nadi dosha can lead to problems with anxiety, controversy, divorce, and matters related to children.

Overall Auspicious activities – Purva Bahdrapada is good for activities that are difficult or impossible to reverse, such as argument, violent or destructive tasks, meat selling, battles, legal proceedings, weapons handling, aggressive behavior, risky activities and investments, endings and completions, dealing with death-related matters like funerals, removal of obstacles, terminating relationships, demolitions, handling waste, rituals to remove obstacles, occult practices, meditation, group ceremonies, technology-related tasks, and agricultural matters.

Overall Inauspicious activities – Purva Bhadrapada is not good for activities that require stability and peace, such as travelling, sexual intercourse, marriage ceremonies, negotiations, reconciliations, initiating things, establishing new relationships, beginning journeys, farming or gardening, creative endeavors, childbirth, religious ceremonies focused on positivity, dealing with authority, and generally any activity requiring patience or a gentle hand.

Capacity – Purva Bhadrapada is Ugra, meaning fierce or intense. Ugra nakshatras are characterized by their aggressive and forceful nature. The energy of Purva Bhadrapada can be both destructive and transformative. This nakshatra is associated with breaking down old structures to make way for new growth. Ugra nakshatras are suitable for activities requiring fire, destruction, excessive force, and challenging enemies. They are also support activities such as tantric practices, shamanistic rituals, and other forms of deep spiritual work, with Purva Bhadrapada having the most power to cause transformations overall.

Professions – Purva Bhadrapada is associated with careers such as business administration, occupations related to death, medicine and healing (especially those related to death or geriatrics), psychology and psychiatry careers (especially those relating to asylums or loss of mental faculties like insanity or cognitive degeneration), research jobs, teaching and higher education, visionary or fanatical work like a social rights activism or terrorism, occultism and black magic, the darker side of the government/ruling elite, the darker side of the entertainment industry like pornography or scandals, weapon makers and users, soldiers and homicide forces, dark technologies, religious ascetics and monks, metal industry jobs, occupations related to the use of fire, enemies and protectors of the environment, jobs related to pharmaceuticals, and occupations that require total secrecy like illegal activities and those that require high standing for authorization. As a personal observation, I also tend to see them quite a bit in the entertainment industry as creative artists of music, media, and fashion. Their creations are usually quite popular, even though they can be a bit more dark.


Tattva – Purva Bhadrapada's overall tattva is Akasha (Ether), but is it also closely linked to Agni or fire. Akasha represents the vast, boundless nature of space. With this being the predominant Tattva, natives of this nakshatra have a tendency to look beyond the immediate or the mundane, choosing to look for the truth of reality themselves. As the element of Ether is associated with the vastness of the cosmos and the unseen realms, Purva Bhadrapada natives often have strong spiritual and mystical inclinations. They may be drawn to esoteric knowledge, occult practices, and metaphysical exploration. Connecting with sound, Ether is also the element communication. This is not practical communication though; it is more spiritual and implicit communication, where the knowledge of the universe is echoed through everything. When in harmony, Vaata will provide creativity and enthusiasm, flexibility and adaptability, clear and agile thinking, healthy digestion and regular elimination, sound sleep, stable energy levels throughout the day, an overall sense of well-being and vitality, a lean physique with proportionate features, graceful movements, a healthy and clear complexion, strong and flexible joints and muscles, normal and healthy body temperature and circulation. When out of balance, the effect of Vaata can lead to anxiety, nervousness, uncontrollable restlessness, insomnia and disturbed sleep, digestive issues, dry as well as rough/cracked skin, fatigue/inconsistent energy levels, joint stiffness or pain, forgetfulness and difficulty concentrating, irregular appetite, emotional instability, sensitivity to the cold or windy weather, weight loss, brittle hair and nails, excessive movement or hyper speech, confusion, fear, tremors, and weakening muscles.

Shakti – The Yajamana Udyamana Shakti of Purva Bhadrapada manifests as a dual force, intertwining the energies of sacrifice and grand endeavors to uplift society. On one hand, this Shakti empowers individuals to engage in acts of selfless sacrifice, dedicating themselves to the betterment of society and the advancement of spiritual growth. Their willingness to make personal sacrifices for the greater good serves as a beacon of inspiration, illuminating the path towards collective upliftment and enlightenment. First and foremost I want to say that I actually like Rachel as a character. The worst thing a character can be is boring and Rachel Berry is anything but boring. This is more of a critique of the show written around her. I saw an old post about how past season 1, Rachel (and Finn but to a lesser extent) don’t work as pov protagonists. With the show as written, I agree. But while that post came at the subject from a psychological perspective, I'm coming at it from a writing perspective. And to do so, I'm going to be comparing Rachel to another Fox show’s main character who I feel is the same archetype as Rachel but written much better, Malcolm from Malcolm in the Middle. They are both gifted, driven and have an ego the size of canada. But the reason why I root for Malcolm while I get annoyed by Rachel is because of what the respective shows ask us to do: Glee asks us to root for Rachel while Malcolm in the Middle asks us to watch Malcom try to survive his crazy family.
Season 1 Rachel is the best for her character. We see and are constantly reminded how she is treated by the popular kids, how she is barely tolerated by her fellow glee clubbers and most importantly she is allowed to just be unlikeable. Which she is. Past season 1 they take that all away from her. She’s still unlikeable but it’s framed to be endearing. Besides Santana and sometimes Brittany, she isn’t treated badly by the club. And from what I remember, the bullying from outside of the club stops for her. The show still asks us to root for her but she has no real obstacles for the remaining 5 seasons, no obstacles that last more than a handful of episodes. Scare off a new recruit, completely forgotten by next episode. She chokes at a college audition, she gets another shot and gets in. She throws away her dream job that she dropped out of college for to pursue a tv career that fails, six episodes later she is offered another broadway role and accepted back into college. There is nothing to root for because we know Rachel will get her way in the end. Now I will give them some credit for the pezberry feud. How that started in “frenemies”, they framed Rachel as in the wrong but once again a few episodes later, we’re supposed to side with her?
Now I don’t know how many of you have watched Malcolm in the Middle so I’m going to give you the overall premise: the everyday adventures of Malcolm, who is a genius, navigating life with his very dysfunctional working class family. Now from the very beginning we are never really asked to feel sorry or root for him, we’re just asked to be along for the ride. And the ride is him or his family getting in his way. Why I feel like this works for this show is that the writers know that Malcolm is the protagonist, not the hero. Malcolm is petty, egotistical, shallow, selfish and despite being a genius, never listens. The vast majority of episodes end with him losing or at best coming out neutral. Either a kid from school will get the best of him, he’ll just fuck it up for himself or a family member will out smart him (more on one particular member latter).
So why does one show get it right and the other wrong? There could be a few reasons. First and foremost, glee was originally a movie that was stretched into half a season of tv. They kept it interesting for the second half of season 1 when it came to Rachels character but past that, there isn’t much for her to do besides succeed. And I don't care even if your character is the most likable person on the planet, which she most definitely is not, your character has to take real L’s (which you can do since glee is largely episodic within any given season). But i think the main reason is the writers didn’t know what character they were writing. When the character Quinn comes up, I routinely hear how the writers wanted her to be an unlikeable, evil person but Dianna brought humanity to her and ruined her. I don’t think that's the case, no shade to Dianna as she killed it as Quinn but any actress worth their salt would have done the same thing. Quinn is a very human character as written. I think the writers had an idea in their head for their characters but refused to let those ideas grow along with the show so we got clashes between what the story was trying to tell us vs what the characters were doing and no character suffered the most from this than Rachel. I feel they were going for an Annie from Community or Lesley Knope from Parks and Rec type character. There is a lot of overlap between those three characters but what Rachel doesn’t have that the other two do is an underlying understanding that people matter more than your talent.
Now I didn't write this just to bitch about Rachel, I also want to offer solutions. But seeing as glee has ended a while ago, these solutions won’t do much to help the show but it might help another writer not fall into these pitfalls. The easiest would be to just make the show about the glee club instead of Rachel and Finn featuring the glee club. A lot of the problems with these characters come from overexposure. But if you insist on Rachel being the lead, you could have her actually lose and it sticks. At the end of season 3 it would have been so much more interesting if they switched Finns and Rachel's stories. Rachel sacrificed everything for her dreams, what would she do if she didn’t get into NAYDA and had no path to stardom? The solution I fall on the most is giving her an antagonist, maybe multiple. I always thought it would be fun to have her feud with a different member of the unholy trinity for the first 3 seasons. She needs actual obstacles to overcome and they would provide unique challenges to her. One of the reasons Malcolm works is because he has an antagonist that gets the best of him 90% of the time, his mom Louis. Louis may not be as book smart as Malcolm but she routinely out smarts not just him but also his brothers. She comes out on top so often that you can’t help but root for Malcolm to win at least every once in a while against her. But it also works because she loves him and is trying to do what's best for him. Slight spoiler for the series finale of Malcolm in the middle, a show that ended over a decade ago. After making him turn down a job that would have had him living a life of luxury, he is pissed at her. After a ton of bs (literally) he asked her why she did it. She goes into a speech about her goals for his life and how he needs to finally realize that being the smartest person in the room isn’t the most important thing in life. It was perfect. At some point during the show, someone should have given a similar speech to Rachel. Imagen how impactful it would have been during episode 100 if Finn (had tragedy not struck) sided with Santana during the feud and told Rachel she needed to grow up and realize that being the most talented person doesn’t mean anything if no one likes you or something to that effect. But anyway these are my thoughts on the writing for Rachel. Feedback and discussion is welcome.

I can't decide saan dapat ako mag-aral for senior high. Me and my friend want a school na may good facilities and events.
Sa current school ko kasi, focused sila sa academics and kaunti lang ang mga events pero I must admit they do have a great education system. But the thing is, I don't see myself growing as a student in this school. What I'm saying is I will never shine kung sila sila pa rin (my classmates) ang makakasama for the next two years.
We already have schools in mind but we don't know which is the best.
School #1 is a semi-private catholic school. PROS: • Affordable ✅ • Events✅ • Facilities ✅ • Educ System ✅ • Malapit lang ✅ CONS: • Walang STEM na strand ❌
-Okay naman, affordable, ayos din ang mga events. Okay lang din ang facilities pero hindi ka-level ng ibang schools. Ang kaso, walang STEM na strand sa kanila. HUMSS, ABM, and GAS lang ang available. Goods naman kami sa HUMSS at ABM kaya lang we think na mas maraming opportunities kung mag-STEM kami.
School #2 is a private school as well. PROS: • Facilities ✅ • Events ✅ • Educ System ✅ • Malapit lang ✅
CONS: • Not Affordable ❌
-Maganda ang facility, madaming events, and mukha namang okay ang educ system (not really sure, though). Yun lang, ang mahal ng TF. Aabutin ng 1.6k-2.2k per month (x10), hindi pa kasali ang DP. May uniforms, books, at events pang babayaran. At risk pa ang matatanggap naming scholarship kasi we have to maintain 88% grade para magtuloy-tuloy ang scholarship.

I’m almost done with school (only less than 2 months left) and throughout my undergrad I didn’t really do anything to build up myself for grad school, only some volunteering related to the field here and there, and completing a speech sciences cert.
I know that to apply to slp grad school I’ll probably need some experience in research but I’ve never joined any of the labs at my university. Is it too late for everything now or will I be able to do some research before I enrol into grad school? I don’t plan on applying to grad school immediately anyway since I’ll still have to go back to school to complete some prerequisites, and to sort of take a break and plan things out, but will I be able to do research as a post baccalaureate (or post undergrad) student?
Any info or advice would be appreciated!

By NPCs, I'm referring to the nameless NPCs who walk around the school and villages. They all look so generic. Same sets of faces and hairstyles. It really takes me out of the game seeing multiple groups of twins walking around. Are there any mods that improve them? I've installed a diverse uniforms mod which helps but it doesn't fix how artificial the NPCs look.

The guidelines regarding makeup, haircut, and complete uniform attire are undeniably strict. However, it's important to acknowledge the significance of sticking to these rules in maintaining a disciplined environment within the school premises. The emphasis on a well-groomed appearance reflects the school's commitment to introduce a sense of professionalism and discipline among its students. It also prepares them for future workplaces where similar standards are often expected. Despite the strict regulations, one cannot overlook the amiable nature of the people within the school community. while the rules may seem hard, they serve as a foundation for cultivating a structured learning environment while nurturing personal relationships among the students.

Well, last week, I was chosen for the largest scholarship my college offers ($10,000 for any school of my choosing for my bachelor's), and I’m freaking out in a bad way.
I go to an in-person college but take all of my classes online due to my extreme anxiety. I have a 4.0, am head of the newspaper, volunteer to several local organizations, and am second in command at my company, all from the comfort of my bed/couch and laptop.
I am so uncomfortable receiving this acknowledgment. I don’t feel like I deserve it; I feel like a fraud. I have never been recognized for anything. Now they’re telling me I have to record a video to share with the committee telling them about myself, get headshots, attend meetings and conferences, and perform a 2-3 minute speech at the ceremony. That is so not me. I don’t like people looking at me. I don’t even go to the grocery store - I make my husband go, or I order pickup!
What do I do? Do I turn down the scholarship because there’s no way in hell I can do what they’re asking of me? But I could really use the money. This is making me not even want to continue my education. I don’t want this attention. It’s making me so overwhelmed and uncomfortable. I wish I could just be normal and grateful like anyone else would be in this situation, but I just can’t.

For those who haven't been following along the countless Trump lawsuits, in the NY "I paid to cover up having sex with a porn star" lawsuit, the judge issued a gag order preventing Trump from being himself and saying his usual unhinged shit about jurors and the family members of the judge/court staff/etc.
Good Lawgic, who regularly covers this kind of shit, must have finally saw an opportunity to make a buck "practicing law" because he started a crowdfund for himself to file an appeal to overturn the gag order on the grounds that it is unconstitutional. I gotta say, I was excited. I can finally read him write! If you guys don't know, lawyers don't debate for a living. You can't tell how good a lawyer is based on online debate performance (for a number of reasons I won't get into here). We write for a living. Seeing a lawyer's writing is really the only way to truly assess their competence. Here, he has done the kindness of displaying his incompetence for everyone to see. I won't go through all of the grammatical mistakes because there's so fucking many of them. He should've at least asked ChatGPT to fix his grammar. Shit, he should've asked ChatGPT to write the whole brief instead.
Those of you who aren't lawyers might think that this looks okay. But hopefully by the end of this post, I'll have successfully convinced you that Good Lawgic is a grifting, incompetent loser.

The Legal Standard

He doesn't state it. Lol. Lmao, even.
I'll elaborate. The "meat" of this document is on pages 5 to 19, or the "Memorandum of Law in Support of Temporary Restraining Order". This is basically the legal argument portion.
Now, if you're going to ask for a TRO, or literally anything from a court, at least start by stating the relevant legal standard. What do you need to prove to be granted a TRO? Nowhere in Good Lawgic's "Memorandum of Law" does he even recite this standard, much less explain why it's met. In a brief, after stating the relevant legal standard(s), you need to argue, with facts and/or precedent, why that standard is met or not met (depending on what nets you a win). Do you know how you do this analysis? With citations. Citations to the factual record are necessary for factual assertions, and citations to precedential cases are necessary for explaining why your position is legally correct. They must also be easily discoverable by whoever is reading your brief. In the ACLU brief, these actual, practicing lawyers cite almost every line. As they should. Seriously, pick a random page, and you'll see that to the extent possible, every statement, assertion, and argument is supported by some citation. The reality is, Good Lawgic didn't write a brief. He wrote an editorial full of conclusory statements and sophistry. His "Memorandum of Law" belongs on Breitbart, and he obviously has no idea how to write an actual legal argument for a court. There's nothing legal about his petition. He just says shit without citations. It's a Memorandum of Feels and Vibes. This is how a "NY litigator of 25 years" writes? Are you kidding me?
Oh, wait, his entire work experience is (checks LinkedIn) debt collection.

The Grift

The reality is, even as stupid as he is (seriously, the grammatical errors, oh my god), he knows this brief isn't winning. It's going to be immediately slapped down because it's asinine. But you know what? He's grifted at least 26k from Trumptards so far, and after his petition gets summarily eviscerated, it's going to be further evidence of the ~corruption of the NY courts and the liberal conspiracy against Trump~. The sad reality is he feels free to proudly link his dogshit petition because he knows his followers and donators are illiterate. But you know what? I'm glad he linked it. Because I get to read this hilarious affirmation made under penalty of perjury: "We need to freely access Trump."

I'm a trans male who is like slowly getting comfortable with the fact I might be genderfluid. I've always wore more gender less clothing when I was younger up until middle school when I didn't have to wear uniforms anymore. I mostly wore clothes my parent picked out but I was always uncomfortable with said clothes. I've been out of school for a year and I've been trying to experiment with more Feminine clothing like I had to wear before I came out at 14. But I don't know what kinds of feminine clothing to wear. So I’m 17 and is about to graduate from high school soon. I’m in the process of joining the army National Guard. But I also want to do active duty air force. Would I be able to sign a contract with NG for 6 years(for education benefits) while doing AFROTC at the same time then switch to active duty Air Force for 4 years then switch back to NG?

My almost 4 year old son has a speech delay. He knows his colors, numbers, alphabet, car parts animals, and more but he just doesn't speak a lot in coherent sentences. He still mostly babbles. Anyway, just trying to say that he's smart but just doesn't speak much or very well. I was told about the Twin Rivers Unified School District having a special education program that could help him but I can't find a lot of information about it, other than how to get in contact with them. I would like to know what it's like before I reach out to even see if it seems like a good fit. Anyone ever used them for this before and can tell me your experience? Is there another place I could take him to help him that won't break the bank? We work minimum wage jobs so money can be an issue but we'll do what we can. Thanks in advance!
