2024.05.16 18:49 Used_Caregiver_6511 A disappointing story on CM

I am a guy in my early 30's. I'm an International Student in the country where I live. I got a match on CatholicMatch with a girl just 6 months older than me who lives 158.3 km away in the same country, it would take me 4.5 hours to get there by train. She was beautiful. Not a supermodel, but she has a pretty face and gorgeous eyes. She is 6 months older than me, from a similar culture, and we speak the same language. We both accepted the match in November 2022.
We started chatting and the conversation was pleasant. She told me that she lived with her older brother, she worked as a babysitter and that she didn't have a visa. The conversations were a bit slow, because we both took our time responding, but it was pleasant. I often mentioned that she was busy studying and doing my homework. Actually, by looking at old messages, I could see that it was me the one who took longer took longer to respond. Sometimes, because I didn't know what to say and others times because I didn't notice her replies. I suggested her that when I had some free time, we could we could go and explore a town together. I thought we could meet in the capital because there should be lots of fun things to do and it's kind of in the middle for both of us. She seemed happy, but when I suggested a date, she didn't respond in time. In early February 2023, I gathered some courage, found her on Facebook, and sent her a friend request. She accepted it. I looked at her photos and realized that she came from a lovely family and that in 2015 she wanted to be a nun and she went through the Discernment period for five years (2 years with vows). I felt more attracted to her after that. We started chatting and she said she was glad that I found her there. I suggested going to see a cultural site. She responded that her immigration and financial situation was not the best and that it would not be wise for her to get out of town for a date. She said that she would like to meet me, but that to do so she would have to travel to where she was.
Maybe I sabotaged myself because I responded that I would like to be friends with her and chat on Facebook and that I could go there, but that she would take me a little longer. I She responded that getting to a woman's heart requires some sacrifice and that she wasn't doing it on purpose to test me. I said she understood. What I meant was that I would like to start as friends and that I would be willing to go whenever I have free time. She doesn't know it, but I was dealing with a serious procrastination and anxiety problem. I tried to message her again after that, but she seemed a little distant. I even wished her a happy Valentine's Day and she responded with just a smiley face but no words. The last time I texted her was in August for her birthday. But there wasn't much conversation. Months passed and communication cooled down, it went through some academic research challenges as well, but I kept hoping to resume communication at some point after I graduated. I just didn't know how to do it.
In December of last year, she posted a photo on Facebook with her new boyfriend. I felt sad, but I tried to understand it. Because I was curious, I checked her boyfriend's profile and found out he is from her hometown but lives in this country, and his a dad. She also posted a picture with him again one momth ago and this time it did affect me. It doesn’t make sense that something I already knew could affect me so much. Just in case you are wondering I taking therapy, and I also have ASD, so it’s hard for me to let things go.
I know this is not serious love, because we never got to meet each other, and it's not good to idealize people or 'building castles in midair', but I still feel like I was a jerk and not a real gentleman to her. I'm just writing this as a form of catharsis. but I feel better now after writing this and talking to my therapist.

2024.05.16 18:47 cookie47890 Taet and I used be BFFs, until a woman got to he and I. who's name, Evalyne.

She ended up dating 7 of my gaefeet friendship close nit bevit. POP POP.
And well, I wanted to say thank you to the twerker Janet Maete Evalyne. And was thinking about her, in this dang guy kind of way. The 7 she got syphilitic with, well, 2 of them were a bomber on airsquadron, but turncoated or some shit in Rusalitpat. And the 6, well, Taet turned out to be the terrorist that shot up Russia recently. I was sitting there, being, like, wtf!!!?
I know I had a great job for the summer once. But knowing so many international celebrities is like, HUGE. One ain't alive, 3 on row to lip it again with her. And something like septic cooler is her job. I finally got ahold of her. She's out in LA, kicking it with any gaeffete friend, getting lobit on native weed out that way. and I'm like, dang, I coulda bumpit with her, and got into the circle terker with her boosht, but it's like, shit mang. 2024.05.16 18:23 somberbottle Whats happening? Du addition

Hey so I'm in the 2nd semester of a college in DU ( I won't disclose the name) but the experience has been down bad!! I'm sorry but the talks about the reputation and the fantasy that they feed us with while joining the college is invalid
My 2nd sem internals were marked recently and I found out few things while signing my IA
I noticed that. I was given low marks in my tests, assignments. Which made me wonder why because ..... I FUCKING CHEATED SOME OF THE ANSWERS.
But my friend who sat behind me she didn't cheet neither was she prepared for the paper and didnt answer most of the questions and left in the middle of the test, she submitted her assignmnets after the due date and she got FULL MARKS IN HER TEST AND HER ASSIGNMNETS.
✋️SO THIS BRINGS US TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE TEACHERS ARE NOT EVEN BOTHERED TO CHECK THE PAPERS .
I DONT KNOW ON WHAT BASIS THEY ARE INCERTING THIS MARKS AND GRADING US.

2024.05.16 18:16 excel_pager_420 Finished S5 I'm DONE

I know there's meant to be some great seasons still ahead, with an incident that shakes everyone.
But S5 felt toxic to watch. The way George O'Malley went from being superstar surgeon with almost too much screen time back to 007 never on screen, not even lunch chats. In the finale, all characters talking crap about George, (that really felt like digs at TR Knight, especially his looks) before the reveal/twist.
The tedious Izzie-Denny storyline before they decided to give her cancer. Tedious toxic Meredith-Derek drama before they decide marriage will fix their issues. Hahn disappearing one episode, not even written out properly or respectfully. Tedious Meredith-Chief favouritism. Interns cutting themselves because residents were all such bad teachers before disappearing entirely except Lexi. Who inexplicably is dating Sloan despite the actors having no chemistry and her looking like his daughter.
Watching it felt like you see the behind the scenes tension. Clearly the producers/Shonda had something against TR Knight and Katherine Heigl. But it's *glee* levels of unprofessionalism for it to be this evident on screen. I'm done.

2024.05.16 18:06 rangeofemotions I know I'm queer, but I can't get the thought that I might be lesbian out of my head...

Hi everyone,
I'm really hoping I could get some advice, and bear with me, this might be a bit of a long post. I'll make sure to include a TLDR at the end.
I have always felt different, as many people in the queer community can relate to I'm sure. Dating has always been very strange for me. When I've dated men, it's always been "oh I'm just going on a date with this guy" and I never felt very nervous or felt like I really had to impress them. There was no internal feeling of a desire to have it go anywhere beyond the date, and if it did, great, if not, oh well.
However, I started dating women the last time I was single, and every single time I talked to a girl I found attractive or went on a date, there was always this overwhelming feeling of excitement and nervous energy that I have never felt before.
Then came the crashing feeling that what I was doing felt so right, but also made me feel so guilty. I typically would not see a woman again after a date, even if it went well, because I felt so guilty. Like what I was doing was wrong. Because of this, I've never dated or had any sexual relations with a woman, despite having wanted to for a long time.
I'm currently in a long term relationship with a man, because one of the dates I went on worked out, but the feelings I have towards him are very similar to the feelings of a close friend. Like yes, I love him, but I find that there's some part of the situation where I think something is missing.
All of my past relationships with men have always left me feeling like something is missing, or something is just slightly off. Now that I've read up on comphet, I'm feeling very confused.
I'm scared and trying my best to figure things out, but it's so hard to navigate. I don't want to hurt my current partner, but I'm also afraid that staying with him will leave me unfulfilled
I'm just looking for some insight into this situation, and if anyone with some experience can provide me some advice. I just want to be content and happy with myself.
TLDR: I need advice if I am even attracted to men in the first place, or if I am simply falling prey to comphet.
Thanks to anyone who can help, I need it.

2024.05.16 17:42 Ashtheweirdkid Kodak easgshare 2004 Saying High Temp

A while ago I dug up my family’s 2004 Kodak Easyshare DX7630 and besides having to get a new battery it’s in good shape. When I turn it on it says “High Camera Temperature (Camera will be shut down)”, the camera isn’t even warm. It stopped for a little while and I was able to set the date and see internal memory but now it’s doing it again.
I’m not good with camera tech so I really don’t know if I’d have to take it apart and I wasn’t looking to spend any money refurbishing it. Any suggestions?

2024.05.16 17:35 Final-Refuse7545 Can somebody please help me understand my classmates?

Hi. So, for context, I'm a younger millenial who decided to go back to college at the age of 27. My very first university experience was horrible and it took years to gather the courage to try again. I applied to both a different school and a different degree than the previous time, and I love it. The environment at the other school, a large public one, was cold, competitive and isolating. I stayed there way longer then I ever should've, because of how ingrained in me it was that any college degree is important and once you start one, you should stick it out. Except I really did feel that degree in particular was useless, with not that many work oppurtunities and a toxic, soul-sucking environment.
Now, I've joined a smaller private university, which is well ranked internationally and to study a subject that I'm genuinely passionate about.
The one issue with private universities in my country is that their standards on admission are very low. The teachers are still amazing and very fair, and although they do go a little easier on us that at my former school, they still grade you according to the grade you deserve (basically just because its easy to get in, doesn't mean it's easy to get out). So yes, there is a bit of a stigma where I'm from that, in private universities, you pay to get in and aren't actually smart or deserving (yet another reason why it took me so long to gather up the courage to take the leap and apply). But once, you're in, everybody's paying the same, and everybody is treated the same.
I do think a lot of my classmates' behaviour can be attributed to this - they weren't good students before, they've never really built the work ethic my very strict and very honest mother raised me with (and which a lot of my own millenial classmates in ''high school'' - secondary school here - also didn't have). A lot of them genuinely do not want to be here, and have said so. Their parents are paying and they come because ''they're made to''. For even more context, this school's tuition is about 3, maybe even 4 times now with inflation, the amount you would pay for a public university education - it isn't like the United States, it doesn't cost so much that people go into debt for years, but it is still a lot of money to come up with.
Aside from a few older students, and one or two who are around my age, most of them will have been born at around 2003 and 2004, plus a couple people who were 20 when we started first year.
A significant amount of them are extremely poorly behaved and disrespectful to our teachers. They can get extremely loud to the point several teachers have lost their patience and told them off (kinda the way it used to happen when I was in 8th grade, about a million years ago). It got to the point where I genuinely considered bringing earplugs to wear in the classes that took place in the anfitheaters, where the echo makes it genuinely painful to have that must noise.
A few of them either have been caught cheating, or have openly admited that they cheat. It has been reinforced again and again since week one how important it is that everybody in this program knows english, because in our area, all cientific papers must always be published in english, regardless of what country the study originated from. To facilitate things, an english class was added to our first year...which people regularly didn't show up to, a few of them have failed several times and have not made even the slightest effort to learn, resorting instead to automated translation softwares, which are very unreliable and more often than not will not convey the information correctly. This part confuses me greatly, because so much of the media people consume in this country is not dubbed. Shows, movies, music and so much stuff available for free on youtube is in english. That's how I myself learned. Except they don't seem to even want to try.
I've had several nightmare group projects experiences, to the point where even my therapist has agreed with me that I'm better off doing my work alone whenever I have the chance, because this isn't benificial socialization and it's hindering me and stressing me out more than it is building any skills. I had one girl disappear from a large period of time and then text me one week before the due date asking what the project was about (we had talked about it in person and I had emailed her several articles I found and had even told her to pick one to highlight).
When it was time to do the presentation, I told her to read carefully the parts of the source material that explained in more depth the things she was supposed to cover in her turn to speak. Instead, she read directly from the slides, and even read it wrong (said ''resposability'' instead of ''responsivity''). When the teacher asked her questions, she straight up didn't know.
Recently, two people I was doing a group project with tried to hire me to plagirize a report for them and we got into a fight that basically led me to strom out of a group project for the first time in my life and ask the teacher to grade me individually (she's amazing and was very accomodating and understanding). Found out the only reason those two wanted to work with me in the first place was because they were using me for grades, because I usually do super well in research projects and end up having high grades, which in a group project will bump up their own grades and let them barely pass the class. One simple conversation with them made quite clear they didn't actually understand the article we were supposed to be analyzing at all and I simply got fed up.
Now, earlier today, I was in the library, revising for a test I had and someone had stuck chewing gum on the bottom of the chair I was sitting in and now I have a huge white stain on my leggings that I can't get off.
That was kinda the final straw for me, because, not even back when I was in school, in 1st to 12th grade did this ever happen to me...
I'm sorry, but I really needed to vent...I really want to believe that not everyone is like this, but they have really been testing my patience lately.

2024.05.16 17:26 Meh2021another Buy Rating Affirmed for Plug Power on Cost Restructuring and Growth Prospects

A bit dated, before DOE loan announcement.
https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/buy-rating-affirmed-for-plug-power-on-cost-restructuring-and-growth-prospects-1033362983
May. 10, 2024, 04:07 AM
H.C. Wainwright analyst Amit Dayal has maintained their bullish stance on PLUG stock, giving a Buy rating yesterday.
Amit Dayal has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that suggest a positive outlook for Plug Power. The company’s recent cost restructuring efforts are beginning to show in their financials, with significant reductions in operating expenses and gross loss. Despite a year-over-year decrease in net revenues for the first quarter of 2024, the company has successfully lowered its cash burn and is well-positioned for topline growth throughout the year, particularly with the anticipated increase in electrolyzer revenues. Furthermore, Plug Power’s focus on improving its cost structure and operating margins appears to be well received by investors, as reflected in the stock’s favorable reaction to the Q1 results. Moreover, the upcoming production start at the Louisiana plant, which should increase the company’s liquid hydrogen production capacity, positions it to meet customer fuel demand internally. The management’s confidence in securing a Department of Energy term loan further solidifies the company’s execution plan for the year without reliance on external funding. Long-term prospects remain strong, evidenced by the company’s backlog of Basic Design and Development Package contracts for electrolyzers, which are expected to significantly contribute to revenue growth in 2025. This underpins Dayal’s conviction that the company is on a solid trajectory, meriting a Buy rating for the stock.

2024.05.16 17:13 Spiritual-Monitor512 Why is it hard for me (19M) to break up with my girlfriend (19F)?

Hello,
Backstory, I (19M) started dating my university dorm roommate (19F) 3 months ago (we are both freshmen). I started having an unsure feeling since about 2 months ago, as this is my first relationship and i did not want to get into anything serious, but now i am living in the next room to my girlfriend, which seems really serious to me.
This led to me also having doubts about being in this relationship and thinking of break ups, but im not sure about this. She is so nice, so sweet and would not hurt a fly so it is difficult of thinking about something like this, when there is no apparent reason for a breakup (like a fight or whatever).
I am venting/asking for advice (i know its not the smartest to ask redditors lol) about my situation, because we are planning to go to our home countries at the end of june, as we are both internationals, which would mean a 2 month break in us seeing each other and in august we have to chose to etiher extend our rent period by another year or move out. As the city im in is going through a housing crisis, it is undesireable to move out.
To me it currently seems like i have to make a big choice:
I know this sounds bad, and people will imidiately say "If you have these thoughts break up" but please dont write anything radical, i just need some explaining, and i know that i overanalyse everything, but thats how i am.
TL:DR: I'm a 19M freshman dating my 19F dorm roommate for 3 months, but I've had doubts for 2 months about wanting something serious. We're planning to go to our home countries in June and have to decide in August whether to extend our rent by another year due to a housing crisis. I'm unsure whether to stay together and renew the contract, or break up before leaving for home to avoid being stuck in an undesirable situation if things don't work out. Looking for advice, not radical suggestions.

2024.05.16 17:04 rat929 appointment with consultant soon, possibly surgery, and im terrified because of my ptsd and i dont know what to expect <3

tldr 1 - im looking for any advice/ some reassuring/ validating/ seeing im not alone as im shitting bricks for my upcoming appointment following an abdominal mri months ago to rule anything out before possible surgery, and i have ptsd (which is heavily related to my fears about this appointment and possible surgery) , autism and quite probably some medical trauma.
longer version/ context - im 22 and have had every endo symptom in the book since my first period and obviously has gotten worse and worse over the years, ive been going to GPs since i was at least 13 for extreme period pain and have been put on many different meds including NSAIDS, birth control, all the usual and nothing has ever helped. i also have PTSD due to sexual assault and abuse trauma and ASD so they make me more nervous about appointments for obvious reasons. more recently i have been more insistent on something being wrong and that i need to be listened to and believed and investigations need to happen.
so i had another gynae referral to a male consultant at a private hospital, about october-ish last year. The appointment was extremely fast, i came in he said so you think you have endo and i said yes, he asked if i had pain during sex, painful bowel movements and that was basically all he asked about symptoms.
i said im on the evra patch birth control as i went to another consultant privately (it went horribly i wont go into detail) prescribed it to me and said i had no other choice and that i had to, i did not want to, i hate the hormones, but ive been on it for a year and a half and i bleed every single day since, and the pain is still there but i can function and work with the pain most days of the month so i continue to use it because without it i cannot work as the period pain is so horrendous. i tell him she did an ultrasound and all she said was that i have a retroverted uterus, (she tried to force me to do a pelvic exam but i explained prior that i have diagnosed PTSD and absolutely cannot let her do that she was horrible to me about it).
He asked if i have any other conditions and i said ive recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and said what medication im on. I forgot to mention i have autism as i was so scared and my brain just forgot it haha, i dont know if he has me medical record and already knew? but i did not mention it.
He then after those few questions that took maybe two minutes said he was ordering me an abdominal MRI, and depending on the results of that, that i may need a laparoscopy. I had the mri last year in december and my follow up appointment is on the 20th of may in a few days. I assume he will tell me the results of the mri and i have no idea what else.
Im terrified. for so many reasons, what will the mri show? what will it mean? what if he just says it showed nothing or something and i dont think its endo? what if he says i need surgery and then i get a date for the surgery and i have no fucking clue what it entails, what will happen, the process of it all? obviously i have been researchign and learning about endo since i was 16 but i am so scared of surgery and any internal things like pelvic exams, like what if i have to have one before the surgery? I know you have a bladder catheter for surgery i think? Will that HAVE to happen when im awake? that is almost out of the question for me i couldnt go through that. And i know you have to pee before you can leave after the surgery and if you cant they have to put the catheter back in and ill be awake i cannot cope with that, that thought terrrifies me to my bones. And im pretty sure while youre under they have to go in your vagina to move your cervix and uterus around to see around it am i correct? i know ill be unconscious but ill wake up knowing that that happened and that will be a triggering thing i am so scared to feel that way knowing that happened.
But ive wanted this surgery since i was 16 and i might need it? What if it comes to the surgery and its not endometriosis and it actually HAS been all in my head for the past ten years and im just sensitive or a baby who cant handle the pain everyone else can ignore. but i also know that some people have three surgeries before they find stage four endo was hiding there all this time and the doctors keot missing it and not looking correctly. I think the thought of it not being endo is the most awful thing that could ever come of this because then it will mean ive been wrong this whole time and i genuinely am just a wimp, i dont know how ill cope with that.
Im crying writing this im so scared and i dont know what to do. Im also scared that i will shut down during the appointment like last time and forget to ask the questions or he will make me feel small, im a nervous person with ptsd and obviously autism and male doctors terrify me, like what if he doesnt answer my questions or answers them in a way that doesnt make any sense or shrugs my concerns away. My best friend will be going with me so i am going to come up with all of my questions and write them down and give them to me and them incase i forget or am too scared. and what if i have to have the surgery but no one cares about my concerns. I realise i must have some sort of medical trauma from all the doctors who have laughed in my face over the years, crossed my boundaries and told me its all in my head and the pain is just something you have to live with or to have a baby at fucking 14 so it reduces the period cramps after having a baby, i know im not the only person in this subreddit who has been told that surely. I also feel like if i say yes (if i even get the choice) to the surgery im also saying yes to the possibility of them finding no endo (whether that’s because i don’t have it or they just don’t find any) and like i’ve said im terrified of that too, not because ill be ‘wrong’ im not scared of being wrong, just scared that it will have been ten years of going to the doctors and being dismissed for nothing, and will mean there is no answer for the pain i feel so it will feel like it really has been in my head this whole time and i just have to move on still in insane amounts of pain for the rest of my life with no solution.
FINAL TLDR :)
Im just asking for advice from people who have been through this process, and can help answer any questions, or reassure and affirm that my fears are valid and okay and i am in control of what happens to my body :(. And that i am strong and able to stand up for myself and advocate for myself. Im so bloody terrified i just want someone to hug me and hold my hand and tell me it is going to be okay. Im so sorry for this awfully long post i just dont know where else to turn to im so so afraid. If you read all this thank you so much :,( <3

I am planning to apply to KU for the Fall 2024 semester. However, I am having trouble finding specific information about the fall semester dates for 2024. The calendar only mentions that from September 3-13, there is an "Online Application for Spring Semester (International Students)."

Merci

2024.05.16 16:58 Yzerman19_ Update on recalled MAGA commissioners in Delta County. In an unexpected twist, they are rejecting the results. Buckle up for November.

ESCANABA — Swearing in ceremonies for the winners of the Delta County Board of Commissioners recall election held last week and a reorganizational meeting that was planned for Wednesday were scrapped Tuesday evening, after the Delta County Board of Canvassers failed to certify the election results.
“They’re basing their decision on the ratio of the votes, because two of (the races) have the exact same ratio and the third one was a similar ratio, so they think that that shows that the machines were somehow programmed with (an) algorithm,” said Delta County Clerk Nancy Przewrocki.
The results of the May 7 election were unusually consistent, with challengers Kelli Van Ginhoven and Matt Jensen each receiving 72% of the vote in their respective races, to incumbent commissioners Dave Moyle’s and Bob Petersen’s 27%. In the race between challenger Myra Croasdell and Incumbent Commissioner Bob Barron, the percentages were 73% and 26%, respectively.
Such results are atypical across races in elections for a number of reasons, including differences between the candidates, population density, and the cultural factors that make people choose to live in more- or less-populated areas.
But just because the results were unusual doesn’t mean they were wrong.
“I tried to tell them that the machines have been tested and the results came out exactly as they should. I have every confidence in our voting equipment because it’s always tested and in the recounts and the audits we have done, the ballot hand count has always come out exactly very close to … the tabulator results,” said Przewrocki.
It is also not the place of the board of canvassers to take results into account when deciding to certify the election. They serve a more administrative role, doing things like comparing the precinct poll books to reports from the precincts to look for internal consistency in the number of votes cast. According to Przewrocki, there were no inconsistencies that would warrant the election not being certified.
That didn’t stop two Republican canvassers from voting against the certification Tuesday. Bonnie Hakkola, who also serves as the local Republican party chair, and LeeAnne Oman, an alternate canvasser who also serves as the local Republican party secretary, both voted not to certify — splitting the board of canvassers 2-2 and blocking the certification.
A second meeting of the board of canvassers has been set for Monday at 9 a.m. It is possible that Oman would not participate in that hearing if Sema Deeds — the Republican canvasser Oman replaced Tuesday — is present. Deeds was unable to attend Tuesday’s meeting due to illness.
It is unlikely that Hakkola’s vote will change. A press release dated Monday but sent to the Daily Press late Tuesday by her son, Seth Hakkola, indicates local citizens working with members of Michigan-based groups that deny the validity of the 2020 presidential election have “identified certain statistical anomalies and suspicious voting ratios.”
Specifically, the release references local citizens working with Joanna Bakale, a prominent member of the Election Integrity Force, who is perhaps best known for advising poll watchers to call 911 if they see suspicious activity around voting machines in 2022; Citizens for Electoral Justice member Scott Aughney, a self-described “independent election investigator and whistleblower” who attempted to obtain a copy of Escanaba’s electronic poll book raw data file through a failed Freedom of Information Act request last year; and Former Republican State Senator Patrick Colbeck, of Michigan’s 7th District.
The release states the local citizens are “formally requesting a hand recount and forensic audit of the results.” According to Przewrocki, Hakkola had also requested a hand recount, but the board of canvassers is not authorized by law to conduct recounts as part of the certification process.
“I would love to do a hand count just to show them that there is absolutely nothing wrong with our tabulators,” said Przewrocki.
A recount of the ballots could still take place, but only after the election is certified. If it were to happen, it would have to be at the request of one of the candidates.
Technically speaking, Moyle, Petersen and Barron still serve as the county’s commissioners until their replacements can be put in place. If the election is not certified Monday, those board members would have to vote whether or not to hold the regularly scheduled meeting slated for Tuesday.
However, if the election is not certified Monday, there could be bigger issues. The certification process would be taken over by the State Board of Canvassers, which means Przewrocki and other local clerks would have to travel downstate with the ballots, election machines, poll books, and all other necessary documents and equipment to certify the election.
“Everything that we would have at our fingertips doing it here locally, we would have to bring downstate with us in case there needs to be a retabulation,” said Przewrocki.
The cost of the canvassing would also fall on the county.
Until the certification, Van Ginhoven, Croasdell, and Jensen cannot be sworn in and a reorganizational meeting cannot be held. Jensen and Croasdell were expected to be sworn in Wednesday morning and Van Ginhoven was slated to be sworn in Monday, but all three ceremonies have been postponed. A reorganizational meeting also set for Wednesday was postponed, pending the certification.

2024.05.16 16:35 Mediocre_Draw8618 First international employer, Am I overthinking?

Hello!
First time ko kasi mag apply sa US based company. Wala silang office here sa pinas. So ayun, top choice daw nila ako and they already ask my salary rate at starting date tapos iseset up na nila ako sa Gusto account. Nakapasa na rin ako sa exams at mga requirements for pc set up ganun. Nagsabi na rin ako sa current employer ko na may bagong work since nirerequire nila ako magstart next week.
Since avid reader ako dito, nadadagdagan ung fear ko. 😅 Madami ata nagghost na soon to be employees. Sabi ng company di daw nila covered mga mandatory benefits like SSS. Contract daw ako at they will pay me monthly.
Please send tips po if paano po ung set up kapag international company. Need ko pa rin po ba magbayad ng tax? I am confused. Help a newbie out. Thank you!

2024.05.16 15:56 Lillily9 PEI PNP International Grad

Hello everyone,
I'm starting my PEI PNP profile under International Graduate Stream, they ask the starting date of employment at my current company. I'm wondering if I should put my initial starting date in 2021, I started as part-time while studying, or the starting date of my permanent full-time contract which is in 2024 (it's the same job)
I'm quite confused as International Grad Stream only considers about permanent full-time contract but I already started way earlier in this company, so I don't need probation.
Does anyone know/have same case as mine? Please let me know what I should answer to that.
Thanks everyone.
