2024.05.16 05:16 ExtrovertvsIntrovert Hate love relationship with my cat
I googled about it and found a post from two years ago and thought I give it a try in here. I honestly always hated cats, coming from the fact that I was highly allergic to them most till I got 18 years old, than my allergy kind of vanished. 20 years later I still never got to really like cats to much, mostly to the fact not being able to be close to them growing up. Much more a dog person. 2 years ago living in a house, a cat came into my yard and didnāt leave. He was neutered already, meaning he was a house cat before and probably got abandoned (in my county we do not neutralize stray cats). I gave him food and for the next 1,5 years he would be an outdoor cat getting fed by me. Took 1 year for me to let him sleep inside, but had to let him out to do his business in the middle of the night. Got him his vaccinations. All in all I got to like him, but still did not call him MY cat. He was from the first time coming to my place already completely fine with me touching and petting him. And after a few month or a year, he would lay on my every single time when I was laying down on my sofa or my hammock, often open up his belly to pet him. Then last year September I moved to an apartment and was clear I would try to find a home for him if I couldnāt bring him, but I got an apartment allowing pets. I thought about the fact that he definitely was abandoned before and that I didnāt wane do this to him again, so I decided to take him with me. Installing cat security in all the windows and so on. I felt bad to take away his freedom but he surprisingly adapted very well, very quick.
Now the part why itās a hate love relationship is, that I feel at one point that I did not choose to have a cat but that he did choose me. And he cat be the very much calmest cat in the world, meaning he will never ever wake me up at night, in the morning or even if I sleep till noon. He always had food available, only eats when heās hungry. So not even feeding times necessary. Used litter box from day one even so he always did go somewhere outside before. Heās not bothered by visitors oand kids. Heās even ok to be picked up for a bit. He never destroys things, only kicks stuff down when Iām right there to get his attention, but never when Iām not there. BUT: he gets frustrated a lot. And when he does, he will randomly attack me. That ended up 3 times in the last 3 years me taking antibiotics because of a deep bite. This comes usually out of nowhere, following things like: I donāt let him go out the house door, I canāt play cause Iāve to work (from home), I come home and wane go to bed instead of playing (case tonight, I was out for 3 hoursā¦ in my opinion he just gets frustrated, and than he attacks me and bites me very hard. It happens ones in a while and can be after cuddling with him just a few hours earlier. Heās not a very cuddly cat but he still loves his pets and rubs and will always sleep on the bed with me, often on my legs or feed. I wane love him but I feel heās making it very hard for me some times because i feel like I wane cry every time he attacks me even so heāll always come after to rub against me or now sleeping at my feed again. I donāt want to reject him but I also have such a hard time to fully love him as my pet, not knowing when he might get frustrated again. Attacks usually are ones every cumple of weeks, sometimes more and sometimes less. He might be around 4-5 years old and I try to play with him every day for a while, since heās addicted to the laser pointer. Also I spoil him with lactose free milk every morningā¦ I feel splint in the: I never wanted a cat but he adopted me. And I got to love him but wane cry when he attacks me out of nowhere cause heās frustratedā¦

2024.05.16 05:10 Sparky_McDibben Security Systems
If you've never seen it, I highly recommend the TV show
Leverage. A five-season long mashup of heist movies and sitcoms, it follows a group of thieves who break the law to enforce justice on everyone from corrupt cops to the US Congress. In addition to being decent television, it was also a great source of twists, stings, and a variety of genre tropes, including security systems.
Now, I don't know about y'all, but sometimes I just plumb forget to add stuff like cameras, motion sensors, etc. And I've found that working off a template reminds me to add stuff back in. So I started putting some of these together as in-world security systems.
Most of you will likely not find this helpful, but for those of you like me, it gives you a structure to start from. That, I find, makes all the difference.
Definition of Terms: Alarms: Alarms trigger any nearby patrols to check out the source of the alarm. Patrols start at the source of the alarm, then quarter and search the nearby rooms, moving in pairs when possible. If nothing is found, the alarm is shut down, but guards linger nearby for the next 30 minutes.
Patrols: 1d3
bodyguards (per Core Rules); 1-in-3 chance they have mini air drones available to sweep the area
Security Hub: Location from which all security measures can be monitored, and the security comm net controlled. Typically watched by a dweller (netrunner-in-residence), with stats as
netrunner (per Core Rules).
Tier [X]: Security is set up in tiers. Tier 1 areas are available to anyone who's supposed to be in the building. Tier 2 areas are a bit more restrictive (an armory within a police station, for example, or a judge's chambers). Tier 3 areas are for very restrictive secured areas, like a
SCIF.
Glenn-Rieder Security System: A must for those with moderate security concerns, such as museums, banks, etc., the Glenn-Rieder will stop all but the most determined crew of thieves. Cameras: 1d6 + 1 per floor, Stealth DV 14 to evade notice, 2-in-6 chance camera is being actively monitored.
Motion Sensors: 1d3 per floor, Contortionist DV 13 to evade notice, automatically triggers silent alarm.
Locks: - Entryway to Tier 1 locations have a keycard lock (can be bypassed by 2 min DV 11 Electronics / Security Tech check, manufacturer's override code, or by having the appropriate keycard)
- All doors in Tier 2 locations have a keycard lock (can be bypassed by 5 min DV 14 Electronics / Security Tech check, manufacturer's override code, or by having the appropriate keycard)
Guards: There are 1d6-1 active patrols at any given time, with another patrol standing by in a nearby break room, and a netrunner (dweller) camped at the security hub. Guards usually patrol a set beat, but will actively and aggressively track any suspected intruders.
Windows: All windows secured with standard locks (DV 9 Pick Lock) and laser tripwires (DV 13 Electronics / Security Tech check)
Exotic Countermeasures: Roll 1d6 for each of the following countermeasures. On a roll of 1, that countermeasure is in place.
- 1d3 laser grids covering any human-sized air ducts
- Location has paid for NCPD Rapid Response to guarantee a 1 minute response time from the NCPD (1d6 +1 responding cops; stats as security operatives)
- Drone swarms are networked into the location's net architecture, and will deploy in response to any alarm or suspected intruder (mini air drones)
- All guards have one cybereye with MicroVideo that's streaming to the security hub; what one of them sees, all of them can see
- Fire prevention system (triggers on alarm) that locks down one enclosed space and sucks out all the air, rendering anyone inside deaf, mute, and asphyxiating - effect lasts until alarm is lifted
- 1d3 turrets, as assault rifle equipped with either rubber bullets or armor-piercing bullets (location owner's preference), Autofire +12; will not fire on anyone carrying an access keycard

2024.05.16 05:01 spidermanbandaid Caught making out in car by security officers
This is really stupid so I apologize in advance. I kind of just want to know to what extent this will go to? My boyfriend and I were parked in a collegeās parking lot because it has an overview of the lake. Itās night time, we were staring at the lake and talking and then we started making out. All of sudden a bright light flashes at us and thereās a security officer shining a flashlight through the driver window. My boyfriend unrolls the window, he tells us itās a private campus and that we need to leave but that weāre not in trouble. He took my boyfriendās drivers license and wrote down his name, but I didnāt have my license on me so I gave him my name (so I lied). Told us he had to write down our names for the activity log. It was all around a very awkward encounter. As far as I know there werenāt any body cams or anything. Iām in the process of getting my security clearance, is it possible that this can show up? Iām sorry if this is a stupid question, Iām just a little paranoid now.

2024.05.16 04:53 CoolTrainerX PC turns on when I'm not home?
I haven't found any answers Googling so I've come here. All I can find is about hibernation mode and sleep mode and scheduled updates and all that, also mostly referring to laptops. Uptime in task manager says 3 hours 16 minutes. I left about 5 hours ago. I always shift+shutdown when I shut down, even though I've turned the eco-mode or whatever off so it shuts down completely. It's not in sleep mode. I have just come home a handful of times to find it on and I know I turned it off. I live alone, no one has come to my house unexpectedly (security cameras and all that). Another time I came home to find it had been on for a few hours when I got home from work (I work 12 hour shifts). This is a desktop PC that I built a few years ago, specs below.

2024.05.16 04:52 okayturnip How to secure double-hung windows with ac unit?
I live on a first floor apartment, so I am concerned about how to secure my windows when I install my ac (which I will need to do soon). We have double hung windows, so there are two separate window panels that move independently (one opens downwards from the top and the other opens upwards from the bottom). I know that some people secure their ac units/windows by screwing L-shaped brackets into the window/side of the window so it canāt be moved, but the material on these windows are not wood (might be aluminum?) so I donāt think that I can drill into them. So if this is not an option, how else can I secure my windows? Even though I could secure the bottom window with a dowel/rod, I canāt secure the top window with this method because that rod would need to be on the outside, so someone could easily remove it. And in a similar vein, I canāt use anything else that would be installed on the outside to prevent the top window from moving, but that seems to be where most sliding locks and such would need to be installed. Iām lost for ideas and any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

2024.05.16 04:29 Atari1337 Canāt access camera on mobile app
Hey there, had my X1c for almost a year now, love it.
Recently switched over to a ubiquiti network and isolated all IOT devices to their own network. (For security reasons)
The network is speed limited and WPA2/2.4ghz only for maximum compatibility. The printer has no issues connecting, printing, or anything reallyā¦ except
I canāt view the live camera on the IOS app. It works just fine on the desktop apps (MacOS AND windows) however.
Anyone else experience this? Iām not certain itās device isolation for the IOT network since I donāt have any issues controlling smart lights or TVs that are on that network from phone that is on my main, secure, network.

2024.05.16 04:20 Frisky_777 I'm switching to Linux as soon as DDG makes a Linux browser
Linux is arguably more private, secure, and efficient than Windows and MacOS. I will be making the switch as soon as DuckDuckGo makes a Linux browser. I understand that it would probably be even more work than the Windows browser and that Linux holds the smallest market share, but I think that a DDG Linux browser would attract a lot of users. I am aware that there are other good privacy browsers; however, once you go Duck it's hard to go back!

2024.05.16 04:18 50shAdesofgraczyk2_0 Road rage incident
I, 25F, was driving to work the other day. I was in the right hand lane to the off ramp of the highway when the car in front of me merged out of the lane. The red car (2 car spaces ahead) slammed on her brakes, with no one in front of her causing me to slam on my brakes and naturally get closer. She then proceeded to brake check me about 5 times before sticking her hand out the sunroof window and flipping me off. Iāll admit, I flipped her back off. She then continued to brake check me, as we got on the off ramp of the highway. I then switched lanes to avoid her. She continuously sped up and cut me off, almost hitting me three times. At the red light she pulled out from behind me and stopped next to me unnecessarily to laugh and flip me off again while yelling. I just stayed looking forward until the light changed. We both took left hand turns, me into the turning lane for my work employee lot, her in the public straight lane. As we got closer to the next light, she cut me off again, almost hitting me, and slammed on her brakes. Even with the green arrow she sat there parked. At this point I was scared to why she was forcing me to stop, so I swerved out and continued my turn. As I passed her car, she whipped her car door open as if she was trying to get me to hit her car. As we pulled up to the key in for the parking lot, she started screaming and cussing at me how she had my plates and was going to find me. I didnāt know she was an employee for another company with this lot until she also keyed in and followed me for about 10 min in the parking lot. Terrified, and shitting bricks, I re-exited the parking lot. She did not follow. When keying back in the security guy suggested I file a report (he saw the whole scene) in case she damaged my car while it was parked. I have since filed a report (not criminal). A friend of mine mentioned that if she had a dash cam sheād have footage of my driving. Iām now worried I can be fined for how I drove while terrified. Also with it not being a criminal report I made, was she even notified?

2024.05.16 04:16 Malevin87 Blackberry 2025: Software and AI company
- Business transformation: BlackBerry is now a software company, starting the transformation in 2015. The focus is security, the general term.
- 5 Products:
- QNX: Embedded system OS.
- Multi-OS housing: It has the capability to allow for multiple OSs on a single chip.
- Real-time availability/software prioritization: Not all pieces of software operate on the same priority. Steering/braking would be higher priority than media, and QNX allows for that. Even if the thread/core is shared with other applications, when high priority software is requesting a resource it will be prioritized to ensure reliability.
- Resource sharing: CPU, RAM, and GPU resource sharing between different applications capability. Two applications can share the same CPU core and bump each other based on prioritization.
- Why not Linux? QNX has the highest certification for security available. Linux does not. CEOs would want to avoid liability and this certification allows for that.
- Device agnostic: It can be installed on any device, not just cars. Any IoT and offline device can use QNX.
- QNX Hypervisor: Consolidate multiple OSs on a single SoC using virtualization
- SoC: System on a chip. Instead of using multiple ECUs, which is what car manufacturers currently do, they can use one single chip to run multiple high priority applications and multiple OSs. This is what Tesla does now.
- Virtualization: Running an OS in a virtual environment. Think Linux environment inside of Windows. This helps with debugging for developers without having to have the actual hardware.
- IVY: Scalable cloud-connected software platform for vehicles.
- What is it a solution for? When a vehicle manufacturer wants a way to transmit the QNX/OS data safely, normalize it, and visualize it/interact with it. It also allows car manufacturers to own the data, unlike other OSs.
- Scalable: AWS servers are capable of handling the load from many endpoints.
- Software platform: There is currently no centralized software ecosystem for vehicles. IVY is providing that.
- Non-BB developers would be able to use an SDK to develop applications on IVY for infotainment/general apps/others. IVY will also use ML to gain insight on unrecognized patterns by developers. An example of this is detecting if a car slipped, without having the developer connect multiple sensors to figure out if that event happened.
- 50/50 joint effort on revenue and effort to develop the ecosystem. Using AWS's knowledge in AI/ML for calculated sensors (slip, driver on seat, etc)
- Usage by other vendors: A city can connect to the data from vehicles and detect when ice/slipping is happening. If brakes are getting overheated coming from a high elevation area. If a car had an accident, etc. An insurance company can provide an app to give discounts similar to the currently implemented OBD-2 readers. A maintenance provider can also connect to this data and check if an error is specific to maintenance, malpractice, or general misuse.
- Spark: Endpoint management. Basically API security. Did not delve far into this, basic info.
- Unified Endpoint Security: This is the endpoint where a laptop/phone/IoT device hits. It provides encryption and security around that. Continuous authentication is a part of it, where a device is learning the user behavior using ML and continuously checking if the behavior matches the original owner; if not, lock the device.
- Unified Endpoint Management: Basically managing your API for devices.
- Zero trust: I think this is specifically talking about continuous authentication. Basically, it's not an authenticate once and forget it. It's constantly tracking behavior to verify the user is the authenticated user.
- AtHoc: Non-enterprise communication system.
- Target customers: Government, healthcare, education, etc.
- Solution: A communication system targeting non-enterprise businesses; specifically for Event management, cross organizational communication/collaboration, mass notifications.
- Who does this benefit? You've seen the hacks in healthcare/educational/governmental sector. This is specifically for them.
- SecuSUITE: Phone application to allow employees to use work related data in personal devices without cross communication (between personal and work data).
- End to end encryption.
- Separation of concerns between personal and work data. Employers CANNOT access your personal data.
- Used by NATO; doesn't carry much value in my book but maybe in yours.
- Customer oriented solutions: As you've seen in the products above, some products overlap and are just names to target specific customers. It allows customers to easily understand what product could solve their issue. Continuous authentication is a great example of this: Their customer complained that they kept re-authenticating, so they designed a solution allowing them to authenticate once and using ML they learned their behavior and can continuously check if the user is the owneauthenticated user. This kind of passion in leadership is good for business.
- Liability: QNX has the highest security rating available. Most CEOs want to avoid liability when it comes to security, using QNX would help them avoid that in a similar way cloud services help them avoid being blamed for hacking.
Where I think growth can be made:
- QNX in more cars. They can capitalize on the idea of less ECUs = less cost for OEMs + security.
- IVY usage by OEMs along with QNX.
- IVY ecosystem. Maybe application billing?
- Professional services (support) for the products listed.
- AtHoc increased market share in more governmental/healthcare/educational entities.
- SecuSUITE for more enterprise customers with the idea being saving employers money from purchasing work phones for employees, and worrying about securing them.

2024.05.16 04:14 mimi2520 Donāt break NC. They never change
For context : I broke up with my ex bc he was neglecting me and was emotionally abusive. Iāve been NC with him since January 5th. I know I should've never break NC but I did and called him to ask why he blocked me and why I was still being blocked to this day.
His answer : "I couldnāt see your profile (ofc you blocked me) and didnāt know how to unblock you". So this guy didnāt ever bother to look up his settings or make a quick Google search. I wasnāt worth 3 minutes of his time to ask Google a solution. I was hurt and hung up. A few minutes later I was unblocked. So it was all a mind game.
Since then he has been blewing up my phone with texts and calls. He asked me to hang out with him and his parents at the flee market. Like really ? Weāve been broken up for a year, NC for 4 months and thatās what he suggests to get me back. I ignored him.
He continued texting me the day after and asked me how was my day, acting as if nothing happened the last few months. I ignored him. Then he got angry I wasnāt answering and told me he was making an effort to talk to me and that I was being rude. So I asked him "but did you make efforts the last few months when you blocked me ?". His answer : "Tell me about it. Also did YOU make efforts ?". He also told me he didnāt feel anything about me during the time weāve been NC. Typical emotionally unintelligent narcissist princess refusing to acknowledge his wrongdoings and shifting the blame on me. I blocked him.
So I broke no contact. I called him. I threw 4 months of efforts out the window. I gave him a huge ego boost. This guy thought he had me wrapped around his finger.
Donāt be like me folks. Donāt make the same mistake and donāt break NC. They never change

2024.05.16 03:58 loosus Does Proxmox have an equivalent to AWS security groups?
AWS security groups are basically ACL network rules between the VMs to add an extra layer of security. Example: in Windows Firewall, you may allow TCP 443 inbound from 10.45.14.0/24 and prohibit all other traffic, so you can add that same rule to AWS security groups in case Windows Firewall failed or were inadvertently misconfigured. So you have two levels: the host firewall and the AWS security group.
vSphere out of the box doesn't have an equivalent to AWS security groups. You can purchase an add-on, but ACLs are not available on the standard version of vSphere.
Does Proxmox have something like this built-in?

2024.05.16 03:39 ijustwannalook777 I don't think the Win 4 likes AFMF. Its crashing the system when playing games.
I can't seem to figure this out. The WIN 4, with AFMF enabled, seems to crash the system, causing a reset or frozen, when playing most games. The games include: Cyberpunk Fallout 4 Another Zombie survival game GRID The Thaumaturge
Only game that I haven't had an issue with was Starfield. I've updated the bios to latest BIOS. Clean installed the GPD image, installed a clean windows, ran DDU and reinstalled video drivers, used the AMD removal tool and reinstalled all AMD divers including other AMD divers, ran on lower TDP, disabled CPU boost, lower RAM speed, turned off secure boot, and used process lasso to disable AMDs multithreat. Each one has been tried multiple times because of OS reinstalls, and each change was done alone. This is the third Win 4 2024, I have tried and each one has the same symptoms. I have the 2023 Win Mini with 7840u, but do not have these issues. I have also switched to a 4TB Nvme, but the issues didn't seem affected by the SSD. So I'm not sure if it's related to Win 4, a driver issue, or something having to do with the 8840u.
Luckily lossless scaling with grand frame Gen seems to work fine, but it's been annoying because if Lossless scaling frame Gen doesn't work, there is no fallback, and not all games have FSR 3 implemented.
I wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue and is you've fixed it, how. Thanks

2024.05.16 03:31 ghostcubee Can't get out of S mode on new laptop
Every time I go to the microsoft store and click the get button for switch out of safe mode, it tells me "something happened and we couldn't start the upgrade". I've tried using a different Microsoft account, updated everything in the settings and the store, tried restarting wuauserv/Windows Update Service, repaired the store in the app settings, even tried disabling secure boot in BIOS/UEFI.
Laptop is an HP brand, it's been checked and has no further updates to do. Do I just have to wait and try again or is there something I can actually do to get it out of S mode?

2024.05.16 03:24 Unhappy-Response5724 Rufus: Windows bootmgr encountered a security validation or internal error.
| I boot up into a Rufus Windows 10 USB stick and it says Windows bootmgr encountered a security validation or internal error . It shows no code and nothing has worked so far. It would be amazing if someone could solve this issue. There is only 1 other post about this on the entire internet and they don't show the fix. I know that there is a fix out there but I have found it hard to find. I have linked the image that 'Learner-Foster' put on his post in MinisForum. Edit: Some other options that I have tried are Ventoy, that didn't work, it said 'Press any key to boot from CD or DVD' , and when I pressed a key, the screen turns black and goes back to that same screen. I also tried the official Microsoft tool, the laptop said 'The selected boot device failed'. The laptop allows booting from Linux USBs, but not Windows USBs š. The model number of the laptop is an HP-13-ba0553na. Thank You! https://preview.redd.it/q5gd5qipxo0d1.jpg?width=2016&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e590e8bee2058c5ecc58590ae7675730669f2799 submitted by Unhappy-Response5724 to WindowsHelp [link] [comments] |
2024.05.16 03:23 Tycho_Jissard MS-ISAC CYBERSECURITY ADVISORY - Multiple Vulnerabilities in Google Chrome Could Allow for Arbitrary Code Execution - PATCH NOW
MS-ISAC CYBERSECURITY ADVISORY MS-ISAC ADVISORY NUMBER: 2024-058
DATE(S) ISSUED: 05/15/2024
SUBJECT: Multiple Vulnerabilities in Google Chrome Could Allow for Arbitrary Code Execution
OVERVIEW: Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in Google Chrome, the most severe of which could allow for arbitrary code execution. Successful exploitation of the most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow for arbitrary code execution in the context of the logged on user. Depending on the privileges associated with the user an attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than those who operate with administrative user rights.
THREAT INTELLEGENCE: Google is aware that an exploit for CVE-2024-4947 exists in the wild.
SYSTEMS AFFECTED: - Chrome prior to 125.0.6422.60/.61 for Windows and Mac
- Chrome prior to 125.0.6422.60 for Linux
RISK: Government: - Large and medium government entities: High
- Small government entities: Medium
Businesses: - Large and medium business entities: High
- Small business entities: Medium
Home users: Low TECHNICAL SUMMARY: Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in Google Chrome, the most severe of which could allow for arbitrary code execution. Details of these vulnerabilities are as follows:
Tactic:
Initial Access (
TA0001):
Technique:
Drive-By Compromise (
T1189):
- Type Confusion in V8. (CVE-2024- 4947)
- Use after free in Dawn. (CVE-2024- 4948)
- Use after free in V8. (CVE-2024- 4949)
- Inappropriate implementation in Downloads. (CVE-2024- 4950)
Successful exploitation of most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow for arbitrary code execution in the context of the logged on user. Depending on the privileges associated with the user an attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than those who operate with administrative user rights.
RECOMMENDATIONS: We recommend the following actions be taken:
- Apply appropriate updates provided by Google to vulnerable systems immediately after appropriate testing. (M1051: Update Software)
- Safeguard 7.1: Establish and Maintain a Vulnerability Management Process: Establish and maintain a documented vulnerability management process for enterprise assets. Review and update documentation annually, or when significant enterprise changes occur that could impact this Safeguard.
- Safeguard 7.4: Perform Automated Application Patch Management: Perform application updates on enterprise assets through automated patch management on a monthly, or more frequent, basis.
- Safeguard 7.7: Remediate Detected Vulnerabilities: Remediate detected vulnerabilities in software through processes and tooling on a monthly, or more frequent, basis, based on the remediation process.
- Safeguard 9.1: Ensure Use of Only Fully Supported Browsers and Email Clients: Ensure only fully supported browsers and email clients are allowed to execute in the enterprise, only using the latest version of browsers and email clients provided through the vendor.
- Apply the Principle of Least Privilege to all systems and services. Run all software as a non-privileged user (one without administrative privileges) to diminish the effects of a successful attack. (M1026: Privileged Account Management)
- Safeguard 4.7: Manage Default Accounts on Enterprise Assets and Software: Manage default accounts on enterprise assets and software, such as root, administrator, and other pre-configured vendor accounts. Example implementations can include: disabling default accounts or making them unusable.
- Safeguard 5.4: Restrict Administrator Privileges to Dedicated Administrator Accounts: Restrict administrator privileges to dedicated administrator accounts on enterprise assets. Conduct general computing activities, such as internet browsing, email, and productivity suite use, from the userās primary, non-privileged account.
- Restrict execution of code to a virtual environment on or in transit to an endpoint system. (M1048: Application Isolation and Sandboxing)
- Use capabilities to detect and block conditions that may lead to or be indicative of a software exploit occurring. (M1050: Exploit Protection)
- Safeguard 10.5: Enable Anti-Exploitation Features: Enable anti-exploitation features on enterprise assets and software, where possible, such as MicrosoftĀ® Data Execution Prevention (DEP), WindowsĀ® Defender Exploit Guard (WDEG), or AppleĀ® System Integrity Protection (SIP) and Gatekeeperā¢.
- Restrict use of certain websites, block downloads/attachments, block Javascript, restrict browser extensions, etc. (M1021: Restrict Web-Based Content)
- Safeguard 9.2: Use DNS Filtering Services: Use DNS filtering services on all enterprise assets to block access to known malicious domains.
- Safeguard 9.3: Maintain and Enforce Network-Based URL Filters: Enforce and update network-based URL filters to limit an enterprise asset from connecting to potentially malicious or unapproved websites. Example implementations include category-based filtering, reputation-based filtering, or through the use of block lists. Enforce filters for all enterprise assets.
- Safeguard 9.6: Block Unnecessary File Types: Block unnecessary file types attempting to enter the enterpriseās email gateway.
- Inform and educate users regarding the threats posed by hypertext links contained in emails or attachments especially from un-trusted sources. Remind users not to visit un-trusted websites or follow links provided by unknown or un-trusted sources. (M1017: User Training)
- Safeguard 14.1: Establish and Maintain a Security Awareness Program: Establish and maintain a security awareness program. The purpose of a security awareness program is to educate the enterpriseās workforce on how to interact with enterprise assets and data in a secure manner. Conduct training at hire and, at a minimum, annually. Review and update content annually, or when significant enterprise changes occur that could impact this Safeguard.
- Safeguard 14.2: Train Workforce Members to Recognize Social Engineering Attacks: Train workforce members to recognize social engineering attacks, such as phishing, pre-texting, and tailgating.

2024.05.16 03:19 Open_Garden_6521 Turning a window well into a place budgies can fly around?
I want to turn my bedroom window well into a little extra area for them to be able to fly around in. Obviously Iād make the window itself bird safe and secure some sort of cover at the top so they canāt fly away. I want to make sure this isnāt a dumb idea though, can anyone think of anything that could go wrong? It would only be in appropriate weather and Iād leave the window open so they can fly inside whenever they want.

2024.05.16 03:18 PSUJacob95 Do most charging stations allow overnight charging?
I was thinking about getting into "van life" where you travel and sleep in your vehicle, but I absolutely need air-conditioning when I sleep in hot climates. I know the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has something called "Room Mode" where you can run the A/C (or heat) all night off the battery without the gas engine ever needing to kick in to recharge the traction battery since the vehicle needs to be plugged into a charger for this mode of operation.
But are you generally allowed to stay overnight at a ChargePoint station or something similar? I know if a particular charging station is busy, then it's just good etiquette to get fully charged and then leave and make room for the next person. But I was thinking if I arrive at a charge station at like 10 or 11pm at night and nobody is there, then who is gonna care if I hookup and stay until 8 or 9am? I like the idea of staying at a charge station since I won't get some nosy cop or security guard knocking on my window at 3am asking why I am sleeping there, as opposed to staying in a private lot like a Walmart or Lowe's.

| Hi, I'm completely stuck on the message "Domain is not reachable on Port 443 from within this container. I've watched videos, searched everywhere in forums and video's but to no avail.
