In case you don't know, the Sun Princess is Princess Cruises' latest behemoth ship, carrying around 3,000 guests and 1,000 crew at full capacity. I just got back from a 2-week sailing and took meticulous notes on this epic new vessel. Here's my extremely detailed, no-BS review:

The Sheer Size is Nuts

When I say this ship is massive, I mean it's absolutely nuts how big this floating city is. Especially when you get off in ports and have to walk back down the dock to reboard - that's when the sheer scale of the Sun Princess really hits you. Even though it carries a ton of people, the only time it really felt crowded was during breakfast. The Eatery fills up quick and the International Cafe, which sits outside The Eatery doesn't lend itself well for crowds of people wiaint for their coffees. You kind of end up waiting in the middle of where the walking traffic moves.

The Medallion Life

Your entire cruise experience revolves around the new Medallion wearable device and app, for better or worse. I'll admit it has some creepy "Big Brother" vibes with how much it tracks your every movement and purchase. But the convenience it provides is undeniable.
The medallion is your modern day "cruise card" that you tap everywhere to make payments, order drinks, unlock your stateroom, get on/off the ship, and more. But what's crazy is the app can use the medallion to detect your location anywhere on board. Order a drink or meal through the app and the server will manage to find you anywhere on the ship to deliver it, usually within 15 minutes. Caveat: there were times when it took longer and other times when our order was marked "delivered" and it never arrived.
The medallion definitely feels like getting on/off the ship is way faster. The only time we ever waiting in line was for the few minutes it took people to run through security.
This made getting food/drinks almost too easy. On port days when we needed to get off the ship early for excursions, setting up a scheduled delivery of my Egg McMuffin, fruit plate in coffee was really convenient.
Fair warning though - if you're anti-tracking and value privacy over convenience, the ubiquitous Medallion system may not be for you.
Story: we were sitting by the Crooners bar having our nightly pre-dinner cocktail. The bar was packed on this night for some reason. A staff member in a suit started wandering the room, made eye contact with me from 40-feet away and then made a b-line for us. He wanted to sign us up for a wine/food pairing event they were having. I have to believe this is because of the tracking being done via the meddalion. They could see we drink our share of wine. It definitely felt like targeted marketing.

Premium Package Was Best for Us

We opted for the Premium beverage package at $80 per day and I'm glad we did for a few reasons:

1. If you need to have more than one device connected to the internet at a time, Premium makes sense just based on that (you can have four devices). The cheaper Plus package only allows one device, which was a non-starter for me needing both my phone and laptop to be online. I'm unfortunately not able to just live off the grid for almost three weeks and need to periodically check in with my clients.
2. The wine selection is way better with Premium vs Plus. As a wine drinker, the upgrade was 100% worth it.
3. Two free speciality dining meals are included, which was clutch on our 2-week cruise to break up the repetition of the main dining rotation.
4. Unlimited premium desserts and ice creams - a nice perk for those with a sweet tooth.

Basically, Premium removed almost any need to think about or worry over costs on board. For $80 per day, the premium drinks, speciality dining, better wines, desserts and internet made it an easy choice for our group's needs.
And for those wondering about the 15 drink per day limit (since there's almost a weekly post asking about it) - it was never an issue for me. I'm a scrotch drinker and to get a decent pour, you basically have to order a double. Even drinking doubles, I never got to 15 drinks/day. This even includes sea days where we'd typically have a mimosa or two with breakfast, a few cocktails/beers at the pool, an cocktail or two before dinner and then wine at dinner.

Staff & Service

I can't say enough about how incredible and friendly the service was across the board on the Sun Princess. Our room steward, waiters, bartenders - everyone went so above and beyond daily, it really elevated the experience. I'm always amazed how they remember everyone's names.
However, we did notice a clear slip in the quality of service in the second week compared to the first, likely due to a crew changeover partway through our sailing. Simple things like forgetting drink orders or getting meals wrong became more frequent from our new set of MDR servers.

Suites & Staterooms

We originally booked a balcony room. When the bid offer came in I followed some old advice and just placed bids on upgrades because "you don't have to take the offer if you don't like it." Well guess what, that's not the case anymore. My offer was accepted and we automatically became the proud recipients of a Reserve Mini-Suite for an additional $500. In hindsight, I'm glad it worked out. The room has noticably more space than a standard balcony room. These mini-suites are spacious, basically a separate living room and bedroom divided by a curtain you can close off. Having two TVs and an extra closet was great.
As mini-suite guests we also received a nice amenity of free premium wines in our room - on the second week they even topped us up with two more complementary bottles! I guess each week is looked at as a new sailing -- so you get two more bottles! Some older posts complained about the wine quality. It looks like it's been upgraded because we received a Pinot Noir and Chard from La Crema. Being California wine people, La Crema works great for us. If you can swing it, I'd highly recommend going for a mini-suite over a regular balcony.
That being said, I'd avoid the "Cabana" balcony suites. The layout is really bizarre and in my opinion a downgrade. When you walk out onto your balcony, it's not really a balcony. There's another area in front of your balcony that connects a few other cabana suites. The idea is that a few rooms share a private balcony with jacuzzi. However, it also means that walking out onto your balcony doesn't give you a private ocean view because there's this 20-30 feet of additional patio in front of you and everyone above you just looks down into your balcony area.

Dining Highs & Lows

Main Dining Rooms

It can be confusing because there are three floors (Decks 6, 7 and 8). We reserved dining in the MDR prior to the trip via the app for the first few days just so we knew there was a guaranteed place to eat. On night one, the dining room manager introduced himself to us and said he went ahead and booked our table for us every night of the trip. If we didn't show, it was fine.
Food quality in the main dining rooms (MDRs) was consistently good across breakfast and dinner. On port days, it's an "express breakfast" which just means a shorter list of options. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid and tasty. My biggest gripe here is the operating hours. On sea days, the MDR closes for breakfast at 9:00am. You basically have to choose between sleeping in a little, hitting the gym, or getting a decent breakfast.
Pro-Tip: Biggest breakfast tip is stay away from the scrammbled eggs -- they're gross. We figured out that the scrambled eggs come from a bag. If you want real, cracked eggs, either get an omelett or over easy/medium/hard/etc.

Reserve Suite Dining Access

The Reserve mini-suite gives you access to the Reserve Restaurant. It's a little bit more elevated of a dining experience and reservations aren't needed -- you just show up. We dined her a few times and it did feel more elevated. Unlike the MDR, the server in the Reserve Restaurant feels more personal because they're handling smaller groups.

Lido Deck

For more casual fare, the Lido deck had some surprises like an awesome made-to-order salad bar station that became my go-to for healthier meals between all the indulgent dining. The burger grill, taco station and pizza areas were pretty standard, but that salad bar slapped.

Lackluster Buffet

On the flip side, The Eatery buffet left a lot to be desired. Despite different themed stations, the quality was mid at best. We largely avoided eating at the buffet outside of quick breakfast grabs. The Eatery closes for breakfast around 10:00 AM. At which point if you move further into the ship, the restaurants that are normall Catch and Butcherblock become a buffet extension that's opened later -- it's kind of funky.
The layout of the buffet is weird and leaves people wondering if they're cutting in line especially when you go to the extended buffet at Catch/Butcherblock.
What's odd to me is you can go grab a million cheese plates, fruit plates or hummus/veggie plates at the buffet. But if you order those things through the Medallion app, it's not "complimentary." You have to pay like $4.99-$5.99 for those items. We still can't figure out why it costs $5 to order a tiny cheese plate but ordering a cheeseburger is free.

Specialty Dining Winners

We used our two speciality dining credits at Crown Grill and Butcher's Block. I was a little worried because I had read mixed reviews on here about both of these restaurants. However, both meals were really good and before you come at me, I'm a foodie guy -- I'd tell you if they sucked.
We chose Crown for my parent's anniversay dinner. The service was awesome and they made us all feel really special. The setup here is like a steakhouse, where you order your beef and then the sides are a la carte family style. We had a group of seven -- the manager just said "we'll bring you out all the sides, enough for your whole party" which was great.
The next week, we hit up Butcher's Block by Dario. I've never left a meal more full on a cruise ship than at this place. It's family style dining and they just bring out everything for you -- almost like a brazilian barbecue place. We started with a bread appetizer and a glass of wine while you wait for them to get the dining room setup. Then there's more bread on the table + veggies. Then the food starts coming out: beef tartar; beef carpaccio; etc. The main event is the massive tomahawks and porterhouse steaks they carve up tableside. They'll just keep putting beef on your plate until you beg them to stop. Finally, there's desert and a grappa digestif.
Both restaurants were great experiences and a very welcomed change from the MDR after a week of repetition. The food, service and overall vibe were a noticeable step up.

Spellbound

We also splurged one night for the Spellbound immersive magic/dinner experience and it was easily a cruise highlight despite the $150/pp price tag. After an elevated multi-course meal, you get ushered by a guy in a top hat into an exclusive hidden club. While waiting for the magic show, you hang out in their bar which is reminiscent of the Dinseyland Haunted Mansion. While enjoying your drink, there's a magician perorming more intement magic for everyone at the bar. Once they're ready for the show, you're brought into the room where the actual magic show takes place. Afterwards, you're welcome to hang out in the Spellbound bar and continue drinking.
If you're from LA, you probably know about the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Spellbound is an extension of the Magic Castle. Just like with the Magic Castle, you show up in formal wear. This means a coat and tie for the men and an evening gown/dress for the woman.
Overall, we really enjoyed it.

Room Service

This was hit or miss for us. You fill out the paper door hangar and place it on your doorknob before heading to bed. Then you hope and pray that it will actually arrive -- which in two of our instances, it never did. Your options are also super limited. You also may or may not receive what you actually ordered. With coffee for instance, you have a choice of ordering it to-go (paper cup) or stay (actual coffe cup). We always seemed to get the opposite of what we ordered to the point where it became a running joke for us.

International Cafe

This became our goto for a lot of things: coffee, snacks, quick breakfast food (pastries, coffee cake, avodcado toast, Egg McMuffins). Werid fact though: if you order the Egg McMuffin through the app, it comes as an egg patty just like McDonalds and with cheese. When you get the one at International Cafe, it's just an over easy egg and no cheese. Why they can't just be the same is odd.

Night Owl Needs

My main dining gripe was the lack of solid late night food options for us night owls. The Eatery buffet closed at an absurd 10:30pm, leaving only spotty room service or mobile ordering as the choices if you worked up an appetite after evening activities. More robust late-night casual dining would be appreciated.

Bars & Alcohol

Overall, great selection of cocktails. All of the bars have their own little theme and different menus. The ladies I was with were consitently impressed at the quality and thought of the cocktails at each bar. They were also super impressed with the quality of the glassware being used. I must admit, everything from the rocks glasses to the martini glasses really were beautiful.
If you just want straight spirits, you have to order a double to get a normal pour (they're actually measuring out the pours). That being said, with either Plus or Premium, you'll get a good selection of top quality booze.
You gotta try really hard to hit the 15-drink max. Some days I had drinks at breakfast, during the day, lunch, before dinner, during dinner and after dinner. I never hit my max.
One thing that impressed me was staff actually being concerned about drink quality. We were having drinks at one of the bars on the Lido deck. The supervisor was upset with the bartenders because they ran out of premium liquor and hadn't requested more. He made sure to remind them that when someone orders a premium drink they get a premium liquor -- no exceptions.
You also must checkout the Good Spirits bar. There's a few times throughout the night where you watch a live cocktail demonstration. The bartenders at GS are so fun and playful -- really makes for a great vibe.

Amenities - Hits & Misses

The gym facilities on board were a bit of a disappointment, especially for a new ship. While they had a nice assortment of cardio machines, the actual weight room was laughably small with only a few pieces of strength equipment that were always monopolized. Not a deal-breaker, but an area that could be improved.
The pool areas were nicely spread out across different sections of the Lido deck. On sailing days, there was typically a band, the DJ and then a random movie on the jumbotron. The random blasting of action movies at 3pm really ruined the pool vibe and it's typically when the deck would thin out. One minute you're relaxing in the jacuzzi, the next an action movie with explosions is shaking the pool area. It made no sense and seemed tailored for a much younger crowd despite this sailing's passengers being mostly older adults.

Technology & Support

In addition to the Medallion app, the overall internet speeds on board were fast and reliable enough for me to easily stay connected for basic work needs.
The technology support via the app's live chat feature, however, was utterly useless. Any time we had issues properly being charged for drink packages or had to modify reservations, the live chat was a time-wasting nightmare. You're clearly just talking to an outsourced rep with zero actual knowledge of Princess' systems or operations. Your best bet is to go in-person to the guest services desk.

Other Notes & Quibbles

• Dress codes weren't enforced at all. We did the whole suite/gown routine for formal nights only to see plenty of people still rocking jeans and t-shirts in the MDR. Same lack of enforcement for the "formal attire required" Spellbound event. Either lose the formal nights or enforce them.
• Our drink package tallies often had errors, with our group's drinks randomly getting combined onto one person's account. Always double check and ask for corrections.
• The "Cabana" balcony suite layout is bizarre - your balcony is just a shared landing in front of other suites, rather than a private space. We avoided these after hearing the lack of privacy.

The crowd cheers for both teams as they make their entrance. The match starts off with Dominik Mysterio & Charlie Dempsey. Dempsey immediately used his technical expertise against mysterio tripping him up and putting him in a headlock takedown. Holding him down there but Dom gets out of it and pushes Charlie into the ropes and leapfrogs over Charlie and then hits him with a beautiful dropkick taking Charlie down. Dominik starts getting aggressive and grounding and pounding on him for a little bit before picking Charlie back up and tries to Irish whip him into the corner but Charlie reverses it into a bridging hammer throw into the corner of the judgment day. JD tags in and faces off against Charlie Dempsey. JD strikes Charlie with a huge strike followed by another but Charlie strikes back with a huge palm strike and a nice chop but JD fights back they continue going back and forth for a couple minutes before JD Knocks Charlie loopy with a Headbutt. JD trys to drag JD to the corner but Charlie gets out with a big kick trying to get out crawling to tag in Claudio but JD grabs his leg but Charlie hits him with a back mule kick and gets the tag to Claudio. Claudio goes off immediately giving a huge European uppercut to JD and then a big punch knocking Dom off the Apron. Claudio picks up JD for the Ricola Bomb but JD punches him in the face and then reverses it into a hurricarana. Claudio gets caught in the corner JD starts to hit Claudio with kicks and elbows before Dominik gets back up and JD tags him in. JD hits a head butt on Claudio, slings him up with a Delvin slide like maneuver but Dominik catches him with a back suplex, taking down Claudio. Claudio getting back up but hit by a Superkick into the ropes and Dom clotheslines Claudio over the rope and runs off the ropes for a suicide dive but Charlie pulls Claudio aside and Dominik Mysterio lands head first on the edge of the announce table. Claudio gets back and looks to hit the ricola bomb on the announce table but JD takes out Claudio’s leg with a chop block and puts him on the announce table before Charlie hirs a German suplex but he lands on his feet and headbutts him hard. Jd wakes Dom up and tells him to go up top. JD holds Claudios Leg’s down and Dominik hits a frog splash off the top rope through the announce table. Jd throws Dominik into the ring and then Claudio into the ring. Dominik crawls to the cover 1…2…. CLAUDIO’s foot reached the rope. Dominik slowly gets up and sees Claudio grabbing the middle rope in position for a 619…. No caught by Claudio and drops him the ring for a swing… 1 2 3 4 5 6 JD then decides to get in the ring and jump Claudio taking out his knee. JD then holds Charlie off as Dominik rolls up Claudio 1…2…3

Roman Reigns vs David Finlay- World Championship Quarterfinals
This is a tough challenge for David Finlay but David goes at it head on and starts charging at Roman immediately spearing him in the corner over and over again. But Roman fights back and spears David in the corner with multiple shoulder thrusts. Roman then picks David up and starts berating him before picking him for a powerbomb that David reverses or a sunset flip roll up 1… kickout by Roman quickly. Roman gets up looking at David angrily. David slaps Roman in the face trying to get in Roman’s head. Roman pissed starts throwing multiple shots over and over again pissed off. Roman gets cocky and mocks David and start grounding and pounding him but David catches him and rolls him up again 1…2 kickout David starts feeling himself and starts fighting back with strikes and kicks finally knocking Roman down with a dropkick. David Finlay picks himf got a suplex for a quick cover but Roman picks out at 2. David goes to the ropes and hits Roman with a clothesline but Roman reverses hit a clothesline followed by another one and then a leaning clothesline. Going to the corner calls for a Superman punch. Runs at him and hits him with a Superman punch. Roman goes to the corner again “OOOOOOAHHHHHH” SPEARRRR NO a knee to the face. Off the ropes Roman goes for the spear again but David Finlay pushes Roman to the side runs to the other side of the ring and runs at him to hit a spear of his own. David Finlay picks up Roman hits then Trash panda for the cover 1….2… ROMAN KICKS OUT. David picks him over for a suplex…. THE OVERKILL 1…2…3

Jamie Hayter vs Dakota Kai- women’s championship quarterfinal
This match starts off with a back and forth between 2 great strikers in the women’s division. They both get the upper hand through this match. At the end of the match Dakota Kai catches Hayter with a pump kick that knocks her loopy. Dakota then goes off the rope for the kairopractor but Jamie rolls out of the ring before Kai can get the pin. Dakota goes outside and brings Hayter back in. Dakota looks for another kairopractor but Hayter capitalizes and hits her with a huge lariat flipping her upside down both are down but Hayter gets back up and reversed a kick by Kai and grabs her for the HAYTERADE. 1….2….3

Bullet Club Wardogs (Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) vs GYV (Zack Gibson & James Drake)- tag team championship tournament quarterfinals
The Bullet Club looks to get farther in another tournament against GYV legends here in England. James Drake and Drilla Moloney start the match. They lock up but Drilla just kicks James in the gut. Drilla then starts immediately trying to beat down James and starts throwing punches and kicks to the head of James. Drilla then picks up James and hits a suplex for a quick pin 1…2 kickout. Drilla goes to the ropes and looks for a big boot but James ducks it and tags in Zack. Zack springboards into the ring clothesline to Drilla. Then takes out clark off the ropes. Drilla rolls Zack up 1… kickout by Zack Drilla then locks Zack in a headlock but Zack reverses and hits a dropkick on Drilla. Zack gets good offense on Drilla before clark gets the tag. The continue both teams getting the upper hand against each other and Drilla is in the ring with Young Vets at ringside Drilla hits a suicide dive heat seeking dropkick on both throwing James back in the ring. Drilla looks for the Drilla Killa but James reverses it and picks him up for a spinning tombstone but Zack comes out of nowhere and hits the code breaker hitting the TICKET TO MAYHEM. Zack then jumps out the ring on Clark taking Clark out. The cover by James 1…2…3

I don’t know enough about Guilia so I’m not gonna fully book this match but I’ll give the ending

The match starts off and xia and Tiffany circling around the ring before locking up and they wrestle around the ring for a little while but Tiffany grabs her arm and kicks her in the knee before hitting an arm breaker against the mat. Tiffany continues beating on xia before xia fights back and starts throws strike after strike going back and forth for awhile they continue the match both girls getting the upper hand both getting exhausted. At the end of the match xia hits a Superkick on Stratton knocking her off the ropes and Stratton cartwheels toward Brookside and hits her with an Alabama slam. Week 1 I did Raid Report and looked at raid completions for the raids as they related to the pantheon encounters. But as I and a lot of others found, that sometimes didn’t mean much. Between being ‘ad clear’, boss checkpoint clears, and being outright carried, you still had a bunch of people join pantheon with raid “experience” only to not know what they’re doing. But once people got clears, just ask for the emblem to join. Now this doesn’t 100% guarantee you get top raiders, but they at least beat the whole thing and have a general understanding.
Week 2. It’s been 7 days of raiding, simply put, must have last weeks emblem to join. Well, it worked for the most part, but you still typically struggle with 1 or 2 bosses, finding out the groups weakness, but overall week 2 was easier than week 1. You can still raid report if you want, but as long as they have the emblem it’s not super necessary.
Week 3: 14 days of raiding. Simply ask for the week 2 emblem, should pretty much be a breeze now, right? Cue today’s golgoroth experience. Only 2 people talking, one person types and says no mic he’ll text, because yes, it’s super common to come into raids and pantheon with no communication…. First person to talk ASKS WHO will be doing gaze, not offering to grab it. Now me personally, I’m a big raider. I know every role to every encounter to every raid. I usually speak up last and take what’s left / whatever seems like our group is weakest on. And when we struggle as a team I’m the first to volunteer to switch up because I know I’ll handle it better and maybe the slacker will excel in a different role. Well, it took a minute, but we got myself by force and finally one volunteer to grab gaze who said, I’ll do it, but I’ll need time to warm up. WARM UP? To shooting a massive crit with 1 bullet? Huh?? Then we have people killing each other with the exploding debuff, dying to silly things, not knowing what to equip because it’s not a solar surge. I required people have the week 2 emblem, but it’s like they’re all blueberries.
Like come on, you’ve beaten golgorath AT LEAST twice in your life, and you can’t cut it a third time?
The LFG life is rough. Unless you have a close knit group of guys that you know are competent and you work well with, there are just 0 guarantees in the LFG world. You can only carry so hard, offer so much advice, make so many recommendations, offer to do the hardest roles so many times… It just hurts…

What happened:
So, the other day, (Sunday), Chome was being really slow and laggy, so I closed a few tabs until there were only one or two tabs open. That didn't fix the lag, so I closed Chrome and restarted my laptop (Windows 11, if relevant).
When I opened it back up, it obviously updated, because the 'new update available' icon wasn't visible in the top right anymore (I hadn't closed chrome for a while at that point, so it never updated until then).
However, I quickly noticed that the background I use wasn't loading, and my shortcuts were replaced by websites I requently visit or just recently visited. The middle search bar was also missing. This weirded me out, so i typed a few discriptors into the top search bar to see if it had anything to do with a new update or something.
When the results came up, they were on yahoo! and not google. This caused me to immediately panic, because I had just installed Bluestacks on my laptop (which, as far as I know, has a bit of a bad reputation when it comes to being safe, at least on Reddit), and I have had the unfortunate experience of having downloaded a trojan and a browser hijacker on my pc before (different device, in case you're wondering).
I then noticed the yahoo! icon to the left of the top search bar. My immediate thoughts were that it was a browser hijacker that came or was introduced by installing Bluestacks. I immediately deleted everything Bluestacks (all the .exes, folders, everything that came with it), or at least everything I could find that was related to it. I deleted it permanently, and removed the program from control panel. There was a file or two that I needed to look up in order to delete, but it's gone now.
After doing a bit of searching on Microsoft Bing (I have it on my computer and I didn't feel safe using Chrome/Yahoo!) I restored my Chrome to default settings and it seemed to remove the yahoo thing (and my background, but I wan't that upset about it because it was one of the ones in the google collection thing) and my shortcuts turned back to normal. Basically, everything at this point turned back to normal.
Afterwards:
I then started to do a little bit more digging to find if there was anything about this effect/bug/thing. I found the thing in chrome that allows you to change search engines. When I toggled it to yahoo! the icon on the top search bar thing was replicated, but it just showed the default yahoo! screen instead of the bugged screen I saw prior to defaulting my settings.
I noted that the yahoo thing didn't mess with incognito (I tested it, while I didn't search anything on incognito when the bug occured, the icon thing in the top search bar wasn't there). I also had my school account as a Chrome profile for easier access while doing school homework. I opened that up, and it seemed to be normal.
To be clear, all of the above paragraph occured during the bug, prior to the reset.^^^
I messed a bit with the other search engines to see if I could replicate the bugged screen. While on my regular account it seemed to bring me to the default page of the search engine (yahoo, yandex, etc.), on my school account (where many things are blocked, three of the search engines were blocked but that doesn't matter that much to me), and I managed to get something close to the bugged screen with yandex *(first image I included in this post).
Yesterday, I managed to find a reddit post that included an image of a screen that looked almost completely identical to what my bugged screen looked like, except it was red (which I assume had something to do with their theme, and not any bug).

What I need help with:
As this incident freaked me out a bit, I want to know what caused it and if it is still on my computer and will reoccur or something, or if it was a one-off bug. Obviously I'm not a professional or anything, and I just wanted to see if anyone on this reddit knew what this was and if I should be concerned or not.
My take:
After a bit of investigation after the incident, I got mostly that it was one of three possibilities.
Firstly, that it was a bug caused by new updates (again, hadn't updated Chrome for a period of time before this incident), and not anything malicious.
Secondly, it was caused by me downloading Bluestacks, causing malware to fiddle its way into my computer. I scanned it (my computer) with Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Premium Trial, and nothing came up. I also uninstalled Bluestacks quickly after I discovered this problem (not saying that this wasn't the case, but just stating measures I took that could affect the probability of this being the problem.
Thirdly, it was an extension. Okay, there are kinda two possibilities here too, but one is far more likely than the other.
First, the less likely possibility, there is some sort of malicious extension on my chrome browser that caused the issue. However, I don't have any extensions that may be malicious: Malwarebytes, Kindle, Return Youtube Dislke (which I deleted after this incident), Google Docs Offline, uBlock Origin, and Mcafee WebAdvisor (which is my next point).
Second, the more likely possibility, is that it was Mcafee changing my browser. I've only heard about it on reddit posts, but apparently it was a larger(?) problem 2 years ago? I haven't seen any image of this to know what it looks life to be sure but it is a possibility that it was Mcafee WebAdvisor that caused this problem (which I'm okay with, if this was because of Mcafee- cause it's not going to harm me like a virus would).

Early 30s, M/HCOL location. Single and expect to stay that way indefinitely. Do not want kids.
Goal: Open an art studio and work at least part time making art indefinitely. I've made art and sold it since I was a kid, otherwise I'd drown in my own stuff. I get more requests than I can fill currently, and I've consistently grossed 6-10k the last few years on the side with minimal/moderate effort from freelance contracts, product sales, and teaching, all while also working full time, moving multiple times, job changes, gaining and losing studio space, volunteering, staying active, etc. I'm starting to burn out doing it all at the same time for years now however, and it's affecting my mental and consequently physical health.
Current employment: My current work structure/colleagues/management leave a lot to be desired and the work can be both very boring, political, chaotic and stressful at times, with high staff turnover, but I've worked in worse places overall. The pay is about 30% over what I could get at any other employer locally on top of great vacation and benefits which kind of makes up for it? The industry in general sucks and is not helping the burnout situation.
Why now (or in the next year or so) vs. full FIRE or at least a fatter coast while the money is flowing? The main person who runs an arts program/business in my community is retiring soon and has expressed wanting an apprentice for some of his contracts. He doesn't make a lot, but he's been doing it for 30 years, raised 3 kids while divorced on it, and goes to Mexico for a month every year. It seems like a fantastic opportunity to inherit a developed client base, possibly buy cheap materials/equipment, and general support to launch into the next phase.
My original, "5 year plan," was to shovel any money free after filling registered accounts into the mortgage so the value at renewal in 3 years is very low and then either fully pay it off or extend the amortization period depending on rates/life at that point. The idea being to reduce cash flow requirements to as minimal as possible before leaving my current employment vs. possibly having to pull down on investments for a year or two to bridge the gap, but functionally I'm not sure it makes a huge difference if you looked at market return vs. debt payoff over time, plus hopefully still adding to the stash here and there in the future.
My current employment as is is not tenable for 3 more years, but there are lots of other possible options such as finding another job that doesn't suck nearly as much energy and lets me break even on expenses for those 3 years. There is a small chance I could move to part time in my current role, but it depends on things mostly out of my control. I've planted the seed with another friend/possible employer about mutually beneficial contract work with them, to float a few years between now and 100% art, but that's also in the end up to them.
Question: If you were me, how comfortable would you feel leaving the golden handcuffs in roughly a year to work your ass off on something you've always wanted, but are also scared it will be a terrible choice to go into a "non-essential" field while the environment and consequently society starts to collapse around us? That last point makes me feel like YOLO and max conservatism are both very valid in different ways.

Hey to anyone reading this heres my story
I dabbled in opiates roxys ,opana ,anything i could get for 3 to 4 years. Daily addiction that started recreational I didnt understand sickness at first I thought I was immune and could always just lay it down.
One year I very good friend of mine killed himself and at that point I was addicted and did not handle it well. This is when I started doing Fent daily the blues but mostly I loved the white sweet tasting powder was spending 100-200 daily.
Where I loved the feeling and the way it stripped the depression from my mind I wanted to quit. Aside from physical withdraws that fucking suck lets be honest for me personally the mental issues were my biggest struggle . I would see people be "sick" but still have personality . I was fucking blank miserable suicide was a constant thought.
I ended up getting indicted by the Feds (the ATF) where I withdrew the first 3 days in jail (do not recommend) but it was what I needed. on top of the added pressure of If I failed my drug test I would easily be doing 2 to 4 years fed time.
I am now 3+ years clean . anyways putting this out here to let people know it is possible even though it seems like its not in the moment. Im here for any questions if this post is ever found.
Just reading success stories kept me motivated when I was in deep withdraw all the many many times I tried to quit.

Blaineley announces that Cameron has won the second chance challenge and is now back in the game. Cameron is incredulous, and Beardo, Ella, & Harold cheer for him, and Blaineley asks if she will get her money. Geoff laughs & says that they just barely went over time, which very much pisses off Blaineley, causing her to charge at Geoff. Security comes & captures her, and Geoff says that the next Aftermath will be at the secret finale location. As Blaineley is getting dragged away by security, Geoff signs off the episode, saying that he’ll see everyone next time.
Niagara Brawls
The episode opens with the Max clone scurrying around, playing with a sharp rock, and subsequently hiding when he sees the interns dragging the contestants to the cargo hold. The scene then cuts to a sleeping Max, who is having a dream about inventing things with Owen & Izzy. Scott, Sugar, & Topher then show up on hoverboards, destroying their work with lightning bolts. Max is thrown in the air, subsequently waking up & realizing that he and the other contestants have been thrown out of the plane.
Max promptly screams, waking everyone else up. While falling, two swan pedal boats are also falling with them. The contestants cling onto the boats as they fall and land in the water, making Anne Maria yell at Chris, as Staci shouts “Water!” This annoys Scott, but he & everyone else then see that they’re all heading toward a massive waterfall. Sugar laments about how she can’t win any more pageants when she dies, Dawn wishes her families good will, & Topher says that he fully doesn’t like Chris now. With Zoey though, she has turned into Commando Zoey, and uses her strength to throw Sugar into the other boat as an anchor, before furiously paddling both boats to safety. On the shore, Anne Maria compliments Zoey’s quick thinking & skills, and Scott is thinking. In the confessional, Scott says that Zoey must go ASAP, as she seems to be a big physical threat.
On shore, Chris reveals their location by telling the contestants that Niagara Falls is awesome, explaining that it is the jewel in Canada's crown and one of the top ten natural wonders in the world, also known for its fabulous casino, the place where they will head for the next part of the challenge, only to find themselves in the concert theater because all of them are underage. Topher asks if anyone will perform here, and Chris says that it’ll happen, as the last Aftermath episode has returned a contestant back to the game. Scott & Sugar are praying that it’s Sierra who returns, Max & Staci want Owen & Sadie respectively, and Chris then announces that it’s in fact Cameron who’s back in the game. Dawn is belated about this, and Cameron sings a song about Dawn & his friends, which is positively met.
Cameron asks Chris which team he’s on, and that he hopes it to be Team Amazon. Chris says that as of now it’s every man, woman, & Cameron for themselves, due to the teams being disbanded. Besides Scott, Sugar, & Topher, everyone is happy about this and is leering angrily at the villains. In the confessional, Sugar asks why everyone else is acting like they’re all friends, as this is Total Drama, not Total Friendship. With Zoey, she’s saying that she is excited at the chance of eliminating Scott or Sugar
Chris then announces that, since they are in the honeymoon capital of the world, they will be in pairs for "arranged marriages." The boys are placed in a giant casino machine, while the girls will pull the lever to see who their husband will be to team up for today's challenge and for Chris' own amusement, adding Bacon the bear in the slot machine, too.
Dawn pulls first, getting Scott, to which she slams the door on, crushing Scott’s arm. Dawn says that she’d prefer Bacon to Scott, making Chris give Bacon to Dawn. Sugar pulls next, getting Topher. Topher looks mostly indifferent to this, and Sugar suggests sabotaging everyone to gain victory, which Topher agrees with. Topher then asks what they should do with Scott, and Sugar says to treat him just like the others, as Sugar is in grave danger of being kicked if she loses.
Zoey pulls, hoping it’s not Scott, and gets Cameron. When Cameron sees this, he says that while he would rather have Dawn, Zoey is cool. Staci gets Max and they fist-bump, and this leaves Anne Maria with Scott, much to their dismay.
In part one of the challenge, the grooms must guide their blindfolded brides to a wedding dress while avoiding several obstacles in the first part of the competition, and if they don't get a dress, they can't move on to the next challenge. Topher tells Sugar not to worry about this, as he is amazing at this. Scott initially messes with Anne Maria, sending her into a pool of pudding, and Anne Maria says that he better stop it, unless he wants to be eliminated.
With Sugar & Topher, Sugar has found the first dress. Sugar suggests sabotaging the other teams, so they can automatically get immunity, which Topher agrees with. Staci & Max are trying to get to a dress, and Max is constantly changing his instructions, as Topher ais moving stuff around to confuse them. Cameron is guiding Zoey when Sugar steals his glasses, which causes him to accidentally send Zoey into a giant cake. Zoey groans at this and asks Cameron what happened. Cameron apologizes and says that it happened because Sugar stole his glasses, which Zoey forcibly takes back.
With Dawn & Bacon, the bear has successfully taken Dawn to the wedding dresses, clinching Dawn’s spot in the next challenge. Scott gets Anne Maria to the wedding dresses successfully, and so does Cameron with Zoey. As Chris says that the first challenge is over, Staci is able to get her wedding dress, annoying Topher & Sugar.
For the second part of the challenge, Chris explains that the grooms must hold their brides on a tightrope as they walk through Niagara Falls — which is packed with hungry sharks below because Chris thought they weren't quite unpleasant enough — and then they must successfully clear customs, saying that the first pair to do so wins invincibility. The mere idea of sharks is making Scott quiver, along with Max & Topher as well. As Sugar & Topher got to the dresses first, they get a head start. As they go by, Sugar trips Zoey for no apparent reason. Topher asks why, and Sugar says that she’s simply trying to get a rise out of Zoey.
Up next is Staci & Max, and the latter is staring at the falls below. Staci asks if he’s alright, and Max says that he feels psyched out by the challenge, as it seems really easy to fall to your death with one misstep. He then regains his breath and Staci starts to carry him on the rope.
Back with Topher & Sugar, Sugar tells Topher to hold on tight. Topher asks what this means, and Sugar slightly shakes the rope from side-to-side, making Staci & Max fall off. Cameron is bewildered by this, as they were just walking fine before. Zoey & Cameron get onto the tightrope next, speeding after the villains while being very wary of the looming threat of the falls.
Dawn & Bacon are next, with the Bear upright, carrying Dawn in her arms. Chris is surprised that anyone could actually find a grizzly bear that would be a good teammate. Bacon walks onto the tightrope, which causes a significant dip that nearly knocks off Scott, Sugar, Cameron, and Dawn. Zoey angrily asks who did this, and Cameron tells her to calm down, as it was just Dawn & the bear, which makes Zoey feel sheepish.
At the front, Sugar & Topher are discussing how they should sabotage everybody else once again when they reach customs. Chef starts to ask the duo some questions, and they are turned back when Chef asks them in which state is it illegal to have a donkey sleep in your bathtub after 7 P.M. Sugar said Texas, but the answer was Oklahoma.
Zoey & Cameron run into Sugar & Topher, and neither side is willing to move. In a bout of anger, Zoey violently shakes the rope, sending Dawn, the bear, Cameron, Topher, & Sugar into the falls. Zoey is mortified at what she has done, and dives in as well, looking for Cameron & Dawn. Scott & Anne Maria are the last ones standing, and carefully cross the rope to customs, where they answer all the questions correctly. Chef asks if they have anything else to say, and Anne Maria says that she’s just glad to be done with the challenge. The contestants in the water are now thankfully in a motorboat that is being driven by the interns, as Chris begrudgingly realizes that the contestants can't die.
Vote anyone sans Scott or Anne Maria, vote somebody for immunity, and feel free to come up with any plot points!

I live in Maryland and was issued a noise complaint for being 20db over the legal limit at night. We had a small gathering in our backyard, and once the code enforcement told us we need to bring the noise level done we complied and everyone left immediately.
We were told it would be $500 and we were ready to pay it, this was our first infraction.
Just got the citation in the mail and on top of the $500 fine it says the following:
“The city of college park is seeking abatement for this infraction. You may be ordered to abate this infraction or be assessed the costs for the abatement, as well as a fine of up to $1000, plus court costs. Payment of the preset fine will not satisfy the abatement action and an order of abatement may still be entered against you.”
I was ready to pay the fine and be done with it before, but I do not know what to make of this now. I have the money to pay it, but it would be a huge hit to me financially. I am trying to get legal counsel, but lawyers are expensive and we are students. Wanted to see if anyone here has had any experience with this before.

After everything that's been going on in Egghead, and with some recent updates we've just received, it's safe to assume that the next arc will take place in the legendary island of Elbaf! Which is bound to be the best since the last few arcs so far!
Now I currently don't know how it will play out or if the Strawhats & their allies will really go there unless something gets in the way. But for this post, I will share with you a list of what my expectations are, whether you agree with me or not. So without further ado, let's begin shall we.
The Arc of God Usopp
This is pretty obvious! Ever since Little Garden, Usopp often talked about how he wanted to be like the Giants of Elbaf. And just like many people, I think going to that island should be the best & possibly the only time for him to shine like never before! This could even be a great opportunity for Usopp to:

• Improve on his CoO, and maybe even unlock more Haki abilities.
• Gain a new weapon, whether or not his current one got destroyed.
• Meet his "bad" father - Yasopp, which I'll talk more about a bit later.
• have one of his oldest & most iconic lies become reality!

The Library of Ohara (Robin & Saul's reunion)
Thanks to Vegapunk telling the SH about his visit to Ohara after the Buster Call, not only did we learn that most of the books were saved, but it turns out that Robin's old friend Saul survived & his currently hiding for his own safety! Which means that we will have a very unexpected reunion just around the corner, while also knowing more about the Void Century that even Vegapunk himself may not!
Vivi's involvement
To anyone who have been a fan of Vivi since the day Luffy's crew 1st entered the Grand Line, you should know that the Desert Princess also encountered Brogy & Dorry when they visited Little Garden. So it make sense she has an important role in Elbaf the moment she officially reunites with the SH as possibly their "final" member, while also having both Morgans & Wapol tag along with them!
Who knows, perhaps during their visit to where the books are located, we may learn more about her ancestor - Nefertari D. Lily (or Lili), and what really happened to after refusing to become a Celestial Dragon while also not returning to Alabasta. Which I will mention in another post about another society.
The Long awaited reunion between Emperors
Now I know that this has a 50/50 chance to come true. But with all the viking reference that the Red Hair Pirates has had until now, I believe that Luffy & Shanks's long awaited reunion as fellow Emperors should undoubtedly take place in Elbaf of all places! I also wouldn't be surprised if Shanks was partly responsible for having the Giants come to Egghead in the 1st place.
And although this is mostly a personal thing, I would like to see Luffy to use his CoC to knock out some of the new Red Hair Pirate members just like Shanks did with Whitebeard's when meeting him!
Plus, during that moment, besides just some chapter 1 tributes, as well as Usopp & Yasopp finally getting some fatheson time together, I would like Oda to have Luffy & Shanks talk about Ace, Bartolomeo, and even Blackbeard.
However, since the moment in Wano when Jinbe fought Who's Who, I would also like Luffy's latest crewmember to participate in the reunion by asking Shanks why he took the Nika Fruit from the Government, and what he was really going to do with it if Luffy never ate it!? Which now leads to the next part of my list!
More information about Nika
Thanks to Vegapunk's message in the recent chapter, not only did we have more confirmation that Joy Boy was the last known person to awaken the Nika Fruit, but the story of the Sun God himself originated in Elbaf of all places!
Now although the scientist may explain everything he knows about it in the next chapter or 2, I believe the Elbaf arc should be the perfect time to learn how Nika's legend began, and how it was eventually shared with other people like the Buccaneers, Lunarians, as well as the Skypieans!
Including the Fishman, since Jinbe said "the Warrior of liberation", which means that he & his fellow Fishmans know more about Nika than we were lead to think!
But most importantly, if the story Nika did originate in Elbaf, then that means the other Gods that were mentioned in Noland's flashback (the Gods of Rain, Forest, and Earth) could also share the same place of origin as the Sun God himself! Which might make us 1 step closer into finding out who the current users of the other Legendary Zoans are, and whether they are in good hands or not.
Plus, I believe that during that moment, Luffy himself should not sleep on this one, and I think Shanks will make sure of it! Who knows, this could help Luffy gain better understanding woth his powers, as well as give him the edge he needs to surpass Joyboy!
Kid's comeback & character development
Now I know that most people believe that Kid's character arc ended the moment Shanks used Divine Departure on him, and took his Poneglyph writting. And even if he does return, he'll become another Moriah!
However, I'm not one of those people, and I believe Kid's time is far from over!
From the Giants' perspective, Kid & Law are the 2 heroes that defeated Big Mom, one of their most hated enimes. So surely not everyone in Elbaf will like what Shanks, Brogy, & Dorry did to him, even though the Red Haired Emperor was trying to save his Fleet, and the 2 Giants were out of the loop while they were gone for so long.
In fact, if what happened to Kid was anything like how the Strawhats were defeated in Sabody, then surely either Shanks or anyone who was there at the time could've told Kid almost the same thing Kuma said to Luffy about how he & his crew weren't ready yet, but has faith in them.
After all, Luffy may be an Emperor, but he isn't the only Pirate representing his generation. The same can be said for Whitebeard before Roger died.
Plus, let's not also forget that Kid was the first person to mention the man marked by flame, so it make sense that he should stick around long enough to meet the person face to face.
And if that person saw what happened to Kid & his crew, and saved them from drowning, perhaps he could become his Rayleigh, but instead of just helping him become strong enough to also be an Emperor, the man would teach Kid a lesson in humility. Which is a common thing for most anime rival's character arc.
Of course, just like what we got from Law & Bonney recently, we may get to see Kid's sad backstory, which may confirm whether or not the theory of him being Vegapunk's "7th Sattelite" is true, since some of his moves has "Punk" in their names.
And also the reveal of his Devil Fruit is also as important as that of his fellow Supernovas since magnetism has had big role since the SH entered the Grand Line.
Hajrudin's role
When I read about how the Narrator stated that the Egghead Incident may shock the world, I honestly thought that this would become the best time for the Straw Hat Grand Fleet to appear during their Emperor's time of needs.
Unfortunately, that theory eventually became debunked due to everything that has happened since that speech.
However, I believe that the Strawhats' visit to Elbaf would make up for that, and the only reason I think so is because one of the Grand Fleet capitans is actually a native of Elbaf! That's right, I'm talking about the leader of the New Giant Warrior Pirates himself, Hajrudin!
Now in case you aren't aware, Hajrudin & his crew recently made some interesting Cameo appearances in both Big Mom & Vegapunk's respective flashbacks! Specifically, during Big Mom days with Mother Caramel, we see him & his crew as kids. And when Vegapunk & Dragon met in Ohara, he was one of the Giants lead by Saul to recover the books that survived the Buster Call!
With those facts, it would stand to reason that Hajrudin is bound to have an important role in Elbaf, which makes sense since this trope has been used by every citizen of a country the Strawhats has ever met until now.
The "revenge" of the Big Mom Pirates
Now Idk whether or not Big Mom herself will make another comeback, but I can suspect that the remnants of her crew would appear since they also have some unfinished business to settle, as well as the fact that they once tried to put aside their mother's differences with the giants by having Lola marry Loki. Which failed due to her decision making at the time.
And even though Kid & Law were responsible for Big Mom's seeming demise, it's possible that the Big Mom Pirates will also blame the Strawhats for that, whether or not this will make them feel bad for them!
However, I do think that during this encounter, it could also be a chance to learn that Pudding was Kid during the events in Wano, which may lead to the Strawhats will do next after Elbaf, and that will also be part of my next blog!

My school offers dual enrollment through a community college and our state school. Some people at my school do end up dual enrolling, but I’ve opted to take all AP classes instead (5 this year). The dual enrollment options do appear on the school profile sent to college. Will this hurt my application in terms of course rigor for top schools, especially if others from my school dial enrolled and are applying to the same schools as me?

Hi all, I wasn't sure if I should put this here or in the main FtM sub but I figured this might be a better place to post my woes.
Potential triggers: discussion of trauma, PTSD, health concerns, surgery, relationship issues
TL;DR: My partner has a lot of trauma and likely PTSD around caretaking, health issues of loved ones, and surgery, and is having an extremely hard time coping with the fact that I am moving forward with getting top surgery.
So the issue is in the title but there is more context and nuance to this situation, and I want to say outright that my partner (they/them) is extremely supportive of my transition in general and the issue is around the surgery itself.
My partner and I have been together for almost 7 years, and have been married for 3. We got married before I realized I was trans. Before I came out, they were always adamant about not wanting to be married to a man, which made it really challenging for me to want to come out to them and move forward with transitioning when I finally realized that I'm a trans man. That being said, they were supportive of me when I came out as trans about 2 years ago, and have been a great ally and advocate for me in social situations. They struggled a bit with the changes that came when I first started on T, but now they celebrate me and the changes that T has made to my body. Through/because of my transition, they realized they're pansexual, and find me as attractive as they did before T, but it took some time to get here, and they still sometimes struggle with the fact that they're married to a man.
The fact that I transitioned about a year after we got married has been an issue from the get-go, and I think if things had happened in the reverse order, we would both be more satisfied in our relationship. They feel as though they never got to say goodbye to the person they fell in love with. I know that sounds a bit fucked up but I can see where they're coming from, because the person they first met is not who I am anymore. That person was never real to begin with and was more or less a persona that I created to fit into the role that was expected of me, so when I came out, my true personality has come forward, so yes I understand why they feel such grief, and it doesn't mean that they're not also happy for me at the same time (feelings are complicated). This is something we've had a lot of conversations about, and unfortunately I feel that they have some resentment towards me for not realizing my identity before we made a legally binding decision. They don't outright say it, but I get the sense that they feel like I've betrayed them because I came out and started transitioning after we got married rather than before.
Additionally, throughout our relationship, I have struggled with a variety of different health problems. Most recently, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis about 4 years ago, which was triggered by a non-transition related surgery. My partner was an excellent caretaker when I was at my sickest, but they have quite a lot of trauma from their childhood around caretaking, which was then perpetuated in our relationship. Before my diagnosis and while still figuring out the right medication dosage for me, I was extremely irritable and had a lot of negativity/depression/anxiety which I unfairly took out on my partner. These psychiatric symptoms are part of my Hashimoto's, and I also have quite severe ADHD which was untreated at the time, so you might be able to imagine the poor treatment my partner received when I was quite ill. I lashed out at them over very small things and was just generally unpleasant to be around. Due to brain fog, I can't even remember most of what I said or how I acted, but I know it really hurt them (emotionally/mentally). We have had many conversations about this too, and I have apologized more times than I can count. Since getting my health issues and ADHD under control, my behavior and irritability have been significantly better, but they still bring up that time in our relationship whenever we have a major conflict. They clearly have not forgiven me for this or moved on, even though they said they have. I feel like I will never be able to make up for the hurt and trauma no matter how good of a partner I am now.
Fast forward to the present. I have been on my local top surgery waitlist since March 2023 and just yesterday I FINALLY got scheduled for a consult which is next month. My partner has known that I want top surgery from the beginning, and I waited a whole year after starting T before I even got on the waitlist, to allow them some time to process it. I got a call that I was getting close to the top of the list back in February, which I told them immediately, and I have been keeping them updated throughout the process. Every time I bring it up, they get extremely upset. Crying, wanting to be alone, spending all their time in another room and not wanting to be around me, etc. It's obviously very triggering for them and I believe they have PTSD around this. A few months ago, I sat them down and we were able to have an open and honest conversation about it for the first and only time, and they confessed that they didn't think they could mentally handle being my caretaker again because of what happened before. I accepted this immediately and started thinking about and researching other options for post-surgery care. Their feelings and experiences are valid and I have no problem figuring this out on my own if it means that we can have a healthy relationship. I have friends and family who are more than happy to help, and my health insurance covers most of the cost for a caretaker. I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by many very supportive people who would absolutely help me out post-surgery. Most of my friends are trans (or are the partner of a trans person) and have had (or have experience taking care of someone who has had) top surgery so I am comfortable asking them for help. There are enough folks in my support system that no one person would be overburdened with taking care of me and in fact the two friends I already told about this issue immediately volunteered (without me even asking) to drive me to/from my appointments and take sick days to help me out post-surgery.
However, when I told my partner that they don't need to take care of me and that I could stay with family, ask friends to help out, or hire someone, they were still upset. They said they feel guilty for not being able to take care of me or be there for me as my partner. They've told me they don't think they can handle being in this relationship if I get top surgery because of the guilt around not being able to take care of me. I feel like I'm being forced to choose between living as my authentic self and keeping my relationship. I already know I'm going to move forward with surgery, but I'm really struggling with the idea that it might mean I'm going to lose my partner, who I thought I would spend my entire life with. I would be willing to delay surgery to allow them more time to process, but it has already been over 2 years since I started medically transitioning, a year on the waitlist, a few months since I was told I'd get a consult soon, and they still aren't mentally prepared for this. I'm concerned that there is not enough time in the world for them to be mentally ready for this and I can't just put my transition on hold when they've already had so much time and made no effort to start to process their trauma around this. I am suffering physically and mentally already - I overheat constantly because I'm binding and wearing multiple shirts to hide my chest and binder, my posture has worsened and I have shoulder and back pain I never had before I started binding, and I am limited in what I can do, especially as the weather is warming up, it makes me extremely sad and dysphoric that I can't just take my shirt off and enjoy the water, or join people in a pool/hot tub. I've tried to explain to my partner that this surgery is a good thing and will allow me to be more mentally present and live a happier and more fulfilling life, which they logically understand but don't seem to emotionally get it due to their trauma. They are in the process of getting a therapist, but haven't seen one yet about this particular issue (they have been to therapy for other reasons a few years ago), and they aren't willing to do couple's counseling, saying that they'd rather put that time/energy into themselves.
It makes me really sad that I can't celebrate this exciting transition milestone with the most important person in the world to me, and that they might not even be in my life anymore afterwards. They don't have an issue with me transitioning, just with the surgery. They said if I woke up tomorrow and my chest was totally flat/masculine, that would be completely ok. I understand being concerned about the health risks of surgery and that my recovery will probably be a little more rough than the average bear because of my thyroid condition, but this goes beyond an understandable/regular level of concern imo. I feel frustrated and disappointed with them for not taking steps towards processing this trauma so they can be there for me, especially since it's something we've had so much time to prepare for. I want to be understanding and patient, but I have been for so long already and haven't seen them put any effort into doing the work. I worry that my patience and understanding is what's been keeping this relationship from falling apart when this subject comes up, and that soon I am going to be out of that energy/space for them unless they start putting the effort into working through these issues.
I am also slightly frustrated because I put in a lot of work over the years to address my emotional issues that caused them a lot of pain, but I don't feel like it's recognized, and every time they're triggered, they treat me as if I haven't done any work whatsoever on myself, like we're right back where we were 4 years ago. I have been through many years of therapy and my hormones are stable (including my thyroid), and I'm on ADHD medication that works very well for me. I take care of myself and get my bloodwork done every 3-6 months as needed, take my medications very consistently, have a good sleep and self-care routine, etc., all changes that have helped me be a better partner and person which I feel have gone completely unnoticed. To be honest, I feel like I take care of them all the time. I go grocery shopping, I make sure dinner is on the table every day, I'm the only one that does the dishes, lately I have been doing most of the cleaning except the floors and litter box. I have even done extra projects around the apartment when they mention something they want to do but don't have time/energy for - like hanging up some art that has been sitting around for a while, and organizing shared spaces. I'm still treated like a villian every time they're triggered, no matter what I say or do. They ask me why I hate them and cry for hours if I get into bed an hour later than they do and it wakes them up (they are a very light sleeper), and tell me I'm being mean when I say I wish they had told me how they feel before things get to the point of crisis. I don't know what to expect from them sometimes because they are unclear in their communication. I ask how they are and they say "as fine as I always am" and don't elaborate even when I ask, which I assume to mean that they're okay, when they're actually not okay and they expected me to just know that, so they think I'm being inconsiderate if I move onto a different topic of conversation. We will go days or weeks without having any issues and then all of a sudden, they tell me "I don't think I can do this anymore" because I didn't do the dishes for a day, or there's a stack of mail that's been on the tv stand for a little too long. They say that it's not out of no where and that if I just paid attention, I would see that, but I do pay attention and I ask how they are and I make space for them to share how they're doing, but they don't share their feelings with me until they get so upset that they can't control it anymore. Lately, the only time they share their feelings is when they're upset.
I don't know what I'm supposed to accept because of their PTSD/trauma and I feel so guilty about how I've perpetuated and caused harm to them in the past, so it feels wrong to suggest that they're being unfair to me. At the same time, I don't think I should be expected to put up with being treated like this and thinking that things are totally okay one day, only to be told the next that they don't know if they want to keep doing this. This morning they told me they don't want to come back home, and that I can keep our cat. I don't want to lose them, but at a certain point I can't make someone work through their trauma, and it makes me extremely sad that this relationship isn't worth saving in their mind and they'd rather just leave me when I get surgery than deal with the hard stuff.
I appreciate you if you read all of that. I don't want anyone to tell me to end this relationship because I am not going to do that without giving them a little more time, especially since they are getting ready to start therapy soon. They really are such a wonderful and amazing person and I feel so so lucky to call them my partner. They have so many amazing qualities and we can relate to each other in ways that I haven't been able to with anyone else. They just have a lot of trauma and I am stuck not knowing how to navigate the situation as I continue my transition, knowing that my getting surgery is extremely triggering for them and might end our relationship. I love them a lot and don't want to lose them, but I'm also realistic and have been in toxic relationships before and will end things if I need to. There is nuance to this situation and I am willing to give them grace and be understanding, but at the same time, I also need to make the choices I need to make for myself. This just really sucks and I think at the moment I'd just like some support. If y'all have ever been in a situation like this and your relationship made it through, I'd love to know how. Thanks.

After everything that's been going on in Egghead, and with some recent updates we've just received, it's safe to assume that the next arc will take place in the legendary island of Elbaf! Which is bound to be the best since the last few arcs so far!
Now I currently don't know how it will play out or if the Strawhats & their allies will really go there unless something gets in the way. But for this post, I will share with you a list of what my expectations are, whether you agree with me or not. So without further ado, let's begin shall we.
The Arc of God Usopp
This is pretty obvious! Ever since Little Garden, Usopp often talked about how he wanted to be like the Giants of Elbaf. And just like many people, I think going to that island should be the best & possibly the only time for him to shine like never before! This could even be a great opportunity for Usopp to:

• Improve on his CoO, and maybe even unlock more Haki abilities.
• Gain a new weapon, whether or not his current one got destroyed.
• Meet his "bad" father - Yasopp, which I'll talk more about a bit later.
• have one of his oldest & most iconic lies become reality!

The Library of Ohara (Robin & Saul's reunion)
Thanks to Vegapunk telling the SH about his visit to Ohara after the Buster Call, not only did we learn that most of the books were saved, but it turns out that Robin's old friend Saul survived & his currently hiding for his own safety! Which means that we will have a very unexpected reunion just around the corner, while also knowing more about the Void Century that even Vegapunk himself may not!
Vivi's involvement
To anyone who have been a fan of Vivi since the day Luffy's crew 1st entered the Grand Line, you should know that the Desert Princess also encountered Brogy & Dorry when they visited Little Garden. So it make sense she has an important role in Elbaf the moment she officially reunites with the SH as possibly their "final" member, while also having both Morgans & Wapol tag along with them!
Who knows, perhaps during their visit to where the books are located, we may learn more about her ancestor - Nefertari D. Lily (or Lili), and what really happened to after refusing to become a Celestial Dragon while also not returning to Alabasta. Which I will mention in another post about another society.
The Long awaited reunion between Emperors
Now I know that this has a 50/50 chance to come true. But with all the viking reference that the Red Hair Pirates has had until now, I believe that Luffy & Shanks's long awaited reunion as fellow Emperors should undoubtedly take place in Elbaf of all places! I also wouldn't be surprised if Shanks was partly responsible for having the Giants come to Egghead in the 1st place.
And although this is mostly a personal thing, I would like to see Luffy to use his CoC to knock out some of the new Red Hair Pirate members just like Shanks did with Whitebeard's when meeting him!
Plus, during that moment, besides just some chapter 1 tributes, as well as Usopp & Yasopp finally getting some fatheson time together, I would like Oda to have Luffy & Shanks talk about Ace, Bartolomeo, and even Blackbeard.
However, since the moment in Wano when Jinbe fought Who's Who, I would also like Luffy's latest crewmember to participate in the reunion by asking Shanks why he took the Nika Fruit from the Government, and what he was really going to do with it if Luffy never ate it!? Which now leads to the next part of my list!
More information about Nika
Thanks to Vegapunk's message in the recent chapter, not only did we have more confirmation that Joy Boy was the last known person to awaken the Nika Fruit, but the story of the Sun God himself originated in Elbaf of all places!
Now although the scientist may explain everything he knows about it in the next chapter or 2, I believe the Elbaf arc should be the perfect time to learn how Nika's legend began, and how it was eventually shared with other people like the Buccaneers, Lunarians, as well as the Skypieans!
Including the Fishman, since Jinbe said "the Warrior of liberation", which means that he & his fellow Fishmans know more about Nika than we were lead to think!
But most importantly, if the story Nika did originate in Elbaf, then that means the other Gods that were mentioned in Noland's flashback (the Gods of Rain, Forest, and Earth) could also share the same place of origin as the Sun God himself! Which might make us 1 step closer into finding out who the current users of the other Legendary Zoans are, and whether they are in good hands or not.
Plus, I believe that during that moment, Luffy himself should not sleep on this one, and I think Shanks will make sure of it! Who knows, this could help Luffy gain better understanding woth his powers, as well as give him the edge he needs to surpass Joyboy!
Kid's comeback & character development
Now I know that most people believe that Kid's character arc ended the moment Shanks used Divine Departure on him, and took his Poneglyph writting. And even if he does return, he'll become another Moriah!
However, I'm not one of those people, and I believe Kid's time is far from over!
From the Giants' perspective, Kid & Law are the 2 heroes that defeated Big Mom, one of their most hated enimes. So surely not everyone in Elbaf will like what Shanks, Brogy, & Dorry did to him, even though the Red Haired Emperor was trying to save his Fleet, and the 2 Giants were out of the loop while they were gone for so long.
In fact, if what happened to Kid was anything like how the Strawhats were defeated in Sabody, then surely either Shanks or anyone who was there at the time could've told Kid almost the same thing Kuma said to Luffy about how he & his crew weren't ready yet, but has faith in them.
After all, Luffy may be an Emperor, but he isn't the only Pirate representing his generation. The same can be said for Whitebeard before Roger died.
Plus, let's not also forget that Kid was the first person to mention the man marked by flame, so it make sense that he should stick around long enough to meet the person face to face.
And if that person saw what happened to Kid & his crew, and saved them from drowning, perhaps he could become his Rayleigh, but instead of just helping him become strong enough to also be an Emperor, the man would teach Kid a lesson in humility. Which is a common thing for most anime rival's character arc.
Of course, just like what we got from Law & Bonney recently, we may get to see Kid's sad backstory, which may confirm whether or not the theory of him being Vegapunk's "7th Sattelite" is true, since some of his moves has "Punk" in their names.
And also the reveal of his Devil Fruit is also as important as that of his fellow Supernovas since magnetism has had big role since the SH entered the Grand Line.
Hajrudin's role
When I read about how the Narrator stated that the Egghead Incident may shock the world, I honestly thought that this would become the best time for the Straw Hat Grand Fleet to appear during their Emperor's time of needs.
Unfortunately, that theory eventually became debunked due to everything that has happened since that speech.
However, I believe that the Strawhats' visit to Elbaf would make up for that, and the only reason I think so is because one of the Grand Fleet capitans is actually a native of Elbaf! That's right, I'm talking about the leader of the New Giant Warrior Pirates himself, Hajrudin!
Now in case you aren't aware, Hajrudin & his crew recently made some interesting Cameo appearances in both Big Mom & Vegapunk's respective flashbacks! Specifically, during Big Mom days with Mother Caramel, we see him & his crew as kids. And when Vegapunk & Dragon met in Ohara, he was one of the Giants lead by Saul to recover the books that survived the Buster Call!
With those facts, it would stand to reason that Hajrudin is bound to have an important role in Elbaf, which makes sense since this trope has been used by every citizen of a country the Strawhats has ever met until now.
The "revenge" of the Big Mom Pirates
Now Idk whether or not Big Mom herself will make another comeback, but I can suspect that the remnants of her crew would appear since they also have some unfinished business to settle, as well as the fact that they once tried to put aside their mother's differences with the giants by having Lola marry Loki. Which failed due to her decision making at the time.
And even though Kid & Law were responsible for Big Mom's seeming demise, it's possible that the Big Mom Pirates will also blame the Strawhats for that, whether or not this will make them feel bad for them!
However, I do think that during this encounter, it could also be a chance to learn that Pudding was Kid during the events in Wano, which may lead to the Strawhats will do next after Elbaf, and that will also be part of my next blog!
