I am interviewing for two companies tomorrow. One is a MEP consulting company and the other is an Independent system operator. I had a couple of questions. Both are entry level roles.
-For MEP, what are some key concepts that EEs should know and what would make me stand out to the interviewer? (I have experience with Autocad but not revit)
-For Power systems, can someone break down how the U.S power grid functions on a very high level? Or point me to a resource that breaks it down. I have a good grasp of how power grids work since my master’s concentration was in power systems, but I don’t know any practical knowledge such as how different interconnection regions, reliability regions, etc. work together. For example, which parts of the power grid is national grid responsible for? NYSEG? ISOs? Which companies handle generations? How do different regions work together? Any explanations on the overview of the US Power grid would be appreciated.

I am currently an informatics analyst working for the hospital. I have applied to a few Application Analyst jobs and I'm wanting to go to Epic (charting system) after working 7 months in this role. Now that I have a little non-bedside experience I am seeing the reality of the salary. I love this job exponentially more than bedside but my cousin who graduated nursing school with me said he is going to Oregon to make 140k as staff. They're unionized there so they have 1 hour paid lunch breaks, and he said they're treated great. Oregon is MCOL. Upon scouring reddit, I'm seeing that anything close to 140k as an Epic analyst is quite the minority and rare to see unless you're in a director type role. If you do make anything close to that, it is atleast after 4-6 years perhaps. I make 73k right now as an informatics analyst and made 72k in the same hospital as a NIGHT SHIFT ICU critical care nurse (low pay is partly why I left; to search for more lucrative salary).
Eventually I want to quit everything all together within the next 10 years by using passive income from real estate investing (Just built my first home and renting out the extra bedroom units to travel nurses).
What do I even do? I am seriously considering going back to bedside nursing even though I absolutely hated it and had so much anxiety; but it could be my environment as well - I am a minority in the south (live 40 minutes next to Harrison, AR) and in Oregon I wouldn't be....
I love the autonomy of Epic and working from home. But I can barely save up to purchase my next rental property like this. If I am trying to get a higher salary, it'll take years to get to 140k. Homes in Oregon are expensive at 400k average as well but I am not opposed to out of state investing.

I come from the world of Sharepoint and .Net development, and I have studied and worked with devops. I already have the AZ-900 certification and I thought about learning something about DevOps Engineer.
In my work I helped with processes with layout, states and rules, as well as permissions for users. In addition to creating integrations with other systems using an API with C#. Does this fall under devops engineer?
Analyzing the certification options I saw that there is Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert - AZ-400 and it seems to make sense, but I don't know if what I did (manage processes and access, in addition to API consumption) fits here. There seems to be more, I don't know.
Looking at this AZ-400 exam, I see that there are 2 certifications indicated as prerequisites, with only 1 required to obtain this title of DevOps Engineer Expert.
Does it matter if you take the AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) or the AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate)? Does it really depend on your profile?
One last question would be about the Azure Devops Service that I researched and found layout things in addition to using the API. Is this while in the Devops Engineer or something else?

This might be a repeat question, but I am working through a plan to build a powder coating business here in Florida. I have a ways to go with practicing and mastering the craft, but I am looking ahead a little and I don't understand how to research on competitors or how to market the business when it's home based. Maybe you guys could give a few pointers my way? I would appreciate it!
A little context on the services that I am planning to provide:
-Powder Coating (Nothing part specific as of yet)
-Sand blasting
-Parkerizing (Future State: Might do some firearm work, but I have decided yet considering the legal hurdles)
-Cerakote (Future State: The same as Parkerizing, but In know ceramic coating can be used for other processes)

So to make it short and I'm absolutely bad at it. I'm undiagnosed but have many, autistic traits that I now realize in my thirties and honestly, to my own interpretation after multiple months of reading and research, I could fit the DSM V criterias.
However, currently, one thing that keeps on messing with my brain, especially with social issues and understanding social cues. Is I can tell in my past, especially child/teenage years I likely had issues of some sort but can't exactly remember clearly since it's been 15+years already and since I did not even knew I could be missing stuff I never stopped to look for it but I clearly knew something was off and everything would suggest that. I tried learning sociology, psychology and such, I could definitely go on and on.
However in my early twenties, tired of depression, not fitting in, being absurdly shy and almost always mute and socially inept I still went in nursing and after failing a few terms because all of my social issues, inabilities and such. At some point I just decided to act and try to fake being socially adequate and it worked and I kept on doing it and by now ten years later... It's almost natural. Also, currently, my job as a RN is in psychiatry been there for multiple years and I absolutely have to look at affect, body movement, social cues and such.
Honestly by now, I don't feel like I have many issues with that anymore. I can sometime suspect that I might have some small issues like when we have people diagnosed with narcissistic or antisocial personality disorder. I honestly have the hardest time figuring out when they're trying to manipulate me. But it could also be blamed on naivety or something else. I usually manage to get around these issues easily however because I have also learned over time to put clear limits and respect them.
I also happen to have figured systems to communicate, ask questions, I will actively put my hand on people shoulder and such at appropriate timing. It's incredible how unnatural and fake it all feels for me at times but it's also sort of natural by now. It clearly is masking but you know, at some point, I wonder if it's just me being socially awkward and bad with ADHD and a lot of overlapping ASD traits.
TL;DR how possible is it for someone on the spectrum to just get good/proficient socially through learning/exposure?

I work as a forensic mental health nurse and have done so for a number of years in an NHS hospital. We are incredibly short staffed, the CQC rates us as inadequate in every category apart from care. I am bored of the politics the constant stress and the pointless emails. I applied for a job with a private provider of eating disorders services, this is a very small hospital, the beds are all NHS patients. I have attended an interview where they showed me around and in fairness it appears to be a caring holistic service, far removed from my current job. They have offered me the job as a charge nurse and have said this starts at the equivalent of a band 6 wage, they say this is negotiable. I am currently at the top of band 5, my current employer pays overtime plus an additional "lead". This amounts to a fairly good wage, on average around £50k. I am entitled to the full 33 days of leave + 8 bank Holidays and I also work long days so only 3 shifts a week (normally work another 1.5 days of overtime on top), I pay into an NHS pension. If it was not for all the BS I would not want to move, I enjoy nursing forensic patients. I am due to speak to the private hospital tomorrow. I am panicking when I look at pure numbers, it feels like I would be giving up a lot for a salary approx 15k less, however if I move to another NHS hospital it would still be 15k less.Has anyone else moved from NHS to Private? Did you negotiate your pay? Terms and conditions? Any advice? Any questions I should ask? I feel quite scared of leaving the NHS and all that goes with it.

Won't they need a mac to emulate the devices to see what they are doing?

I’m 24, just found out on Monday the 13th that I am pregnant, around 4 weeks along. Told my parents and my partners parents yesterday just so we didn’t have to start this journey alone. I feel a lot better about it with my parents knowing! But these cramps I’ve been having since around this Saturday, the 11th, they haven’t been like all day cramping but they’ve been pretty intense for myself for about 15-30 mins, like laying on the floor not letting anything touch me. Is this normal? When I explained it to the nurse when I took my urine test on Monday the 13th to confirm the pregnancy he told me not to worry if I wasn’t bleeding but it’s still got me a little tripped out. Has anyone else experienced this? I don’t have my first doc appointment until 10 weeks so around June 24th. Am I just going to be in a state of worry until that appointment? I also had a dream that I had lost the baby, and it’s making me feel like I should take another test when I get home. Is that dumb to do? I don’t want to feel like I’m overreacting or something but it’s just a whole new territory for me. There has been no bleeding but it’s still just in the back of my head that something is wrong. I haven’t really experienced any nausea quite yet or tender breasts, just that cramping every once in a while. Sorry for the long post y’all, there’s just so much to ask!

Hey there bit of a weird question here.
So I'm eligible to apply for the electronic visa waiver (eta), hower i got my passport (which is a non-UK one) renewed in the UK 2 years ago and it's still valid.
On the passport it says "issuing authority: london"
However when I apply on the uk government site when I change the option that says "county of issuance" to the UK it says I'm not eligible
My main concern is if I apply with my passport and put the county of issuance as my own (it's one of the allowed owns to apply for an ETA) will I have an issues with border control when I get to the UK
Meaning when they see county of issuance as my own on the electronic waiver and see it says London on my passport as the issuing authority will there be a problem
(keep in mind that the passport is from my home country it was just renewed in my country's embassy in the uk)

Long time HA user. Recently have gotten back into setting it all up. I’ve been a long time HK user as well, but they have really fallen behind and I don’t seen drastic improvement anytime soon.
So I have two smaller dogs that have access to our backyard via doggie door. We have a Petsafe wireless fence since our backyard isn’t fully enclosed. This works fairly well, but not real happy with finding the happy location of the fence to keep them where I want them.
My two current situations:
Feeding and monitor tracking.
I’m a home assistant user, so the idea of subscription model for tractive for two dogs isn’t really appealing, I’d be more inclined it would prevent them from escaping to greet neighbors or mailman, but as it is, not something I want to pay $20/m for. It would be nice to see where there are in the house (espresense)) and monitor their activity (maybe esp32 board on their collar)
I have a bunch of esp32 and esp8266 laying around and bought some BLE tags in hopes of monitoring location and setting automations for feeding.
I bought a couple of PETKIT feeders (solo, yumshare) and learned yumshare isn’t available yet in ha. I have the solo setup in ha to only be available if the dog gets close enough. But the use of the yumshare is pretty nice! So kinda stuck on what I want.
One dog will eat the bowl of both dogs, so an automation of some sort would be helpful.
Looked into building my own, and 3d printing, but that’s seems a little more than what I want to get into.
So my question, is there a setup or device that could accomplish some or all of these things?

I had received an interview call after a long while and then I messed it up. :( I have never been this blank in any interview I have ever appeared for. Never have I ever been this low while solving problems. It was one of those interviews where the interviewer was a gold of a person. Was kind enough to change the questions seeing me struggle. But even then I messed it up. And guess what, almost every question asked was something I had solved before. I feel heart broken ever since and in serious doubt of my capabilities. I tried talking this with my friends and they were simply like “accept that you know less and move on”. But I swear I had solved everything and still I failed.
Please suggest ways I can revise leetcode better. And not face this level of embarrassment again.

I don't know why reddit keeps on removing my post🥲. Anyways I (21F) had a best friend (20F). Our love for each other drifted apart after a series of incidents. She was never satisfied with any of the gifts I gave her for her birthday. She never bought me anything ever for mine ( I know well relationships are not meant to be materialistic). Once she demanded I go to college for a class that I was not enrolled in to give her company. I travelled one hour to reach college, got a nosebleed, lost my way due to road work and she was mad at me for being a little late. She never stood up for me in any situation. Lately she started to copy everything I do. Similar makeup, clothes, hobbies, hair you name it. Once she wanted me to buy her a few clothes. After making me wander all around the city while videocalling her and showing her multiple clothes and wasting three hours of my day she decided she wasn't buying anything. Recently we decided to rent a house to work on a project. I was forced to do most of the chores while she would spend time in front of the mirror. One weekend I went to my home and she came along. She behaved rudely with everyone,treated my parents like servants and left her bloodied underwear in the laundry basket for my mom to wash ( I wouldn't care of she did it with me but no one in the world have right to treat my mom or dad like a servant). My mom told me to forget about that incident. My parents cooked her favourite meals, bought her clothes and adored her. But she was always complaining about something. She refused to take any suggestions I gave about project and always did it her own way despite of us both spending money on that.(She thought I should bear everything she does because apparently she told me about other friends harming me behind my back. I later found out that was also a lie). The breaking point for me was when she invited her fam to our rental home without asking me (it was a shi**y one tiny bedroom home). Her fam made themselves comfortable and showed zero hesitation in using my stuff without asking me. One day I came home early and found my bed stripped off bed covers being used as a platform to dry their underwears, her family members using my shoes ,pillows and other stuff ( I don't mind sharing my stuff but please ask my permission beforehand). She would take the food I ordered and give it to her fam without asking me. They would never spend a dime on anything and leach off me. One day when I was sleeping I woke up to one of her family members staring at me with cold dead eyes. We had a not pet policy imposed by the home owner. But they would constantly bring animals into home and I would get in trouble for that as the homeowner was my mom's friend. Homeowner questioned her why her fam was staying so long and told them to move out fast as the house couldn't accommodate too many people (she told her they would only stay for three days). She came home and screamed at me that I made the homeowner say that ( I was oblivious to the situation). One day I used an onion to make a dish that she and her fam finished while I only got to taste it .Next day she insisted I go and buy onions because I finished them while cooking. Not wanting to start a fight I agreed. It was me and my family who spended mostly for water, food etc:- . We never asked her to repay anything and that incident made me feel like an inconsiderate idiot who finished the last onion. I shortly moved out and out of kindness I left all the utensils, cooking appliances etc:- for her fam to use till they moved out( 95% of stuff in house were mine). After I moved out she and the owner got into a fight. She called me namecalling me saying it was my fault that they got into a fight and that I was an inconsiderate b for not adjusting with them and moving out. After that incident I blocked her on all socials. Next day I got texts from other friends saying to me I was inconsiderate for breaking up over something so petty. She gaslighted me in front of others and putted blame on my head. I don't have any siblings and I really thought I got one when I met her. I loved her enough to sacrifice lots of things for her and to put her above myself. I just wanted to keep her happy and for us to spend time together. Now everything seems to be my fault. I have been depressed for weeks. I can't seem to concentrate on anything. I have no tears left. I am an idiot who believed her. I should have known the day she refused to fetch me water when I was severely ill. My other friend seems to think I am the AH for not catering to her fam more( I repeat most of the expenses were taken care of by my family). After the incident she tried to contact me again but I kept a cold atitude the whole time AITA?
