Got this email early morning for my moms visitor non priority application.. She has Indian passport and US Green card and we applied from the U.S. She did her biometrics at USCIS ASC on 6/4 but uploaded docs on 6/1. Does her timeline start on 6/1 then?

I got into a bad car accident that left me in the hospital for a couple month. Whil I was in the hospital my license was suspended because I just bought a new car and didn't get car insurance right away. I only had the car for a week. How do I get my license back. Here are all (*) of the new US and Canadian CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in May 2024, according to the Department of Energy. You can get the data yourself here.
These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:

1. Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
2. Nissan Leaf owners, owners of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, and some owners of older cars that also use CHAdeMO. If you drive such a car, see my matching post in .

Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
There were 255 CCS charging stations with a total of 606 chargepoints added or refreshed in May 2024, which is a major uptick in both stations and chargepoints. For comparison, there were only 226 new CCS charging stations in May 2023, with only 421 chargepoints. Things are trending upwards overall.
Some part of this is due to Tesla Magic Dock stations. Previously Tesla didn't report these to the AFDC as CCS, but now they do. And that makes sense because all CCS drivers can use them.
NOTE: most Tesla Superchargers do NOT have magic dock as of this writing (all those shown in this report should have it). I recommend using PlugShare to locate compatible stations for your vehicle.
(*) "What about other Tesla Superchargers? Can't everybody charge with NACS now?"
It's coming for many makes and models, and for newer Ford models as well as a few other manufacturers charging at v3 and v4 Superchargers is already an option with a free adapter from the automakers. GM should release their adapter this year. But since they are not open to all CCS vehicles, this report is not the place for them. Tesla's app provides the best guide to their locations, including locations that work with non-Tesla vehicles.

Hi piano!
I'm a mostly "self-taught" piano player, had lessons for a few years about 7-10 years old, but recently got back into it early 2021. The story of how I got back into this instrument is long and complicated, but I worked with a very talented friend who helped me a lot. One of the best pieces of advice I got from him was that if I enjoyed a certain artist's way of playing, I should learn their songs. I've always loved Billy Joel growing up, so I went into learning a lot of his songs (some admittedly too difficult for me in the beginning and had to take some steps back). I've learned his whole album The Stranger, and continue to learn and enjoy his music among many others.
I've listened to a lot of his live shows, and in a lot of them, especially his "Greenvale 1977" album he does some absolutely ridiculous playing. There's certain sections of improvisation he does that I love (see New York State of Mind at around 4:00 on the album) and I'm really curious how to play like that. I can learn quite a bit by ear, and even when it's hard and tedious I still enjoy it, but some parts he plays are just far too fast and I don't have the theory knowledge to understand exactly how he's finding these notes to play. I know to actually play like that it would take a lot of time, but I'm wondering what I can do to take a step in that direction. Are there pretty obvious scales he's using while playing these? Are the any improvisational excercises you can think of that would maybe help me? Sorry if I sound like a complete moron, I'm just trying to learn on my own.
I would also like to add that, yes, I would really like to take lessons. I sing full time on cruise ships and while I have good access to a piano, a teacher is very hard to find. One day when I'm back on land for a long time, I will! I play 1-3 hours a day depending on my schedule, I am very happy with my personal progress, and I find a lot of joy from this instrument.

Yesterday tried booking 2 award flights through Virgin operated by AF using 30% transfer bonus from Chase UR. Knowing there has been issues with AF/KLM redemption through Virgin Atlantic I called Virgin first to make sure they were not phantom and placed 2 reward tickets on hold before transfering my Chase UR points to Virgin. Got a confirmation code and could see the flight hold on my new virgin flying club account.
Called chase to transfer and it was instant and was back on the line with a Virgin rep within 30min to complete the transaction. Second rep at Virgin said she is worried about how the hold was done and needed to speak with her supervisor. Eventually I was told that something was wrong and they couldn't book that AF flight and they wouldn't be able to reverse my point transfer. After almost a hour and a half they found me alternative flights for different dates on non AF flights. Was told they cant book AF flights due to system problems that are due to be fixed mid july.
Be warned maybe this is a one off but even calling to put flights on hold before transfering my points failed. During the time on hold I did see those flights disappear from Virgin search and they are back again today.
