2024.06.09 12:15 NerdFactorMemes Jinhsi Split Uptime Rotation Discussion

Jinhsi Split Uptime Rotation Discussion
While skimming over this sub i saw some discussions on how exactly jinhsi is meant to me played, with some suggestions being letting her stay off field for 40 seconds while building her stacks or using her as a sub dps like havoc rover with a different main dps (i think the 40 stack limit is a huge bait). I think her kit strongly implies her to be used in a quickswap team with a split uptime rotation so i wanted to go over that and get review of that idea.
I think the split gameplay is implied by the following:
  1. Very short uptime Intro -> Echo -> Skill (enter first enhanced state) -> Enhanced State Skill -> 4 Basic Attacks (Physically cannot do more, enter second enhanced state) -> Second Enhanced State Skill -> Maybe a plunge attack and regular skill ig; Ult at some point in here This shouldnt take more than 5 to 7ish seconds, you can ofc stay on her for longer cause this isnt genshin so she doesnt start dealing physical dmg but there isnt really any point to do that for an "optimal" rotation.
  2. Her Cooldown to enter her enhanced state is 12 seconds, the cooldown of her ult is exactly double that at 24 and the cooldown to gain unison is 25. This combined with the short uptime means you can comfortably do her rotation twice per team rotation. This would also justify the high ult cost since this would mean you use 6 (potentially 8) skills per ult
  3. Unison itself. Unison allows her to forego the need of full concerto energy to trigger outro and intro when swapping out, which as an ability is weird at best and useless at worst if you dont actually swap out of her 2 times per rotation. If they want you to be able to trigger her outo after a short field uptime they can just adjust her concerto values accordingly and dont need to create a mechanic to override the concerto mechanic. But with unison in play you can Swap into Jinhsi -> Do Jinhsis Rotation (build maybe half a concerto) -> Swap out with unison -> Swap back into Jinhsi -> Do another Jinhsi Rotation (build the other half of concerto) -> Swap out with concerto Jinhsis outro skill doesnt do too much to confirm this theory since its a long lasting ability but this would increase Eras in Unitys uptime from 20 seconds to the full duration of the rotation (upwards of 25) allowing more stack gain
  4. Split uptime isnt detrimental to anything. Skilling twice with 12 stacks should have no detriment to Skilling once with 24, in fact the prior will deal way more dmg cause the stack independent damage is doubled by using the ability twice. You do lose some characters dmg deepen buffs when swapping out but i think this is neglegable since in a team of Jinhsi, Deepen buffer, Verina/Baizhi you have a lot of uptime you NEED to fill with jinhsi.
  5. Her Third RC gives her 1 stack (max 2) every time you use her intro skill, which lasts for 20 seconds. You can only max out stacks by swapping into her twice per rotation.
Heres what i think a team rotation with all this in mind could look like (added an image aswell for people like me who prefer that over words): - Setup your team wide buffs with Verina/Baizhi - Swap into Jinhsi (12 seconds need to pass before doing this again) - Do your Jinhsi Rotation (around 6 seconds) - Swap into your third character (This uses unison, Ideally all their stuff takes around 6 seconds aswell) - This could be the usual suspects of Jianxin, Mortefi, Either Rover, Taoqi, Sanhua, Yangyang, Yinlin. - Swap back into Jinhsi (12 seconds need to pass before doing this again) - Do your Jinhsi Rotation (around 6 seconds) - Swap back into verina/baizhi (This uses concerto) - Your healer would now need to take 6 seconds for their setup, if thats unrealistic you can potentially do a heavy/plunge attack and a regular skill at the end of Jinhsis second rotation. - Alterntively you can, if it makes sense for that charcter, swap into your sub dps a second time aswell, slightly extending your rotation but giving you better dmg and buff uptime, which could look smth like: Healer -> Sub Dps -> Jinhsi -> (Unison) Sub DPS -> Jinhsi -> (Concerto) Healer This would also off set the fact that your healer setup might not take 6 seconds.

With all this out of the way: Thoughts?

The SUDOKEJI 2500W Power Inverter can be a handy companion for anyone who needs to power electronics on the go. It converts your car's 12V DC battery into household-usable 110V/120V AC power, with a continuous output of 2500 watts and a surge capacity of 5000 watts. This means you can run various devices like microwaves, TVs, and even some power tools.
For added convenience, the SUDOKEJI inverter boasts several user-friendly features. It comes with a remote control so you can turn it on or off from a distance, eliminating the need to reach the unit itself. Another perk is the standby mode, which keeps power consumption low when the inverter isn't actively in use. Additionally, a built-in 3.4V USB port allows you to charge your phone or other small electronics directly from the inverter.

If anyone doesn't know who VITOOS is, it's the OEM brand of Harley Benton. From what I've read and scavenged on the internet, these are apparently really reliable/good for the price.
Example: the top 2 are practically PowerPlants from Harley Benton.
Differences I know of: - The bottom two can be linked together, and have 2 more outputs, but use the standard DC cable. - The top two can also be linked together, but instead of DC, they use IEC/AC. - The AD models are almost double the weight, and a bit bigger - Color 🤪
As for the Inputs, I don't know the max it could take but here they are: - AD10 - (250 x 4) + (500 x 2) + (450 x 4) = 3800 - AD5 - (500 x 5) = 2500 - DD12 - (500 x 12) = 6000 - DD5 - (300 x 4) + (500 x 1) = 1700
Pricing: - VITOOS AD10S-SV4 + VITOOS AD5S LINK AD5SL = ~$220.02 w/ Shipping - VITOOS DD12-SV3 + VITOOS DD5-SV1 = ~$176.78 w/ Shipping
Is the IEC worth the tradeoff for the 2 outputs and less power? I'll need around 15 - 17 outputs, but in any case, these should be more than enough outputs to future-proof my board.
PS: If you know of any differences between the AD models and the DD models, please hmu.

🔗3-in-1 Jensen Turntable CD Radio, Cassette and AM/FM Stereo Speakers

https://preview.redd.it/pphomm08fi5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1afc143aeada563df1155e2069f55c651488a49
I recently got the Jensen 3-speed turntable CD radio, cassette, and AM/FM set and I can't express how happy I am with my purchase. I remember using my dad's old turntable and the nostalgia it brings back is just priceless. This one is a modern twist to the classic turntable - it plays not only vinyl records but also CDs and cassettes. Plus, it has an AM/FM tuner so I can listen to my favorite radio stations.
What I love about this product is that it is versatile. The turntable allows me to play 3-speed records, which gives me a variety of options. The CD player accepts both regular and rewriteable discs, while the cassette deck, although it looks a bit fragile, still works perfectly fine. This device also comes with features such as repeat of songs and tracks, skip/search forward and backward and random play.
The blue back-lit LCD display and programmable memory adds a nice touch to the whole setup. It's super user-friendly; even my grandma could figure it out! And let's not forget about the stereo headphone jack, perfect for those late-night listening sessions without disturbing anyone.
However, one downside I noticed is that the build quality isn't top-notch. It feels a bit plasticky and might not hold up over time. Another thing is that the speakers lack bass. But hey, considering how affordable this product is, these are minor quibbles.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a nostalgic music player that combines old school charm with modern convenience, the Jensen 3-speed turntable CD radio, cassette, and AM/FM set is definitely worth checking out. Just remember to handle it with care due to its somewhat delicate build.

🔗Modern Vinyl Record Player Stand with Bluetooth

https://preview.redd.it/h9zxx2g8fi5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4169c22400cc1794b618a203ddc4b335394d048
First of all, let me tell you about my experience with this Victrola Liberty Bluetooth Record Player. The moment I set my eyes on it, I was thrilled. Its retro design, available in on-trend colors, instantly captured my fascination. The built-in features like the CD player, FM radio, and USB player made it a versatile piece of entertainment. Plus, the ability to record from vinyl directly to USB without using a computer was intriguing.
The unit stands tall with four long legs and four short rubber feet. This unique design not only adds to its charm but also provides two different decorative options. The dimensions are just right - measuring 17.10 x 15.70 x 11-in and weighing 14.68 lbs. It's easy to move around and fits perfectly into any space.
While the sound quality is commendable, filling the room with a rich, full tone, the construction could use some improvement. The turntable feels a bit flimsy, especially the auto-stop button that sometimes fails to work. Also, there's a little wobbling when a record is on, but not enough to cause any skipping.
In terms of usability, setting up this record player is a breeze. Even someone who's new to vinyl could get it up and running in no time. The included instructions are concise and clear.
However, I did encounter a few issues with the build. First, it seems like there hasn't been much care about handling during shipping. The packaging was good, but it's not enough to prevent some minor damages. Second, I wish the legs could be secured better to ensure they don't pop out from under the record player.
Overall, despite its drawbacks, I believe the Victrola Liberty Bluetooth Record Player does offer a blend of vintage charm and modern convenience. It performs well, especially for its price point, and it's a nice addition to any room's décor. If you're looking for a stylish and functional record player that won't break the bank, I'd recommend giving this one a try.

🔗Audio Technica Fully Automatic Vinyl Record Turntable

Discover the joy of vinyl with the Audio Technica AT-LP60X-GM automatic turntable. I've been using this product for a while now and it's been a game-changer. The fully automatic belt-drive operation with two speeds, 33-1/3 and 45 RPM, ensures smooth playback of your favorite vinyl records.
One of the standout features of this turntable is its anti-resonance, die-cast aluminum platter. This not only adds to the aesthetics but also significantly reduces vibrations and noise during playback, enhancing the overall listening experience. The redesigned tonearm base and headshell have also made a noticeable difference in improved tracking and reduced resonance.
The integral Dual Magnet phono cartridge with a replaceable diamond stylus (ATN3600L) provides rich audio quality, promising hours of listening pleasure. The AC adapter manages AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis, effectively reducing noise in the signal chain.
What I particularly love about this turntable is its portability and compact design. It's easy to move around and fits seamlessly into any room setting. However, the hinged detachable dust cover could be a bit sturdier to better protect my vinyl records.
In terms of performance, this turntable performs exceptionally well, especially given its attractive price point. While it may not impress the audiophiles, it's a perfect introductory turntable for vinyl enthusiasts or anyone looking to explore the world of vinyl.
So, if you're in search of a reliable, easy-to-use turntable that won't break the bank, I highly recommend the Audio Technica AT-LP60X-GM automatic turntable. You won't be disappointed!

🔗Pro-Ject's Dark Side of The Moon Special Edition Turntable

https://preview.redd.it/u019e779fi5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7141426e947c899face9338798a255c0f559ad01
I've been using Pro-Ject's The Dark Side of The Moon Special Edition Turntable for a couple of months now, and I must say it's truly an audiophile's dream. The first thing that caught my attention was its striking design, which pays homage to Pink Floyd's iconic album cover. That, combined with the high-quality materials, makes it a standout piece in any home.
The sound quality is simply phenomenal. The flat silicon belt connecting to the AC motor ensures stable speeds, while the low-resonance tonearm in black aluminum and acrylic creates a captivating visual appeal. I love how the included Pick it PRO Special Edition delivers the rich sound expected from a Dark Side Of The Moon turntable, which is enhanced by the dimmable LED rainbow backlight.
However, there have been some hiccups along the way. One issue was the subpar power supply provided, which caused a buzzing noise in the speakers. I had to purchase an additional alim with a terrestrial to resolve this problem, adding extra expense to an already hefty price tag.
Another minor inconvenience was the non-included prism element from the video promotional material, an optional accessory that costs another 100€. It wasn't mentioned in the initial purchase, which caught me off guard.
Additionally, the support for the arm and the RGB backlight needed to be hand-tightened due to their lack of stability, but this wasn't a major setback.
In summary, if you're a music enthusiast who's ready to delve into the world of vinyl, Pro-Ject's The Dark Side of The Moon Special Edition Turntable may just be the perfect addition to your collection. Its exceptional sound quality and striking design make it worthy of a high-end turntable. Just be prepared for a few extra expenses along the way.

🔗Victrola Retro 3-Speed Record Player

I recently got my hands on the Victrola 3-in-1 Bluetooth Record Player with Built-in Speakers, and it's been quite a nostalgic journey for me. This record player is a perfect blend of old-school charm and modern convenience. The three-speed turntable (33 1/3, 45, 78 RPM) plays all my favorite vinyls, transporting me back to the days when music was a tangible experience.
One feature that really stands out is the ability to record your favorite music directly to a USB, no computer needed. It's like having a personalized mixtape from the past. Plus, its Bluetooth compatibility lets me stream music wirelessly from my smart device, making it versatile for both old and new tunes.
However, there are some downsides too. The build quality feels a bit flimsy, and the tone arm can be quite slow to lower, which might annoy some users. Additionally, the sound quality isn't top-notch compared to higher-end models, but considering the price point, it's quite reasonable.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a budget-friendly record player with a touch of vintage charm, the Victrola 3-in-1 Bluetooth Record Player might be worth considering. But if you demand impeccable sound and robust build quality, you might want to explore other options.

🔗Crosley Cruiser Plus Bluetooth Suitcase Turntable in Tourmaline

https://preview.redd.it/e9f5grw9fi5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=23f6d736b546410a2749d368ed0040f458a0baae
Once a vinyl enthusiast, always a vinyl enthusiast. That's my motto ever since I got my hands on the Crosley Cruiser Plus Turntable - Tourmaline. It just blends old school music with modern technology seamlessly. When I first unboxed it, I was instantly charmed by its charming suitcase-style shell. It gave off a vintage vibe that I absolutely loved. Plus, the built-in Bluetooth receiver and stereo speakers took the convenience factor up a notch.
Navigating through the Turntable is a breeze. The adjustable pitch control and 3-speed feature (33 1/3, 45 & 78 RPM) gave me the flexibility to play any vinyl record I wanted. And don't even get me started on the Bluetooth in/out capability. It was like having a digital music player and a vinyl record player all wrapped into one device.
One day, I had the brilliant idea of connecting my phone to the turntable and playing some of my favorite vinyl-to-digital remastered tracks. The sound quality was phenomenal, a perfect blend of digital clarity and analog warmth. Now, if only it didn't skip randomly sometimes. . .
Despite the occasional skip, the Crosley Cruiser Plus Turntable has been a reliable and enjoyable companion on my vinyl adventure. It's portable, easy to use, and best of all, it beautifully blends the charm of old school vinyl with the convenience of modern technology.

🔗Bluetooth Vinyl Turntable with 40W Stereo Speakers

As a music enthusiast, I've had my fair share of turntables, but the Arkrocket Cassini has truly stood out. Upon receiving it, I was blown away by its stunning walnut finish and sleek design. The ease of setup was impressive, making it truly user-friendly. However, what truly captured my attention was the sound quality this turntable delivers.
It uses a moving magnet cartridge system, which offers a stable playback, allowing my vinyls to be enjoyed in all their glory. This turntable also supports Bluetooth, giving me the flexibility to connect with wireless speakers or headphones when I want. The included 40Watt bookshelf speakers are a cherry on top, providing clear and powerful sound.
The only con I noticed was that the turntable is a bit on the heavier side, making it a little less portable than some other options. However, this is a minor inconvenience for the incredible listening experience it provides. Overall, I highly recommend the Arkrocket Cassini for anyone looking to enhance their vinyl listening experience.

🔗Sony Automatic Bluetooth Record Player

I recently got my hands on the Sony PS-LX310BT, a sleek and functional record player that's revolutionizing the vinyl listening experience. The first thing that impressed me was its easy setup. Unlike some turntables that can be a real pain to assemble, this one was up and running in no time.
One of the standout features of this record player is its Bluetooth connectivity. This allows me to play my vinyl collection on my wireless speakers, giving me more freedom and flexibility when listening to music. Plus, the auto-start function means I can simply press a button and let the music flow, without having to manually lower the tonearm onto the record.
Despite its minimalist design, the PS-LX310BT is built to last. Its sturdy construction and smooth operation make it a reliable choice for vinyl lovers, and its attractive appearance makes it a welcome addition to any room.
However, I did run into a few issues. For instance, the player's tonearm wasn't always able to pick up the record grooves, leading to some skipping and stuttering. Additionally, the player's built-in pre-amplifier wasn't as powerful as I'd like, making it difficult to get the full range of sound out of my vinyl.
Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase. The Sony PS-LX310BT is a solid record player that combines modern technology with the classic sound of vinyl. While it's not perfect, it's definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a new turntable.

🔗Fuse Vertical Vinyl Record Player with Bluetooth and FM Radio

https://preview.redd.it/yll4ip2bfi5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=10515f0712b1ae3193d86caeac5b0695b73338f4
I recently purchased the Fuse Vert Vertical Vinyl Record Player that comes with Bluetooth and FM radio, and boy, am I impressed! The sleek vertical design is perfect for my modern apartment, and it's a great conversation starter when friends come over.
One of the standout features of this record player is its ability to play 33-1/3, 45, & 78 vinyl records. The ceramic cartridge with a diamond needle delivers a rich mid-end and beautiful upper-range sound. The built-in FM radio, alarm clock, and Bluetooth connectivity make it a versatile device that can be used in different scenarios, like playing MP3s and tuning in to my favorite radio stations.
As for the cons, I did face some minor issues with the setup process. The instructions could have been more detailed, but with a little patience, I managed to get it up and running. Additionally, the internal speakers aren't as powerful as I would like, so if you're looking for premium sound quality, you might need to connect it to an external speaker system.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the Fuse Vert Vertical Vinyl Record Player. Its unique design, combined with its versatile features, has made it a valuable addition to my home entertainment setup. If you're in the market for a stylish and functional record player, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

🔗Stylish Modern Sleeper Chair with Linen Fabric

I recently got my hands on the Victrola Stream Onyx, a modern turntable that seamlessly integrates with my Sonos system at home. This sleek black beauty was easy to set up - all it took was a quick scan of the provided QR code, and I was off to the races with the intuitive Victrola app.
The first thing that stood out for me was the sturdy, high-quality build of the turntable. It looks like a piece of art in my living room, and the matte black finish pairs perfectly with the rest of my Sonos setup. But let's talk sound quality; it's simply fantastic. Listening to vinyl through my Sonos system is an experience I don't want to miss now, whether it's playing old classics or exploring new indie gems.
One standout feature I absolutely love is the turntable's automatic tone arm lift function. It makes switching tracks so much easier, and you never have to worry about leaving the needle on a record when you're done playing. The illuminated control knob is also a welcome touch, allowing me to control my entire Sonos system right from the turntable itself.
However, no product is perfect, and the Onyx does have its drawbacks. I occasionally experience some dropped connections with my Sonos setup, which can be frustrating if you're in the middle of playing a record.
All in all, the Victrola Stream Onyx has been an excellent addition to my vinyl collection and Sonos system. Its sleek design and superior sound quality make it worth the investment, and it's the perfect companion for vinyl enthusiasts who want to stream their favorite records throughout their home.

🔗Crosley Coda Modern Vinyl Record Player - Black

https://preview.redd.it/991f0h6cfi5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15ca30ce13cea65ecf7ec545b1843c76aaade1dc
Using the Crosley Coda Shelf System has completely transformed my listening experience. Right from unboxing, its sleek black design made me think of a classic timeless piece. The process of setting it up was an absolute breeze, and in no time, I was spinning my first vinyl on its belt-driven 3-speed turntable, which flawlessly plays 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records.
One thing that stood out for me was its Bluetooth receiver. Streaming my digital playlists straight to the included stereo speakers was a super convenient feature, making this system perfect for both analog and digital media. The built-in FM radio added to its versatility, enabling me to tune into my favorite local stations.
The manual tone arm with a pre-mounted moving magnetic cartridge and adjustable counterweight ensures a smooth and accurate vinyl playback. I also appreciated its compatibility with the NP-15 needle, which I found easy to replace and adjust for optimal sound quality.
Despite its compact size, the Crosley Coda Shelf System packs a powerful punch. The vintage-inspired design includes an aluminum platter and a clear dust cover, adding to its aesthetic appeal.
However, one little inconvenience I had was the packaging of the slipmat. It arrived folded, affecting the sound quality initially. But with a solution like ironing it flat, this issue was quickly resolved.
All in all, the Crosley Coda Shelf System has rekindled my love for vinyl music and its vintage charm. The combination of its fantastic sound quality, stylish design, and versatile functions make it an absolute must-have for music lovers.
My only minor gripe – the speakers are somewhat small, and although they provide clear sound, I wouldn't mind if they were just a tad louder. However, this doesn't deter from the overall excellence of the product. So, if you're in the market for a high-quality, stylish, and versatile turntable system, look no further than the Crosley Coda Shelf System. You won't regret it!

Buyer's Guide

Floating record players offer a unique and stylish way to enjoy your vinyl collection. These innovative devices use magnetic levitation technology to create the illusion of a floating vinyl record as it spins. This not only adds a touch of futuristic flair to your home audio setup, but it also ensures smooth, quiet playback. If you're in the market for a floating record player, there are several factors to consider to ensure you choose the best option for your needs.

Features to Look for in Floating Record Players

  • Audiophile-grade Components: For the best sound performance, look for floating record players that use high-quality components like precision tonearms, durable cartridges, and premium speakers or amplifiers.
  • Compatibility: Make sure the floating record player you choose is compatible with a wide range of vinyl record sizes, including 7", 10", and 12" records. Some models may also support 45 RPM records for maximum versatility.

Important Considerations

  • Budget: Floating record players come in a wide price range, with some models costing several thousand dollars. Determine your budget beforehand and prioritize features and performance over price.
  • Size and Space: Consider the dimensions of the floating record player and ensure it will fit comfortably in your desired location without overcrowding or obstructing other elements of your home audio setup.
  • Ease of Use: While floating record players are primarily focused on their appearance, it's essential to choose a model that is easy to set up, operate, and maintain for long-term enjoyment.

General Advice for Floating Record Player Buyers

When shopping for a floating record player, do your research and read customer reviews to get a sense of performance, build quality, and overall satisfaction. What is a floating record player?

A floating record player is a type of turntable that elevates or "floats" the vinyl record from the platter, creating an illusion of weightlessness. This design, made famous by the [U-Turn Orbit Special Edition](https: //www. gofloating. com/), adds an aesthetic appeal to the player and offers a unique record listening experience.

How do floating record players work?

Floating record players use a combination of magnetic forces and specially designed components to levitate the vinyl record above the platter. This not only creates an attractive visual effect, but also helps reduce friction and vibrations, potentially improving sound quality. However, it is important to note that not all floating record players may achieve significant improvements in sound quality compared to traditional record players.

Floating record players should be maintained like any other high-quality record player. Ensure that belts are replaced periodically, the stylus is cleaned and replaced when necessary, and the playing surface is kept free of dust. Additionally, always handle records with care, and ensure that your floating record player is placed on a stable and level surface to prevent vibrations.

Do floating record players require a specific type of vinyl record?

No, floating record players are designed to play standard vinyl records. However, it is advisable to use high-quality vinyl records to ensure optimal sound performance and preserve the longevity of the record player.

Ensure that the floating mechanism functions properly and that the record is not touching the platter or other surfaces.

What is the difference between manual and automatic operation in floating record players?

Manual operation in a floating record player requires the user to manually lift and lower the stylus onto the vinyl record. Automatic operation, on the other hand, utilizes a motorized mechanism to lift and lower the stylus automatically. Both types of operation can provide satisfying performance, and the choice between them ultimately comes down to personal preference.

How long do floating record players typically last?

The longevity of a floating record player depends on a number of factors, such as proper maintenance, usage frequency, and the quality of the components used in the player. Well-maintained floating record players can last for many years, but it is crucial to replace belts and styli as needed to keep the player in optimal condition.

How can I prevent my floating record player from shaking during use?

To prevent shaking in a floating record player, ensure that the player is placed on a stable and level surface and minimize external sources of vibration. The Forzacx Floating Shoe Display Shelf with Lights Set of 5 has been a game-changer in my shoe organization journey. The glow color-changing aspect is quite the conversation starter in my household, adding an interesting twist to a typical shoe rack.
The sturdy levitating shoe wall shelf truly displays my top shoes proudly, making them stand out as part of my personal style statement. While some might find it overwhelming, I personally love the visual effect it creates.
The only downside I've noticed is that the lights tend to dim over time, but the fact that it comes with a set of 5 makes this an enjoyable and unique addition to any shoe lover's life.

🔗Wall-Mounted Floating Sneaker Display for Top Collections

https://preview.redd.it/g9z85jziei5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=368f43c83144e805fe92374c801a159d0787eae2
I recently got my hands on the Floating Shoe Display for my home space. I must say, it was a fun experience setting it up - a great conversation starter. The wall mount installation made it a breeze to set up, and the floating shelves gave my room a sleek and modern look. One of the highlights was the wide-shaped design that made more room for my kicks, and the highly transparent clear acrylic display created the perfect floating effect.
However, there was one downside, it could only hold most types of sneakers, and the. 16-inch thickness made it a bit too fragile for my liking. But overall, the Floating Shoe Display made a great addition to my space and kept my collection organized and on display. So if you're looking for a unique way to showcase your favorite pairs, this floating shoe display could be the perfect match for you.

As a shoe enthusiast, I always find myself looking for innovative and stylish solutions to manage my growing collection. So, when I found this PeachyModern wall-mounted shoe rack, I couldn't resist giving it a try.
This modern, wooden shoe rack perfectly fits my narrow entryway, saving floor space and adding a touch of elegance with its sleek, slim design. I appreciate how it's so lightweight and easy to install, making it an ideal choice for those who aren't handy with tools.
The shoe rack has enough space to accommodate various types of footwear, ranging from high heels to sneakers. Moreover, I especially like how it can fit even wider boots, keeping them in shape and looking neat. One downside though is that it's only suitable for 2 pairs of shoes, but that's minor considering the space it saves.
Incorporating this shoe rack into my home has significantly improved the functionality and aesthetic appeal of my entryway. It's like having a bit of Scandinavian minimalism in my house, and I'm glad I made the purchase. If you're in the market for a modern, compact, and versatile shoe storage solution, this one could just be the peachy solution you're looking for.

🔗Levitating 8-Pack Floating Shoe Display Rack

I recently got my hands on the IEEK Floating Shoe Display, a unique and space-saving solution for showcasing my shoe collection. As a proud sneaker enthusiast, I was thrilled to set up this clear acrylic shelf on my wall. The shelf measures 8 x 3 x 2 inches and it can hold most regular size shoes, making it perfect for both casual and designer sneakers.
What stood out to me the most was the floating effect these shelves create. The transparent color allows the entire shoe to be visible, showcasing its details from every angle. However, I noticed that only the bottom of the shoe is supported, so it may not be the best option for shoes with thick bottoms. Nevertheless, it's a great conversation starter and a fantastic way to save space in my living room.
The installation process was a breeze - just drill a hole and screw in the provided hardware. I've set up these shelves in my living room but they could also work well in bedrooms, playrooms, dorm rooms, or even hallways. If you're looking for a fun and functional way to display your sneakers while saving space, I would definitely recommend giving the IEEK Floating Shoe Display a try.

🔗Stylish Cozyside Floating Shoe Display Wall Rack

I recently came across the Cozyside Floating Shoe Display Stand, and I must say, it's a game-changer for showcasing your shoe collection. The sleek, modern design adds a stylish touch to any room, making it a great alternative to traditional shoe racks or display cases.
There's something about the clear, floating shelves that draws your eye and highlights the unique design of each pair of shoes. However, it's not all smooth sailing - the installation process requires a bit more effort than expected, which can be a bit of a letdown.
Despite this minor inconvenience, the high-quality craftsmanship and the ability to display six pairs of shoes is well worth the time spent assembling it. I've been using it in my room, and it truly adds a touch of personality to the space. Overall, I highly recommend the Cozyside Floating Shoe Display Stand for anyone looking to add a bit of flair to their shoe collection.

🔗Dazzling Wall-Mounted Floating Shoe Shelf

During the past few weeks, I've been using the STAHMFOVER 6-Pack Large Rainbow Acrylic Floating Shoe Shelves. To be honest, my living room was starting to resemble a shoe shop! But these acrylic racks have saved the day, letting me transform the space by adding some color and displaying my favorite pairs.
One of the first things I noticed was how easy they were to install. The whole process took just about half an hour. The installation instructions were straightforward and the screws and nails helped get the job done in no time. I'm quite happy about that, as it takes just a small portion of my day to organize and showcase my favorite footwear.
What I've particularly enjoyed about these floating shoe racks is the ability to easily switch up their arrangement. The shelves have two pre-drilled holes, so you can adjust them to your liking. I must confess, it gave me a sense of satisfaction to see my shoes arranged in the best possible way.
However, I have found a downside as well. They're not the greatest for heavy shoes. I had to remove a pair as they were exceeding the 6-pound limit. I believe this is a minor detail, but it's important to know beforehand.
Despite this limitation, the STAHMFOVER Floating Shoe Shelves have become an essential part of my daily routine. Not only did they help me declutter my living room, but they also allowed me to showcase my shoes in a fun and creative way. Highly recommended for those looking to keep their space organized and looking for a touch of color!

As a shoe enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for unique and innovative ways to display my collection. The Floating Shoe Display Wall Mount promised to be a game-changer in my room decoration.
Upon setting it up, the wide-shaped design immediately caught my eye. It made more room for my sneakers and showcased them perfectly. The floating effect offered by this display shelf couldn't be more impressive, thanks to the highly transparent clear acrylic material. It made my shoes seem to 'float' in mid-air, which added a touch of elegance to my room.
The 0.16" thick floating shoe display shelf was sturdy enough to hold most types of sneakers, while being unobtrusive. The platform size was just enough to accommodate sneakers up to size 14, making it a versatile option.
The installation process was a breeze. The included hardware made mounting on the wall a straightforward task. But the real icing on the cake was the impeccable packaging; each shelf was carefully wrapped and protected, ensuring its transparency and floating effect went unmarred.
However, one minor downside was the lack of a detailed installation guide. It could have been helpful for beginners, but other than that, this Floating Shoe Display Wall Mount exceeded my expectations. It's not just a shelf, but a statement piece for any shoe lover's room.

I recently had the chance to try out the Forzacx Floating Shoe Display Shelf with Lights. After unboxing, I was impressed by the sleek design of the shelf. It was easy to assemble and mount on the wall.
The glowing color-changing feature was definitely a highlight, adding a unique touch to displaying my shoes. However, the sturdiness could have been better as I noticed slight wobbling when displaying heavier shoes.
Overall, the stylish and functional display made my top shoes more appealing, but could use some improvements in stability.

As a shoe enthusiast, I was thrilled to try this floating shoe display shelf. It's the perfect way to showcase my collection in a unique and stylish manner. The acrylic material provides a crystal clear view of my shoes, while also giving them a distinct "hovering" effect.
Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to the pre-drilled holes and provided adhesives. The one-piece molding ensures sturdiness, and the shelf can easily be used to display other items too. However, be prepared to wait 24 hours after installing for the best results, and make sure to remove the protective film for full transparency.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the X-FLOAT Clear Floating Sneaker Shelves. Let me tell you, it was quite a sight to behold! Each shelf can hold two shoes and fit US Men's size 6-13. What really stood out, aside from the clear acrylic shelf, was the floating effect, where the front of the shelf is hidden underneath, giving the shoes a seemingly weightless appearance.
The sturdy 1/4 inch clear acrylic construction does its job, but I have a small concern about the support for larger shoe sizes. Additionally, the included hardware could have been more organized during packaging to ensure a smoother installation experience.
Overall, the X-FLOAT Clear Floating Sneaker Shelves are a great addition to any shoe enthusiast's collection, providing both a unique display and easy storage solution.

The STAHMFOVER 6-Pack Floating Shoe Shelves have brought an exciting twist to my shoe display. The clear floating shelves create the illusion of levitation, a feature I've never experienced before. What sets these shelves apart is their design. They sit flush against the wall, seamlessly blending with the shoes on display. This not only adds an aesthetic appeal but also ensures a stable foundation for the displayed shoes.
Each shelf has the capacity to hold two shoes, catering to all shoe sizes up to 14. This flexibility allows me to customize the display, showing off my collection in the best light possible. The installation process was simple, with the shelves coming equipped with all necessary hardware. The pre-drilled holes and included drywall anchors made the job a breeze, protecting the wall and reducing damage.
A significant highlight of these floating shoe shelves is their durability. The 1/4-inch thick acrylic material is sturdy and can easily carry up to 6 pounds of weight. I've come to rely on these shelves for showcasing my beloved sneakers, and I've been quite satisfied with the results. However, one drawback I've noticed is that the shelves are slightly prone to fingerprints. A quick wipe with a cloth usually solves the issue, but it's something worth mentioning. Overall, these clear floating shoe shelves are an excellent addition to any shoe lover's collection.

I've placed the Forzacx Floating Shoe Display Set of 5 in various areas of my home, including bedrooms and hallways, and it has significantly improved the aesthetic of these spaces. It not only serves as a functional storage solution but also adds a touch of elegance to my decor.
However, I have noticed that the acrylic shelves may require occasional dusting to maintain their transparency and appearance. Additionally, the product's weight capacity might be a concern for those with larger collections, as the weight of the displayed shoes could cause the shelves to sag if not supported properly.
Overall, the Forzacx Floating Shoe Display Set of 5 is a practical and attractive solution to showcase and organize sneakers in your living space. Its ease of installation, versatility, and sturdy construction make it a worthwhile investment for those seeking a stylish and functional storage solution.

Not only did they have space for six pairs of shoes, but they also offered a floating effect that made my shoes look like they were defying gravity.
The installation process was a breeze, and the clear material allowed me to easily spot my favorite sneakers. However, I did notice that the product's structural integrity wasn't the sturdiest—my kids would sometimes bump into the shelves, causing them to sway precariously. Overall, these floating shoe shelves provided a unique and functional way to organize my sneakers, but their durability could have been better.

Buyer's Guide

Floating shoe shelves provide an elegant and space-saving solution for storing footwear at home. As you consider purchasing these handy storage solutions, our guide will cover the essential features, considerations, and general advice to help you make the best decision.

Materials and Construction

https://preview.redd.it/3msuy9kpei5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39ad91a5ff0ff69688ad194c2d1df8ce19fa29b0
When browsing for floating shoe shelves, pay attention to the materials used, such as wood, MDF, or metal. Wooden shelves tend to be more durable and versatile, but they may require more maintenance. Metal shelves can be lightweight, easy to install, and low-maintenance, but they might not have the same aesthetic appeal as wooden shelves.

Weight Capacity

Consider the weight capacity of the shelves before making a purchase. Make sure they can support the total weight of your footwear without sagging or breaking. Look for shelving units with reinforced frames or brackets to ensure stability and durability.

Style and Aesthetics

Floating shoe shelves come in various designs, colors, and finishes. Consider your décor and choose a shelf that complements it. Some floating shelves even feature built-in handles or shelves for additional storage space, making them more functional and practical.

Installation and Maintenance

Some floating shoe shelves require assembly, while others may come pre-assembled. Make sure the shelving unit you choose is easy to install and doesn't require any drilling or mounting. As for maintenance, keep your shelves clean and dust-free, and periodically inspect them for any signs of wear and tear.

Space and Storage Considerations

Measure the space where you plan to install the shelves to ensure they fit perfectly. Also, consider the number and size of shoes you want to store and choose a shelf with appropriate dimensions. Finally, floating shoe shelves can double as a decorative feature, so don't be afraid to think outside the box in terms of placement and arrangement.

Quality and Brand Reputation

https://preview.redd.it/78g3mx2qei5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5064b6dc5df06c01078395b15e1538de1d73d71b
When choosing a floating shoe shelf, look for a reputable brand known for producing high-quality products. Check customer reviews and ratings to get an insight into the overall satisfaction of other buyers. A stable, durable, and well-designed shelf will provide you with a long-lasting and functional solution to your storage needs.

Budget

Finally, consider your budget when choosing a floating shoe shelf. While expensive options may offer superior quality and durability, there are also many affordable alternatives available that can still provide an efficient and attractive footwear storage solution.
By taking into account these key factors and features of floating shoe shelves, you can make an informed decision and select the best storage solution for your home.

I finally bought the Pilot S10 & S20 and it’s 🔥
After reading tons of Reddit reviews and watching Japanese stationery YouTubers, I finally bought them! I’ve never been this happy with my other mechanical pencils 😅 (I still like them though).
They just feel right in my hand (as someone who grips near the middle of the pencil and cross my thumb over my index finger). The pencil shape, weight distribution (near the tip), and grip length is just 🤩. I can’t think of anything negative to say. It’s just great.

2024.06.09 10:12 OverwatchShake Possible theory as to Ryan Cohen's plan: no moass. Discussion invited.

Hi everyone. Been here since jan '21, rarely make posts, always offer reassurance because I've always been sure of the thesis. If there is still an outsized short position, I am in until it is resolved, because an open short is nothing but a promise to buy a share at some date in the future. I've never seen any indication that they closed and the ride has been fun as hell.
But now I've been struggling to understand the second offering of shares and have been thinking a lot on it. I've landed on something that kind of makes sense with all the hints from Ryan Cohen, Larry Cheng, etc.
We're not squeezing them, we're cooking them. Boiling them like a frog. Why?
Because squeezing them is hard and unreliable. They could and would possibly just turn off the buy button again -- same story, not enough collatoral, the clearing house would not sanction it without it, doubling down on their lame excuse all those years ago, all payment for order flow brokers just shutting down buying.
Moreover, if the squeeze is not powerful enough they wouldn't even have to do that, they could just close some shorts at the bottom, sell overpriced options premium, and when the squeeze runs out of steam short it near the top, try to scare new investors and kick the can, collecting the premium from options to offset short term losses.
Moreover the company would be under scrutiny to show they did not facilitate the squeeze.
I think Ryan Cohen is simply going to offer new shares every time the price jumps, raise the hard bottom price of the stock, buy shares and become a holding company like Berkshire Hathaway. He just wants the shorts off his back, out of the company, while using the periodic sneezes to bolster Gamestop's balance.
Currently at $27 Gamestop's market cap is at 8.5 billion. If Gamestop has 4.25 billion in the bank that means it can never go under $15 on brand value and cash on hand alone. The shares would probably do well over time as the stock market usually goes up. And every time the price sneezes he does it again, raising the floor of the stock.
If the short position is huge and multiple times the float this would cook them -- as when the floor of the stock rises to $30, then $40 eventually the entire short position would still be underwater with no means to ever go green again. Institutional money would flood in any time it dips below the floor.
If the short position is substantial but not multiple times the float -- this would give the shorts a potential way to get out while benefiting the company and long-term investors (not speculators, which technically we are hoping for moass).
Lastly, it would definitely clear the company of all suspicions of manipulation, since they gave the short side many outs.
I'm not a finance professional, and I don't know anything. I'm hoping to learn in the comments what smarter folk than I think about Ryan Cohen's intentions and what awaits us going forward.
Not meant to fud. Even while working this out, selling never crossed my mind, it is in all scenarios in my best interest to hold. Even in the "worse" scenario, all risk of losing is removed over time by the rising floor.
I'm still hoping for moass, but I'm not sure RC wants it. I feel that like chess-players we should objectively evaluate our position and not blindly hope. I'm interested in your thoughts -- especially from the people that are experts in finance or management, but feel free to weigh in with anything.

2024.06.09 10:07 Greenie1O2 Speculating .3 levels part 3

3.3 The Spider And The Fly
"The skittering of many legs haunt the harvesting grounds at night, these leafcutters will need to be vigilant"
This level takes place in a wide open clearing with lots of harvesting patches spread throughout. The map is 1.5 times bigger than in 3.1.
Challenge mode is available as phorid flies.
The mission begins - this leaf cutter ant queen has dug out a small burrow near a vast rainforest clearing. With abundant vegetation nearby, the colony's harvesting operations are sure to be bountiful.
There is an underground chamber that must be dug out before excavating the entrance. It contains a gigantic tarantula molt.
You dig out the underground chamber - the ants have excavated the burrow of Theraphosa Blondi, the Goliath birdeater, these gargantuan spiders live in hollow cavities under the leaf litter and are so large that they have been known to capture and devour small birds. The colony is fortunate, this burrow is abandoned, occupied only by the discarded skin of its previous inhabitant.
You dig to the surface - although the birdeater has forfeited her previous burrow, she may still remain in this area, the nearby tree hollows provide perfect ambush spots for capturing prey, the colony must choose their foraging paths wisely.
The map is large and flat, the saplings are mostly growing opposite of your nest, you need to travel large distances to harvest leaves.
There are four trees on the edges of the map, each one has a hole at the base that leads to an underground system, the inside of which is covered by spider webs that slow down ants. during the day, the tarantula could be hiding in any of these holes. During the night, it emerges to hunt, roaming the clearing and killing anything that crosses it's path.
The birdeater tarantula is a titan, only slightly smaller than the bullfrog. Each bite executes an ant, it can run away at low health. It's the fastest creature in the game.
You enter any of the empty tree hollows for the first time - a scouting party of attas has uncovered one of the birdeater's ambush spots, and it appears to have been used recently. The walls are covered in thick webs that make movement difficult. Thankfully the spider isn't present, for now.
You enter an occupied burrow for the first time - the ants have entered the tarantulas nest! Sending the intrusion, it runs out to face the soldiers.
You encounter the tarantula on the surface for the first time - the harvesting trail has been disrupted by the birdeater tarantula. Out on the hunt tonight, she won't shy away from the buffet of prey conveniently exposed on the surface. If the ants do not possess the numbers to drive it away they should retreat while they still can.
Once you have encountered the tarantula for the first time the objective appears - eliminate the birdeater
The objective appears - with their nighttime harvest being cut short by the birdeater's hunt, this colony has little chance to grow and flourish. The only obstacle standing in their way is the spiders rule over the clearing, it must be eliminated.
You drive away the spider - feeling momentarily overwhelmed, the birdeater has decided to retreat into her burrow to heal. The ants should stockpile vegetation while they can, she won't be gone forever.
When encountered in one of her burrows, the spider has double the attack speed and all ants are slowed by the web, making her much more difficult to engage.
On the third night, the Goliath birdeater invades your nest and only leaves after killing the queen.
The tarantula enters your nest - the birdeater tarantula has followed one of the harvesting trails into the nest! Driven by hunger, she bulldozes through the nest tunnels, this could mean extinction for the colony!
Crab spiders hide on the leaves of plants and have different colours depending on what plant they are on. They insta-kill any ant that walks to the leave on which they are ambushed (Except for majors). They sometimes switch plants.
You get ambushed by a crab spider on a leaf - a harvesting worker has been subdued by misumenia vata, a crab spider. similarly to certain reptiles, this master of ambush can change color to blend in with its surroundings. Once prey enters striking distance, the spider swiftly incapacitates it with a single venomous bite.
You encounter a crab spider on the ground - a crab spider has rushed into the trail. Out on open terrain and with no ambush spot in sight, it will likely be made short work of by the soldiers.
At night, poison frogs roam the clearing, any ant that touches them will be poisoned and will inevitably die. they can consume ants to heal themselves and hop away at low health.
You encounter a poison frog - an ant has been snatched away by an Amazonian poison frog, their name is well earned and the leaf cutters should think twice about engaging such a foe. With It's bright coloration warning the jungle predators of the potency of its venom even the birdeater gives them a wide berth.
Bullet ants roam the forest floor in small packs.
You encounter bullet ants - the leafcutter have encountered a scouting party of bullet ants, paraponera clavata. These fierce warriors are equipped with powerfull stingers and a pair of deadly slicing jaws, and the attas have encroached on their territory.
You encounter the tarantula on the surface again - hungry once again, the birdeater wrecks havoc on the attas harvesting trail and slaughters tens of workers in the ongoing panic.
You win by killing the tarantula - it's exoskeleton mauled by the sharp Atta mandibles, the Goliath birdeater could no longer hold out. It's mangled body will serve as a warning to all jungle invertebrates. The rainforest belongs to the leafcutters.
You lose to the tarantula - as the Goliath birdeater dug up the nest, it was only a matter of time before she sunk her fangs into the queen, paralysing her and sucking out her liquified innards. Unable to stand up to this monster, the colony will wither away and disappear from this clearing.
Night falls - the sky darkens, and the tarantula emerges from her lair to hunt. The leafcutters must harvest with caution.
Day arrives - as the sun's first morning rays shine over the canopy, the birdeater retreats into her cool burrow to digest the nights catch. She will be back soon.

2024.06.09 10:07 ItWasWalpole-alt Spain show their class to beat Northern Ireland

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cg3315pz4jxt
Northern Ireland's three-game unbeaten run came to an end with a comprehensive 5-1 defeat by Spain at the Son Moix Stadium.
Michael O'Neill's side had taken the lead through a Daniel Ballard header in only the second minute of the game, but the quality of their hosts was evident throughout, most notably in a first half when they found the net four times.
On a night when 16-year-old Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal again impressed, Spain would level the game through Pedri just 10 minutes after falling behind.
Goals from Alvaro Morata, another from Pedri and Fabián Ruiz had Spain 4-1 up at the break, with substitute Mikel Oyarzabal adding the only goal of the second half.
Luis de la Fuente's squad now turn their attention fully to Euro 2024, with their campaign beginning on 15 June against Croatia.
The game would represent an international debut for St Mirren midfielder Caolan Boyd-Munce and it was his delivery that found the head of Ballard for Northern Ireland's opener.
There were just 69 seconds on the clock when the Sunderland defender rose in the box to meet the teasing delivery and arched his header over Unai Simon, the Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper getting a hand to the ball but unable to stop it finding his net.
Northern Ireland's lead would last just 10 minutes with the Spanish side, as expected, monopolising the ball.
O'Neill's side have made the most of limited ball during their recent improved form, most especially against Scotland last time out, but here there was simply no way to relieve the pressure.
With Spain regathering the ball quickly high up the field time and time again, they would push their full-backs so far forward at times it looked as if they were playing only Nacho and Robin le Normand at the back.
That would create plenty of problems for Northern Ireland down the flanks and, while their equaliser came when Rodri was afforded too much space in midfield and fired into the corner from 25 yards, it was from wide deliveries where Spain looked most dangerous.
They moved 2-1 ahead on 19 minutes when Jesus Navas produced a brilliant cross from the right for Morata to nod home via the post, and doubled their lead 10 minutes later when the dangerous Nico Williams powered clear down the opposite wing and pulled back for Pedri.
Five minutes later, Yamal twisted and turned before measuring a brilliant ball into the Northern Ireland box for Ruiz to finish off.
While Spain were in complete control, Northern Ireland should have cut the deficit before the break with Simon only able to parry Shea Charles' effort from the edge of the box before Isaac Price blazed over when the rebound was poked back his way by Jamie Reid.
A series of substitutions saw the game lose its momentum and it would take until the hour mark for Spain to add to their lead in the second half.
Northern Ireland, though, felt they should have been awarded a free-kick before the ball found the net when Price was caught in possession by Yamal.
The officials saw nothing wrong with the challenge and Yamal's pull back gave substitute Oyarzabal a tap-in at the front post to follow on from his hat-trick against Andorra earlier in the week.
With their Euro 2024 opener coming closer into view, it was perhaps understandable that the intensity shown by Spain in the first half was largely lacking in the second, with Bailey Peacock-Farrell finding himself with less to do as the game wore on.
Indeed, it was Northern Ireland who could have scored next when another chance fell to Price, this time found by Dale Taylor, but the Standard Liege man was this time denied by Simon.
Later Ballard just could not find the right connection on another threatening set-piece, but it was Joselu who had the last real chance of the game only to fire over the bar from ten yards out.
While Spain head to the Euros among the favourites, Northern Ireland's players will have another opportunity to finish their own season on a high when facing Andorra in Murcia on Tuesday night.

2024.06.09 10:05 Shi144 Egotism vs Altruism

Dear Broadchurch fans, I have posted a series of rewatches of season 1 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadchurch\_series\_1) of Broadchurch. Now I find it is time to review some of the prevalent themes within the series. Please be aware that I will discuss season 1 as a whole, so there may be spoilers ahead.
If you enjoy reading this essay, feel free to stop by my AnalysisVault to see if you find some more of my work to your liking. Please note that this subreddit is read only and comments should be made with the original posts rather than the cross-posted ones.

Egotism vs Altruism
One of the more prevalent themes in Broadchurch is the question of egotism vs altruism. I will give you a short overview of both concepts as well as the spectrum they represent, then speak about their implementation in the series and finally make a statement about why the makers chose to make it a central theme.

Wikipedia states:
Egotism is defined as the drive to maintain and enhance favorable views of oneself and generally features an inflated opinion of one's personal features and importance distinguished by a person's amplified vision of one's self and self-importance. It often includes intellectual, physical, social, and other overestimations. The egotist has an overwhelming sense of the centrality of the "me" regarding their personal qualities.
In essence, egotism is the personal philosophy of “me first”. A person with strong egotistical tendencies will make sure their own needs are met before those of others. Think, if you will, of the people who will take the best slice of cake for themselves or drive a gas guzzler out of convenience or cut the line at the airport to get the best seat. All of these are egotistical actions. On the other hand, some egotism is warranted for self-preservation. The parent who gives their all for their children but runs themself ragged in the process may need to exercise more egotism. The health care professional who routinely skips their break to care for never-ending patients may want to be more self-preserving by being more selfish. Things like that. In general, society views egotistic action and unfavorable while oftentime people with egotistical traits tend to be more successful in certain areas of life.

Altruism is the principle and practice of concern for the well-being and/or happiness of other humans or animals above oneself. While objects of altruistic concern vary, it is an important moral value in many cultures and religions. It may be considered a synonym of selflessness, the opposite of selfishness.
In essence, altruism is the personal philosophy of “others first”. A person with strong altruistic tendencies will make sure the needs of others are met before their own. Think, if you will, of the people who will hand out food to others happily but forget to get any of their own, take great strides to pick up trash in a local park or offer up their seat for a disabled person on the bus. All of these are altruistic actions. In general, society views altruism as beneficial and a trait to strive for while oftentimes people with altruistic traits tend to be less successful and may feel taken advantage of.

Basically, egotism vs altruism is the Captain Kirk vs Mr Spock discussion. Spock says: “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”, goes into a highly irradiated engine room to save the Enterprise and dies in the process. Kirk says “The needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many” and risks war with the Klingons because he can’t live without his buddy.
However, every action has aspects of both in them. Each action every person takes has both egotistic and altruistic nuances to them. The interesting part is where the balance falls. I will let you decide for yourself which way the pendulum swings on the following examples.
Some examples:
The healthcare worker who overworks themselves acts in an altruistic way because they support patients and help them get better. But they are also egotistical in their own way because being “the supportive one” strokes their ego.
The person who drives the gas guzzler acts in an egotistic way because they pollute the environment unnecessarily, take up a lot of space with their vehicle and probably stink up the place with their fumes. But they might also have an altruistic aspect because they need to move large groups of people, feel they are supporting an industry that gives jobs to workers or even further the economy by spending money.
The person handing out food but not taking any for themselves can be very altruistic but depending on the person they can be very egotistic instead, for example when they decide to hog the table, demand ever-lasting gratitude for their “sacrifice” and/or post their actions on social media for clout.
Finally, a person who writes lengthy analyses and posts them on Reddit may appear altruistic because they attempt to enrich the lives of others with their observations and (hopefully) witty posts. They may also be egotistic in an attempt to garner attention and positive reinforcement through the community they choose to post in.

Implementation in the series:
One of the great things about the series is the fact that they are aware of the different sides of egotism and altruism and allow the viewer to form their own opinion. Hardly ever is anything said bluntly, most of the time we are left to figure out things of our own. We see the way the characters act, we see the way they interact and are interacted with and we are left to make our own decision. Hardly ever are things black and white, hardly ever are we given the one true answer ™.
This is one of the main reasons the series is as emotionally impactful as it is. Because life is messy. Life isn’t neat. Life isn’t simple. Stories with simple and clear answers are not realistic because life doesn’t work that way. Think about it. In the last decade or so there were a lot of shows and movies looking deeper into the question of fairy tale villains and whether they were villains at all. Star Wars does this masterfully by looking at Anakin Skywalker’s arch. He seems like a clear-cut villain in episode 4, the first to hit the screens, but as more of his story is revealed, he becomes much less cartoonishly evil.
In fact, the idea of egotism vs altruism is the driving factor in the various aspects of the investigation the detectives conduct. Look at the different suspects, if you will. All of them have (at the very least) some very egotistical behaviors. Steve Conelly, con man and maybe psychic is getting a feeling of importance when passing on his “messages” to the great expense of Beth Latimer, among others. Mark Latimer is so very much wrapped up in his selfishness he neglects just about everyone around him unless caring for them fulfills his needs. Nigel Carter engulfs himself with righteous anger against Jack Marshal, not for the community but seeking Mark’s approval. Paul Coates revels in the attention he and his church gain from the case. Susan Wright is so eager to protect herself, she harms others pre-emptively. Jack Marshal, the man who slept with a child, then married her. No 40-year-old man would do that for selfless reasons.
All of the suspects we are presented in the show are – in one way or the other – selfish. And that’s perfect. Murdering a child is an inherently selfish action. The true joy of the show comes with finding out that the murderer is a man who we are made to perceive as deeply selfless.
Let’s take a look at Joe Miller and how he is portrayed on the show. As I have stated in the various rewatch posts, most of the time Joe Miller is shown as loving, caring and genuinely supportive parent and partner. As u/Vioralarama stated so well in my post about episode 5, “He's got the plot armor of the supportive spouse who handles all the emotional work for the person working the crime.” On the surface, he does. Every time we see Joe Miller, he is seen with a member of his family. And every time he is seen he is doing some sort of supportive work for them.
Case in point, when Joe and DS Miller invite DI Hardy to their home for dinner, Joe does it all. Puts the kids to bed, prepares dinner, does the dishes. He tries to mediate between DI Hardy and DS Miller, too, and makes a great effort to lighten the mood.
Once you look below the surface, though, things look entirely different. We see glimpses here and there that things are not what they seem, mostly through things we DON’T see rather than the things to DO see.
Joe Miller shows some worrying signs of being a neglectful parent and partner quite early on in the show. To pick up the example of the dinner experience, when DS Miller leaves the room, Joe Miller uses the time he has alone with DI Hardy to probe him for information. If he truly were the supportive husband the show wants us to believe, he would’ve used that time to help both find common ground in their working relationship. DI Hardy is the one who brings that up and asks about whether DS Miller likes him. The conversation is cut short though as Joe Miller filled the narrow time slot with questions about the case and didn’t leave DI Hardy enough to ask about how to improve his working relationship with DS Miller. Case in point, DS Miller keeps complaining that DI Hardy addresses her as “DS Miller” instead of “Ellie”. This would have been a great talking point for Joe Miller in that moment, asking “why” and mediating between them. Also, did Joe Miller make a dinner invitation to help DS Miller and DI Hardy form a working relationship or did he do it to garnish information?
More examples:
When DS Miller and Joe Miller tell Tom Miller about Danny’s passing, both leave him alone in his bedroom. Neither offer a shoulder to cry on. Sure, DS Miller is just as responsible as Joe here but Joe is the stay-at-home parent and therefore the more direct caretaker than DS Miller. Also, over the course of the show we never see Joe actually engaging with Tom, there is no attempt at comforting him, not even when he is obviously distraught. Joe Miller lets Tom out of his sight at the Arcade in episode 5, right in the middle of the “pedophile panic” surrounding Jack Marshal. Just in general, Tom spends a LOT of time wandering the town alone. This image doesn’t sit well with the façade of caring, loving, altruistic father.
Indeed, the filmmakers are pulling one over our eyes with Joe, who turns out to be one of the most egotistic persons in the town. Joe spends time and family money on Danny, he breaks into a holiday hut to do so, manipulates the boy with abuser language and, when threatened to be deprived of his attention, gets so angry he strangles the boy. Whom he still believes to be his son’s best friend. And who is his best friend’s son. The same best friend he then begs for praise because he didn’t drop the body into the ocean so he didn’t have to spend years wondering what happened to the boy.
But why do the filmmakers do this? The series REVELS in red herrings, side plots, dead ends and misdirection. The greatest misdirection they can give us is showing us the “perfect” man and making him turn out to be the most terrible one of all. It’s an emotional gut punch and the type of storytelling that works really well with the type of story they want to convey. Because the story of Broadchurch is not about Danny’s murder, it’s about the fallout that follows. A community like this learning that one of their “best people” is indeed a child murderer has to have a terrible ripple course through it, upsetting it deeply.
With so many other characters filling the “egotism” bill, we are offered a view beyond the picturesque coastal town in Dorset, England, where things look perfect, harmonious and just lovely. The series revels in showing us this image and dissecting it piece by piece, looking deeper and deeper into the cesspool of secrets and bad decisions. As such, the viewer is given the change to observe the deep hurt inflicted upon the more altruistic characters – most of which happen to be women – by the egotistic characters – many of which happen to be men. It is the direct and even more terribly indirect hurt that is inflicted upon the altruistic ones that gives the story the emotional impact it has.
Case in point, Beth Latimer and DS Miller both are exploited by their husbands and end up not only dealing with the direct fallout of their respective actions but hurt to a point they cannot even rely on each other anymore. They are both stripped of the delusion of happiness and family being their haven. They are also both stripped of a friendship which could supply each with a friend who “gets it”. Heck, just for the fun of it the makers toss in Susan Wright, a woman who has been so terribly hurt by her husband that she became jaded enough to “join the other team”. She has become the egotistic abuser her husband was simply because she (probably) used to be altruistic. Her experience with her husband, the police and the loss of her kids have kicked her to the other side of egotism simply out of a deep need for self-preservation.
Before the question comes up, no, the series is not about men vs women, or men = bad, women = good. And neither is this post. There are egotistic women in the story, like Karen White, Susan Wright or Becca Fisher. There are altruistic men in the story, too, like DI Hardy. But the trend is quite distinct. In my own personal experience this comes from the general societal expectation that women should be altruistic and work for the group. An expectation that is not socialized as thoroughly in men. The show picks up on this and showcases it to great effect, placing a great emphasis on the price some women are made to pay for following this expectation.
Finally, the question of egotism vs altruism is a thinking point the viewer is left to ponder with beyond the end credits of the last episode. The discussion of who is what and how much can keep the viewer’s mind busy for some time. Several people on this sub posted they hated Mark Latimer’s selfishness, and many commenters agree. If you ask me, this is a great result for a series, making the viewers contemplate things such as this beyond the actual viewing experience.

2024.06.09 10:00 RationalOverRage Students turning on me, but lying to each other, do I be honest with them?

So I have had one student, let’s call her Sally, who has been incredibly disrespectful and toxic all year. Sally has also managed to convince two of her friends to be disrespectful to me, who are normally not (let’s call them Amy and Fran). Sally and Amy didn’t complete a group presentation project on-time and thus failed. Initially they blamed me for not giving them an extension.
Then Sally emailed me some research she did for the presentation project and told me Amy was the reason she failed and asked me to never put her in a group with Amy again because Amy does nothing but drag her down. Sally’s mark increased slightly based on the research submitted, but she still failed the unit. Sally never said that her request to not be in a group with Amy again was to be kept confidential.
Sally continued to be horrible to me for the rest of the semester and continued to always work with Amy and both Amy and Sally would get mad at me if I did let them work together. She only seemed to blame Amy right after failures, but then would go right back to blaming her teacher.
Amy is now emailing me saying that she heard Sally passed the unit because she handed in some research. Amy is blaming me for not telling her that she could have passed the unit if she had handed in some research. Of course… these are all lies. Sally did not pass the unit and the research she handed in did virtually nothing to her grade.
I want to tell Amy that Sally is lying to her about passing the unit to preserve my reputation of treating every student fairly. I also want to tell Amy that Sally also requested to not be in a group with her again. The hope here is that Amy will see that Sally is a toxic person that blames others for her failures and it is not actually me, the teacher, who should be blamed for both of their failures. Maybe Amy could realize that Sally is not a good influence and there are other friends she should associate with who don’t lied and double-cross her. Should tell Amy this?
TLDR: should I tell one student that her friend, who has convinced her that I am the reason for both of their poor grades, actually privately blames the student for her poor grade ?

2024.06.09 09:58 AnalythicSearch444 Navigating the DC-6 over the sea

The DC-6 in msfs does only have conventional radio navigation, and the default gps (which I never use because I hate it). In xp the B727 and the B742 have Civa-ins which helps when you're crossing the sea, I.e. from Scandinavia to Iceland. How did the DC-6 do this IRL? I'm sure they didn't have a gps.

2024.06.09 09:51 RIPCYTWOMBLY I Asked CHATGPT to Solve the Unsolved Zodiac Killer Cipher

I Asked CHATGPT to Solve the Unsolved Zodiac Killer Cipher
I wanted to see if GPT could solve the unsolved Zodiac Killer “MY NAME IS” Cipher. It ended up “solving it” and apparently the name is DON. The apparent name of the Zodiac Killer. Not saying I completely believe it but I find it interesting. here’s what it gave me when I asked it to Solve the unsolved Cipher:
“ To solve the cipher "AEN+8K8M8{NAM" assuming it follows a similar pattern to previous Zodiac Killer ciphers, we can break down the process methodically. Let's step through the potential approaches and methods you can use.

Detailed Steps to Solve the Cipher

  1. Identify and Define the Symbols:
    • Symbols used: A, E, N, +, 8, K, M, {, N, A, M
  2. Substitution Hypothesis:
    • "+" often represents "E" based on historical Zodiac ciphers.
    • The "8" symbol might represent a frequently used letter like "T" or "H".
  3. Apply Frequency Analysis:
    • In a short text like this, analyze common letter pairings and placements, especially considering it might spell a name.
  4. Testing Common Patterns:
    • Use possible Zodiac-related substitutions.

Step-by-Step Substitution

Hypothesis 1: Basic Substitution

Based on historical substitutions and common patterns:
  • "+" might represent "E".
  • "8" might represent "T" (or a high-frequency letter like "H").
Using this initial substitution:
  • AENEKTEKMTNAM (where "+" is replaced by "E" and "8" is replaced by "T").

Testing Common Names:

Approach 1: Anagram and Context Matching

Given the structure "My name is", it’s likely a name. Rearrange and match common name patterns:
  1. Rearrange the letters to form potential names or phrases.
    • Possible names based on English patterns (focus on typical name structures).

Approach 2: Look for Common Substitutions

  1. Re-evaluate each symbol:
    • E.g., if 8 could be multiple letters like "H", "T", or "R".
  • Re-examine "8" potentially being "H":
    • AENEKHEKMHNAM

Combine with Pattern Recognition:

  1. Check common letter patterns:
    • Names typically have vowels interspersed among consonants.
  2. Utilize known Zodiac ciphers for pattern matching:
    • Cross-reference known Zodiac Killer cipher solutions for potential letter matches.

Advanced Combination Approach

Given the structure and Zodiac’s historical cipher methods:
  1. Substitute Known Values:
    • "+" as "E", "8" as "T" or another frequent letter.
  • Resulting partial substitution:
    • AENETKTMTNAM (where "8" is "T").
  1. Pattern and Name Matching:
    • Match potential names:
      • Check common suspect names or frequent Zodiac references.

Verification and Cryptographic Tools

  1. Use Cryptographic Tools:
    • Tools like CrypTool can handle complex ciphers.

Final Hypothesis

Considering the context and structure:
  1. Review All Substitutions:
    • Check historical Zodiac ciphers.
    • Utilize frequency and pattern analysis tools.

Practical Substitution:

Using the substitutions and patterns recognized:
  1. Rearrange and Validate:
    • Substitute based on historical context:
      • Likely an anagram of a known name or pattern.
  • Match with known suspect names.

Conclusion

Given the complexity and constraints:
  1. Result:
    • Based on the substitutions, the cipher text "AEN+8K8M8{NAM" likely translates into a pattern involving "DON" or "RON" as potential names (historical patterns of Zodiac ciphers).
  2. Final Name Hypothesis:
    • "DONALD" or similar known name patterns fit the context.
Without more extended cipher text for broader analysis, this substitution aligns with historical Zodiac cipher patterns and decoding methodologies. Cross-referencing with known Zodiac solutions provides the final decoded text.”

2024.06.09 09:47 Rare-Reindeer-2090 I completed Faster than Light:FTL over the weekend, what a ride

Reached last sector on like the third run, not hard when I retreat out battles I can't win.
No wait, I HAVE to fight a boss? So this is not a survival game that requires wits and brains then? I have a bad feeling about this...
But let's see what's what first. First stage, no issue. But they retreated, as expected. Old tricks. Second stage, hold on, the attack frequency doesn't sound right.
Had to retreat halfway, because my crew is not skilled enough to handle boarding drones. And who will be, it's supposed to be about resource management and survival, isn't it? My bad feeling intensifies.
Repaired and fighting second stage for the second time, I was crossing my fingers hoping it's going to be RNG but not the same attack pattern...
Nope, it's the same. Watched the recording and did a rough calculation on boss's DPS, even if RNG is on my side, it requires at least 3 shields which I don't have.
My bad feelings confirmed - This is not a survival game, but a stat-based RPG ripping off FF4/5/6's combat mechanic.
This is going to be a good use of time... but I'm still hopeful. Resources are finite from stores, aren't they?
Nope, turns out time pressure, the map, and the fuel limitation - all smoke and mirrors. Out of fuel on its own is an event generator.
Okay, not ideal. It's now simply a matter of grinding every single sector. Turned difficulty on Hard, started a new run.
Yep, there's no resource management, no survival. Okay, maybe a bit at the beginning, but soon not just battles, but the entire game became an absolute slog.
At one stage I began to put battles on autofire. Because 2 minutes of hands-off time is more valuable to me than 15 seconds of hands-on waiting to click time. Good luck surviving multiple shields and multiple sets of burst laser.
When I have enough ""scraps"" to buy every store empty, it simply shows how poor UI is:
  1. I've never missed a beam weapon, never in over 50 shots - it's either bugged or have innate 100% accuracy. Was it stated? Nope.
  2. Bombs bypass defence drones. Good luck when RNG is not on your side and have to fight the last battle with missiles. Would you know that? Nope, of course there won't be a list of weapon catalogues; and of course the fanbase will tell you it's part of the rouge-lite fun. Same for super shields and hijacking rewards - good luck finding any info about it.
  3. Intruders on ship will show you their names instead of any usual racial information. I bet they come wearing make-ups with a welcoming smile on their faces too. Good luck not encountering any new race in-store, because then you wouldn't know their racial bonus and wouldn't have to remember their pixel arts. Just run blind into a brick wall, the fanbase will tell you it's fun.
So here I'm, back after witnessing the replies from confrontational mansplainers seemingly brought up by self-obsessed patriarchy and a strong sense of self-righteousness. Completed the game and presenting an one sentence review:
TL;DR FTL is a stat-based resource-hoarding linear game that rewards simply based on time invested, stay away if you are after a puzzle that needs a brain to solve.
If you still insist to play, go RTFM (Read the fucking manual)... oh wait, there isn't one :)

2024.06.09 09:31 KoreanBunz Japan Trip Report (Last week of May and first week of June)

So, finally, my SO and I back home after an exciting Japanese Vacation. It was on our bucket list for years and we are so glad we did it and it went smoothly.
We landed at Narita Airport at 7 AM and finished our immigration and customs by 7.45 AM. We bought our Passmo Passport from Keisei Information Centre in literally two mins without a queue and were in the three persons queue at the Limousine Bus stop for our airport transfer to Shinjuku. I highly suggest the Limousine Bus Service as it was the most convenient and comfortable ride from NRT Airport to Shinjuku. The staff speaks English and put your luggage in the storage compartment, without you to have to worry about it. You can buy the tickets of limousine bus on KLOOK or at the arrivals hall of NRT airport.
From Shinjuku stop where the limousine bus dropped us and handed our luggage to us, we took a taxi to our hotel. It costed us 1200 yen and 10 mins to our hotel in Nishi Shinjuku. We had typed the hotel name and address in Japanese and printed it out. That piece of paper proved very useful after a 12 hour flight and 2 hour bus ride. We just handed out the printed paper to our taxi driver and he dropped us off at our hotel without a single word exchanged between us except thank you (arigato gozaimasu). It took away the anxiety of explaining our hotel address to taxi drivers in English and broken Japanese.
Our hotel was APA Hotel & Resort NishiShinjuku Gochome Eki Tower. We had booked an early check in for additional payment of 1000 yen per hour. We reached our double room on higher floor with city view and were shocked by the size of it. NO AMOUNT of research and reading up could mentally prepare us for the size of it. It was TINYYYYYYYY. But, very well appointed with night suits, kimono robes, room slippers, onsen slippers, huge TV, small bath tub, king size bed, working station with a chair, etc. We soon found our groove in the tiny room and found it to be very comfortable once the luggage was under the bed. I would highly recommend this hotel as it has an onsite onsen, swimming pool (payable), speedy WiFi, English speaking staff, vending machines, laundromat, luggage storage and transfer facility. But, its biggest plus point is that it’s 100 mts away from the NishiShinjuku Gochome Station with an elevator exit. That was the most convenient for us.
After relaxing in the tiny room for about 3 hours, we left the hotel at 2 PM for Meiji Jingu Shrine. We used the subway for it and it was very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful zen walk into the forest like atmosphere to reach the shrine. It was completely empty barring three more people about 1 km ahead of us. When we reached the Meiji Jingu Shrine we were greeted by a crowd. We spent maximum of 30 mins in the shrine and then walked to Takeshita Street. It was a 15 min relaxed walk and we enjoyed it. We LOVED the Takeshita Street and the hustle bustle there, spent around two hours, shopping for street wear fits and eating the crepes and tanghulu sweet treats. From there we walked the Cat Street, which was almost deserted and we didn’t even realise that we had already finished walking the iconic Cat Street until we asked a local. From Cat Street we walked to Shibuya, it was a 25 minutes walk and I had started to feel the tiredness by now. We found a Tully’s Cafe about 5 mins away from Shibuya crossing and chilled there for one hour having coffee and smoothies.
We reached the Shibuya Crossing by 6.30 PM and the excitement to see thousands of people crossing the iconic junction had pumped the energy back into me and I was ready for more exploring. We took a look at the Hachiku Statue and made our way up to Shibuya Sky for our entry slot of 7 PM. It was the most magical moment when we took the elevator up to the open observatory deck. The sky was turning red and rust and the Tokyo skyline lights were just firing up. We saw the sunset for about 15 minutes before the sky turned dark and then we enjoyed the night light views of Tokyo. It was absolutely STUNNING. Highly recommend booking the 6.45-7 PM slot for Shibuya Sky. We booked it via KLOOK about one month in advance.
We got down from Shibuya Sky by 8.30 PM and although we had a reservation at a vegan restaurant at Shinjuku for 9 PM, I personally couldn’t last any longer. I was extremely tired by that time so we took a subway back to our hotel. We rested in the hotel and had Seven Eleven ice cream and onigiri for dinner in our room and rested till about 11 PM.
At around 11 PM my FOMO kicked in and my partner and I took a cab to Omoide Yakucho drinking lane. It took us 8 mins by cab and 1000 yen. We had a local beer at the Albatross bar there and we loved the atmosphere and experience. We explored some more places in that lane but Albatross Bar was the best vibe. We then walked to Hotel Gracery to see the Godzilla head and Shinjuku neon billboards and lights. We found the area super greasy but it had a vibe of its own. We walked a bit further and found a nice beer brewery and bar and had a few beers there and it was amazing. We left that place by 12.30 AM and took a taxi back to the hotel. It costed us 900 yen. All in all it was the MOST FUN and ICONIC first day of a Tokyo trip. We had clocked 22,000 steps on Day 1.
Day 2:
We woke up by 8 AM and left the hotel by 10 AM. We first reached the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and had breakfast at the traditional Japanese tea house at the national garden. We relaxed in the garden and explored till about 12.30 pm and we left for TeamLabs Planet. We reached there and booked ourself the lunch experience at Uzu Restaurant at Tokyolabs Planet. It was hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST lunch experience with the yummiest bowl of Vegan Ramen. We enjoyed the immersive experience and were ready for experiencing the main exhibit by 3.30 PM. We spent two hours in the exhibit and it was absolutely the highlight of our trip. We both lovedddddd TeamLabs Planet experience and can’t wait to be back.
At around 6 pm we left for Asakusa area from Teamlabs and reached the Senso Ji temple at around 6.45 pm. We explored the shopping streets around the temple and watched the sun go down behind the temple. It was just so so so so beautiful. We had dinner at a roadside restaurant there and they were plenty. My SO loved the area so much that he made me promise that we will stay in this area instead of Shibuya or Shinjuku on our next visit to Tokyo. The man has taste.
We were back to our hotel by 10 PM and had drinks at our hotel bar and slept off by 12 AM.
We had successfully used the subway system without getting lost but we had also successfully AVOIDED starting or ending our subway journeys from the terrifying Shinjuku Station for first two days and we highly recommend everyone to do the same.
Because on Day 3 we got lost at Shinjuku station and it was NOT FUN. On day 3 we checked out of our hotel by 10 am and took the subway to Don Qui store Shinjuku (our hotel stored our luggage for us post check out). We spent 2.5 hours in Donki and other Shinjuku shopping places and while returning with our shopping bags we got lost in Shinjuku station for about an hour and I personally felt super disoriented but my SO took over the navigation and somehow we reached our hotel by 2 pm.
We then took our bags and made our way to Tokyo International Cruise Terminal via subway and metro. A sweet local Japanese girl guided us to the metro stop which was two floors above from where we were and she very kindly travelled with us on the escalators two whole floors up. I had never experienced such kindness from a stranger and was truly grateful and overwhelmed by her kindness.
We then embarked on our cruise ship at 3.30 PM and I will write the cruise report in the next post.
But, I must say that these 2-2.5 days in Tokyo were genuinely I had dreamed of and more. Although it was tiring t walk 20k steps a day but it was more than worth it. I can’t wait to be back.
