2024.05.16 06:10 Admiral-Mage [FO4] Weird CTD Glitch

So unsurprisingly, my copy of 4 is CTDing on start up after the NG update. No menu, no loading screen, just crashes. Now when I look it up, I see the issue is that downgraded versions don’t play nice with the new BA2 format or whatever, and I’d have to install a fix.
Here’s the issue: I didn’t downgrade. My version of the game is up to date, I even verified the files. I feel I should also mention that it was crashing for a bit even if I launched it outside of MO2 through steam. Still CTD. It eventually stopped doing that if I went vanilla but still worth mentioning.
I don’t think it’s a SE thing because I use very little begin with, and most of the ones I did use have either been updated already or don’t have any issues with crashes mentioned.

I'm on my 3rd NG+ now. The past 2 I just completed the main quest quickly, not really gaining affinity for my companions or doing any faction quests. This time, I think I'm gonna replay everything like a whole new character. But wow. I can't stop thinking about that first save. That first universe. All the versions of the characters I left behind. All my crew who went with me, Starborn themselves. Andreja, who is my first and, so far, only romance. She went through the Unity too. What's she doing? It actually makes me wonder, it is possible to even see those original characters again? My Andreja? My universe? I get the idea is that space and the universe is infinite, and by the time we're Starborn we shouldn't really care much, but I guess I'm different. I want to see them again. Could Shattered Space do that. probably Definitely not. Oh well. I keep thinking about these things while playing. Kinda sad. It's a lonely universe.
Thank god I finally have 60fps.

so i think i know when it shifted, but i might be wrong as an absentee bloom for the most part of their ⚡️breakout⚡️ year — it’s the combination of 3 years worth of readily accessible media showing the girls’ discipline, talent and charisma, and bini finding the right sound at the right time — the right time being aforementioned (aforementioned??!) kyotik videos going viral and pulling filo kpop fans kampana girls, 1k pamasahe, kinulang demo version, snow white spoken word, mama mary naglakad, kumpisal sa aparador, watergirl abante babae, red haired girl with a deep voice, tol kamutin mo nga likod ko, order taker sa wish bus, gta npc kyotik thread, etc by the time these unserious posts went viral, there was already a wealth of bini content that casual fans could consume and potentially turn them into actual blooms.
the best part is bini had just released another bubblegum pop song 🏝️ reflecting their newfound signature sound that pantropiko is #1 and breaking records 6 months after its release gives you an idea when kpop fans-turned-blooms and the general public embraced bini — but that embracing i think wouldn’t have happened if pantropiko weren’t a brilliantly written and produced track track — which brings us back to their signature sound.
the first time bini went truly viral was the na na na tiktok trend (pagpupugay kay chonk!!), and that was their cue to stick to what worked: tagalog bubblegum pop with bright visuals (sorry, strings dance version huhu mahal kita) new blooms and pantropiko enjoyers didn’t have to wait long for a song in the same vein.
lagi, na na na, kinikilig, i feel good, karera, then boom! talaarawan ep led by salamin salamin which took their popularity further then you have the older hmtu doing numbersss across platforms which shows that bini has leeway to expand their sound to slower tagalog songs. we already have that variety in talaarawan — na na nandito lang and ang huling cha cha. so may pang sayaw, meron ding pang soft hours so there. that concludes my thesis (thesis??!) on the shift that made bini household names seemingly overnight. thanks for coming to my bloomtalk 😄🌸

This issue has been plaguing me for many months and feel like I've tried everything possible to determine the source of the problem or fix it, but still it persists. I want to see if anyone on here has any ideas before take it somewhere for a repair.
Just crashing to desktop at random points in game. Sometimes it won't happen an hour or two. Sometimes it can happen every few minutes. This happens on most games I play (CS2, Tarkov, Portal2). On Tarkov it happens considerably less often.
I've done Windows Memory Diagnostic (no issues), Memtest86 (no issues), Reset the PC multiple times, Reinstalled Windows multiple times, Reinstalled drivers, anything else most sites say to do. I even bought a new graphics card. Still the same.

2024.05.15 23:47 BSGBramley Dark Souls 2 Review

Dark Souls 2 is usually treated as the bad apple, with many people saying say 'it's a good game but a bad Dark Souls game' and I have mixed feelings about this statement. When it was originally released, I agreed, but not for the usual arguments you heard. But I stopped playing halfway through due to bad hit detection, something that for me, is unacceptable in a soulslike. I was going to replay it after a patch or two. But my love of soulslike wasn’t as absolute back then, so never touched it until the re-release- the 'Scholar of the First Sin' Edition (SotFS), which included fixes hit boxes, better enemy placements, and all the bits of DLC included, and this version is so much better, and the version I will exclusively be reviewing.
Gameplay & Technical:
I hear a lot of people complaining about the very flow of the game, due to there being less monstrous boss fights, and many of the levels having much more enemies to fight, so it’s easy for them to surround you. I’m going to be the odd duck who disagrees with everyone and say I didn’t mind this at all. Every soulslike plays rarely deviates from the formula set by Dark Souls 1. Easy to semi difficult level design, with a difficult boss to cap that section off. Dark Souls 2 (and Lords of the Fallen 2023) are the only soulslike who seem to flip the difficulty around, creating easier boss fights but having levels with a much higher enemy density. While a lot of people dislike this change, I enjoy the change of pace as it is testing another skill set. Instead of testing my ability to dodge and block one big enemy, can I do this and remain spatially aware of everything else. Lords of the Fallen 2023 since changed their game to buff the bosses and remove many enemies, however Dark Souls 2 didn’t. They stuck to their guns meaning it was intentional. My guess is that the Devs knew they had tested their fans skills in Demon Souls and Dark Souls, so wanted this sequel to remain fresh and difficult so made the choice to go this route and I for one don’t mind that change occasionally. The DLC area’s then seem to return to the more standard formula.
Another boon of this gameplay is the subtle options it gives the player. You can beat the 4 huge boss souls to open the door to the castle... Or you can grind to a specific soul level if you would rather.
NG+ is one of the best in the genre, and From Software’s best by a mile. NG cycles have new enemy’s placements and items. And if you only want to beat your favourite bosses or get one item from NG+, then you can burn an effigy in the bonfire to upgrade that one specific area to NG+.. Meaning grinding for that boss door and ignoring bosses is very viable.
Story, Level Design, Art & Music:
The base games story here is inconsequential. It’s told in the usual drips and drabs, but with Dark Souls 1 being the first cycle, and Dark Souls 3 being the last, this being ‘just another one’ didn’t really hook me in the same way. The story implications of the ‘Three crowns’ DLC’s trilogy was much more interesting, and I really wanted this threat to continue more into the third game, but it wasn’t to be. The other thing that made a lot of sense story-wise was the health degradation system every time you hollowed to represent getting further and further from your humanity. Yes, it made the game harder, but I would have loved this change to have stayed in the third game as it works so well thematically.
The level design here is again a negative point to many people. It doesn’t loop back on itself- ever- in the base game, and it’s nonsensical in places. You can see a tower in the distance, walk to the tower, go to the top and there is an elevator which wasn’t visible from the outside that goes to a hidden sky castle. People didn’t like this, but it never really bothered me. Why can’t a fantast title have fantasy in its world? With the hindsight of playing Dark Souls 3, I wonder if this was intentional to show the world degrading in logic with every loop. A point driven home in the ringed city DLC of Dark Souls 3, when part of the Dark Souls 2 world can be seen scattered around. Again, the 3 crowns DLC’s return to the normal formula of shortcuts and logical places you can map out in your head.
My biggest complaint about this game is the art direction. A topic I haven’t heard any other person talking about. My biggest issue with this game, is the entire art direction just seems off to me. I will do my best to explain this, however I am struggling to word it, so if anyone gets what I’m trying to say and can word it better please let me know and I will amend my review.
Dark Souls 1 & 3's graphics are dark, grim, and dripping with atmosphere, in contrast Dark Souls 2 graphics are more vibrant, with a higher contrast and it loses the edge the other games in this series do so well, making the atmosphere less oppressive and the game feeling more like a more ‘typical’ fantasy game.
This isn’t strictly to do with the colour pallet, as Elden Ring also uses much brighter pallet, yet retains an art style in line with the rest of the series.
Conclusion:
Overall a lot of the common complains about Dark Souks 2 never bothered me and I found this an enjoyable game with some unique mechanics that fit the themes of the story perfectly The base game is enjoyable enough, however it’s the 3 pieces of DLC content that really tie this game together. These three DLC’s have all the base areas, boss fights and story in the game and I whole heartedly encourage you to play for this content. I personally, however, hate the visual design they chose, and am so happy they returned to the usual design in there later games.

hi im 18 y old f , I js wanna share sum few thngs bout my life and I really don’t if Im depressed, I used to be a honor student nung bata pa ako, elem days. But when lumipat kami ng probinsya, my parents broke up, we stayed in our lola and tita’s hometown, it really broke me down, I was 8-9 years old that time, ang dami kong natutunan, ang dami kong naranasan na mahihirap, nagaaral kami ng sister ko, maglalakad ng 2-3 hrs before makarating sa school ( 2 baryo/ baranggay dadaanan ) , binubudget kami ng lola, and I always get jealous of my sister kasi I feel like mas gusto nila yung sister ko kesa sakin, they always prepare her food/meals, mas malaki yung baon nya compared sakin although maliit na yun ik ( 20 pesos ) akin 10-15 pesos lol. Ofc I felt sad haha, used to sell sum gulay nilalako namin sa kalsada with my tita, para lang makabili ng bigas at ulam cause wala pang padala si mama. My father left us, like parang walang anak, he doesn’t care, magpaparamdam lang every birthdays, like greetings lang ganun haha, my mother naman ik she’s hardworking, but I just dont like na may boyfriend sya pero may asawa, they kept it as secret naman he’s rich and he helps my mom but with kapalit lol. When my mother brought me here sa manila, everything changes, like Ive grown up sa mindanao and its hard to speak tagalog again, so Highschool, sobrang nahihiya ako makipag socialize kasi ik from their eyes they’re judging me,( halata pa akong taga probinsya that time ) so ayun nawalan ako ng gana sa pagaaral until pandemic happened, mas lalong lumala, I don’t know pano makipag socialize kasi sa sobrang hiya haha, napabayaan ko na yung school ko, I always watch movies and listens to sad songs nalang, until natapos ko yung highschool and moved to another city and finished my senior, during my shs days, I felt more depressing like first time ko makapag aral in private school and eto nanaman yung hiya ko, I took STEM kasi ubos na yung slot ng ibang strands so. It was really hard tbh, lalo na known private school pa yung pinasukan ko haha, its very hard for me na magsalita sa class, recitation, reporting, nanginginig ako, my heart beats so fast like idunno, so far I made sum friends naman but that doesn’t really help me, my friends seems fake hahaha they always talk or need me when they need something from me, so fuck yeah haha, 2nd year of shs, transferred to another school, I learned to be its better being alone, I dont have friends kasi I tried but I don’t like plastikan lol, so ganun parin pero I think it became worse, I always think about my life and shits happens all the time, minsan nagppanic attack ako sa school and then I hide nalang sa cr. I always think about my mother kasi she’s been hardworking in any business, and dati sobrang galit ako about sa bf nya which has a wife, but now I understand them although ik mali yn, they’re js seeingn each other hindi nakastay sa bahay. My mom is a single mother, my father is irresponsible shithead person and knowing marami rin siyang babae haha. (3) FNAF is a series that can be retconned, but not everything is a retcon. 2024.05.15 22:42 Wayward_Stoner_ NG+ serious bug on mission 16

Hi everyone,
I've seen someone on the Discord server saying they lost all their stuff after completing mission 16 on NG+.
Apparently it's the same bug from mission 22 in version 1.0.4 where you would lost all your money and things if you surrendered the Uisk.
This time tho the bug presents itself whether you surrender the veteran or not. Beware of this and please let us know if the same has happened to you.

2024.05.15 22:40 IAskQuestionsIGuess Is it normal for OBody NG to show every NPC body as Unknown?

I installed OBody NG and it looks like it works. When I press O I can change NPC's presets it changes. Works on PC too. However, every NPC (and PC) show as "Unknown/Unassigned Preset". Is this intended? I'm not sure if bodies work, they look different but maybe I just can't see the details enough.
I can see every single bodyslide preset, I get no issue on that end.
Edit: I followed the instructions to the letter. I can manually edit the bodies and they work. The mod just doesn't distribute it though. Disabled almost every mod except tne necessary mods and bugfix mods like USSEP, it doesn't help though. 1.5.97 and every requirement version is matching.
Even AutoBody works. In fact, installing it first, then installing OBody on same save (fresh used coc) works. That's how I confirmed AutoBody worked. For some reason OBody refuses to distribute the bodies though.

Last year I made this series of 10 videos comparing 9 Master Trials and 1 UN Trial in NG3 Vanilla and the Classic X360/PS3 version of Razor's Edge, using always the Dragon Sword (except for the UN Trial) and always done Solo --remember, both of this games had co-op mode available.

Hi, I'm new to Angular, i am supposed to make "router in submodules forChild" and use "/modulo1/child1" in the url to browse through, but the classes i am watching are using an old version of Angular and the new version is now standalone and doesn't create "app.module.ts", i know that i can create a project using "no standalone" but i want to use the new version. This is what i did in "no standalone" it works just fine, but how do i make the same thing using the standalone, without "app.module.ts" ?

Grabe yung hit ng nostalgia. Sobrang daming taon na pala talaga ang lumipas simula nung una ko silang nilaro. Napakasimple pa ng buhay noon. Wala pa masyadong inaalala. Puro laro at libangan lang.
Masaya naman ako sa kung nasan ako ngayon as an adult, kung hindi man sobrang saya. Kung makikita ako ng younger version ng sarili ko, kakahangaan niya kaya ako?

I still like the layout ng Playstation controller kasi dyan talaga ako sanay and recently, nag cocontemplate ako if ok lang ba sakin yung Xbox layout since yan yung layout nung Ultimate pati yung Kingkong Pro 2.
Then nakita ko may update na version yung Pro 2 na naka Hall Effect, at a much cheaper price pa, and of course, PlayStation layout,
I wonder if I kung Pro 2 Hall Effect Edition na lang ba kunin ko instead of the other two?
Mainly modern singleplayer games din naman nilalaro ko like Nioh 2, Dirt Rally 2.0, Forza Horizon 4, and some PS2 emulation on the side.
