Banjo Kazooie is one of Rare's most famous and beloved franchises to come to light during the N64 era. Both the original and its sequel garnered great critical and fan acclaim during its heyday, and is still enjoyed by fans new and old. It was re-released on Xbox 360, and make playable on Xbox One via Rare Replay. Banjo-Kazooie also made cameos in Diddy Kong Racing, Sonic and Sega All-Star Racing, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

2024.05.29 05:39 NeoHyper64 Arcade1Up won't build it, so I did... Soul Calibur XL is here!

Arcade1Up won't build it, so I did... Soul Calibur XL is here!
Some of you may have seen me drop hints here and there (or a full preview on the Super Gameroom Dudes), but 4 months later, I've finally finished my biggest Arcade1Up mod project to-date:
Arcade1Up NBA Jam Shaq XL is now... Soul Calibur XL!
There's a lot that went into this cab, and I basically built the entire thing 2 or 3 times over because of all the trial-and-error as I used new tools, tried new materials, got measurements wrong, etc. It was FAR more complicated than my prior NeoGeo build, but the results are better, too. Here is where I ended up with what went into this beast.
Cabinet ($600):
  • This started life as a standard Arcade1Up NBA Jam Shaq XL cabinet. I didn't want that game, only the shell. So, I only assembled the frame of it.
Control Panel:
  • The 4-player deck was replaced with a fully custom 2-player deck of my own design. I started with a sloped, Midway-style design, but the angle wasn't comfortable for my height (I'm 6'2"), so I settled on a raised, flat design that felt much better. The whole thing is made of melamine-coated half-inch plywood, so it's super strong.
  • The entire deck slides over the factory frame, and re-uses a modified version of the Shaq XL sub-frame to provide full support from below. I also re-used the factory "shelf" with some adjustments (used spacers to make it higher, and moved the mounting poins out to the sides to allow more room for controls and wiring).
  • There's a piano hinge on the back that allows the deck to open so the joystick and button wiring can be accessed. There's also a wireless keyboard in case the PC needs to be controlled.
  • The top features an acrylic panel that was a bugger to measure and cut, but I finally got a version that's about 1/16-1/32" accurate in every dimension. It also attaches to the deck with 4 bolts, just like the Arcade1Up versions (though it's not strictly necessary, because unlike A1U plexi, I put the panel under the button surrounds like real arcades would do).
Art ($300):
  • I contacted several graphics vendors, but some never responded, and others didn't have any Shaq templates and didn't seem to want to get involved. But I'd used Escape Pod in the past with good results, and they had a Shaq template. They also had a Soul Calibur design they had used for a full-size cab. So, we collaborated, and they produced the custom art package that made this happen, including marquee with plexi, side panels, kick panel, and the entire control panel. They're great!
Monitor ($100), Mount + Bezel ($108):
  • Dell 20" 2007fpb 4:3 monitor came from eBay. It only has a DVI input for digital. Everything was de-cased, and the controls were screwed into the back. It's a great looking monitor!
  • Of course, Shaq comes with a crap 19" monitor, so the Dell is a definite upgrade, but not a 1:1 fit. So, I contacted Gus from Karv Design on Etsy, who had done work on my NeoGeo build, and he came through. He had never done a Shaq cab before, but I gave him the exact dimensions and he custom-built a monitor mount, and black acrylic bezel. I messed a few things, but his stuff was spot on! Can't recommend him highly enough!
Audio ($166):
  • Dayton Audio KAB-2150 2x150w Class D Amp ($30) and power supply ($35)
  • Visaton 3.3" speakers ($30) and grills ($11)
  • Powered subwoofer ($90)... this makes such a difference it's not even funny
  • I wanted a "stock" look with the audio and not get into making a custom panel, so I stuck with the same size speakers, but much better quality and power handling. The amplifier is admittedly overpowered for this project, but it had two, important features that were surprsingly hard to find: external controls AND a dedicated subwoofer output. This had both!
Controls ($86):
  • Industrias Lorenzo Eurostick (x2) ($34 total)
  • Happ Competition Pushbuttons (x16) ($34 total)
  • Easyget (Dragonrise) Zero Delay Encoders ($18)
  • I went through probably dozens of combinations of buttons and switches and ended up with something that has a shorter through and minimal click. I wanted a fast response. For the joysticks, I never considered anything other than ILs.
Games ($162):
  • I started with a Raspberry Pi 5, which WAS capable of running Soul Calibur I and II, but it was finnicky. The controllers would randomly disconnect, AND it has a stupid design that lacks an audio out, so I had to pickup an HDMI audio/video splitter that ended up not outputting the video signal accurately and decreased the audio out level significantly. It also added several extra wires. The Pi setup was a total PITA that cost me nearly $200 with everything it needed (board, case, cables, splitter, power supply, etc.).
  • SO... when DIY Retro Arcade started offering the pre-built Core i5 computer with "no junk" Batocera 38 build ($162), I jumped. And boy, was it worth it! The i5 is so much more capable, not to mention STABLE, and getting rid of the HDMI splitter reduced cable clutter AND improved the audio quality significantly! The Batocera build is really good, too! No junk, and lots of good stuff (yes, every Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, KI, NeoGeo, and other fighting game). This really makes the system.
Special ($152):
  • Faux Coin Door from Arcade1Up ($20)
  • Coin Door Lights from RETRO 530 ($21)
  • Isobar Surge Protector w/ Switch ($105)
  • Control Panel Hinge ($22)
  • LED Strip Light ($6)
Other Materials ($418+):
  • PVC Edge Banding ($20)
  • Melamine Edge Banding ($20)
  • Hand Roller ($9)
  • Side Edge Trimmer ($33)
  • Flush Cut Trimmers ($18)
  • Super 77 Adhesive ($12)
  • Planar Knives ($16)
  • Weatherstripping ($7)
  • L-Brackets ($12)
  • DP to DVI Cable ($12)
  • 12v Power Supply ($9)
  • Various bits, blades, screws, and tools (picked up here and there)... oh, and WOOD! Experimented with lots of MDF, melamine, and acryclic ($250+).
  • And many, many things I ended up not using (t-molding, Pi 5, arcade-spec power supply, lots of buttons, etc.)
Tools (N/A):
  • Some of these tools I had on hand, some I inherited, some I bought. But I used a lot of different stuff... table saw, radial-arm saw, jigsaw, circular saw, drill press, heat gun, iron, hand roller, T-squares, speed square, hand drill, power sander, drill driver, various clamps, X-acto knives, squeegee, various screwdrivers, hammer, tape measures, shop-vac, etc.
TOTAL COST: $2,092 (excluding most tools and everything I bought that didn't get used, or that was thrown out, etc.)

Would it have to cost this much? No. I'm not a woodworker or craftsperson, but I am a perfectionist. So, the two things combined meant everything took longer and cost more than it probably should. But I also don't think you could legitimately do this build for anything less than a grand, unless you happen to have everything you need sitting around (including a PC and monitor) and can get cheap art, etc. All told, it probably cost me at least $2,500 if I include things that didn't make it into the final product.
So, wouldn't it be better to just buy the real thing? That isn't the point. This is "built not bought" kind of thing. I wanted to see what I could do. And I wanted to prove what an XL could be... I think this did both. And I've owned a real arcade machine... tt was heavy, huge, and finnicky. Not again. And either way, good luck finding an original Soul Calibur machine. They weren't made in large numbers.
Why not just build your own? I could, but that also wasn't the point. Building from scratch is a whole other endeavor, whereas using an Arcade1Up means it "inherently" has Arcade1Up-style dimensions and will fit in with my other cabinets. I also just wanted to do something in the XL size.
Why Soul Calibur? It's a legit awesome game. It has a Metacritic score of 98, making it one of the highest scoring games of all time across all platforms and consoles. And it's easy for anyone to start playing. I have lots of fond memories playing on the Dreamcast, but with its very limited arcade exposure, there's less-than-zero chance Arcade1Up will ever make the game.
Why use the Dreamcast version instead of the arcade game? Surprisingly, Soul Calibur originally ran on Namco System 12 hardware, which was an upgrade of the Namco System 11 hardware that itself was based loosely on the original Playstation 1 hardware design. That meant the arcade version of Soul Calibur was actually worse than the Dreamcast version of the game that followed a year later. The Dreamcast version added better visuals and 3D backgrounds, along with a whole bunch of extra features. This was reported to be the first time a console game performed better than the arcade version upon which it was based.
Would you do it again? No, and also no. I proved it was possible and built the game I wanted in the way I wanted. And it plays great and looks cool. But it cost too much time and money. I learned a lot, and that was invaluable, so I recommend it on that level. Practically speaking, however, there's really no justification to do something like this again unless the market just completely fails to produce the products we want.
Anyway, thanks to anyone who made it this far. I have a lot more pics and some video, and am happy to answer any questions. I also want to thank all of the vendors who helped make this happen, as well as the kind words from PDubs and other supporters along the way.
So, now it's your turn, Arcade1Up... bring us the XLs!

From Shaq to the Legend That Will Never Die!

Yes, that's actually a light under the control deck illumuninating downward.

The edge banding on the control panel mirrors the factory A1U edge banding.

Yes, the entire control panel lifts up to access the controls!

The top panel has audio controls, lighting control, and a master power switch.

Behind the marquee is a powerful amp, upgraded speakers, and full tone controls.

Yep, those are Happ ILs (and that's a piano hinge across the back).

The full back section, complete with acoustic stuffing up top and a subwoofer down below. That's a custom shelf for the PC, too.

A look inside showing inside the control panel from the back.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!

2024.05.29 05:39 racoonfrenzy Guests stole from our arcade will aircover reinburse us?

We run a campground with 3 cabins and have an on-site arcade. We have had this problem before where a kid will bend open our change vending machine and take all the quarters out. We installed a camera (Yes we asked airbnb first, its a standalone arcade building seperate from the listings) and this memorial weekend we had a one of the guests turn the camera up so we couldnt see and proceed to bend the machine open and take all of the cash/quarters. Now I'm not 100% sure it was a guest but they are the only ones with the access code to the arcade. Without proof it was a guest is there any point in reaching out to airbnb for aircover? I've sense installed big locks seen in the photo before bending the for back to its original shape. They made off with about $150 which sucks, Im just happy they didnt break the machine which is $700~

2024.05.29 05:38 EarlyZoomer SSL Issue?

I was given a domain by a dear friend of mine for my Graphic Design business about 7 months ago. I have no idea how to use it and it is very basic to say the least. I’m not expecting anything insane to come from it as I don’t know how to code but I would at least like to be able to upload new pictures and posts on it at some point instead of just having a logo and phone number. I already have an https address and it is insisting that there is an SSL issue and the server is not secure. I am not getting straight answers from Google and I honestly have no idea what much of this means. I would like my business to expand but I feel like my bare website is holding me back.

2024.05.29 05:37 Les_Habitants912 Questions Before Transitioning to Passkeys

Hi everyone,
I have been looking into implementing passkeys for my Google and Bitwarden account. I very rarely use my laptop unless I need to use spreadsheets or am planning on doing some significant multitasking, almost all my day to day tasks are done on my android.
I understand the basic concept of a passkey and it is very enticing to make the switch. I want to set up passkeys on my Google account and store the passkeys to Google password manager. Since brute force attacks wouldn't work on these I would feel comfortable using Google's password manager rather than Bitwarden for my Google and Bitwarden passkeys.
Now my only concern, and maybe I'm just not understanding how this works, is losing my phone or it being destroyed (I have broken a few phones in the past due to negligence). If I need to log into Bitwarden or Google but don't have my phone, do I just log in with my password + 2FA? I hear Google will get rid of passwords all together at some point and it appears Microsoft already has this option, what would I do in this case?
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but passkeys are new to me and I don't want to risk being locked out of my accounts for a bit of convenience over using a password manager.
Thank is advance for everyone's help.
P.S. I know I m posting in a Bitwarden sub, but I figured this would be the best community to get honest and experienced feedback.

2024.05.29 05:36 Darkened12 Crazy gut feeling cash out.

Crazy gut feeling cash out.
Placed this randomly; no research or anything I just picked the games I liked to go under today. Parlay was absolutely blazing the whole way, both teams I picked spread were up in the 1st, not a whole lot of scoring in any games. White Sox v Jays is the last game, jays get up 3 but I’m still feeling alright. At this point I had decided I would roll with the parlay until the white Sox loaded the bases up in the 6th. I almost cashed for $100, said fuck it… and they got out of it. Andddd then I felt like I should’ve taken it anyway, and I got a solid offer for 500. Happy with how this one turned out.

2024.05.29 05:36 mister_drgn State monad made my function longer

As I am learning Haskell, I decided to try taking an existing function I had made and modifying it to use the State monad. I won't go into a lot of detail, but basically it's traversing an s-expression graph and adding each sub-expression to a new representation, called a Case. When it adds a sub-expression, it checks whether that sub-expression has already been added, and if it has, it doesn't bother trying to add it again. In my old code, I can use a guard to do that check. In the new code, there's no way to use a guard (I think) because the Case is the state, and thus it is not directly available until I grab it with get. I have to do that twice, since my function is matching over two patterns, and thus the version of the code using the State monad and without guards is considerably longer than the old version.
I'm including the two versions below for reference. I guess my question is--am I missing anything? Is there some trick that would allow me to make my check just once in the State monad version of the function? Obviously, I could take the four lines of code that are being used twice and write a function, so that there's only 1-2 lines of code, but I'm curious if there's a more elegant solution. Thanks for the help.
Old Version (here, parseIt simply returns the Case, i.e., the state...this is simple enough, but it leads to some awkwardness on the last line of the function):
parseExpression :: String -> Case -> Case parseExpression str original_rep = (`parseIt` original_rep) $ S.parseExpression str where parseIt sexp rep hasForm sexp.form rep = rep parseIt S.SEntity{S.term=term} rep = let expr = Expr{etype = Entity, term, form = term} in addExpr expr [] rep parseIt S.SExpression{S.term=term,S.form=form,S.children=myChildren} rep = let expr = Expr{etype = Relation, term, form} newRep = foldr parseIt rep myChildren in addExpr expr (map ((`findForm` newRep) . S.form) myChildren) newRep
New Version (with State monad...this allows me to use mapM at one point, which I think is pretty cool, but it adds lines of code because the guard is no longer possible):
parseExpressionM :: String -> Case -> Case parseExpressionM str = execState (parseIt $ S.parseExpression str) where parseIt :: S.SExpr -> State Case Expr parseIt S.SEntity{S.term=term} = do rep <- get if hasForm term rep then return (findForm term rep) else do let expr = Expr{etype = Entity, term, form = term} addExprM expr [] parseIt S.SExpression{S.term=term,S.form=form,S.children=children} = do rep <- get if hasForm form rep then return (findForm term rep) else do let expr = Expr{etype = Relation, term, form} newChildren <- mapM parseIt children addExprM expr newChildren

2024.05.29 05:35 leaningagainsthemast [SUCCESS STORY] This one is quite unusual. Had me stumped too! 🦋

This is the story of a friend, who confided in me but I'm sharing this with you to illustrate a very important point. Something that not many people will tell you.
So read it till the end.
✨️✨️✨️
This story, which is a 100% true as with evwrything else I've ever written on here, illustrates how The Law exhausts the easiest, least resistant way possible to realize your dreams.
And how, sometimes, that's not something good.
✨️✨️✨️
It all started with a need. A burning need for money. My friend owed some people a lot of money. She never told me before or I would have helped her get out of this pickle far earlier.
But, as usual, she remained unassuming and secretive. Until just yesterday, she showed me the list of creditors, which had more than a dozen names written on it. 😱
Crazy.
I know she's always been impulsive but to do this? I didn't judge her but I was disappointed, ngl, that she never told me what was happening behind the scenes. 😔
Well, she told me this yesterday morning and the following afternoon, while taking a nap, I imagined her telling me over text that she got the money she needed. 🥳
I repeated it a few times. It was hazy as I was VERY VERY sleepy. But as usual, I looped it until I fell asleep.
💤 The nap itself was only 10 mins long.
That was it, really.
🪄✨️ And I did get the text by the evening so I was relieved. But today, she told me the whole truth.
She had stolen the money from her dad, who had very UNEXPECTEDLY came into a big amount of cash! 😱
He brough that cash home yesterday evening and she stole it!
🤔 And the funny thing? The dad doesn't even seem to remember that he ever brought that money in thw first place.
HE DOESN'T EVEN REMEMBER IT, YOU GUYSSS!!!
It seems to have been erased from his mind.
He has no recollectiom of it. But of course, she feels guilty to her very core. That's why she told me this in the first place.
She's my best friend, and we are quite frank with each other, tbh. My heart went out to her when she said to me,
"I am in an emergency or I would never have done this. I'll pay my parents back double this amount. This is just a loan!" 😔
And I trust her. I know that she will.
✨️✨️✨️
But I also understan why this happened.
She only recently confessed to me that she has a habit of steaking stuff. Money, usually. 🫥
Not a big amount. A couple dollars here and there. And mostly she steals it from her dad, she said. She's in college. Doing post grad.
She mentioned her dad knows she takes a couple dollars sometimes without him knowing and he doesn't mind. I dunno how that works though. 🤷🏻‍♀️
🌸 When she revealed this piece of information, that's when it hit me!
Look, she isn't earning right now. She has no personal savings. Not of such a big amount. Neither does she have that many friends or wealthy ass relatives lmao 😂
So, the FIRST possible way for her to get the money, according to me, was for her to do what she's always been doing, as she confessed.
Steal money from her dad.
And her dad getting into that amount of money was also the path of least resistance in her case!
So that's why he got the money in the first place. Otherwise why would he?? Their family is barely making ends meet afterall! And they have a humble little shop in the suburbs.
🤔 But now, you'll ask, DOES THIS MEAN THERE WAS NO OTHER WAYY FOR THE LAW TO MANIFEST THE MONEY??
Well, here's where I want to build on my previous post!
🪄 Of course there was a way other than thia. There could have been COUNTLES number of ways this could have been manifested. DUH 🙄
But for that to happen, she'd have to resist her urge to steal. If she hadn't stolen the money, then after a couple of days, another opportunity would have risen!
I am 100000% sure of it!
But since it was easier for her to resort to unethical means, second nature even, then thay's what ended up happening!
✨️✨️✨️
And since I wasn't aware of this habit of hers, it wasn't my belief either, before any of you pounce on me like hungry kittens lmao 😂
✨️✨️✨️
Well, there you go. I wanted to share this story with you to illustrate one VERY IMPORTANT POINT -
Never lie or cheat or steal. Not even as a joke. Try to stay away from any of these things. Because these open pathways for you, that might get you your styff easily in the beginning but, when it'll truly matter, you won't be able to resist your urge.
Like my friend couldn't.
But that doesn't mean you can't tell little white lies when it's necessary or something.
I'm talking about EXTREMES here, you people!
✨️✨️✨️
I hope this story helps clear some questions for you, questions you didn't even kmow you had.
Until next time,

2024.05.29 05:33 skyeyemx Windows 11 has the best Start menu.

They finally made Start into what it should’ve been — a box that holds your apps. No fluff. No features I don’t want. You open the box, and your apps are inside. Along with a small list of files you last opened. That’s it.
No useless ugly box shapes wasting screen real estate (Windows 10). No giant start screen that ruins your visual flow (Windows 8). No useless feature bloat crammed into one tiny menu with a uselessly slow search function that indexes through the entire disk (Windows 7). No dozens of grouped-up folder buttons that statistically, most people never touched (Windows XP).
It’s just a box. That holds your apps.
And to further express my point: nearly every single other OS has moved to this exact same design convention already
It’s good that Microsoft finally did the same. Have a look at macOS’ Launchpad, GNOME’s Apps menu, and Android’s app drawer. Guess what! They’re the exact same thing: a simple box that hold your apps. All of Start’s other functions have been moved to a second button: the Search button, which functions identically to macOS’ Spotlight search, GNOME’s search menu, and Android and iOS.
Everyone complaining about the Windows 11 Start menu is just nitpicking. It’s great, does the exact thing it’s meant to so, and removes the feature bloat that older Start versions had.

2024.05.29 05:33 relaxbro14 Home Insurance Claim Question; Ordinance or Law Coverage

Long story short, a wind storm removed a handful of sections of tin roof allowing rain to leak into my house, which has ruined my dining room and belongings. For back story, it appears as if the dining room was an addition to the original blueprint of the house at some point long before I bought it.
When the contractors were gutting the room, they came across a litany of things not up to current code. A third party engineer came out and inspected it, giving a detailed list of things not up to code/require further inspection.
Direct list of things from the engineer’s report “We observed the following: -The addition framing does not match typical IRC framing methods. Permit research of the property did not show any permits for this type of work. -No hurricane ties are present at the roof rafter bearing. -The exterior wood studs are not continuous to the sill plate and the sill plate is stacked with gaps and offsets. Improper load path at wall framing. -The sill plates are not mechanically fastened to the foundation walls. Additionally, they do not match typical IRC detailing. -The floor joists rest directly on soil. The joists and sheathing are rotting from the top down. -The joists are not mechanically fastened to the foundation wall. -The foundation walls are ungrouted -The following architectural/MEP items were noted: -No apparent vapor barrier below the joists -Not adequate crawl space depth, per IRC code -No crawl space venting, appeared to be damp conditions below floor system -Floor and wall finishes appeared compromised due to the inability of proper air flow. -Unclear how the roof would be vented – if unvented, improper insulation techniques utilized -The roof slopes and roof intersections between them, as well as at the chimney, present inadequate water paths for drainage -Juncture of asphalt roofing to metal roofing is missing a high/low transition strip, therefore relying on adhesive sealants – prone to failure”
I have Law and ordinance (code upgrades) in my policy up to $40K, but my adjuster stated that they won’t cover any of the upgrades to things such as the improper foundation or framing since “they were not directly damaged from the peril” and instead currently plan on just covering the costs of redoing the drywall, flooring, and subfloor.
Perhaps I’m mistaken, but isn’t this exactly what code upgrades are for? If not in this specific instance, then when exactly are they used? I’m genuinely curious, because section 3 below makes me feel as if I’m entitled to utilize that portion of the policy given that I pay for it. The following text is directly from my insurance policy, specifically the law and ordinance subsection.
“Ordinance Or Law Coverage- If a loss by a PERIL WE INSURE AGAINST occurs to covered property, or the building containing the covered property, "we" will pay for the increased costs incurred due to the enforcement of any ordinance or law that is in force at the time of the loss. The maximum amount "we" will pay in any one loss is the amount shown on the "Declarations.” Payment is in addition to the amount of insurance applying to the loss.
"You" may use this coverage for: 1. the construction, demolition, renovation or repair of the portion of the building damaged by a PERIL WE INSURE AGAINST; 2. the demolition and reconstruction of the undamaged portion of the building if the entire building must be demolished because of damage by a PERIL WE INSURE AGAINST: 3. the removal or replacement of the undamaged portion of the building because of the repair or replacement of the portion of the building damaged by a PERIL WE INSURE AGAINST; 4. or the removal of debris resulting from the construction, demolition, renovation, repair or replacement of Item 1. 2. or 3.
Ordinance Or Law Coverage does not include coverage for: -loss in value to any covered building due to the requirements of any ordinance or law; or -the cost to comply with any ordinance or law requiring the testing, monitoring, cleaning up, removing, containing, treating, detoxifying, neutralizing, responding to or assessing the effects of any solid, liquid, gaseous or thermal irritant, pollutant or contaminant in or on any covered building.”
Will somebody please help me break down exactly what that all means? Am I just being strong armed by my adjuster in order to keep the total claim amount low, or am I truly the one that has to foot the bill on those things?
Thank you in advance, kind experts of the Redditverse <3

2024.05.29 05:32 therealjgreens Fire panel goes off nightly at my apartment. Need some advice.

Hi there. I've been living in my apartment for over a year now. Just like any complex, they sell the idea of living there to you but it's up to the tenant to ask the right questions. It's a decently nice place.
I live on the end of one of the sides of the building. There is a fire panel attached to the wall outsid of my apartment door. I don't know the exact number of times, but it has woken me up 60+ nights in the middle of the night.
It wasn't a big deal at first, but the panel kept tripping and going off all the time. During the day and at night. They told me the panel goes off when someone pulls batteries out of their detector or turns it off.
I explained to them what was happening and they promised they'd fix it, but they didn't. It's still an ongoing issue that I deal with daily. I had to wake up at 4am to disarm the alarm because it was going off. They gave me the silence code which seems really sketchy. Like what happens if there is actually a fire?
Several months ago, a new ownership company purchased the property. It took a bit of time for them to adjust but it's business as usual at this point.
Guess what? The alarm continues to go off all the time despite me now taking to the new management folks. I just silenced the alarm because I was about to go to sleep and I heard it ringing.
I simply need advice for handling this situation? My consistent complaining has got me no where. I've talked to other tenants and it appears that several folks have issues with the overall quality of the place. I need them to fix this panel completely because I can't afford to lose any more sleep. Since talkong to management has gotten me nowhere, should I try and contact the ownership group?

2024.05.29 05:30 optionicity My dilution thoughts: None this year.

My dilution thoughts: None this year.
Here's IMHO WAG as to why there will be no dilution in the near term. First, we know exactly how much cash they have and what their burn rate is.
What don't we know? We don't know how much is going into Dunkirk to get it online, and we don't know their sales numbers or how fast those sales can ramp.
So if you graph out just what we know, IBRX will still have nearly 200M end of year. Even with little revenue and they could spend 100M on facility build out, marketing, etc. and still have 100M in the bank.
PSS has historically waited until the company was within 60 days of running out of cash before seeking financing (often out of his own pocket). There are also so many catalysts on the horizon it wouldn't make sense to dilute at this price.
I don't see it happening this year. Perhaps never. Perhaps over 15/share in which case it wouldn't matter to investors.
I could be wrong.

2024.05.29 05:29 Similar-Welder6516 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 3.0 Duramax 113 miles until derate

I have owned this truck for the past 2.5 years, minor issues, nothing mechanical. She has 67,276 right now.
Just this past week, for the first time towing in this truck, my family and I hauled a 6k lbs camper from Virginia to Yellowstone. It made it all the way to Yellowstone with no issues.
The day we arrived at Yellowstone, I received my first warning, "service emission system: 175 miles until 65 mph max speed". It would fluctuate off and on, and the check engine would be on, but no warning. Then the warning would populate once more, starting over at the 175 miles. In the past four days, it lowered to 171 miles, but I couldn't tell you how many times it had tripped in those days. I was also clearing the code daily. Once or twice, it cleared itself, no check engine light. I chocked this all up to elevation. I also received my first notification that my truck was doing a regen, it stated "keep driving, cleaning exhaust" or something of the sort. I feel like she's been trying to regen, and it hasn't been successful.
This is where the problem begins. We were towing back home, across Wyoming, and things were going as normal, as far as the past four days were concerned. Yet, finally, the derate countdown didn't reset. I'm currently sitting at 113 miles until 65 mph limit, with days left to travel. I'm at the point where I can no longer clear the code, and the derate warning takes up my dash.
The codes are-
P2382: Exhasut Gas Recirculation Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (this was first, and only code until today)
And the second code, which appeared for the first time today is-
P22A1: NOx Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2.
Has anybody experienced anything similar? Any fix to get me home? I also ran bio diesel in Chicago, for the first time, for one tank, but have had about ten tanks since. Just trying to list all the new variables this truck has experienced.
My fan is also kicked into overdrive during the duration of the warning being present, which is constant right now.
Edit: also unhooked battery for a while.

2024.05.29 05:29 Matewan1998 Does anyone else think that Melfi's ex actually fucking rocks in the earlier seasons?

When he blames her for her own rape he immediately outs himself as a scumbag but it's interesting to me how fans of the show seem to view him as a complete pesudo-intellectual douchebag in general based on his opinions.
Your first time watching the show you're probably very caught up in the excitement of Tony's life and see Richard's rant as kind of pretentious, but on retrospective viewings its hard to avoid how right he is.
He's 100% correct about Tony, Melfi should not be enabling a violent sociopathic criminal who often admits to her that he committed felonies within hours of their therapy sessions. His view of how Italians are perceived with regard to the mafia is pretty spot on, being associated with a violent criminal subculture with thousands of members rather than millions of decent human beings who happen to come from Italy is a genuine gripe to have with American society.
In the early seasons he also demonstrates the qualities of a really decent man, he maintains a healthier and more friendly relationship with his ex-wife than most of the mob guys do with their current wives, in large part because he's concerned with how his son will turn out. Despite the obvious tensions he manages to maintain a kind and magnanimous dynamic with the mother of his kid and her family to the point that they can all come together and enjoy each others company at dinner. Their debates about Italian-American culture, while they likely make tempers rise, are exponentially better than what Tony and his family talk about.
While Melfi's criticisms of some of his psychological hangups may be valid, his worldview is exponentially more realistic and valid than hers (again, in the early seasons) in the beginning, as much as Melfi and Richard argue, it's almost so much more civilized and intellectual than any of Tony and Carmela's rows.
His later shittiness notwithstanding for most of the show Richard is a genuinely great guy who may be a bit of a pretentious loudmouth but is otherwise a really decent human being on a whole nother level than any of the mafia guys the show depicts

2024.05.29 05:29 michellellamas Should I help my fiance financially even though my finances have been affected because of him

I (31 F) and my fiance (30 M) have been together for 11 years out of which we been living together for 9.5 years. For most of our relationship he has been the one making the most money and there were long periods of times where I was without a job and he supported us. I always showed my love and support by doing most of the house chores and attending to his needs to the point of even getting up at 5 am to make him breakfast and iron his shirts. And whenever I had any money I always gave it to him for bills. When I finally got a stable minimum wage job we started dividing the house bills but I kept doing most of the house chores. I would always save up as much as I could and he would always ask me to borrow the money for some stock or crypto coin he wanted to invest in. Most of the time all of that money was gone by the end of the month and he always got into debt trying to flip some money around dreaming of becoming rich with a click. For some reason he was always able to make money for his friends (one of his friends was able to buy a house thanks to him) but he just seemed to fail at making us money. That was until 2019, apparently in 2019 he was able to flip some crypto and had over 300,000 usd worth on crypto coins. He only had access to this coins on the only computer we owned. In 2020 I was talking some coding courses because I am sick and tired of working minimum wage jobs, but unfortunately I needed a computer as clases were all virtual so I had to use the only computer we owned. One of the courses required me to use a system that was not compatible with the computer system we had so I tried to update it and the computer crashed. We lost everything we had in the computer including the 300k.
After this incident I felt so guilty and I wanted to pay it back although I know on my minimum wage job I’ll never be able to. So my fiance had the great idea to create his own crypto project. To be honest I never believed in it but he was so pushy and guilt trip me into it so I ended up taking a 25k loan believing he would be able to repay it back as he swore and promised he knew what he was doing and he was gonna make us back that money and then some. I agreed and had no idea that he himself had also gotten himself on a 30k+ debt for this project.
So the project never worked out, some people invested but it was not even enough to pay promoters. For the past 3 years all of our money is been going to debts and we barely made an indent in it as the majority of the money goes to interest. I worked 2 jobs for 6 months and was only able to pay 1k of my debt. Had to quit one job because I was starting to get sick.
This year I had enough and I filed for consumer proposal. It’s only been a month and I already have 700 saved up. I feel such relief and I’m planning on getting a security license as the IT sector is overtaken by Indians and is a job in demand. My fiance also wants to do it but he wants me to pay for his as hi still has all the debt he got himself into and barely has any money for bills. Every time we have money disagreements he blames them on me as I was the one who broke the computer and he claims if he would of still had that money he would never had started the project (the project was his new idea of becoming rich ).
So now I just feel like I have gone through enough hardship for the 300k I “lost” him and I should only be responsible for paying half of the house bills. But at the same time I do love my fiance and feel the obligation to help him financially.
