• [EARNINGS] DITO FY23 net loss: ₱8.1-B (30% improvement)... DITO CME [DITO 2.38 ▲7.7%; 602% avgVol] [https://edge.pse.com.ph/openDiscViewer.do?edge_no=27c2e753d00394fcabca0fa0c5b4e4d0] posted a FY23 net loss attributable of ₱8.1 billion, which is a 30% improvement over its FY22 net loss attributable of ₱13.8 billion. Revenues were up 54% to ₱11.2 billion, with the dominant contribution coming from DITO’s main subsidiary, Dito Telecommunity. DITO’s average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) was ₱128, which is a 54% increase from the ₱83/usemonth it generated in revenue in FY22. DITO’s subscriber count stood at 9 million at the end of 2023, which was down 40% from the 15 million subscribers that it reported at the end of 2022. DITO booked ₱5 billion in forex gains on its massive debts denominated in US Dollars and Chinese Yuan. DITO said that it will attempt to raise funds through a follow-on offering in the first half of 2024 with the proceeds going toward “the Group’s telecommunications and digital businesses funding requirements.
  
  • MB: What’s there to say about DITO that hasn’t already been said? They’re seemingly building out their network as per the conditions of their franchise, and from a technical perspective, the network they’ve built (so far) seems to be performing very well. Yes, they got to book a ₱5 billion gain as the forex winds blew in the right direction, but that’s only a 70% recovery of the ₱7.2 billion it lost on its forex debt the year before, and the FY24 forex winds do not appear to be blowing in DITO’s favor. Yes, they have a higher ARPU, but how do we analyze that against their subscriber base that mysteriously lost 6 million subscribers over the past year? Yes, they’re planning to raise some money in a follow-on offering in the next couple of months, but with rates not going anywhere, most analysts are not optimistic about the PSE’s near-term prospects so they might be selling into a weak market. DITO’s stock is up 15% off of its all-time post-Dito Tel infusion low that it set last week, but it’s still down 12% year-to-date and down 35% from its October 2023 intra-year high of ₱3.69/share.
• [UPDATE] Union Bank sets SRO entitlement ratio at 0.11:1... Union Bank [UBP 39.80 ▲3.4%; 77% avgVol] [https://edge.pse.com.ph/openDiscViewer.do?edge_no=452f011bc1971602abca0fa0c5b4e4d0] set the price of its stock rights offering (SRO) at ₱30.57/share, and set the entitlement ratio at 1 rights share for every 9.1382 UBP shares owned, or (roughly) 0.11 new shares for every existing share. UBP plans to sell 327,118,089 UBP shares through this offering to raise ₱10 billion.
  
  • MB: That price is way below the ₱33.73 to ₱38.23 range that UBP provided last week. The market price of UBP’s shares has fallen considerably since mid-April’s ₱45/share level when this plan was being put together. That really appears to have dragged the resulting SRO price down when the price formula was applied, which calls for a 25% discount from the 15-day volume weighted average price prior to May 2. It just so happened that UBP hit a three-year low on April 30th on heavy volume, so there you go.
• [NEWS] ABS-CBN reveals Leandro Leviste as 2nd largest shareholder... ABS-CBN [ABS 5.10 ▲18.1%; 79% avgVol] [https://edge.pse.com.ph/openDiscViewer.do?edge_no=ad7e60c637e79857abca0fa0c5b4e4d0] disclosed that LL Holdings (LLH), a subsidiary of Leandro Leviste’s private holdco, Countryside Investments Holdings Corp, acquired 76,500,000 shares of ABS equivalent to a 8.5% stake in the former broadcasting giant. Mr. Leviste, who is the son of Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda, released a statement saying, “I hope there may now be a way for us to be of help, for the benefit of ABS-CBN’s shareholders and employees, and the media industry of the Philippines.” Ms. Legarda was a news anchor with ABS for 12 years, and recently abstained from the vote on ABS’s franchise renewal in 2020 due to what she called a “conflict of interest.” Shares of ABS rose 18% in yesterday’s trading session.
  
  • MB: I didn’t see any reports claiming that these shares were primary from ABS, so (to the best of my knowledge) this stake doesn’t give ABS shareholders any new capital to work with. Still, investors seemed to like the development and Mr. Leviste’s vague call to action. The truth is that ABS is running out of “outs”, and it’s basically at the point of having to negotiate with lenders to avoid bankruptcy while it sells off assets to meet obligations. Compared to those problems, having a new shareholder with an 8.5% stake doesn’t really sound like much help. Unless, of course, that new shareholder is really just the point on a political wedge that has greater plans for ABS that could have a direct impact on its topline. The topline is the only thing that can save ABS at this point.
• [UPDATE] Steniel falls 30% in second day of trading... Steniel Manufacturing [STN 0.89 ▼29.9%; 71% avgVol] [https://www.investagrams.com/Stock/PSE:STN] dropped 30% in its second day of trading. STN opened the trading day flat, but soon started a consistent downward trend that would drag on STN’s price the whole session. Trading volume was relatively high at 9.1 million shares (~60% of Thursday’s 14.7 million) through 586 trades. The daily loss was the maximum allowable by application of the PSE’s trading band for the day.
  
  • MB: This clown show is nowhere near finished, but the fact that STN bounced lightly off the floor twice over the final two hours of the session tells me that there’s still a lot of downside left in this stock to wring out before we get any kind of stability. The most recent “no band” trade that we’ve had, LFM Properties [LPC 0.06 unch; 0% avgVol] took five straight trading sessions to shed 40% of its value. Will STN follow a similar path? Hard to say, but the time it spent on the floor says that we’ll probably see at least one more day of red. The only thing all these “no band” stocks have in common is that over the long term, they retain only a fraction of their first-day trading gains. They’re a one-day game of musical chairs.

Finding Your Way in Appalachia: The Definitive Fallout 76 Quest Order Guide
Welcome fellow Vault Dwellers, this is a tweaked and added upon version of u/SuperPippo5111’s(https://www.reddit.com/useSuperPippo5111/) Finding Your Way in Appalachia: The Definitive Fallout 76 Quest Order Guide he made a while ago. I'm planning to update this guide when I can/feel like and, hopefully, eventually include every quest that's currently part of the game and added in future. Some general advice for new players:

• Whenever you enter an area it's possible that different repeatable events or daily challenges trigger. Feel free to do them if you like. They will give XP, loot, and usually points for the scoreboard.
• If you want to level up quicker try to increase your intelligence as much as possible (each point of intelligence gives +2.072% XP). Joining a casual team grants up to +4 intelligence. There's also a perk under charisma called "Inspirational" that can give you +15% XP at rank 3.
• Here you can plan your build and experiment with different card combinations. In this guide, I won't give you any premade build. You can experiment with your build in the beginning as it is possible to completely respec as soon as you reach level 20. There are many guides on Reddit and YT for builds if you're looking for one. I highly recommend AngryTurtle.
• If you level up, you can take perks from a different category than the stat you just upgraded (f. ex. I can upgrade my endurance but still take a perk from perception)
• If you dislike the Power Armor HUD, you can turn it off in the settings menu
• In the pause menu you can find daily and weekly challenges which grant points for your season pass level. Don't stress too much about those when you're just starting out and do them only if they don't require you to go out of your way too much. Later it will become easier to clear those challenges efficiently.
• If your screen gets too crowded with quests, then you can turn off the ones that are not important by going to the data tab in your pip-boy and unselecting the quests.

Disclaimer: This is just a recommended quest order for full immersion and is not focused on getting you to the endgame as fast as possible. Keep in mind that the optimal quest order in Fallout 76 can vary depending on the player's preferences and objectives. There is no one "correct" quest order, as some players prefer to complete the main storyline first, while others prefer to explore the world and complete side quests along the way. This is just my take on it. Also, you don't need to always stick with the quest order strictly. If you see an event on the map or other activities you'd like to participate in then by all means do whatever you like. You can always come back to the quests at a later stage.
Sometimes in notes I will mention that there is a unique gear tied to a quest, note that the level of the unique gear will vary with the current level of the player character at the time of quest completion. Because this is the only chance a unique gear can be obtained, it may be desirable to defer completing this quest until reaching level 50.
When you see an (S) or next to a quest this will mean that this quest is a side quest aka this doesn't need to be done right now it can be done whenever you feel like doing it as it shouldn't affect the main story in any way I have however put them in places I find as natural stopping points for these quests like when you’d naturally stumble upon them for example.

(A) - Ally quests Two allies, Sofia Daguerre and Beckett, offer unique questlines and an overarching story, at the end of which they can be romanced if one decides to pursue that option. This provides the player with a temporary XP boost, Lover's Embrace, upon sleeping in a bed with the romanced ally nearby. The other three allies (the raider punk, settler forager, and settler wanderer) only offer radiant quests.
(D) - Daily quests, offer the same quest every from when you did it the last time, can offer unique rewards
(E) - Expeditions, Expeditions is a PvE game mode of repeatable missions in Fallout 76. The mode takes players to explore and travel outside of Appalachia, and encounter NPCs and enemies along the way.
(R) - Repeatable Quests, These quests can be played as frequently as desired.
CHAPTER 1: THE FOREST

   You will very likely not have enough Black Titanium and Nuclear Material. Black Titanium can be obtained by scrapping Miner Suit Scrap dropped by Mole Miners, and Nuclear Material by scraping the red Volatile Materials Boxes that are laying around in many locations around the Ash Heap. Here is a list of good locations for finding both: The Rusty Pick (Rooftop) Hornwright Air Purifier Site #01 Belching Betty The Burning Mine Mount Blair Trainyard Mount Blair Welch
   All those locations are marked on the map guide in yellow. You can also find a Power Armor Chassis in some of them if you still need one.
   If you don't feel like looking for materials, you can postpone this quest and complete it at a later stage as it is not necessary for advancing the main story.

  Tip: If you're unlucky you will get sent to Cranberry Bog in this quest as it's a random location. In that case, you can either decline and change the server to get a different location, fast travel nearby "Watoga Emergency Services" using someone's camp or finish the quest at a later stage.
  Info: Completing this quest unlocks Expeditions that are not necessarily meant to be completed at your current level so you can skip on those for now except if you really want to see the new locations I have suggested below a place/time where each expedition could make sense this is at stage 26 and 28 but these can really be done at any time. Despite the difficulty, there is no timer on those missions so you can take your time exploring.

  With Overseer, Overseen completed you will now have to side with either the settlers or raiders which will lock you out of rewards from the other side, make sure you want to walk the side you choose as there is no going back from this after reach a certain point, the lockout quests are called Siding with Foundation or Crater respectively
  It is suggested to do all possible faction quests without locking yourself out from the other route by passing Siding With... on either side to get yourself maximum rewards such as the Chinese stealth armor) with the settler's side of quests.
  It’s at this point that I suggest you leave this questline for now and continue the main story till the end after Event: Scorched Earth or at the very least till we get to Chapter 6 as in my mind you’d want to deal with the impending 2nd apocalypse before that could befall anyone at anytime than well anything else. At which point we will pick the quest line back up.

This allowed us to solve the issue of food, it also allowed us to improve the living conditions of our people. People were inspired, they sent their sons and daughters to our Army to fight the enemy. When the cooperatives established mutual exchange, money began to fall in value by itself. In 1974, the value of money fell by 80%. After that, we asked people what they thought about money now, and in rural areas they reacted positively to these changes. After people from the cities were evacuated, they were immediately accepted by cooperatives. All this allowed us to completely abandon monetary circulation. What will happen in the future? It depends on the people. If the people deem it necessary to return to the use of money, then this will be the case. If not, then no. It's not for nothing that I told you that we don't have a clear idea how we're going to move forward. It will all depend on the situation and on the revolutionary movement of the masses." History from all cultures and civilizations are full of leaders who were tyrants and genocidal maniacs. Just look at Genghis Kahn, Alexander, Chinese Emperors, the Sultans, etc. When we look at their history, it's no doubt that most leaders we romanticize in history today are genocidal conquerors. In all education systems around the world, we look at their ambitions in a neutral perspective where we unpolitically analyze BOTH their tyranny and contributions. However, any leader in modern times would inevitably become villainized if they tried to do this today.
Let's compare Hitler and Genghis Kahn. Genocide was in both of their interest to achieve their goal. Hitler wanted a master race, and Geng was disillusioned into believing he was chosen by God to rule the world by any means necessary. In short, both of them committed the worst atrocities we could imagine over ridiculous ambitions. If somebody today proclaimed themself as a "Genghis Kahn enthusiast", they would be laughed off as a meme. If someone did the same for Hitler, they would be rightfully shamed. It seems like when time passes and new tyrants take their spot in history, the older ones lose their badguy status. Will this mean that hundreds to thousands of years from now, Hitler will get the same treatment as well?
I had this convo with a friend and he believes Hitler won't be romanticized. To sum up his take, he believes that Hitlers agenda was so out-of-touch with reality and evil that it makes him incomparible with other leaders. He believes it's not the type of destruction that matters, but instead, the reason of why it happened that counts. Personally for me, I felt like that was a dumb take. The point for me is, they all at their best committed genocide and mass slaughter which is why I think it's so weird to power scale their "evilness". "More than ten separate clusters of archers patiently concealed within the ancient forest's depths," Ji Wuye muttered grimly, his eyes narrowing as his keen senses evaluated the precarious tactical situation.

Logically, he could firmly stand his ground, continuously circulating and reinforcing his Qi to defend against the relentless volley of projectile assaults raining down from all sides.

Yet his razor-honed instincts urged him that passively weathering the storm was not the path to true victory here - he must seek a more decisive outcome.

A feral smirk crossed his chiseled features as he rapidly assessed the remaining time on the elemental clock ticking down overhead, before channeling a surge of potent Qi into the corded muscles of his legs once more.

I came up with this essay topic after extensive brainstorming in the summer but I was hesitant to write it bc I still have very complicated feelings about my dad/our relationship, but hey college essays are all about self reflection and all that. I ended up actually writing the essay in mid Sept in 1 week bc I needed to submit a Common App essay for a school assignment. I then revised it for 2-3 weeks afterwards and my English teacher reviewed it and she said it was really solid.

• I was planning to shotgun and apply to a ton of schools (all EA) but I procrastinated and didn't start my supps until late September lol. The time constraint really helped me narrow down my choices bc I HATE writing supps and if I thought the prompt was too time consuming or annoying I would just move the school to RD and eventually I just didn't apply. This made me realize that I wasn't actually interested in attending any of those schools even though they were good for CS; I was just trying to shotgun prestigious schools bc that's what everyone with successful results seemed to do. I embraced the "go big or go home" mindset and I encourage other people to do so too (esp if you hate writing supps)! I concentrated on writing solid supps for the 4 schools that I actually wanted to attend, and I accepted that I’d go to Rutgers if I didn't get into my top choices.
