I am trying to find the xyz in a small indie game called Lay of the Land, I have tried all the usual steps, unknown initial, increase, decrease ECT. I have done it on both float and double. Most of the results I am getting are similar to 1.xxxxxxxxxxxx, with only a handful of numbers I would expect the pos to be. In any case if I adjust any of the 2000+ results by +2 my character never moves so I know I am just not finding the right one. Any other methods I could go about finding it?

This happened about two weeks ago.
For context, the houses in my (15F) neighborhood are placed in straight lines, so all of our yards are connected like one long strip of grass. The dog I shot lived 3 houses down from me and the one who was attacked lives right next to me. The further down neighbor got an XL bully type dog about 2 months ago, and the other dog was a puppy my neighbors had adopted a few weeks earlier. They also have two young kids and one other dog that’s also very small, both of them are about the size of an average cat. The puppy is very yappy because it hasn’t been trained yet. The owner of the big dog has an electric fence and lets it hang out off leash in the front/back yards, and whenever I walk by it starts barking like crazy and acting aggressive. I’ve seen dogs jump their electric fences so I keep an eye on their yard when I’m outside, especially when the neighbor’s kids or dogs are out. Also note my parents keep a shotgun propped against the wall next to the door that opens out into my back porch.
The day this happened I was sitting on my porch reading while the neighbor kids were playing with both their dogs outside. The XL owner let it out the back door and I didn’t pay much attention to it at first, but after it did its business, it started like jogging/quickly trotting in our direction. It walked straight through where the fence was supposed to be. It wasn’t acting crazy but this freaked me out so I opened the door to my parents’ room and sat back down with the shotgun in my lap. The kids were excited about the doggy and went to go pet it as it got closer but it walked right past them and went up to the new puppy, who was yapping quite a bit. It didn’t growl, stiffen, or show any sign of aggression, just lunged right for it and caught in its mouth. The puppy was so small that basically like 2/3 of its body was in this dog’s mouth. The kids screamed and ran inside and the dog just clenched its jaw onto the little one while it started making horrible loud whining. I was sitting still atp l but when I saw blood in the little dog’s fur I just got up and shot the XL through the head. It was only like five feet away from me and I think it died on the spot. It kind of collapsed with its jaw still around the puppy.
The kids’ parents, my older brother, and a few other concerned dads rushed out when they heard the gunshot. There was a lot of yelling and I tried to explain what happened while the kids’ mom grabbed the little dog and rushed off with it. The couple that owns the XL stepped outside and everyone started yelling at them to get over here, and when they did they looked more pissed than concerned. They demanded to know what happened and I explained properly. Both dog owners were mad as hell. The XL owners started cussing me out and asking why I would intervene in a “dog fight”. I didn’t reply and the kids’ dad told me to go inside and that he’d deal with it, so I did. I was pretty shaken up so I just went up to my room and put my headphones on. It was the first time I had fired a gun at a living thing. I don’t know what they were talking about but I could hear muffled yelling for like 10 minutes afterward.
Since then, the XL owner’s have found my facebook and been commenting on some of my posts calling me a dog killer and an animal abuser as well as some slurs for Mexican people (I’m brown but not Mexican). They are also sometimes on their front porch when I walk home from school and yell stuff like “Hi, cunt!” in a passive aggressive voice. I just ignore them completely. My neighbors are working on a police report and want to wait until they’ve got all of the medical bills they want to sue for so they and my parents can sue them at the same time (my parents want to sue for my emotional distress). My family and most of my neighbors have been telling me that I did the right thing since the puppy looks like it’ll make a full recovery, but I still feel like I should’ve done something else or avoided hurting the other dog at all.

1. you don’t need all the tools they require from you, for example, you won’t need a bunsen burner, take a torch your first stage just carving the tooth and knowing about its anatomy
2. you carved too deep into the tooth? lol no need to repeat. take your spoon like tool pick up your worn off wax and melt it using heat (either from your torch or from a candle you lit on your desk idk) pour the melted wax into the area and start over.
3. use the sharpest tool for most of your work, use round tools for making grooves, cervical lines, fossae…etc
4. use tiny tip sharp tools to make pits
5. no tooth is realistically anatomically accurate just follow your instructions/textbook
6. if like me you use wheelers anatomy 10th edition go to the end pages to see the teeth 3D
7. most dr’s don’t care about accuracy in measuring
8. carve on white colored wax for not just aesthetic reasons but also for the quality and visibility of shallow details, i learned that there is more chance for the prec. staff to grade your tooth higher if it’s on white wax
9. if you are bad at carving know that it doesn’t determine that you would be a bad dentist in the future most ppl are bad at carving because it requires skill
10. don’t get yourself on the bad side of the prec staff
11. WEAR HEADPHONE! listen to music during prec, don’t complain to the students around you and most importantly DONT let them complain to you. they will kill your time. 12 as you practice each tooth write down your best carving methods on mobile notes app because you will slowly change your steps as you learn from your mistakes the more you carve
12. if you were headphones DO NOT ADJUST IT WITH A TOOL IN YOUR HAND. god i almost poked my eye once with lacron
13. USE TISSUE: this is my best tip yet have tissue with your hands each step done polish immediately with tissue it makes your tooth look super clean and super smooth
14. use a toothbrush to brush off extra wax on occlusal surface of posterior teeth
15. if during exams your tooth broke don’t panic very gently work and try to mend using your torch and lacron
16. finally just be gentle and gentle enjoy the process don’t be anxious during carving even during exams i try to work slow and steady. take deep breaths and relax your mind, be gentle with your tools use your creative mind during carving. okay that’s it. these are my tips i hope it helps

SO MY QUESTION I’M I GETTING THE JOB OR NO??

Earlier today Reddit user u/apndrew posted this article claiming a study had found extensive bias against Israel and against Jewish perspectives across English-language Wikipedia. The article is based on a 20-page paper titled "The Bias Against Israel on Wikipedia", written by Dr. Shlomit Aharoni Lir for the World Jewish Congress.
My post started as a comment in that thread, but Reddit wouldn't let me post it (presumably because it's too long), so I'm going to put it here as a post and hope it doesn't get taken down.
First, a direct praise of the article: Nowhere in the paper does Dr. Lir equate anti-Israel bias with antisemitism. This is a good thing! The article OP links does, and OP seems happy to suggest these things are the same, but the actual paper does not, which is good since they aren't the same thing.
Nearly everything else I say will be negative.

1. This is kind of a nitpick, but when this paper links to Wikipedia articles, it links to the article itself, as opposed to linking to the specific revision the author is talking about. This is not helpful. It seems unlikely that any of these articles have remained unedited in the time between when this paper was written and now. This means any or all of the problems being discussed may not be present now, or might be much worse, and there's no way to find out without having to guess at when Dr. Lir was doing the research.
2. The last sentence on page 2 concerns me. "In a broader context, this is also a call to action for legislators, regulators, and users to notice bias and the subsequent ill effects created through a wide range of internet platforms beyond social media." Is this a demand for wikipedia to be censored or banned for not supporting Israel, or for not meeting Israeli demands in its coverage of the Israel-Hamas war? I don't know how else to interpret "a call to action for legislators and regulators".
3. On page 6, Dr. Lir references "the fact that Wikipedia is perceived as a reliable and objective source of knowledge", and I don't know how exactly Wikipedia could address that. The front page of the site says "anyone can edit", and the disclaimers page states in all caps at the top of the page that "Wikipedia makes no guarantee of validity". If some private company is being stupid (google using Wikipedia to answer questions instead of being a search engine, dumbasses feeding Wikipedia into generative AI, etc), they probably shouldn't do that, but it isn't the fault of Wikipedia.
4. This paper claims to be about English-language Wikipedia, but the only discussion under "Violation of the Principle of Neutrality" on page 9 is about Arabic Wikipedia, and it's only to do with them adding a Palestinian flag and pro-Palestinian message on their home page on the 12th of October last year. Should they have referenced October 7th when they did this? I'd say so. Is it a sign of English Wikipedia being biased? Not a bit.
5. The question of Holocaust accuracy and coverage is an important one, and not one I have much knowledge on, so I'm going to assume Dr. Lir is speaking accurately about this and if so, it's definitely a problem. She doesn't go into any specifics at all, other than that some articles "perpetuate and reinforce damaging stereotypes and misconceptions", which makes it difficult to get any insight as to what we're talking about.
6. At the bottom of page 10, we finally arrive at the start of the actual subject of the paper. Dr. Lir breaks down anti-Israel bias into 6 categories: Content Bias, Deletion Attacks and Deletion Attempts, Editing Restrictions, Selective Enforcement, Anti-Israeli Editors, and Biased Sources. "Editing Restrictions" refers to Dr. Lir's belief that making articles extended-protected is inherently biased against Israelis, and this is blatantly stupid so I'm not going to engage with it.
7. Our first "content analysis" is of the article "Palestinian genocide accusation". Dr. Lir's first claim is that this title is inherently biased and should say "Allegations of Palestinian Genocide". I'm going to be honest, I have no idea what she's getting at here. The claim that the article "focuses predominantly on accusations against Israel, while giving little space to Israel's perspective or to arguments against the genocide claims" seems odd to me, given that the article is about the accusation that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians. It seems expected that the article would focus on that subject.
   1. Despite Dr. Lir's claim that the article "is not anchored in a variety of sources", it cites over 350 of them, including 5 different articles from the Times of Israel and 7 from The Jerusalem Post. I don't know whether these were added later, but it seems unlikely. This is, however, another good reason to link to the specific version of the article you're upset with, since this one may have changed a lot in that time. "
   2. As a result [of the bias in sources], Israel is presented as the sole aggressor in the region, when it can be argued that the opposite is true." No it can't. No one could reasonably argue that Israel is never an aggressor in its region. It's far from the only aggressor, but there's no way one could define the repeated illegal settlements in the West Bank as anything but aggression, nor could the numerous documented cases of forced displacement and sexual violence.
   3. "The entry does not include facts that support Israel's position or challenge the accusations that it committed genocide." This is not correct, the article does have multiple sections on responses from American and Israeli critics of the accusations. Again, this is why you link to the specific version of the article. I almost suspect that Dr. Lir was aware of this kind of confusion, and is using it for plausible deniability if one of her claims is unfounded.

I could continue, but this post is way too long as it is. The paper brings up some points of interest when it's talking in a general sense, but everything falls apart when she starts trying to give examples. Her claims of bias nearly always either rely on a claim which isn't true in the article or come from a place of heavy pro-Israel bias.

My wife and I have gone through a bit a rough patch, but both of us are committed, honest, and are trying to rediscover the safety and security we had with one another when we fell in love. Finances, children, careers, life - has been stressful, so we’ve been doing therapy for about 2 years and have been communicating better than ever. There has been some ups and downs but we’ve been really honest with each other and are working through our issues. I’m thankful for that.
One of the issues is my insecurity and depression over us having a dead bedroom - but I’ve learned that her past and sexual history led to her not really having the same associations with sex that I do. I want our sex to be fun, playful, enjoyable, and loving. But to her, these are difficult concepts, because her relationship to sex began with trauma - followed by a ton of hookups in her 20’s as she was finding herself and living her life. I’ve learned, through therapy together - that she is really regretful of this time, and she has hangups over sex because of it. Again, we are working through this. We are a classic example of anxious (me) and avoiidant (her) attachment. She is finding ways to step out of her comfort zone and be more reassuring to me, and I’ve learned to not place all of the pressure on her to make me happy. I have to do that myself.
I have struggled a bit with retroactive jealousy, in that its hard for me to understand that she would so willingly have sex with other men, yet sex with me is so difficult. She thinks I want her to be a version of herself that has long vanished, and was young, confused, and lonely. But I don’t want that version of her. I just want both of us to feel safe. I want to connect with her on a higher level.
All of this is important context, I promise.
So her, as the avoidant attached person, needs my help to create spaces for her where she can be herself. Be social. Go out with her friends. She feels like so much of her is wrapped up in being a mom, wife, and having a career, that she needs this time to feel like herself, and connect with herself. So I’ve been really trying to help create these moments for her. And encourage her to do it.
So, here we are - she’s going to a concert next week. Great! With her best girlfriends. Great! A band she really loves. Great!
And I’ve found out she used to sleep with the lead singer.
Now, I know she wants a night out. I know she can just go enjoy herself. But my anxiety over this is spiking hard. I feel insecure comparing myself to him, his success, etc. I talked to her about how I was feeling, but made it clear that I wasn't judging her or holding her past against her. I don’t care that she slept with him (once, 15 years ago) but I do care that she is going to the show. Its not her past thats bothering me, its her choices in the present. I just can’t wrap my head around how to feel about this, and why she would want to go. She assured me that she is not trying to reconnect with him, isnt planning on reaching out to him - and would do nothing to jeopardize our life together. I want to believe her.
I have 2 choices - 1) try to work on the safety and security that we’ve worked hard to reclaim. Encourage her to have a good time, reinforce that I do trust her. And deal with my insecurities by myself. She explained to me that she’s not trying to re-live her past, that she’s had no contact with him since and isnt trying to again. She just wants to go to the show and fun night with her friends, enjoy the music, and that’s it. I can take her word for it and try to be the confident and reliable partner she wants me to be.
Or 2) I can ask her to not go, but I can’t deal with feeling like I’m being controlling or needy, both for her sake and mine. I don’t want to hold her back, but her going to this show and watching a (very successful, famous, and well known) musician do his thing.
I don’t want to undo any of the work we’ve done thus far. Because honestly, things have been really great for a couple months. We’ve been trending upward, feeling connected, and have started to be sexual with each other again. I don't want to have an argument over this and set us back. But I feel how I feel, and my jealousy around this whole thing is very real.

Hi everyone, recently, I have been using GPT-4 a lot to improve my level in SQL, more precisely in terms of querying an existent database, not in creating database from scratch or architecturing it.
Indeed, this gem is very good for generating exercises to push my limits and improve my querying level.
However, recently I haven't been able to find the perfect prompt to encourage GPT to provide me with exercises related to what I'm asking for.
It's mind blowing how he struggles to deliver exactly what I want and he seems to be missing the point.
What I want ChatGPT to do is give me an exercise every time I ask for it. This exercise should push me to use the different functions, clauses, joins, mathematical operations, that is to say everything that is possible to query using SQL. To put it simply, I must be able to provide a complete report, around a single theme, where each step or instruction leads naturally to a next one and this for each exercise with a completely different situation from the previous one.
Obviously, I don't want it to force me to use all the principles at the same time in a single query to answer the exercise. I prefer that he pushes me to use a few at the same time.
Here is examples of typical exercise that I would like to solve and which I thought about 30 minutes ago :
Example 1 :

1.Calculate the turnover of companies for each region. 2.Identify regions that generated over 2 million in revenue. 3.List the top-revenue-generating company within each region that generated over 2 million in revenue. 4.Highlight the highest revenue-generating sale for each of the top company by region that generated over 2 million in revenue. 

Example 2 :

Example 3 :
1.Return the unique IDs and addresses for all stores controlled by our video game company. 2. Return the quantity of each video game in stock for each store. 3. Calculate the actual stock for each video game based on the sales that occurred in each store. 4.Identify videogames with stocks below the safety stock (threshold). 5.Identify stores that have more than three items below the safety stock. 6.Identify stores that have between 3 and 5 items below the threshold as "Not a priority", between 6 and 9 items as "Priority", between 10 and 13 as "Critic", and more than 14 as "Maximum priority"
As you can see, these types of exercises would push me to use as many SQL functions and clauses as possible while at the same time practicing with joins and CTE. When I ask ChatGPT to do these kind of exercices, it goes insane and send me the same exercice with one or two minor differences and keep giving the same type of exercices with a slightly different situation.
I don't wanna give up but it's almost as if I won't find the good prompt that would allow ChatGPT to give me these kind of exercices around a unique theme, a unique situation that would push me to generate a large report based on logical and linked instructions. Because when I ask GPT to give me exercises to train, here is how it looks :

What it does is separate the instructions, and there is little link between them. It feels strange, and I can't see how it will help me train CTE and have a better grasp of JOINS. This is not the type of exercise and directions I am looking for. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I'm hoping someone would understand. I am confident that if I could create an appropriate prompt, it would provide me with the activities I am looking for.

Hey /lfg, I'm looking for 4-5 players for a fun, whimsical, Victorian-inspired steampunk styled campaign! Apologies if the prompt was a bit vague, I can't give too much away, but this campaign is to take place in a fleshed out world I've been working on for some time now.

Hi everyone, recently, I have been using GPT-4 a lot to improve my level in SQL, more precisely in terms of querying an existent database, not in creating database from scratch or architecturing it.
Indeed, this gem is very good for generating exercises to push my limits and improve my querying level.
However, recently I haven't been able to find the perfect prompt to encourage GPT to provide me with exercises related to what I'm asking for.
It's mind blowing how he struggles to deliver exactly what I want and he seems to be missing the point.
What I want ChatGPT to do is give me an exercise every time I ask for it. This exercise should push me to use the different functions, clauses, joins, mathematical operations, that is to say everything that is possible to query using SQL. To put it simply, I must be able to provide a complete report, around a single theme, where each step or instruction leads naturally to a next one and this for each exercise with a completely different situation from the previous one.
Obviously, I don't want it to force me to use all the principles at the same time in a single query to answer the exercise. I prefer that he pushes me to use a few at the same time.
Here is examples of typical exercise that I would like to solve and which I thought about 30 minutes ago :
Example 1 :

1.Calculate the turnover of companies for each region. 2.Identify regions that generated over 2 million in revenue. 3.List the top-revenue-generating company within each region that generated over 2 million in revenue. 4.Highlight the highest revenue-generating sale for each of the top company by region that generated over 2 million in revenue. 

Example 2 :

1.Gather all book sales that occurred in the last 3 months. 2.Calculate the number of sales for each book within this 3-month period and sort the results by the highest sales count. 3.Determine the total revenue generated by each book from the sales made in the last 3 months. 4.Filter out books that contributed less than 20% of the total revenue. 5.Identify the book with the highest sales count in the last 3 months. Identify the book that generated the most revenue in the last 3 months. Identify the book with the least sale count in the last three months. 

Example 3 :
1.Return the unique IDs and addresses for all stores controlled by our video game company. 2. Return the quantity of each video game in stock for each store. 3. Calculate the actual stock for each video game based on the sales that occurred in each store. 4.Identify videogames with stocks below the safety stock (threshold). 5.Identify stores that have more than three items below the safety stock. 6.Identify stores that have between 3 and 5 items below the threshold as "Not a priority", between 6 and 9 items as "Priority", between 10 and 13 as "Critic", and more than 14 as "Maximum priority"
As you can see, these types of exercises would push me to use as many SQL functions and clauses as possible while at the same time practicing with joins and CTE. When I ask ChatGPT to do these kind of exercices, it goes insane and send me the same exercice with one or two minor differences and keep giving the same type of exercices with a slightly different situation.
I don't wanna give up but it's almost as if I won't find the good prompt that would allow ChatGPT to give me these kind of exercices around a unique theme, a unique situation that would push me to generate a large report based on logical and linked instructions. Because when I ask GPT to give me exercises to train, here is how it looks :

I'm upgrading my X and Y stepper drivers on my Voron 2.4 to 5160Ts, and I've changed the config to match what I think it should be. However now I'm getting the error: pin EXP2_1 is reserved for spi1. I think the cause of this is that my display is also using EXP2, but I have no idea how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

I feel like I have made a lot of progress this year. Now my mental health is definitely really bad overall but at least this one area has improved lol. Here are some fears I had before that I overcame:
1.) Intense exercise: I was always afraid over exerting myself in the gym would make me nauseous or make me throw up. Going to the gym used to induce A LOT of anxiety in me, it’s so weird to think about that now because it’s kind of an anxiety relief for me now lol. Also I would classify the majority of my workouts as intense now, I really push myself vs. before I would kinda walk on the treadmill slowly to be “safe” 😭. When I do get nauseous during a workout the thought of throwing up doesn’t even cross my mind really, I usually think “this is so annoying” or “I feel like shit”.

1. Seeing other people throw up Now, this is still a thing I don’t like, I don’t think anyone does tbf. But I had to witness it at school and the person was close by to me and I didn’t have a panic attack or anything. I was nervous because the kid had a contagious virus so me and others were trying to avoid him but just the act of me SEEING it did not affect me.
   
2. Nausea without anxiety I have IBS and acid reflux which sucks because I used to have a panic attack every time I had symptoms. I do get anxiety from it sometimes but I have had a few episodes where I did not have anxiety which is new. It does still cause me to be nervous because when this happens it affects other areas of my life but I’m glad it has more to do with that most of the time than the possibility of getting sick.
   
3. Not having Water Idk if this is common, I have never seen it on emetophobia pages but this is a HUGE ONE for me. Since I was like 9 years old if I do not have water access at all times I absolutely freak out or have a panic attack. I remember one time at school church I brought a mini water bottle under my jacket and the teacher found it and said I can’t have it and I started freaking out and getting so scared and I almost felt like crying. This would always happen to me when I was walking too, many times I would walk like 400 feet from my house, realize I did not bring water, panic, then come home. Nowadays I have kinda run into the opposite problem where I forget water a lot of the times and I’m dehydrated 😭😭 I really need to work on that but in a way I am glad this “habit” has come full circle lol.
   
4. Just generally not having this phobia affect my day. It really used to plague my mind. I would think about it multiple times a day. I have gone days without thinking about it, maybe more. What I’m trying to say is it affects my life a lot less
   

I still have stuff to work on but I notice with anything that’s not related to stomach virus I am wayy more calm. Even with stomach virus even though it’s a huge fear I can at least think about it or read about it without freaking out- maybe that’s a step forward? Idk. I hope someone can feel better reading this and have hope for themselves too

We met 20 years ago. We were instantly and magnetically attracted to each other. I even cheated on my girlfriend at the time with her. (The one and only cheating situation of my life). We stopped seeing each other for a while, but nonetheless I eventually broke it off with my gf because I just didn’t have the same passion with my gf anymore since I met the new girl. I was now single and wanted to reach out but was afraid she was with someone else, yet somehow, almost instantly fate brought us together without me even trying. We became exclusive to each other and it was the happiest time of my life. Our honeymoon phase lasted a good year or so, then we got a house together and I proposed to her. We then got married and had 2 kids together and the pressures of life as parents got to the both of us and we emotionally drifted apart over the years. We often became very toxic for each other but I never lost love for her. We now have been married for almost 15 years, but almost a year ago, she decided she wanted to separate. Her decision was right at the time when her mother became very ill, and our daughter was becoming a troubled teen. My wife started to change physically and emotionally. I’ve given her plenty of space but I stuck around because I knew it was not a good time to just walk out on them, considering everything that was going on. I’ve tried not to pressure her but every month or so I would check in to see how she was feeling about us and she still claimed she was “done”. The pain was immense, I tried letting go but constantly just falling harder for her all over again. I’ve worked on myself and began my spiritual journey. I’ve had the dreams, the number synchronicities, the obsessive thinking, etc, which all has ramped up the past couple of months. Over the past few weeks I’ve learned about twin flames and suddenly the past 20 years, and especially the last year, is all making so much sense. I now feel like I’m more in love with her than ever, yet she is still closed off to me. I’m at the point where I know I need to just leave and was ready to but now her mother’s health has went into a swift decline. She doesn’t seem to be feeling the pain of the possibility that she may lose her mother very soon. There has been a few instances since the new year where I was like “are you ready to talk to the kids and tell them what’s going on with us” but every time it seems like there’s something we have to wait for, and she never seems to push for that conversation even though she is the one that wants out. We are both miserable in this situation. I never stop thinking about her. Like EVER. Feels like my brain is going explode sometimes.
TLDR; (but please read ⬆️)I feel deeply for her and that she is my twin flame. I can’t imagine my life without her, and we are on the brink of separation. Does this sound like the twin flame journey?
