Hello,
I'm new to using pywinauto for some automation. I'm in the process of making a program that can automate on Pokemon Heartgold by using DesMuME. Initially, I was using pyautogui to automate the keystrokes and it was working perfectly. However, pyautogui needs the window to be in focus, which makes it so that I cannot use my computer to do other things in the meantime. This is when I started looking into pywinauto, to try and send keys to the program in the background while I do other things.
The issue is that none of the keystrokes are being sent. I'm still very new to pywinauto, and I might be doing things incorrectly, but I am not entirely sure. I've tried methods like type_keys(), send_chars() and send_keystrokes() but I was getting errors on each of them. I tried importing the send_keys() method from pywinauto.keyboard, but it doesn't work.
This is the code I have so far to initialize the application:

I don't really know what else there is to try. The pyautogui solution works as it should, but this would make it so much easier to run the program and leave it in the background while I do other things. If anyone knows how to fix, I would greatly appreciate it.

Pretty much what the title says. After the new season started i'm stuck with this char without the temper. All other chars in my account found the mission and it's ok but this one.... someone with the same issue found a way to fix this?

I am currently in the early stages of prototyping my space games core loop. I just wanted to get some insights from members of this community as I am targeting a cross genre blend.
My game is currently shaping up to be a mix of Survivor like (think vampire survivors) and space sim fleet management. Still very early in so plenty of room for change. Game is 2d with a clean look that is based on 80s/90s space and mecha anime with bright colors and lots of contrast (battleship yamato/gundam and others).
For context the general experience is for the player to feel like they are in massive battles.
To that end I have been adding fleet mechanics where in a player can choose to bring in allied ships of varying types via collecting points from enemies killed etc time survived.
The player only controls their ship same as vampire survivors with automatic turrets. Allied ships will have roles and will loosely follow around the player char.
You can choose upgrades to either your ship or to bring in new ships or to upgrade existing ship or even perform heals. Based on rolls random selection of three choices.
Your allied fleet members can die and you will have to wait/collect more points/survive until you can call in another… also will lose any ship upgrades to that ship. Harsh penalties!
So right now core loop is survive and build a fleet to help you survive as things will get harder by the minute. Maybe have random events/bosses and of course you can beat a level eventually. Some persistant upgrades and new chars to unlock.
Anyways, is this something that you as a space sim player would enjoy? Or is it too far from your scope? Maybe something could make it apeal to you more?

Hello, I'm quite new to rust, have been doing some rustlings and while tinkering with Move Semantics 6 I found a alternative solution, but I struggle to understand why this works:

I do understand I was supposed to just pass ownership to that function on the intended solution. I wanted to understand if I could pass a mutable reference to the function and still read the variable afterwards. One of the key factors is: why does even when dereferencing the `data` variable inside `string_uppercase` it gets mutated anyway?

This code was a template that was provided by my uni, and had to adapt to work with what the teacher asked. Ive been around this code for 2 weeks and i have no idea why it always returns a 0 value. This is supposed to take in a txt file that has coordinates that are used to make a graph, number of people, number of supermarkets, coordinates of the people, coordinates of the supermarkets. Code uses the coordinates to create a graph, and is supposed to find the best possible solution to bring each person to a supermarket (once 1 person goes to the supermarket, another cant enter the same one)
The code perfectly reads the file, since at the end it identifys how many markets, people, etc are in. But for someon reason it never gives me any solution. its always 0.
Im sorry if this is a shit post, im not very experienced in this and my english isnt the better. Aprecciate any help i can get. thank you in advance.

Hi all,
I've been watching the Star Wars movies with my children recently, and got the itch to give SWTOR a try. I've played extensively in the past, and have a bunch of 75ish level chars, and have done all class stories. I wanted to return and make a new character and go through one of the stories again and do them in order up to the current, probably skipping planet quests. I also like to queue for PVP while I am leveling.
Is there a good breakdown of how the new class system works? Is it true I could play a Jedi Knight, but use Consular skills? Also, is this feasible playing as a preferred but not subbed account? Is there limits on PVP matches, or anything without subbing? I have owned the game and subbed for years, and have a lot invested but cannot afford a monthly subscription right now.
Going to see what info I could find but thought I could get a few pointers here. Appreciate the help! =)

Short questions. I can’t find anything about it. In all you tube videos they say the legendary cloak is a shared one for all chars but after I finished my first lvl 70 char I startet a new one and his cloak is again the beginner one. Is there a quest for new chars ? Or was the information just wrong. Thank you

Charlie. er Charli... started hanging out on our patio in 2022, as we'd put food out for two other ferals (brothers Boston and Chicago)... Not long after, he... SHE soon brought with her two babies - who we then temp named Delta and Echo. Delta (Now Adelaide) was a near spitting image of mom as seen here. We got mom TNR'ed and then trapped the babies (got lucky - got them in the same night). We had them with a foster, and once they got set for indoor-life, we adopted them. Adie and Perth joined Melbourne and Victoria in our home as indoor-only cats. Never thought I'd have 4 cats.... but the wife convinced me. Charli shows up about once a week as we take care some other outdoor cats that have adopted us (she loves wet food) - and we think she has new people as she seems in good health today. Adie and Perth are doing great and are good cats (though Perth will destroy cardboard boxes and packing paper if left alone with it (we call him Perth, Destroy of Worlds - and he likes to chase Tori, the Murder Princess.).

Please hear my out, this will sound like a complaint (okay, kinda is), but I am really interested in your opinion. Playing eternal realm with three chars, wolf tornado druid, no-shouts double-swing barb and ball lightning sorc. All between mid-eighty and early ninety level-wise. No ubers, but a few nice uniques (tr, joritz, tibault). All items fully upgraded. Patch came. What now? Reaching lvl 100 should not take too long. Then what? To find items like I have, masterwork and temper them so they are at least as good as the ones I have will take ages!!! I found tr and upgraded it to level 4 (of 12 I guess?) while leveling my druid from 92 to 98 and the stats on the helmet are still not as good as the ones of the tr I wear. I can't upgrade it much further (pit levels higher than 30 are tricky for me). And that is only one item!! Okay, I could do "the real endgame", min-max everything and probably need to change my build to something more meta. Therefore will be able to reach higher pit levels (grind and grind and grind) and be able further upgrade my items. Maybe it's just me, but that doesn't sound like fun. What do you think? Is the alternative to level a new char from 1-100?
