2024.05.19 07:57 Street-Reindeer5234 Duelist Changes are Coming in Patch 8.11. Here are the Comprehensive Changes in the Duelist Roster that I Cooked for Months.

But first off, I want to clearly state my objectives for these changes:
General:

Achieve ideal balanced state between the duelists through UNIFORMITY.

Specific:

Make Raze less oppressive
Tune up Neon for her to compete well with Jett/Raze in terms of dive capacity
Tune up Phoenix to rise over Raze in terms of space-clearing capability
Rework Iso to be a 'dive-capable' agent, without erasing his identity.
Give minor buffs to Yoru, to help with his ease of mobility across large maps like Breeze.
Forget about Reyna for now.

Targets:
Rank in terms of Movement:

Neon
Jett
Raze
Yoru
Iso
Phoenix

Rank in terms of ability functions: (1- having the most self-aiding abilities, and 6- having the most enemy-debuffing abilties; Ultimates not counted)

Jett (3 abilities for self)
Iso (2 for self, 1 for enemy)
Neon (2, 1)
Yoru (1, 2)
Raze (1, 2)
Phoenix (3 for enemies)

Ideal Map Size for Each Duelists:
Jett: flexible Raze: mid-ranged - close-ranged Neon: mid-ranged - long-ranged Phoenix: close-ranged Iso: mid-ranged Yoru: long-ranged (Bind being an exception because of the presence of teleport portals)
So, here are the changes with my reasonings:
1.) JETT [No Changes]

Jett is a fairly decent agent now and pros who have mastered her pick her.

2.) RAZE [Nerf]
Make Paintshells her Q, and Blast Packs her E
Q: Paintshells - Make shootable (100HP) while still in the air; will explode upon shooting.
E: Blast Pack - Rechargeable every two kills (one pack). Only displaces Raze. No equip delay for it to deal damage.
X: Showstopper - Remove the feature/bug that sents Raze flying when fired to the ground in combo with a satchel.

I made Raze's kit mainly focused on entry- this weakens her another initially strong function which is flushing out enemies from a site. Hence, her signature ability now is her satchels. And since satchel propels Raze to the air, I made her grenade able to be used as a good distraction that the enemies can point their crosshairs to.

3.) NEON [Buff/Rework]

We can go two ways about this: it is either,

Neon retains her movement ability as it is, but gets buffs to her other abilities, including ult.
Neon gets buffs to her movement ability but retains her other abilities.

If chosen the latter, the changes would be:
E: High Gear - Introduce a new passive that will replace the slide: SURGE. Right-click while sprinting to quickly drain Neon's energy meter and surge- during this period, she runs twice (2.5x) the speed as her normal sprint. (5m/s increased to 12.5m/s). When activated, the energy meter drains 4x as fast and will not recharge anymore for the remainder of the round. Passive is usable only once per round.
E: (Electric Slide) - Make electric slide usable everytime Neon sprints: but only moves her as far as 3m. To slide and pull out gun after sprinting, press Ctrl key (crouch). Sliding after Surge moves Neon for 7m.
X: Neon cannot shoot electric field during surge while ulted.

I chose the latter since I want Neon to be the ideal dive agent. Compared to Jett and Raze, she now has three movement configurations at her disposal: slide, surge, sprint. This makes her a movement-focused agent. But as trade-off, she has comparatively weaker basic abilities and ultimate than both Jett and Raze since unlike the two, Neon's stuns, wall and ult oblige her to keep pushing forward ang get a kill; there are no secondary uses to them such as stalling or intel-gathering. And also, she lacks the verticality that the two agent offer. Hence, she must clearly excel in her horizontal mobility.

4.) PHOENIX [Rework]
Make C ability (Blaze) his Q and His flashes his C.
Q: Blaze - Has 4s Duration (1s casting period included), 15 dps. Can be casted through walls. Already deals damage during the casting period. Casting/curving the wall is now faster. Phoenix will not get healed by the wall anymore. But casting it induces a speed boost of about 15%.
E: Hot Hands - Resembles Raze's grenade more than Brimstone's molly now. Ability model now looks like a campfire, unlike before when it looked like a lava flow. Area of damage effect spreads over time throughout its 3s duration. Ticks 35 damage per second. Does not heal Phoenix anymore.
X: Run it Back - Ult points required: 6 > 8

I changed the abilities, without changing Phoenix's kit and identity as a whole (except the healing part, which I think can be the niche of Reyna but let's forget about her for now). I made his wall more optimal for assault gunfights and taking space, instead of maintaining brief control over an area or cutting off sightlines when entrying into site (Viper and Harbor do that already). Phoenix's molly is also his signature ability; thus, it is appropriate that it stands as the best molly in the game- not Raze's anymore. With these changes, I'm hoping for Phoenix to be a hard-clearing duelists who's designed to flush enemies out of tight areas and corners (Haven garage and a short came to mind). And lastly, the ult orb change is for making Phoenix's ult more in-line with other ults in the game since it is pretty strong.

5.) ISO [Rework]
Make his C ability (bulletproof wall), attached to his E ability for it to work like this: when Iso gets a shield, he can detach it from his body and turn it into a forward-moving impenetrable wall as the ability window ends. Then, replace it with a new C ability.
C: (cant think of a name for it) - Iso's MOVEMENT ability. Equip to instantly send out a flying aimlab orb (like a sova drone but has the same speed of gekko's thrash) for 2s. Has 2 charges: equip the 2nd charge while the previous charge's timer is running out to refresh the ability timer. After the timer expires, Iso will be teleported to the land directly below the orb. Has the same gun pullout speed as Yoru.
Q: Undercut - Aside from the vulnerability, add a new status effect: ISOLATION. Enemies hit by it will have narrowed down vision (similar to spike rush paranoia) and will be unable to make crossfires with their ally/allies. This debuff won't allow for the narrowed vision cone of the affected player to intercept with the vision cone of his/her ally. Charge decreased: 2 > 1
E: Double Tap - Charge decreased from 2 > 1. Duration of focused activity decreased to 10s.
Okay, explanations here we go:
C: From ISO's pov

When casted, enter a 'phaser world' similar to his ult but has the same layout as the map. (Works like Omen's smokes but first-person; so basically, the camera is attached to the orb itself). The movement of the orb in Iso's world is the same as in the actual world. The orb cannot trasverse through walls.

C: From allies' pov

Iso's body remains stationary at the place where he casted the ability (like a Sova droning or a Skye dogging). Iso casting the second charge of the orb while the first charge is still active will not spawn Iso to where the first charge ended. Rather, Iso will remain at the position where he casted the first charge until the second charge's timer expires.

C: From enemy's pov

Flying orb looks just like a normal orb that Iso shoots when E is active. Only difference is that, it requires to be shot twice to break it. Once destroyed, Iso is forcibly spawned, standing at the land below it.

Q: How does it work?

Assume that your allies have lasers directly pointing to where their crosshairs are - and that each of the beam ends when it hits a surface/wall. Now, when you're hit by an enemy Iso's undercut, looking at atleast one of these laser beams will blind you at an almost instantaneous speed.
Why all of these changes? To answer that, I practically just gave Iso some of Omen's characteristics. Iso's C ability now is almost identical to Omen's shrouded steps; and his Q to Omen's paranoia. This is to promote competition within the role since Iso now has a movement ability, albeit not a strong one. Besides, Iso's power lies at his ability to isolate enemies: these changes only strengthen Iso in this axis while still providing signifcant drawbacks: (only one charge of Q and E, risky entry with C and being unable to disengage with it unlike other movement abilities).

6.) YORU [Buff]
E teleport anchor & Q projectile now move depending on Yoru's velocity during casting (similar to Omen's paranoia before it was patched out). Moving forward: faster, backward: slower, still: normal.
7.) REYNA [Rework]

I just stated a few pharagraphs ago to forget about Reyna. But, ignoring her will be a blatant problem. It is actually her that needs fixing more than the other agents in the game since her playstyle just does not fit valorant. One may argue that as long as Reyna caters to a certain playerbase, she is okay and better be left as is. That may be true to some extent but I am sharing my concept anyways.

C: Leer - Invisible when still in motion, only becomes visible and nearsights enemy when already at targeted position.
E: Dismiss & Q: Devour - still has shared two charges. But the left part now (under E) is highlighted purple, while the right part is white. The latter charge is purchasable.Reyna has one free purple charge every round. Q is now usable even WITHOUT harvesting a soul orb- this consumes the white charge. When Q activated, enter a 12s activation window (similar to Jett's tailwind) that grants Reyna increased gun pull out speed and quiet footsteps even when running with melee out. When the timer expires, all the damage incurred by Reyna during the 12s window will be healed at a rate of 20HP/s. Press Q while the window is active to abruptly finish the timer and heal up. Throughout the interaction, Reyna does not have ability cast animations.
Press Q while a soul orb is in line of sight to OVERHEAL with it (like how it works now)- this consumes the purple charge. E is only usable through a soul orb- this also consumes the purple charge.
X: Empress - Enter frenzy mode. The purple charge gets unlimited and can be used as long as there is a soul orb available. Ult points requirement: 7 > 6

Yes, believe it or not, it was MSD’s 110 meters monstrous whack outside the stadium and here’s how:
That six to Yash Dayal which brought the equation down to 11 off 5 was a blessing in disguise for RCB. Until the point that delivery was bowled, the ball was slippery and had slightly swelled up due to which bowlers like Lockie, Dayal & Siraj were bowling bizarre above waist full-tosses and Faf + Virat were continually arguing with the umpires to have the ball changed since it kept slipping off from the grip of CSK seamers.
After the ball was struck outside the park by MSD, a different ball was obviously handed over to Dayal (yes it did have roughly same usage for fairness) but it wasn’t wet nor swelled up. Dayal was able to execute a slower delivery much batter and MSD couldn’t use the slow pace enough thus being caught in the deep. This was followed by 3 balls to Jadeja and Shardul perfectly executed since grip was much better compared to the previous “ball” that was dispatched by Dhoni out of Chinnaswamy.
Hard luck for CSK and MSD fans and a terrific comeback by Dayal & RCB.

Shalom. Introductions aside, just know that I am a hardcore gamer who has pristine observation skills. I wanted to take it upon myself to give a comprehensive Tier List of the entirety of Chapter 5, Season 2 weapons.
This is not a spreadsheet, no specific mathematical mumbo jumbo needed.
In other words, take my word for it and debate me if you disagree with my tier list for this season.
Additionally, mythic boss weapons are excluded because I judge the weapon classes they belong to holistically. Although mythic weapons do more damage than legendary variants, they are restricted from being customized to preference, thus making the legendary variant of each mythic far superior.
Lastly, there are two honorable mention tiers and this is far from the typical tier list.

Reasoning Section
Atrocity - Waterbending is an all encompassing infinite range (it travels past render range) infinite ammo, instant reload super power that will drop any enemy of most skill ranges in exactly two shots. This two shot kill problem is especially a factor when your enemy is using an untraceable form of Zen or Aimbot. Gamers who rely on this atrocious thing to kill or get wins are either inept at the game OR fighting water with water. Thought I would NEVER hear that phrase... Yet it is LITERAL. This weapon should have started and ended with the Avatar: The Last Airbender mini event. This is the second worst decision Epic has ever made, right next to... Well, that's a banned name isn't it... that pleb pleaser from Season X. Waterbending is so broken that it just removes the enjoyment from the game entirely. Even though it is labeled as a mythic rarity item it is far more common than bandages and perhaps more common than most common rarity weapons. Horrendous, absolutely horrendous decision.
S Tier - The Thunder Burst SMG is a phenomenal skill-based weapon that requires precision accuracy to observe the sheer powerhouse of a weapon it is. It has one of the lowest Time To Kill (TTK) in the game due to It's powerful damage output, accuracy, and headshot multiplier (1.76x). It can be used for mid-range combat as well with a modest damage reduction.
The Gatekeeper Shotgun is by far the BEST shotgun ever released in Fortnite History, surpassing the Charge Shotgun class except its Mythic variant. This shotgun excels in point blank range and the TTK is less than two seconds. It has a great spread which provides the opportunity for some guaranteed hits when firing from the hip. When it is aimed down, the spread becomes more precise. Most shotguns do this, yet the Gatekeeper stands out because the choke is not pinpoint accurate (like other failures of a shotgun) and its crosshair fits so nicely around an enemy's head.
The Ranger Pistol has a fast TTK and is damn near the perfection of the Thunder Burst SMG. The two are so similar in damage output, firerate, reload time and range that honestly a player can use either and perform well. When compared to the Warforged AR, it is more accurate, has a higher headshot multiplier, and reloads much faster.
Cluster Clingers were literally the only throwable explosives that did enough damage required to kill. A lethal weapon in the hands of a skilled player. This specific item will forever hold its place as the 'only' explosive throwable item. Be honest, the rest were just gimmicks that were terrible and practically useless. This was the ONLY grenade that actually put enemies back to the lobby. Why it was removed is beyond nonsensical. Anyone who could dare complain about the first (only) grenade that did grenading is... I will say it, part of the Little Timmy community (plebs) that Epic LOVES to humor (I remember Season X well).
Each of these weapons are truly a masterpiece in their class and stand out as among the greatest weapons to ever touch the surface of the game. They do not require attachments to be good. These weapons can be deadly in the hands of players from all skill ranges. From common to legendary or mythic these weapons take the cake as this season's best.
A Tier - The Huntress DMR is the BEST DMR to date. All other DMRs pale in comparison to this one (Looking at you Cobra) because it actually hits targets when you aim and shoot directly at them. This would have been S-Tier but since it requires a specific set of attachments each game to be superior, it cannot be placed there. This weapon shoots the farthest and has little to no bullet drop whatsoever. It is superior to the once great Reaper Sniper rifle and takes the cake as the best long-range choice this season.
Note: Perhaps with the fresh new ballistics system, the Cobra DMR can make a return and actually function properly instead of being exclusive to function on PC.
The Hand Cannon is a re-imagining of one of Chapter 1's best weapons. It is superior to other slow firing, semi-automatic weapons due to its damage output and buffed headshot multiplier. This weapon is exclusive for highly accurate and skilled players which is precisely why it remains in A Tier. It is not universally great (S-Tier), yet it still rewards those with precise aim. The fun with this weapon is that it doubles as a close range defender or a sniper rifle depending on attachment preference. When modded to be a long-range weapon it should be noted that it has less bullet drop than the Reaper Sniper Rifle. The other optimization is the classic one which can be done with an optic attached or not. When used in this classic form, it outclasses the Hammer Pump Shotgun entirely. It does more headshot damage and less body shot damage, sure, but at least significant damage is guaranteed since spread is not a factor.
The Nemesis AR is a powerhouse of a weapon as well which is surprisingly accurate for its high damage output and adequate headshot multiplier. It has a fast TTK and requires little investment to be superior to other weapons in its class.
The Chain of Hades is not an an atrocity. It is very much required to counter and punish enemies who think they are tough guys fleeing from a fight using shockwaves or the wings of Icarus, or even a motorbike. It is fun to use, when it works. This item is prevented from being S-Tier due to the FACT it does not work properly. This weapon has a sweeping animation and must be paired with area of effect damage. The center of the crosshair is NOT the only area of damage. This can be tested and proven by opening a door, aiming in the middle of the doorway, and swinging. You will notice the it does indeed deal damage to the left and right of the crosshair. Sadly, and unsurprisingly, this AOE melee weapon seems to exclusively function properly on PC. When used on PC, this chain causes a stagger that prevents a weapon from firing in a minute instances. That is, each hit when swung, causes an interruption of a weapon firing. This feature is nonexistent on consoles and seems intentional. As for the chain pull, that attack causes stagger universally, which is good.
B Tier - The Warforged AR is decent at best. Even with a legendary properly modded variant, it pales in comparison to the Nemesis AR, which requires little investment to no investment. This weapon had much potential but Epic clealry refuses to allow an S-Tier assault rifle to exist again.
The Drum Gun is yet another re-imagining of one of the greatest weapons to enter the META first debuted in Chapter 1. This version, regardless of attachments, fails to be what it once was. It is about as accurate as the Warforged and also lacks recoil control even with the attachments meant to reduce it.
Earthbending was a failed opportunity for Epic to allow players to have fun with the game. I would have preferred summoning armor on my character (like Toph does in the show) paired with the ability to bull charge into an enemy which would deal an atrocious amount of damage to be equally unfair as Waterbending. Maybe 150 damage or simply an instant KO. Heck if I care you cannot shoot the armor off quick enough to cancel the attack. As for Earthbebding as it was made, the cover provided was stronger than metal, and more reliable than porta bunkers. Long before the time it would take to break the cover, the ability to form another wall is primed and ready. Hurling large, fine cut rock slabs at enemies should have caused a KO in two hits to counter that atrocity not worth my breath anymore.
C Tier - The Hammer Pump Shotgun is just a joke but can still be deadly when paired with an appropriate backup weapon. This weapon could be A-Tier at best when paired with a Thunder Burst SMG or F-Tier at worst when used alone. By that logic, it averages to the middle of the tier list. Oh I miss the days when it just took one skilled shot to send them back to the lobby with the original Pump Shotgun re-imagined in Chapter 1 Season 5. This was arguably the most balanced period in Fortnite's history especially for both SMGs and ARs.
The Tactical AR is yet another re-imagining of one of the greatest weapons. This too pales in comparison to it's predecessor. Even with all necessary attachments on it, it is not the same as before. Period. It does not do enough damage and high a slow TTK. It pales in comparison to both the Thunder Burst SMG and other assault rifles. It fails to be both SMG and AR when it is meant to be a combination of both.
The Reaper Sniper has once graced players inventories as the BEST sniper rifle in Fortnite's history. Once an S-Tier weapon, this powerful sniper rifle has fallen from that status due to Epic's tendency to humor plebeians in the community. It has caused this weapon to become absolutey useless for what it was made for. It does not make any sense at all for this weapon's bullets to have bullet drop before 20m. The projectory of the bullet is flaccid, like to an ED extent. Absolutely an ABSURD choice for long range encounters, period. However, this weapon can surpass even the Hand Cannon as a replacement for a shot gun, slap the proper attachments on play pretend that it is the KSG-12 or a slug round shotgun, then you got yourself an S-Tier shotgun that drops players in ONE shot.
Airbending is not a weapon per se, however it can be used as one to cause a death due to gravity or to prevent vehicles from traveling. It was amazing. I miss it. It was the best movement option that was ever released in the game.
D Tier - Thunderbolt of Zeus had potential to be amazing. It was pathetic compared to cluster clingers and its splash damage seems to be so random that it is unreliable. It is supposed to hit for 40, 40, then 140. Yet my final hit is hitting for 80. I do not understand. Prep time alone makes this weapon a death wish.
Firebending also lack a passive ability and Epic has failed to make this combat-based bending effective. Unless you are staying perfectly still, you will jump around like a maniac and miss all projectiles. Period. Upon release, it dealt barely any damage and Epic did not bother buffing the damage until near the event's conclusion. I should, according to the same broken logic, be able to bend lightning with extreme precision to deal 300+ damage, thus instantly knocking out anyone.
F Tier - The Frenzy Auto Shotgun was once an atrocity and at first got respectfully nerfed. Then Epic nerfed it again to be effective exclusively at less than point-blank range. Any further than 10 meters then you are surely dealing between 10-20 damage IF you are lucky.
The Bowcaster is a failure of what could have been a fun limited time weapon to use. Firstly it animates an AoE per shot regardless of charge and does NOT do splash damage when shot. When charged fully it deals decent damage but then the splash damage is negligible. I am a first hand witness to this bs weapon having splash damage be effective exclusively on PC. I was damaged from about a tile and a half away from the point of impact when at the Dumpen Haussen reboot van. I find it unnerving that some weapons have no polish on console. The Bowcaster when shot semiautomatic is not only supposed to have splash damage but it also fails to deal damage in general. This weapon suffers the Cobra DMR curse where if you aim directly at an enemy and HIT them, it does no damage or just goes right through them or it is just rubber bullets or blanks. As for the bowcaster, it is as if the laser goes directly through the enemy causing no damage whatsoever. This does not happen on PC. To my knowledge, Epic intentionally caters to this SMALL percentage of the community.
Darth Vader's lightsaber is just bad compared to the chain. The chain is in an entirely different class. The lightsaber lacks damage output and is trash at blocking waterbending. The guard is easily broken. Without a pool of lightsabers to choose from that have powers per color. The other powers would have been perfect counters to the chain of hades. Push em off or pull them down or towards. Amazing, is what it would have been.
Absurdity Tier - The E-11 is canonically accurate, how ironic. Nuff said. No wonder the Storm Troopers could never hit their shots.
The Harbinger SMG was supposed to fix Epic's failure last season, the Hyper SMG. Both are absurdities and should NEVER be picked up in any circumstance. You would fair better throwing grass at your enemies. The Harbinger SMG is outclassed in DPS by EVERY other light ammo weapon option, EVER, not just this season. It is BEYOND a failure which is why it takes its rightful place here. It is to NEVER be relied on. You will surely die faster by any other weapon in the game. Even at legendary rarity optimized for hipfire or ADS the gun is inaccurate regardless of the player using it. Both the E-11 and the Harbinger SMG are universally repulsive and fail to be a weapon (by definition) in the hands of any player.
Conclusion
These are my expert observations on what is, can be, and is not effective in the current META. Please feel free to debate these claims, if you can.

I walked the Frances from mid Sept to the end of Oct 2023. My plan was that I would always take the longest route if there were options. This didn't always happen, but almost always the alternative path was a great diversion and when I joined back up with my camino family, they weren't happy with their route. Usually the alternative routes are longer but the benefit is they take you away from roads and into more nature.
I'm going to use Gronze maps to explain where these are. I primarily used the Buen Camino app while walking, and Gronze sometimes implies the alternatives are the main path...

SJPDP to Roncesvalles - the Napoleon vs Road route is described a lot. However on the Napoleon at the start of the decent down to Roncesvalles you can go directly down on the path through the forest or take the winding gravel road to the right. The pilgrims' office in SJPDP told everyone to take this road due to the conditions, almost no one did and they had a hard time with the steepness and mud. The road has amazing views, including that of the main albergue in Roncesvalles. It's far safer, less steep, but it is somewhat exposed. Towards the end there is a km or two next to a river and the road, but overall highly recommended. Extra distance - about 500m. link to map
Estella to Los Arcos - There is a shortcut "variant" just outside Ayegui, don't take this as you'll miss the famous Irache winery (free wine). Many people did though, by accident. Then, a little ways past the winery, there is an alternative path to the south, "variant de Montejurra". I don't think this path is much longer, might even be shorter, but it's far more scenic from what I heard. You get on to single track through trees which is really nice especially on a hot day. There are some terrific views and you're far away from the main roads. link to map
Logroño to Nájera - This is a long days walk, but there is the little town of Ventosa which can be bypassed saving you 1km. However this "detour" takes you along an "art walk", away from the road, and Ventosa is a nice place to stop for a drink/ice cream/tapa. The bypass is marked on the map as "camino directo". link to map
Entering Burgos - This one is essential. The main camino route takes you north of the airport, through a lot of industrial areas etc. Or, the alternative takes you south and you enter Burgos along its river. It's a stunning walk, and if the sun is out you'll see all the locals hanging out and enjoying their main park. We even had a quick swim in the river! It's about 1km longer, but that river walk is so nice and shady. There is a sign to show you where to turn, but many still missed it. link to map
Fromista to Carrión de los Condes - Just as you leave Población de Campos the Way splits and there is a northern path that takes you away from being next to the road for about 10km. Well worth it. Instead you are on a single track path next to a small river, and farm roads. You can actually see the road to you left a few hundred meters away!. Adds about 1km, but absolutely worth it. You have to look for this, there isn't obvious signs. link to map
León to Hospital de Órbigo - The official camino path takes you alongside a main road all day here, and from what people have told me, it was the worst day on the entire camino. The alternative route breaks off into the countryside just as you finally leave the outskirts of León. There are a number of small villages with albergues along this route so you don't have to make it all the way to Hospital de Órbigo. It's mostly still on roads, some dirt, but there were almost no cars. We stayed in a casa rural called Molino Galochas (just after Villavante), which I highly recommend, book though. This detour is about 4km longer. Gronze documents it over two stages. link to map
Hospital de Órbigo to Astorga - As you exit Hospital de Órbigo there is yellow paint all over the road telling you to turn right. Most people missed it, don't! Gronze suggests it as the main route. Again you avoid the main road, and there is the best snack oasis of the camino on this path, plus decent views of Astorga. <1km longer perhaps. link to map
Entering Ponferrada - many people stick to the side of the road going into town, but the Way breaks off to the left through some more countryside. It's a tough decision because it's a hard day of walking and this adds a bit more of a hill and about 1km. Nothing amazing to report about this section but you avoid the main road ("variant por carretera"). link to map
Entering Villafranca - another must do.... just after Pieros at the top of the hill, you turn right away from the main road, as per Gronze's suggested path. This takes you through some very scenic countryside, and away from the main road, adding about 1km. link to map
Leaving Villafranca - I didn't do this alternative as guides and people suggested not to. It takes you up a mountain which is fairly steep and it was pouring down the day I walked this. But it's on the Gronze map. link to map
Triacastela to Sarria - well documented southern route to the monastery in Samos. About 7km longer but well worth stopping there and doing the tour. A really beautiful trail that day too, but I'm sure the other way is great too. link to map
Leaving Portomarín - this one isn't on Gronze's maps, but just as you cross the bridge leaving town you can go right following the road, or left following a lesser used road. I went left (longer), it was nice - very green, no cars at all. There are two camino markers pointing in each direction at the end of the bridge so you can't miss it. Probably <1km longer and you get views of the river for a bit.

There will be other detours and alternatives that you see on your Camino. I encourage you to explore..... Buen Camino!

2024.05.19 00:09 baT98Kilo How to modify "C" Crash Dive and "D" Dive depths - no Silent 3ditor

If you've played for more than a couple hours you probably know that pressing "D" to dive is a death sentence unless you later press "A" or specify a depth on the meter afterwards. I located this parameters location, and it is set to 300m for all boats, beyond the crush depth of all boats.
To modify this, follow the file path: Silent Hunter 3> data> Submarine> NSS_Uboat, picking the class you want. Locate the .CFG file and open it with Notepad.
Under [Properties], locate "CrashDepth" and "MaxDepth". The former is the depth that boat class will dive to upon pressing "C", and you guessed it, the latter upon pressing "D". Note: MaxDepth does NOT modify that boat's crush depth, ONLY the depth the helmsmen dive to upon pressing D.
For convenience, I've listed all stock crush depths here:
IIA: 153m IID: 159m VIIB: 225m VIIC: 247m IXB: 219m IXC: 233m IXD2: 235m XXI: 292m
The VIIC/41, /42, and IXC/40 don't have any effect on ships crush depth, even though the /41 and /42 ought to dive deeper.
Set the depths to whatever you want, just make sure that you don't exceed the boats crush depth like it's set to currently. This is particularly useful for the Type XXI because you can dive the ship beyond the 260m limitation of the deep depth meter without having to do it from the CE's station in Control. Keep in mind however that Allied sonar goes to 300m.
The telegraph can also be modified, with each bell as a coefficient of full speed. So for example, if A 1/3 is 0.57, and full speed is 20kts, then A 1/3 is 0.57*20kts=11.4kts. Hope this helps.

Hello! Wondering if anyone else experiences this and if there’s a way to fix it:
When I double click the master fader (to return to 0), it disappears and the graphics for the meters glitch out.
Photos above are before & after double clicking.
Happens in every session, including the one pictured, which is a new, completely empty session. Also happens sometimes when I just try to move the fader up or down (no double click).
I’m currently using Reaper 7.15 but it happened in version 6 too.
