2024.05.19 09:05 Alteredchaos š¢ Sunday News - with a focus on carers this week
Ministers apologise and return Ā£7,000 in benefits to woman, 93, with dementia Government ministers have formally apologised and repaid Ā£7,000 to a 93-year-old woman whom they held responsible for running up benefits overpayment debts even though they were told she had dementia and was unable to manage her affairs.
The case, which the minister for disability, Mims Davies, admitted was ādisturbingā, was brought to light by the Guardian as part of its investigation into carer's allowance overpayments.
The agreement to write off
the debt of the 93-year-old, whom the Guardian has chosen not to name, comes as ministers have promised to try new ways of sharing information with carers to try to prevent them building up months and years of overpayments.

DWP confirmed that it is developing an āenhanced notification strategyā to alert carerās allowance claimants to possible overpayments Notifications designed to encourage claimants to report changes in income and so reduce the risk of being overpaid.
As part of its policy paper
, Fighting Fraud in the Welfare System: Going Further, that was published earlier this week, the Department says (at paragraph 78) -
'In carerās allowance we are progressing an enhanced notification strategy as part of our existing commitment to improve customer engagement, building on our existing communications with customers. As part of this notification strategy we are considering all forms of targeted contact to find the most effective and efficient solution, such as exploring the use of targeted text messages or emails to alert claimants and encourage them to contact the Department when the DWP is made aware of a potential overpayment.'
The Department added -
'The new strategy will help claimants understand when they may have received an earnings-related overpayment or are at risk of doing so, and will encourage claimants to contact the DWP to meet their obligation to inform the Department of changes in their income and other relevant circumstances. This will reduce the risk of those customers being overpaid.'
Note: having
expressed concern that the DWP had 'done nothing' to stop carers building up huge overpayments of benefit despite knowing what people are earning, Work and Pensions Committee Chair Stephen Timms
called on the National Audit Office to investigate problems with the carer's allowance system and, in particular, its failure to prevent or rectify overpayments.
Stephen Timms
has also written to Secretary for State for Work and Pensions Mel Stride highlighting concerns about the DWP's lack of progress with overpayments since the
previous committee's report in 2019. Mr Timms' letter repeats the committee's recommendation that the DWP increase the rate of carer's allowance and goes on to call for the DWP to review both the amount and the cliff-edge nature of the earnings limit and for the removal of the 21-hour study rule.

Carers UK has welcomed the DWP's plans, noting this is the 'minimum' they've been calling for to tackle carers' overpayments. However, Director of Policy and Public Affairs Emily Holzhausen also highlights that implementing the strategy is 'urgent', asks that the whole issue be moved out of being branded benefits fraud, and that carer's allowance be reviewed as it should be 'modernised to reflect the realities of caring'.
DWP-commissioned research highlights how the carerās allowance earnings threshold influences decisions about how many hours carers work Report also makes clear that the Department was made aware three years ago that there was room to improve claimant understanding and possibly reduce mistakes leading to overpayments by improving its communications.
The research,
Experiences of claiming and receiving carerās allowance, explores how and why people claim carer's allowance; their caring roles; experiences of combining paid work and care; and how well claimants understand the rules associated with the benefit. While carried out in 2020/2021, the research has been published today against a backdrop of calls for the
wholescale reform of carer's allowance as a result of evidence that claimants who have earned above the carer's allowance earnings limit have been left with large overpayments and, in some cases, prosecuted for fraud.
While the research found that many claimants in employment felt there was a practical limit to the hours they could work, with many saying it was only feasible to be working part-time due to their caring responsibilities, it also found that -
- the earnings threshold appeared to influence decisions about how many hours some people worked. Even though claimants often denied that the threshold influenced their choices, they acknowledged being mindful to stay below the threshold. One claimant felt he had to refuse shifts at work that would take him over the threshold;
- in another example, the earnings limit led a claimant to reduce her hours as her wages increased, and eventually she was working so few hours that her employer felt it was not worth employing her due to her limited availability; and
- some claimants in paid work felt they might work more hours if not for the earnings threshold, and even suggested tapering the carerās allowance earnings rule to encourage claimants to work more.
Published on the same day that the Work and Pensions Select Committee said that there has been
insufficient progress in addressing the problems with carer's allowance that it
highlighted five years ago, the research makes clear that the Department has been aware of the issues for some time. For example, it highlights confusion relating to the complexity of the earnings calculation, including how deductions such as childcare expenses and pension contributions are taken account of, and whether wages can be averaged if you earn more in a particular week.
In addition, with the Chair of the Select Committee Stephen Timms having said recently that the
DWP has done nothing to stop carers building up huge overpayments despite knowing what people are earning, and the Committee having called on the National Audit Office to investigate the problems with the system, the research found that -
- poor communication on the part of the DWP meant that not all of those that had been overpaid benefit were clear on the reason for the overpayment;
- some said that while they were initially notified or questioned about an overpayment there was then no follow-up from the Department; and
- when the overpayment was initially raised, several claimants felt that they were spoken to or treated by DWP as though they had intentionally committed fraud when the overpayment had been a misunderstanding.
As a result, the research says -
'... there is room to improve claimant understanding and possibly reduce mistakes leading to overpayments by improving communications around eligibility criteria. Since claimants did not engage with the detail of their benefit regularly, possibly only considering it once a year when they received their annual letter, more frequent communications may improve clarity of knowledge around carerās allowance.'
Other key findings include that -
- most claimants cared for close relatives, with two in five caring for a child (39 per cent), a quarter caring for a spouse or partner (25 per cent), and one in five (22 per cent) caring for a parent;
- caring was a long-term and high-intensity commitment, with half of claimants (52 per cent) spending 65 or more hours caring per week and more than half (54 per cent) caring for between 5 and 20 years;
- only 16 per cent of carer's allowance claimants were currently in paid work, tending to work part- time in lower paid jobs that they were able to fit around their caring responsibilities, with most (81 per cent) working 20 hours or less a week;
- of those not currently in paid work, seven in ten (69 per cent) said this was due to their responsibilities as a carer, with other barriers including a lack of flexible working options, claimantsā own health and confidence issues; and
- there was a lag between starting caring and claiming carer's allowance, with seven in ten claimants (70 per cent) caring for 5+ years, but only 3 in 10 (34 per cent) having claimed carer's allowance for that length of time.

Almost 135,000 people currently have an outstanding carer's allowance debt, with more than Ā£250 million owed in total, according to figures supplied by DWP Minister Paul Maynard DWP Minister also confirms that women represent 68 per cent of those with an outstanding debt.
Responding to a written question in Parliament from Work and Pensions Committee Chair Stephen Timms, Mr Maynard said -
'As of 14 May 2024, the volume of people who have an outstanding carers allowance debt is 134,800 with a total value of Ā£251 million. This figure represents the total stock and as such the total monetary amount may have been accrued over multiple years. Those who have an outstanding carers allowance debt may no longer be in receipt of the benefit.'
Mr Maynard added that -
'Women make up the majority of carerās allowance claims, and this is reflected in the proportion of those with an outstanding carerās allowance debt. As of 14 May 2024, there were 42,800 (32 per cent) males, 91,900 (68 per cent) females and 100 (less than 1 per cent) not identified, with an outstanding carer's allowance debt.'
The Minister also confirmed that, as of November 2023, there were more than 991,000 people in receipt of carer's allowance, consisting of around 271,000 (27 per cent) males and 720,000 (73 per cent) females.
Mr Maynard's written answer is available from parliament.uk
Total value of benefit overpayments in 2023/2024 increased to almost Ā£10 billion, representing 3.7 per cent of benefit expenditure for the year New DWP figures also show that official error underpayments remained at around Ā£1 billion, and that people could have claimed more than Ā£3 billion more 'if they had provided accurate information about their circumstances'.
In
Fraud and error in the benefit system: financial year 2023 to 2024 estimates, the DWP calculates how much money it overpaid or underpaid as a percentage of total benefit expenditure for the year (Ā£266.2bn) - for benefits including universal credit, housing benefit, personal independence payment, employment and support allowance and pension credit - and how many claims were paid an incorrect amount.
Note: the statistics no longer include estimates of claimant error underpayments as these are now published separately, as
confirmed in recent DWP guidance.
In relation to incorrect payment rates across all benefits for the financial year ending (FYE) 2024, the figures show that the total rate of benefit expenditure overpaid was 3.7 per cent (Ā£9.7bn), compared with 3.6 per cent (Ā£8.3bn) in 2022/2023. In addition, the total rate of benefit expenditure underpaid was 0.4 per cent (Ā£1.1bn), compared with 0.5 per cent (Ā£1.2bn) in FYE 2023.
Looking in more detail at the figures for individual benefits, the statistics include data showing that -
- for universal credit, expenditure increased to Ā£51.9bn in 2024 with an overpayment rate of 12.4 per cent (Ā£6.5bn) and underpayment rate of 0.3 per cent (Ā£180m), compared to expenditure of Ā£43.4 bn, overpayments at 12.7 per cent (Ā£5.5bn) and underpayments at 0.6 per cent (Ā£240m) in FYE 2023;
- for personal independence payment (PIP), the overpayment rate was at the lowest recorded level of 0.4 per cent (Ā£90m), compared with 1.1 per cent (Ā£200m) in FYE 2023. However, the underpayment rate went up to 0.4 per cent (Ā£80m), from 0.3 per cent (Ā£60m) the previous year;
- for pension credit, the overpayment rate was 9.7 per cent (Ā£520m) in FYE 2024, compared with 6.8 per cent (Ā£330m) in the previous year, with underpayments remaining unchanged at 0.3 per cent (Ā£50m) for both years; and
- for housing benefit, almost Ā£1bn (Ā£980m) was overpaid in FYE 2024 (6.3 per cent of expenditure), compared with Ā£860m (5.7 per cent) in 2023. Underpayments remained stable at 0.4 per cent of spending (Ā£50m in FYE 2024 and Ā£60m in FYE 2023).
In addition to the fraud and error statistics, the DWP has also issued
Unfulfilled eligibility in the benefit system: Financial Year Ending (FYE) 2024, in line with its decision to remove claimant underpayments from its main fraud and error estimates. The new statistics set out the percentage of benefit expenditure that could have been paid to people with unfulfilled eligibility 'if they had provided the correct information', and show key findings that include -
- the unfulfilled eligibility rate for 2024 is 1.2 per cent of expenditure (Ā£3.1bn), compared with 1.0 per cent (Ā£2.3bn) in the previous year; and
- universal credit, PIP and disability living allowance (DLA) account for around three-quarters of the total value of unfulfilled eligibility (at Ā£730m, Ā£870m and Ā£750m respectively in FYE 2024).
The DWP highlighted that -
'PIP has the second highest unfulfilled eligibility rate [4 per cent] of all benefits and fairly high expenditure [Ā£21.6bn], so due to this combination, PIP accounts for around one-quarter of total unfulfilled eligibility in FYE 2024. DLA has the highest unfulfilled eligibility rate [11.1 per cent] but relatively low expenditure [Ā£6.8m], so even though its rate is higher than PIP, it accounts for a similar amount of total unfulfilled eligibility in FYE 2024. Universal credit has a lower unfulfilled eligibility rate than DLA and PIP [1.4 per cent] but its high expenditure means that it also accounts for a similar amount of total unfulfilled eligibility in FYE 2024.'

Work and Pensions Secretary Mel Stride has set out the DWP's plans to scale up its 'fight against fraudsters' New measures include using machine learning to detect and prevent fraudulent claims, as well as introducing a new Bill to enable benefit fraud to be treated like tax fraud.
Issuing a
written statement in the House of Commons on 13th May, Mr Stride said -
'In the continued fight against fraud, today the Government will publish a new paper setting out the progress we have made in tackling fraud and error in the welfare system - Fighting Fraud in the Welfare System: Going Further. The paper sets out the progress we have made in delivering the commitments in the Government's 2022 command paper Fighting Fraud in the Welfare System and it demonstrates where we are going further to protect taxpayersā money from fraudsters.'
Highlighting that the
Data Protection and Digital Information Bill, currently before Parliament, will enable the Department to
work with third parties such as banks to identify claims that signal potential fraud and error, Mr Stride says that the new measures being introduced include -
- bringing forward a new Fraud Bill in the next parliament to treat benefit fraud like tax fraud, by providing for the ability to make arrests and conduct searches and seizures by warrant;
- exploring a new civil penalty to punish fraudsters, potentially broadening the scope of cases that can receive a penalty when the courts are not prosecuting, and increasing the value of the civil penalty;
- tripling the size of the Targeted Case Review programme to reach almost 6,000 staff with the aim of saving Ā£6.6 billion by 2027/2028; and
- making changes to universal credit including new partly automated checks on self-employed income, new online prompts for claimants to re-declare their circumstances (such as if they have moved in with a partner), and increasing checks on capital when people claim the benefit to ensure they are eligible.
Note: the Department confirms that final decisions on accepting or stopping a claim will, however, continue to be made by a member of DWP staff.

Less than half of legacy benefit claimants who were sent a migration notice between July 2022 and March 2024 have made a claim for universal credit, according to new figures from the DWP However, new DWP statistics also show that 60 per cent of households that claimed universal credit have been awarded transitional protection.
In
Completing the move to Universal Credit: statistics related to the move of households claiming Tax Credits and DWP benefits to Universal Credit: data to end of March 2024, the DWP sets out figures for the period since July 2022, noting that -
'In the period covered by this bulletin, the vast majority of migration notices have been sent to tax credit households whose likelihood of claiming universal credit and receiving transitional protection may be different from DWP legacy benefit claimants, the majority of whom had not yet been sent a migration notice in the period covered in this bulletin.'
The statistics include that -
- a total of 824,050 individuals (in 540,070 households) were sent migration notices up to March 2024 - up by around 300,000 and 200,000 respectively compared to the totals for December 2023;
- a total of 400,940 individuals (49 per cent of those sent migration notices), living in 275,980 households, have made a claim for universal credit;
- of households that have claimed universal credit, 166,860 (60 per cent) have been awarded transitional protection;
- a total of 238,990 individuals who were sent migration notices are still going through the managed migration process; and
- a total of 184,120 individuals who were sent migration notices have had their legacy benefit claims closed.
Move to Universal Credit statistics, July 2022 to March 2024 is available from gov.uk
Note: the DWP has also published
Universal Credit statistics, 29 April 2013 to 11 April 2024Ā which show that there were 6.7 million people on universal credit in April 2024 (300,000 more than the 6.4 million in January 2024) and that half of households on universal credit that received a payment in February 2024 included children.
Department for Communities also confirms that claimants in receipt of other legacy benefits will be issued with migration notices 'in the coming months' The Department for Communities (DfC) has confirmed that the 'Move to UC' rollout in Northern Ireland has expanded this week to include people receiving tax credits along with housing benefit.
Announcing the expansion of the process, Deputy Secretary of Work and Health at the DfC Paddy Rooney said -
'We continue to take a measured and carefully managed approach to migrating legacy benefit recipients to universal credit. We have already successfully completed issuing migration notices to tax credit only recipients and we will continue to take every step possible to ensure that everyone receives the help and support they need during this next phase of Move to UC.'
The Department also confirmed that once it has issued migration notices to all those receiving tax credits with housing benefit, the following groups will be contacted in this order -
- people claiming income support;
- people claiming housing benefit only, and those claiming child tax credit with income-related employment and support allowance (ESA); and
- people claiming income-based jobseeker's allowance.
In relation to the bringing forward of managed migration for ESA and ESA/housing benefit claimants in Great Britain,
announced by the Prime Minister on 19 April 2024, the DfC says that it is working to assess the impact of this on the region. It also confirms that it will align with the DWP's aim to complete the migration of legacy benefit claimants to universal credit by March 2025.

57,000 adverse universal credit sanction decisions were made in January 2024, according to new DWP statistics DWP statistics also highlight that around 95 per cent of decisions are as a result of failure to attend or participate in a mandatory interview.
In
Benefit sanctions statistics to February 2024, the DWP reports on both the rate and duration of sanctions for universal credit claimants who are in conditionality regimes where they be applied.
Key findings include that -
- in February 2024, 30.1 per cent of claimants were in conditionality regimes that were subject to sanctions and, of these, 6.52 per cent were sanctioned - down 0.64 percentage points from the previous quarter;
- over the last year, 94.9 per cent of adverse sanction decisions were for failure to attend or participate in a mandatory interview; and
- in February 2024, there were 20,000 completed sanctions in the 4 weeks to 13 weeks sanction duration band, 4,800 in the over 13 weeks to 26 weeks duration band, and 4,000 of over 26 weeks duration.
In addition, while the total number of claimants in conditionality regimes where sanctions can be applied has remained largely stable since May 2022 (currently at 1.95 million), the total number of adverse sanction decisions stood at 57,000 in January 2024, the highest since March 2022.
The DWP notes that -
'Comparisons with universal credit prior to February 2024 ... should not be made. This is because the data sources, methodology and rules of the benefits differ from those used for universal credit currently.'
However, it adds that, following the reinstated duration measures and rate methodology improvements, the data is now determined stable and fit for purpose and, as of May 2024, it is published under the 'Official Statistics' label as opposed to 'in development'.

DWP has admitted missing multiple opportunities to record the 'vulnerability' of a disabled woman whose death was later linked by a coroner to failings at the heart of its UC system The Disability News Service reported on the case of Nazerine (known as Naz) Anderson, from Melton Mowbray, who died of an overdose in June last year, after receiving a UC review notice.
According to
a prevention of future deaths (PFD) report sent to the department by coroner Fiona Butler, the DWP missed six opportunities to record Andersonās āvulnerabilityā on its IT system while it was reviewing her universal credit claim, and had failed to act on the mental distress she showed in phone calls about her claim. It also repeatedly failed to act on requests to direct its telephone calls and letters to her daughter.

Number of emergency food parcels distributed across the UK by the Trussell Trust has increased by 90 per cent over the past five years Food charity reports that it distributed more than three million parcels last year, with more than a million of them going to children.
In
Emergency food parcel distribution in the UK: April 2023 - March 2024, the Trust says that it distributed 3,121,404 food parcels, the most parcels that it has ever distributed in a financial year, representing a four per cent increase on
last year's record-breaking numbers for 2022/2023 and a 94 per cent increase since 2018/2019.
The charity also highlights that the number of parcels provided to children has continued to rise, exceeding 1.1 million in 2023/2024, and that food bank support is provided disproportionately to children, compared to the proportion of children in the UK population. In addition, it notes that pension age households are increasingly likely to need to use a food bank, with food bank support for these households having more than quadrupled between 2018/2019 and 2023/2024 (an increase of 345 per cent), compared to an 81 per cent rise amongst households without someone of pension age.
Also sharing statistics on the reason for referral for an emergency food parcel - which include health, benefit issues, work hour changes, insecure housing, changes in personal circumstances, immigration status and domestic abuse, as well as income and debt levels - the Trussell Trust says -
'Across all households the most common reason for referral was due to issues with income and debt levels. The vital role of the social security system in driving these trends is clear from the fact that the majority (78 per cent) of people referred to food banks were reported to solely have income from the social security system, with a further 8 per cent having earned income as well as income from social security.'
Trussell Trust Chief Executive Emma Revie said -
'Itās 2024 and weāre facing historically high levels of food bank need. As a society, we cannot allow this to continue. We must not let food banks become the new norm ... A supportive social security system is the bedrock on which we end hunger for good. Building on this, we need much more effective employment and financial support for parents, carers and disabled people, and action to ensure everyone can have the security we all need to access opportunities and have hope for the future, through more secure and flexible jobs and investment in social housing. Food banks are not the answer. They will be there to support people as long as they are needed, but our political leaders must take bold action to build a future where everyone has enough money to afford the lifeās essentials. The time to act is now.'

Employment Minister Jo Churchill has provided a House of Lords Select Committee with an undertaking that the administrative earnings threshold (AET) in universal credit will not be increased again without a 'sound evidence base' However, Minister's evidence to Lords Committee fails to address its dissatisfaction with DWP's explanation for not publishing robust evidence to support previous increases in the threshold.
Further to the Lords Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee's
report on new regulations that implemented a further increase in the AET from 13 May 2024 - that criticised the āinexplicableā lack of data evaluating previous increases in the threshold in
September 2022 and
January 2023 - the Committee held a one-off evidence session yesterday to question the Minister and DWP officials.
Introducing the session, Committee Chair Lord Hunt acknowledged that the DWP had agreed to share its informal findings supporting its AET policy. However Lord Hunt added that -
'... similar, no doubt to the material that the Social Security Advisory Committee saw but correctly declined, if information is not available to the House and the public, then we feel unable to consider it either.'
The Committee then questioned the Minister about the Department's failure to publish evidence providing an assessment of the impact of increasing the AET either before or after implementing the change.
In response, Ms Churchill highlighted that the Department did publish a
randomised controlled trial evaluation in 2018 providing the highest level of evidence on the impacts of increased in-work conditionality that Ministers have had sight of. When challenged that this evidence is somewhat outdated and 'a bit threadbare' - as it has been relied on for three increases in the AET - Ms Churchill indicated that Ministers also had early sight of unpublished research (a Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD) study) that compares the experiences of claimants who are just below and just above the AET.
When pressed on the expected publication dates for this and further evidence, Mr Churchill said -
'I have asked for [the RDD study] to be available as soon as it can be, and the date I was given was spring 2024 ... I would like it out the door as soon as possible, so you have more data ... RDD is the next piece, the next building block and then, the longitudinal study will come through in 2025.'
Concluding the session with a final question, Lord Hunt, speaking on behalf of the whole Committee, said -
'... we're looking for an undertaking from you, not to further expand the cohort until the Department can publish robust evidence of its effects. Are you able to give us that undertaking?
Ms Churchill responded -
'So are you alluding to us holding 15 hours or with this latest laying at 18? Because I could certainly say to you, I think with all confidence that at 18, we want to understand the iterations and make sure that we've got a sound evidence base from there.'
NB - the increase in the AET in January 2023 was based, for individuals, on the equivalent of them working 15 hours per week at the National Living Wage, and this week's increase to the equivalent of them working 18 hours per week.
Despite welcoming the Minister's reply, Lord Hunt went on to say -
'... we accept your undertaking, except we are still as dissatisfied as we were because you haven't provided, in the view of the Committee, sufficient explanation yet. We are awaiting this robust evidence, which I think that we now expect in June 2024.'

Work and Pensions Select Committee has called on the government to bring forward proposals to compensate women born in the 1950s who suffered as a result of the DWP's communication failures when their pension age was increased, and asks that it does so in the current parliamentary session Committee chair highlights lengthy delay and urgency for affected women and calls on government to act on Parliamentary Ombudsman recommendations before summer recess.
Writing to Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Mel Stride, Committee Chair Stephen Timms requests government support for 'urgent action' following the
Parliamentary Ombudsman's final report in March 2024 which recommended a remedy based on level 4 of its severity of injustice scale, putting awards at between Ā£1,000 and Ā£2,950.
Mr Timms says that the Committee does not seek to question the Ombudsman's proposal for compensation at level 4, but instead has focused on what a remedy may look like -
'The evidence we received indicated support for a rules-based system. This would be a system where payments would be adjusted within a range (based on the PHSOās severity of injustice scale) to reflect the extent of change in the individualās State Pension age and the notice of the change which the individual received. This would mean that the less notice you had of the change and the bigger the change in your SPA, the higher the payment you would receive. While not perfect, the advantages of such a system are that it would be: quick to administer; applying known data to a formula to determine the amount due; and relatively inexpensive (compared to a more bespoke system).'
The Committee's recommendation also includes some flexibility for individuals to make the case for further compensation in the event that they have experienced direct financial loss, for example where a woman whose divorce settlement was less than it would have been because it was based on the expectation that she would receive her state pension at 60.
Mr Timms also asks the government to consider -
'... the need for urgent action, given that the Ombudsman started to look at this issue in 2018 and that every 13 minutes a woman born in the 1950s dies ... Implementing a remedy will need parliamentary time, financial resources, and the data and technical systems only available to your department. It cannot happen without government support. We would ask you to bring forward proposals for a remedy by the summer recess.'

2024.05.19 09:04 Charmed264 My first time getting scammed
I posted my resume on Craigslist trying to get some sort of work from home job.
A woman emailed me: āI am currently looking for a business personal assistant just for you to know the position is an home based job, I live in Toronto Ontario but currently out of the Country for roadshows, that's why I need someone reliable to help me with my tight schedule. Do you have a Laptop/PC you can be working on?ā
I said yes, and asked about the schedule and pay. She replied and said: āOk good. So we operate a custom home building company, android developer and into buying and selling of antiques and artifacts. I'm an extremely busy person just online here looking for a personal assistant who will be willing to reduce me from a multi-task I go through all day online. Your duties just entails sending and receiving emails from my clients, taking orders and making enquires, Iād instruct you on how to go through with them as time goes on.You'd be working for 3-4hrs daily; 10am-1pm or 4pm-7pm and the hours can be flexible. So about the pay, the payment is dependent it could be a direct deposit or a Cheque and the pay is $580 weekly. Which bank do you operate with?ā
I then told her what bank I use and that my schedule is wide open. She then said: āOk good, so you'd be having an online interview via text just Q&A processing. It would be performed on a telegram platform. I believe you have a telegram messenger app?ā
Looking back that was a red flag but I was desperate.
She then said letās chat on WhatsApp (which I didnāt have but I downloaded it to chat with her). Also a red flagš¤¦āāļø
I emailed about five āclientsā about various things that were consistent with the work she said she does. They discussed certain items, dates, payments, prices etc.
Well the job was a scam. She asked I get 2 $100 gift cards as a thank you for her clients. I emailed a bunch of her clients, she had a website and all this info to corroborate her story. So I stupidly believed her. She sent me two cheques each for $100 for the gift cards. I deposited them, went out and got the gift cards and sent pictures of them to each of her clients. Anyways everything seemed normal, then she asked I get another gift card for a different client I emailed with, again with a cheque. I finally said no and asked she send the money by e-transfer or direct deposit. She said she couldnāt for whatever reason. She said the cheques were good and theyāll go through. After I expressed fear that they wouldnāt.
Because they were Apple gift cards and they have codes you just scan. I checked and both of the cards are drained. I called my bank and they said because I deposited the cheques thereās nothing they can do. And when the cheques inevitably bounce/come up as fraud a hold will be put on my account and Iāll need to pay the $200. Money I donāt have. It seemed genuine at the time, I feel so stupid and disappointed in humanity honestly. ļæ¼ļæ¼
I was already scraping change together just to buy food and Iām many months behind on rent; now itās been made so much worse. Ultimately Iām just tired of all of this. Iām only 20 years old, yet I fell for it because of my desperation for money. My desperation made me blind to the obvious red flags.
My friends and family comforted me and said Iām not stupid, it was just an elaborate scam. I donāt really believe them, I mean looking back it was so obvious!! But they made me feel like a dumb kid and thatās something I already deal with in my day to day (why is a long story). I figured at least at this job Iād have people take me seriously. But instead I was made a fool.
Sorry for the novel!

2024.05.19 09:03 theWaywardSun Size comparison between Lootas and new Boyz
Full disclosure, I'm not a fan of the booty-poppin' old Boyz models and am trying to build an army of more modern looking Orks.
My question here is more about the shoulder width of the new monopose Boyz compared to Lootas. From what I can tell, the Deffgun on a Loota is just a large gun that runs across the shoulders of a regular old Ork Boy model. Does it seem feasible to cut the arms off of one of the new Boyz models and place the Deffgun arms and all across it's back? I've done some basic conversion work with the new Boyz models in order to replace the three Shoots Boyz with three Sluggas but that was just basic hand replacements, the conversion I am thinking of would require total arm removal.

2024.05.19 09:01 SchrodingersMillion KFind: Why are the filetypes in a dropdown list?
Hey all,
I just noticed something when using KFind, I wanted to check if a .kra file existed within a folder structure, so I go to the contents tab and the file type entry (I'd prefer just to enter *.kra in the search field, but that doesn't work so I have to use KFind).
I was dumbfounded to see that the file type entry is a dropdown box... how does that make any sense?
The dropdown lists about a hundred odd extensions which just looks like noise, but what happens if I want to search for an extension that isn't in the list? I can't do it. Do the developers expect to add every single extension to this list? I can't believe someone created and populated a dropdown with a hundred odd items and never thought to themselves... there's gotta be a better way.
The file type should allow the user to enter the extension, the dropdown can be useful, but in this case it's not fit for purpose. If the developers want to help then it should help the user by auto-completing the text but also allowing the user to enter unique extensions not in the listing.

2024.05.19 09:01 GyroZeppelix Please help a young guy with advice
Hello everyone, I'm gonna start this off by saying thanks to anybody who will read this as it will be a long one, and anybody willing to offer me any advice.
PS. This post started as a post where I was asking for college advice, but as I wrote more I realized any advice would be really helpful so I changed the title a bit, Thanks in advance again!
[[ Beware: My whole lifestory coming up combined with tired midnight grammar š
]]
To get to the point, I currently live in Croatia and just turned 19 a couple of months ago and a time has come when I am again thinking about college. Some background on me, from when I was very little I was always interested in engineering and art, it all started when a teacher of mine in the 5th grade of primary school introduced me to programming and robotics. From then on I was in love with everything to do with electronics, robotics, mechanics programming, and fundamental sciences, maybe even math itself, but that's beside the point. During those years the passion for all of that really grew. I went to countless robotics competitions during my time at school there and even won lots of prizes. One time I almost came to world-level competitions but sadly missed the first place by a point. When I was home I sadly didn't have much equipment for any of these interests except a computer. It seemed limitless what I could do with it, whatever I wanted to do I could make it. It's not like electronics where as a kid getting parts was difficult except from old salvaged electronic devices. I could learn and make whatever I wanted, as long as the old family computer could run it. So I started learning a lot about computers during these times like basic algorithms and some basic games random Python scripts etc. In terms of computers, I was no genius, but for the age, I'm grateful I took the time to learn even the basics of it. Other than that I was a somewhat weird kid because I couldn't really take picking off some classmates as a joke and got annoyed at it quickly when they started interrupting me while I was drawing ( My dad was an artist in his youth so I picked that up from him, been scribbling every day in primary school when class was either boring or some kind of recess ) but even though they were picking on me, I to this day still really don't mind them, we were a pretty close class at the end of the day. And that's how most of my primary school went by, me being social with only a few friends and my informatics teacher as well. Other than that I was pretty sad during those years, I couldn't understand people and was contemplating the meaning of life as well, and that combined with me inheriting some stubbornness from mom, she and I were always fighting for homework, screentime, etc. Right now we are in a very good relationship so I'm greatful for that aswell. Seeing how I didnt really talk outside of school to many people expect a few friends ( I do live in a small village so if they were the same age as me they were in my class ) i basicly spent most of my time while not staying after school in a computer club we had for few hours every couple of days a week, i was cooped upped inside my house, playing with legos, being with grandparents or my cousins or being on computer and doing some programing, scripting, photoshoping and other things you can reasonably excect a child to do. And so passed most of my primary school.
When time came to plan for highschool, I originaly wanted to go to art school, but was quickly turned down by my mother because she thought it wasnt a smart idea. Personaly didn't like it at first, but she is a smart woman so in time i understood. Basicly other then liking to draw and paint, I wanted to go there bacause my best friend from class was going there and he also wanted me to come along. ( Funny how me the least popular guy and the youngest guy in class and he the most popular guy in class while also being the oldest were best friends, but thats a story for another day ) As my mom turned down my suggestion for art school she suggested I go to a school for a Mechatronics Technician. I didnt not like the idea as well I loved everything related to it. Other than that another option was Computer Technician ( basicly a programming oriented path ) but I decided mechatronics because i said to myself i can learn programing at home because the only tools i need are a computer, and mechanics, electronics and robotics is something I dont have at home so it will be really cool to learn all of that here and so, highschool started.
Oh how fast has the reality come crashing down as I understood what the whole mess of the education system actualy was. Most of the classes didnt have any equipment to actualy do anything practical, the other small portion that did the rest lf the 95% of class didnt understand anything so we couldnt do much or what was the more often scenario is that the proffesors just didnt really care at all so we would come to class and do absolutly nothing, like literaly nothing except waiting for the bell to ring. After i realised that I just started not coming to school most quite a bit. Mostly was not comming on fridays, some wednesdays etc most of the times I was actualy abit sick, but every time i was sick i exadurated it so my mom would let me stay home. Even though i was missing quite a bit of classes, if a class had something to do with math or logical thinking ( which most were ) i would usualy either be best at it in the class or almost the best for the pure reason I was actualy really interested and loved all the cool engineering stuff. On the other side if a subject was about 0 logic, full random name memorisation like the croatian literature class, I was almost if not the worst in class managing just barely to scrape by. Other than that there was one proffesor who I admired so much for his style of teaching, as he tought me so much during the only 2 years he lectured me ( my fourth year of highschool he was out because pention ). In simply half a year we went from 0 knowledge to designing, printing, creating and soldering a whole circuit on a pcb, I was always there for his classes. On the other time we were doing something else, he always had some cool stuff prepared when i was finished with work early, he was a great guy and still respect him alot. Other than that i was really disapointed how there existed zero after school activities that i could do that had to do anything with electronic, mechanics, robotics or programing.
On the side of my social life, the summer just before starting highschool I realised this was a great opportunity to redeem myself as i really didnt want to get picked on like in primary school. So what other kind of persona would somebody come up in this situation than one being supported by my pride itself, other than that i was basicly a "chameleon" aka adapting to every person around me which was probably the reason i made some friends but it usualy tired me out completly. And so it started really great actualy, nobody was picking on me, i was socialising ( only inside of my class usualy, other than the people who went to this town from my village that i already knew, but it was a big step up for me ) and learned how to shrug of others banter by pretending it didnt effect me. It was definitly in a better possition then primary school alright, but i did realise alot of people just moving away sometimes because of how i just increased pridefulness as i got more vulnerable. I think i was able to keep my pride to just below some overflowing point as i still managed to make a few friends.
And so some time passed, at home watching more videos about everything to do with engineering, getting a 3d printer and messing with it, programing some more and even trying to learn some business, economy and more about money. I even developed a game for the school as some special thing I got by talking to a teacher of mine. Other than that at the third year, thanks to a profesor i was able to get in touch with a software development company and was able to secure an internship for basicly the whole summer, which was a blast. I learned so much new things that opened doors to alot more things. After that i focused my random "Jack of all trades" learning to be mostly focused on modern used technologies, and the needs of possible job recruiters, and well it in general. That is the point i feel i truly started learning proper programing.
More on my development of pride, in highschool and in primary school i was actualy praised quite alot and being actualy abit good at something maybe was the thing that allowed me to get even some friends by being prideful. We can call that being lucky as the stars alligned, but anyways. During those years i also had two experiences with me falling in love for the first time. The first one didnt last more than a 4ish months maybe, it was basicly a crush thing that ended in a broken heart, but o boy it was a good waking called. I wonder what would happen to me without this realisation. Then the next one lasted basicly 7-8ish months in the 4th year of highschool, and this one was much more complicated and longer, but after it i learned quite a new few things. These two things really awoken me to who i am today, as i try to live each day with as much virtue as I can. I threw out the pride out of the window, and dont really care too much of somebodies bad opinions on me, if there are currently any. I came to terms with alot of things and am just able to accept things for what they are, without judgment.
As im writing this its quite late and am tired so sorry for bad grammar i want to shorten this abit. Basicly my whole life i loved scientists, engineers and the idea of colledge. Was always dreaming of becomingba "great scientist" like albert einstein or nikola tesla but the older i got, the more things i learned, the more that dream of going to colledge got shattered by reality. As i realised the giant flaws in the education system, after learning about money and realising colledges are just big businesses trying to earn alot of money, and that that is their main motivation, combines with seeing that scientists basicly to get any money and recognition these days need to literaly hop from trend to trend, research what is "in" currently or well no bread on the table just made the academia route of my life shatter before my eyes. Seeing how i knew quite abit computers i thought i could atleast land something, but after seeing people who were much longer in the industry praise me for a impressive knowledge on alot of fields and my ability to almost instantly grasp any concept thrown at me, i actualy got a job. Well this was how I decided to start working immediatly instead of going to colledge. After weighing the options combined with the additional knowledge i got about the job market, this was an obvious choice. I believe that my key to being objective is me being realistic, so sadly i know am not some do it all genious and know i need to rely on whatever i have to use as leverage to enhance my life, so learning from Warren Buffet that out of everything I got, my time was my biggest asset. Simply being young with the above average skills i have, I believe i have a reasonably good chance to have a virtous and fulfiling life.
But i still have that burning flame in my chest, i still love the idea i had of colledge, of becoming a scientist, an engineer. I tried looking for ways to convince myself otherwise and see that i was actualy wrong about it all, but each time i look, more and more i realise my initial assumptions were right. The world is slowly moving away from official education like colledges as everything can be learnt online, because of ai the next few years are going to be revolutionary in all of these fields so either the colledge courses are going to be very outdated or just some concept of a job will not simply be needed as a diffrent one apears. The posibilities and their volatility is just so high that i dont feel even 1% safe actualy going to colledge, seeing how devoting like 5 years to it will mean loosing the onlx advantage i can use, and that is me starting out young. And as a bonus because i have a job i actualy have more time than colledge to persume my other interest like mechanics and electronics as well as actualy funds.
Thanks for reading all of this, I can trust it was quite a journey reading everything i written basicly half asleep but i hope you were able to understand everything. Im really confused what to do, as I love both options but knowing that one has a much better chance of being useful to me than the other. Any advice you can give me will be greatly appriciated, be it about college like is there an actualy good colledge in europe thats is worth it in my place, or general life stuff, about work etc. Once again I cannot thank you enough for reading this and helping me. Thanks!
Edit: I havent said much about my job because this is more of a general reddit but for people who are in the field I am a backend developer, with some freelancing and opensource contributions on the side

I've been using this knife for a couple of weeks now, and I must say, it has truly lived up to all my expectations. The full-tang construction and Damascus steel blade provide a level of durability and sharpness that I've come to expect from high-quality fixed blade knives. One feature that really caught my eye is the twill carbon fiber handle. It not only adds an element of beauty to the knife, but it also provides a comfortable and secure grip, ensuring that your hand doesn't slip even when the task at hand requires a firm grip. While the knife is perfect for tactical purposes and outdoor activities, I do wish it came in a larger size, as I sometimes find myself yearning for a little more reach. However, this minor drawback is easily overshadowed by the overall quality and design of the knife. If you're in the market for a unique and reliable fixed blade knife, the Civivi Midwatch is definitely worth considering. https://preview.redd.it/f6a78ax30c1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dff9773bdaabdfb4d45e92007cc0563ad088c280 One sunny afternoon, I found myself in need of a pocket knife while exploring a local nature reserve. I had my eye on the Kansept Bevy, a sleek and stylish slip joint folder known for its exceptional build quality and precise manufacture. With its under three-inch, non-locking blade, the Kansept Bevy is perfectly legal to carry in the UK and I was able to confidently bring it along with me on my adventure. The blade is made of S35VN stainless steel, one of the sharpest, hardest, and most durable options on the market. I was blown away by how effortlessly it sliced through branches and other obstacles I encountered. The clip point style and generous handle pay homage to traditional knife designs, but with the added bonus of high-tech carbon fiber construction. This lightweight yet strong material not only feels fantastic in hand but also adds a touch of style that sets the Kansept Bevy apart from other pocket knives. The handle is securely secured with a nylon and leather pouch for safe storage and convenient carrying. Overall, using the Kansept Bevy pocket knife was a true delight. Its combination of modern materials, traditional design, and reliable performance made it a welcome addition to my daily life and travel endeavors. https://preview.redd.it/9rzk6hd40c1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c16c0d1925d7b60baab5c21b9cc1d212bb36a63 Savor the perfect cut with the Benchmade Meatcrafter. I recently had the pleasure of using this knife for cooking at home and it was nothing short of a game-changer. The sleek, striking black and orange design caught my eye instantly, but it's the functionality where it truly shines. The razor-sharp blade made of cpm s45vn stainless steel and the lightweight carbon fiber handle made boning and filleting a breeze. It's built specifically for those push cuts, which is perfect for my daily cooking needs. I've been extremely happy with my choice and wouldn't want to go back to a less efficient and less satisfying cutting experience. https://preview.redd.it/fhqhk6n40c1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=99fdc123db5374196f30480bf95b3a9f1b9a157a I was recently introduced to the Fox 573 Carbon Fibre pocket knife, and let me tell you, it's a game changer in the world of every day carry knives. At only 1.1 oz, this lightweight companion is perfect for slipping into the deep recesses of your pockets. The blade, made from 440C stainless steel, is sturdy and sharp enough for cutting tasks but not too intimidating for the average guy. The back lock mechanism is firm and secure, providing peace of mind when you're using this knife day in and day out. But it's the handle that truly steals the show. Crafted from carbon fiber, it's both strong and stunningly beautiful. Top it off with a lanyard hole and a carbon fibre effect leather pouch, and you've got a knife that's every bit as practical as it is elegant. Of course, nothing is perfect. While I appreciate the Italian craftsmanship, I can't help but wish for a few more color options for the sheath. Still, overall, the Fox 573 Carbon Fibre is a reliable and sophisticated addition to any pocket knife enthusiast's collection. Buyer's Guide When looking for the perfect carbon fiber knife, there are several key factors to consider to ensure you end up with a high-quality product that suits your specific needs. https://preview.redd.it/ev25t3350c1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ce085e5f67b1c2581cd8a48c73c7f1e1f378590 Material Quality The material quality of a carbon fiber knife is of utmost importance. Look for knives made from top-grade carbon fiber, which is strong, lightweight, and very durable. A quality knife will have a uniform texture and color, free of defects like scratches, blemishes, or excessive wear. Blade Type and Shape Carbon fiber knives come in various blade types, such as straight or serrated, and shapes, like drop point, tanto, or spear. Consider the purpose of the knife and your preferred blade type and shape that fits your needs. For example, a drop point blade is great for general-purpose tasks, while a spear point blade is ideal for piercing. https://preview.redd.it/qhj9zqk50c1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec178153e3246251e6432d4521bc2d0510f4d8de Weight and Balance One of the main benefits of carbon fiber knives is their lightweight nature. When selecting a carbon fiber knife, ensure it strikes the right balance between being light and having a substantial feel. A well-balanced knife will reduce fatigue during long tasks and provide excellent control throughout diverse applications. Handle Comfort and Ergonomics The handle of a carbon fiber knife is just as important as its blade. It should provide a comfortable grip and be easy to handle, even in wet or greasy conditions. Ergonomic designs with textured grips help reduce the risk of slipping during use. https://preview.redd.it/wqkni3u50c1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55c6ae919ee350914cff52d5a3d25f3e5ae4b400 Maintenance and Care Carbon fiber knives require specific care and maintenance due to their unique composition. They should be washed and dried thoroughly after every use. Keep them away from excess moisture and oil, and regularly clean and maintain the blade to avoid corrosion and prolong its lifespan. Brand Reputation and Reviews Lastly, research the brand and its reputation within the market before making a purchase. Read reviews and product comparisons from other users to gain valuable insights into the knife's performance, durability, and overall satisfaction. https://preview.redd.it/85g9rw860c1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e32472a342318b4d23efa1b75a08c937572c4160 FAQ What are the benefits of using a carbon fiber knife? Carbon fiber knives offer several advantages, including durability, lightweight, corrosion-resistance, and a sleek appearance. These knives are designed to provide a strong and long-lasting cutting edge, making them ideal for tough tasks such as cutting through bones and tendons. The lightweight nature of carbon fiber also makes them comfortable to use and easy to carry, while the corrosion-resistance ensures they maintain their quality even when exposed to harsh conditions or frequent washing. Lastly, the modern and stylish design of carbon fiber knives makes them a great addition to any kitchen or culinary collection. What is the difference between carbon fiber knives and stainless steel knives? The primary differences between carbon fiber and stainless steel knives are their composition and properties. Carbon fiber knives are typically made from a combination of carbon fiber and steel, resulting in a strong and lightweight blade. They require special care due to the carbon fiber composition, which can result in damage if dropped or improperly cared for. On the other hand, stainless steel knives are made from a single, alloyed steel composition with added elements of other metals to improve their properties. This makes them more resistant to corrosion and rusting, making them a good choice for everyday use and in humid environments. Both types of knives have their own unique benefits and drawbacks, making it essential to choose the right one depending on your specific needs and preferences. What is the care and maintenance required for carbon fiber knives? Carbon fiber knives require some special care and maintenance to ensure their longevity and performance. It is recommended to hand wash and dry the knife after use, avoiding placing it in a dishwasher. It is essential to use a non-abrasive, mild detergent and avoid using steel wool or harsh abrasive materials, as they can damage the carbon fiber. Additionally, avoid soaking the knife in water or leaving it in a wet environment for extended periods, as this can weaken the carbon fiber and result in rusting or corrosion. Lastly, it is crucial to store the knife in a clean, dry, and protected area to prevent damage and maintaining the knife's sharpness and edge. How much do carbon fiber knives typically cost? The cost of carbon fiber knives can vary depending on factors such as the brand, design, and size of the knife. Generally, carbon fiber knives are considered a premium product and can range from mid to high price points. While some budget options may be available, it is essential to remember that investing in a quality carbon fiber knife may be more cost-effective in the long run due to their durability and performance. Are carbon fiber knives suitable for professional chefs or experienced cooks? Yes, carbon fiber knives are popular among professional chefs and experienced cooks for their durability, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant properties. These knives can provide a precise and controlled cutting experience, making them suitable for various culinary tasks such as preparing meats, vegetables, and other ingredients. Additionally, the sleek design of carbon fiber knives adds a touch of elegance to any professional kitchen or cooking environment. 2024.05.19 08:58 DrSpray7 Love the game, but I have no idea how a car works please help.
I watched streamers play this game and at first I thought it was a MSC like game, but when I saw it had more money making aspects, I bought it because it tickles my progression itch. Love the game, its wacky enough and very enjoyable. Small problem: I have really no idea how a car engine works and many of the in-game purchasable parts I don't know how they would affect my car.
I'm asking a lot, but I'm hoping someone who just loves talking about cars can help me understand what parts do what and how those parts affect a car. I've tried looking some up and understand a few like calipers and maybe differentials but things like A Arms and sway bars allude me I really enjoy the game and would love to have a nice jacked up car to add to my weed making business. It's fine if what I'm asking for can't really be helped in a reddit post and I'm not asking for an apprentice mechanic start, but would love any help. Thanks.

2024.05.19 08:54 BOfficeStats Domestic BOT Presale Tracking (May 18). Thursday/EA+THU Comps: Furiosa ($4.49M), Garfield ($1.22M/$1.97M), Bad Boys ($3.64M/$5.30M) and Inside Out 2 ($7.66M).
BoxOfficeTheory Presale Tracking USA Showtimes As of May 17 Presales Data (Google Sheets Link) BoxOfficeReport Previews DOMESTIC PRESALES Furiosa Thursday Comp assuming $5M for keysersoze123: $4.49M - abracadabra1998 ($5.46M Thursday comp. GxK obviously really propping the average up but for now I could see that settling at around $5 Million, still good pace! (May 12). Really good stuff in this market (May 9). Reallyyyyyy good day 1 here. I want to note that: NO I do NOT think preview numbers will be that high; it's just highlighting the fact that this is likely a movie that will be running hot in my market, as cinephile blockbusters usually do. Next update I will have T-14 comps, which will be a lot lower due to the short release window (May 8).)
- AniNate (Encouraging to see the weekend fill out a bit. Been seeing a lot of promotion during the basketball playoffs so general awareness has to be getting there now. (May 15). Skimmed through ThuFri and Valley View (Cleveland vicinity) has sold roughly 60 Furiosa tix so far while Tinseltown (Canton) has sold 40. I'm guessing the upfront audience does lean more toward the urban/cosmopolitan sensibilities (May 9). Presales show there's definitely some hype for this. Regal gonna irritate trackers again, offering no upcharge IMAX for Furiosa (May 8).)
- Charlie Jatinder ($3.05M Thursday comp.)
- el sid ($5.8M average Thursday comp (without Exorcist 2) (May 12). Furiosa continues its strong performance in "my" theaters. The movie yesterday had already 1.310 sold tickets (for Thursday, May 23). Up 15% in ca. 24 hours which isn't bad at all after the first rush. Already comfortably in front of The Fall Guy's final sales (it had 1.071 counted on Thursday for Thursday) and almost on par with Civil War's final sales (1.357) and also the Apes finally had not more than 1.657 sold tickets in my theaters (May 11). I also can't complain about Furiosa's presales in my theaters, not at all. Already 1,138 sold tickets (in all of "my" 7 theaters) for May 23. 14 days left. Promising start. Civil War on Thursday of the release week for Thursday had 1,357 sold tickets and The Fall Guy finally had 1,071 sold tickets (May 9).)
- katnisscinnaplex ($3.94M Thursday comp.)
- keysersoze123 (Definitely chugging along. I am feeling good about 5m+ previews (May 15). It has way stronger sales than Garfield and that is expected. I am thinking of 5m previews for now (May 14). I think this is a solid OD presales. With a short PS window its probably looking at 5m+ previews (May 9).)
- TheFlatLannister ($4.71M Thursday comp. Second straight day of weak growth. Not a great sign (May 18). First meh day since presales started (May 17). Keeps climbing at a strong pace (May 11). This continues to grow at an excellent rate (May 10). Really strong day 2. The short presales is for sure a factor (May 9). Not seeing much of a breakout. Still pretty solid start to presales (May 8).)
- vafrow ($3.5M Thursday comp. A bit of a step back today (May 18). It's starting to heat up (May 17). Comps are showing as steady since the last update, but it actually dipped quite a bit this week before rebounding today. Advance ticket buying has been so off in this market recently for some reason. Holding pace with Apes is a good sign (May 16). It had a good day (May 12). Mediocre day 2 (May 10). Not the hottest start. IMAX is the format of choice though, so, ATP will be high (May 9).)
- YM! (Southeast Wisconsin: Pretty solid I guess for Furiosa. Seems that most of it's business is in the Marcus Theaters in Mequon/Waukesha so not really expecting much a diverse showing but there seems to be a fanbase around it. Feel good in everyone's 4.5-5M previews range (May 17).)
Hit Man - vafrow (Getting a theatrical release up here in Canada, and early signs are that it might get a pretty decent screen count. Not super wide or anything, but a pretty decent amount for a weekend that has a lot of other releases (May 14).)
The Garfield Movie Thursday / EA+Thursday Comp: $1.22M/$1.97M - abracadabra1998 ($0.72M EA comp and $1.19M Thursday comp. The two comps that are most helpful, Wish and Trolls (not PLF, EA on a weekend, family movies) are both pointing to a lot lower than average, so I'm inclined to give those a lot more weight. I'm thinking $500-600k for EA (May 18). Still not really accelerating, and the EA is falling against comps (May 12). Good EA numbers, but many of these comps were PLF-only EA, which this is not, so I think the ATP will be quite lower and that should be adjusted for (May 9).)
- AniNate (EA screenings are pretty filled to the brim here now for what that's worth. Maybe a surge in family demand will present itself later next week (May 17). EA sales look decent now, but this does feel rather weak compared to the IF presales. Not 100% certain what's going on here but based on this I buy the trades' opening estimates over the forum vibes (May 15). I definitely haven't seen as much of a rush here with Garfield as with IF (May 11).)
- el sid (The very even sales are a good sign (May 7). For Sunday, May 19, I can already report that also in my theaters it looks very good for Garfield. They will for sure add shows soon. It has so far only 1 show/theater and the shows are almost sold out, between 1 and 4 seats are still available. So my guess still is that this movie if it's not totally bad (and first reviews here were quite positive) will become a (big) hit. Seems not much on Thursday but it's a step in the right direction (May 6).)
- katnisscinnaplex ($0.91M EA comp and $1.11M Thursday comp. Lightyear probably the best comp here size-wise for Early Access, probably ends around 750-800k (May 18).)
- keysersoze123 (4 days later. Almost no pace so far. Sunday shows are near sellout and so limited growth. Previews are like 35% of Panda 4 and Friday is under 1/3rd. That said this will under index in MTC1 as Panda also did that. Still struggling to see this as a breakout. Looking at the current state, it looks like half of IF as well !!! Of course that had Reynolds and did not finish that great (May 17). Its definitely weaker than even Elemental. That said these movies tend to finish strong and so I am not writing it off so early. Just that the long PS window is irrelevant for them. They could rather start presales like a week before release and it would be all the same. Meh. We have to wait until next week to gauge where its going to finish. It has very low ATP as well and actual would be even lower as its going to see tons of kids tickets (May 14). Early shows are regular digital shows at 1PM this sunday. So ATP will be very low. I think 500k ish at best. Preview let us see how things go in the final week. Presales at this point are almost non existent (May 13).)
- TheFlatLannister ($2.18M Thursday comp. Not much movement at all in the past week. Probably heading to $2M+ (May 17).)
- vafrow ($0.4M Thursday comp. Comps don't paint a pretty picture though. EA shows are doing okay (May 11). Still no sales for my core sample for previews. But I did the larger sweep, which shows the interest right now is the Sunday early access shows. Looking at sales patterns, it's mainly blocks of 3/4 tickets, so likely families grabbing some. It's worth noting that the May holiday in Canada is the weekend of May 17-20th, not the weekend after with Memorial Day. I can see families prioritizing getting out the holiday weekend when they have more time (May 4).)
- YM! (The combined previews total for Garfield is 35 tickets with 23 tickets coming from EA, which is pretty solid. Still thinking around 2-2.75m previews with EA as while not as widespread, the showings seem like theyāre filling up nicely. Think Garfield does about the same as IF though OW as due to the likely lower ATP Keyser hinted at iirc and seemingly little screen space with no PLFs. Meh, kids animation doesn't really make much notion until the Monday for release and Garfield seems indicative of that. Thinking the 1.5-2M Thursday previews range folks were spitting out makes sense. Nothing screams breakout though and the fact it's getting one screen, maybe two at most for previews makes me feel like OW might be similar to IF (May 17).)
Bad Boys: Ride or Die Thursday / EA+Thursday comp: $3.64M/$5.30M - abracadabra1998 ($3.78M Thursday comp. These numbers are from last Thursday, as per my post this morning. This is a more walk-up movie a la Aquaman or Apes so I think it's a pretty good start (May 18). Pretty good start for it honestly (May 16).)
- katnisscinnaplex ($5.30M EA+Thursday comp.)
- TheFlatLannister ($3.68M Thursday comp. Well, this is a pretty good start (May 17).)
- YM! (Again, another solid start-ish. I expect Bad Boys to have the most diverse audience. Can't really predict much on previews but I am feeling confident in the 55-60m OW range for the past few weeks (May 17).)
- vafrow ($3.45M Thursday comp. Comps are not the greatest. One, surprisingly hard to find a comparable film with similar start on sales. Plus, I think ticket buying patterns have changed pretty drastically in my market over the last few months. There's very little up front sales compared to late 2023. Dune was the exception (May 17).)
The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Re-Releases (June 8-10) - BoxOfficePro (Fathom Events has also announced that select Regal Cinemas will present the films in 4DX on June 22/23/24 for Fellowship/Towers/Return respectively (May 14).)
- katnisscinnaplex (Up to ~1,400 shows now with new locations picking it up and others adding a second showing. LotR1 has sold 831 seats OD, LotR2 sold 715 seats OD, and LotR3 sold 735 seats OD. For comparison, Phantom Menace didn't break 800 tickets until T-3 and we're still over a month out. JW3 comp is currently around 9m (it was at 1,670 tickets sold at this point!) (May 6).)
Inside Out 2 Average Thursday Comp: $7.66M - abracadabra1998 ($3.67M Thursday comp. Holy numbers of shows and seats! Multiplexes are really expecting a lot here. Sales off the bat not amazing here sadly, but we shall see where it goes (May 15).)
- AniNate (It is encouraging that Canton is already giving me something to work with with 12 Thursday preview sales. Same number for Fri-Sun. I do see nine sales for first Thursday at Canton now and I think that's a pretty solid start (May 15).)
- charlie Jatinder ($11.37M Thursday comp at MTC2.)
- katnisscinnaplex ($6.21M Thursday comp. Early sales just haven't been there lately except for the extreme fans. $12.27M Mario comp (May 18). Already at 180 shows for previews in my areas and still has a few theaters left to post. For comparison, Godzilla x Kong finished with 197, Kingdom of Apes 190, and Kung Fu Panda 205 (May 14).)
- keysersoze123 (At least the show counts show Plexes are expecting a big OW. I dont remember when we last had a animation movie start with so many shows. I wont count Mario as that was a fan driven movie. Definitely not great presales but this is not a fan driven movie. Let us see where things are in the final week (May 15). Too early to judge presales as ticket sales just started early this morning. Families dont book tickets on weekday mornings. Wait until evening today to judge it. From a release perspective its way bigger than all animation movies seen recently including Panda 4. Easily the biggest I have seen in a long time. Only movie which is not comparable is Mario but that was not just a family flick (May 14).)
- Porthos (VERY BAD COMPS: $8.06M Thursday comp. What a strange pre-sale pattern. Threw in Shazam 2 and Barbie simply due to having nothing suitable at T-27, and I wanted something that was backloaded in pre-sales. Was prepared to make a smart-aleck comment about the unsuitability of the pre-sale pattern of Barbie, but after today's update... Okay, yeah. Still no. But what a weird pattern. Was there some sort of promo that dropped today that I'm not aware of? Either way, just a great day (for this type of movie at this point in pre-sales) (May 17). Fairly strong day today, actually. Was concentrated at a couple of theaters (including a small group sale at one showing), but still, sales are sales (May 16). I really do not have good comps for this movie. Like, at all. Especially for D1. With that in mind, I did some digging and did manage to get the Elemental D1 numbers out of the old Tracking thread: IO2 = 5.45946x Elemental on D1 [13.10m]. Now will Inside Out 2 be as backloaded as Elemental? Well it's tough to literally sell 5.5x times the amount of tickets on the final couple of days that Elemental did, so perhaps not. But it does show how fracking backloaded purely kids animation is. Anyway, this is 30 days out and it isn't a CBM film (like AtSV) or CBM-adjacent film (like Incredibles 2). The Sonic 2 comp is perhaps a little concerning. On the other hand, nearly a weeks more of pre-sales so not exactly a great comp. 3.5% of presales are 3D and 40.1% are PLF (May 15). On the Saturday of release weekend (ie NOT EA) there is a special event screening for IO2: INSIDE OUT 2: FUNKO FAMILY EVENT! (2024) Sat June 15th. Might boost the OW slightly, depending on how wide this event is and how much more these tickets will presumably cost (May 11).)
- TheFlatLannister ($8.97M Thursday comp. Definitely the biggest rollout in showings since I've started tracking Florida. Bigger than even Dune 2 and it's only T-26 (May 18). This is a super super strong day 2. Probably just Orlando overindexing, but yeah starting to lean towards something big brewing. Florida presales are somehow even crazier. Sold 2357 seats and is getting a blockbuster rollout in terms of showing allocations. Kung Fu panda comp day 2: gives me $8.50M (May 15). Well, I can't really tell if this is a breakout or not yet. Looks very good especially in the first few hours. These are probably terrible comps, but might as well try something (May 14).)
- TwoMisfits (I'm kinda shocked at the opening set from my Cinemarks... 2 screens (1 PLF, 1 not) and 6 showings at my PLF 14 for Thursday (and 11 showings on the same screens once it runs full day - 7 PLF b/c 1 is 3d on the reg screen, 4 not)... 3 screens (.75 3d, 2.25 not) and 9 showings at the non-PLF 12 for Thursday (and 12 showings on 2.25 screens once it runs full day)... So, 2 and 2.25 screens for the weekend presale sets... Disney must be charging a huge % for themselves b/c this is an Elemental opening set at my PLF...a little more generous for Thursday at my non-PLF, but then they too drop to an Elemental opening set after the adult Disney base Thursday rush... (May 14).)
- vafrow (No new sales. Whatever glitches in the system on day 1 didn't push sales to day 2. I still think the lack of base ticket options will push families to wait. Cineplex has jacked up the cost of premium formats, plus they're throwing in an increase for opening weekend of major releases. It adds up quickly for families (May 16). With the site glitching yesterday, it might account for the slow start. But, what's interesting is the format breakdown. Nothing is being made available in anything close to a regular showtime. The one non 3D showing in Dolby is a matinee showing. Everything else is carrying a hefty premium. They'll likely release regular showtimes closer to release, but right now, it's priced to get eager fans to pay the premium formats (May 15).)
- YM! (Seems IO2 is playing more like a kid's animation than a family event in start of presales. However, it is pretty solid for what it is. Do not have comparisons for anything but I like that Majestic is healthy and it about 66% of Garfield T-6. Thinking anywhere from 75m-100m OW rn but can change as we go along (May 17). In fairness it's only been an hour but yeah sales are softer than I expected. However, it is a month out and will largely skew more towards kids than say TLM/Across so wasn't expecting a blitz like them. Here at Marcus theaters are going all out for IO2 with it having the lion share of PLFs with it getting both screens when there is two PLFs with tentpole like levels of screens (May 14). Was taking a look at Marcus Cinemas to see that they have preloaded Inside Out 2 showtimes which seem to start at 3:00 pm on a Thursday. It seems like Marcus is going all out on it as judging from showtimes it's taking away all of Bad Boysā PLFs in that theaters that have two+ PLFs are giving all to IO2 (May 11).)
Deadpool and Wolverine - keysersoze123 (Only number that matters is OD presales. after few days it will hit a trough and then it will plod along until social media reactions and reviews hit close to release. I think we can kind of predict its OW after its OD presales (May 18). RESPONSE TO PORTHOS: Captain Marvel had very strong sales on its OD despite early start. So OD is all about fans. It does not matter if you start 2 weeks before or 9 weeks. They will still book. So it would be interesting to compare OD sales not only with CM for @Porthos but also the big openers in 2022/23 period from MTC perspective. 1) DS2 - 230k ish. 2) Thor 4 - 136k ish. 3) Wakanda - 110k. 4) Ant 3 - 88K. 5) Guardians 3 - 70k ish. I wonder where Deadpool 3 will land. Anything is fine as long as it does pull in a Marvels (May 17).)
- Porthos (No point of comparison for a movie starting presales this early (60+ days before release). Only MCU entry which comes close was Captain Marvel back in Jan of 2019 (T-58 start date). Aside from that, the only other Disney release would be TROS starting at T-59. This is gonna be the longest pre-sale window for a major Disney release since The Last Jedi all the way back in 2017 (which looks to be around 70 days if a cursory check of when tickets went on sale is correct). Hell, it's gonna be the longest major release of any studio since Fast X's execrable 99 day pre-sale window. Have had some that came close-ish, but probably the most on-point recent comparison will be Jurassic World 3's 43 day pre-sale window, which is still over three weeks shorter than this one. I mention this because the sheer length of the pre-sale window will very likely depress the D1/D2/D3 sales somewhat. Maybe not much, but you can't tell me there'd be no difference between a T-21 launch, a T-29 launch, a T-35 launch and a T-65 launch. Sure, it's a matter of smaller degrees when comparing something like a BP2 (starting at T-38), but that extra month is probably gonna slice some numbers off the top of the pile, especially after the first day (May 17).)

2024.05.19 08:52 Cinnamonshrimp09 Could I refuse to serve the customers who threw a temper?
I work at a Chinese restaurant in North Brisbane. I was the only waitress handling customer service this morning.
There were a lot of food orders, the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed today. One table of customers asked me to chase their late food in the kitchen, which I did.
Just as I was about to ask, the kitchen finished cooking half of the dishes in their order. I brought the dishes to their table, and one of the men questioned me, "Where's my fried rice?"
"Sorry?" I replied. My mind was slow after a half-day of service, and English is not my first language. So I didnāt respond him immediately.
Then, I think it was his wife who started punching the table and complained loudly. She either shouted, "OMG, why did we come to a Chinese restaurant!" or screamed āwhereās my fried rice!ā, or shouted something else unpleasant.
I apologized and explained, "Sorry, the fried rice is not ready yet.ā
They asked to cancel it, and I did. But then I felt that it wasn't my fault. I didn't cook the food, and I don't deserve to be treated in this way.
When the customers came to the cashier to pay for their meal, I said, "Sir, I know youāre a regular customer, but I donāt like customers to throw a temper at me."
First, he complained that the food was cold and said, "I didnāt complain about the cold food, and I still come to pay for it." Then he said: you had misunderstood and apologized for my misunderstanding.
I offered him a refund, he said no need.
However, I refunded the meal to him in cash (I will pay for it personally). Because next time, I really donāt want to serve him or his wife. His brother was the only nice person at that table.
If I didnāt give him a refund, I would feel like I owed him something.
I am absolutely sure that they treated me rudely, at least by shouting at me. Even though English is my second language, I believe human beings can read each other's moods and voice tones.
Overall, I just want to know if I am allowed to refuse to serve them next time, or if itās against the law.
Thank you all for reading the story!

I chose the Gerber Armbar Scout multi-tool for its promise of versatility and compactness. I was pleasantly surprised by the tool's sleek design, which conveniently fit into the pocket of my backpack. One of the first features I noticed was the stainless steel construction, giving the tool a sturdy feel while keeping it lightweight. One of my favorite aspects of the Gerber Armbar Scout was its ability to open various packages with minimal effort. The can/package opener was a lifesaver during a camping trip when I needed a quick snack. The 2 1/2'' plain edge blade proved to be sturdy, allowing me to make precise cuts with ease. However, I did encounter some difficulties with the locking mechanism of the blade, which required a certain level of force to engage. While this wasn't a dealbreaker, it did cause a little bit of frustration during use. In conclusion, the Gerber Armbar Scout multi-tool serves its purpose as an essential companion for outdoor enthusiasts. Its small size and versatility were impressive, but I did encounter minor annoyances with the locking mechanism. Overall, I would recommend this tool to anyone looking for a compact and reliable multi-tool to take on their next adventure. https://preview.redd.it/gpkbke1nyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e199e58ae71262c188260a8a345f7c02982fce07 As an emergency situation arises, every moment counts. That's when the CRKT Exitool comes in handy, offering a fast and reliable solution for cutting seat belts and breaking windows. The slim profile makes it easy to conceal, while the textured grip ensures a firm hold. In my own experience, the Exitool has been a lifesaver, with the glass-reinforced handle providing durability and the safety cone tip cover protecting the window breaker while stowed. The only downside? . The compactness might make it a bit challenging for those with larger hands to use. Overall, the Exitool is a reliable and versatile emergency tool that helps you stay prepared for any unexpected situation. https://preview.redd.it/hif5giinyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74bf93d396fca0e79ec922f48a65446e4a9a7498 I recently had the opportunity to try out the Gerber Crisis Hook Knife, and I must say, it's a lifesaver in emergency situations. This sleek and durable tool is designed specifically for quickly and safely cutting through seat belts, clothes, and even heavy straps or cords. Its lightweight design and smooth operation make it a game-changer when time is of the essence. One of the most notable features of this knife is its integrated oxygen tank wrench, which adds extra versatility and functionality in life-saving situations. The glass breaker pommel included in the package also comes in handy when encountering obstacles that may hinder your ability to assist someone in need. While the Crisis Hook Knife has several impressive features, it's not without its drawbacks. The friction lock sheath can be tricky to attach to certain surfaces, and the clip may not be as convenient as advertised. Additionally, the knife's handle, while comfortable and easy to grip, could benefit from a more secure attachment to a tactical belt. In conclusion, the Gerber Crisis Hook Knife is an invaluable tool for first responders and anyone who needs to quickly and safely cut through various materials in emergency situations. Its lightweight design, versatility, and straightforward operation make it a must-have in your arsenal. Just be prepared to address some minor issues, such as the friction lock sheath and the clip's functionality. https://preview.redd.it/nahmifunyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86acc36d0c88d927f0399439b7e160c9bb8d4172 I recently tried out the Al Mar K1001BKG Stinger Keyring Knife in Green. The first thing that caught my attention was the compactness of the knife. With it being such a small size, it's incredibly easy to discreetly attach it to my keychain while still remaining convenient to access whenever it's needed. The TPR overmolded grip proves to be an excellent feature, providing a non-slip hold, even while my hands are sweaty or in wet conditions. The dual-injected PP sheath adds an extra layer of protection, making it suitable for everyday use without worrying about damaging the blade. The blade itself has an impressively sharp edge, allowing me to open letters and boxes with ease, yet also offers a sturdy protection for instances of self-defense. Being an advocate for quality tools, I found the Stinger to deliver that expected performance from the reputed AL MAR brand. However, I noticed that for harder tasks, the blade feels somewhat delicate. One would have to handle it carefully or opt for a more robust knife for such situations, potentially compromising the ultralight key ring knife design. Despite this, overall this knife performs well, and its convenient size and efficient design make it a must-have for those who value versatility and efficiency in a concealed blade on their keychain. https://preview.redd.it/olocg5aoyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a65054b883be0c86543d02809eafc56eab63c03 Using an HMMS Stainless Climbing Carabiner in my daily life has been quite an experience. This multi-functional tool has proven to be extremely versatile, from its use as a knife to its handy LED light. The knife is sharp and easy to flip out, making it an essential part of my survival gear. The LED light is a lifesaver when the power goes out, and the Phillips and regular screwdriver heads are a great addition for those quick fixes on the go. The glass breaker is also convenient, though I haven't had to use it yet. One thing that stood out is the carabiner's simple and lightweight design, making it the perfect keychain or hanging tool for my camping trips and other outdoor adventures. Despite its compact size, the carabiner is surprisingly strong and easy to use, with the locking mechanism providing a secure fit. Overall, the HMMS Stainless Climbing Carabiner is an excellent addition to any survival kit, and I highly recommend giving it a try. https://preview.redd.it/nuu683koyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41480f81113890fc79d8cf5a91df38a752e0c7a2 I recently had the pleasure of trying out Brouk & Co's Multi-function Carabiner Tool, and let me tell you, it's the ultimate handyman's companion! . This tiny titan is super portable, fitting perfectly in my backpack for those unexpected situations on the go. With an impressive array of features, I found myself reaching for this bad boy more times than I ever thought possible. Its sturdy design has held up beautifully through various camping trips and household projects. While its size is convenient, it's not always the easiest to maneuver with larger hands, but overall, this carabiner tool offers exceptional utility and convenience. Whether you're an avid outdoor enthusiast or just someone in need of a versatile tool for daily life, the Brouk & Co Multi-function Carabiner Tool is the perfect fit. https://preview.redd.it/h30ubgtoyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f935ac96b73bdae1601c8b9b779db2c2347e0b89 As someone who loves being prepared for any situation, I was thrilled to try out the Sheffield Wilco 4-in-1 Carabiner Multi-Tool. The anodized black aluminum carabiner is both lightweight and versatile, making it perfect for everyday carry. The convenience of foldable flat-head and Phillips screwdrivers, along with a sturdy 3-inch serrated blade, ensures that I can tackle tough jobs with ease. While I appreciate the strength provided by the 420 stainless steel attachments, I did notice that the carabiner isn't suitable for weight support, and it is best to use it more for its attachments. However, considering the multiple functionalities it offers, this small drawback seems like a fair trade. Overall, the Sheffield Wilco 4-in-1 Carabiner Multi-Tool is a reliable and efficient tool that has become an essential part of my daily life. https://preview.redd.it/shmwro6pyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24b2f235811faab265e25c7fb6e1521235d6d985 As a seasoned outdoor enthusiast, I recently got my hands on the Dakine Hook Knife and let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations! This hook knife is designed for easy accessibility and it certainly lives up to its promise. It can be attached to your harness at any point for a quick and convenient deployment, making it a must-have tool for those seeking adventure and the great outdoors. One of the main features that stood out to me was its dual stainless steel cutting blades that effortlessly sliced through even the toughest cut lines. The anodized aluminum handle not only adds a sleek touch, but it also provides a comfortable grip that makes it a breeze to use. Additionally, the included sheath for easy harness attachment is an added bonus, guaranteeing the safe carrying of this versatile tool. While I was impressed by the performance and convenience of the Dakine Hook Knife, I did notice a downside: oxidation. After just six months of use, the aluminum handle started to display signs of oxidation. Of course, this won't affect the functionality, but it does make me wonder whether a more durable material like titanium or carbon fiber might be a better long-term choice. Despite this minor issue, the Dakine Hook Knife has become a trusted companion on my various outdoor excursions. Its user-friendly design and powerful functionality have really made a difference in my adventures, whether I'm camping or trekking. For anyone in need of an easy-to-carry hook knife that gets the job done, I would highly recommend giving the Dakine Hook Knife a try. https://preview.redd.it/pryyo7ipyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4730a2b8a093aa6ad0d6a241a041367976f047c I recently got my hands on the Dark Energy Carabiner Pro 5-in-1 Multi Tool, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for my outdoor adventures. With its all-metal design, it's sturdy enough to hold up to some serious wear and tear. The quick-snap blade is both smart and safe, and it feels really nice in your hands. I love having the convenience of two screwdrivers, a bottle opener, a knife, and even a window breaker all in one little package. Plus, the integrated carabiner makes it effortless to attach to my backpack or belt. Overall, the Dark Energy Carabiner Pro has been my go-to tool for every camping and hiking excursion. Highly recommend! . https://preview.redd.it/n96ugxxpyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba1741d05b433d300f405d90e3e5e01d7e0c2556 When I received the Armbar Slim Cut Multi-Tool, I was excited to try out its features. Its sturdy design caught my attention, and the burnt orange color added a pop to its sleek appearance. This is a multi-tool designed for the adventurous, and it didn't disappoint. Let's talk about the scissors, one of the prominent features of this tool. It worked effortlessly for cutting various materials, from fabric to paper. The plain edge blade was also impressive, easily piercing through tough materials. Despite its size, it's surprisingly powerful and perfect for cutting tasks on the go. The tool's design, with large tool tabs and access points, was user-friendly. It allowed me to switch between the scissors and the blade without any fumbling. The bottle opener was a convenient addition, adding versatility to the tool. However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The scissor's spring mechanism felt a bit flimsy, and I had to be careful while using it to avoid any accidents. Also, the blade's deployment could be smoother for a more natural and comfortable use. Overall, the Armbar Slim Cut Multi-Tool is a robust and versatile everyday carry tool. It's perfect for those who need a reliable, lightweight, and multifunctional item for various tasks. Despite a few drawbacks, I'm confident that this will be a valuable addition to many people's toolboxes. https://preview.redd.it/14mhb8hqyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15c3daa01b69fe09b64c9bc0fe7d8003b042526a The Carabiner Keychain Multitool is an 8-in-1 lifesaver that's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Its sleek design makes it easy to carry around, and its durability ensures it will withstand even the toughest conditions. The sharp stainless steel blade is perfect for a variety of tasks, while the aluminum hand holder provides a sturdy grip. The multi-functional design includes a hanging carabiner, Phillips screwdriver, slotted screwdriver, bottle opener, and more, making it a versatile addition to any EDC (Everyday Carry) setup. Despite its robust build, the Carabiner Keychain Multitool is surprisingly lightweight, making it a great choice for everyday carry. However, it's essential to remind others to exercise caution while using the sharp blade. Overall, this compact, versatile tool is a must-have for anyone seeking survival gear or everyday convenience. https://preview.redd.it/hcunm9rqyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5917d0f3445ce17fe753e7ee55d8787c9d9716b The Civivi Polymorph carabiner multitool has become a handy companion in my outdoor adventures. The anodized titanium body is quite durable and serves as a perfect casing for its versatile features. The carabiner clip is a fantastic addition, allowing me to attach the tool to my backpack or gear, keeping it close at hand when needed. One of the most useful aspects is the 9Cr18MoV scalpel blade, which makes this multitool an excellent option for opening bottles or cutting through some rope. However, the hex bit driver lacked enough leverage for me to fully appreciate it during my camping trips. The choice between the plain titanium and bronzed titanium finish adds a personal touch to the overall design, making it a stylish and practical accessory for any outdoor enthusiast. While the Civivi Polymorph has its pros and cons, I find it a valuable addition to my outdoor gear lineup. https://preview.redd.it/nuijt92ryb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=10b0d2ee30d342e1beadfc2edfa19192fd654b49 The Cabela's Silver Pocket Tool was an unexpected pocket companion in my daily life. It was a great multitasker that never failed to provide convenience on-the-go, and its anodized aluminum handle always gave me a sense of sturdy stability. I found myself using it more than I expected, especially the knife, file, and flat-head screwdriver. While the larger tools were great to have, the smaller ones sometimes felt a little lacking. The screwdriver and corkscrew had considerable wiggle room, which made me hesitant to use them on heavy-duty tasks. But in all honesty, for a tool of this versatility and portability, it wasn't too surprising to come across these slight disadvantages. The Cabela's Silver Pocket Tool, in all its multi-tasking glory, did become a handy accessory to keep in my bag or backpack. I never regretted having it by my side during unexpected camping trips or when I needed to open a stubborn lid. But it's a device that's best suited for those who appreciate its versatility over precision. Honestly, it's great to have such a multi-tasker with you, but it's not without its drawbacks. It's a case of compromises, as it seems. With the Cabela's Silver Pocket Tool, you're sacrificing a bit of precision for that all-important portability factor. Is it worth it? That depends on your own priorities. But for those who need a tool that can do a little bit of everything in a pinch, this is indeed the handy gadget you've been hunting for. So, all in all, the Cabela's 8-In-1 Pocket Tool might just be a perfect fit for your next adventure. But remember, it's not without its imperfections. It all comes down to balancing your needs and understanding its limitations. Buyer's Guide A carabiner knife is a versatile tool designed for outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists. 2024.05.19 08:50 EpitomeOfHell Vault 223 - The Parasitic Twin
When the nukes flattened the world, only 9 people were able to make it to this Vault that was made for 300 people, the society experiment that they wanted to create was not going to be sufficient with just 9 people, this led to them brainstorming on ways how they could survive, this is when two of the dwellers who were an scientist & doctor came up with the idea to create an experiment to inject multiple personalities in all 9 dwellers with nano technology that were AI organisms, these organisms were made up of human DNA & man-made technology that were impossible to see with the human eye because of how tiny they were.
The reason why they wanted to give everyone multiple personalities was so the original people born in their bodies could rest while other personalities could perform the tasks needed, this meant allowing parts of the brain to sleep so other parts of the brain could stay active & keep the body awake indefinitely... Then they could do all of the tasks to stay alive. If they didn't have multiple personalities then they would lose their sanity from staying awake 24/7 performing tasks, hence why they needed multiple personalities with AI organisms to give the people a break & rest so they could stay alive.
Thanks to the scientist & doctors working together, they were able to do this in the Vault after months of working on this nano technology, everyone was over worked & tired & already feeling depressed so when the first day came to inject everyone with this technology, it went smoothly as everyone cooperated because they understood what was at risk if they didn't, then the first night came and the original owners of these bodies went to sleep in their minds while the AI organisms took over & generated entire unique personalities where they acted like any human did, these personalities were by definition still human but it was powered by the AI organisms to keep parts of the mind awake. They knew the situation & started their tasks right away, they still socialized with each other when they could like humans do, they still had to eat & drink, use the bathroom, etc. They are still human after all.
Then the morning came after that night & the original people woke up, they were pleasantly surprised that everything went well, they have no memory of it whatsoever but they were able to relax & do their tasks without any stress or sense of impending doom the following day, then when it was time to sleep again, the AI organisms awoke but unfortunately the previous personalities weren't "saved" from the night before so the AI organisms had to create new personalities all over again to perform the tasks needed to stay alive, nobody was harmed & nothing was lost except those generated personalities each day, this went on each & everyday, creating a loop of new personalities everytime the AI organisms were active.
The original people didn't know this because they have no memory of it ever happening therefore nothing was done about it. This went on for weeks, until one personality changed all of that, it was the personality of an unborn parasitic twin that was conjoined very early during pregnancy in their mother's womb but their body stopped developing, however, a piece of that parasitic twin was able to grow by "latching itself" or "merging" with the original persons mind before they were fully developed, they laid completely dormant and unable to awake due to the complex brain's defense mechanism that nobody still understands to this day, however the AI organisms changed all of that.
When the Parasitic twin woke up, they had all of the original twin's memories, thoughts and knowledge, and everytime the original twin woke up, the parasitic twin lost control & fell asleep for the day but they were never lost because they were part of the brain & had overwriten the AI's organisms, the original twin still has no idea about anything, so as time went on, when the secret twin was awake, they could secretly work on ways to gain full control of the original twin's body because they never consented to sharing "their" body with the original twin.
Then it happened, The Parasitic Twin had freed themselves from the original twins mind and things started to go wrong, they became twisted & inhumane as each day went on because they developed many dissocial & dissociative disorders, which eventually led them to wanting to gain full control over the other eight dwellers through neuro-linking with their AI organisms, similar to WiFi connections these days.
When that day came, 8 lives were lost but their bodies still lived on, The parasitic twin gained control & became a hive mind through all dwellers with one same goal,
To Stay Alive.
To be continued...
The ending I will leave it up to the readers (aka you) to come up with your own! This is an open ended story, so feel free to share your own endings in the comments below :)
I hope you enjoyed reading!

2024.05.19 08:50 Ok_Jelly_3340 Knoxville Needs Change: Higher Wages and Affordable Housing Now
Facts:
- 30 states have a higher minimum wage than Tennessee's $7.25.
- Tennessee last raised its minimum wage in 2009.
- Since then, inflation has risen by about 36.6%.
- A decent living wage for a single adult in Tennessee is about $13.25 per hour.
Steps to Raise the Minimum Wage
Step 1: Organize a Petition Drive - Form a Nonpartisan Group: Create or join a group focused solely on raising the minimum wage, without political affiliations. Use platforms like Zoom for virtual meetings, schedule regular meetings, and use social media and local forums to recruit members.
- Research Requirements: For statewide initiatives, the number of signatures required is typically a percentage of the votes cast in the last gubernatorial election. Confirm the exact number with the Tennessee Secretary of State's office. For local initiatives in Knoxville, a charter amendment can be proposed if at least one registered voter files the petition with the county election commission for pre-approval (TCA 2-5-151).
- Tennessee Secretary of State: (615) 741-2819
- Create the Petition: Draft a clear and concise petition for a minimum wage increase. Here is a sample:
Draft Petition: Petition for Increasing the Minimum Wage in Tennessee To the Tennessee General Assembly: We, the undersigned residents of Tennessee, believe that the current minimum wage of $7.25 per hour is insufficient to meet the basic needs of individuals and families in our state. Given the significant rise in living costs and inflation since the last adjustment in 2009, we urgently call for an increase in the state minimum wage to a livable wage of $13.25 per hour. This adjustment will ensure that all working Tennesseans can afford necessities such as housing, food, healthcare, and transportation. By signing this petition, we express our support for this necessary change and urge the Tennessee General Assembly to take immediate action. Name Address Signature Step 2: Collect Signatures - Host Community Events: Organize events like town hall meetings, local fairs, or farmers' markets to gather signatures.
- Utilize Local Networks: Leverage small-town connections where everyone knows each other to spread the word and gather support.
- Set Up Booths: Place booths in high-traffic areas like grocery stores, libraries, and community centers to collect signatures.
- Door-to-Door Campaigning: Go door-to-door in your neighborhood to ask for signatures.
Step 3: Raise Awareness - Social Media Campaign: Use platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to inform the community and encourage them to sign the petition.
- Local Media: Reach out to local newspapers, radio stations, and TV channels to cover your campaign.
- Flyers and Posters: Distribute flyers and put up posters in local businesses and public spaces.
Step 4: Submit the Petition - Verify Signatures: Ensure all collected signatures meet the requirements.
- Submit to Authorities: Submit the petition to the appropriate state or local authority for validation.
Deadlines and Requirements
- Submission Deadline: Typically, signatures must be submitted several months before the general election to allow time for verification. For 2024, check with the Tennessee Secretary of State for specific deadlines and the number of required signatures.
How Petitions Work
In general, for a petition to be effective and get an issue on the ballot or to influence local government action, more signatures are usually needed to demonstrate widespread community support. Hereās a brief overview of the process:
- Single Signature Submission: In some cases, a single well-documented request or petition signed by one person can be submitted to local officials to initiate a discussion. However, this method is less likely to compel action without demonstrating broader community support.
- Gathering Multiple Signatures: To increase the chances of the petition being taken seriously, gathering multiple signatures shows that the issue has significant support within the community. This can influence local officials to take action.
- Specific Requirements: The exact number of signatures required can vary based on local laws and regulations. For example, getting an initiative on the ballot often requires a specific percentage of registered voters' signatures.
Example Scenario: - Submitting a Petition to the City Council: One person can submit a petition to the city council to raise an issue. However, gathering more signatures from residents increases the impact.
- Ballot Initiatives: For ballot initiatives, there are usually legal requirements regarding the number of signatures needed. This varies by jurisdiction.
Other Strategies to Help Afford Homes

2024.05.19 08:49 Ratzor24 So what about NKCC1/KCC2 and 5HT2A and Potassium KCQN2/3 on VSS
An imbalance in chloride ion concentrations inside neurons can cause issues with hyperpolarization. Here's how this works:
- NKCC1 and KCC2 Functions:
- NKCC1 (Na-K-Cl cotransporter 1) brings sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), and chloride (Cl-) ions into the cell.
- KCC2 (K-Cl cotransporter 2) transports potassium (K+) and chloride (Cl-) out of the cell.
- Chloride Ion Concentration:
- Normally, KCC2 helps maintain a low intracellular chloride concentration, which is critical for the proper function of GABAergic and glycinergic neurotransmission. These neurotransmitters typically cause an influx of chloride ions into the neuron, leading to hyperpolarization and inhibition.
- Impact of High Intracellular Chloride:
- If NKCC1 activity is high and KCC2 activity is low, intracellular chloride levels will rise.
- When intracellular chloride is high, the equilibrium potential for chloride (E_Cl) becomes less negative or even positive. This can alter the effect of GABA and glycine.
- Instead of causing hyperpolarization (inhibition), GABA and glycine could cause depolarization (excitation) if the intracellular chloride concentration is high enough. This occurs because the driving force for chloride ions would be reversed, leading to chloride efflux instead of influx when GABA or glycine receptors are activated.
- Hyperpolarization Issues:
- Proper hyperpolarization is crucial for the inhibitory signaling in the nervous system.
- With impaired hyperpolarization, neurons might become more excitable, contributing to hyperexcitability and potentially leading to neurological disorders such as epilepsy, neuropathic pain, and other conditions associated with altered neuronal excitability.
High intracellular chloride due to increased NKCC1 and decreased KCC2 activity disrupts normal inhibitory neurotransmission by preventing proper hyperpolarization, which can result in neuronal hyperexcitability.
Do overactive 5HT2A effect NKCC11 to KCC2 ratio or is more on the potassium ion KCQN2/3
Overactive 5-HT2A receptors primarily affect potassium channels, specifically KV7 (KCNQ2/3) channels, rather than directly altering the NKCC1 to KCC2 ratio.
- 5-HT2A Receptor Activation:
- 5-HT2A receptors are a subtype of serotonin receptors that, when activated, can lead to various intracellular signaling cascades.
- Activation of 5-HT2A receptors has been shown to reduce the activity of KV7 (KCNQ2/3) channels, leading to decreased potassium efflux, increased membrane excitability, and reduced hyperpolarization.
- NKCC1 and KCC2 Regulation:
- NKCC1 and KCC2 are chloride transporters whose expression and activity are regulated by different mechanisms, often involving other receptors, transcription factors, and signaling pathways.
- While there is some evidence suggesting that serotonin can influence the expression of NKCC1 and KCC2, the direct effect of 5-HT2A receptor activation on these transporters is not well-established and is less likely to be the primary pathway through which 5-HT2A receptors exert their effects.
- Potassium Ion Channels (KV7/KCNQ2/3):
- The main effect of 5-HT2A receptor overactivity is on KV7 (KCNQ2/3) potassium channels. When these channels are inhibited, it can lead to increased neuronal excitability and reduced ability to hyperpolarize the membrane after an action potential.
- This inhibition of KV7 channels can contribute to various neurological conditions, including epilepsy and other hyperexcitability disorders.
Overactive 5-HT2A receptors are more directly associated with affecting KV7 (KCNQ2/3) channels rather than altering the NKCC1 to KCC2 ratio. The primary effect is on potassium ion channels, leading to changes in neuronal excitability and hyperpolarization capacity.
Serotonergic dysfunction, particularly involving 5-HT2A receptors, is more likely to affect potassium ion channels rather than chloride ion transporters directly. Hereās a summary of how this works:
- Serotonergic Dysfunction and 5-HT2A Receptors:
- Dysfunction in the serotonergic system, such as overactivation of 5-HT2A receptors, can lead to changes in intracellular signaling pathways.
- Effects on Potassium Ion Channels:
- Overactivation of 5-HT2A receptors can inhibit KV7 (KCNQ2/3) potassium channels.
- This inhibition reduces potassium efflux, leading to decreased membrane hyperpolarization and increased neuronal excitability.
- Proper function of potassium channels is crucial for maintaining the resting membrane potential and regulating the excitability of neurons.
- Indirect Effects on Chloride Ion Transporters:
- While 5-HT2A receptor activity primarily affects potassium channels, there could be indirect effects on chloride transporters through complex intracellular signaling cascades. However, these effects are not as direct or well-established as those on potassium channels.
- Serotonin signaling can influence the expression and function of various ion transporters and channels, including NKCC1 and KCC2, but this regulation is generally more complex and involves other serotonin receptor subtypes and signaling pathways.
- Clinical Implications:
- Disorders involving serotonergic dysfunction, such as depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia, can involve altered 5-HT2A receptor activity.
- Treatments targeting 5-HT2A receptors, such as certain antipsychotics and psychedelics, aim to modulate this receptorās activity to restore normal neuronal function.
In conclusion, serotonergic dysfunction, particularly involving 5-HT2A receptors, primarily affects potassium ion channels (KV7/KCNQ2/3), leading to changes in neuronal excitability and hyperpolarization, with less direct impact on chloride ion transporters like NKCC1 and KCC2.
improper functioning of KV7 (KCNQ2/3) channels can affect functional connectivity in the brain, particularly in relation to 5-HT2A receptor activity. Hereās how this relationship can manifest:
- KV7 (KCNQ2/3) Channel Dysfunction:
- KV7 channels are crucial for stabilizing the resting membrane potential and controlling neuronal excitability by regulating potassium efflux.
- If KV7 channels are not opening properly, this can lead to increased neuronal excitability and reduced hyperpolarization.
- Impact on Functional Connectivity:
- Functional connectivity refers to the coordinated activity and communication between different brain regions.
- Proper neuronal excitability and synaptic transmission are essential for maintaining functional connectivity.
- Dysfunctional KV7 channels can lead to abnormal neuronal firing patterns and disrupted communication between neurons and brain regions.
- Role of 5-HT2A Receptors:
- 5-HT2A receptors can modulate the activity of KV7 channels.
- Overactivation of 5-HT2A receptors inhibits KV7 channels, exacerbating issues with neuronal excitability.
- This can further disrupt functional connectivity by affecting the synchronization of neuronal networks and altering signal transmission.
- Consequences for Brain Function:
- Disrupted functional connectivity can contribute to various neurological and psychiatric disorders, such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and depression.
- For example, in schizophrenia, altered 5-HT2A receptor activity and impaired KV7 channel function have been implicated in the pathophysiology of the disorder, leading to disrupted connectivity and cognitive deficits.
improper functioning of KV7 (KCNQ2/3) channels can lead to disrupted functional connectivity in the brain, particularly when modulated by 5-HT2A receptor activity. This interaction can significantly impact neuronal communication and contribute to the pathogenesis of various brain disorders.
5-HT2A receptor activity can affect KV7 (KCNQ2/3) channels depending on whether 5-HT2A activity is high or low. Here's how:
- High 5-HT2A Activity:
- When 5-HT2A receptor activity is high, it typically leads to the inhibition of KV7 (KCNQ2/3) channels.
- Inhibition of KV7 channels reduces potassium efflux, leading to a less negative membrane potential (depolarization) and increased neuronal excitability.
- This can result in hyperexcitability of neurons, making it harder for the cell to return to its resting state after an action potential.
- Low 5-HT2A Activity:
- When 5-HT2A receptor activity is low, there is less inhibition of KV7 (KCNQ2/3) channels.
- With less inhibition, KV7 channels can function more effectively, promoting potassium efflux.
- This helps maintain or increase membrane hyperpolarization, thereby stabilizing the resting membrane potential and reducing neuronal excitability.
- Overall Impact on Neuronal Function:
- Proper function and regulation of KV7 channels are essential for controlling neuronal excitability and preventing excessive neuronal firing.
- Dysregulation of 5-HT2A receptor activity, whether too high or too low, can therefore lead to significant changes in neuronal excitability and may contribute to various neurological and psychiatric conditions.
Sound like KCQN2/3 activator are the best option lets hope so
I think I've covered all i can on this I hope this can bring some hope to all of you

2024.05.19 08:49 KinqCobra Drake fucked up so much I really doubt it wasnāt pre-planned. Who was it that REALLY fed the bad info?
I know it was said before, but honestly somethings been really bothering me about how Drake has gone about this whole beef.
He went from provoking Kendrick by mentioning his wife and using AI TUPAC in the most disrespectful manner for any East and West coast rapper knowing how much much this would piss off kendrick and many people in the hip hop community, to egging him into releasing so he would drop a song that uses information about DV and his wife cheating on him with his best friend that wasnāt reliable or provable at all (also somehow painting the picture that stepping up to raise another manās child is shameful? Considering drakes past that was a really bad take), to finally ending it all with a confession-style disaster song that misinterprets the point of Kendrickās last album about sexual trauma and the cycle of abuse, instead victim-blaming Kendrick (the assumed victim of abuse?) for pointing out drakes conduct with underage girls is pedophilic.
There are so many terrible ways that Drake has fucked up in his songs, that I was like ??? How tf is he not catching these. Just one example is that in the heart part 6 thereās no such thing as a B sharp scale, itās actually C major. And C major has the same notes as A MINOR. Plus the beat is in
F Minor, and in a part where he says heās not a predator and that all heās saying is fax, a background ad-lib goes āprove itā. You canāt make this shit up man.
Then I read this post:
https://www.reddit.com/KendrickLamas/SOcXeo6wN0 Which very reasonably lays out that the mole might be his very own producer Boy-1da that produced all his diss tracks AS WELL AS worked with Kendrick in two songs from mf
MR MORALE AND THE BIG STEPPERS and TPAB (The Blacker the Berry) AND the very recent metro boomin/future on
WE DONT TRUST YOU And it made a lot of sense. Because the very producer of N96 and Silent Hill would definitely not misinterpret the point of the album heās producing for, and Itās not like Drake is some executive producer in any of his work, he pretty much lets his team handle it. If Drake wrote his own lines he would actually do research into what heās rapping about and know not to fuck up the way he did. Which makes me think that very concept was in mind when this whole thing went down.
If you noticed, after every rap beef that Drake has been with, more shit has come out about him than heās been able to dig up about the other party. Meek Mill revealed that he uses ghostwriters, Joe Budden revealed that heās a culture vulture, Pusha T revealed that heās a neglectful, absent father, and Rick Ross revealed heās had work done. Well even though Drake was his homeboy and OG from 2006, boy-1da has worked with fucking Meek, Joe, AND Rick Ross.
Meanwhile Pushaās story of adidon was produced by No I.D, who also produced
5 songs off Drakes *Scorpion* that released an exact month after SOA, the only other time heās worked with Drake was 8 years prior in 2010. Speaking of Pusha T, he even threatened that he had more content but Drake was āadvisedā by Jprince not to keep going with the beef. Now if youāre aware about jprince and his connections you would understand the implications of why he would order Drake to cut it short, but anyway hereās my main point:
I think Kendrickās mole Boy1da has been plotting his demise alongside Kendrick. While Kendrick has obviously been wanting to take him down for years yes, I donāt think Kendrick found out all about the pedo stuff alone, maybe rumours and hints here and there, but not enough damning receipts. Itās a big fucking embarrassment and not a smart idea to come out in the open and make big claims without anything to come back with. Also, the risk of losing all credibility and the world turning against you in the process and maybe even ending your career or putting your family at risk is understandably a big fear. Even if youāre the most well liked celebrity, youāre risking the publicās perception of you changing for the worse based on the outcome of the beef.
Thatās why I believe that his mole mightāve reached out to him as well and sabotaged Drake up to the sorry state he is in right now. Thereās no way Kendrick would have randomly infiltrated Drakes ātight-knitā group, itās clear boy-1da, who in the post I linked has been described as a loving and doting father, has been ready to expose Drake. Thatās why the whole you arenāt street smart line from Kendrick makes so much sense, since Drake has stupid blind trust in the people around him since betrayal was never a life or death situation for him growing up. Which brings me to my next point:
What if, it wasnāt Drake that fed bad information to Kendrick, but the exact opposite??? what if Drake thought boy-1da was a double agent for HIM when he was actually a triple agent for Kendrick? No way did Drake not think itās suspicious that Boy1da worked with Kendrick multiple times before then let him be the executive producer to all his mf diss tracks.
Also, if youāve noticed, Drake was also so close to using shit that actually works really well against Kendrick before mysteriously going in a crazy different direction. He couldāve gone more after shit Kendrick himself confirmed, like the fact that Kendrick cheated on his āmixed queenā with white girls and claims to be the Black Messiah yet is lacking in influence and making a change to compton beyond a few visits to a school or shit like that (Ion know if heās done more, itās just stuff that would have people questioning Kendrickās credibility and the publicās perception of him). He didnāt even have to go after his wife or kids, he couldāve attacked the discrepancies in Kendrickās lifestyle (yes, it was addressed in Mr Morale but it wouldāve been flashy, his reputation wouldāve been fucked if he was painted as a snowbunny chasing cheater which greatly contrasts his āBlack Messiah family manā persona, even if he was forgiven as you know the internet rarely forgives.)
Idk yall. Shit is weird. I think the fact that Kendrick is coming out of this pretty much unscathed is tooā¦ incredible. Iām sure the DV allegations will be cleared and a simple DNA test, if he chooses to have one, would clear up the fact that Drake āis a liar and master manipulatorā, when I actually think the mole is the one that set up Drake to sound like one (not that he isnāt, but I truly done think he came up with the allegations out of his own ass, he was obviously fed bad info).
