La Liga 2023/2024 Gameweek 37 Prediction

2024.05.18 17:27 madmag23 La Liga 2023/2024 Gameweek 37 Prediction

SUNDAY 19 MAY 2024 (GMT +7)
Alaves vs Getafe
Alaves, which was in a positive trend, last week had to be destroyed 5-0 by Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Gracia Plaza's side were unable to stop the dominance of the La Liga winners. In Fact on the last match, Alaves managed to took 10 shots of goal from 18 attempts, which is a very good record for El Glorioso, unfortunately none of them went into Cortois' net, who had just recovered from injury. Madrid defenders silenced the opponent team's topscorer, Samu Omorodion, who is on loan from Atletico Madrid. The 20 year old striker has scored 9 goals for Alaves in La Liga. However, in the last five matches Alaves only lost once, namely when they were destroyed by EL Real, where previously won 3 matches in a row (3W 1D 1L). Players like Jon Guridi, Giuliano Simeone and also Carlos Benavídez can be another option if their main striker can't score a goal, because in 10+ matches Omorodion couldn't score a goal against the opposite, as a result Alaves started to struggle to break into the top 10 and now stuck in 11th place, the last time Omorodion scored a goal was in February when draw against Villarreal. Meanwhile, the visitor', who are just above Alaves in the tables, are in poor condition after suffering three consecutive defeats in the last five matches (1W 1D 3L) in contrast to Alaves. Last week they were destroyed by Antoine Griezmann when they hosted Atletico Madrid at home. Griezmann scored a hat trick in the match and buried Getafe's hopes of overtaking Valencia above them. Their defenders like Diego Rico and Gaston Alvarez were unable to stop the French on the pitch from scoring a hat trick in just 3 attempts. Mason Greenwood, a loan player from Manchester United, was planned to be the main striker but failed in this match, while their main striker Borja Mayoral was absent due to injury. Mayoral's injury being one of the reasons Getafe has recently failed to win, Mayoral this season has become an important Getafe player, in this season he has scored 15 goals in 27 matches, followed by Mason Greenwood with G8/A6 in 30 La Liga matches. This will be a thrilling match. Getafe wants to maintain their current position, while Alaves hopes to kick Getafe and go up to 10th place, but with Mayoral out of the game, this match will not easy for Getafe while Alaves is in their best form this season.
Prediction: 55-45
Barcelona vs Rayo Vallecano
Finally, Barcelona managed to occupy second place in the tables after Girona lost in the last week. Not just that, last they also won 0-2 against the hosts Almeria, a brace by their young player Fermín Marín and also a clean sheet for Marc-André ter Stegen, who recorded another clean sheet after previously also keeping a clean sheet against Real Sociedad. Xavi's side have won three of their last five matches (3W 2L). This is a good result for Xavi because previously they were always below Girona in third place, far from this season's La Liga Winners Real Madrid. Xavi feels Barcelona this season is not as good as last seasons, such as the departure of Sergio Busquets and also Robert Lewandowski whose dropping performance. Even though there are additions like Joao Felix, they are still unable to compete with Madrid in this season. Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano, who won last week with 10 mens against Granada, Oscar Trejo, who was sent off in the first 5 minutes of the first half, Iñigo Pérez's side showed no weakness as they won 2-1 over the visitors. Florian Lejeune, the former Newcastle player, scored the first goal for Rayo, then followed by Jorge de Frutos who came on from the bench with Radamel Falcao, while the visitors had time to respons when normal time was running out by Lucas Boyé's goal, but his goal was not enough for Granada to take the points. After winning the match, Rayo started to get out of the relegation zone after being 6 points ahead of Cadiz in 18th position with 32 points while Rayo had collected 38 points. To be honest, this will be an interesting match for both teams, but I slightly favor Barcelona, in the last few matches they have started to find their rhythm again, Fermin Marin, Lewandowski and also Lamine Lamal are big threats to Rayo's defense.
Prediction: 55-45
Granada vs Celta Vigo
Granada, who has officially been relegated this season, must host Celta Vigo at Los Cármenes Stadium. Granada is indeed in poor form after three consecutive defeats in their last five matches. Last week they failed to get points against Rayo Vallecano who played with 10 mens, they could only respons at the end by Lucas Boye's goal. Before that they were also destroyed by Madrid when they hosted them at home. Brahim Dias, who got the chance to starter, didn't waste his chance to score a brace in that match, as did young turkish Arda Guler, who was also given the chance by Don Carlo to also score a goal. Madrid, which seems to be rotating by giving several second line players to play, was strong enough to beat Granada, who just took 1 shot on target from 12 attempts. Granada this season also only won four matches of 36 La Liga matches, being the second worst team after Almeria who are at the bottom of the standings by collecting 17 points from 36 matches. Myrto Uzuni, who this season has scored 11 goals in 34 matches, was unable to save Granada from relegation. Meanwhile, Claudio Giráldez's side, who were trying to avoid the relegation zone, managed to beat Athletic Bilbao after a goal from supersub Hugo Alvarez. Point by point is very important for them to get out of the relegation zone. Celta is now in 16th table with 37 points, 5 points ahead of Cadiz in 18th position with 32 points, with 2 matches remaining, Celta must be able to get points to stay in La Liga. I think this will be an interesting match for Celta especially if they want to escape the pressure of relegation, Celta are actually in good form recently as they have won three of their last five matches (3W 2L).
Prediction: 45-55

What if the protagonists had a track race? Tier list
Explaining every placement
Chase: He’s physically got the legs of a bodybuilder, Chase was born for this purpose
A-Tier
Hilda: She traveled through the entire region of Unova by foot, no vehicle, by foot. And not to mention her extreme competitive nature (She probably doesn’t smell that great)
Rei: Had to survive off of nearly the wild. Fought half a dozen gargantuan bosses and had to create his own balls (He definitely doesn’t smell great)
Akari: Rei minus all of the bossfights
Red: Also journeyed through the region by foot, climbed a massive mountain by hand, and defeated team rocket by head which has nothing to do with physical sports but good to know
Ethan: While not completely athletic, he’s one with Nature and will probably have a lot of experience with running
Rosa: Hyper and Energetic, definitely carries her in this
Nate: He just looks like a track guy
B-Tier
Brendan: Quite a brawn guy which is all he has going, but will serve him decent
Calem: He’s nearly an adult against a bunch of children, while he has nearly zero experience in track, he would probably be just okay against the little kids
Hilbert: Like Hilda, he journeyed the entire region without support, but he’s a very chill boy
Elio: Just… Average… Just dead average
Victor: Going on bike through the entire United Kingdom probably has his legs weak, but we do see him running through many towns without a single flaw
Gloria: The Dojo may have helped in physical defense, but that isn’t separating her from the rest
Ash: After more thought I think I should have placed him in A tier, he is seen to be mad hyper and very energetic. Pretend he’s next to Hilda in A tier
May: Sporty but passive towards other people, riding on a bike and surfing in the waters definitely has a negative impact
C-Tier
Lucas: isn’t truly slow but he does spend almost all of his time in one place
Serena: Only racing knowledge she has is Rhyhorn riding… but I guess her roller skates do help her gain some experience in speed
Kris: Sorry people, this isn’t about the beloved Manga, so Kris sadly only has intelligence going for her with those pencil-thin bony calcium-deficient tiny Gru-ass legs
Dawn: She’s Dawn
Leaf: pretty much in Kris’s spot but weaker
Lyra: Kris’s spot without the smarts
Selene:
D-Tier
Princess Hilda: She has heels, she would not like running in those
Florian: He rides a bike pretty much throughout the entire adventure in Paldea
Juliana: She seems like she would get hit by a parked car

2024.05.03 04:01 katanddog 2,000 Names (and their meanings) For Your Baby Boy found from a Vintage Mennen Company Booklet

My mom passed along this booklet that belonged to my grandmother when we were expecting. Figured I would share it here before discarding it. The Girl Name list is already posted 😊 Enjoy!
WHAT'S IN A NAME
Don't let the meanings concern you. Think instead of how the name will fit the child, when the child is grown, or known. Choose the name with care. It's very important to your baby-all through life. Here are some guides: - Say each name aloud, along with your own family name, to check rhythm and sound. - Use soft first names with sharp-sounding family names. - Use multi-syllable first names with short family names. - Avoid using a first name that ends with the same sound that starts the last name, such as "Jane Nevins." - Avoid "famous combinations" such as "Abraham" and "Lincoln." - Watch out for initials that spell out familiar letters, like “S. O. S”

2024.04.27 04:31 Icy_Building_4492 I feel for Florian!

I’m doing my rewatch and just hear me out!!!!! Florian cheating effected Dae and that was not fair but the way everyone reacted to his cheating before that? So privileged and irritating. Florian cheated because flunking out means going somewhere he’s going to be persecuted and treated as less then for being gay. Qs reaction then Kitty’s? All it feels like to me is people who don’t understand how AWFUL that had to be for Florian. He shouldn’t have cheated but I feel for the boy

2024.04.25 04:35 OBAMAISGOD45 Ultra Sins concepts (My take) part 1

Bobby (Ultra Sloth):
Attacks:
Spit a giant Bob's Brain
Moves in a slow lazy way
spit Ipecac tears
Make creep puddles
Trow his own head
In his second face he will look more rotten to resemble bob's rotten head
In this face he will:
Trow his head more often
Spawn Gurgles
When his head explodes it will fire Ipecac tears all directions
Fire Ipecac tears upwards, a shadow will mark where they are falling just like mom's stomps
When he dies he will vomit and basically kill himself with the IPECAC explosions.

True Ultra Pride:
The original Ultra Pride is shown just to be smashed by a giant grey hand starting the True Ultra Pride fight
Attacks:
His attacks are references to rage comics.
He can fly by covering himself in oil
He can Shoop Da Whoop
He can spit several soy milk tears referencing the cereal guy
He will go to the corner with the forever alone face while several troll bombs spawn
Second Phase:
He will heal himself just to be smashed by the original Ultra Pride
Ultra Pride is now a giant grotesque zombified Edmund Mcmillen
His head comes out from a hole on the ground while his hands come out from 2 doors
He will spawn bosses from his other games with new movesets:
Gish: 1st boss, he has new attacks. He can climb walls like his original game, he can also drop into the hole on the ground and pop out of a door.
Tri-achnid: 2nd boss, he can now trow Egg Sacks and make his limbs pop out of doors.
Steven: 3rd boss, he can switch dimentions like his original game, he will fire multiple tears, some of them will be transparent and won't hurt you but he will switch dimentions making the transparent tears hurt you and the regular tears transparent.
C.H.A.D.: 4th boss, he can now jump and leave red creep puddles.
Bumbino: 5th boss, He can now smash you with a bag of trash and spawn an ultra greed giant spinning coin
After the 5 of them are defeated Ultra Pride will attack with its OP final boss attacks:
Spitting homming tears.
A giant Florian Baby randomly popping out and dashing foward.
Fire thin lasers that will nerf one random stat just like he nerfs items (Health not included)
Trow a meat boy sawblade
Vomit bags of trash like the gross cow the little fucker is
when he dies he turns into a cow and you win.

2024.04.24 18:48 melon_flag What character's lore do you find most interesting?

IDV characters have diverse background stories and lores but I've noticed a lot of discourse about some of them so I thought I'd ask what your favourite characters lore is and what you interpret it as.
For me personally my favourite character is Victor, I find his backstory of his mother's abandonment, living with his uncle and life in a boarding school really adds to his characters motivations and its a crime this information was event locked (from the autumn event). I also really love Game 3s lore and Wick is such a good boy!
Other than Victor I also really like Lily, Matthias, Florian, Eli and Melly.
So who's your favourite and what's their lore?

2024.04.22 03:02 ska2oosh New(ish) to the fandom? Here’s some fics you (probably) haven’t read yet (pt 4)

Part four baby! If you missed the last three parts, you can catch the original post here, part two here, and part three here
As stated in the original post, these are for the people like me who have been here long enough to read the classics but not long enough to have read all the underrated/less popular fics. Because while the classics are amazing, we need some of those hidden gems! Feel free to rec some more I may have missed down below :)
Alrighty then… here we go!
Little Deaths and How to Avoid Them (or Draco Malfoy's Guide to Stop Dying and Start Living Instead) by dustmouth, nerakrose
Malfoy is way too interested in coroner reports for somebody who's definitely not looking for ways to die, Harry wants to be friends with him, and Ginny wants to break up with Harry.
Features: Little League Quidditch, an abundance of bath bombs, happy endings, and gay robots in space.
Malfoy Home for Lost Children by Craftybadger1234
After the war, Draco accidentally becomes responsible for a whole passel of children. Along the way, he has to dodge Harry Potter nosing around in his business.
Gold Rush by sunnisom
"I wish I could shield you from all this. I wish you could go back to being the oblivious barista in the cozy coffee shop. Live out your life as normal as possible. Drinking coffee and laughing away with friends. Attending school and graduating, never exposed to the horrors you witnessed. But you have to understand this is what comes with dating Draco.”
What started off as Harry becoming mesmerized by Draco in a coffee shop, suddenly turned into a whirlwind of crazy events.
Harry eventually finds Draco filling every portion of his life, slowly realizing the hardships that'll come with falling for him. From drunken mishaps to secret late night rendezvous to deadly family dinners—it becomes clear that there is so much more to Draco than Harry ever imagined.
The Guise of Forgiveness by SunseticMonster
George's new potion has caught the interest of the entire Auror Department, thanks to an article by the elusive Draco Malfoy. So, when Harry sees Malfoy in the middle of a panic attack, he attempts to make amends as a ploy to find out what's really been going on.
The Draco Malfoy Incident by Xoxoky
Draco Malfoy is best friends with a Hufflepuff. A HUFFLEPUFF! He's also partnered with a redhead git, trying to hide from an obsessive green-eyed saviour and has become overly fond with sunrises. It's exhausting. Can't a man plan an assassination in peace around here?
just tell me when it’s alright by M0stlyVoid
Harry’s been fighting tooth and nail for any bit of normalcy he can get his hands on. He’s sick of feeling like something’s wrong with him, tired of feeling different. He thinks he’s finally gotten to the root of it, and has settled into a routine that makes him happy. Naturally, that’s when Draco Malfoy walks back into his life and upends it once again. Has Harry bitten off more than he can chew with his former rival?
Could’ve Followed My Fears All the Way Down by sunnisom
The war is over and everyone's moved on.
Except for Harry, who's deeply depressed and reached rock bottom. He feels like there is nothing more left for him in this world. As he stands on the ledge of a building, ready to jump... Draco appears.
Survival of the Species by Romaine
Draco approaches Harry on the 9 ¾ platform, after their sons have boarded the Hogwarts Express, and invites him over for tea. The discussion they have leads them on an adventure that neither could have expected. There be dragons! HPDH compliant but before any other canon info had been released.
Rosie Lea (have a cuppa tea) by OrdinaryRealities
After the war Harry buys Florian Fortescue's ice cream parlor and opens a tea shop. Because of this he somehow ends up trying to rescue Slytherin's reputation and accidentally finds himself friends with half of Slytherin. He doesn't understand how it happened.
Double Edged Sword by Romaine
Harry thinks his life has been planned out, but the night he comes of age changes everything. Now there are decisions to be made and a path to be chosen, and the choices before him will change the lives of everyone he knows. But when destiny calls, Harry finds himself ready to listen.
This is an epic story of the love between Harry and Draco. Join them as they journey through their life together, through the good times and the bad, facing obstacles both external and internal, and see how they come to be who they were meant to be. (This story was written after HBP and before HPDH.)
December Never Felt So Wrong by MaesterChill
'Twas the month before Christmas and sixteen year old Draco Malfoy had never felt worse. His attempts to kill Dumbledore were failing and, as usual, Harry Fucking Potter was a constant thorn in his side.
All that suddenly changed when Draco woke up 15 years in the future and discovered that not only was he allegedly shagging Harry Fucking Potter, he also had thinning hair and a five year old son, and no fucking clue how he got there.
Waters of March by geoviki
Voldemort's final victim resides with the other spell-damaged wizards in St. Mungo's Hospital. Harry suffers survivor's guilt and finds an unusual beta. Cream-colored knee-high leather boots make a brief appearance.
Ambivalent Lucidity by Sakai Michiba
When Draco Malfoy's mental health mysteriously declines, he is placed under the care of the only person he responds to: Harry Potter. Includes mental disorders (paranoid schizophrenia, Dissociative Identity Disorder, post-traumatic stress).
the space between (what you want and what you need) by disapparater
As a specialist Healer in dark magic, Draco has had his fair share of difficult cases and awkward patients. Still, nothing has prepared him for a curse-paralysed Harry Potter.
Give Me A Sign by marinstan
After the war, Harry Potter doesn't get his happy ending. Instead, he's now deaf and mute and neighbours with Draco Malfoy.
Being in love is never easy and sometimes, the timing is just never right. But patience is a virtue and Harry a go-getter - just a little oblivious at times.
What's Eating Draco Malfoy? by i8thecookie
"Tragedy struck today when Anorexia Nervosa claimed a young boy's life," he spoke loudly. "Very sad. He will be missed by one person, maybe two. Awful. Now to the weather with Carl!"
Ginny could not help herself; she burst out laughing. She didn't know what was more absurd. The way Malfoy joked about his own death or the fact that he had watched muggle TV. Muggle news even.
"You're a bloody lunatic!" she snorted, and Malfoy's smile widened.
"Darling," he said in a posh accent. "We're all bloody lunatics, that's why we're here in the first place." He started to stand up. "Now that you're here, that goes for you too." He began walking away from her, slowly tilting his head as he spoke over his shoulder.
"Welcome to the loony bin, Weaslette!”
Interpreting Draconis by Dacro
Draco, the Deaf son of a wealthy businessman, has always had the best of everything, including a habit for rapid signing and a reputation for having a short fuse. When his father disappears, the interpreters who have been on the receiving end of Draco's attitude and temper refuse to work for him. Enter Harry, our 'new on the block' interpreter with a heart of gold, exemplary skills, and a few secrets in his pocket.
When I Put My Eyes On You by Zzzara
When a hero defeats a villain, there's supposed to be a happily-ever-after... but when did anything ever happen to Harry Potter the way it was supposed to? Having sacrificed himself to the greater good, Harry is left alone in the darkness, blindly groping for the shreds of the life he knew.
When the enemies meet, how is the story supposed to go, once they learn there's more to it than the eye can see?
A story of pain, hope and things we discover, once we stop looking for them with our eyes.
For the Price of a Soul by SilverCookieDust
After selling his soul to a demon for incredible power at the tips of his fingers, Harry flees Privet Drive to spend his next few years on the streets of London, hidden magically as well as physically. When he finally enrols at Hogwarts, only a handful of people know who he truly is, but obscurity doesn’t keep him from trouble and power doesn’t make for experience.
Of Paradise and Perfection by alaana_fair
Fourteen years after the events of HBP the war is over, but a depressed Harry Potter is still searching for happiness. Will a well deserved holiday help him find it? Or will it leave him even more confused than ever?
Portrait of a Marriage by luminae
Harry didn't want to marry Malfoy, he really didn't, but he also does want this house and Malfoy looked so smug and well - now they are married, and the house still doesn't like him, and Malfoy only looks more smug.
Draco didn't want to marry Potter, he really didn't, but he also does want this house and he never seems to be capable of escaping Potter anyway, so if he is already doomed to being married off he might as well decide for himself what he is worth, sign the papers and ignore everything wrong with that plan until physically no longer possible.
Truth and Tradition by MalenkayaCherepakha
Pure-blood tradition dictates that every child learns about pure-blood culture and history when they first start to show signs of magic. When a reluctant Draco is told he has to teach Teddy, he doesn’t expect to learn new things about magic, the world beyond Diagon Alley, and an old schoolmate.
Two Hearts Divided by iero0, Ladderofyears
Draco Malfoy, the celebrated Ghost Clearance Expert, is in Germany, trying to solve the tricky little matter of a stubborn ghost called Clara von Kellern. Exasperated after trying every spell he knows, Draco sends an owl to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in London, requesting their urgent help.
Little does Draco know that the clerk who willingly grasps his letter is Harry Potter.
Injured in action, Harry enjoys a quiet, deskbound existence and sees Draco’s letters as a bit of excitement to brighten up his dull days. Harry has no idea that investigating Clara’s life, and that of her beau (and potential murderer) Ernst Wernet will lead to the beginnings of a love affair all of his own.
Another Sun That's Brighter Still by Omi_Ohmy
Draco’s parents are trying to force him to marry – just because of some stupid family curse – but Draco isn’t willing to settle for second best. After rejecting one suitor too many, he’s handfasted to a stinky and ragged minstrel and sent off without a Knut to his name.
Bonne Foi, Draco Malfoy by badwolfblues
Vincet Semper: The Malfoy Legacy Inheritance Ritual must be undertaken by an heir pure of blood and strong of will. He will lend his body, his magic, and his mind to the Estate, and thus control the direction of the next generation of powerful Malfoy magicks. He and the Estate will both be made stronger by the ritual.
-from the journals of Septimus Malfoy, 1820
At twenty-five, Draco Malfoy has to return to England to do something about the Manor, and Harry Potter won’t leave him alone. His years-old crush on Potter is reignited over repairs, mermaid lemonades, and pocket owl messages.
Organically Grown by twistedmiracle
Secretsalex had this HDS-Beltane prompt: “Harry takes great pains to prepare a big event for Beltane because he thinks it's a pureblood tradition. Turns out Draco has never celebrated it in his life and has no idea what Harry's up to.” I loved this prompt. I requested this prompt. And fulfilling it ended up taking 40k words!
Everything has become remarkably weird. Hermione has no career path to speak of, Draco's become fixedly polite, Neville’s all grown up, Snape is everywhere, and Harry keeps trying to impress… Malfoy?
Christmas Courting by Kai_Embers
‘Christmas Courting’ or ‘Yuletide Courting’ is an ancient ritual that many Pure-blood wizards - and all members of the Sacred 28 - go through when choosing their intended. A notice is published to the public on the 1st of December announcing their intention of beginning the ritual. Ten Courting Rituals are chosen from the suitable options for the time by the Courtee and their family.
Draco has no family, limited prospects and a legacy he needs to live up to, so on the 1st of December his name is published on the Christmas Courting list with Blaise backing him through the process as suiters vie for his hand. The Malfoy name is still worth something in the right circles.
Harry barely manages to fit in work, life and coffee into each day. When he accidently applies to Malfoy’s Courting it quickly takes up more time than it should. He doesn’t want to win … just … he’ll make up an excuse later.
Malfoy has always been a bit of an obsession, of course he’d have time for that.

2024.04.03 19:48 KYDE_King Preston North End Season 3... The Fight To Stay Up!

Preston North End Season 3... The Fight To Stay Up!
Introduction
After missing out on the Premier League In Season 1 (go and read it if you haven't already) and grabbing Promotion to the Premier League in Season 2 (same as Season 1 go and read it if you haven't already) Preston are now in the Top Flight of England for the first time in 64 years... But the question is 'Will they stay up?'
Summer Transfer Window
With £40 Million in our Budget at the start of the season ,after our recent promotion from the Championship, we were in need of some Premier League-level talent. But first we needed to remove some deadwood. Younger players that were unlikely to get playtime were the first to go (some on loan some permanently) ;Scott, Herbert, Leigh, Taylor, Fleming and Cross-Adair all went on loan to various clubs around the world while Mawene left Permanently to Philadelphia Union (he must've caught there eye during his loan spell to FC Cincinnati last year). This also included more relevant players like Woodburn who went on loan to Hull City ,who had been relegated back down to the Championship. Kian Best who was Sold to F.C. København for a fee of £2.5 Million. Remembering players; Browne, Holmes and McCann who all left on Pre-Contract Agreements meant our Squad lacked even more players. Finally, Regular Starters ,shot stopper, Woodman and ,poacher, Riis left to bigger clubs. Woodman leaving to TSG Hoffenheim for £3.4 Million ,who have excelled in recent years. While Riis left to fellow Premier League side Newcastle for £7.5 Million.
Players Loaned and Transferred Out with Total Amount made.
Knowing Teams would be far better this year Preston needed to strengthen both the Attack and Defence with players Like Woodman and Riis leaving a new GK and ST would nee to be priority. To fill in for Woodman Starboy Atubolu who sat on the bench behind Florian Muller at SC Freiburg was brought in for the price of £8,000,000. Fellow German Ache came in from FC Kaiserslautern in the German Second Division for £8,000,000 to replace Riis. With Both Hughes and Bauer's contract expiring 2 more CB's would need to be brought in to strengthen the defence. Former Spurs man who had been in Germany the past 2 years with Bayern Munchen was having his contract run down by the German Giants and a return to English Football being what Eric Dier needed the vacancy here at Preston was the perfect fit so for just £6,000,000 he was signed. Chris Mepham former Bournemouth CB was sitting on the Free Agents list after his contract ran out with The Cherries and we quickly snagged up for free. Another area of concern was the WB's more specifically the LWB after McCann left to PSV and Brady retired the club was bone dry for decent Wing-Backs. This lead to the signing of 25-year-old Belgian Wing-Back Deman from SV Werder Bremen for the small price of £5,250,000 and Free Agent Norrington-Davies who has lots of experience among the English Leagues was also signed for free. Finally, the departure of Club Legend Browne who left to Fenerbache left an opening in the midfield for Manchester United Reserve Hannibal Mejbri who came in for £5,600,000.
Players Transferred In with Total Cost
First Half the Season
A challenging game against ,former player and manager, David Moyes meant his West Ham side would win our opening Game of the Season 2-0 in a match they dominated. Also marked as the debut for Starboy Louie Thomas who came on as a sub during the second half. We found our first Win in the Premier League 2 Games Later against a rather shocking Brentford Side who lacked many key players which allowed us to win the game 3-1. Our Second win came against a rather decent Palace team that just switched off defensively in the final 20 minutes of the game allowing us to claw back from 3-2 down to winning 4-3 in the dying minutes. A shock win came against Big 6 team Arsenal (serves them right for stealing the Invincibles title from us) in which we won 2-0. Another Shock win came from beating a very poor (player wise) Newcastle team despite the Saudi Investment just half a Decade before. Big losses against Liverpool, Manchester United and Wolves were very notable for further reinforcements in the defence needed in this coming season.

Another Poor run in the Carabao Cup saw us being knocked out in the 3rd Round by Wolves yet again.

A disappointing loss to Brighton meant we were Knocked out of The FA Cup in the 4th Round but is still the furthest the club has gone since I became Manager.

Youth Academy
A consequence of Preston's promotion allowed for a singular 4*4* 'chief' scout ,Albert Sadler, who went on to find many class talents within the British Isles. Meanwhile, the other Scouts ,Rory Lockhart, and Emil Johansen were set to find talents elsewhere. Johansen tended to be sent to Scandinavian Countries like Norway and Denmark while Lockhart was sent to New Zealand and Australia.
Youth Academy found this season along with those promoted during January (mentioned next)
January Transfer Window
During the January Transfer Window many Youth Players who held good ratings for their age accompanied by high potential as well risked becoming 18 between January and the end of the season meaning they would force themselves out the YA and not get a loan ruining the potential as they would not get adequate play-time. To battle this at the start of January I promoted Several Players, these being; 65-Rated English striker Gould, 60-Rated Australian winger Hicks, 65-Rated Irish Attacking Midfielder Rafferty, 60-Rated Danish Midfielder Gregersen, 64-Rated English Defensive-Midfielder Miles, 62-Rated Northern Irish Wing-Back Quigley and 64-Rated English Goalkeeper Marriot. Despite this influx of Youth Prospects who were placed on Loan List only Rafferty found himself moving clubs ending up in Turkey. Layton Stewart ,unsettled with the lack of games he was receiving, found himself returning to KAA Gent the team that loaned him in the 23/24 season for a fee of £1,550,000. In our luck ,Argentinian, Rodriguez-Gentile returned from his 2-year loan at Charlton Athletic and was able to fill the role Stewart left behind while only being 3 ratings less than him. This meant no signings were desperately needed during the Winter Window meaning no more Budget was spent

Second Half of the Season
A rocky first half of the season leading into a rocky second half of the season meant Preston were in the depths of the Relegation Battle along with Bournemouth, Brentford, Burnley, Everton, Fulham, A woeful Newcastle United and Wolves. Wins against Brentford and Burnley and draws against Fulham and Wolves meant we were as comfortable as we could be in a Relegation Battle. Further wins against Top-half teams Liverpool and Aston Villa aided our hopes to staying up as it was unlikely fellow relegation threatened teams would also be able to profit off of teams like these. A run of 4 losses before the final 2 games were worrying but the Draw against Wolves sealed there relegation and our survival. Finishing in 16th with 40 points meant we had left Newcastle United on 39 points and a -9 goal difference in 17th, Wolves on 39 points and a -10 goal difference in 18th, Fulham in 19th with 34 points and Burnley in 20th with 23 points. We had survived a 38-game-long season in the Premier League.

The Squad
A tough season, but WE SURVIVED! This season only had 5 standout players in attack, but for our first season in the Premier League it's a great feat. Top-Scorer, German Boy, Ache lead Preston's goal-scoring charts this year Ending the Season with 19 goals (and 4 assists making him this years top goal-contributor within the squad as well). Stansfield closely followed him in Goals with 16 (and 5 assists). Top-Assister goes to Frøkjær with 11 assists (and 9 goals). Manchester United Reserve ,Mejbri, ended the season with just 1 goal but 10 assists backing up Pundits claims that he was 'the man to start attacks through'. Alli took this 3rd chance in the Prem by the throat finishing the Season with 9 goals and 9 assists proving himself to everyone who doubted him. Belgian WB Deman appeared to be tutored into his role really well by Preston's Trent ,Potts, with both claiming a Goal and an assist (Deman getting 2). Despite this the defence will need to be improved on with the second worst GD (after Burnley) and most goals conceded across the table. I am certain this is not the attacks fault as only 6 teams managed to score more goals than us. As for the wages of each player that contributed last season being increased that was fulfilled.
All the Players in the Senior Team at the End of the Season
Next Season
Our goals for Next season are simple:
  • Improve the defence
  • Improve areas that need replacing
  • Finish 15th or Higher
  • Continue Youth Scouting
  • Keep wages below £500,000 (currently £436,100), £600,000 worst case scenario
  • Loan out Youth Prospects who have little chance of playing
  • Attempt to go further in BOTH Carabao Cup and Emirates FA Cup

Picks Of The Week (by u/lefuniname)

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the clocks made that confusing jumpy thingy again - Spring has sprung! What better way to celebrate the blossoming beauties of nature than basking in the wonderful sun-ics coming out of the up-and-comers of the scene?

1. Dylan Purser - City In Lights EP [Galacy]

Recommended if you like: Hiraeth, Keeno, Telomic
Of course, we cannot go full-send right away on our journey through all things new(-ish), so let's instead start with something rather vibey - Dylan Purser's debut EP!
In case you don't know him yet, Dil-hun Puh-suh, as his university knows him, is one of the finest gems the liquid scene has brought forth in recent times. Originally from way up north in Darwen, he then made the mind-boggling choice to move to Birmingham, of all places, to take a crack at studying Music Technology. That didn't come out of nowhere though, Dylan was already a pursuer of the arts when he made that move, with his first self-releases and SoundCloud uploads having started rolling in 2018. Across bootlegs of The 1975 and the seminal European anthem Better Off Alone, plus various polaroided originals, he explored his musical identity, with Dylan trying out anything from Chillout and Hiphop to "Dance" and, of course, DnB. While he did also try his hands at Dubstep, with his bootleg of Flite's Joy, and even some heavier DnB on Debunked in 2021, the more relaxing vibes did win the battle of the subgenres in the end, with his first big break (dy)landing via UKF's Pilot that same year.
However, while he would fit right in at Pilot, he soon started steering his career towards outer space, towards the Galaxy Of Dreams™️. Sure, he has he been an active member of the Liquicity community for a while now, but 2023 was when things really kicked off. Not only did he release on both its sister label Ridmic and even on the main label's Winter compilation, he also played a most wonderful set at the community stream event, the summer festival's Nebula stage and Family Day. His collaboration with songwriters isn't just limited to DnB though, on his work with Nina McKendrick, with whom he created the Music production house AMIS MUSIC, and Sarah Michie he also ventures out into the Pop and Rock spheres every now and then.
On City In Lights, Dylan's delightful debut EP on Liquicity's lush Liquid-focused offshoot Galacy, we're all about the night time drive vibes though! With its ebbing and flowing piano chords, floating synths and wonderful vocal sample, Day Relief is already giving us plenty of loveliness to enjoy the evening with, but Bliss really raises the bar to a whole 'nother level. With the absolutely marvellous, sadly all too rarely actually on tracks appearing, Leeds-based singer-songwriter Lauren Walton once again showing the world just how gorgeous her vocals can be, we're already off to a great start, but Dylan also knows exactly how to fill the rest of the arrangement, with beautiful waves of synths washing over you, subtle piano chords slowly but surely extending into this plucky guitar-y vibe, and a talent for taking his sweet time to weave them all in and out as necessary. Even at almost 6 minutes runtime, you kind of just want more.
Luckily, we still got a couple more tunes to go! After the euphoria of its predecessor, Twilight takes down the energy levels a little bit, with only gently rolling drums, the most pleasant of pianos and a warm bed of bass greeting us at first. However, soon enough, some magical synth plucks join in on the fun, becoming more and more jittery as time goes on, resulting in not just a rather satisfying progression, but also in my brain being scritched just right. On Let Me Go we go down another notch on the energy ladder, cruising through the empty citey with some breaky, lo-fi midnight vibes. For those insomniacs out there, we still got one more to go through: Sleepless Nights, with Blackburnian singer-songwriter Ella Hammill. While fast-paced drums attempt to keep us up all night, the enchanting arrangement of delightful melodies paired with Ella's dreamy vocal performance will slowly make you drift away into the galaxy of dreams for some much-needed rest.
My Dylantidote of choice for seasonal depression. Simply wonderful.
Other liquid from this week: - Telomic, KINSELLA - Selfish - Styke, switch/case, Steo - Let You Know - Operate, Rizzle, Catching Cairo, Verbz - Active - Sonnet - Hung Up 💎 - Metal Work, Just Mack - Purity EP - Tyler Dayley, Children Of Zeus - Small Circles (Calibre Remix)

2. Various Artists - Adaptations, Gen. III [Blackout Music]

Recommended if you like: Finding new Neuro-adjacent artists!
As evidenced by the sprawling Evolutions compilation series, Dutch neurofunk forge Blackout has always been on the lookout for new talents in the scene. Even when said series came to an end with its 10th edition in 2021, the Adaptations series picked the mantle back up just a year later, regularly presenting all sorts of exciting names from all over the world, one compilation EP at a time. Now, let's see what this third generation of Blackout recruits has to offer!
First, we head on over to the North East of France, where Mona L'Huillier, aka Eluun, has not just been tirelessly working to push bass music in her home town of Nancy in the past few years, but has also been busy crafting her very own creations for more than a decade now. As Sian Area, she's been traversing the whole electronic music spectrum, from colourful Midtempo or Dubstep, to, of course, even DnB, since 2011! Eventually, however, she grew tired of the alias and the associated baggage, and rebranded herself as Eluun in 2017, with a slew of multi-genre releases on Kinphonic to boot. From 2018 on, the project was on a bit of a hiatus, during which Mona focussed on getting her bass music event brand N87 off the ground, but since last year, she's back in action again! After a couple super sick bootlegs, she now tops it all off with the absolutely journey of a tune that is Unseen. What starts out as just a single tight drum loop and a lethargic analogue synth, grows with additional drum action, bright synth walls, a unique bird song like vocal, until it explodes into a mad whirlwind of newschool beauty - truly something to behold.
Next, we've got a dynamite duo straight out of the Neurofunk centre that is the Czech Republic: Karpa and Zigi SC! While Karpa has been straight-up popping off in recent times, with releases on Skamele, Hoofbeats, Cause4Concern and Sinful Maze in just the last few months, Brno-based Vojtěch "Karpa" Karpíšek has been in this game since way back in 2013. A free download here, some Trap and Hip-Hop there, but once 2023 rolled around, it was full steam ahead! Similarly, Prague-based Neuro ambassador Ondrej "Zigi SC" Zegzulka has been smashing Dancefloors all over the continent, with regular appearances at Beats For Love, Let It Roll and Darkshire, since at least 2018, and in 2020, the first official productions followed. Labels like Close2Death, Empire, Sinful Maze, Cause4Concern, collaborations with A-Cray, Prdk, Confusion - especially the last year or so was filled with one banger after another. Now, these two regularly collaborating forces of nature once again collide to bring us Blood Payments! Rhythmically infectious, ridiculously danceable, bursting with Czech energy, that's a banger alright!
We keep on going further East, towards Yuzhnoukrainsk, the Ukrainian home town of CrucifyMe! While the project from Evgeniy Spotar is still rather fresh - his first release only landed in 2021 - he's already made his mark on NickBee's label Axon, Paperfunk, Invasion, T3K, Grid and many more, with his assortment of sounds from techy to funky minimal, earning himself a bunch of VISION Radio plays along the way. For this special debut on Blackout, Evgeniy reached out to none other than German power duo-trio-one-man-show Instinkt! Helmed by Mannheim-based veteran of the scene, label chief of T3K and genuine force for good in the underground, Florian "Kaiza" Kaiser, this project has seen all sorts of changes since its creation in 2014. Whether as just Kaiza and Rune, or together with Kill Tomorrow's Tomtek, Instinkt has always brought the heat, with releases on more minimal/deep labels like Lifestyle and Delta9 to more straight-forward Neuro platforms like Cause4Concern and Bad Taste, until the project came to a bit of stop in 2019. Until now, that is! On Dirty Mind, Evgeniy and Florian, alongside a couple others that might or might not be part of the new Instinkt group, join forces to deliver an absolute smasher of a tune, full of gnarly basses, forward-pushing rhythms and generally bass-face-causing sounds!
On our fourth stop, we take a trip to the place whose DnB scene was the subject of countless of outraged Facebook posts and Tweets: the United States! Straight outta Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tom Kinsey, aka Dropset, has gone from strength to strength, whether we're talking about his decades of DJing experience under the guidance of Depth One, his years of Neurofunk production mentored by the likes of Philth, Akov and Joe Ford, or his physical strength, thanks to his day job as a personal trainer and his blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Just like his Nage Waza, his productions are absolutely lethal, leading to releases on Abducted, Korsakov, Neuroheadz, Bad Taste, Eatbrain, and, like, so many more! In other words, it was only a matter of time, until Blackout joined the list, with Fracture. Not just the injury you might sustain from raving to this sort of music, but also a banging tune full of nasty, distorted basses, atmospheric sounds straight out of a horror movie and proper bonky snares.
Next, a rather PRFCT Man: it is Jev! Latvian at heart, but nowadays a proper UK lad(vian), and the surviving half of PRFCT Mandem - there's no story quite like Jevgenijs Semelis'. For those who don't know: Back in 2019, him and Aisling McDonough, also known as Aisling Zita, started their collaborative musical journey off with delightfully fun and incredibly energetic DJ sets on the Bloc2Bloc streams. However, there was way more to them: Not only were they running a YouTube Vlog channel documenting their progress as artists, they also ran a Patreon and put their heart, soul and humour into creating some sick, sick beats. After wow-ing the label manager at Korsakov with their submission to the Future Stars compilation, they signed on for a whole bunch of EPs, before trying their hand at doing things on their own for a bit. However, by the time 2022 rolled around, Aisling felt the project became a bit of an obligation instead of the fun creative outlet it once was, so they decided to call it quits. Lucky for us, Jev continued the madness on his own as it is Jev, blasting the scene with one insane self-release after the other, remixing Crissy Criss & Malux & Erb n Dub and Neonlight, and now apparently entering his Neuro arc, with Collapse! As always, chock-full of all sorts of manic switchups (you just wait for the Hardcore), ridiculous in-your-face sound design and just general insanity.
Lastly, we are finnishing things off with Finnish mad lad Viktor Hurskainen and his truly insane DnB project Teniak! One look at his socials might make you believe he's more of a travel influencer, but there's one thing he somehow loves even more than travelling: music! For around 20 years (!) now, Viktor has been pursuing one musical outlet after another, whether it's band projects, his music studies in London or composing for film and media, and since 2021, he's poured his energy into Teniak! Not always necessarily under the DnB umbrella, but always full-on crazy, his self-releases were already setting off banger alarms everywhere he went, eventually leading to double singles on ProgRAM and Ignescent in 2023, and, well, Blackout now! On Yetpak, Viktor effortlessly tosses us around the room, with a back-and-forth so viciously catchy, arranged in such a maniacally chaotic yet completely controlled manner, and filled with such menacing energy, that you can't help but love it.
A treasure trove of pure Neurofunk gold from all over the world. My dream, in other words.
Other Neurofunk from this week: - Tryst Temps - Pyramids EP - Khronos - Titan's Revenge - HighThere - Symphony Of Destruction

2024.03.26 20:11 Hurtdeer Finished the Mod, and felt compelled to share my thoughts about it

Disclaimer stuff: I played a dex focused build on Uchigatana (regular, upgraded to +6 in the end, never found a quality gem), got to level 55 by the end, played 3/5s of it pre-patch and so some of these thoughts may be outdated. Also: Spoilers, obviously
Also: whoops I accidentally made this really long so buckle up or close your tab. Both decisions are valid in this life
I'd like to start by saying this mod is outstanding. There is an absolute boatload going for it that would make the demo alone worth the same price as the two DLCs on launch. The fact it's free, and that there's presumably a lot more to come, also for free, is incredible. The amount of original work in level design, voice acting, 3d modelling, quest management, lore writing- it sets a bar higher than I've seen before, even considering the DS community already has a bunch of fantastic overhaul mods under its belt. Any of the problems I had with this mod (and I had a few), are vastly overshadowed by the things this mod does right. Realistically, modders don't have near the tools, experience or resources available to them that FromSoft would have in house, so managing to get it as close to the vanilla experience as it did, while adding their own creative new ideas- it's highly admirable.
The patch was highly welcome too. I had found the experience to be just a level of difficulty that was getting quite draining (and almost made me completely quit by the time I had gotten to the Sekiro bosses in Heide because I simply wasn't having fun) to something that was still challenging but felt considerably more fair about it. In a few hours I was finally able to complete Heide and Eluem Loyce with the level of persistence and enjoyment I had applied to the vanilla experience.
I've seen the people here talk about the difficulty like it's a good thing, and, yes, I had finished most of the game on that first patch- but I really disagree. The mod portends itself as a mid-series between DS 2 and 3, with its own story to tell, new areas to explore, and new systems to play with. This is the kind of thing that needs to have an easing in, less focus on "git gud" and more focus on this new world being enjoyed by the wider community. To put it another way: I think DS2 and DS3 would have been terrible games if they had started on the difficulty curve the previous game finished at. Besides, if you really want it to be that hard, then avoid levelling up, or go to one of the later levels early- there are options! But I'd personally much prefer if people who, say, loved DS3 but could never finish The Ringed City could still enjoy most of this game.
On level design- on the whole, very impressive. Carthus is the standout- The open area with bells to find feels like a mini-Elden Ring, and the Sandworm is terrifying. It would be nice if there was more warning before it burst out the ground, or it felt like my own actions were attracting it (like running too much), but as unfair as it can be, I love how on edge it put me when I was exploring. War Torn Village comes in second, not just on the immaculate vibes, but also because it feels like it had the most explorable maze-like quality to it with a ton of shortcuts, traversal opportunities, and hidden bosses. The other three, sadly, were so similar to the levels they were based on that it sucked a lot of the magic of them out for me. They weren't bad, and their redesigns were nice... but they were all levels I was quite intimately familiar with and had to rely on enemy placements alone to put any fear of pressing on in me.
There was also one thing that I found very strange. War Torn Village is the only level with annoying bonfire runbacks. And yet it's supposed to be the starting level? Yet, as the game progresses, it feels like Bonfires only become more generous and increasingly end up being a stones throw from the bosses. I'm probably in the "Bonfires should be generous and runbacks are boring" camp, as I'm spoiled by Elden Ring, but I don't mind them. Just struck me as a weird decision. The Cathedral as well seemed like it was plagued by useless dead ends- the outside had small indoor areas which are just there, and the rafters has a bit that contains two Winter Lanterns (that I was easily able to cheese by making them fall off chasing after me), but with no reward. Design wise this seems quite antithetical to what the vanilla games do- which could be fine... but then what's the point in them?
Enemy difficulty seemed all over the place too, on almost every level. So often encounters would feel like minibosses I had to learn mixed in with highly-telegraphed enemies that I could put down in my sleep. And the reward for killing them would always be the same- sometimes the easier enemies would be worth more. The best example I can think of this is Heide- the first half is an absolute gauntlet of some of the hardest enemies in the game, and then after the making it to the bonfire with the sleeping tree man, it turned into a sequence of some of the easiest. Going from enemies that could parry me into enemies I could get backstabs off in my sleep felt... off.
I like the additions of new skills, and the flask seems very powerful. Perfect parry is interesting, but it isn't taught well and it doesn't seem particularly useful. It *is* useful against the Sekiro moveset enemies... but it feels less risky and more suited to the engine to roll dodge to the side and punish. I know From likes to be cryptic, but I feel if this mechanic wants to be useful to the game, it should try and teach and reward it a bit better.
Alright, on the main event: the bosses. I know how Soulslikes are, and one person's favourite boss is another person most hated creature to exist. But these are my opinions, and they come with the fact that there could be entire strategies or intentions I missed so, or that fighting with a Katana isn't going to be the same as fighting with a Zweihander, so, take them as you will
Demon Vanguard: Nothing to say here. Nice to see an old friend. Would like to see him turn back up again as a mob in the way Demon Souls did.
Pus-filled Beast: I hated this, and it's for one specific reason. The first half is simple- I found it actually easier than Bloodborne's Cleric Beast (and, well, even on bad days I mop the floor with him), but it's the second half. It's the curse pools. The fact they blend into the floor and are virtually impossible to see. I had to die from experimentation too many times before I realised- counterintuitively- that the safest zone was right in his face. I really think this needs to be much, much, much visually clearer for this fight to be more fun than frustrating
Gertrude Angels: Fun until the buddy comes in. I did do this pre-patch, but the level of aggression from both of them combined with the camera's propensity to get caught in wings and statues really made this no fun at all. If the patch toned this aggression down, I don't know, but I hope so- doing a duo fight this early is a bold move, and, frankly, it was easily the worst one
Angelic Seige Golem: Not prticularly difficult, but frankly at this point I already appreciated the break. The new movesets and chase mechanics made him interesting, so no complaints
Omen: First bit was fun even if the hitboxes felt a bit wonky. Probably the most annoying runback in the game, though- not even because it's challenging. I think The Bed of Chaos has just made me sick to death of waiting to slide in to a boss arena. When he turned into an ulcerated tree spirit I said "what, really? This again?". I managed to completely wipe his second form without taking a hit the first time he turned, but, honestly, Elden Ring puts so many of these on you already I was already sick to death of this thing. Lore-wise, I get it, yea the pus of man is going cacacoocoo in the village, yea the animations were originally for a cut giant pus of man snake in DS3- but... ehhhhhh
Great Deep Accursed: Nice to see you again Paarl. Got him second try. It was fun enough. Not much to say
Aldritch: Controversial take apparantly, but easily my favourite boss in the game. Frankly a megaton more fun than vanilla Aldritch. A boss that made me really consider spacing, weaving around a room, finding my moments, and slowly earning my right to end this colossal wizard blob's life. Loved that you could take health off by taking care of the summoners quickly. My only criticism is that the huge box in the room made being able to retreat out of sight and rebuff/heal myself basically free whenever I felt like it. A bit cheap (although I still did it). But fighting him in the arena you actually expected to find him in DS3 gives me lore fuzzies, so I wouldn't want to move him. Most importantly- the only one that felt like I was experiencing a truly new boss for the first time. I imagine he still crimps moves from other legacy animations, but it all felt genuinely new and I couldn't rely on memory of previous games to help me.
Klimt: Godskin Apostle section is fine. I know these fights well, so, easy enough. Old One section suffers the same annoyance as Pus-filled Beast, however- I found it very hard to see where the blood-damaging pools would be, and the pillars around the edge really made identifying some projectiles (specifically the big red orb one) unnecessarily difficult. Finally realising the optimum strategy- wait til he slams his hands down and poke em from the edge with my pointy stick- made the fight kind of boring, if I'm to be honest.
Chaos Amalgamate: Comically easy boss. This games' Pinwheel. Absolutely bizarre to find him after quite a difficult area but... I guess that's also like Pinwheel. Still I absolutely floored this guy first go and felt kind of bad for the dude. A strange one to find after the game had already presented so many brick walls to me.
Sandworm: Uhh... terrifying presence in the overworld, then took surprisingly high damage from my fragile katana, despite being covered in armour, and just disappeared after i drained 2/3 of his life. Not even leaving any souls. Quite disappointing honestly.
Obediah: Absolute banger. Great build-up to him between the pyromancy lady and the bells, great moveset, Skeleton summoning provides a great "oh shit oh no" moment until you realise how manageable it generally is. Really no complaints here, a highlight of the game.
-note, from this point, I updated to the new patch-
Keeper of the Old Gods: Hi Vaati. Almost made me quit the game before the patch was released. Tracking was obnoxious, and honestly I felt like the game was telling me to stop playing DS3 and play it in a completely new way that wasn't explained. Then the patch comes and I beat him in two sittings. Still- and this continues to be a bit of a theme here- it feels like these Sekiro movesets really don't gel well with DS3 for me, and even when it got toned down and winning wasn't so tough, I can't say it satisfied me much. And his insta-kill finisher just feels narratively a bit cheap. He kills you and then says, oh you must be okay then? Why's he suddenly so powerful? Why does he instantly offer to sell me stuff after leaving all of my souls upstairs? Not a fan of it. Sorry Vaati.
Florian & Jessa: Almost the inverse problem of Gertrude's Angels. Neither of these two are aggressive enough and, honestly, kiting them around and taking them down slowly was just a little too easy. I like their designs a lot though, and the theming around them, and what beating them offers me, so, I'll give them a pass.
Disgraced Knight: My complaints about KotOG goes double here. Owl's movesets are frankly annoying to deal with in this engine, and him retaining his anti-healing gas doesn't help me. A lot of it felt... off. Like how he'd kick you but his followup kunai spray could never hit you no matter what you did. Didn't particularly enjoy it even if the patch made it manageable.
Pheonix: yeee boooii the visual design and mid-fight transition setpiece on this beast is unreal. Weird boss though. A DS1 boss means he's just a bit too slow to keep up with my speedy DS3 engine stick poking girl and so a lot of it felt fairly trivial... until he breaks out moves that are nearly impossible to see. Like the meteor rain in the transition, or his bird charges in the second half. Dying just felt like RNG sometimes. Still. Have to admit I did have a good time.
Janara: The Sekiro problem again. Although... I'll say I found this to be the hardest fight in the game, I didn't hate it as much as Disgraced Knight. Still, some things about it don't feel good, like how her five spinning slashes either mean learn how to perfect parry or hope your stamina is levelled up and able to do 5 dodgerolls when she starts. Some hitboxes felt veeeerrry wonky too, where I'd often die to something I *knew* I had rolled correctly. Not that vanilla DS3 is free of this particular sin.
Silver Knight: Got this guy first go. His animations seemed largely of the mid-beast boreal knight mobs from DS3 (i think?) and... this late in the game, did not feel particularly hard to deal with. Another strange drop in difficulty after the last few bosses.
Kremmel. Another banger. Weirdly a more manageable take on Radagon. I enjoyed the odd decision to make his knights fight against you until the transition, whereupon they switch sides... though it did make the second section considerably easier. DS2 makes you earn that backup, and I feel that should happen here, really. Weirdly, found it harder to fight him when I was helping Tsorig in his world, just because the greatsword wielding lunk really doesn't care for his own wellbeing, and I had to play considerably more risky just to stop him from dying.
Rimeblood Hati and his Good Boy: I'm not really a duo fight guy, but... this one is great. After really not enjoying the other two, this one finally hit the mark. The decision to have them take in turns on aggression made the fight interesting and had me thinking of different strategies on each try. Do I go for the defensive one? Do I engage the attacking one while luring him away from the other one so I don't get potshotted at? I had a good time. The jumpscare of Hati recovering life after I ended him got me, but it didn't end up being unmanageable.
Oh good christ I wrote a lot of words. Oh well. If you actually read all of this then I appreciate you. If you're on the dev team, I hope any of this is useful for you and isn't just the wayward ramblings of a philistine who doesn't understand your incredible artwork. I really think your team did an amazing job on this mod, and I'm very excited to see what you take away from this public playtesting experience and what the final result will be. Frankly, the fact I tagged 20 hours on a *demo* alone puts me in awe of what the ambitions for the full project will be, and I can't wait to see it.
I'd like to hear what anyone else thinks too. Tell me I'm a stupid asshole and obviously Chaos Amalgamate is the most difficult bullshit boss in the game and Sandworm is better than anything Miyazaki could even dream about. I'd like to hear it.
Cheers

2024.03.26 02:09 mopeiobebeast Bio: Variant Florian

The "Pit Boss"

"Look, man, I appreciate the sentiment, but you can't just charge off into the fray like that, okay? Let me handle it. I don't like my friends getting hurt."
Inspirations: Wander (Wander over Yonder), Mario (Super Mario Bros.), Kris (DELTARUNE), Leif (Bug Fables), Huey (DuckTales 2017), Peppino (Pizza Tower), Dipper Pines (Gravity Falls)
Leitmotifs: Sunset in the Petal Isles
Smackdown! (Battle)
Remedy (enraged)
Likes: Video games, Monster Hunter, Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Sandslash, friendship, making sandwiches, competitive battling, riding Koraidon
Chatter handle: Anjanath's Wrath (@needforspeed)
Luvdiscord handle: GO RED BOY GO (@needforspeed)
Voice headcanon: Huey (DuckTales 2017)
Probable Nature: Calm, Brave
Probable Ability: Super Luck, Friend Guard (Victory Star)
This calm, caring, yet somewhat adventurous soul is the "leader" of the so-called "Pit Crew", and one of Naranja Academy's most prized students. He has quite the list of phenomenal achievements: he took down Team Star, achieved Champion Rank within two weeks, fought all the Titans, defeated the Lousy Three multiple times and even took out their boss, trounced Kieran and the BB Elite Four, caught the legendary Chien-Pao, Ogerpon and Terapagos, and eventually saved Paldea from destruction. Also twice. All within a year.
His kindness by no means equates to weakness, as he's powerful enough to beat Nemona and even La Primera at her strongest, and he's a capable leader who comes up with brilliant strategies on the fly. He will gladly lay his life on the line for anybody he considers his friends, and gets along perfectly with almost anyone. If you have a problem of almost any sort, odds are he'll gladly be there to help. Almost always reasonable and level-headed, and he's more often then not the one keeping the rest of the Pit Crew from doing something lethally stupid. (Teko describes this as him being "like everyone's dad".) They fray his nerves a bit, but he still loves all of them. His reasoning for helping whoever he can isn't because he wants something out of it, but simply because it feels good. Exceedingly slow to anger: if he ever gets mad, you know he's extremely angry. Teko often calls him "bossman". Somehow, his sandwich-making skills are second to none, winning over the hearts of all who take even one bite of them. He was traumatized when he was forced to send AI Sada into the time machine, and still has trouble sleeping at night sometimes: he was subsequently overjoyed when she was found alive and (sorta) well in the present day. Despite his kindness, he's also somewhat violent, not hesitating to battle or beat up anyone who tries to harm him or his friends. The sworn arch-nemesis of the Lousy Three, whom he didn't catch (citing the fact that they're bandits) and are after him to steal Ogerpon's masks.
...Of course, you should know most of this already, had you played Scarlet/Violet.

Teammates:

Anjanath: Also known as "Agias", this Koraidon was a refugee from "Nergigante", a violent brute of a Koraidon holed up in the caverns of Area Zero, that was later bound to Sada's will. Gluttonous and not very bright, but is incredibly strong and will defend his friends with his life. Surprisingly adorable for something that can kick a hole through a man. He's the most powerful member of Florian's team, and carries him and all his friends with ease (both literally and figuratively.)
Barioth: The legendary Chien-Pao. Despite looking incredibly cruel and ferocious in battle, exhibiting overwhelming brutality and menace at every turn, he's actually not that bad: he's not even aware of how or why the way he looks is scary, and sees itself as playing.
Nilou: Florian's starter, a Quaquaval that he raised from a Quaxly. An immense show-off in battle, to the point Florian often has to rein her in. Works very well with Anjanath, due to being the first of Florian's team.
Nack: A Garganacl originally known as Saltop.
Shuten-Doji: The legendary Ogerpon. Incredibly strong for her size and stature. Hates the Lousy Four even more than the canon version due to being kidnapped by them once. She saw the innate good in Florian and picked him over Kieran, causing the latter to abandon everything in the pursuit of the respect he thought he lacked until Florian snapped him out of it.
Mauswheel: A Maushold, and the second Pokemon Florian caught on his journey, as a Tandemaus. They usually serve as a distraction in battle, allowing Anjanath or Shuten-Doji to close the gap while the enemy is trying to wrest them off them.
Duke: A Sandaconda caught in a Tera Raid. Usually, he's not the one doing the fighting, but is rather used as a weapon by Nilou or Anjanath. Teko noticed its resemblance to a shotgun and thought about using it as such, and thus taught Florian how to use it "right".
Wiggler: A Dudunsparce.
Teraphim: The legendary Terapagos. More akin to a newborn due to its centuries-long slumber, and doesn't exactly realize the full extent of its powers. Its existence, and its incredibly powerful Tera Crystals, are tied to the existence of Paradox Pokemon.

2024.03.24 14:02 ConsciousRun6137 Hitler; The Asset - Part 1

Hitler; The Asset - Part 1
TLDR; By now, it should be no surprise that some of the most seemingly venomous enemies we read about in history were only actors, following a script. Hitler being just another midget freak & WWII a bankers war, like WW1.
There have been many different takes on the World Wars, most people would see them as dark spots in history, & they were indeed. When one digs into the details of just “why” they occurred, just how they were choreographed and managed for the Equity Owners to extract their “Pound of Flesh” out of every living human being by the price of Death; the view becomes even more stark than just a ‘dark spot.’
It can be argued that there has not been a TRUE ORGANIC war between Nation States for at least 200 years.
All Wars are Bankers Wars.
So, if Wars are of course not happening unless they are really being managed, the question could be: “How do they ‘Manage’ Wars?” The following information from Firestarter’s research is a good example of just how it may have happened in WW2 and Hitler’s Germany. Keep in mind, I’m NOT trying to diminish any of the real sacrifices that were made by either side, they were real lives that should always be remembered & honered; to that end, it makes for all the more importance to see the truth.

In Recent News:

There is one Parasitic Pedophile who just died, he had been a “Manager of Wars” for quite some time; Henry Kissinger finally took a dirt nap. There are many individual managers like Henry Kissinger unfortunately, some are current and former politicians. Hitler was likely in a similar position, although he seemed to have had such a populist following, he may very well have been working WITH interests located in the City of London & AGAINST the interest of Germany.

Hitler sabotages German army - USSR, Dunkirk, Normandy

According to mainstream history falsifiers, the German Nazis, including Adolf Hitler, made an awful lot of mistakes.
But to me it looks like they intentionally sabotaged the German army... Russia – Moscow and Stalingrad – 1941, 1942 By common consensus the beginning of the defeat of Nazi Germany was the mistake to invade the Soviet Union. Starting in 1942, Adolf Hitler took full control of all important decisions for the army and regularly brushed aside the advice of his military experts. Most days, Hitler stayed up till 4 a.m. or so, and slept till noon, when he would hold his first military conference of the day... Hitler also regularly told his staff that they weren’t allowed to wake him under any circumstance. Madness
Mistake #1 During the winter of 1941-42, the Wehrmacht in Russia around Moscow suffered over a million casualties after they were “surprised” when a division of well-equipped Russians materialized “seemingly out of nowhere” and attacked. Mistake #2 In the late spring of 1942, Hitler left Moscow & steered the German Army to the Caucasus. Traveling huge distances will defeat any army.
Mistake #3 His new “strategy” was to grab the oil fields in the Caucasus and seize Stalingrad. To add to the confusion, Hitler added 52 non-German divisions with questionable training & skills.
Mistake #4 Hitler first directed the Fourth Panzer Army away from Stalingrad to aid the First Panzer Army which was already approaching the oil fields. Then the Führer decided to turn the Fourth Panzer Army completely around & send it back toward Stalingrad.
Mistake #5 Then suddenly Hitler ordered the attack on Stalingrad & at the same time take the oil fields. Senior strategists urged Hitler to take Stalingrad first using all available resources, & then go for the oil fields. Instead Hitler pushed for an impossible strategy…
Mistake #6 German’s Blitzkrieg strategy relied on heavy tanks & motorized infantry that needed room to move. To make their mission impossible, Hitler used artillery bombardments to create blocked streets & broken cement in Stalingrad. This not only blocked the heavy infantry but was also used for cover by thousands of Russian infantrymen.
Mistake #7 With German casualties piling up at 20,000 men a day, Hitler pulled divisions from his outer defenses & sent them in one-by-one (to make it easier to defeat them). By sending so many rear units into Stalingrad, Hitler eroded his outer sectors, leaving the defense to the 52 non-German divisions with questionable training & skills. Then the German army was taken in a “surprise” Russian attack. In just 3 days, Russian troops blasted their way through the crumbling lines and encircled & trapped the entire Sixth Army inside Stalingrad. Thousands of wounded, starving German infantrymen in Stalingrad froze to death amid subzero temperatures.
Mistake #8 Erich von Manstein’s troops were first sent to help, but when they were within 30 miles of Stalingrad were ordered to pull back. Mistake #9 Hitler ordered the Luftwaffe to provide the Sixth Army with supplies, but Russian anti-aircraft guns and fighter planes blasted them out of the sky (possibly they had advance knowledge...). Mistake #10 General Kurt Zeitzler now pleaded with Hitler to let (the remnants of) the Sixth Army attempt a breakout to the south to link up with Manstein. Hitler blatantly refused. On 8 January 1943, the Russians presented surrender terms. These were reluctantly turned down by General Paulus, on Hitler's direct order. Two days later, the Russians blasted the remaining Germans with 5000 artillery guns, followed a week later by a massive infantry assault. Out of the original 285,000 Sixth Army soldiers, 165,000 died, while some 29,000 wounded had been air lifted out. The remaining 91,000 spent years of captivity in Russian POW camps: http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/d ... ingrad.htm (archived here: http://archive.is/xOPL1) Dunkirk – May 1940
Mistake #11 In May 1940, General Paul von Kleist's panzers were only 18 miles from Dunkirk, in an operation that could have scooped up the entire northern Allied force. Then on 24 May 1940, Hitler issued the infamous ''Halt Order'' that countermanded the order by the Wehrmacht's Commander-in-Chief, General Walther von Brauchitsch, & that the line of Lens–Bethune–Saint-Omer–Gravelines "'will not be passed''. Kleist afterwards recalled: I must say that the English managed to escape that trap in Dunkirk which I had so carefully laid, only with the personal help of Hitler. There was a channel from Arras to Dunkirk. I had already crossed this channel and my troops occupied the heights which jutted out over Flanders. Therefore, my panzer group had complete control of Dunkirk & the area in which the British were trapped. The fact of the matter is that the English would have been unable to get into Dunkirk because I had them covered. Then Hitler personally ordered that I should withdraw my troops from these heights. We could have wiped out the British Army completely if it weren't for the stupid order of Hitler. General Gerd von Rundstedt (more on Von Rundstedt below) was given the blame for the “Halt Order”. Von Rundstedt vehemently denied: If I had had my way the English would not have got off so lightly at Dunkirk. But my hands were tied by direct orders from Hitler. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/5902 ... f-war.html (archived here: http://archive.is/WVBak) Sabotaging D-day – 6/6/’44 You may have heard about the cardboard army that completely fooled the Nazi command or about spies being sent out with information on the fake invasion. In reality there was no way that the 6 June 1944 could have been a success ,except for the sabotage of Hitler & his close associates. It’s impossible that a defence strategy would have been chosen that would single out any place for the possible landing of the Allied invasion. There are also stories that the resistance destroyed the radar, of course this would have been a warning sign for the Germans...
Mistake #12 Adolf Hitler issued a directive that Germany’s armored forces, which were kept back from the beaches, could only be deployed upon his personal order. Mistake #13 A number of key German commanders were absent from their posts during the critical hours of 6 June 1944. General Friedrich Dollmann (commander of the Seventh Army in Normandy), Lt. Gen. Heinz Hellmich (commander of the 243rd Division), and Maj. Gen. Wilhelm Falley had all left the Normandy coast for war-games exercise at Rennes. Admiral Theodor Krancke (naval commander in the west) was on his way to Bordeaux. Maj. Gen. Edgar Feuchtinger (commander of the 21st Panzer Division) was heading to Paris for a rendezvous with his mistress. Field Marshal Erwin Rommel had left Normandy for his wife’s 50th birthday in Germany: http://warfarehistorynetwork.com/daily/ ... -mistakes/ (archived here: http://archive.is/DPc7l) Mistake #14 The only German high-command officer, who responded correctly to the coming invasion, was Field Marshal Gerd von Rundstedt. Two hours before the landings began, Von Rundstedt ordered the 2 available reserve panzer divisions, the 12th SS Panzer and Panzer Lehr, to move to Caen. He judged that the airborne landings were on such a large scale that they weren’t a mere deception. The only place the landings could come in lower Normandy was on the Calvados & Cotentin coasts. Hitler had given orders that he wasn’t to be awakened for any reason. At 07:30, Jodi informed Von Rundstedt that the divisions could not be committed until Hitler gave the order, & Hitler was still sleeping. Hitler slept until noon.
Mistake #15 It was 16:00 when Hitler finally gave his approval. By then the Allied fighters and bombers were ready for them (we can’t rule out advance knowledge…). The panzers had to take shelter in the woods & wait for darkness before continuing their march. Hitler didn’t even try to hide his joy over the coming destruction of Germany and exclaimed: "It's begun at last". He confided to Hermann Göring: They are landing here, & here: just where we expected them! Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels said: "Thank God, at last. This is the final round". Mistake #16 On the afternoon of June 6, Hitler ordered the V-1 attacks on London. It took 6 days to bring the heavy steel catapult rigs that were in hiding to prevent them from being used immediately. When it started on June 12, the only attainable result could be to prove to the world what scumbags the Nazis were. If the beaches and artificial harbours of Normandy, jammed with men, had been bombed they possibly could have still stopped the Allied forces: http://www.worldwar2history.info/D-Day/Hitler.html (archived here: http://archive.is/QEg9Z) The Devon beach massacre – 27 April 1944 In a “friendly fire” disaster during training exercises for D-day, scores of US soldiers died in a mock invasion at Slapton Sands and their corpses were secretly buried. This incident was covered-up: https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2004/may/16/military.usa (archived here: http://archive.is/Ie416) This is important, because it is improbable that the German Nazis didn’t know about this, & - as the Devon beaches are similar to Normandy - it shows that German intelligence could have known that Normandy would be the spot for the Allied invasion.

Hitler - Nero Decree, Morgenthau plan, General Patton

A lot of people know that the Allied forces murdered hundreds of thousands innocent civilians by bombing German & Japanese cities, but refuse to see that the “good guys” didn’t win WW II...
Nero decree
By March 1945, the Third Reich had already been decimated to Germany, some territory in central Europe, northern Italy, Denmark, Norway & part of Holland. On 19 March 1945, Adolf Hitler once again showed himself the enemy of Germany, by ordering the complete destruction of German infrastructure. Hitler was reported to have died only 6 weeks later - on 30 April 1945. It was officially titled “Befehl betreffend Zerstörungsmaßnahmen im Reichsgebiet (Destructive Measures on Reich Territory Order) and was subsequently nicknamed the Nero Decree. See (translated) sections from the Order: 1. All military transport and communication facilities, industrial establishments and supply depots, as well as anything else of value within Reich territory, which could in any way be used by the enemy immediately or within the foreseeable future for the prosecution of the war, will be destroyed. 2. It is the responsibility of the military command posts to execute this order to destroy all military objects, including traffic & communications installations. The Gauleiters and Commissioners for Reich Defense are responsible for destroying the industrial and supply installations, as well as of other objects of valuable; the troops must give the Gauleiters & Commissioners for Reich Defense the assistance they need to carry out this task.
According to history falsifiers the plan was sabotaged by German Minister Albert Speer (1905-1981), who after expressing his fundamental opposition, requested Hitler to give him full responsibility for the execution of the Order. The order had local Gauleiters (district Nazi Party leaders) and Reich defence commissioners destroying: factories, farms, power plants, railroad lines, bridges, dams, & military and supply installations. Some Gauleiters followed their orders, including Dusseldorf's Friedrich Karl Florian, but others supposedly refused. The needed explosives weren’t available to carry out the complete destruction: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/8656 ... tml?pg=all (archived here: http://archive.is/uaKe0)

Morgenthau plan

Basically Hitler’s 1945 Nero Decree was following the 1944 Morgenthau plan, devised by US secretary of the treasury Henry C. Morgenthau Jr. (written by Harry Dexter White). Again according to history falsifiers not implemented, but I don’t know a single difference with JCS 1067... Some have estimated that from 1945 till 1950 Germany some 9 million Germans died from starvation. The plan to dismantle German industrial capacity was first discussed in August 1944 at the British headquarters of General Dwight Eisenhower. Morgenthau & Eisenhower agreed that Germany needed a "good & hard" treatment. According to history falsifiers, when US President Roosevelt, British PM Winston Churchill, British foreign secretary Anthony Eden, US secretary of state Cordell Hull and US secretary for war Henry L. Stimson first heard of the plan in September 1944, they all protested vigorously, because it would prevent Germany from feeding itself. Hull argued that 40% of the German population would die. That sounds almost philanthropic… In the 24 November 1947 New York Post Morgenthau himself wrote:
The Morgenthau Plan for Germany became part of the Potsdam Agreement, a solemn declaration of policy & undertaking for action, signed by the United States of America, Great Britain & the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
Besides dividing Germany in a West and East part, in July and August 1945 the occupying armies took 25% of Germany's most fertile land & placed it under Russian & Polish control, forcibly expelling about 16 million people, according to British writer Victor Gollancz "with the very maximum of brutality". The Allies forbade emigration (except to Israel?) and kept millions of prisoners in forced-labour camps (some Nazi concentration camps remained to be used). Some 4,160,000 Germans were forced to slave labour outside Germany: 3,000,000 in Russia, 750,000 in France, 400,000 in Britain and 10,000 in Belgium. General Dwight D. Eisenhower labelled them Disarmed Enemy Forces to violate the Geneva Convention. Some 1.4 million died in the Allied concentration camps, of which according to the Soviets 450,600 in their camps. The production of oil, tractors, steel & other products that were essential to food production was stopped. They cut fertilizer production by 82%. They under-valued German exports, depriving Germans of cash needed to import food. During the first 6 months after the “end” of the war, Germany's industrial production fell by 75%. Captain Albert Behnke compared German and Dutch starvation: in much of Germany the ration set by the occupying Allies was around 1,000 calories per day & for more than 2 years never more than 1,550. The Dutch in the “Hongerwinter” of 1944, 1945 always got more than 1,394 calories per day. In 1947, a paper from the US State Department by Robert Murphy showed that the US statistical projection of births, immigration and officially reported deaths over the next 3 years the German population should be 71 million, but "to be conservative and in view of the present high death rate in Germany, a figure of 69 million will be used". This not only showed that millions died since the “liberation” in 1945, but also that the official number were falsified to hide what was going on. The 1950 census showed 5.7 million people less than there should have been according to the number of people recorded in the 1946 census. Canadian writer and TV producer Robert Allen, described the scene in a Berlin railway station as the refugees arrived in late 1945:
They were all exhausted, starved, & miserable. A child only half alive; A woman in the most terrible picture of despair I've seen. Even when you see it, it's impossible to believe, God it was terrible.
http://library.flawlesslogic.com/bacque_1.htm (archived here: http://archive.is/lam95) Have you seen the pictures of the starved concentration camp prisoners (after the Allied forces bombed food transports)? See some severely malnourished German children, starved by the Allied “heroes”:
https://preview.redd.it/ft8vclb6w9qc1.png?width=248&format=png&auto=webp&s=0644eaa09536f8a98e9458ead0f89aa9725ae2b7

Some extracts from the Morgenthau plan:

  1. The Ruhr Area. Here lies the heart of German industrial power, the cauldron of wars. This area should not only be stripped of all presently existing industries but so weakened & controlled that it can not in the foreseeable future become an industrial area. The following steps will accomplish this: (a) Within a short period, if possible not longer than 6 months after the cessation of hostilities, all industrial plants & equipment not destroyed by military action shall either be completely dismantled & removed from the area or completely destroyed. All equipment shall be removed from the mines & the mines shall be thoroughly wrecked. It is anticipated that the stripping of this area would be accomplished in three stages: (i) The military forces immediately upon entry into the area shall destroy all plants & equipment which cannot be removed. (ii) Removal of plants and equipment by members of the United Nations as restitution & reparation. (iii) All plants and equipment not removed within a stated period of time, say 6 months, will be completely destroyed or reduced to scrap and allocated to the United Nations. (…) (d) by forced German labor outside Germany; & (e) by confiscation of all German assets of any character whatsoever outside of Germany.
On 10 May 1945, President Truman approved JCS 1067 which directed the US forces of occupation in Germany to:
Take no steps looking toward the economic rehabilitation of Germany [nor steps] designed to maintain or strengthen the German economy.
The net effect was that Germany couldn’t produce or import enough food; 1947 was the worst year. William Clayton reported to Washington that "millions of people are slowly starving". The occupation directive remained secret. It was made public on 17 October 1945, after much of it had been incorporated in the Potsdam Agreement. Dwight D. Eisenhower "loaned" US Treasury officials to the Army of occupation - "Morgenthau boys", to ensure that the JCS 1067 was interpreted as strictly as possible. They continued their activities for more than 2 years after the resignation of Morgenthau in mid-1945. Germany was to be reduced to the standard of life it had known in 1932. The occupation forces ensured that German standards of living wouldn’t exceed the average level of European neighbors. In 1946, the first "level of industry" plan stated that German heavy industry must be lowered to 50% of its 1938 levels by the closing of 1,500 manufacturing plants. The production of oil, rubber, merchant ships, & aircraft were prohibited. No new locomotives were built until 1949, most industries had their production halved, automobile production was 10% of its 1936 level, etc. The amount of loans to Germany through the Marshall Plan (about $1.4 billion in total) was far overshadowed by the amount the Germans had to pay back as war reparations & the about $2.4 billion per year to the Allies for the ongoing cost of occupation. In July 1947, after more than 2 years of effective starvation of the Germans, President Harry S. Truman rescinded JCS 1067 and replaced it with JCS 1779. JCS 1779 wasn’t nearly as brutal as the previous 2 years under JCS 1067, but it included breaking up the relationships between German banks. By limiting them to short-term financing only, they prevented the rehabilitation of German industry.
The following official 26 February 1947 paper shows that the Allied “heroes” knew very well that they were effectively starving Germany to death; see from page 275.
(C) Over half of the 6,595,000 children and adolescents, especially in the lower-income groups, are in a deplorable condition. Their situation is better in limited localities where school feeding has been undertaken but outside these limits stunted growth and delayed development is widespread. In some areas famine edema (actual starvation) is appearing in the children. A study of groups of boys between the ages 9 and 16 years showed 5.5 lbs. under minimum standard weights, with girls 5.1 lbs. below such standard. Other groups studied showed even worse conditions. (D) A considerable part of the "normal consumer" group of 17,910,000 is likewise in deplorable condition.
https://hoover.archives.gov/sites/defau ... 5_full.pdf (http://web.archive.org/web/201909301457 ... 5_full.pdf) In late March or early April 1945, an eye witness was sent to guard a POW camp near Andernach along the Rhine. About 50,000 prisoners of all ages were held in an open field surrounded by barbed wire. The women were kept in a separate enclosure. The men had no shelter or blankets; many had no coats; they slept in the wet and cold mud, with inadequate slit trenches for excrement. Their misery from exposure alone was evident. Dysentery raged, and soon they were sleeping in their own excrement, too weak and crowded to reach the slit trenches. Many were begging for food, sickening and dying. Most of the guards didn’t help them at all. Famine was also spreading among the German population. It was a common sight to see German women look in the garbage cans for something to eat.
