Even though we’re strangers, it's past 11 PM on the East Coast, and I’ve had a full day working on projects and doing estimates, I’m buzzing with energy. Why? Because I know how crucial it is for us to have a space where the real pros separate from the amateurs.

A little about me... I grew up in NYC, the son of a building superintendent/handyman since I was about 8 years old (turning 45 this summer). My family is a crew of skilled craftsmen: my brother, an epoxy floor specialist; my cousin, an ornamental iron specialist; another cousin, a woodworker; and another, a tile specialist. It’s in the blood. I didn’t specialize; I became a jack of all trades but master of none, learning from incredibly talented people.
For years, I treated my handyman service as a side hustle. In 2012, I got hooked on leveraging the internet to grow businesses through branding, marketing, advertising, sales, customer service, and more. I grew a few businesses from scratch with these skills, even stepping away from handyman services for a while. Then, after my partner and I parted ways, I needed a quick way to make money without getting a job. Naturally, I turned back to my handyman service.
I applied everything I learned into building a professional handyman business. By the third month, I was hitting over $10K a month. It’s easier to achieve in big cities. I provide great quality work, but my invoicing success came from knowing how to leverage our tools to stand out and attract clients powerfully.
Fast forward to June 2023, I relocated to Orlando. Sold my NYC business and started fresh in Florida. Within a week, I had my first client, and by the third month, I was almost at $7K that month, despite dropping my prices by 30% to match market rates. 😡
Enough about me. This is about us. I’m thrilled to share the “secrets” I’ve discovered that big companies (Thumbtack, HomeAdvisor, etc.) use to capture our clients and then sell them to us. Dear Insta360 team,
In the last month, I have purchased a one RS 1-inch 360 edition, an Ace Pro, an X4, two black Go 3, one white Go 3, and a spare standalone Go 3 camera in both black and white, so I have learned a lot about your company. I think you guys are really innovating, but please do try to follow USA ethical and legal standards more as they exist for a reason.
Now, to the topic of this post: can you please help me understand why you have added charging contacts to the bottom of the action pod for the Go 3? There are charging contacts on both the Go 3 camera AND the action pod, and yet Insta360 doesn't sell anything like the charging quick connector that is for sale on Amazon.
So anyway, I ordered one of the pivot stand versions of the powered quick connector to see if it can be used as a charging dock for the action pod so I don't have to plug a USB cable into the action pod every time, and I ordered one of the non-pivot stand versions as well to see if I can make a power pendant with a small USB power bank I found with exactly the same design aesthetic of a little white lozenge that you used on the standalone camera unit. If this product works as advertised then I won't need the action pod at all and can leave it at home since the app can do pretty much everything the action pod can do.
In addition to a power pendant with quick connector for the standalone camera, there needs to be a powered hat clip with quick connector. I have been trying to invent one with aftermarket parts but it won't really look right, the way the hat clip looks minimalist and unobtrusive.
You should know, I really do think many people come to this camera for the truly unique shot possibilities but, having watched a crap ton of reviews, I think they stay for the unobtrusive POV vlogging while getting coffee and getting on the plane and stuff... places you'd feel weird filming, but you totally do not with the Go 3 on the pendant or hat clip. Without the LED on, people don't even know they are being filmed and act naturally. You'll probably even forget you're wearing it yourself, capturing all the natural life around you that you'd miss owning any other camera that you'd have to bust out and power on, or wear some sort of chest mount and look weird.
p.s. "How good is the Insta360 Go 3" (hint: its indestructible!) and ""Insta360 Ace Pro had a major flaw. So I fixed it." both by make(dot)art(dot)now (no dots so it doesn't become a link) are a must watch on Youtube. You guys struck gold with this guy! He's as much fun as the guys who throw stuff off of a dam to see if it will bounce, and way smarter. Free advice: get him to make more videos for you.
p.p.s. why no diopter for the Ace Pro to fit like the ND filters like this guy suggested? Sure, there's aftermarket 49mm and 52mm adapters, but you should absolutely offer one that would slip on and off easily and not have to be unscrewed and oversized.

Somewhere between 90 and 95% of openers I get are either "hi" or "hey." So literally anything else puts you sonewhere in the top 10%. Even "HEY ASSHOLE! would at least be memorable. So I wouldn't sweat it too much; the bar is set really low.

ANA tests

Positive ANA does not equal lupus! While more of a rule out screening (negative ANA = very unlikely to have SLE). Upwards of 15-20% of healthy individuals in the population at large will have a positive ANA. Only about 10-15% of people who have a positive ANA will later be diagnosed with SLE.

Tests used in diagnosing lupus

• anti-dsDNA - anti-Double Strand DNA is sometimes automatically tested for, but may need to be ordered separately. This test, when highly positive (2-3 times max cut off at least) is almost exclusively seen in SLE. However, only about 30% of SLE patients have this antibody. It's great if it's there to confirm diagnosis, it does not rule out diagnosis if it is absent.
• ENA Panel - Extractable Nuclear Antigen panel, usually automatically done if ANA comes back positive
• anti-Sm - Anti-Smith. Typically included in the ENA panel. This is another antibody, that when highly positive, almost always means SLE, but only about 25% of SLE patients have this antibody.
• RNP - Anti-Ribonucleoprotein. Typically included in the ENA panel
• anti-chromatin - Anti-chromatin is a relative newcomer in diagnostic testing for SLE and probably will NOT be ordered automatically. Its exact utility in diagnosis is still being determined.
• Apl panel - Antiphospholipid Antibody Panel, which consists of 3 tests:
  • LA - lupus anticoagulant
  • aCL - anti-cardiolipin antibodies
  • Anti-β2GP - anti-beta 2-glycoprotien antibodies
• CBC - Complete Blood Count, some abnormalities in WBC, RBC and PLT counts can be significant.
• CMP - Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, here the doctors are generally looking for kidney dysfunction (GFR, BUN/CR).
• ESR - Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, this is a nonspecific inflammation marker.
• CRP- C-Reactive Protein, another nonspecific inflammation marker.
• C3 - Compliment C3
• C4 - Compliment C4
• CH50 - Compliments, Total, these are part of the compliment system, which is a tertiary part of the immune system.

Also, if you suspect you have a rash, getting a biopsy of it done at a dermatologist’s office can be helpful as the pathologist can identify histological evidence of lupus.

Diagnostic Process

The rheumatologist/PCP will take a detailed history. I highly recommend writing down as many of your symptoms as possible, especially focusing on the symptoms you have that are in the American College of Rheumatology diagnostic criteria for lupus - see link above.
Include all your symptoms, but I would make those at the top of the list. Write down how long they’ve been going on, anything that makes them better or worse, and how much they impact your life. Do they prevent you from dressing yourself, eating/cooking, bathing yourself, doing hobbies, meeting your obligations?
ANA varies from person to person and doesn’t necessarily correlate with disease activity. Anti-dsDNA is more indicative of disease activity and can be elevated prior to and during a flare. Symptoms can also come and go, and over time you may develop additional symptoms. If you scroll through the last week of posts or so, there are a few posts that will have pretty detailed answers to your questions from multiple community members so you can get a better sense of just how full on fickle lupus can be.

I'm looking for writing partners interested in setting up some original guy/established woman in pro wrestling roleplays. A couple of years ago, I was feeling overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff I had accumulated over the years. It wasn't just physical items either – my digital life was a mess, my schedule was packed, and I felt like I was always running from one obligation to the next without ever really accomplishing anything meaningful.
One day, while aimlessly scrolling through YouTube, I stumbled upon a video about minimalism. The concept was simple: reduce the excess in your life to make room for what truly matters. It struck a chord with me, and I found myself binge-watching minimalism videos, reading articles, and even picking up a few books on the subject. The more I learned, the more I realized that this was something I desperately needed.
The Purge: Letting Go of Physical Clutter
I decided to start with my physical belongings. Armed with some basic guidelines (like Marie Kondo’s famous question: "Does this spark joy?"), I began the daunting task of decluttering my home. I won’t lie – it was hard. There were things I had held onto for years, convinced I might need them someday, or items with sentimental value that I felt guilty about letting go. But as I slowly worked through each room, I started to feel lighter, both physically and mentally.
Clothes were the first to go. I realized I only wore a fraction of what I owned, so I donated or recycled the rest. Next came books, kitchen gadgets, and miscellaneous items. Hello guys! I’m not a professional, so music is my hobby. Therefore, I have a few questions:

1. When making an instrumental song, is it okay to make the notation in musescore and then play it through an instrument in Logic Pro to sound good? Or do people really record a mix of instruments live to publish it?
2. Is mastering with AI is acceptable? Yes, I know how to master myself, and I do mastering myself, like EQ, compressor, and other stuff. But AI mastering sounds like a “perfect final completion” for this. What do you think?
3. How do you record your vocals? Is simple reverberation better than singing your song twice and overlaying your voice over your voice to add volume to it? Cause, you know, 80% of sounds have a lot of volume in vocals in it and don’t sound like raw audio singing.

not sure if anyone else has this insecurity, but i have hated my hip dips for so long and they truly ruin so many different types of clothes i want to wear. lots of people who have this insecurity about their hip dips say that the insecurity initially stemmed from tik tok, but for me personally it was pro-ana tumblr and also seeing a 'defect' that i didn't notice anyone else having.
because of my hip dips, my butt just looks so lumpy if that makes sense? it's worse in certain bottoms (e.g., biker shorts). it really limits what i can wear because i don't want it to be noticeable.
additionally, i have fluctuated in weight the past 4-5 years. i am on the smaller side, but a few years ago i was MUCH thinner. i know it's normal to gain weight - especially considering 4-5 years ago i was a teenager - and there is nothing wrong with it, but it's hard for me since i'm already very critical of my body. my bdd has worsened even with a very small amount of weight gain. i'm also 5'2" so i feel like weight gain is very obvious on me, even if it's only a couple pounds. i also can't tell if my hip dips looked better or worse when i was a few pounds slimmer. i feel like they've looked worse since i've gained a few pounds but i also might just be delusional. nobody else has noticed much of a change except me.
i just want to be able to wear the clothes i like without worrying about my hip dips and other attributes that i dislike. like bathing suits, leggings and crop tops (i usually wear an oversized shirt or sweater with leggings in order to hide my hip dips lol), tight skirts and shorts, etc.

Whenever I get bumped or hit the ball to hard its like a 50% chance that my input delay becomes insanely bad and it is way worse in the air. Air dribbling is a nightmare my flip resets leave my car stuck to the ball or the car starts spazzing out.
