Please keep an open mind and I have to say, if you're going to call me crazy or delusional please do not Comment as these are real people doing this to me. I'm extremely desperate for ideas and help and the local PD, even FBI was no help.
It started 3 years ago I began hearing people talking to me around the house, in every room including bedroom, bathroom, everywhere. Also my car. The most upsetting place I still hear it is when I am out of the house, say walking around a store, even without My cell phone on me, I hear them. For 3 years now they have listened to me, not stopped speaking to me (harrassing, mocking, bullying, spying) even during sex, the shower, while using the toilet, it doesn't matter. They also describe my movements and comment on things I do saying they can see me and have cameras in the house. I have searched and also had a private investigator search but have found nothing.
What it sounds like is a voice coming from a hidden speaker, volume low so that you have to focus on it and strain to hear it. It's not obvious and loud, it's mixed in with the background. They respond to me, actual conversations, so I believe there is a microphone also.
The scariest part is being able to be heard when not talking out loud, talking under my breath can still be heard by them and they respond to it and question me on basically my thoughts it feels like. It's crippling anxiety Inducing and a huge Invasion of privacy.
This whole time they have pretended to be other people (cops, random friends, exes, family) hiding their identity, and In the beginning I would reach out to these people to ask if it was them, until one by one everyone just assumes I'm on drugs and crazy.
The local PD hasn't helped at all, they actually have baker acted me, my girlfriend had baker acted me, took my firearm and also DCF became involved which is a huge disaster but still caused by the stalker, as I initially went to the cops for help and they didn't focus on the stalker at all, just on my mental health.
What I need are some ideas on what exactly they are using to be able to hear me, possible locations for the speakers as well as what type. I have searched my clothes for transmitters and have searched receptacles for speakers but nothing yet. Hired a guy to sweep as well and he didn't find anything either. Also any other ideas on who I can contact for help if Noone else is listening or taking me seriously, please this has been a living hell for 3 years every day.
They don't stop or cease communicating with me for a minute, it's constant constant talking, Commenting, questioning, harrassing, it has impacted everything I have lost jobs over it as I dreaded going to work while it was happening and family and friends to question my stability and mental health.
My phone is also being remotely viewed or mirrored as they actively and in real time comment and talk about what I am doing on it. So this is added stress since it involves things like finances, passwords, personal convos etc. I have anti Spyware apps installed but any idea how I can find out if it's being monitored?

I'm currently in the market for a new phone, and I've been waiting for the introduction of the new Xperia 1 VI for a long time, that maybe now would be the right time to try it.
There are three things about Xperias that interest me: the autofocus speed, the mechanical shutter trigger, and the design of the side and back without a huge camera module (I would rather take the front with a full display and a cut for the camera but I can live with bezels) since I always use the phone without a case the design is important for me.
But since I started to think more seriously about Xperia, I keep reading somewhere about problems with the fingerprint scanner, whether it is a mechanical defect or a malfunction after a SW update. Is this really common with these phones? This is especially crucial considering that Xperia does not offer face unlock via the selfie camera.
Although I would be happy with the camera functions, I don't take pictures every day that require faster autofocus as competitors. Instead, I unlock my phone countless times a day, and I would be extremely annoyed if I had to enter a pin every time, as I did ten years ago before fingerprint scanners.
Of course, there is an option not to use security, but I use the fingerprint scanner not only when unlocking, but also when entering logins/passwords to websites and bank applications, so there is no way not to use the screen lock.
I currently have both a fingerprint scanner in the display and a face unlock on my phone, and as soon as I take the phone out of my pocket and look at it, it's unlocked, if by chance it doesn't register my face, I solve it with my finger, and when the phone is lying on the table, I just put my index finger, and that's it.
And one additional question, how is Sony doing with warranty service? There are no official Sony stores in our country, so it has to be sent somewhere, but do they resolve complaints quickly? With the last two Samsungs, when I had a problem, I took the phone to the store/service, they offered me a replacement phone during the repair and I was done within a week, can I expect something similar from Sony (without replacememt phone ofc)?
I apologize for the possibly stupid questions and long post, but when I have to pay €1399 for a phone, I want to be clear about important things for me so that I don't cry for years that I made a mistake with Sony (especially if the used Sony is basically unsaleable, when I buy OnePlus or Samsung I can sell it after month with 100€ loss, Sony could be sold at a loss of maybe €500, but the resale value of the used one does not have much weight for me except in this situation, because I keep the phones while they are usable and I don't change them every year or two)

Hopefully you might be able to offer a little macOS scripting insight to a Linux guy roped into this environment :). I've been working on this for about a week now with mixed success and since I'm the only person in the place who knows bash it's time to ask for help from the internet lol
I'm currently trying to get a script working that uses BIG RAT's tool called Mobile To Local from here(Version 2.6.1: https://github.com/BIG-RAT/mobile_to_local
I want my users to be able to opt into in themselves via the Self Service and ideally with 1 click on the install button, get their currently logged in account converted to a Local Account.
I have tested my script on 6 machines(4 are VM's in UTM) with various versions from Big Sur to Sonoma and it's successful on 5 of them, converting the logged in user no problem with a single click of the Install button from Self Service except for my M1 Mac Studio with my own personal account. Upon editing my script to spit out the variable containing the user who is running the script as a notification, on the other machines it returns my test users username or on one of them my own username(a physical iMac) but on the problem Mac Studio where again my personal account it logged in it actually returns the user as root instead of myself.
How can I include logic in the script to run it as the logged in user all the time but still retain the required elevated permissions without needing to add any additional steps like prompting the user for their password for example?
Here is a copy of my current script that was working on the 5/6 machines:

Sidenote 1: I included logic to check that the logged in user was a Secure Token enabled user because I ran into an issue where if Filevault was enabled on the machine and the logged in user was not Secure Token enabled, their account would convert ok but their password would not log them in until an admin resets it locally.
Sidenote 2: The whole reason we want local accounts is to use Apples Kerberbos SSO extension via our VPN to keep passwords synced as the boss doesn't want to spend any money on a solution like Jamf Connect for example.

Morning, I need to share my game pc and stream pc’s main drives in order to access game recordings and whatever else.
I setup everything and “un-checked” asks for password but it keeps asking me for my NETWORK CREDENTIALS.
I don’t know if this is my admin username, my network name, or pc names I dunno… I appreciate your feedback, thanks.

What I must say upfront is that this is an extremely disturbed (personality disorders and substance abuse) and sick person, and I don´t understand why I was staying in this toxic and abusive relationship even without finding out about the cheating but I´m so glad I did because it was what finally made me put an end to it. We have been together for one year. He started getting super jealous, suspicious and controlling of every little thing some months in. And this was never me in past relationships but I realized I was also getting always more and more suspicious but made excuses for him because I only thought he was insecure and that I just had to constantly give him more love and reassurance and that everything would be alright. Well stupid me because of course it was not like that. He was emotionally exhausting me for months and the last weeks have been more and more difficult with him and his constant tantrums, accusations etc. Well 2 nights ago he left his laptop at mines. I found out all his Instagram DMs and saved pictures and iMessages. He flirts with every woman he encounters (he travels a lot for work), entertains hookups with old and new flames, has a catalogue of nude pics and has constant obsessive and super toxic (he is way more abusive with her than he was with me) exchanges with an ex gf whom I think is as disturbed as he is; I found evidence of at least 3 encounters he had and multiple lies. I cannot even imagine the things he deleted and what is on his whatsapp (he was not logged in in the laptop). But that was way more than I needed as proof. So I found all of this last Sunday around 10pm. He came home at 2:30 am and in the mean time I had packed all his stuff (he was staying at mines, thank goodness we don´t live together) and made a list of things that had to be taken care of: -giving me back my keys, -paying me back for some flights I had just bought to travel with him - delete all of our interactions - delete all of my pictures. I also deleted all my pics from his laptop but couldn´t of course delete from the recently deleted because it takes a password. (I had him delete the recently deleted from his iPhone and hopefully that got rid of everything an all his devices, right?) As he came in the door I was calm and sat him down and told him we got things to do. Needless to say, he became like a desperate traumatised little whining boy saying he just did it because he was sure I was also cheating (so in his logic I am at fault for everything); saying stupid shit like he wants to marry me and from now on I can manage his instagram account (he is a public figure) and is going to block all of these "people"; saying "people" are constantly "after him" lol... 4 hrs of absurd convos that led to nothing of course; I am glad I removed this cancer out of my life. I just have to make sense of why I have so little self love to have allowed such a sick person in my life and have me annihilated for months.. long way to healing but already feeling way lighter. Fuck out my life now. He left at 6:30, I was just too kind to not leave his stuff on the street and he still has to pick up all his shit..

So I was on Instagram 4 hours ago in the bathroom and saw a model on it who's name I wanted to remember whilst forgetting im connected to work wifi on my personal device. When the the link opened it was a blocked site and the dread inside me ensued. I've had that come up before for opening gambling websites multiple times before and never have had a someone talk to me, although this is different (id like mention my employers don't really like me aswell which is also very concerning). For starters its a open wifi (only workers can be in range for, im not sure how many actually use it) and from memory I never had to put a username/password in (even if I did I would've just spammed letters) I work in a 24hour warehouse with over 900 employees (if found out ill be a social pariah if not fired), is it possible this could be traced back to me via ip address or phone blah blah blah? There is multiple different wifis available some are locked by passwords im presuming for those on the computers in logistics and IT Currently having a panic attack. (I know this has been asked before im just stressing, and to those before me this has happened too on Reddit did the people end up updating with never being caught)

He will probably use some other excuses too but my friend blocked him the second she noticed he said he would email a check to her. Don’t fall for the guy. Just don’t.

I have just installed a Raspberry Pi 4 to run Homebridge. I intended to add my Ezviz cameras to HomeKit. I installed Camera UI and enabled LAN Live View on my Ezviz app. But after scanning, I must fill in the account name and password (which is the device verification code or activation code). However, it informed me that my account username or password is incorrect. Are there any solutions? I also looked for the use of other plugins (like the Ezviz Camera plugin), but it doesn't work.

The other person cancelled the meetup in the next responses. Another ad he'd messaged (but received no reply) was to a trans woman. I sat frozen for hours and confronted him when he got home. He said he'd been really drunk and it really turned him on to imagine hooking up with a guy but would never have followed through with it. I argued the other person cancelled but he was adamant he could have never have done it and was so ashamed when he woke up the next day. I confronted him about it and again he said he just gets really turned on at the idea and messaging someone but would never follow through. Anyway I'm not against him having kinks or being attracted to trans women or fem boys. In fact I find it endearing that he appreciates femininity on different people and I've always been put off by guys that get offended or grossed out by anything gay or queer. I think he may be ashamed as he may not think anyone would accept it etc so trying to hide his attraction/preferences. I've always tried to show I'm open but he's never admitted his attractions.
The thing that upsets me is the messaging. If he was messaging other women I don't think I could have forgiven it. Or at least I'd never get past it For some reason because it's men/ trans women I see it differently and not affecting me, I don't know why.
I don't want to upset him as I don't think I can fulfill him fully sexually so I guess the only answer is he never acts on it or we have an open marriage. I don't know whether I'd be ok with an open marriage, maybe I'd be ok with only messaging as long as it wasn't secret (I wouldn't need to read the messages but would at least want to know if he still engages in general).
Is this all mad or are there other relationships like this, or am I a complete fool? I am obviously not trusting of him anymore if I keep checking his phone so I think this is a big issue in the relationship first of all.
(I do see trans women as women but I have a feeling he is interested 'because' they are trans in a kink way which I'm not sure if this is common but maybe these women are ok with men seeking out for these reasons I'm not sure)

Day one Pixel 8 Pro owner here. Thought I’d share my experience, after over 8 months of ownership.
P8P Bay 256GB has been my daily driver since its release. I use it with 5G on, screen at full resolution, dynamic "smooth display" refresh rate is on, no bluetooth or tethering. Brightness left on auto.
TLDR :
Positives = camera quality, great design, OS (with some caveats), great screen (some caveats too)
Negatives = everything else

Camera : beautiful imagery has always been the signature of the Pixel line, and this release is no exception. Every shot has this mesmerizing "Pixel touch", and the new ultrawide sensor is finally on par with the main unit. Videos are world class too, not quite on the level of the iPhone but we'll get there eventually.
Beautiful and unique design : It's sitting in a clear case, and in a sea of generic, boring slabs, it really stands out and doesn't go unnoticed. People often ask me what kind of phone it is, most are still not aware that Google is making smartphones and has been doing so for almost a decade now.
Very long software support : Seven years of updates is unrivaled in the Android scene, albeit with the following you’ll understand no one would willingly keep this phone seven years, so it’s not really a positive.
Sleek OS : Android in its purest, cleanest form. Customization galore. However as I'll mention later this pure android is NOT running smoothly, so I don't know if this count as a positive.
Gorgeous OLED panel : A truly beautiful display, high-resolution, good brightness..unfortunately plagued by mutiple lags and frame drops in the UI, I'll get back to that. Now onto the negatives.
First off, we must address the elephant in the room. Battery life. This phone charges PAINFULLY slow and discharges EXTREMELY fast. The opposite of what you want, right ?
The 10 minutes top ups to 50% is a concept Google seemingly never heard of. You want half a charge ? Better sit & wait half an hour. Full charge ? Go watch a movie. Now the discharge, and this is where the real drama clocks in. This phone EATS battery, ON IDLE.
On your average 9 to 5 workday (no camera, no games, just basic apps) you’ll head home with 15% tops. Phone dead by 7pm, then full charge will eat 90 minutes off your schedule, better not be in a hurry.
Now try to make a bit of power usage out of your power user phone : A bit of pictures for work at 10am, a short 4K video at 1pm, a bit of Fallout Shelter on the toilet at 2pm. You’re now looking at a 4pm shutdown.
But let’s go real on the camera, after all this is a camera flagship and it should be your reliable companion on a field day. Starting at 10 am : pictures, videos, a bit of editing, about 40 pictures taken and 3 videos of 10 minutes each. Shutdown at 1PM.
The CPU just eats battery on IDLE doing NOTHING. Throw anything heavy at it and you’ll head home with a dead phone, one that died long before your day was over. Simple as that.
Keep in mind that this is my experience with a 8-months-old device, and it will get worse and worse as the battery cell degrades over time. One can only wonder how many cell replacements this phone will need to get to the end of its famed software support.
Now we need to talk UI and animations because this isn’t good either. Stellar 120hz OLED panel and stock android should be a recipe for smoothness, but not here. Actually, some animations including the cool lock screen clock are barely 60hz. Switching apps isn’t 120hz either, nor is scrolling. A TON of lags and various frame drops, resulting in a framerate like 40-90hz, never stable, with the occasional but very rare peak at 120. This isn't TW3 gameplay on a potato but simply browing menus and scrolling instagram on a 2023, 1159€ flagship phone from Google.
This phone FEELS slow, and yet consume an enormous amount of power to do so. Infuriating.
One day I had to handle a coworker’s A54 to tweak a few things. I was SHOCKED by the smoothness, this was indeed true 120hz, which only happens a few times a day on Pixel 8 Pro. I realized what I was missing on by handling an Exynos mid-ranger. I understand the need for a dynamic framerate, not locked at 120hz all the time to save battery. But only reaching 120hz 5 times a day and still having a mediocre battery life wasn’t what I had in mind.
Finally, the optical, under-display fingerprint scanner. This, my friends, is an antique piece of hardware that belongs to a museum. Remember the Huawei Mate RS from 2018 ? One of the first phones with UDFS. The optical technology was so experimental and unreliable (still is, most OEMs moved on to ultrasonic) that Huawei also included another optical fingerprint sensor on the back of the device, just in case. Well, this ancient tech is what you have on the Pixel 8 Pro, and no optical sensor backup in sight.
Sometimes, it can take up to 2 full seconds of contact to….successfully fail to unlock. After it fails 3 times or so, it will ask you to enter your password, making one-hand unlocks a luck job. Sometimes it will successfully unlock after a couple tries, but a couple tries of 2 seconds each makes unlocking your phone a 4 seconds job which is just painfully slow. The occasional one tap magic is as rare as the occasional 120hz peak in the UI. As for face-unlock, I know it's there but I disabled it because it doesn't work in the dark (no IR sensor) and I simply want to unlock my phone at waist height, without having to raise it to my face.
Pixel 8 Pro remembers me of an exotic sports car that might look incredibly cool from a distance but is actually a pain to live with on a daily basis. And indeed it does look incredibly cool. I remember seeing this phone as a much better pick than the generic Galaxy and the boring iPhone, but I’d rather go boring or generic than having to handle this mess of an hardware Google sold me for 1159€.
TLDR : Positives = Camera quality, great design Negatives = everything else

Hello everyone,
I am encountering an issue with a Windows 7 machine that is part of a domain. When a user attempts to log on, they are prompted to enter their username and password. Ideally, I would like the logon screen to display all the user accounts that are present in the PC, so that I just have to enter the password for login and not require manual input of the username on logon, even after pc reboot/restart.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any solutions to prevent the username prompt on logon for domain users?
Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

TLDR: Input for username is not possible on fireTV apk.
I want to play GeForce Now games via fireTV, since i have a projector as only media player. Ive sideloaded GeForceNow and everything works fine, until i need to input mail and password, which happens for Ubisoft games. The input field does not open fireTV keypad or give any other option.
A QR code would be a simple solution to authenticate, but the technology just isnt there yet.

My older parents were just the victims of a new scam targeting Chinese Americans. They were called by someone speaking Mandarin who said they were from the Chinese government and someone used their identity and there was an arrest warrant for them in China. We are from China but have lived in the USA for 30 years. Amongst other things, they were told they would be deported back to China if they did not provide their passport numbers and Apple ID and Password and list the places that they currently have bank accounts and how much money. They did not give bank account numbers. They were told not to tell anyone they had been contacted, so I am learning about this 3 days later. I changed all passwords and am going to freeze their credit, but what else should I be doing?

Hi so I have been attempting to log into origin (and the new macOS EA app), however I am stuck in a loop trying to allow the helper to make changes to my macbook.
I am currently stuck on the popup to enter my username (the username autogenerates as my first and last name, I have tried my EA user ID and email as alternatives) and password and I have tried:

1. Changing my password.
   
2. Deleting and downloading both apps.
   
3. Clearing my cache.
   
4. Restarting my laptop.
   
5. Changing my username.
   

I can log into the EA website alright, and I have spoken with their customer service/help, and they have just asked me to repeat the steps above. This is the second time this has happened to me and I cannot remember how it was solved the first time.

I'm having issue, I want to make that top bar here for guest people is not visible but when you login or register the top bar is visible for you then.
