Warranty adjusted
I think I read on here earlier this year that.warranty didn't carry over if sold again. Not sure it applied to me since I bought my laptop on best buy, but it was open box and it seemed like previous buyer already registered it, so it was already ticking. I had about 3 months left. I just sent it for repair recently and they offered me discount if I bought more. I was Debating and notice a option to change warranty date. I submitted my proof of purchase and wala. It got adjusted to 8 months from 3 months. Obviously I'm still going to buy more as I plan to keep this laptop for a while. If anyone buys open box check the warranty to see if it has already started and place a claim to get your full warranty coverage.

2024.06.12 03:10 serpin46 Do asian schizphrenics smell?

idk if it breaks the no medical questions rule cause it's not really about that. So basically I waste alot of time on TikTok and recently came across some about schizophrenic patients having a distinct and extremely strong body odour caused from a gene in common between the patients itself. Due to some stuff that friends that went on cultural exchanges in china, and studies which I read, that seemed kinda legit, I remember that in asian people there's a really thing that makes you lactose intolerant, but there's also a "mutated gene" that makes body odour almost imperceptible. Not sure if it's the right place to post this question but I was wondering about it and didn't find any conclusive studies about schizophrenia body odour on papers available online, to cut it short most of them say something like nothing out of the ordinary during physical exams, but medical staff working close to patients affected by, reports recognizing a distinct smell. So, I'm kinda drunk and note sure if I said weird stuff, but even if I'm not a med student I am genuinely curious to know how it works, (personally)I kinda think that schizophrenics having the same odour is kinda bs, the second one is kinda legit and i kinda believe it, but there's no cross reference between the two (cause there's no point in knowing that, not sure why I want to), so I thought that the best way to kinda try to solve it was to ask if any medical staff on this sub, working with patients diagnosed with schizophrenia that are either asian or of asian descent, feel a certain smell, either in the halls or the individual patients' rooms (those that you can't attribute to medical equipment or the equipment itself or the cleaning supplies or whatever even if you try) could confirm that patients affected by schizophrenia share a similar body odour regardless of their genetic inheritance, or deny it saying it was just internet theories bs. Or the third way, where someone that has better knowledge than me in the field could explain to me how those two genes or whatever interact and which one dominates over the other one (and why).
Idk if I should add this, but really don't want to offend anyone or seem pompous because it's kinda convoluted or by the way I write, just a genuine question from an ignorant POV

2024.06.12 03:10 FratBoyGene Quick Review: Buca (Yonge & St. Clair)

Four of us went to celebrate my birthday tonight. The start was a bit unfortunate; we sat, ignored for 20 minutes - my GF checked her watch - except for water from the busboy, who apologized for the waiter's absence. I asked the busboy to get the manager, who came over quickly. He apologized for the delay, took our orders, and got things moving.
After that, everything was fine. For starters, we had the warm olives and the beet salad, and the manager provided a complimentary plate of garlic bread knots. The beet salad was particularly tasty, mixing golden and red beets with a cheese-infused dressing.
The four mains were the roasted chicken, the veal & ricotta meatballs, the prawn risotto, and cavatappi with ragu. The roasted chicken was perfect - skin was crisp and crackling. My GF devoured the risotto, and praised its creaminess and flavour. The cavatappi was scented with saffron in a tomato ragu, and it disappeared as well. I enjoyed the meatballs immensely, and the manager was kind enough to provide a slice of warm bread to sop up the delicious sauce. For sides, we shared the roasted potatoes, and the eggplant, which had a unique presentation. The entire eggplant was roasted, and the insides were then mixed with other veg, and placed back inside the shell. Delicious!
The manager was also kind enough to provide complimentary desserts - a spectacular tiramisu, straciatella gelato, and strawberry sorbet. Even though we were full, we finished them all.
The best part was the bill was under $200 for the four of us. (No drinks or wine at all, though.) I think that's eminently reasonable for the quality of the food we enjoyed. I know that a round of drinks and a bottle of wine would have inflated the total accordingly, so prepare according to your own tastes. Bottom line: thoroughly recommended.

2024.06.12 03:10 Thoticorn Hidden gems

I'm going to be visiting the area with my bf on July 4th into the weekend and I was looking for some local advice on some hidden gems that may not come up with a Google search.
We'll be staying in Hampton, but spending a lot of time in the VB/Norfolk area, and are willing to drive a little ways if there's something fun to do or see.
So, if anyone has any must-do places for shopping, dining, sightseeing, best beaches, etc, I'd love it!
Were already planning on going to the Norfolk botanical garden and we've talked about the vb aquarium as well. We did Busch Gardens last year so we probably won't this year since we're more focused on vb than Williamsburg this time

2024.06.12 03:09 extracredick AITAH for wanting my spouse to...try harder?

My spouse has very low vision due to MS. They don’t drive or use computers, so those responsibilities fall to me. They do have some independence on the phone, but I generally handle important tasks. There is a 15-year age gap between us, with my spouse being the senior.
I think I’m proactive and a bit of a researcher. When they were diagnosed, I joined support groups, bought various tools like magnifying glasses, bump dots, and contrast tape, and made many appointments with specialists. We are fortunate to have insurance, so I was making appointments with everyone: nutritionists, dieticians, physiatrists, urologists, literally everyone! This sub has been so helpful, and I am forever grateful to whoever is reading.
I also made changes to their phone to help with accessibility, like increasing the font, using a dyslexia-friendly font, changing the contrast, enabling speak-to-text, and setting up spell check.
Lately, my spouse has been resistant to some of these changes. They’ve grown restless with the accessibility features and are embarrassed to use assistive devices in public. I have made it clear that I don’t mind and would love for them to use those devices if it meant being more independent and confident, but they still shy away from it.
For example, when we go out to eat, I take a photo of the menu and send it to them because they won’t do it themselves. If I don't, there is usually an awkward exchange with the waiter that goes something like:
Then there's an awkward lull. They won’t even pretend to look at the menu; they just sit there. I usually chime in and say, "Oh, there's ranch, Italian, etc.". This short exchange gives me sooooo much anxiety and exhausts me.
A few weeks ago, they needed to do a background check and filled out a DocuSign beforehand. When we got to the place for fingerprinting, there were several typos, and we had to reschedule. Today, while handling business related to that appointment, my spouse asked for help, so I brought out the computer. There were the same typos as before. I was annoyed because I had set up a tool that would read aloud the things they typed, but they had asked me to turn it off.
I’m anxious because if they hadn’t asked me for help, this would have been submitted with errors, causing more issues. I started to say something but stopped, unsure if it’s my place. Am I being a jerk? I want the best for them and for us. We’re on the same team, but I feel like I can’t force them to put in the effort they need. Is it unreasonable to expect them to try harder?

Corn for Sale NYC
Hello! I’m putting out feelers if anyone would like to buy my snake Ruby. I am located in Manhattan NYC. She is a reverse oakatee corn. About 2 years old and very healthy! I bought her from a breeder online when she was a baby and she has had no health problems. Though I love her sooo much and I take great care of her, I will be having some life changes and will be less and less available to give her the care she needs. I am looking to re-home her soon. Looking to sell her tank (55 Gal repti zoo, less than a year old) and all the supplies inside. Drift wood, hide, concrete hides, heat bulb and stand, climbing structure, etc. Attached is a photo of my baby’s current home set up. Price negotiable. Lmk if you guys know any other places i should post about selling her. I am also looking to sell the tank stand. Brand new with a large shelf. Thanks :,)

I got 4 of the $59 SNS and I'm happy over all. Got a C9 and the only problem with it besides it being a Hi-Point is that the magazine release button is gone😂 Then I got a Lorcin L9MM and I think it'll serve nicely as a paperweight. I also got a Heritage roughrider and it definitely needs a deep clean and some replacement parts😅 It may just be junk. To be determined. The hammer has issues and it's rusty in different places but it has what I can only assume is markings from an evidence locker on the handle😂 The best thing that I got is a Kel Tec P3AT and it's in pretty darn good condition. Overall, I'm happy and I think I'll use the Kel Tec for pocket carrying after I've shot it enough that I become confident in its abilities.

2024.06.12 03:07 generateAnyUsername Warm weather protective gear

Hey all, looking for some advice for those of you from warmer places. I'm currently in the UK so all I own is a textile 2 piece for bad weather and summer leathers for "good" weather, thick gloves and full size boots.
I'm planning a month long trip to Thailand in about a month and planning to rent an enduro bike while I'm there (CRF 300L hopefully). I'm not keen on doing the whole shorts and flip flops thing so I'm considering buying some gear and bringing it with me. Helmet is sorted, will bring my normal one.
Plan: - Mesh riding jacket, Oxford Dakar - Some cooler gloves, need advice - Kevlar jeans, will these be too warm? - Some form of ankle height protective shoes
The thing is, I want to have equipment that I can walk about in without it hindering me too much as I'm planning to use it for day trips. I know I'm making some sort of compromise with safety here, it's not going to be anywhere near as protective as my gear I wear at home but then again, I'm not going to be driving as fast.
Appreciate any advice, I've never driven anywhere warm so I really have no idea what I'm getting myself in for haha. I'm not sure if I need a waterproof or I should just cope with getting wet occasionally.

Are these the same 77 grain cartridge?
Looking to pick up 240 of these IMI rounds. My best options are MidWay for about $1.04/per round after shipping, or from SGAmmo for $1.25 per round. Are the Mod-1 from SG Ammo the same cartridge as the one from MidWay? I’m guessing it’s negligible. But I’d like a suggestion on which one to buy. Thanks!

2024.06.12 03:03 WhyAreWeHere1996 I regret inviting my friends to be my roommates

Let’s call them roommate A and roommate B.
I met them through Xbox and things have gone downhill since they moved in.
Roommate A doesn’t do anything with his time other than play Xbox and look at his phone and he’s generally become a piece of shit since moving in.
Roommate B literally can’t let me do my own thing without saying something. No matter what I do he always has something to say and can’t wrap his head around the idea that people live their lives different than he would.
They’re also extremely annoying together and just assholes around each other. Constantly cracking mean jokes or just saying negative shit and then acting like they’re saints.
They’ve also done some not okay shit in the last year including:
Attacking me and my last relationship in a group chat cause I didn’t want to hang out with them.
Purposely being loud and keeping me from sleeping one night when they had friends over and I had a to get up at 3am for a cross country flight and I asked them not to be crazy.
And a couple weeks ago, roommate B tackled me to the ground and punched me multiple times in the neck after I made a remark not directed at him but roommate A made him think I did.
At this point, I don’t care about being friends with them when we’re not living together.
The problem is I know they won’t move out first and I can’t get them to leave voluntarily and the place we have is probably the best rental one could find around here so I don’t want to move out.
I also don’t want to move back in with my parents nor move somewhere else and find random roommates and living alone is just too expensive.
I dread when they’re both home cause I can’t get any peace when they are and I have no real interest in going out with them anymore just so I can have the place to myself.
Easily one of the biggest regrets of my life is asking them to move in.

2024.06.12 03:03 wrel_ "How are the old games?" Discussion Thread

I started playing Far Cry with 5 and want to play some of the earlier games. Where should I start?"
This question gets asked daily, and the answers seem to vary depending on how much nostalgia users have for different entries of Far Cry games. With this post, I am hoping to try and explain the 'nuts and bolts' of each of the first four Far Cry games, and how they all are presented in a game play manner, without getting into any of the characters, story or lore (that's where it all starts to get subjective).

Far Cry

One Sentence Description: "A game made by software developers who grew up playing the classics."
The first Far Cry game was developed by the CryTek team who made the CryEngine game engine. It feels very much like other 90s first-person shooter games such as Wolfenstien, Doom, Duke Nukem 3d, etc. The game is structured in a number of levels you progress through as you complete each one, with health packs, extra armor, and items to find such as binoculars and thermal vision. The game is touted as 'open-world', but that's a bit of a misnomer, because you are still stuck in each level until you meet the exit requirements. For example, you can walk around on a beach and explore all you'd like, but you only move on to the next level when you get to and enter the Radar Station, which starts the Radar Station level which you must complete to move on yet again; no going back and forth between them.
This game feels like a flashier version of older FPS games, but also comes with some of the drawbacks of them. Weapons and ammo is limited to only what can be found or that enemies drop, there's no shop to buy from or customize your loadout at. You need to find health and armor pickups to restore yourself, but you have to do that with care. If you are at 99% life, picking up the 50% health pack wastes 49% of it, so you have to remember where stuff is, so you can run back to take advantage of things as you need them. It's also possible to have the game autosave you at low life in a bad spot, so you will need to reload over and over and over to until you can flawlessly get out of your predicament, or else restart the entire level. Also, Far Cry is known to have some rather difficult levels as you get closer to the end of the campaign, where there are more enemies than there are hiding spaces for you to catch your breath and reload.
Far Cry is not a bad game, but it's a game from an era gone by, and only those who truly appreciate the origins of first-person shooters should go back and check it out.

Far Cry 2

One Sentence Description: "Far Cry 1, but the franchise hired some writers."
Far Cry 2 is the first true open-world game in the Far Cry franchise, but what it really adds in this iteration is a story. Rather than a generic "go through the levels to stop the bad guy" story, Far Cry 2 really tries to bring the world alive with characters and lore, and then sets you free into it, letting you explore it as you see fit. There are several characters in the game; you pick to play as one and the rest become NPCs you will interact with in the game world. The game map has two full maps you can explore in whatever order you'd like lots of key hot shop for weapons, accept quests, clear out outposts, search the map for hidden loot chests, or catch bus rides to other parts of the map, and factions to side with, all while working towards finding the man you were sent to Africa to kill. Weapon shops are not in the game, so you can pick your loadout and customize your play style. You can still take weapons off enemies, but used weapons are prone to jamming, misfires, and will even explode on you, so it's better to buy new ones of your own. FC2 also adds a survival mechanic to it, as your character is suffering from malaria and you need to balance taking on missions with keeping your med supply full, as you can suffer from malaria symptoms from sprinting too much, or going too long without medication.
While this sounds like a marked improvement over the first Far Cry game, it comes with some drawbacks. Mainly, it feels like no one stopped to ask "...but is it fun??"
Where Far Cry 2 falls short is it's execution, which has a lot if that has to do with how the game was coded. Each map is broken up into a 3x3 grid of 9 squares, but only one square can be loaded into the game's memory at a time. What that means is if you spend 15 minutes clearing an outpost and then cross the border into a new map section, the cleared outpost is dropped from game memory. Meaning, when you go back, the map gets a fresh reload, and the outpost you just cleared it fully populated with bad guys again. You will spend a LOT of time clearing and re-clearing and re-re-clearing the same outpost as you move around on the game map. This leads you to think "maybe I can just ignore them..." but they will follow you to the ends of the Earth and pepper you will bullets until you deal with them. The game features stealth, but not very well, because even hiding in tall grass doesn't conceal you, it just blocks your vision (but not the enemies). Trying to drive around the outposts just gets your vehicle disabled, so you have to get out, shoot them dead, repair your car, and continue your journey. Then, when you finally get to the quest area, you'll get a malaria flare up and realize you're out of meds, so you have to pause your current quest and run a quest for a doctor so he will provide you with pills, then go back to the quest you were working on.
Far Cry 2 wants to be better than Far Cry, and did a really good job with the world building. But I found myself getting annoyed at the game's flaws that sap my will to keep playing, because it feels like you're constantly pushing that boulder up hill, just for it to roll back down on you.

Far Cry 3

One Sentence Description: "Far Cry 2, but with game developers at the helm."
Far Cry 3 heard me asking "...but is it fun??", and decided to make sure the answer is "yes". The third installment is where we first get the formula that has persisted for the next six games, a big: open-world map, towers and outposts littering the game world, thousands of hidden items to collect, a colorful cast of NPCs, skill trees and hunting/crafting, and a real sense of progression and exploration, as you chip away at the map, uncovering it bit by bit.
Far Cry 3 gave players a true sandbox experience that they could tackle however they saw fit. With the introduction of a true stealth mechanic, players can opt to take the "sneaky and silent" approach, or the :guns blazing" approach to any of the game's quests, while skill trees and weapon customization allowed you to fine tune your tactics. Also, Far Cry 3 introduces things such as co-op campaigns, so your friends can join you in the game world, and a map editor to create your own game maps.
While there is a lot to like with Far Cry 3, there are a few small blemishes. Released in 2012, Far Cry 3 is starting to show it's age when compared to modern titles, when it comes to things like inventory management and game UI. Unlike in Far Cry 2, outposts in 3 stay cleared when you take them out, which could lead to an annoying situation when you go back to achievement-hunt and need to do things like "kill 5 pirates with one explosion" when there are very few pirates left in the game world because you took everything over. Also, modern versions of the game are all ports, so if you wanted to play on PlayStation 5, you'd be playing a PlayStation 3 game that has an iffy port to PlayStation 4, run on your PlayStation 5, so you will run into some stability issues occasionally.
Everything being equal, Far Cry 3 remains one of the best entry points into the franchise.

Far Cry 4

One Sentence Description: "Far Cry 3 with a LOT of quality of life improvements."
If Far Cry 3 laid the foundation for what Far Cry games were to become, Far Cry 4 brought it to the next level with the amount of quality of life improvements it added to the franchise. 4 features the biggest game world yet, a better UI, better inventory management, better ways to interact with the game world, and a story that allows you to pick which path you want to take as the main story unfolds, influencing the game world and eventual outcome of the game. The main thing introduced in Far Cry 4 is the choice between helping one of two NPCs that are the leader of the Golden Path. Both characters will try and convince you to side with them, and you have to make a choice as to how things play out. This makes you weight the decision and adds a new layer of choice and consequence to how the story unfolds.
In between main story quests, you will be taking on quests to help locals, such as helping them hunt for food or rescue their family members who have been taken hostage. The addition of a Karma meter encourages you to intervene with the game NPCs outside of the main story, as every good deed you to helps build Karma, which unlocks new skill points and weapons for you to use. Also, probably due to the game being set in a fictional version of Nepal, the game features a lot more vertical exploration, involving more advanced grappling hook mechanics, cave exploration, and almost a puzzle-like way to figure how to get where you need to go in the world.
Aside from these changes, some of the smaller things that Far Cry 4 introduces are the quality of life changes that make simply playing the game easier. Things like larger wallet and inventory spaces, so you can explore without having to return to sell so often, the use of the controller's touch pad, to help you quickly switch between weapons with the flick of a finger, the ability to craft syringes on the fly as you need them, and new vehicles like the gyrocopter that allow you to get around the game's larger map easier make Far Cry 4 one of the best entries you could start at, if you want a more modern gameplay experience.
Phew. Okay, that was a lot.
Certainly, I didn't cover it all, but that gives you a good outline for what to expect if you play any of the first four games for the first time, focusing on how the game plays, and how the franchise has evolved and grown from one title to the next. Needless to say, I would suggest playing both Far Cry 3 and 4 to newer players (4 for a more modern experience), but 1 and 2 are more of a "play at your own risk" recommendation to people who have only played the newer games, due to how the Far Cry franchise started, and how archaic some of the experiences and mechanics of the first few titles are.
What are your thoughts? Anything else important to add about how the first few games play out that you feel is important for people to know before jumping into the games for the first time? Let us know in the comments below!

2024.06.12 03:01 FlyinTaco22 Help with fuse box

So today I got a new ac compressor installed in my car and noticed it wouldn’t turn on. After further trouble shooting, I noticed that the fuse plug for the ac was broken. It does not have any power. When I put power into it, the ac compressor worked.
My car is a 2013 ford fusion titanium trim.
I have two questions basically -
1.) If I were to replace the entire fuse box with another one, would I have to program it? Or would it be an easy swap.
2.) Does anyone know if they make fuses with extra long prongs Lol.
Any input is appreciated, it’s been a frustrating journey.
My backup camera fuse plug recently stopped working too

2024.06.12 03:01 Organic_Sun_9855 CPTSD & Neurodivergence - Social Issues?

Hello everyone, long-time lurker here from a different account- but I could use some help this time around.
I spent a very long time with my mother who was emotionally manipulative and medically neglectful of me since I have a sibling who is considered much more neurodivergent than myself. She's made comments about my looks, hobbies, and everything else under the sun. Love was something that had to be earned. I wasn't allowed to do anything without her 100% knowledge of it- and if she disagreed with me all things I loved were taken away from me. I also received my official mental health diagnosis where I've been told I am neurodivergent with a heavy helping of CPTSD from my mother and family.
She butted into a lot of my friendships growing up and would often text my friends about me and have them report to her about what I was doing, saying, or acting. But in some of my friendships, I just can't quite place what happened or what went wrong. Some were definitely from my emotional instability as a child being abused coming to school sobbing nearly every morning, but others were randomly unjust.
Currently, I have moved out in my mid-20s, finally free of her- but I have no friends besides my boyfriend and roommate. Every relationship I can remember has blown up and when I have asked people to tell me what I've done they often can't explain it. I'm moody and kind of an asshole sometimes, but I've always made sure to be an attentive listener and tried overall to be a good friend. But now, older, I know it wasn't their fault for ignoring me when my mental health made me so hard to be around. I wouldn't want to be around someone who was always having a bad day every day.
For example, I've had a friend talk poorly about me and end up being best friends with the girl who has been telling me to off myself since 3rd grade (we were friends for over 10 years), or one broke into my house and told me I should kill myself for making them miserable (we hadn't spoken in like three weeks because I needed a break from her reporting to my mom- and that was what I told her.) Other friendships have ended and I can't even remember what or why. Almost all of my memories feel fuzzy or absent.
How do you determine what the circumstances of your life- like your abuse, neurodivergence, or poor personality traits- hurt relationships you have had? I've been to plenty of therapists and psychiatrists trying to level myself out and make friends but it seems that every time it happens I get further and further from figuring it out.
If this isn't the correct place to post this, I apologize. If someone could point me in the correct direction, that would be appreciated.

2024.06.12 03:00 Tellyouwhot I don’t know how to help my cat’s horrible behavior.. please help!

My cat, Brucey, is about a year and a half old. I adopted him from a rescue that had him since birth and he was fostered by one of the rescue’s employees. He has behavior that I have no idea how to train out of him and enforce. He frequently gets into drawers and pulls things out, especially my pants. He has destroyed so many pairs of sweatpants and will tug on the drawstrings like a dog until they’re shredded. He drags them through the place and leaves them everywhere, ripped and pulled out. He’ll open the drawers to the dresser and get them out even though I keep them shut and buried under other clothes. He climbs on counters and tables right in front of me even though I used clapping and firmly saying “get down” when he was a kitten and it worked. Clapping has worked for my three previous cats! But he will stare me in the face and do this high pitched, whiney meow until I start to move to go and take him off the counter myself, where he jumps down and runs once I’m finally there. He steals food off of plates in SECONDS. He’ll climb onto countertops searching for food and has knocked over containers to get food to spill out of them to eat. He’ll even sprint up to take food and run off with it. He’s ran away with full breakfast sandwiches and we have to chase him down before he tries scarfing it! He gets the exact measurement of food that his bag calls for and even a small snack portion at night, so he’s well fed! He also has had litter box issues since he was a kitten. He refuses to cover anything, swiping his paws around on the wall of the box or in the air before leaving with everything uncovered. I’ve tried going as big as using storage totes as his litter box, thinking it was because it was too small, and even that didn’t work. I have to buy large ones with a lid because he’ll somehow flick his paws around and fling poop everywhere despite not covering his pop with litter?!
I’ve tried using treats, taking time to play with him to try to wear him out or see if he’s bored, and more. I’ve tried moving things to where he can’t get them, but he’ll open drawers and cabinets and climb up to wherever he wants to. I’ve tried shutting him out of certain rooms but can’t do that since we’re in an apartment and he needs full access to his food and litter box. I’m at my wits end with him and really want our relationship to be better, but have no idea how to train this behavior out of him.

2024.06.12 03:00 Shadow_Knight07 The Logbook isn't canon

I'm not sure if this is a controversial opinion or not, but I don't really think the Survival Logbook is canon. Scott never said it was; hell, I don't think he has even acknowledged its existence. Not only that, but it's full of contradictions and doesn't seem to care much about fitting in the timeline; after all, it's just a fun children's activity book.
It presents itself as a security logbook used at the FNaF 1 location: it mainly uses depictions of the classics, it seemingly belonged to Mike at a certain point, and even references Pirate's Cove and Foxy running to the office. It seems pretty simple, right? Well, no, it mentions springlock suits, which were banned like 10 years prior to FNaF 1 and were sweeped under the rug by Fazbear, so why would they start talking about them again for no reason? The book also includes Mangle, BB and JJ hiding under the table like in FNaF 2. Why would Fazbear advertise characters from their previous location that was a total failure (and this is without even getting into whether JJ is actually real or not)? And then it also includes what appears to be an entry written by Jeremy Fitzgerald? What? And to top it all off, it also has drawings of the FNaF 3 office and references to Circus Baby's and the events of SL.
The Logbook is a complete mess, and I've only talked about stuff exclusively from the games so far, because it also conflicts with the real world, as it includes Chica dabbing and a MacBook parody, which obviously don't make any sense in the 90's. There's also the real value thing, which places the Logbook in 2017; I hope I don't have to explain why that causes problems.
Now, some people have tried to justify these issues by saying the Logbook was fabricated by the Frights crew, but that's doesn't make sense neither as they didn't know about springlock suits prior to the start of the game after they find Phone Guy's tapes, and they also shouldn't know about other stuff like JJ or Jeremy (and there's also the real value thing).
So, in conclusion, the Logbook is either meta (doesn't exist in-universe) or just isn't canon. Considering the book is altered and directly referenced by Mike, Cassidy and the Crying Child within its pages, I really doubt it's supposed to be meta. I think it's more likely that it's just what it advertises itself to be: a fun children's activity book, but with some funny references to game characters and a secret game for finding Cassidy's name so the grown-ups can also buy it and have fun; kinda like how Into the Pit is seemingly just a fun spin-off for the 10th anniversary with some cool references to the rest of the franchise here and there. After all, the books have never been canon, aside from, maybe, Tales, but who knows. Feel free to present counterarguments and debate in the comments if you disagree and sorry if I got anything wrong :)

2024.06.12 02:59 Tellyouwhot How do I help my horribly-behaved cat?! PLEASE

2024.06.12 02:59 Sad-Sort8132 A boy who winds up helping a man who he thinks is a photographer, but is really a poacher

I have been searching for this book for SO many years and I’ve come up empty-handed. I know the title doesn’t help much. Here is what I remember about the book.
