Feeling lazy asf... (Vacation)
Currently I do: 1. Submitted essays to an essay competitions. (Waiting for results) 2. Learned a few Python libraries (pandas, sklearn), no personal projects tho, (lack ideas and motivation) 3. Daily Walks (10-12000 Steps, me fat) 4. Games (Palia, Risk, Purrgatory, Bloons, etc., suck at FPS) 5. Read books (avg. 4 a month) 6. Daily LeetCode (when I can do it), NYT games (Connections, Crossword, Wordle)
Stuff I cannot do: Learning musical instruments Sports (Lazy, too hot) Internships (Remote area)
Can I do something more in order to be more productive (gonna apply to colleges in the US and have very little ECs/Awards)
BTW I am 15M (11th grade), currently live in India, will immigrate (con familia) to the US before school year starts
Pls suggest something achievable and interesting at the same time

Hello! I’m looking for some help finding a bra. I had posted on here a while ago about looking for a breathable wireless bra. I basically never wear a bra and have managed with essentially bralettes (when I do have to wear) since my last post. However, I am realizing what is likely best for me is to find a proper fitting traditional bra…and I need HELP!
I have read through all the guides and tried to gather as much information as I can (provided below). Please note I haven’t worn a proper bra in nearly a decade and I haven’t ever worn a well fitting bra. So I feel like I’m really at step 1 here looking to try out a few different bras to see what works for me. I’m prepared for some trial and error.
I’ve looked at the great list of bras from this subreddit available on Amazon as that’s my preference for where to purchase for the time being. I am US based (do I order from Amazon with my US size or UK size?), and I’m not close to anywhere I could go for an in person fitting, unfortunately.

It's a small world! I have two mildly interesting stories, but you bet I'll keep telling them forever
1) 2008 in St Louis, worked for the college paper. Don Cheadle came through stumping for folks to vote. We were contacted by the team and got about 10 minutes in a small room to interview him. He was gracious, if not also very very tired. Sat across a chair from him. Him being one of my faves; it was a thrill.
No idea what I asked but it would have been election related.
No guts to sneak in an "I'm a huge fan by the way" etc.
He came and spoke to a large group and a singer sang Change is Gonna Come on a piano. We were all dead silent, he was tearing up, we all were.
2) Egypt 2009, visiting my parents. Met a stuntman named Anthony Molinari at a train station.
Still pals/penpals/acquaintances. Wonderful dude.
He'd been a teacher and then shifted to stunts - big risk but paid off cause he's not a prick and amazingly ended up doubling Clooney, Ruffalo, and others.
He was backpacking/on a post breakup spiritual trip.
Stayed at our house in Cairo and I took him to a children's home I volunteered at because he wanted to volunteer. Genuine dude.
From our chats: Clooney is great, packs a flask (at the time - this would be around Leatherheads?). Realest one he's worked with is Martin Sheen, knows the crew's names, remembers their kids etc. Didn't make much of this at the time, but he was miffed/still shaken about Spacey hitting on him aggressively during a project. Not sure which project that was.
BTW he is briefly seen as the final boxer in "The Fighter", and he's a cop in EEAAO. I texted him and said your movie is about to win best picture. He's the kind of guy who calls everyone "brother" in a way that's not annoying cause he's so genuine. Good dude.

I`m a Electrical Engineer from an eastern european country with 6 years experience in electric grids (low and medium voltage), industrial electrical equipment and photovoltaic project. I recently visited Japan, for a second time and decided to move there(it has been my dream for quite some time). I plan to move in 1-2 years due to the fact that I firstly want to study more Japanese language and industrial standards so I have some questions and i`m seeking some advices:

1. As an Electrical Engineer is N3 enough to help me get a job or should I aim for N2?(I plan to take the N3 exam this year)
2. How are the Japanese interview structured ? Multiple rounds/single interview/online tests?

3 .If i can`t get a job as an Electrical Engineer, how is the IT market right now for those without experience (as a side note I have a second degree in Computer Science)? I specialized myself in C for embedded software engineering.

Hi everyone. I'm seeking some advice on kind of a complex situation. Law students would be really good to answer this but ofc anyone can answer.
I'm 21NB. I got pretty good GCSEs and went on to do A Levels. I always had a passion in Law so I picked that alongside Maths and Physics. My grades were - A in Law, B in Maths, and D in Physics. I also did an Extended Project Qualification (worth half an A Level) on the topic of North Korean law. I got a B.
Without getting into it too much, I have suffered with bad mental health issues most of my life but always tried not to let that hold me back. I have pretty much always been getting professional help at any given time.
Once I finished in 2021 I decided I wanted to do a degree in Law with the hope of becoming a criminal barrister. I got into a university that was quite far from home and moved into halls. Everything was fine at first, but my mental health got really bad and it would have been unsafe to stay. Very hard decision but I dropped out a few months into the first year (2022).
I moved back home and spent the next year and a bit really working on myself. I got a job in a shop (upper part time, sometimes full time) to get some income and help me keep occupied. I decided I was well enough to go back to university and try again, starting September 2023 (in Law again). I intentionally chose a university much nearer to home, but opted to move into halls again for the experience of that.
Unfortunately the same thing happened again, actually much worse this time because of certain things that happened. I left even earlier; November 2023. Again, an even harder decision to leave. I also quit my retail job. I originally interrupted my studies rather than withdrew, unlike the first time, with the intention of coming back in September 2024. It would be my 3rd time.
I contacted the university recently asking if I could change my status to withdrawn. I did this because:

1. I'm still very unwell and am not optimistic that I could get through the degree safely. I also think even if I got through I wouldn't do very well.
2. My mum, who I live with, is moving far so I'm planning to move to my dad's so that I'm closer to family down here. But, he's kinda far from the uni and I don't have a car yet.
3. Withdrawing means I have full flexibility to go back anytime in my life if I wanted to. Meaning I don't have to put a date on my recovery (which you can't really do).
4. I am beginning to realise maybe university is just not for me and I should try alternative routes like apprenticeships.
5. I am questioning whether the Law profession in general is really suited to me, even though I am passionate about it. There are other things I would consider doing.
6. I already have £16,000 in student loan debt.

Among other things.
I'm really embarrassed to say but I've been out of work or anything since November (I have been really ill but still feel guilty). One of the reasons I want to move to my dad's is so I can get a retail job down there (because if I was going to get a job here I would have to leave it in a few months so it feels like there is no point.) The move is happening in a week. While I'm working I also want to pass my driving test because I haven't done that yet.
I have been thinking a lot about what I could do going forward. I have been looking at solicitor degree apprenticeships but they're very competitive and all require A Levels Grade A-C... but I have a A, B, D. Goddammit Physics. Same with paralegal level 3 apprenticeships (which would give me a much better chance getting onto a solicitor one).
I have been looking at degree apprenticeships in general and they pretty much all have these A Level requirements.
Obviously these options are not exhaustive but if you were me, would you:

1. Eventually go back to university and do Law again.
2. Eventually go back to university but do a degree in another subject.

(Of course these two options would give me more student loan debt.)

1. Try and get another A Level so that I can do these legal apprenticeships (because I can, but it's like £1,000. Plus that's two years of my life.)
   
2. Completely change my career path and possibly do a level 3 apprenticeship (for example in hairdressing.)
   

I'm just very stressed about the future. I really want to succeed and not let this hold me back anymore.
Some examples of other things I would consider doing is nursing, something in music, hair & beauty, administration. To be honest I'd do anything except retail.

every time i switch to it on my hotbar or try mine blocks it plummets my frames from 120 to 20, and has some intense block lag.
i have got haste/redstone on all my other tools and it works normal on all of them
i have tried going into creative and putting redstone on other hammers and the same lag effect happens

So without going into too much detail, my students launched a weather balloon project last week and the GPS broke free in the landing zone, which was a heavily wooded area. Basically, the lid holding the GPS tracker broke off (which we found), but based on the tracking, we are confident that the payload struck a tree and flung the GPS and is likely very close to where the GPS ended up, just high and hidden. Looking for some advice for recovery. Prior to launch, we also added an Apple AirTag into the payload with the hopes of using it as a backup locator. Obviously, with it being in thick woods and likely high in a tree, there are little to no chances of crowdsourcing Bluetooth devices, but we're doing our best to attempt to locate it. Here are some ideas... Fly a drone at the treetops to see if we can spot it. Simple enough. Attach an iPhone to the drone to hopefully connect to the Airtag. I'm not sure how long we would need to be in range to connect. I'm also not sure what the range is for connection. Here are my questions... What kind of range does the Airtag have in order to connect? What I've gathered is something like 30-50 ft. Is there any way to extend the Bluetooth receiving range? How long does a device need to be in range of the Airtag to connect and send a location to FindMy?Would a flyby be enough time if we didn't spot it in order to hover close by? Can the Airtag connect with anything other than an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch? An Apple Watch would be a heck of a lot easier to attach to a drone as I think an iPhone will just not allow for takeoff or stability, especially in that kind of area. And a MacBook would be easier to add a Bluetooth extender (I think). Any other suggestions? Thanks for any help.

im playing gregtech nh version of tinkers construct, and have put 50 redstone on my tinkers hammer to make it mine faster
every time i switch to it on my hotbar or try mine blocks it plummets my frames from 120 to 20, and has some intense block lag.
i have got haste/redstone on all my other tools and it works normal on all of them
i have tried going into creative and putting redstone on other hammers and the same lag effect happens

3 months ago, my relationship with a borderline ended. The relationship was a constant rollercoaster ride.
I knew she had BPD, she told me about her diagnosis about a month or two into the relationship and we only lasted about 6 months.
I tried so hard to understand the disorder, to not let it define her or our relationship, I wanted to help her with it too, I researched it, spoke about what I can do for her when she is splitting or feelings her emotions. I tried to give her all the support I could.
Now that time has passed and I am no longer blinded by her beauty or what I thought was an intense, genuine connection I see things clearly.
Once the relationship ended I began researching BPD, I spent hours every day trying to understand her and what happened between us. This became an obsession for me, something that distracted me from the chaotic breakup and my thoughts about her.
I lost a lot due to her, I gave up countless opportunities, missed out on experiences which I won’t have again due to the circumstances of our relationship and location. I compromised my mental health for hers, I lost friends and distanced myself from my family and I lost what was a significant amount of money for me.
The relationship was abusive like many here, I was gaslit, blackmailed, controlled, called names, devalued, and continuously punished for past mistakes.
We would spend hours fighting about something stupid, this mostly consisted of her being withdrawn from me, listing everything that was wrong with me, asking me to leave and then when I go to leave punishing me for that. I would miss meals due to these fights which complimented the stress I felt and often times the fight would end with me being pushed to my limit and breaking down.
I noticed that when we would fight that it would end if I started crying, I started allowing myself to cry in front of her during these times to try and put an end to the fights and this made me feel like a terrible person or narcissistic for deploying my emotions to stop her attacks and now as I look back I find that so devastating that I did that and thought those things.
Once the fights ended things would magically reset like nothing at all happened, we’d usually reconnect with sex which was always intense and frequent. Then the clock started again until the cycle repeated.
I had been pushed to my limit mentally, she had taken so much energy from me so my only option was to remove myself from her which meant leaving where I was and moving somewhere far away from her, this was partly due to other circumstances but mainly because of her.
She begged me to stay with her and go long distance, we had broken up multiple times before I made this decision in the space of a month and I was so exhausted and under pressure from her mother who was now involved with us that I gave in.
I left her, gave long distance a try for two weeks and then we had a massive fight, it was like a nuclear bomb detonating. She tried to overdose and I was made responsible for getting her help, I spent hours trying to find out where she was over the phone in a different time zone so the emergency services could get to her, thankfully they did.
She was brought to hospital and the relationship was put to an end by me, I explained what had happened was too much, wished her well and blocked her on everything (apart from one thing which she then sent me the most horrible message I’ve ever received on the next day, but I didn’t reply, I blocked that account too).
There has been no direct attempt to hoover ever since, I have not tried to contact her either and have no intention or desire of ever speaking to her again.
Immediately after what had happened I was relieved, I felt a massive weight lift from my shoulders and I wasn’t drowning with her anymore.
I went through every stage of grief, I went to counselling, had a massive break down to my parents, I felt so guilty for what had happened, I was depressed too. The anxiety I felt was unmatched to anything before, I was terrified of the smear campaign she promised to deliver, I accepted that she would ruin my life but it never came directly to me, I have no idea what she has told her friends but no harm has came my way (something I am so grateful for as I know some here have gone through some very difficult circumstances following a breakup with a borderline and you have my absolute sympathy if that is you).
After three months to the day, things are getting easier. I do not think about her as much as I did, I recognise her for who she is and how she treated me and I have accepted that I didn’t deserve that.
I don’t hate her, hate can help but it does not heal and holding resentment gives the borderline more power over you, it is important to acknowledge what happened, educate yourself on the disorder and forgive the circumstances, forgive the person as they do not know what they do, but never go back.
A borderline is not like you and I, their brain structure and chemistry is different to a regular person, they are an emotional child trapped in an adults body who has developed unhealthy coping mechanisms and strategies to get what they want which take years to unlearn.
The life of a borderline is internally and externally destructive, the chaos they feel in their mind is projected onto those around them and the clock only stops with them. They do not care about you, they can’t. A borderline cannot recognise what they do to others and whilst I used this as a justification for her treatment towards me, it is never a justification for abuse and makes things extraordinarily difficult to leave them.
I had accepted when I was with her that this is my life now, maybe one day in some years she will get better and her symptoms will go into remission. This is not the case, yes a borderline after years of therapy can manage their symptoms better and life might get easier for them and those around them but it is never your responsibility to wait for them.
A borderline mirrors you, they use you to regulate their emotions, they are an empty vassal that latches on to you and it is your job to provide them with stability in their minds. They are parasites for your energy and emotional stability.
Before I met her I was a confident, easy going, happy young man. Now I am damaged, emotionally drained and my mental health is starting to get better but it was the worst it has ever been.
Things do get better though, it is normal to miss them, to think that things could be different, they make promises to work on themselves, they tell you things will be different but things will never change. They make you think you are a perfect person, they boost your ego by putting you on a pedestal and we become addicted to that treatment.
I imagine what my days would be like if she was still in my life and we continued long distance, I see myself spending hours on the phone with her, worrying about when the next outburst will be, spending hours getting her to come to her senses and stop splitting on me. Feeling on edge constantly.
I am much happier trading those feelings for the feelings of peace and freedom, I would much rather feel lonely and sad sometimes than have her in my life.
Yes, my relationship was short, we did not have children, we weren’t married and I got out quickly. I am lucky to be in that position. But for those who may be coming out of a relationship with a borderline, you have your life back now no matter how long it was, reality for what it is will return to you and you do not need to live in their chaotic fantasy world any more.
Educate yourself on the disorder, look after yourself and take your time to recover because you need it. Things do get easier and it will get better, remain in no contact and let time heal your wounds.

I went to a game exhibition called Gamecores on Saturday. They gave each person 25 minutes of trial play time. l went to play twice, and below are some of the information and impressions l got from the trial. Moreover, since the game is in the Chinese version, l cannot guarantee that the translation of the name of the innate skill is correct. For some names that are difficult to translate, l will directly describe which demon possesses them and their effects.

Innate skill

Innate skill is somewhat similar to Trait in Persona 5 Royal, not all innate skills are unique, but for now, it seems that they cannot inherit other demons' innate skills like in P5R.
The X means to skill type like fire ice light dark etc.
X Melody: While active, all allies will deal increased X element damage when striking enemies with a weakness to X. There is also physical version, but it increases the critical hit damage. There might also be an Almighty version.(for this guy is ice)
Enhancer: While active, allies with a lower affinity for X skills than yourself will have their affinity increased to the same level as yours(for unicorn is light)
The higher the affinity for a X element among allies (except yourself, the higher the damage of your corresponding skills. for apsarā is Ice)
Higher accuracy and critical hit chance against enemies inflicted with status ailments.
More likely to naturally recover from status ailments.
Innate skills with a chance are more likely to activate.
Pathfinder - The accuracy of your next ally is greatly increased, and it is not easy to misjudge targets even when inflicted with mirage.
Wanderer - While active, the refresh time for relics becomes shorter.
Neko 2 Punch - If there is another member in the party with this trait, damage is increased.
Allies’ magic skills also have a chance to critical hit enemies inflicted with status ailments.
While in the active party, allies with Omagatoki effects will have multi-hit attacks' Accuracy and max possible hits increased.
When demons are unhappy during a conversation, they will come out to mediate.
While in Omagatoki effect, inflicting an enemy with a status ailment does not cost a press turn.
When attacking an enemy in a sleep ailment, the sleep will not be dispelled.
If the previous all performed a single-target attack, then attacking the same target will have Increased accuracy and critical hit chance.

Since it's the very early stage of the game, I didn't find any new miracles. The protagonist's innate skill should be able to be changed through the essence of Aogami, but whether we can use other demons' innate skills remains unknown.

New Magatsuhi Skill based on alignment

The Hare of Inaba side quest for rewarded a law-neutral alignment Magatsuhi skill. By gathering two law-neutral demons, you can use the calamity skill “Spring of Order.” It only requires one demon to participate in battle. The effect is to heal the skill user beyond their maximum HP and increase 1 press turn icon for the next round (which means 10 actions in total).
Additionally, the rate at which the Magatsuhi gauge fills is noticeably faster than in the original smtv. It feels like the combat system in smtvv is built with Magatsuhi skills as one of its cores.

The Naamah boss battle takes place in the original 'The Angel's Trail' quest. Naamah will teleport you to the sacred land of Qadištu, which is the place with the giant snake skeleton shown in the trailer. After the boss battle, the remaining members of Qadištu appear, and Lilith says, “Now the time has come for you to prepare the Nahobino for sacrifice."
This battle seems to test a newcomer's understanding of the ailment and resistance system, because Naamah only uses dark skills. If you have a demon that nullifies dark, you can easily neutralize it. The more challenging part is the charm, as there aren't many ways to cure status ailments for whole team in the early stage of the game.
My team composition was Obariyon, Zhu Tun She, and Daemon. I needed to protect Zhu Tun She because it is weak to dark. Apsaras and Mermaid served mainly as support roles and Magatsuhi skill launchers. Apsaras's Magatsuhi skill can grant up to 10 actions in the next round. Mermaid's innate skill increases the maximum number of hits and accuracy, but there might be a cap on this maximum number of hits in Omagatoki effect; it seems that Aramasa still hits 8 times, which is very obvious when using other multi-hit skills. The trial play lineup was quite limited; the official version will offer more choices.

Misc

The game runs on PC, with 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, very smooth, and the graphics look good. You can use the sky view anywhere.
Didn't really explore the demon haunts much.

Two of my braided solo loop Apple Watch bands are currently absolutely drenched in fragrance and I can't seem to get the smell out. I saw an older post about the silicone band, but this material is pretty different. I've tried scrubbing with hand soap and a toothbrush (this alone normally works) and then soaking in Soak wash for 30 minutes and rinsing multiple times. The smell is still there.
This wouldn't be a huge issue but a) I like to alternate fragrances that do not layer well and b) one of my bands absolutely reeks of a fragrance I tried and hated.
Please help... how do I get the smell out?
If you're curious about these apparently eternal fragrances:

1. House of Bo Espirítu (Tesoro/parfum) - Supposed to be leathery/woody, but I'm getting a blast of either lemon or lily of the valley? It's nice, but not what I expected.
2. Byredo Pulp - This is the one I can't stand... thought I liked it in the store, brought a sample home and it smells like rotting fruit.

Looking for some advice on if what I am thinking of is feasible.
Going to preface this with a few things to hopefully make it easier to understand where I am coming from: late-40s woman currently living in the UK. Have lived in 5 different countries so understand the difficulties of moving to foreign countries/grass is not always greenesomewhere you go on holiday is not like living there. My current Japanese level is around N4, and I have a friend who teaches at a Japanese language school who really wants me to come and study there and would help me with visas etc. This is now looking like something I can do. And if I did, and got to N1/fluent level and wanted to stay in Japan, I would start by looking for a position in industries similar to what I have already done (project management, publications management, business improvement). I wouldn't expect a senior position, but is there the remotest chance of finding work in these industries that pay the bills?
I have travelled to Japan multiple times and travelled all over the main islands, and would prefer to live somewhere like Nagoya (lots of friends there) or Nagano, but would be happy to live in Tokyo or Osaka if that is where I could find work.

I’ve been doing a project on my own time with the help of my IR professor in which I’ve been interviewing people from different parts of the world. I can’t share the questions ahead of the interview because a lot of them are first-instinct sort of thing, but a lot if them involve specific aspects of one’s culture, comparing it to US culture, and the things you love and dislike about your home. So far I have interviewed someone from Ghana (my IR professor who helped me create a lot of these questions and refine them), Sri Lanka, Jamaica, England, El Salvador, Canada (English-speaking Quebecer), and a Uyghur. I originally was saying the I want to interview someone from every country, but it quickly because apparent, especially after my interview with the Uyghur, that there are so many Nationless people whose voices deserve to be heard. Not even considering the fact that multiple different kinds of perspectives are also valuable (for example, I will be interviewing another Ghanian from a different tribe). Unfortunately, I am not in a part of the country where there are many indigenous folks, and I don’t know any personally. I was wondering if anyone here would be able to point me somewhere in my area in which I could find someone(s) would want to be interviewed, or perhaps you would like to be interviewed yourself. Currently have abit of an existential dilemma, around what I should do and would love to check my thinking with some other HENRYS. Job wise of late I feel like I am not being challenged enough and that what I am doing is no longer intellectually interesting. Am I just being a child in this matter and unrealistic?
My work situation is pretty great. 100% work from home with maybe 1-2 times every 2 months client travel for 2-3 days. Great WLB I would say I work between 20-50hrs a week (mostly on the lower side). Great boss who is senior in firm and basically gives me everything he can. Salary base around £270k with TC around £400k-450k including bonus ( have revived max payout for 5+ years so no signs of that changing).
The day to day work I find easy as have been doing it for a while but mostly boring. I work in enterprise technology consulting so a lot of working with clients on the business side which is highly political, they are not that savvy and a lot of the work is trying to explain to them how things work in basic terms and advising on best practices ( and selling obviously). The people are a mixed bag a lot of very toxic folks / environments as with a lot of large companies, but most I am advising are decent towards me as I am helping them with their objectives. Most of my day is PowerPoint, email, meetings… the only parts of my day I really enjoy is the +1 topics where I get to get hands on with product management, tech vision and in some instances writing code/ playing with technologies…
From a TC prospective at current firm kinda at the limit unless I want to get into hardcore sales, owning a p&l and travelling a tun. All of which I don’t want…
My options I see as:
1 - The easiest path forward is to do nothing, will continue atleast for next 10 yrs to earn this TC, though from a interest level the least interesting ( though I can potentially do some small side projects).
2 - Move into a new field at company ( trending tech i.e ai) though new boss new network that could turn out to be a nightmare, same for WLB… though would be interesting and give some new career options (though might not transfer into much of a TC difference).
3 - look to jump into a late stage scale up / FAANG with much higher risk/reward but would be way more interesting career wise….though WLB could be again a nightmare.
4 - setup one consulting business, high risk/ reward. Initially higher WLB and potentially no income. I have done this before successfully and due to my profile not crazy risky..
Current situation is: - 1.3m house with 500k loan left - 500-600k in shares, isa, savings. - 200k pension
Am I crazy to keep coasting in option 1 even though career wise there’s not much growth / intellectually fairly boring…
