My Bestie Keeps Insulting Me During Disagreements (Advice?)

2024.05.21 22:50 Gretchen_Moon My Bestie Keeps Insulting Me During Disagreements (Advice?)

I’m not sure what to do anymore about these disagreements I’ve been having with my best friend. I [25F] and my friend [24F] have been getting into disagreements lately due to differences of opinion, and to me, they haven’t been something that serious, or something out of my control. For context, we have been friends for 12+ years.
One example is that I tried to go visit her last summer (she lives a few states away from me), and things didn’t end up working out the way we had hoped. Also, she has a very strict schedule, where she can only have some holiday weekends off work. My job was very stingy about letting employees have time off, so I had to see if I could even get off for the dates that she wanted me to come. I had to wait a few weeks before I found out if they would let me have off. In addition to that, I have travel anxiety if I have to be in one of the biggest and busiest airports in the U.S. by myself. I had only flown once before this, and it was with my family, in small airports, so I wasn’t very familiar with what big airports were like or how to navigate them. I was afraid I would get lost and miss my flight and not know what to do, a long way from home. I am not good at thinking on the fly when I’m stressed out, so I expressed this to her. She said that it was easy, but I was still nervous. Meanwhile, I was waiting for my boss to confirm that I could take off, worried that I would be a few states away, still needing to get on another flight in a huge airport by myself, and missing it. The plane tickets kept getting more expensive over the next couple of weeks, and my friend got impatient with me for not booking the flights yet. Then she told me not to come, so I was pretty disappointed, but respected her wishes, because it was her house that I would be staying at. This came the morning after I found out that my time off was approved, and the tickets were a little steep, but I could still afford them. I was going to book the tickets that morning, but she was upset and told me not to, so I let it go. About a week or two later, she asked me again if I was coming. I said no, that she told me not to come, so I respected that and didn’t book the tickets. She got mad at me because she really wanted to see me, and said I was being selfish. I told her that now the tickets were more than I could afford ($1000 round trip), and that when my time off was approved, I wanted to come see her, but she told me not to come, so I thought she didn’t want me there. She said if I had just booked the tickets before then, they wouldn’t have been $1000, but I tried, and she didn’t want me to. She called me selfish, a bad friend, flaky, and said that she can’t count on me for anything, and kept telling me about other friends who came down to visit her (in a way that said “these people are my true friends”), but I wouldn’t. She minimized my travel anxiety that I mentioned to her, by saying she flies out of that airport all the time, and it wasn’t hard at all. I needed to think about someone other than myself and my anxiety. I was going to go through with it despite my anxiety because I was excited to see her, but it ended up not being able to happen. This is just one example, but there have been several the past couple of years.
In these disagreements that didn’t seem to be friendship ending ones, just differences of opinion about little things, things have been blown way out of proportion, and it feels like she is attacking my character. As I mentioned, she has called me flaky, selfish, a bad person and friend, she can never trust me to follow through (even though in 12+ years I have never bailed on her). She said that if I wanted my life to be ruined by anxiety and I never want to do anything worthwhile with my life, then go ahead. She has said I’m bitter, jealous of her, I don’t want her to be happy, I’ll never find a husband, I’m lazy, and I’m going to be left behind in life while she and other people succeed, and that I’d never get my license if I was like this (the last one was in response to me saying I had bad driving anxiety and I wanted to get my license, but it was really hard for me). Spoiler alert: I do have my license now. The list goes on.
Anyway, all that’s to say I’m exhausted by her continuing to put me down and saying I won’t succeed and that I’m a bad person, when we have a difference of opinion. It hurts me, and I’ve expressed that several times. I try to calmly push back and give her evidence to support that I’m not flaky and that I’ve been by her side through 12 years. She gets defensive and says “I’m sorry you feel that way”, and when I tell her it hurts me, and try to counteract the insults, she gets even more mad, and sometimes stone walls me for a few days. I really care about her, and we have had a lot of good memories and years spent together, but I don’t know how much more I can take. I somehow still don’t want to lose her. Advice?

2024.05.21 22:34 Waterbugs2 NTTA Failure to Pay Criminal Case!! Advice needed for anybody who has experience with NTTA

I’m going to school out of Texas, my parents didn’t tell me I was getting any zip pay invoice. I went home a month ago for spring break and found all of the invoices from a year ago and freaked out. It’s $500 with the late fees.
Now I forwarded my mail, I just got sent that I have a criminal charge of failure to pay, and I have to contact the court before 5/30. It’s 5/21 today and I just received this letter a few days ago. it was sent on 5/1. I need to contact the court “to make disposition for criminal case”, or else the court will issue a warrant for my arrest. I wish I could just explain my situation. The court number on the letter won’t pick up any calls the last few days I’ve been trying, so I can atleast semi-explain my situation. I already contacted NTTA and paid it off in full. I paid $500, I can no way afford a plane ticket down to Texas now if I need to appear in court. It’s a 24 hour drive away.
Does anybody have experience with this? Will I need to plan around buying a plane ticket to appear in court? Do I try calling the court number listed on google?

2024.05.21 21:57 Handlesshandjob Just finished our first trip. Definitely coming back!

Just finished our first trip. Definitely coming back!
6 day trip. 3 in Caye Caulker, 3 in San Pedro. This group was so helpful in planning our trip, so thank you! We are already planning an inland trip for our next adventure. Caye Caulker: We stayed at Barefoot Hotel. (Not barefoot beach, accidentally walked there first.) The wife and I really liked it, would happily stay there again. The free on site bikes were awesome!
*E-Z Boys- Full day snorkel and sail trip. Had a fantastic time! They took care of everything, even sent us free GoPro footage.
*Sunrise scuba- 2 tank dive. Very professional and well organized. Got a surprise by getting to hand spear lionfish and making fresh ceviche. Highly recommended.
*Dining - Pelican Sunset bar, Barefoot restaurant, Ice N Beans, Sip n Dip and Happy Lobster. All the food was great but Happy Lobster / Ice n Beans were phenomenal!
*Extras- Biked all over the place(didn’t make it across the split). Stingray feeding at iguana reef, tarpon feeding, swing bar and sunsets hanging out at the split with our own cooler of Belikin!
Belize Express Ferry to San Pedro
San Pedro: Stayed 1 night at Mayan Princess and 2 nights in an Airbnb on Secret Beach. ( Both were fine, but would probably find something different for a future trip.)
*Fishing trip- Half day with Captain Hilly Boo at Freedom Tours. Can not recommend enough. I have been on many fishing trips and don’t remember having a harder working crew and more knowledgeable captain. The wife said this was her favorite excursion!
  • VIP golf cart rental- 90us for 2 days. Having the golf cart was clutch, explored as much as we could! Even found some spots to fish while riding around(caught a barracuda).
*Secret Beach- The water is crystal clear! So beautiful and No Sargasm! Bring a cooler with your own drinks! Found a small bar (Aurora)with 2 covered tables in the water, purchased 2 drinks with a fat tip and he let us use our own cooler the rest of the time!
*Dining- Elvi’s was everything we expected and more! It was so good, and we had a cool convo with Elvi’s grandson. Blue Bayou, Boozy Octo, Rum Dogs, French Bakery. Blue bayou cooked some of our fish from our trip (photo included) and it was super delicious with a 1 of a kind environment!
Least favorite part: “Sprinter” water ferry to Caye Caulker. It was miserable. Taxi driver took us there. Guessing he got a commission. The Belize express ferry was a much larger boat, cheaper, and had more air flow for our trip to San Pedro from Caye Caulker. We flew from San Pedro to Belize international which was a cool flight. Round trip tickets with the ferry are a better deal, but if you are able, I recommend trying both the ferry and plane on your trip so you can make your own opinion.
Sorry for the info overload but we had such an amazing time that I just had to share! Thank you to the beautiful citizens and beautiful landscapes of Belize for making this an unforgettable trip! We will definitely be coming back soon!

2024.05.21 21:52 DiemAlara Had a fascinating conversation with a rules lawyer.

Said rules lawyer had a plan, see. Become a god and annoy people with the most intrusive mass surveillance system any world had ever known so that they could pretend the rules on targeting shit don't exist and counter their magic from another plane.
Not a great start, but I figured some amusing insanity could follow, might as well indulge for a bit. How on earth does one supposedly become a god?
Apparently the first step is to cast Leomund's tiny hut. Then you cast fabricate to turn the hut into an undead corpse. Reason for why this clearly nonsensible thing can supposedly be done?
'Cause a magic item can make objects out of force. Supposedly means that force is thus a raw material, and can be used in place of anything. And what's more, using fabricate supposedly makes it so that the force doesn't disappear when the spell maintaining it ends.
Some wild shit. But the best part is that, obviously, making something out of force is unnecessary as you can just obtain its raw materials, so I wondered why the hell you'd even bother.
Supposedly, if you use force as opposed to raw materials, it's not susceptible to DM fiat. Makes up a rule saying you can use Leomund's tiny hut as a crafting supply and he's doing it because he thinks the DM's going to say he doesn't have the right materials.
'Course, fabricate makes mention of the fact that you can't actually make an object if you don't know how to craft it out of raw materials, and that the thing you create can't be magical. So the notion that you'll be creating it out of magical force kinda explicitly doesn't work, and the notion that any character in existence can fabricate a working corpse is absurd.
But then it goes one step beyond, for the objective is to return this supposed fake corpse to a state of undeath that it was never in, and in so doing replicate the magical abilities it never actually had. Something fabricate explicitly can't do, but what are rules to a lawyer?
Only problem there is that there really isn't a way to revive an undead. You can turn humanoids into undead pretty easily, but turning what was once an undead back into a functioning one is fairly complicated. But the lawyer had a plan.
True polymorph into a Dybbuk.
Only problem there is that Dybbuk can't possess undead corpses. They also can't possess fabrications made out of pure force formed into the shape of an undead corpse. But there, he has a solution!
Cast Nystul's magic aura on the fabrication to make it appear to divination and magical senses as though it were a humanoid. Actual, literal Road Runner logic where painting the image of a tunnel onto a rock surface allows some birds to run through it.
'Course, to that, I raised a question. Supposedly, according to this misinterpretation of what Nystul's does, you would be able to cast it on an ooze.
A brainless, skullless ooze.
Does said ooze, now appearing to supernatural senses as though it were a humanoid, have the ability to fall victim to an intellect devourer's ability to eat a target's brain and inhabit its skull?
The answer to this question, supposedly, was yes.
As a result? Supposedly you're now capable of using fabricate to replicate the magical ability of any being in existence by turning into a Dybbuk to take control of corpses made out of magic under the effect of an illusion that makes sensory spells and effects misread them as humanoid in origin. And instead of using this to contest Asmodeus's control over the denizens of hell, the best way to use this power is to turn into a lich, make a surveillance state over the entire world, and use it to annoy wizards by occasionally counterspelling them.
Which is fun as a thought experiment, absolutely. But what I don't get is why someone would bother trying to convince anyone else that any of it was legal.

2024.05.21 21:50 Sosuki A warning to those on forest FB exchanges

I have entered my own hell...
I first attended EF in 2018 and absolutely fell in love with it but it was around this time that I started medical school and have been unable to attend again till this year. I am having my bachelorette party and I wanted to impress the party guests with the absolute blast that can be RV camping. Of course, without loyalty I could not get an RV pass. So I immediately put myself on the waiting list and have been hopeful that by some miracle I can get one. So my sorry ass took to all the FB groups to try to score a pass and it has been scammer after scammer NONSTOP.
I give each reply a chance, they say they have a pass, face value… perfect! Well I begin to vet their profile, clearly nothing posted since 2019… okay, suspicious. They say they will do paypal g&s but get aggressive and mean if I don’t reply in 10 minutes. Suspicious, block. They want to talk and exchange funds on telegram, block. Their profile randomly disappears, okay scammer. I reverse image search their profile, find real person of account they stole, scammer.
Finally, a guy says he's just trying to get some money back. He hates the “scammers.” He says he's different, tells me I can trust him. Then asks for my number and says I have to verify the code he sent to me… NOPE. I am done, we will see yall in GA camping! I am almost to the point of creating a fake account just to waste these f*ckers time and stop them from actually taking money from the hard-working festival goers that just want freaking tickets. Rant over.

2024.05.21 21:41 Ok-Plate2502 Movies nowadays aren’t good

I don’t know what happened. Maybe it’s because so many people think they can do what other people do because this generation is so “forgiving”, if so it bothers me.
First off the actors/actresses are pathetic. None of them can act. 1: it’s because they aren’t casting talented people, they casting either attractive people or people with big followings. 2: The actresses and actors who used to be good are now being cast in films that don’t let them showcase their talents. 3: most of the characters they act as aren’t complex.
Second, the film directors don’t know what the fuck they’re doing. Most of the films look uncanny and too perfect. Back then the early 2000 films looked natural and so were the characters. For example “mean girls” characters in early 2000 are way better compared to this generation not because it’s the original but because Regina was intimidating. This new Regina is trying to appear mean but she isn’t intimidating. She gives off an I know it all vibes. Then the lighting was too bright. The people are too animated. The actresses aren’t portraying the characters right. There’s no feeling, no emotions, just perfection that makes it so boring.
Third, Writers are horrible. They don’t know how to write therefore they keep re-making movies. And if they don’t re-make movies, they steal a movie and make it into their own. Then they force things into it like slang, wokeness, etc. They try to appeal to Gen-Z instead of writing a fucking movie. “American horror story” used to be good now look at it. They try so hard to be funny that it’s uncanny, they even have Kim Kardashian to make it popular, that’s a tactic. I mean they did have Ariana Grande but she’s actually an actress. Kim sounded so fake when she was saying her lines.
So many influencers are stepping into the film industry, they already ruined music industry. So many easy access. No one is actually working. No one cares. They just want money and popularity. They don’t care about the vision, they don’t want art.

2024.05.21 21:41 TameVulcan Wanting to back out of a Mission Trip

Hey yall,
I’d like to start by asking that people remain civil as this discussion is about a faith based event. I understand people have their own beliefs and in no way am I asking for you to conform to my beliefs to give me advice. I’m here for the social aspect of the advice.
I’m supposed to be going on a mission trip soon. I initially signed up because of a new friend I had. I was really enjoying spending time with this person and sort of impulsively committed to this trip. Fast-forward a few months down the road and I realize that this person isn’t really someone that I want to be a close friend with, and certainly isn’t someone that I wanna be overseas for an extended period of time.
I’m trying to determine the best approach to backing out of this, as this friend is one of the main organizers for the trip. Straight up saying I’m not interested would be conflicting with the months of interest that I’ve expressed. Already paid, my plane ticket has bought etc.
I’m not wanting to flat out say to this friend that I don’t really want much to do with them anymore. I’m just looking for any possibilities of gracefully exiting this with minimal drama. Would love to hear your thoughts.

2024.05.21 21:37 Slippery_Williams Your best trapper tips?

Really been enjoying trapper and have been getting consistently better. Not sure if I’m at high mmr and in some games you just can’t do much, but the percentage of traps I place that catch people has risen dramatically
Obviously the games are harder with SWFS calling you out and people seeing your aura, but I’ve had tons of 4k games playing like this. Not pretending I’m an expert but I’ve had excellent results doing the stuff below
As for perks, I don’t like gen slowdown so use what you want, I like chase/location perks so right now I’m running

2024.05.21 21:31 BenKerryAltis WARNO if it's set in Suzerainverse

About WARNO)
Background:
The first division to be introduced on the Sordish side was the 5th Infantry Division. Deployed in the Nargis region as part of the Sordland First Army, The 5th infantry division is perhaps the most typical of all Sordish infantry divisions before the war of 1958. In fact, the Sordish armed force inquiry specifically designated the division as a template division. The 5th Infantry Division saw its first combat in the Estord pincer; it has since taken part in many major campaigns throughout the war.
Logistics: The 5th infantry division is designed with strong logistical capability in mind, providing the commander with a range of different options for combat sustainment
Sunolis 32 truck: the stereotypical truck that represents the Sordish Armed Forces
M52 munition carrier: the license-produced Arcasian carrier has been used as a mechanized troop transport. On some occasions, they are used to ferry ammunition to the frontline.
Fielddepot: a hardened strongpoint for storing ammunition. The Sordish doctrine relies on a good defense just like it relies on a good offense.
Sunolis 41 jeep: a mobile ride for commanding officers, not exactly the safest option
Infantry: The backbone of the Sordish Army, the men of the 5th infantry division may not be best of the entire army, but they are well-equipped and ready for combat.
Rifleman (motorized): 10 men squads with 8 G2 combat rifles, one MG21 machine gun, a Carl Gustafsson recoilless rifle (12 penetration with 4 shots), and rifle grenades. Initially, the Lancea reform aimed to fully mechanize all infantry units with M52 carriers. However, due to resource constraints, for each infantry brigades, two infantry battalions are motorized on trucks, and the third is mounted on M52 carriers.
Riflemen (mechanized): 8 men squads with 7 G2 combat rifles, one MG21 machine gun, a Carl Gustafsson recoilless rifle and rifle grenades. The squad rides in M52 carriers to battle. The carrier can reinforce the rifle squads with ammunition and material to reflect the fact that carriers do carry ammo on them. The recoilless
Engineers: 6 men squads with 5 G2s, one MG21, and 4 AT grenades (10 penetration and 50m range). Engineers have always been a part of the Sordish army since the Markian empire. Per doctrine, the engineers should be deployed as a reserve unit in the rear to strengthen defenses, they are not expected to hold the line or storm enemy positions.
Pioneers: Pioneers are specialized combat engineers tasked with storming enemy strongpoints and engage in close combat. This role is reflected by their shock trait, which increases their damage output at close range. A pioneer squad has 9 men with 7 G2s, an FO-47 flamethrower, satchel charges (50m range, 3 HE damage), and AT grenades.
Weapon squad: For each company, four machine guns are allocated; this is reflected by the weapons squad with 4 tripod mounted MG21s. The squad has 8 men with 4 G2 and an additional Carl Gustafsson Recoilless.
Anti-tank squad (motorized): The dismounted recoilless squad operates a crew-served 106mm M51 recoilless rifle (14 penetration, 70% accuracy, 800m range). They reflect the anti-tank squad organic to each motorized company.
Anti-tank squad (mech): mechanized AT squads are attached to each mechanized infantry company from the battalion level; they consist of a 5 men team with two Carl Gustafsson. The squad rides in a M52A carrier armed with a 106mm recoilless rifle.
ATGM squad: This is a new addition to the motorized battalion's anti-tank asset, but it has yet to replace the role of the venerable M53. The BS-3 missile is operated by a three-man team with a minimum range of 400 meters. The MCLOS guidance system resulted in abysmal accuracy (35%), but the long range of the missile and its penetration level (14 penetration with 3000m range) brought a revolutionary change to anti-tank combat.
Headquarters team: the leader of the unit. A five men team with 4 G2 rifles and one recoilless rifle. The headquarters team increases the morale of units within its effect radius and increases their veteran level. Enemy units seen by the HQ team can also be targeted with artillery with reduced aiming time due to their “forward observer” trait.
Artillery: Despite being smaller than their gargantuan Rumburgian counterpart, Sordish infantry divisions have access to a wide range of artilleries.
81mm mortar team: Five-men team with an 81mm, not the best nor the worst. (2 HE damage, fast fire rate)
M502 mortar carrier: A M52 carrier configured to carry 120mm mortar (3 HE damage, fast fire rate)
HF110 howitzer: a towed piece of 110mm artillery (3 HE damage, medium fire rate but with longer range and ammunition)
HF155 howitzer: a towed piece of 155 (4 HE damage, medium fire rate)
L213 SPG: A self-propelled 155mm artillery gun, it is armored to protect itself against enemy counterbattery fire (4 HE damage, medium fire rate)
Rk228 “pipe organ”: A heavy multiple-launch rocket artillery capable of firing 16 480mm rockets in one row. The accuracy is poor, but it can absolutely devastate enemy strong points.
Tanks: The Lancea reform seeks to turn the army into a modernized force capable of inflicting devastating losses on enemy units through maneuver warfare. The division’s tank arsenal has been modernized to some degree.
B-45 tanks: first developed in 1945, the tanks were pretty outdated by 1958. They lack modern armor and cannot reliably damage newer tanks with their 88mm gun. (4 front armor, 2 side armor, 1 rear armor, the 88 gun deals 2 HE and 10 penetration with 40% accuracy over 2300m range)
B-55 tanks: the update to B-45 tanks (pretty much T-55 but better), the B-55s are equipped with smoke launchers, newer 100mm guns, and active night vision capability to counter the Rumburgian night capability. The armor is also improved (7 front armor, 3 side armor, 1 rear armor, the 100mm gun deals 3 HE and 14 penetration with 45% accuracy over 2500m range)
B-55M1, the newest generation of the B-55 series, the tanks are equipped with ballistic computers and better armor, the ammunition is also improved. (9 front armor, 5 side armor, the gun deals 16 penetration with a kinetic projectile with 60% accuracy over 2500m range)
B-55cmd, a command variant of B-55, with leader trait and forward observer trait
Recon: The ability to get information across is essential in modern warfare, hence the army has invested much in this field
FernJaeger: 10 men motorized squad with 7 G2 rifles, 2 MG21 machineguns, 1 Carl Gustaf, and grenades. They have exceptional stealth and spotting.
Belluxjaeger: 4-man team with one Carl Gustaf. They can ride in M52 Jagdhross carriers (the recon version of M52, it is equipped with one 106mm and two MG21 guns). or jeeps
Hettmotor Fuchs: A 6-wheeled armored car with a 20mm cannon and smoke launcher (3 front armor, good spotting)
Air Defense: the Sordish air force is confident in their ability to stop most enemy air attack, but infantry divisions usually retain a strong anti-air component
M42 20mm: dual 20mm anti-air gun, it is somewhat obsolete
M55 anti-air: Self-propelled quad 20mm anti-air gun with radar assisted guidance, the main defense against Rumburgian air threat.
FK-20 Magico: Lespian infrared anti-air missile, the only weapon system not made in Sordland. The missiles have a 60% hit rate against air targets.
Helicopters: Sordish infantry divisions do not have access to much helicopters, most helicopter assets are centralized to armored divisions
Antelope II: Lespian light helicopter, somewhat commonly used in the Rika continent by the Pretorian Defense Force and some Arcasian PMCs, the helicopter is mostly used for recon with only an MG21 mounted on it.
Planes: The Sordish Air Force is an independent strategic branch. Due to limited resources, they are more concerned with gaining air superiority and acting as an interdicting force. The vast majority of infantry units cannot call in close air support. A longtime joke is that a colonel in an infantry division can call in as much air support as a captain in a tank division can.
P-86 Sabre: the plane comes in two variations; A2A variant is armed with a Rattlesnake air-to-air missile (60% accuracy). The rocket variant fires 128mm rockets.
P-104 Starfighter: the Arcasian plane’s reliance on speed has made it notorious for crash incidents, it is often nicknamed as “flying coffin” by aircrews. The plane comes in a bomber variant with two 450kg bombs.
P-100 Super Sabre: the backbone of the Sordish air force, the A2A version has semi-active radar missiles in addition to Rattlesnakes, the bomb version carries four 450kg bombs and two 20mm gun pods

2024.05.21 20:29 Life-Refuse-6670 premonition death dream of myself

I have a lot of crazy dreams, sometimes they’re goofy and everything looks like something out of Alice in wonderland. Sometimes they’re graphic and my dad gets his knees quite literally busted out in front of me. Sometimes they’re so real that the only noticeable difference is weird color or hazy vision. But this one I had on May 17th, 2024 was not like the others and it’s been eating at my daily living for a couple days now. I have a trip planned in August (10th-14th) of this year for my birthday, I already have the plane tickets bought and lodging arrangements in order. In this dream I was flying home from this trip, I was happy and talking to my significant other about how great my birthday was. We spoke in full English, which was odd considering a lot of dreams don’t tend to do this, at least for me. I was reading the signs at the airport, getting to my gate to aboard my flight and so on. We get on the united airplane, and it begins to descend. I feel the push back as it starts to go up and the gravity pulls me against my seat. As it’s going up, it felt like it actually stood still in the air for a moment before it began to fall straight down. There was no warning, no oxygen masks, no one had any idea this was happening. When it crashed I lived through it, I awoke to smoke and fire and alarms going off around me. There was riots, people were screaming and fighting everywhere. There was a familiar sound, the American emergency alert system. It kept repeating itself saying,”the United States has been attacked, we are being invaded. This is not a test.” And my heart sank, I think I passed out again, but this was the only gap in the whole dream. I woke up again in a hotel room. It was extremely clean and I was alone. I rushed to my phone to search for my mom and dad’s contacts, I had to make sure they were okay or at least warn them what had just happened. I was scrolling and scrolling but it felt like I couldn’t find them in my phone, but all of a sudden a huge orange ball passed across my window changing the night sky to look day. I got up and ran to the window to see what it was and then it hit me. The radiation blast, I didn’t even have time to react. I felt the radiation vibrate inside of my skin, it kept rumbling around until what felt like my skin falling off. There was no pain but I started to think (which I do not do in my dreams usually) about the fact I was literally dying. I told myself, “ this is it. I’m finally dying, it’s over. I’m going to see the afterlife.” I was anxious on that thought but then immediately hit with sadness, I am losing my family, I’m dying and I will never see them again. In my next life I won’t remember them. I began to repeat all of their names over and over in hope I would remember them. Within less than a second that all went through my head in this dream. When I finally woke up I reached for my dogs collar, I didn’t think I was really alive. I personally believe in parallel universes and the endless idea that there are many different realities of ourselves out there. Possibly an answer to Deja vu but I’m uncertain.
I reached for her collar to see if it was still pink, because if it had changed color, then it was proof I had somehow changed universes. Yes I realize writing that down it sounds absolutely bonkers, but it was my first thought after waking up from a premonition death of an event that is actually taking place in my life in 3 months. I’m writing this dream down in hopes that someone has had a similar experience, has anyone you know dreamt about their future death? What would you do? Have you ever fully died in your dreams?
To clear some bases: 1. No, nothing in my life has changed this is not a “transition” interpretation dream of death. I’m currently just a college student who plays video games, I literally do not do anything that would be considered a self realization transition. 2. At the risk of sounding insane and stupid, I watched and believe in the final destination movies ideology. If I am to cheat death because I saw my future before it happened, worse death will be upon me. So i am not canceling my trip, but I might have to get some medicine to make me sleep on this damn plane after all this.
I know this is long so if you read through all of this thank you and please give leave a thought. If nothing else, some encouragement that I’m not crazy lol, or if you think I’m crazy, give me a logical explanation and tell me it’s just my brain having anxiety. Honestly, anything will help at this point I’m spiraling.

2024.05.21 20:15 loveisblood DID I GET SCAMMED??? help

I got some tickets for a show. The virtual queue was way too long and I was given a supposedly "hacked" shortcut link to get to the front of the line w/o having to wait. I bought 3 tickets. I immediately get this email from TicketPortal's official email address (I verified the Ls weren't Is), stating I'd just made a purchase and saying I'd have to confirm the credit card belongs to me within 7 days (this Friday) by submitting the transaction code I'll get on my bank statement within 3 days.
These are the links:
The show: lunapark.ticketportal .com. aevent?p=40868E2976EB6F0E7529DDFDDAD726A767B86BDFD1504539
This is the link I was given: lunapark01.ticketportal .com. apurchaseStep02?p=40868E2976EB6F0E7529DDFDDAD726A767B86BDFD1504539
(I put spaces before .com and .ar so they're not clickable.)
I know the link looks sketchy, but back when the tickets came out, everybody was getting the same link as the 2nd one, through the official website, after waiting in line.
Turns out, I posted it on Twitter and right away someone comments on my post saying "it's a scam". I log in into my TicketPortal account, and the tickets are, in fact, showing up. Then a few hours go by and someone else comments it STILL is a scam, because apparently "the website is in fact TicketPortal, it's their domain, but somehow the transaction goes through another entity called AccesoAR" and that "I can see the tickets on my account, I'll get the QR code and all, but when they scan my ticket it'll show up as inexistent/fake"...
So what I'm wondering is: does anybody know if this is EVEN POSSIBLE?

2024.05.21 19:52 gaming-genes Confusions on IMAP-to-Google Workspace Migration with Same Domain Name

I need to migrate from my company's IMAP mail server to Google Workspace with the same domain name (e.g. example.com) but the following confuse me:
  1. How can I sign-in to Google Admin Console with super admin ID, e.g. [myname@example.com](mailto:myname@example.com), when this ID has yet to be existed in Google Workspace in the first place?
  2. Which email address should I use to sign-up for Google Workspace for my company? [myname@gmail.com](mailto:myname@gmail.com) or [myname@example.com](mailto:myname@example.com) ?
  3. Since my company is still using the mail.example.com on other provider with their MX record hidden from us (due to being packaged with their domain name service and web hosting I guess), how can I migrate from this old mail server to Google Workspace with the same domain? Should I transfer the domain name to a new registrar first and leave the old nameservers intact or change the nameservers altogether? If I change the nameservers to the new ones, can Google Workspace's migration tool still be able to access to mail.example.com ? Note that I can't setup the MX record of the old mail server on the new nameservers because they're hidden from us and their technical support is not responding to our support tickets.
  4. Can the Google Workspace's migration tool (the one in the admin console) still work without setting the custom domain name to it? Will it still be able to generate new user accounts with the [employee.name1@example.com](mailto:employee.name1@example.com) and so on with Bulk CSV Migration option?
  5. Due to limited number of Google Workspace accounts per phone number for recovery, is it possible for me to set the security policy to use only the email verification at least for certain accounts? If possible, should I perform this policy change BEFORE the migration or AFTER?
Your clear answers to the my above questions will be highly appreciated, thank you very much!

2024.05.21 19:45 Interesting_Time8303 We'd love to get your take on Native AI - One AI interface for all your apps

Hey Folks,
Our team built Native AI, a companion to get work done faster across apps like Gmail, Slack, Jira and more.
No more context switching, clunky UIs, or manual tasks.
For example, with a single command, Native AI can gather customer issues from sources like Slack, Gmail, and more. You can then file a Jira ticket for tracking with a simple right click on the issue. In addition, Native AI suggests automations based on your workflow, like file a Jira ticket whenever there is a UI related bug in Gmail or Slack.
Moreover, schedule meetings for your team or generate balance sheets from quickbooks. Also, get curated industry news from social channels like LinkedIn, Reddit, and more along with your coffee every morning!
What makes Native AI different?
Native AI is a new paradigm where apps appear and disappear within one AI interface, instead of AI bolted on to the side of every app.
  1. Super fast interactions: Type, speak, or click to interact with AI. Use commands or autocomplete options to speed up your interactions. With one request, view customer messages, track bugs, or generate reports across apps.
  2. Simple interfaces: Operate all apps with a minimalistic UI based on your intent. Get contextual recommendations from AI tailored to your actions. For example, right click on your calendar to send a message and resolve meeting conflicts or record an invoice in Quickbooks from Gmail directly.
  3. Effortless automations: There is no need to set up rules or visual flowchart to automate tasks. You can interact with AI in natural language to set up your automations. Automate filing tickets, sharing messages, generating reports, and more.
Sign up today at https://www.getnative.ai/. We’d love to answer any questions and look forward to any feedback!
