All of these are things I've heard at one point or another, some of it obvious bs and some of it reasonable and correct. It's not helped by the fact that there are three different versions of electrolysis between which no one seems to differentiate, and that there's a lot of variation in hair growth, both between individuals and between areas (facial hair seems to be particularly hard to get rid of). Electrologist skill level probably explains much of the variance in experiences, too. I'm just frustrated that the topic seems so poorly understood and that there seems to be very little consensus. It particularly annoys me that some people just seem to make up a number for how long it'll take - "six laser sessions," "[however many hours] of electrolysis." I've seen ranges for facial hair removal in the range of 40 to 300 hours. No one seems to know anything for sure. To her credit, my provider didn't make up a number and just said "it's done when it's done, no way to tell," which seems the most honest.
I'm tired. I can keep paying for electrolysis indefinitely and I have seen some real improvement but I'm still discouraged and wish the state of knowledge on this stuff was better, so I wouldn't have wasted so much time and money on laser before.

The title says it all.
From roughly 25k down to 0. It has been a long 18 months but man does it feel good. I didn’t have many people to share with and I wanted to share to let others know it can be done! I had to make some sacrifices and as much as I didn’t want to I’m glad I did. I feel that now I can pursue what I want without the weight of having to make a monthly credit card payment bearing down on me. I remember making $500 payments, only to be charged $350-$400 of interest and the balance would never change, 3 months of payments and the balance goes down $300 when I’ve paid $1500. That made me feel like I was stuck. I will never let myself get to that point again. i still use my cards but I’m very strict with it and I always pay it off in full. And I have an allotted amount I allow myself to spend.

24 year old, wife 1 child. Relocating for job, new homeowner, $325,000 home mortgage + utilities around 2500-2700. Plan on refinancing with VA loan once out of military, non super well versed on the refinancing process. Would I be better off waiting for interest rate drop, my parents are fine with me taking over on the mortgage now that I am free from rent on my previous residence.
I will be in the service for at least the next 3 months, current income is around $4200 a month below is expected given job offer and likely VA percentage, could move down or up but likely to be around this.

Is 14-16 k in credit card debt a terrible place to be considering I will be having a huge income increase in the near future? I feel like it is not and I will be able to be relatively comfortable once I start my new career. Just have to get through the next 4 months being as frugal as possible I suppose.

They go on YouTube, say that the hedgies took our money, then proceed to beg for money at every opportunity. Saying that they are doing it for “free” is untrue, like they are doing us a favour. I’ve seen thousands being given in tips and also thousands more for the discord membership.
There is one guy, Jackie le tits (the guy who shouts for no particular reason), on YouTube that I’m mostly speaking about. Dont buy into the act. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. He just wants your money and constantly asks for it.
He has a strange cult thing going on in his discord, where he starts arguments with just about anyone that doesn’t do what he wants. It feels like a really bizarre dictatorship and I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone who is so narcissistic. He seems extremely unhinged, manipulative and just asks for money every single chance he can get. What breaks my heart, is that there are clearly a lot of people with serious mental health issues and they are being used, for his own financial gain. It seems he has fake accounts that he uses to bolster his reputation in the chat and make donations, so other people follow suit (cult 101).
He was a carpenter until a year ago, started trading and now calls himself a trading God and seems to take credit for being one of the main reasons the momentum of GME has kicked off. Which is just absolutely insane. He keeps repeating the same trading analysis tactics, which literally every other person is doing. You’ll be far better off find information from people that have a lot more experience than just a year trading. He’s very inexperienced and it’s very dangerous to believe what this guy says. He’s not doing anything for “free” like he keeps saying. People make content so they get subscribers and can monetise things in the future. He is also getting insane amounts in tips.
I can’t stand this good guy, helping the people facade. It’s so fake. The way he talks to people in the discord is absolutely disgusting, especially after they paid money to be there. He’s just a bully.
So please people, don’t get duped into this silliness. You’ll end up losing money and just join an extremely toxic environment.

I often hear people getting international flight, sometimes even business class, somewhat regularly, for FREE. I spend a decent amount of money on my credit cards in NYC, and I am NEVER flirting with getting anything like a free international business class flight, let alone with some regularity. Am I doing something wrong? Am I not using my points in the right way? Should I be signing up for credit cards with handsome registration miles/points/rewards (and then canceling them later) more often than I do now (never) ?? Anyone know which nz provider gives good internet? We have been with 2degrees for 4 years (after they bought out myrepublic) but the internet seems to be pretty slow and wonky. We could probably do with a new router but thinking of switching as seems to be a few good deals atm.
Main options we are considering: Mercury - already get out power from them and offering a free appliance to switch. We need a new dishwasher so seems like a good deal. But internet cost for same speeds as we have now is an extra 10 per month or 15 if we upgrade to thw better router.
Contact - 400 credit if we sign up and move power over. Would have to buy a new router for 100
Slingshot - offering same speed for 75 a month (20 less than we pay now)
Anyone currently use anymore the above and have feedback? We don't mind paying more than we are currently but want internet that's reliable and fast. Power not too fussed.

I know the website only accepts 15 credits max from public high school, but i already have 19 from my previous public high school.
How much did yall transferred from public high school and how much was the total cost to get the penn foster diploma??
I want to get my diploma asap which i think i will be able to with penn foster but the cost is what im concerned about. Not sure if its worth spending over 1k just to obtain 6 more credits when i have already completed 19.. cuz they only accepts 15 max.
I do have local classes to help with ged exam for FREE but its not until fall of this year to even start. Basically i will be wasting several months when I could’ve started my program with penn foster and already got my diploma.
The reasons why im not just taking the ged exam either is that its been several years since i have gotten out of school.
What would you do? I know once i start my college and get my bachelors degree, the employer wont even ask about my high school diploma or grades. 🤔

18 months of hell.
In November 2022 I got accused of a very serious crime and investivated by police. My girlfriend at the time lost her job. I had to move home because rent was getting ridiculous for the area and quality.
Christmas 2022, grandfather dies of a Stoke. At rhe same time, grandmother on other side of family nearly dies of the same thing.
Ny father can't speak at his dad's funeral, I step up, trying to support the family and keep things ordered. I do it. But I see my dad cry fir the first time in my life...
I took out a £15k loan. Which helped with credit card debt (due to my gf at the time not really working or paying for anything), then after I moved, new housemate was a fucking slob who used my good nature to treat the place like a shit tip. Leaving chocolate out for my dog to eat and everything.
Police issue is resolved, no evidence after I get a solicitor and an interview. Still to this day, I flinch when I hear sirens...
Birthday... gf St the time, while sleeping upstairs and I sleep on the sofa cause be and my friend are chatting unti lwe fall asleep ad a heavy day drinking... ex comes down.. stands over me. And hits me so hard I scream. House wakes up. Mate sees this happen. And then housemate comes down, and asks why she got in his bed... she is currently pinning me down, crying and screaming.. I tell everyone to go to bed and deal with it the next day.
Tell gf at the time that she has fucked up... She doesn't know why she did it... says she was sleep walking.. touch starved...
Had to physically remove housemate after 1) his room smelled so bad, that I had to get landlords involved and a professional carpet clean on his room and 2) he pissed on my fucking landing carpet.
Months of me paying nearly as much rent as I earn in wage, due to gf at the time barely paying me... get a housemate in who wants the place to be good to live in.. Ex decides to threaten suicide when it's just me and her, after multiple times she has grabbed and tried to hold me down knowing I am in pain from her hitting me... She locks herself in the bathroom (razors and isopropyl alcohol inside, and apparently as I find out later, our dog). I call 111, she is screaming, I'm taking on the phone to try to get control... I struggle...
Eventually she opens the door, screaming at me... 111 operator can't do anything more... I thank him and hang up.. ex gf screaming at me immediately.. im the worst person, im stupid... can't believe i believed her she might commit suicide. How stupid am I.. all of it.. I broke.. broke up with her. Hated life, hated myself. Still do.
This was November 2023.. she finally left in May 2024. Every day since I havent been able to say a word in my house. I have been belittled, broken, criticised, for the tiniest things... while I can't say a word against anyone... she left dishes to go mouldy, I cant ask her to clean after herself.... and that's the minor things..
I am alone... when she left, she took the dog.. she was ours. She slept with me every night... ans now she is gone.. to a girl who never took her for a walk unless she was the ONLY one to.. and even then.. First walk at 2:30... maybe 5pm...
I dont know anymore. I'm sick of everything.. ex even got to move out of London and keep her job.. Best I could argue was the possibility of a transfer... but I'd lose my London weighting... and fuck over my housemate...
I don't even know what I need.. I've had counselling, the Counsellor didn't turn up to half the sessions... And can't get free ones... I canr get help for domestic violence victims as its not an ongoing issue and I'm a male in my 30s. So im not priority (I get it, but im allowed to say it hurts not getting support).
I just want to be allowed to live a normal life.. I dont want this... I just want to scream.
