OK so... this is baffling me.
I have an XBox One X hard wired into the router. HDMI straight into the amp/receiver (supports True HD/DTS HD), then on to TV.
Plex Server (2018 Mac Mini) is upstairs, and has to be on WiFi for now.
I've been ripping my Blu-Rays for the last week or two and am about halfway through. I've been converting them all to have an AC3 compatibility track as there was always a delay or silence when playing DTS HD or True HD, but after some suggestions I read on here I tried some things and got it working. Sort of. For some films.
All these are about the same file size, 20-30GB each.
Back to the Future (DTS HD or DTS) doesn't even recognise as such, simply plays DD5.1.
The Abyss (downloaded - DTS HD) plays fine.
The Batman (True HD) plays fine.
Blade Runner 2049 (DTS HD) horrible video glitches all over the screen constantly unless I force it to play lower bitrate version. (runs fine on server computer)
Does anyone have any clues as to why some of these would work fine, and others wouldn't?

So I was flying most of Sunday from Zurich to Helsinki and I re-upped my YouTube Premium sub for a month just to download this to my phone and partake on two flights that inexplicably had no WiFi.
There was something really fascinating about this video, Jenny hasn't talked a lot about Disney on her main channel in awhile but I always liked her Disney content because she had an insider's take. What surprised me during this video was like... how much I was seeing shades of Evermore Park in where the corners were cut on the Starcruiser. But it's *Disney* cutting the costs, why even do that?
And then I found myself thinking a lot about the current state of Star Wars as a Disney "product." Because that's what anything they buy out is - a product. And the reason so many of the shows and the sequel films end up being bad is that the purpose of making a Star Wars film or show has completely changed. Its not that Star Wars hasn't been a *brand* in the past, but it was at least something made because *the people making it liked Star Wars.* Nobody thought the prequels were bad because Lucas was doing them just for the money or the toy sales. It wasn't run into the ground to force the brand awareness to stay high enough to continue to generate interest in luxury vacations.
But like... think about why Rise of Skywalker was so awful and look at when Batuu opened. They started plans to build that expansion to their theme park in 2013, before Force Awakens was even released. Yea, those films weren't made because someone really wanted to make a new Star Wars, and that's why they just farmed three movies out to three directors and told them to have fun since the movies just needed to sell Disney theme park tickets. They expected certain characters like Kylo Ren to be a big deal and got caught off guard by things like the popularity of Rey. You notice how the sequel trilogy's first film spends a lot of time on Finn and by the last film he's barely in it? And then think about how Rise of Skywalker felt like a corporation attempting to appease the angry YouTubers who were mad about "Woke Star Wars" to the point they kicked an actress to the side and seemingly sided with racist harassment against her. Or how they suddenly slammed in the revival of a very dead and unmentioned franchise villain to try to appease fan boys. Or even how they seemed aware of a popular fan ship of two men and then suddenly we never saw them together again? Because oh man, we can't have Star Wars getting banned in the Middle East for the gay or they won't see the movie and won't want to come visit Star Wars Land!
Jenny's anger at the end is pretty well justified. This one hotel is the end state of one corporation attempting to take something people had a strong emotional attachment to and transfer that attachment to their version of it, a version that costs way more money but cuts all the corners they can.

• The campaign will be ran at the apex of my skills tailored around the characters and the player actions. This setting uses variants that will accelerate your character to mythical levels as well. Including many crafting options and close to 600 feat options you wont find anywhere else. Leading to great character customization that you will not find in other games.
• Transparent and Reliable DM who understands everyone is part of the group, and that a person is sitting behind their PC.
• As a wargamer expect the most effective tactics the encounters presented in the module can bring, while staying true to what an RPG is and its narrative.
• Smaller party size, having at maximum 5 players, helps to keep the party alive, while still allowing the freedom to work character plots in for a more personal experience.
• While I am a fan of good tactics in combat, I am a bigger fan about letting the game go in unexpected directions! No rails here.

I personally love Tarantino, Mobster films, StarWars (old ones), and movies such as Donny Darko, and other random cult films. I have great knowledge of most rule books, and have some minor home brewed changes I use myself in my campaigns that I feel add depth/challenge. I am also well versed in other RPG systems which I run at times for my players. Players will receive links to all variants and guidelines once they join.
Why the value?
While this is first a hobby for me, it has now become my life pursuit. You will get what you pay for! At 8 years of running games on roll20 and Foundry, I feel I have learned plenty to run as best and efficient as possible, while providing the right excitement and tension a session needs! This also includes adjusting the challenges and the story for the party, expect your character, not just the party, to be challenged in ways unique to the player.
The application process for everyone tends to be a headache. I find that the fee has helped me keep things running smooth since I can quickly tell who can commit/invest to the campaign and their level of dedication, and who they are. While it does take a few weeks to set up the right group, I can if possible group up like minded players for the journey. You can expect the campaign to run until the end with a competent, mature group. I'm always available on discord if possible to answer any questions or just to chat. The discord server you will join is currently full of helpful players, that provide a good community of passionate players, and who knows maybe they might be part of your next adventure. And ultimately your patronage allows me the freedom to purchase art packages, battlemaps, handouts, better audio, the many monthly subscriptions I commit to TRPGs, etc. all which help add to the immersion and excitement, but also allow me to give back to not just the group, but to our the community.

I’m looking for a download for Efexio for Mac and iOS. It’s an application by Phil Tippet Studios that uses pre rendered CGI for homemade film. I tried to go to the official website and it no longer is active and started to look malicious if you go to Efexio.com, I tried the iOS version and it wasn’t available anymore. I’m looking for a DMG and IPA file for those Apple devices if they still even work as it disappeared out of mystery.

16:10 screen ratio is taking over laptop rn but in the desktop, tv, and everything else with a screen then 16:9 is the golden standard. Everyone and their mothers film in 16:9, games and everything else is made for 16:9. I hate black bars, especially unnecessary black bars.
1080p is perfectly fine for desktop gamers (for screen under 24 inch), I can download and store a lot more contents compare to 1440p or 1600p, it also doesn't need a lot of VRAM and has better battery life.

One new MonkeyBoo video, five Monkey Happy videos, and two Monkey Meela videos. Phew, he must be sooo exhausted with all that effort LMFAO. A brief video compilation of these recent videos: Recent Monkey Boo Land videos, an insult to capuchin monkeys everywhere (If video is not showing, here is an additional link to download/view the video: https://gemoo.com/tools/upload-video/share/651357386685173760?codeId=vzR6W1zWnEnma&card=651357383992430592 ) Clip 1: The new Monkey Boo video continues to validate many of us who think Boo is not healthy whatsoever physically and especially mentally/emotionally. It's an interesting choice for Pete to film himself giving Boo a huge moth (in his cage of course). Perhaps he was trying to divert attention away from how absolutely dreadful and grotesque Boo looked and acted. I could care less seeing Pete feed Boo a huge moth or any other insect, because any capuchin monkey fan would know that capuchin monkeys eat a wide variety of foods in the wild. What is sickening is that Pete continues to deny anything is wrong with Boo and refuses to seek proper help for him. This video clearly shows Boo looking and acting very abnormal, frightening at times with that high strung twitchy behavior and high pitched squeals. It is no wonder Pete no longer films Boo outside of his cage (unless Boo is either sedated or secured to the table). Clip 2: Compare this 7 year old video clip of Monkey Boo eating snacks. Only someone truly ignorant and devious like Pete would claim there is no difference and that Monkey Boo is very 'healthy' and very 'happy' these days. Doesn't even look like the same monkey in both videos, which makes the rumor that Boo died and was replaced more plausible (even if it is not true). Clip 3: Monkey Happy eating watermelon. Notice how large Happy's belly is getting, another example highlighting Pete's history of overfeeding his monkeys. Clip 4. Monkey Happy eating chicken wings. Notice again how large Happy's belly is getting, another example highlighting Pete's history of overfeeding his monkeys (capuchin monkeys should only be fed a teaspoon portion of meat occasionally; that ain't no teaspoon portion Pete). Monkey Happy 'enrichment' time. Happy looked as bored as Pete as they 'played' with toys on the couch before moving to the playroom. Happy also looked bored and was so low energy in the playroom and had to be coaxed multiple times by Pete just to move. A far cry from older Happy playroom videos. Bonus image of Monkey Happy with the classic monkey "fear grimace" (the complete opposite of human smiles): Clip 7. Monkey Happy taking a bath. Again, how utterly unoriginal. Bonus clip 8: Happy birthday chunky monkey Meela! An absolute unit of a capuchin monkey with an insatiable appetite for food, enabled by an ignorant owner. The things that are really striking about all these recent videos is how low effort, half assed, and demeaning they are to these capuchin monkeys. Every video is filmed indoors, and all Pete does is show his monkeys being fed food or taking a bath (or sit with him on a couch for his boring live feeds). Talk about lack of proper enrichment. Capuchin monkeys in the wild can roam up to 2 miles per day, and are constantly stimulated in beneficial ways mentally, physically, and emotionally by being with their troop. Capuchin monkeys in the wild don't wear diapers, are not fed inappropriate foods and in excessive portions, not forced to do meaningless activities for YouTube, and don't sit inside cages or be stuck indoors getting fat, lazy, and mentally disturbed. This is why a 20 or 30 year old capuchin monkey in the wild or living in proper monkey sanctuaries look and act far, FAR healthier than any of Pete's monkeys. It's too bad his stubborn nature and overinflated ego cannot accept his failures as a capuchin monkey owner, thus, he would rather lie, cover up, and gaslight than ever admit any wrongdoing. |
