Posting as a bit of a summary of my experience so far as a partially disabled developer looking for a bit more comfort in his work.
Context:
I'm new into the space of ergo split keyboards. I've been looking as I've developed some low level Tennis elbow and want see if there's anything I can do to improve it.
That said, I have Erb's Palsy (Limited mobility in my arm due to nerve damage at birth). This basically makes floating my hands while typing an impossibility I always use a palm rest.. I also have quite large hands.
So far, I've tried the Corne V4 Cherry, and a Chocofi. I've learned:

Context:

- Re-learning how to type sucks. I'm a six finger typer, so re-incorporating pinkies has been a labourious exercise.
- I think I became a six finger typer, because keeping my hands in the home row at the 'correct' position put my wrists at an awful angle.
- That the stock corne layout stagger feels off for me, and was significantly improved going to the chocofi.
- That the stagger, and low profile of the Chocofi feel excellent, but my fingers are simply too big for the choc spacing.
- The lack of number row i find very difficult. Considering that number reach hasn't been a problem, I'm considering adding it back into my next build.
- I really like the feel of flat low profile keyboards, but the spacing is awful for me. I'm going to buy (or build) a low profile 46 key that has more ergonomic spacing. Are there any wireless, low profile, 36 key variations out there with stagger (similar to a chocofi), but with wider spaced columns (Cherry, or wider)? Worst case, Ergogen + Kicad to the rescue.
- I'm considering also trying the opposite direction, and building a dactyl-like keyboard with Cosmos (Thanks @ryanan) so that I can experiment with stagger and column widths, but then edit the final layout in Solidworks to add something I can rest my palms against comfortably. I was really inspired by the look of Cygnus)

 | So about 6 days ago a friend of mine noticed a pretty sizable sinkhole had opened just behind his property on city-owned land. He called the city to report and was a bit surprised to find that they weren't very concerned about it. I just went over today and the hole has widened,water has drained, it and has now been breached by the small town brook that sits about 50 feet to the south of the sinkhole. It's actively taking water from the brook and while it doesn't sound incredibly deep yet, there is an echo. I'd estimate there's 80 to 100 gallons being siphoned off the brook per minute from the sound of it. There's exposed water service line and gravel bed, but it appears to be intact and has not leaked yet. My friend and a neighbor both heard several instances of ice quakes in the area in the colder parts of this winter This Brook is actually quite strange geologically speaking, our town sits atop and largely inside two glacial meltwater ridges, and I believe the brook was formed first as a glacial meltwater stream, and it possibly represents a contact site between two glacial plates. It's highly anomalous on the lidar to my eyes at least. It runs from west headwaters to the east for several miles until it meets up with the northern pictured creek that runs back west to the Illinois River. I'm including images of the sinkhole, and glacial history of the area. I'm an amateur at best, could this be karst area or a cave that opened up? And is there someone we should contact? Because the city doesn't seem to want to admit it exists... Now the marketing on Amazon is a black hole and it's not getting me much. So far my sales (all 9 of them) have been to people that know me. Also tried to make use of the "Use Controller Rotation Pitch Yaw Roll". Turns out human connection is a powerful thing. It took a suicide attempt and a quick stop at a mental hospital to finally meet another neurodivergent, kinky bastard such as myself to finally come to my senses and start learning how to love myself.
The journey of self-love and the act of embracing who I am, the good the bad and the ugly is what gave me the permission to explore my sexuality and discover this lovely (with it's flaws) community where I can further develop myself as a human being and be grateful for who I am becoming.
I want to say thank you to every kinkster reading this right now, for making me feel more at home and less alone on this big blue ball we call planet Earth.
