Hello (: I’ve only been around for a little while, and have yet to find an arrangement that works for me yet— and part of that has to do with a small..issue, lol. At least for me. My skin color.
To be Frank, I am black, and I don’t discriminate against race or things we generally didn’t ask for at birth! And I wasn’t a fool to think that others wouldn’t give me the same gratitude, especially in a supremely selective space like this.
One time I was messaged on Reddit by a seemingly nice guy! No red flags and we actually got along pretty well. We hadn’t exchanged pictures or anything yet, just talking and feeling each other out. He said something along the lines of “I usually am able to picture the person I speak to but with you I can’t get a good visual.” Something like that.
I suggested trading pictures and he wanted me to give a general description first. Basically, once he found out I was black he blocked me (no picture needed lol).
Of course— physical attraction is a must, and I’m not silly enough to say preferences aren’t important in this space. Just sharing my hurt little feelings 😔 Mainly when you feel that you have so much to offer but trivial things get in our way. I guess it’s better than being the interest of someone who says stuff like “you’re my first black girl 😍” or something fetish-like. Haha!
(As a small disclaimer this post in no way represents every SD I’ve interacted with! I have met some kind gentleman, just talking about something I deal with majority of the time though)

I bought an external mic for this Boss BE7ACP-SD head unit to go completely hands free for phone calls, but I can't get out to work properly.
If I have my phone plugged in, or connects with Android Auto and my PHONE gets the input from the mic. Any apps on my phone pick up me voice beautifully. The problem is, during a phone call, the phone wants to automatically use the Bluetooth. I can hear whoever called me unrighteously the car speakers, but the external mic does not come through Bluetooth. If I turn off Bluetooth, the other person can hear me through the external mic, but I can only hear them through the phone speaker. And if I switch it to speakerphone, my phone skips the car speakers and the external mic and just uses the standard speakerphone mic/speakers.
Is this a common problem? Is there a way to fix it?
I'm at a loss.

We have a new hire (about two months now) in our department D28 that I do not vibe with. This is also a rant-ish post so I don't give much sht for the grammar use. I apologize.
To start, I have a pretty nice relationship with most of our department even though I am a new hire myself. But two months ago, we got a new hire with a bossy attitude for someone so young. I don't mind bossy people, sometimes I am one myself if I am stressed, but I apologize when I know I sound like one since I am not a boss... but this one has a vibe that is not vibin'.
They mostly work as associate and recovery (for the last hour of the store) but their recovery is not recovering unless our DH is working closing.
Memorial Day had been a triggering day in this cold war. I was at the mulch pit area helping a customer load mulch and soil up, and I have a clear view of the garden center gate where they stand. I cannot get an extension, but I guess they got a call/intercom for wheat straw. Again, I can see where they are STANDING, and has been for the past 5-ish minutes while I'm loading up the customer. A few seconds pass, and I got a walkie call asking me if I can get a wheat straw for a customer because "We are helping a customer load something up." By "we," I believe they mean another associate who went to the pit to get some soil for a customer, the associate I am now helping since I just finished loading the last car, who heard the walkie and said, "I'll get the straw, can you load this for her (the customer in the car now behind me — and no, the associate I have beef with is nowhere to be seen)?" to which I gladly said, "yes" and ignored the walkie call. I said I believe since there was no other car (except in lumber area) that ever pulled up apart from the one who needed soil.
Do they assume I don't work unless I can get a call from SD or Cashiers or managers? (Read: Do they assume I am like them?)
Not the first time this happened. A month ago, I was helping a customer with another D28 associate, and I needed to spot them. Obviously, a work that needs two people. Like this time, they walkied me to ask if I can help a customer with a locked item because they were busy (I later learned from SD that there were three of them waiting for a customer to pull up and just chatting around when the call came, and SD cashier just happened to walk past them on the way to curbside). Anywoooo, since this time they were one month new, I was about to say "yes but give us 5 minutes" when my reach driver said "give me the phone" and answered the walkie with "we're currently busy helping customers in this area now, we cannot go there" and press leave call.
Not also the second time. About a week ago, they walkied me to tell me that a customer needs help. I know they are not walkie-ing the whole department since they call me by name. Another D28 associate (different from the past two cases) and a key-holder (who we called to open a gate) were with me and heard the call, and they both looked like "was that seriously a call?" with the associate going "DID [THEY] JUST TELL YOU TO FUCKING GO BACK INSIDE WHEN YOU'RE HELPING A CUSTOMER OUT HERE?" Anyway, I ignored that walkie, too. They can complain to someone I am ignoring their calls, but I don't care. I am doing my job and working and everyone (including them) knows it.
SD and other associates are not the only ones saying this to me, too. Garden cashiers would complain about how some people (they're also not naming names but the clues about their attire for that day was a given) would just walk around in their personal phone and they could see them and hear their phone ringing, and they just keep walking and ignoring the call. Told me they shouldn't get an extension if they won't bother using it.
The way they would say it, too, is as I've said at the beginning... very bossy.
I'm very petty, so when others in my department or the whole store would walkie me or call me to ask if I can help, I would happily answer with yes and to give me some minutes as I am with a customer, etc, etc. But when it's them... I straight up ignore it. I love garden department, and our managers and DHs are chill, and I don't mind if they ask me to do things for the day. It's chaotic, it's so large, but that means no boring day.
Oh, and I haven't expounded on their work like going to 15-minute break three to four times a day excluding their lunch. Hiding in the aisle when the store is busy. Not packing down. Walking down aisles that definitely needs front-facing and just looking around.
And this pisses me off: getting at least 32 hours per week being like this. IN SPRING. IN D28. I don't know, but I do hope they are temporary.

At first I didn't expect much, just thought that it would be a regular shonen with tropes, cliches and stuff. And yet surprisingly I read all the 34 chapters in couple of hours, I was hooked.
The characters didn't stand out at first but I quickly got attached to them (btw Chihiro is the best new-gen protagonist). The style of drawing is nice, but It shines like no other when it comes to fighting, man, that right there are PEAK battle panels. The choreography is easy to follow unlike some other battle mangas (I'm looking at you JJK) and the dynamics of fights with those unique angles just so damn cool. A particular moment when there was a blackout and Chihiro did THAT thing MAAAN SO GODDAMN HYPE.
I'm not saying there are no downsides for the manga, there are. However, it easily outshines its colleagues. It has Sakamoto Days level of fights, but more grounded, which I like better (personally, SD fights are too absurd and not in an entertaining way). The protagonist motives are easy to follow, and he doesn't annoy me (wow, how little I need to like a protagonist, take notes mangakas), just like Twilight from SPY X FAMILY I also like him.
It may be a hot take, but I think it's even better than JJK. There are many problems I have with JJK, like power-system that allows CERTAIN SOMEONE do so many ass-pulls it just pains me. Or choreography that is not easy to follow (sometimes I don't understand what's going on AT ALL). Character-wise I'd say JJK is better, but Kagurabachi only has 34 chapters and I hope it to become even greater with time.
I hope an anime adaptation will do it justice, because it deserves it.

Hi! I wanna know what the best way to go about meeting a SD is? I have an account on seeking but are there any other god websites? I made my profile on Friday and I have talked to a lot of men but nothing ever moves forward either due to disinterest on my part or what feels like disinterest on theirs.. 😔 I’m 25 and I think I’m pretty and have a good personality but this is so draining constantly on the search for an SD.. a lot of them just offer me to come over for sex which I feel is not what it’s about. Ofc I know intimacy is apart of it but I would like to build up to that and establish a connection first before jumping straight into the sheets. If any SB’s/SD’s can give me any advice it would be much appreciated! How did you meet your SD or SB?

We've seen it a thousand times, people posting about how the mystery card they got was a card they already owned, or maybe another card in the spotlight caches that week, and how frustrating it is to get that instead of a new card. Folks will angrily shout, "There should be duplicate protection," without usually elaborating on what that means. Opponents say duplicate protection could destroy the economy of the game, but let's stop arguing for a second and crunch the numbers. Would duplicate protection be a big problem?
How it works today
Right now there is no duplicate protection, so that card is more than likely going to be 1,000 tokens. The way the economy of the game works right now is that every year Second Dinner puts out 64 cards (12 season passes +1 per week). Meanwhile free to play players are gaining Spotlight Keys at a rate of about 1.1 a week by doing our daily, weekly, and monthly missions*, with paying players making a few more. That means we are getting about 58 keys a year to get the 64 cards. Additionally, Series 3 complete players get some tokens per key, I can't find an exact number for Collector's Reserves, but let's say it's between 100 and 200, + 1/4th of those keys get us 1,000 tokens (we are ignoring when the mystery card actually gives you a card), so that's about 24,000 tokens a year, so 4 Series 5 cards.
Value of keys varies from collection to collection, but if a player only used keys when there were 3 unowned cards in a spotlight, and quit before opening the mystery pack, they would on average gain 50.8 cards a year. If a player only used keys when there were 2 unowned cards in a spotlight they would gain 43.6 new cards a year. And if a player only used keys when there was 1 unowned card in the spotlights (generally inadvised) they would gain 23.2 new cards a year. Obviously, most players sit somewhere in the middle.
So the end result is that SD puts out 64 cards a year, and the people who have the least S5 cards (ie new players) can expect to gain 51 S4/5 cards a year, whereas the players who are the most collection complete will likely see less than half of that at 23 new cards a year, expanding the deficit between cards that exist and cards that you own for all players, not just old ones.
Paying players are able to gain more credits a week. A hypothetical whale may gain as many as 2 keys a week for some ungodly amount of money. Such a person could gain 91, 78, or 65 cards in the above system, gaining them more cards than are released for as long as that is sustainable.
Perfect Duplicate Protection
In this system the mystery card ALWAYS gets you a card you don't own. If the 4th card always paid out something you don't have, then there are suddenly ZERO weeks with only 1 card, and many weeks with 4. If this were the case all the numbers would move up by one. So folks who have no cards are going to be gaining 58.1 cards a year, and folks with the largest collections are going to be gaining 43.6 cards a year, all while SD is putting out 64 cards, a 30% increase in card gain from the current system. The purchase of the season pass will, of course, gain more cards for folks, but will also reduce the number of 4-drop and 3-drop opportunities, requiring player to commit keys to less efficient weeks, or sit on them to little value.
In this system the gap between cards coming out and players gaining cards is still there, but smaller, lending to more players having more cards, but still making it impossible that a F2P player would be collection complete.
The issue with this system is that it suddenly becomes easy for whales to become collection complete. The average player gains 1.1 keys a week, but by buying more and more credits, a whale who had 2 keys a week is suddenly able to gain 104, 91, 78 cards in the above system, which is about 17% more cards than in the current system.
Conclusion
The end result here is that in the current system folks are gaining less cards than are coming into being unless they are buying double the credits the game gives out for free, making becoming collection complete incredibly unlikely. If they instituted perfect duplicate protection, that would make it so that players would STILL earn less cards than come out unless they were, again, huge whales, maintaining the philosophy that becoming collection complete should be, at the least, difficult, if not impossible. Instituting duplicate protection would move the needle in favor of players gaining cards, but the idea that it would break the economy seems to be, mathematically speaking, untrue.
This is for the most EXTREME style of duplicate protection, as well, this is not even considering other duplicate protection suggestions, such as giving players a variant of the random card they pull, or only offering variant protection for the other cards in the current spotlight. By all metrics, duplicate protection seems to be fine and would be popular with the players. It should probably exist.

\3150 for weekly missions, +350 Shop Award, +1350 weekly missions, +750 in season pass awards = 5600 which gains you 112 CL, which gets you about another 900 credits, which can be converted to CL to gain about 150 credits which can be turned in a few more times for about another 50. Total of 6700 credits or 134 CL. You get a spotlight key every 120 CL, so this gets you 1.117 spotlight keys a week.*

Okay, this will be a very looong Rant story between a Psycho (Fake) POT and me, the naive MC. I hope this will help prevent many other heartbreaks, wasted time as well help in reading Red Flags (and helping me vent a little bit). Get ready!
THE BEGINNING!
Okay, I was scouting through this website (I don't want to mention which one) when I met this guy's profile three months ago. He sent me Gifts and gave off 'I love everything' vibes (Red Flag!), and he was there basically every day. We chatted a bit and I had a good impression of him, so I asked him to be my POT SD (he could be the first one!).
He agreed, and said it was something real, and that he was 'very' serious, and that we will meet. So, after a week or so of contact, we scheduled a videochat on Telegram (he created the account for me). He missed it (Red Flag!). But then I remembered he's from the USA, so I gave him another chance.
And so, we started chatting and chatting, and I asked him if we could meet. He answered: 'I will be in France from 1st June to 15th' (I'm in Italy). Oh hell, I didn't want to wait so long! Normally I would have allowed 1 month of time, but I liked him a lot so I forgave him.
ABOUT HIM
At that time I didn't know how sugaring really worked, so I just followed the flow. We chatted, he asked for pics, he did send me some money, we even exchanged personal info... I even did a background check on him, there was nothing that wrong with his Data much...
The pic was his, the name was his, everything sounded like him... I did notice some brain issues he had... but let them pass. He talked about his travels, a little about family, when we meet we're gonna do this and do that, I would love taking care of you, he was there in chat when I was sick, could you learn French for me...
He is a Restaurant Owner, pretty successful, married, also manages rent, and all... However, I did notice he was multed for speeding the car many times (Red Flag!), he had worked on many restaurant businesses and left them as soon as they failed (Red Flag!), he had married three times... the last wife asked for divorce (Red Flag!)... I HAD THE INTUITION SOMETHING WAS WRONG! But I kept going, because he was indeed sharing real info about him!
THE TRAP!
Among his 'I love this, your face, your pics, your text... and so and so forth...', I did notice some... Uhm, general disinterest... At the beginning, I told him it wasn't only about s*x... After hearing this, I think he geared the chat towards normal topics, family etc. And then, other topics slowly faded away, and he was mostly talking about that thing.
Always at the beginning, he would answer me almost right away, but then slowly became busier and busier. His convo were low effort, 'Hey ! How are you doing?', and he looked reluctant to talk about other things, like politics etc. And he never really shared how his day was unless asked. And most importantly... how he felt... As if he was a robot!
And he is a heartless robot indeed! Let's say that he was 'serious'... I will talk about this at the end... Anyway, I really felt there was a good connection between us... But I don't know why, suddenly it faded, and there were things, small things that bugged me. And my brain was telling me to be careful. I was always wary, anxious etc. that he would disappear... Sometimes his attitude was just... too strict... I don't know, like commanding... (Red Flag!)
THE ENDING!
Like, he asked me to apply for ESTA for him, which I did. He shared personal info about himself, house address, phone number, etc. And I don't know, I think, after this, things started to fade a little bit faster. He was clearly disinterested in talking about other things (Red Flag!), and then we scheduled a Call... In which he said, he might not be in France (Red Flag!) etc. and so on...
And then, asks me something I don't feel comfortable doing... He ignores me and then, two weeks ago, says 'I decided to end this relationship, it doesn't work for me. Wish you the best, cheers'. I thought it was me who didn't put too much effort or that I was making him unhappy... so I suffered a lot... Oh! The pain! And he said he didn't like giving and receiving pain!
Even though it was painful, I don't know why, I felt relieved. Like a heavy weight has been lifted. But I really didn't understand what went wrong, why such coldness, so I wanted to clear things up. He ignored me here and there... I believed it was my fault, I couldn't sleep nor eat...
I had the image of someone who was nice, liked to help people, was hurt a lot etc... In the end he wrote, 'Stop texting me ! I don't want you ! You're not for me ! I can't do anything to help you !' After two freaking months of chatting!!!
THE TRUTH!
And today, he just calls me, and says:
"You didn't do anything wrong! Stop harassing me! It's finished! Don't say sorry and then harass people! You're being rude! I don't even know you! I didn't even meet you! You asked me to be your Sugar Daddy! You thought I would be your Lover? I helped you being your daddy two/three times! It's finished! You know all my information! Don't share them! I never said we would meet! I never said it was real! We were just chatting! I helped you apply for ESTA so you can go to the USA! I never send money to anyone like that! I don't know what's in your head! Everything's in your head! Stop it! Bye!"
Something like that... So... he was just helping a little girl realize the 'fantasy' of having an 'SD'. He thought I knew about this, and was just playing along. He was 'nice', 'helpful' and all until he got tired (or better, I wasn't playing by his rules). He must be really psycho that he shared real info, 'sounded' very serious, used his morals to play with a young girl, love this and that, and then make it sound I was harassing him...
One month ago I joined this Forum, and I did notice our relationship didn't match what a real SR was, and after reading through the stories, I thought of dropping him. Oh, the regret! I SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE TO DROP HIM! WHAT A PSYCHO! And a psycho with morals... more or less... like, saying Hi... Goodbye etc... I was someone to chat with, in between his flights, his bathroom breaks, when he's bored, etc...
THE CONCLUSION!
I really wonder... How many people did he hurt? Why did he play so seriously to share personal info? And why treat people online differently from real people he met? Because looking at his dating history, it takes him lots of years before staying and then marrying with someone... So he considers real people extremely seriously, and the online people 'very' seriously... up to a certain point.
Gosh! I feel much better now! I learned my lesson! I hope this story helps you understand some red flags and prevents such psychos!
Those are some checks a real SD should have:

• He really knows the real basics and more, and is experienced about sugaring;
• He's able to carry different conversations and isn't only about intimacy;
• He respects your boundaries and doesn't ask for intimacy, wanting to make you feel comfortable;
• He will not miss a videochat, and is willing to meet you as early as possible and in your own terms;
• He really loves spoiling you, and doesn't act like he's doing charity;
• He's perfectly consistent with his words, doesn't lie about not saying something;
• He doesn't play with your emotions, and he makes you feel really unique...

Anything else?
Gosh! The waste of time with this psycho! I should have closed with him as soon as he missed the videochat! And I wanted to, but I went soft-hearted!
Luckily, I have a rational brain that works pretty well. It understood something was wrong and was planning an escape route (after months!). Really, forgive my naivety, I didn't know how things really worked. I really thought our relationship would be serious...
Anyway, I started to look for some real POTs seriously two weeks ago. I hope to find real SDs who really know how to treat me well!

Has any Team Lead (past or current) actually request more training from their ETL/SD?
I'm creeping up on the halfway point of my TL probationary period ( I am a leader of an area I never worked in as a TM) - but there's still some aspects I do not understand/ having trouble planning out/implementing. I am a "monkey see, monkey do" type person. I can't just read on workbench and then become an expert. (Kuddos to those type of people).
Would requesting extra training be a sign of weakness to them? I want to keep learning and growing- but nervous they might see it as a negative

I am currently stuck trying to choose the best possibile handheld console for my needs and would be grateful for your honest opinions, might be also based on your personal experience.
I have a PC, but some time ago decided not to upgrade my RTX 2080 and move to Xbox series X and PS5 instead. Probably I am just getting older od simply dont want to spend extra few hours at the desk, I already spent my day at the desk in the office and spending a few more hours feels like a second job, I'd rather avoid that. PC is currently only used by my gf, who sometimes plays SIMS4. I didnt use my PC since moving to consoles, everything else beside gaming (mailing, Facebook, editing MS Office etc)I can manage and do with my phone.
Have to add that I am a type od gamer who doesnt feel eager to play ALL new titles, I mostly replay older games that I enjoyed (pre 2020), and would love to have the possibility to play some of my favorite games while relaxing on my couch (some of them are PC exclusives so cannot be played on consoles). Games I mostly play/replay: Gothic 1-3, Kotor 1-2, SWTOR, Mass Effect, GTA games, Fallout 1-76, RDR1-2. Maybe a few more that were not named. Any other new game is played either on Xbox series X or PS5.
About handheld consoles to choose from, what I learned: 1) Steam Deck: best OLED screen but lacks 120 FPS and sound not as good as Rog Ally (probably gonna use my Bluetooth HiFi headphones for better experience instead of built in stereo speakers). 2) Asus Rog Ally: 1080p resolution (people say 800p on other consoles vs 1080p here IS a big difference in detail)., 120 FPS, best performance, 3) Lenovo Legion Go: big screen(colors not as good as SD or Rog Ally), best battery.
Every one of those 3 consoles seems to have its pros and cons. For some reason I think older games wouldn't cause overheat or FPS issues on any of these, but I might be wrong. For pre 2020 games considering all written above, what would you choose and why? Thank you.

SD is 24, works part time as a server and recently came to m husband that she is debt well over $10K. I’m all for helping loved ones in times of need, and I have made poor financial decisions as a young person myself. This will be the fifth time she’s asked for help. She is not a parent and she does not drink or do drugs. She lives with a couple roommates, and I believe she just doesn’t understand how to control her spending habits. At all.
She is a know-it-all and can be very argumentative when she doesn’t hear what she wants. She pouts if she doesn’t get her way. She also seems to have a bit of an entitlement to her and has made remarks about my child getting to do things she never got to do (we earn more now than her dad did while she was growing up), and my child is significantly younger than she is. This is to say that when you suggest things she could do to improve her situation (FT job, move home, etc), she has an answer of why our ideas won’t work. It’s frustrating.
I’m at my wits end over this. Instead of just handing over money, I suggested budgeting with her and checking up on what she’s spending on (if SO if insistent upon helping her). SO says he’s talked to her, she understands the situation, and he trusts she’ll use the money wisely. Oh, she also has a trip to Miami planned with her friends this summer that she is going on. I’m of the impression that if you’re in debt, working part time and can’t afford basic necessities, you don’t take a vacation.
I’m fed up and think it’s time to NACHO. It’s affecting my relationship. I can’t believe my SO is going to give her some money (not the entirety but a big chunk) to pay down her debt without any accountability, especially when we’ve been trying to be more frugal ourselves. SO is very level headed and smart, but this just seems so out of character. I feel like I’m either not getting the full story, or SO is just turning a blind eye to how careless SD is. Anyone been here in this situation before?

• Floors a Mauler Twin with a hit from her mace.
• Knocks a Mauler Twin off of his feet with a hit from her mace.
• Sends a Mauler Twin flying into the air with a hit from her mace.
• Draws blood from Omni Man with a hit from her mace.
• Draws more blood from Omni Man with a hit from her mace.
• Draws more blood from Omni Man with punches and the help of The Immortal.

Durability/Endurance

• Is slammed into the ground face first by Omni Man and recovers a little bit later.
• Is punched by Omni Man and recovers after a little bit.
• [Limit] Dies after Omni Man snaps her neck.

Red Rush

Josef, also known as Red Rush, was a Russian speedster and the Guardians of the Globe's first responder. He was an original member of the Guardians of the Globe and had worked with Omni-Man before they were betrayed and murdered by him.

• Briefly staggers Omni Man with a few punches.
• Bruises Omni Man with his punches and eventually causes him to cough up blood.

Durability/Endurance

• [Limit] Dies when Omni Man crushes his skull.

• Quickly saves two men.
• Quickly moves many people while having time to briefly talk two times.
• Punches the Mauler Twins many times.
• Quickly changes clothes then runs across town and contains Kursk in a split second before he could even realize what happens then makes it back to his wife so quickly she doesn't notice he is gone until she sees his costume, which he changes out of in a split second.
• Perceived things just as quickly as he moves and even the briefest conversation feels like hours for him.
• Reacts to Omni Man trying to attack the Immortal and reaches him before Omni Man can despite being on the other side of the room.
• Stops a punch from Omni Man before it can connect with War Woman.

Aquarus

I have a 256GB micro-sd card in my Switch now. If/when it gets full, can I just put another one in for any new games and essentially just swap out sd cards depending on which game I want to play? If not, can a person upgrade to a bigger SD card and take the info/data from the original card and put it on the new (bigger) SD card?

I have been with my husband for 2 almost 3 years now. In that time, bio-mom has only came twice to see my SD, she is 4. When BM left the picture, my MIL took over the role for my SD since she was about 2 months old. I understand that she is the mother figure and has raised her since. She calls my MIL "mommy", and she says that she belongs to her (MIL isn't the easiest person to deal with). I know it is not my spot to change that, I let her call me whatever makes her feel comfortable. We have had my SD with us more and more as she grows older. Once she starts school this July, she will be with us full-time. We work but try our best to have her with us as much as possible and include her in everything we do. I wanted to share that as background info.
Anyways, we had a party celebrating our gender reveal! It was awesome and SD did great. She was happy. She was playing with kids and my little cousin (she is 12) and completely unaware of my SD's situation (that BM abandoned her) shared with me that my SD was explaining to them that she does have a real mom and that she just isn't here with her, but that she's coming back for her soon. She also mentioned that my SD showed them a picture of her BM. I am not sure what to think. I know that my MIL tells my SD she does have a mom and shows her pictures and lets her have access to my SD whenever she'd like. But I just think that is confusing my SD and creating this false hope in her head and heart. I truly believe that is why she is so angry all the time and cries with so much feeling (and this will happen randomly, especially at public settings). It's like she feels those feelings because she is starting to realize the abandonment... Like why isn't my mom here with me? Why is she with my dad and not my real mom?
She also questions the baby a lot. Why am I the baby's mom? Where the baby came from? Why the baby has to call my husband dad? And when she is angry, she will do anything to hurt me. Like throwing stuff at me and kicking me. It's hard. It is such a hard situation.
I just wanted to ask for some guidance, is it my place to protect my SD from the false hope my MIL is creating, or is it not my place to touch the subject at all? Will it ever get better? Is it still good time to have her adapt to our household and leave the negativity my MIL has placed in her head?

and today I finally overcome the loss, so i want to share a few things thru out the journey and hope it helps someone who is experiencing the same

1. Underestimation of the max drawdown and risk tolerance, honestly I never thought it would happened to me but it just did.

so after that I hv run Monte Carlo simulation to see how your algo perform after shuffling the trades, and also trying to use trend filtering to filter out non trendy period.

1. DO NOT try to interfere with your ALGOs, you may hv a bit of outperformance but in the long run you gonna lose to consistency, indeed its just contradict to the reason why we want to do algo trading.

when it approaches my max drawdown I hv countless moments that I wanted to manually interfere it, closing early to secure profit or minimize loss, and I did tried that for a few days, turns out to be a sizable underperformance due to inconsistency. Even tho for some instances seeing derivatives product call back triggered and underlying is going to pump/dump for a bit due to MM to unwind their position- I used to find it hard to watch but now I just live with it, I simply reminding myself if I need to add / interfere anything I have to put it to algo and back test all over again.

1. Be discipline in life, I forgot where I read this, but being a trader needs a lot of discipline. I was just chilling after I launch my algo and have a taste of success, I spent money without care, and also a lot of time for leisure which drastically reduced my attention to algo development and money management. And shortly after that, I run down to my MDD. So it is only during the time I am being slapped by the market, I force myself sit down and

fun fact, I tried cold shower every day to make myself suffer a bit, and also I did a lot of chess puzzle to force brain to run a bit

1. Have a good support system - your fds, family, religious etc. This is quite personal but I do find out having a good support system around you is so important especially during your down time.

So what next for me?

1. extend my algo to other markets, right now I am looking at NQ future and also Japan Nikkei futures

Any good place for getting historical tick data in Japan? Turns out it is surprisingly few options out there and my broker IB, only support till last 2 years of futures contract, due to the rolling nature.

1. look for trend filtering to improve algo PNL, to skip the non-trendy days.

somehow I found luck on SD(ATR), look forward to hear some others from you guys.
Honestly algo trading had gone completely different than I thought when I start, I once thought it will just print me money, but turns out it's totally not the case, at least for me. So its now for me a constant learning and getting older / discipline in life to try to be a better trader / person.

Hey!
Let's cut to the chase. I've lived here since moving here as a kid in 2000. I'm an older UCSD student, graduating very soon. But I'm something of a shut-in and spend most of my social time online, so I'm not entirely aware of all SD has to offer. Call it being disillusioned with somewhere I've been for so long.
But I love food. And, knowing the food culture here, and knowing I'll be leaving the city in the next year or so to find a career, I want to try all the places that I've missed out on.

• Sushi Ota (have not done omakase but I want to)
• Rakiraki (RIP to the GOAT, the pig foot ramen)

• Showa Ramen (I can get real ramen on campus, this is a given)

• Happy Lemon
• Juanita's Taco Shop (love the carnitas burritos, my dad loves the machaca burritos)
• Filiberto's (my go-to for Cali burritos but I'm willing to take suggestions on this)
• Nico's (if I were a less moral person I might be willing to kill a man for their shrimp burrito)
