I recently started a project creating an up sized BattleTech mini. The base is a little over 8" across. My general goal for the base is pavement being broken by the feet of the mech, which I would normally accomplish black crackle paint, but I don't think that's going to cut it here.
So what are my options? Is there a better option for creating the texture at a larger scale than modeling clay and a lot of patience?
Also, if there's a better sub for questions about larger models I'm happy to be pointed elsewhere.

She needs validation constantly on how young and beautiful she looks, how rich and great she is, and how she is an excellent and caring mom. Yet a good mother wouldn't have had me and my siblings and grandparents living in a former drug house infested with millions of roaches, rats, black mold, and on again off again running water and electricity. A good mom also wouldn't have sat around having parties and drinking while I, at 15 years of age and two senior citizens, broke our backs trying to sell and rent party supplies and carrying an 800 lb bounce house to customers that wanted to rent them. I worked at 15 like a Victorian boy instead of going to school trying to make ends meet because my parents wouldn't. My "mother" has done everything evil you can think of, from scamming and stealing from innocent people, catfishing other men (while with my stepdad), pretending to be my sister online for validation and money, forcing my sister to be a model and hook up with much older men for the promise of advancement (she was 17 and these men where in there 30s or older), spies on my widowed sister-in-law, had me living in deplorable conditions and having me eat old food infested with roaches and rat droppings, conducting illegal gambling business and money laundering, kept the fact that (some of) my siblings are adopted from them, baby trapped my stepdad, had little to no concern for my mental health and did not help or try to accommodate my sensory issues (I suspect I may have level 1 autism, mostly with sensory issues) and much, much, much more. I have been going to therapy and am currently doing emdr to undo the damage that my evil "mother" has done. We were going to make my mother-in-law a priority, however, there was time for both. She got mad and said she would not be bringing my grandma to the house and I guess that was it. I said, well, I guess it is. On Mother's Day, I called my grandma, and she was upset and crying, asking why I hadn't seen her, and that she had come to visit the house. My mom took her to the house after lunch and didn't tell me. Neither did any of my other family. She said that she wanted to come back home and didn't want to live at the facility. She is fairly healthy and in reality, doesn't need to be at the facility. After talking to her, I confronted my mom and said that I explicitly told you that I wanted to see Grandma, and you said you were NOT bringing her to the house. You did bring her to the house and intentionally did not tell me. Because I did not bow down and follow your commands like everyone else, you deliberately orchestrated this, so I would not see her in an act of revenge to spite me. Gaming first and foremost, but I also plan on doing some streaming and video editing. I plan on playing some AAA titles (Cyberpunk, MS Flight Simulator 2020 etc.) but mostly indie titles. Essentially, I want to run modern AAA titles at 1440p at max settings at over 120fps and in 4k at decent framerates (above 60fps) as well.

I'd like to have a white aesthetic for the build, if only because my current potato PC is black. That said, I'd prefer a white case with tempered glass windows at the front and side with RGB fans similar to the Apevia PRISM.
The components themselves should also complement the white aesthetic, except for maybe the motherboard, GPU and PSU. Therefore, some white cable extensions might be in order.

From watching videos of other white aesthetic builds, I've really fallen in love with the NZXT Kraken Elite RGB AIO cooler as it has a LCD screen to monitor temps and display whatever you want,. However, if that blows the budget up too much I'll gladly go with a regular RGB air cooler if that would be sufficient and there are probably other ways of monitoring temps. I hope that preapplied thermal paste is standard for CPU coolers as I don't want to have to worry about that right away.
Lastly, I would have researched this myself but navigating the literal ocean of different parts and combinations of said parts has proven to be overwhelming, especially for a noob like me.

Hey all I have 2 sticks of 8Gb ram However, I have spare 4Gb ram (adds up to 8 Gbs in total with similar model and the same manufacturer) However, Whenever I try to insert the ram and boot up the PC, I am given a black screen.
My motherboard is a MAG tomahawk B460 (MSI) and despite following instructions for installing the ram (both the manual and other reddit posts) I am still unable to get the computer to boot up properly

The monitors were "leftovers" from a previous J, so I have about a dozen of them.
The "Bracket Pole Mount" & "Laptop drawer" are for the desk I built (will make a separate post later).
The desk is built 'around' the drawers. The drawers are also set high enough that I can open them if I need to be on camera (which is super rare for me).
The dock is great because it doesn't require drivers (but does have specific model requirements) and has a power button on the front. I also use it when I get a crappy dock.
I plug my mouse into the jiggler, and the jiggler & keyboard into the usb hub. The jiggler moves the mouse in a very mechanical way that would be obvious to anyone actually watching it. But it also stops when I touch the mouse and the timeout for it is easily configurable. The hub lets me just turn off the mouse/jiggler & keyboard at the end of the day. The M650L mouse is the large version and it also comes in several colors, which makes it easy for me to see which J I'm working with. The keyboard also let's me set a color (that survives reboots!) that I associate with a particular J.
The headset is an Amazon knock-off, but it's actually pretty good. It has a built in mute button on the boom. I color code this as well. They don't run out of battery if I remember to charge them at the end of the week. I only use the headset for meetings. I use the laptop speakers for notifications.
Finally, The Mute Me Illuminated Physical Mute Button. I love this thing. I set this in front on the monitor stack of each J and I always know when I'm off mute (always be muted). I have color-code cables going to each 'button' (this is a hold over from when I just had one and was swapping it between J's, which didn't last long).
This is an expensive list. Especially when you multiply it by 4. But having a consistent setup for each J is very convenient and it makes it difficult to confuse input devices between J's. Companies frequently send crappy peripherals anyway. The drawers and stands/mounts make for a compact setup. The whole setup is just over 7 feet wide (86 inches).

Looks like there is a new standard G9 with black body. Anyone know what's the difference between this new version and the old original G9? New model is S49CG954 and the old one is LC49G97TSSNXDC.

I'm making a post due to it being incredibly hard to search for my specific problem. There are tons of posts for tvs that turn on and then off again, but my TV doesn't turn off, the screen just goes black after showing the logo clearly for a fraction of a second (no backlight). I figure this is a screen issue but wanted to check and make sure there weren't any other components I should be checking or solutions I could try first.
I took a look at the board and connections inside and found nothing scorched, hot or loose. I can solder, but do not have the necessary tool to test the capacitors.
Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking for a knife that is just like the buck 302 solitaire with the black textured handle but a bit smaller. I had one as my first ever knife and lost it. If someone could find the knife model that would be greatly appreciated as I’m trying to replace my lost one.
