Appearance: Helena is a young woman with soft doe-eyes, and unmistakable curling, golden hair. Raised by smallfolk, and Septa’s she wears her hair up and away from her face to ensure she does not let it get wet while cleaning or in her mouth while singing. She has delicate, porcelain, pale skin and cloudy soft blue eyes. No taller than 5’5” and is most often dressed in conservative simple fashions gathered by herself, or more elegant options gifted to her by a doting patron for formal events. Never shy to present her opinion, Helena has seen the world change, and her place in it numerous times. She is unafraid to do what she must, but knows the role of a woman.
Helena prefers to wear blue and yellow, the colours of Lord Swyft’s old sigil even though she has not lived in Cornfield for many years, and has no personal attachment to the house. Her real love though is unique broaches, and hairpins, different pins reveal different favours or stylings for different lords. She does enjoy crafting dresses as well, when the rare bolt of fabric comes her way she enjoys sewing and tailoring. She is often seen carrying a unique wooden six stringed lyre, or a three stringed lute; the former the cause for her name the Six Eyed Singer. She daps herself with lavender water most mornings, and cleans her teeth with mint, and rose now that she is employed by the Lannisters of Lannisport. Clean teeth are the hallmark of a charming, easy smile to make hearts of men and women alike flutter.

Part 2: Biography
Swyft Sept (3AC - 15AC)Helena’s early life began in the Sept of Cornfield where her mother begged the Septa’s to take her. Dutifully, though reluctantly, they agreed, for what else were they to do, and where else was the girl to go. To the Governess of Cornfield, under the sanctity of the confessional, the woman, aching from the pain of birth and shame, confessed that the little girl was the bastard of Lord Swyft. The Governess, doubtful but knowing the man was not without vice, kept the secret to herself and allowed the girl to remain. The woman, who’s name was never revealed even to the Septa's, fled into the night shortly after never to be seen again. Helena was then, as promised, raised by the septas and the Governess of House Swyft. She learns basic literacy from the Seven Pointed Star with the Sisters and numbers from the Governess. Alongside her studies, she was put to work on chores like maid work, baking, cooking, cleaning, and serving Lord Swyft.
In 11AC, a travelling minstrel named The Lying Lyre arrived at Cornfield. A dashing young man with a shock of blonde curls that tumbled down his back like a mullet captivated Helena with his songs of far-off lands and noble families. In particular he sang of the Maiden’s Bay Tourney, the feats of House Targaryen, and after some time the Field of Fire and the failings of House Lannister. House Swyft was wealthy, and the Liar’s talents earned him much and more coin from the silver mines.
Helena of an age where curiosity ruled a child’s mind was enamoured with the man and his songs. She took up practising the lyre with him, and discovered that while no maestro, she had deft fingers and a mind for lyrics. Impressed by her interest and talent, the Liar gifted her a lyre before he left for future profits in far off lands. Some years of practice though, and a natural storyteller and rumourmonger Helena combined tales of the Seven Pointed Star and was invited to sing in the sept and even twice for Lord Swyft.
Six Eyed Singer (15AC - 20AC)
It was not to last though and following the slaughter in the Kingswood, the line of House Swyft was extinguished. Not wanting to test the new residents of Cornfield, the Warriors Sons and Poor Fellows, after all, all men have vice, she left Cornfield, and took to singing on the road. Going under the name Lyrebird, Helena played and sang for her coin and lodgings, a young girl protected only by being seen when she wanted and an elusive shadow when she did not.
Times on the road were not easy and The Lyrebird drew much attention. This necessitated the need for another alter ego and after a year on the road and towns and villages through the West were soon visited by the travelling Septa Morgan. The Septa heard confessions and sins, gave forgiveness and offered small advice to the poor and needy. She spared coins where she could and allowed Helena to remain covert. It did not matter to most that she was no real septa, she wore the robes, knew the words, and offered as a good moral compass to children. For most in the far flung reaches of the West she was enough.
Being raised in the faith though telling a perpetual lie about being a sister of the cloth was a little too much to bear for Helena. After a year with the reputation of Septa Morgan growing through the small folks of small villages, the Septa soon faded away. Instead Jinny of Aegon’s Rest started coming to smaller castles; Turnbury, Redbramble, Parren Hall, Oldstars and the like. She took on odd jobs cleaning, cooking, teaching a daughter to read or a son to do his numbers. She was after all no threat, knew her letters and numbers herself, and was capable of scheming many a septa or fatherly gatesman to let her in.
Jinny of Aegon’s Rest became a traveller through the keeps of the Westerlands. She heard the tales from children and small folk alike. She had never meant to undertake espionage, but her place inside various courts across the land, and her talent for being in the right place at the right time meant she was an unfortunate witness to many a courtly intrigue. As her small gifts earned her again a broad reputation she would be traded between greater lords. Soon she was playing for the elite, and earning the rewards that came with it. Helena of Cornfield once again took a new name, the Six Eyed Singer, which she quickly used to escape her courtly life and take again to the road as a travelling minstrel.
The Strawberry Tourney and Ball (20AC - Current)
The Six Eyed Singer formed a little bard troupe, nothing extravagant, she wasn’t playing for the Lannisters or the Targaryen’s yet, but enough to provide several shows across the Westerlands, Reach, and former Kingdom of the Trident. Her troupe, much like she had been accidentally, was devious, and while she or they sang, pockets were pinched, and many houses were looted. Her troupe when apart played for all the minor and middle nobles of the Trident and of the Reach too now. She and they were as much a part of the debauchery of the West as any of the wealthy merchants. There was no party too scandalous, no whorehouse unsung, no court too far flung for the right price and the West had gold burning through pockets.
The Six Eyed Singer was not the only bard with a troupe though and soon through the Kingdoms after Aegon’s conquest artisans, bards, and mummers alike filled the world with talent. In 20AC the Songbird made its mark, and with a little bit of fun, a lot of resentment for nobility, and an ingrained childlike sense of chaos, the first of the Songbirds’ letters sang. The voice of the little people flooded across the western coast of the Iron Throne. Lord Belaerys’ dragon had eaten several children whilst growing fat and hungry. Lancel Lannister had claimed the maidenhood of his chambermaid, and sired a bastard all at the age of just fifteen. Lord Frey schemed against his overlord for a free and independent Trident once again. Was all of it true? Impossible to say, but there were enough truths to turn heads, and the songs of the Songbird began to cause chaos in the Westerlands most of all. The Six Eyed Singer and her troupe played through it all, they were bards, but the Songbird was the most famous one of all; not their little merry band.
The Six Eyed Singer though continued her good work, and with her reputation came an invite to participate at the Strawberry Tourney and Ball alongside the other bardic troupes of the West and Reach. She was not so famous as to be alone, merely enough to earn an invite, and a paid job. The planning was years long, and with new songs and tunes came new rumours. While the Six-Eyed Singer played songs such as Fleece-eye, Dornish Sour Grapes, and Lion of the West, the Songbird worked their chaos.
A ripple pulsed through the tourney, first a cheater in the joust was revealed, Ser Byron who was disqualified as a result. Then a second cheater, this time in the melee, then a third cheater again in the joust Lord Payne had accepted a bribe from Lord Reyne to fall early. Cheating in the tourney was just the start, cheating in the bedroom of the ball was the main affair. Here the Songbird revealed three affairs; Lords Serret and Lyden were both fathers to children on women , not their wives. While Lady Serret and Lady Ruskin were bedfriends behind their husbands’ backs. There was one final scandal though, which was revealed to all at the tourney. Septon Karron was no true anointed Septon, and worse there was legitimacy to foulness surrounding young boys who served him.
The chaos broke over the tourney and all the artisans in attendance were forced to flee. Yet, all was not lost, for Lord Gerold Lannister of Lannisport had taken his eye to Helena and her playing. He offered her a job, for he wished to be a great sponsor of art in the new Seven Kingdoms. So it was she came to a courtly position, advising the Lord Lannister on matters of fine art, musicians, mummery, and all manner of artisanal dealings.
Timeline
3AC - Helena is born in the Sept of Cornfield, her mother a woman from Silverhill who begs the septa’s to take the girl in. She reveals her identity to the Governess of House Swyft, and claims the child is Lord Swyft’s bastard. She leaves shortly after giving birth and recovering.
4-10AC - She is raised in the cloister with the sisters, her Septa mothers raising her lessons on reading from the Seven Pointed Star, and numbers from the Governess to ensure that she can do basic arithmetic. She takes basic lessons in scullery maid work, baking, and general service work for old Lord Swyft.
11AC - A travelling minstrel, The Lying Lyre, comes through Cornfield to sing songs of the tourney of Maiden’s Bay, House Targaryen, and the Field of Fire. He takes a liking to the young Helena, and gifts her a lyre. He stays in Cornfield for some time, both because it is lucrative and because he enjoys teaching the young girl.
12-14AC - The Lying Lyre departs Cornfield but leaves a talented and hardworking Helena with the sisters once more. She takes to singing sections of the Seven Pointed Star, and even performs for Lord Swyft a few times.
15AC - The House of Swyft dies out and Helena, unaware of her claimed parentage but with a talent for song leaves the cloister and takes to the road, not trusting the new Warriors Sons or Poor Fellows. She uses the name Lyrebird and sings and plays her lyre for coin to survive.
16AC - After a year on the road Helena takes up the name Septa Morgan and takes to hearing confessions of the poor and needy across the Westerlands. Many of them need guidance and wearing her septa robes she is the perfect person to hear them. She is no real Septa but no amount of explaining the technicality of that stops people asking her to forgive them.
17AC - Her reputation as Septa Morgan grows a little too heavy on her shoulders, and Helena takes to wearing more common clothes, moving from keep to keep and working as a barmaid, scullery girl, and baker amongst other professions. She goes by the name Jinny of Aegon’s Rest.
18AC - Chance takes its favour on her, and Helena with her simple lyre is invited to play at a feast in Lannisport. Dressed now as a travelling minstrel she performs for the gathered nobles and earns herself invitations to other keeps. With her generous benefactors she hires a small troupe to perform her songs across the West.
19AC - Travelling the Westerlands, Helena under the moniker The Six Eyed Singer, takes her talents for being present at feasts and gatherings of all sorts.
20AC - Rumour of The Songbird takes hold, and the West is awash in the voice of the little people.
21AC - The Strawberry Tourney and Ball unfolds and Helena’s skills earn her favour with Lord Gerold Lannister.
22AC - Lord Gerold Lannister recognising her many talents picked her up to be one of the primary serving women in his House. His eye for artistic endeavours endeared him to her enough for a comfortable place as a favoured bard, painter, educator, and common court woman.

For the longest time, you could go to a "ColinThompson.com" website made by Colin Thompson himself, and browse through it quite unimpeded. Even though I remember everybody saying at the time that this website was badly designed.
The design was never a problem for me, personally. It was a matter of looking at the image on the front - which was apparently called "Nana's Album" - until I found the text drawn onto it that was also the right hyperlink. You can say that reading his books trains you to handle such a clustered and chaotic arrangement of HTML buttons.
After a while, the website started to break, and certain links stopped working. You could still kinda get around on browser history or URL manipulation fairly well. Colin Thompson would also go on long periods of time without updating the website or at any rate, updating the notice that tells you the date of the last update. Books would be published and you would have to go to your library to be able to tell.
Now the website's not up at all. I tried the Wayback Archive too, but then it just got scary as I tried browsing around and a clearly-malicious "info dialogue" appeared saying "owned." It even had the Wayback Machine's name as its title for some reason, too. At that point I just noped out of there.
At this point, I can't show you the Colin Thompson website, because I'm scared to retry the Wayback Machine and no amount of image searching has proven worthy of just literally giving the user a screenshot of a bi-decade spanning website that thousands of people have seen. For some reason it thinks I want his illustrations, even though I typed COLINTHOMPSON.COM WEBSITE.
You know, The Internet really sucks with stuff related to this. I've seen so little coverage and exposition on what Colin Thompson has been up to in his career, and I've read two memorable books of his that aren't even listed on his Wikipedia page. It says that he's alive and 81 years old, but genuinely I would not be that surprised if Wikipedia was failing to inform me that he's actually dead. I would be fucking devastated, but not surprised. If you want to know, those two books are "Watch This Space: In the Pink" and "The Corner of My Eye". Titles are approximate. I don't know when they came out. The second name is actually one of his esteemed trademark self-done "detailed" picture books, but I'd say it's not one of his good ones because you come out of it without much wonder and much of the art inside is highly recycled. Like, yes, recycled from previous illustrations in his other picture books.
I really want to know what Colin Thompson is doing these days and to get the website back. I'm not going to try to act like any of these responsibilities should fall on the shoulders of you, but I posted this because it's just something worth talking about. I'm pretty much the Colin Thompson fan. I'd say that if I still had Colin Thompson's email address, it'd be up to me to do something about it. Hey y’all! Just got home from Welcome to Rockville 2024… what a crazy, wild, fun, and HOT weekend! I’m gonna just list out some tips for the festival for anyone that plans on going in the future and some tips for concerts/festivals in general!
everyone is different and this is based on my personal experiences at concerts and festivals. Some tips may be super obvious, but if you’re a first timer, it’s good to have a reminder! There is no guarantee all these tips will apply to you/be allowed at every/future festivals. Make sure to check festival/concert venue rules and regulations before you go
• Sanitizer
• Lip balm with SPF
• Wet wipes
• Tissues (literally will be breathing in dirt/sand and will get congested… blow occasionally)
• Sunglasses
• Bandaids (I had so many blisters from wearing Docs lol)
• Ear plugs
• Power bank/charging cables (lunchbox packs has a great power bank)
• Towel/light blanket (use to sit on the ground if you don’t wanna stand in the crowd or seating in tents is full)
• Extra shirt/bottoms (best to keep in locker. Some stages had a dude with a firehose spraying the crowd and I got drenched. Also one night it got cold and I was able to put a tee on over my bikini and I almost had a bodysuit malfunction another day so having shorts to put on helped)

- Keep an eye on the weather! The weather was hotter than I expected a couple days, and cooler other days. Make sure to pack some back up outfits and FL in May… expect anywhere from 70°-95°… with humidity the first day, it felt like over 100°. They also delayed doors one of the days because of possible thunderstorms. Download the WTR app to get alerts right away!
- Lockers are lifesavers! Who wants to carry extra weight all day?! I splurged on a 4 day locker and am so happy I did. Great meet up spot when you’re with friends and get separated, can throw a towel and extra clothes and sunscreen in it and grab what you need when you need it. Wanna go in a pit or crowd surf? Toss everything in your locker. Don’t want to be bringing things in and out of the festival? Leave it in the locker overnight!
- To avoid heat exhaustion and passing out, stay hydrated!! I did not drink any alcohol until sunset each day and drank lots of water during peak heat of the day. They ended up allowing hydro packs because it was so hot. I would bring one along just in case they say you can bring them in. I do not condone drugs but if you insist on taking them, be aware that Rockville had a police dog at gates and please be safe and don’t test your limits at a festival
- More on bags and hydro packs… www.lunchboxpacks.com has clear bags with hydro packs. If they don’t allow the hydro pack, you can remove it. These bags have anti-theft zippers and pockets, and with all the reports of lost phones and other items being literally stolen out of pockets and bags, this bag really helped keep everything secure. For me, this bag passed through security with no issue. Side note, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK if they haven’t announced letting hydro packs in, you can hid the bag and tube in your clothes, it’s all plastic and won’t set off an alarm.
- List of helpful items to bring:

- Dress “code”: wear whatever you want (ladies, nips have to be covered!). I saw people covered head to toe, in comfy clothes, costumes, and people wearing pasties and thongs. Anything goes! They are strict on spikes… do NOT wear anything with spikes. They allowed small chain necklaces, but no thick chains… however, day 1, walking to the entrance of the security line I had thick chain necklaces on and the security guard at the entrance told me to hide them in my bag… I got them through that way and then put them on. It seems like once you get through security, they don’t care unless some issue arises from something you’re wearing/brought in.
- Crowd safety! Careful in the pits! Remember the number one rule… if someone falls… PICK THEM UP. We are a family so let’s help each other stay safe. If you see someone acting up, tell security. If someone is stealing, tell security. If someone is about to/is passing out, get a medic. If you are near a pit and not in it, keep an eye on it so you don’t get knocked over. If someone comes at you, don’t freak out and shy away, just push them back in. If the pit is behind you, my best defense (I am a pretty small female so be careful with this one if you’re bigger) has been shoving my elbows back behind me to keep people from knocking me forward. Make sure you look back occasionally/pay attention to people around you because there will be an insane amount of crowd surfing… someone even went up in a wheelchair during Slipknot and ADTR told people to crowd surf on top of a crowd surfer… it got crazy and dangerous so STAY ALERT
- Finding your way around… you will have slim to no reception. Keep an eye on landmarks… stages, sound booths, entrances, rides, lights, tents, food trucks, etc. this will help you navigate and set up meeting spots for when you’re with friends. Keep screenshots of the set times and circle what bands you are going to. Set your lock screen to a screenshot of a note with info if your phone is lost or stolen (number of friend/family to call if someone picks up your phone or police catch a thief, your name, etc.) and change home screen to a map of festival.
- Food and drinks: look at all the food options before you pay… some booths give you a kiddie portion for $20+ and some give you more than a full size meal for $15. Try to eat proteins AND carbs since you will be walking a LOT. Protein is going to help with your muscles, while something with carbs will fill you up more so you don’t have to eat as much/often! The drinks are also pricey. The Heavy Tiki booth was definitely the best deal, frozen cocktails in a huge cup with a shot of dark rum on top… $22! Small mixed drinks were about $18.

hello, so this might be sort of a dumb question but I really don't know what else to do so I figured I'd ask here. sorry if this is not the right place to ask, if there is a better place, please let me know so I can head there
anyway, I'm planning on legally changing my lastname soon and I'm a bit worried the court will not find the reasons for change good enough. I'll tell you the reasons here so you can take a look at them
my parents are mexican, I was born in the united states. in mexico children inherit one lastname from their father and another from their mother, totaling 2 lastnames. when i was born my parents had only been in the united states for a few years. my mother wanted me to have two lastnames like is tradition in mexico but my father told her it was best if I only carried his in order to follow the customs of the united states. my mother says my father was worried it would be more difficult to assimilate into the new country if my name was not traditional
the 1st reason I want to change my lastname is to add my mother's lastname to my name so that way I could carry 1 lastname from both parents and my name would follow mexican tradition
the 2nd reason is because I am a dual citizen of both the united states and mexico. in mexico my name is the same except I also carry my mother's last name. I want my name in both countries to match. I just don't really like that it's different. it's weird
the 3rd reason is because my parents divorced and I have lived with my mother since then. she has supported me my whole life. this isn't to say my father hasn't, but due to me living with her I feel like she has been there for me more, if that makes sense. she's a very important person in my life, and I want her to have her lastname in my name even more because of that
these are the reasons I want to change my lastname. I don't know why but I am worried the court will not find these reasons good enough, especially since I'm not changing my name much, only adding a lastname. anyway, I'm planning on legally changing my lastname soon and I'm a bit worried the court will not find the reasons for change good enough. I'll tell you the reasons here so you can take a look at them
my parents are mexican, I was born in the united states. in mexico children inherit one lastname from their father and another from their mother, totaling 2 lastnames. when i was born my parents had only been in the united states for a few years. my mother wanted me to have two lastnames like is tradition in mexico but my father told her it was best if I only carried his in order to follow the customs of the united states. my mother says my father was worried it would be more difficult to assimilate into the new country if my name was not traditional
the 1st reason I want to change my lastname is to add my mother's lastname to my name so that way I could carry 1 lastname from both parents and my name would follow mexican tradition
the 2nd reason is because I am a dual citizen of both the united states and mexico. in mexico my name is the same except I also carry my mother's last name. I want my name in both countries to match. I just don't really like that it's different. it's weird
the 3rd reason is because my parents divorced and I have lived with my mother since then. she has supported me my whole life. this isn't to say my father hasn't, but due to me living with her I feel like she has been there for me more, if that makes sense. she's a very important person in my life, and I want her to have her lastname in my name even more because of that

6-7 months ago, I upgraded my gaming rig. These are my old specs:
I'm currently rocking a Corsair 4000D Airflow as my case, and a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Black Edition CPU cooler. They're the same as what I was running in my old build, and I think they're working fine function-wise.
Ok so question time. I have two paths going forward: Should I get a new PC case and CPU cooler for my current/new PC, and swap the old parts back into the 4000D, or should I just get a cheap case and cooler for the old parts and keep my current/new PC in the 4000D? What do you think?

Also, any recommendations on cases or coolers? I was going to go for the blue version of the MONTECH King 95, but $160 for a case, even if it comes with fans, is a little bit pricy. I love the look of it though. Then just throw in an AIO and we're good. Alternatively, a white Sevenhero H602 is $100, and comes with 5 fans. Throw in an AIO, and we're solid.
Are AIOs really worth it? Should I go this route with a 12700K? Any decent ones for sub $100 USD?
If I got a cheaper case for the old parts, I'd probably just buy no-name case with decent reviews, and get another Hyper 212 cooler.

Edit 2: When it comes to the AIO, I should mention, I tend to forget PC maintenance. Cleaning my PC doesn't really cross my mind, and even when it does, I still don't do it half the time lol Would an AIO be more prone to failure without cleaning? Based on this, would an air cooler be a better fit?

6-7 months ago, I upgraded my gaming rig. These are my old specs:
- i7-8700
- RTX 2070 Super
- 32gb (4x8gb) 2666MHz DDR4 RAM
- ASRock H370 Performance ATX Motherboard
- CORSAIR - CX-M Series CX650M PSU
- RTX 3080 TI OC (I don't OC currently)
- i9-12700K (No plans to OC, got it for the higher boosts)
- 32gb (2x16gb) 6000MHz DDR5 RAM (Plan to upgrade to 64gb eventually)
- GIGABYTE B760 AORUS Elite AX ATX Motherboard (Didn't go for a Z mobo because I have no plans to OC CPU)
- MSI MAG A850GL PSU
I'm currently rocking a Corsair 4000D Airflow as my case, and a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Black Edition CPU cooler. They're the same as what I was running in my old build, and I think they're working fine function-wise.
Ok so question time. I have two paths going forward: Should I get a new PC case and CPU cooler for my current/new PC, and swap the old parts back into the 4000D, or should I just get a cheap case and cooler for the old parts and keep my current/new PC in the 4000D? What do you think?

I think this is a topic we should continuously bring up and discuss because I believe creating a base or home is such an important part of Fallout. After a long day of fighting off the monsters and horrors of Appalachia, we sometimes just want to come home to our homey base and admire our creation and hard work. The more I build, the more I feel restricted on what I can do and have to really plan and sacrifice some creative designs to meet with the building limitations. With the evermore additions to things we can add to our base, base building really needs to be refined. I'll add what we had last post and what suggestions were made as well. I'll also add more of what I've noticed from my return to the game. Previous post for reference.
To add more to the strain of base limits, is it possible to put things on shelves? I feel like they're so bare, id like to have them display items like display cases do.. that would be an amazing change!
Speaking of display cases..
I also believe the limits on display shouldn't be towards the category but towards the item. Wall Displays should be separate than the floor glass display or any floor display to be honest. Even if you didn't increase the total limit for building displays and just separated how many you can make of each (mind you don't decrease the amount to 5 each..), this would improve our base building quality of life.
To further talk about displays, sometimes I can't place wall mounted displays because that wall doesn't have support below, though I was still able to build the wall. If the wall exists, the wall mounted display should be able to go on it.
Scrapping my building item (generator, wall, lights) and losing most of its materials is a little frustrating. If I built it, I should get my materials back though I understand that is what storing items is and that you want to continue to have a game loop for gathering materials. So, its not a huge thing if this isn't changed in some way. Maybe I'm upset because I scrapped a generator to build it after I change the floor and didn't have enough materials anymore to re-build the generator. lol.
Fast Travel Spawn Point
This is a really cool request. Give us the ability to choose where players spawn when they fast travel to my base? Have one custom spawn point that must be put on a foundation or floor. Reason I say this is because my base is on a cliff and sometimes people or even myself don't spawn in my base but on the side of the cliff and then I have to fast travel again. It'd be nice to just have them spawn in a location that is preset so that no one falls or gets stuck.
I can see players setting up traps and what not with this, though I think the benefit outweighs the negative. There are many free fast travel locations if you get stuck and you only drop junk on death so? Maybe I don't know of other negatives from dying but I feel like most people want to show off their homes and not setup prisons lmao.
Shelves as displays
I talked about this earlier though shelves feel empty and I feel like my kitchen shelving would look nice if I can store some ingredients on them. Make it look more full and lively. Otherwise idk what to do with them lmao. Doesn't need to be crazy, just like fill the front side of the shelving unit and have 3 or 4 items to be displayed on the shelf. Also if this is implemented, items on shelves should not go towards STASH limits.
Renaming Power Chassis
I get confused on which power chassis hold what or displays what. Its like 7 power chassis in my stash. It'd be nice to name them lol.
Mark as To Be Scrapped
It'd be nice to mark items as "To Be Scrapped" so you know what you want to scrap, or even sell. That way you don't scrap something by mistake.
Guest Book
I remember reading somewhere an idea of having a guest sign book so that people that visit could sign saying like "I was here' or maybe "yolo 420" lol but it could also be emotes, stickers, pre-generated phrasing that people could sign with like a date saying when they signed it. Would be cool. Even something that could be done on the personal terminal?.

Disclaimer of Understanding
Listen, I understand there could be hardware limitations in regarding to number of items or models that can be loading and unloaded at any time for the servers though we need to find some middle ground. A way to optimize the base limits to allow for more creativity. I also understand there could be programming limitations though refactoring some the base building limits is a positive change and worth while, especially to continue improving on this game long term (if that's what is planned to be).Quick bullet points of Ideas from previous post
- Wallpaper to be painted on BOTH sides of the wall.
- For the love of god, increase base building limits, since we cant have two camps at the same time. I'm trying to decorate haha. Ideally id love a camp to build my vendor store and a home but hey..im good with either.
- why hard limit displays? I'm a collector, let me show off my collectables :( .. increase or remove display limits.
- Vendor should have a recently sold list. Like 5 items. Sometimes I miss the notifications :(
- allow me to mass select items and scrap. Unless I'm missing something I cant seem to find this feature anywhere.
- posters and wallpaper seem to have troubles meshing. Hopefully this could be fixed. I find posters hide behind wallpaper. Also..
- why does changing wallpaper remove everything off of wall. Sad times. Hopefully this could be changed.

Base Building Limits Extended
Lets talk about some Quality of Life updates that would help our base building experience. I'll dive deeper into some of the points that need some extra points to it.For the love of god, increase base building limits, since we cant have two camps at the same time..A further increase to maximum storage is not what we're talking about ( while this is something that can be improved upon), we want to be able to build more around our base, the total base building limit is what needs to be increased. Wires should not be apart of the base building costs in my opinion, this would help alleviate some room in the limit. I'm also hoping that wallpaper and things inside the displays don't count towards it but I have not personally checked.

STASH Quality of Life Updates
These points were mentioned before but I'm going to mention them again. I understand that Fallout 1st is a good way for you to make some money on the stash limits, so upgrading the already set 1200 storage limit is unlikely BUT there are things that count towards stash that should not be. Such as:- Vendor Items. These should not count towards our stash limit, its in the vendor..
- Displays. The item or weapon is being displayed outside my stash, therefore should not count towards my stash. This should be the case for all displays including bobblehead displays, Nuka-cola displays and so forth. This would alleviate so much space for some people and allow there to be more room without needing to increase the hard limit on STASH space.

Conclusion
Look, I get it, some of these features are big asks but overall the quality of life improvements to STASH limits by removing the items displayed and in the vendor would be such a good change and one that wouldn't require too much refactoring of the CAMP code base (I hope). A lot of what was mentioned is nice to have but some are like really important to the ecosystem of building your base. Display limit segregation, removing wires as counting towards base limit, fast travel spawn point, undo button are just some to name that would bring big changes to the base building feature in this game.Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Heya everyone who may be reading this!! I'm here looking for a genuine connection, and taking things slow to get to know each other is fine by me! I'm mainly looking for a friendship where we can both be open with each other. :)
Gaming is definitely my main hobby as of now, and I play a variety of different types. From horror to casual I'm usually up for whatever. I also happen to be a streamer! Vtuber to be specific. I ain't big or anything as I take it casually, but I love my community to bits and I've made so many great friends because of it. It's helped me play more games and get to stuff I may have missed before. For example, I played through all the 3d Zelda games, and I also am playing Paper Mario which I am loving! I'd love to talk more about it and the games we love later, as I love learning about new people!
I quite enjoy TV shows, anime, and movies and have a bunch of hobbies I'd love to learn like art, but...here comes the big caveat with me: i suffer from pretty extreme depression that's made it hard for me to do things I used to enjoy as I can barely focus unless someone sits down with me to do it. The main reason I started streaming is so I'd be able to play games again as it was so hard for me to so so otherwise. I don't have a job and have lived with my mom for the past 8 years, and while I'm trying my best (currently trying adhd meds), it's been rough. Don't get me wrong, though. My mood is relatively stable and I'm actually quite positive and optimistic, though my current meds are messing with my head a bit. I may need some pokes if I don't respond right away and patience would be super appreciated. I've grown so much as a person over the years and have learned a lot about myself and how to be comfortable with who I am and embrace it. So yeah, I totally understand if you don't wanna deal with my current situation and all that. I just wanted to be upfront about it so you know what you're getting into.
ANYWAYS!! I consider myself a chill, goofy, and caring person, and I genuinely love helping people and hope to make it my career someday and be something like a social worker or counselor. I just really enjoy making other people happy, ya know? I can also be relatively shy and awkward, but at the same time I have the energy and enthusiasm to make up for it. I like to consider myself an 'extroverted introvert' if you will. I also really try to be open with my emotions and approach things upfront, and loyalty is a HUGE thing for me. I am loyal to a fault and will stick by someone's side even if it's probably not good for me if I care about them enough.

AM I TAH?
So for starters my best friend from kindergarten is mad at me. 19 years of friendship.
They recently started “ghosting me” (ignoring my messages/phone calls) this isn’t nothing out of the usual as she does have a mental disorder (BPD) we call it their “going rouge” episodes so I didn’t think much of it. They usually snap out of it within a month or so. Well it was well over 6 months and they’ve been active on fb, snap, and everything else. Ignoring my meme tags. That’s never been like them before. So I messaged and asked if they were seriously ok, and if I did something to make them mad… well I got a long message…
They said there was 2 main reasons why they weren’t talking to me anymore.
They said I was “acting better” than them bc I told them my car was 30,000 dollars more than theirs… just wait here me out.. they got a car that was a fraction of the cost of mine (nothing wrong with that at all) but they were crying to me on the phone when it had broke down and said they thought maybe it was a bad decision. I tried to reassure them that just because it may break down it’s cheaper to fix than buying a new one. As they claim they don’t want a huge car payment.
A brief explanation my car was 30,000 and it has had almost 9,000 dollars of warranty work done. (Thank god for extended warranties) My car has been in the shop more than I had it.
As they was crying to me overthinking their decision I tried to reassure them that hey, all cars break down. “My car was 30,000 and broke down so many times at least you will have way less than that put into your car after you get it fixed. (Their car needed a new head gasket). They claim I was trying to make it seem like mine was more expensive than theirs
I’m not saying this to be mean at all because I truly have tried to work with them with their diagnosis. But All our lives they’ve always made everything a competition. They’ve lived with a narcissist and their parent was diagnosed with it.
Their second reason to “ghost me” was recently they and their partner were looking at buying a house. The house next to me became up for sale. We both thought it would be a perfect idea. (Not knowing the price) They wanted me to ask the realtor how much they wanted for it. Come to find out it’s over quarter of a million dollar house. With 40+ acres. They advised me both of their credit aren’t the greatest and asked if I could put my name on the loan with them as my credit is almost near perfect and If I could help them with a down payment. (They know I have a good chunck saved up for when I buy a home)
I told them I was not comfortable doing it as I don’t even have my own home yet, and when I do go to buy my home it will show I already own a home. (Their home) I advised them that getting a mortgage is harder than just going to a bank and getting approved for an absurd amount as the average houses in our area go for 60-90k (we live in a very small run down town) they are both just starting out, no kids and this house is a 4 bedroom 3 bath house. I told them I don’t know if the bank would even qualify all 3 of us combined.
I make 40,000 a year. 14 an hour. I work OVERTIME. Almost 70 hours a week. 66 hours regularly. More if I get called in on call.. I am single and asexual (a little tmi but it matters here) I do not plan on having a partner in the future. So I will be a one income person. So I need to save up as much as I can now so I will be able to afford my mortgage with a good down payment when time comes. Their significant other makes 15+ and they make 14+ an hour. More than double what I make, they both live with their parents with hardly any bills… (some but not to the point they shouldn’t be able to save) I have bills, car payment, drive a lot for work I spend a lot in gas and pay rent. Neither of them have major bills.
They’re seriously mad at me for telling them I can’t risk not being able to afford to live comfortably. I can’t take that risk. We grew up and still live in the 5th poorest county in our state. We all got lucky to get good jobs as most around here are minimum wage jobs. I seriously do not want to grow up in poverty like we did growing up. It may sound silly but my goal in life is to own my own home and be somewhat financially stable and not have to live off the government to survive as all 3 of us had to do growing up. That is my ONLY goal in life.
In my closing statement I really love them to death. We literally grew up together. Our families are so bonded we are all a family. It hurts me they are not talking to me because “I made my self look better than them” and “I made it seem like they won’t go anywhere in life” I’ve NEVER thought that at all in my life. I AM their biggest supporter. We see our selves siblings. I’m hoping this is just something we can get over.

The job market is tough out there, but I noticed a few people I know who seem to to be doing ok and picked their brain to understand why.
Note that these experiences are specific to California tech industry (mix of swe, pm, sales, ds) and isn't very helpful if you're looking for a job right now. But I've found it helpful for thinking about how to build a career that makes it so one doesn't need to job search again. These are all people with 5-10 years of work experience
1. They don't apply to jobs
They get multiple interviews and job offers per year through a mixture of cold outreach from recruiters and people they worked with in the past asking them to join them. They almost never apply to jobs, and when they do it's when they aren't actively looking to change jobs but because the role is a uniquely good fit for what they're interested in. Earlier in their careers they got recruited by no-name or not very high quality companies, but as time went on (5+ years) they started to get recruited by big tech or hot tech startups.
2. They've interviewed at least a few times per year for their entire career, even when they didn't need to
They do this to keep their interview skills fresh and to understand what skills the market is seeking or headed in. This helps them figure out which projects and teams to transfer to. These are generally interviews they got from #1. Sometimes these turned into actual jobs that they took
They get these interviews thru 2 main ways:
3. They have a clear brand that jumps off their Linkedin profiles
One person I have in mind has a strong record in ecommerce sales and a record of being promoted and eventually got good brand names on their resume. Another person has a mixture of work, volunteer, and personal projects that show their competency in data science. When recruiters keyword search for terms related to these roles, they're likely to come up in their results.
Earlier in their careers they did things to show interest or experience in their field, even though they only had an internship or maybe 1 job (or no jobs). They did a bunch of projects, volunteering, organized local meetups, etc., usually on nights and weekends. In some cases they tried to reverse engineer what keywords recruiters might look for and frame their experiences around that
4. They built credibility in all of their past jobs. Their colleagues left and recruited them.
These people didn't job hop every year. They stayed in each place for a couple years, or in any case built up enough credibility so that when their colleagues joined new companies and were looking for people, they were the first ones they asked to come along. Interestingly, some of these people weren't well-liked by their referrals, but their reputation was strong enough

Earlier in their careers they got recruited by no-name or not very high quality companies, but as time went on (5+ years) they started to get recruited by big tech or hot tech startups.

They do this to keep their interview skills fresh and to understand what skills the market is seeking or headed in. This helps them figure out which projects and teams to transfer to. These are generally interviews they got from #1. Sometimes these turned into actual jobs that they took

3. They have a clear brand that jumps off their Linkedin profiles
One person I have in mind has a strong record in ecommerce sales and a record of being promoted and eventually got good brand names on their resume. Another person has a mixture of work, volunteer, and personal projects that show their competency in data science. When recruiters keyword search for terms related to these roles, they're likely to come up in their results.
Earlier in their careers they did things to show interest or experience in their field, even though they only had an internship or maybe 1 job (or no jobs). They did a bunch of projects, volunteering, organized local meetups, etc., usually on nights and weekends. In some cases they tried to reverse engineer what keywords recruiters might look for and frame their experiences around that
4. They built credibility in all of their past jobs. Their colleagues left and recruited them.
These people didn't job hop every year. They stayed in each place for a couple years, or in any case built up enough credibility so that when their colleagues joined new companies and were looking for people, they were the first ones they asked to come along. Interestingly, some of these people weren't well-liked by their referrals, but their reputation was strong enough
